Chapter 25:
Ichigo led Elizabeth and Kahlua to the staff dormitories and showed Kahlua to her room. "So, this is where I'll stay while I'm here?" Kahlua asked.
"Yes," Ichigo replied. "Let me show you where my room is."
He led her down the hallway, stopping at his door. Ichigo unlocked it and stepped inside.
"Kahlua, can you look after Elizabeth for me while I'm gone?" he asked.
"Sure. But I don't have anything for her to play with," Kahlua pointed out.
"We do," Elizabeth said, grabbing Kahlua's hand and pulling her toward her own room. Ichigo followed them. Elizabeth opened the door to reveal a room filled with toys.
"Wow, look at all these toys!" Kahlua exclaimed.
"Stay safe, you two. I'll be back soon," Ichigo said.
"Bye, Tou-san," Elizabeth said with a wave.
"Bye-bye, Ichigo-san," Kahlua added. Ichigo gave a final glance before tearing open a Garganta and stepping through.
Scene Change: Banzai Bazaar
Ichigo emerged from the Garganta into a secluded alley in Banzai Bazaar. He walked toward Ozu's Wands, overhearing a conversation among wizards, witches, and yōkai about Yasaka's royal decree.
"Hey man, what do you think of Yasaka-hime's royal decree?" one man asked.
"I believe it's about time those fools get what they deserve," another replied.
Ichigo continued walking and soon arrived at Ozu's Wands, entering to see Ozu Miyuki and seven others.
"Hello, everyone," Ichigo greeted.
"Hello, Ichigo-sama," Miyuki responded with a bow, the others following suit.
"So, who are all of you?" Ichigo asked.
"I'm Ozu Isamu, lord of the Ozu Clan and Miyuki's husband," Isamu said.
"I'm Ozu Makito, eldest child of the Ozu Clan, specializing in Earth Magic," Makito added.
"I'm Ozu Houka, second eldest, and I specialize in Air Magic," Houka said.
"I'm Ozu Urara, the middle child, focusing on Water Magic," Urara introduced herself.
"I'm Ozu Hikaru, married to Urara, and I specialize in Holy Magic," Hikaru said.
"I'm Ozu Tsubasa, second youngest, specializing in Lightning Magic," Tsubasa followed.
"And I'm Ozu Kai, the youngest, focusing on Fire Magic," Kai said.
"Thank you for the introductions," Ichigo said.
"Now, let's present you with your staff," Miyuki said, moving toward the back of the store.
"Kai, close the shop," Isamu ordered.
"Yes, Tou-sama," Kai responded, flipping the open sign. Immediately, a black gate descended and sealed the door.
Miyuki returned with a large bundle wrapped in black cloth.
"Ichigo, please walk over to this counter," she instructed. Ichigo stepped forward, and Miyuki unwrapped the bundle. Ichigo was struck by the sight.
"This staff required the combined effort of the entire Ozu Clan," Isamu explained. "I fused the Ash, Aspen, Ebony, Elder, Fir, Pine, and Yew wood with dragon fangs, Yasaka-hime's and Kunou-hime's hair, a Phoenix Feather, and Thestral Hairs."
"Each of us carved and added the gems carefully," Hikaru added, and his siblings nodded in agreement.
"I assembled the staff," Miyuki said. "It stands at 170 centimeters (5'7"), mostly golden and black. The bottom tapers into a spear tip, and the top is unique. At its center is a large Rainbow Moonstone (1)."
"On either side of the Moonstone are six segments, each representing an element. From left to right: Ruby for Fire, Sapphire for Water, Emerald for Wind, Imperial Topaz for Earth, Black Star Gemstone for Darkness, and White Star Gemstone for Light," Hikaru explained.
"It's beautiful," Ichigo said in awe.
"Go ahead, take your staff, and let your magic flow through it," Miyuki said. Ichigo carefully grasped the staff, channeling his reiatsu through it. He felt warmth radiate from the staff in response.
"Ichigo... once you're done, we need you here!" Kyōka's voice echoed through the mindscape.
"We've got a new guest, and she's HOT!" Zangetsu shouted.
"Okay, Kyōka. I'll be there soon," Ichigo replied.
"How does it feel?" Miyuki asked.
"It feels warm. Like reconnecting with an old friend I haven't seen in a long time," Ichigo mused.
"That's how many feel with a custom wand—or in your case, a staff."
"Can I shrink it down and use it like a wand?"
"Yes, but be careful when casting magic in its shrunken form. Too much power could damage the staff."
"I see. How do I shrink it?"
"Just imagine it shrinking." Ichigo focused, and the 170 cm staff gradually shrank to a 30 cm wand, the seven gems neatly aligned in a row.
"Thank you for your hard work," Ichigo said, bowing to the Ozu Clan.
"The pleasure was ours," Isamu replied. Ichigo walked out of Ozu's Wands, sending the staff into his mindscape to keep it safe.
Ichigo wandered through Banzai Bazaar for a while, overhearing more opinions about Yasaka's stance on Fairy Tale. He spent the next twenty minutes picking up various magical books from both legitimate and questionable vendors. With his shopping complete, Ichigo found a secluded alleyway and, thinking of his room back at Yōkai Academy, tore open a Garganta and jumped through.
Scene Change: Yōkai Academy – Bedroom
Ichigo emerged from the Garganta to find Elizabeth and Kahlua playing with dolls. The sight brought a smile to his face—both were clearly enjoying themselves.
"Hello, girls," Ichigo greeted.
"Tou-san!" Elizabeth cried, rushing over to cling to his leg. Kahlua stood and walked toward him.
"Did you enjoy playing with Kahlua?"
"She was fun! We played with my dolls," Elizabeth said excitedly.
"Good to hear," Ichigo said, turning to Kahlua. "Has Moka come back yet?"
"No, not yet," Kahlua replied. Ichigo checked the clock—he'd only been gone for twenty minutes. He decided to wait an hour before looking for her.
"I'm going to meditate in my room for a bit," Ichigo said.
"Okay, Tou-san," Elizabeth replied.
"Okay, Ichigo-san," Kahlua added. They resumed playing. Ichigo headed to his bedroom and sat cross-legged, focusing on his meditation.
Scene Change: Mindscape
Ichigo entered his mindscape and noticed a new tower—a five-story pentagon-shaped structure. Letters glowed on its sides: A, E, G, I, L, M, and V.
"It looks like the physical manifestation of the Schrifts," Ichigo thought. Following the trail of reiatsu, he arrived at the base of a large mountain, where a traditional Japanese manor stood at the summit. Eleven nobori (2) banners adorned the house, each with its own distinctive design.
On the far left, Ichigo saw a white nobori with "Yamamoto [山本]" written in black kanji outlined in red fire.
The second was black, featuring a Quincy Zeichen.
The third was also black but with a yellow stinger.
The fourth was icy blue with a snowflake.
The fifth displayed the kanji for light [光, but the bottom part was cut diagonally to reveal the kanji for dragon [竜].
The sixth was white, with "Kurosaki [黒崎]" in black and outlined in orange.
The seventh was black with the kanji for darkness [闇, also cut diagonally to reveal the kanji for dragon.
The eighth was green with a white moon lotus flower.
The ninth was purple with a white skull surrounded by revolving kanji that read ノーゲーム・ノーライフ [No Game No Life].
The tenth was black and white, forming a yin-yang symbol.
The final banner was black, with "Shiba Clan [志波家]" in white, set against a backdrop of fireworks.
Ichigo shunpō'ed to the top of the mountain and entered the manor, finding his spirits and familiars seated at one side of a large table. On the other side sat a beautiful stranger.
She was a stunning young woman with light tan skin and a voluptuous figure, accentuated by her very large, DD-sized breasts. Her hair was a striking two-toned cascade of black and gold, flowing down to her ankles. From Ichigo's perspective, her hair had two distinct layers: the outer layer was pitch black, reminiscent of the night sky, while the inner layer shimmered in a golden-blond hue.
She appeared to have heterochromia, her eyes captivating in their contrast. Her right eye was a crimson red with a white iris, while her left eye was a serene sky blue with a black iris.
Her attire was a dark and elegant ensemble, featuring black Gothic Lolita fashion that enhanced her mysterious allure. On her back, Ichigo noticed two distinctly different draconic wings. The right wing was black and red, exuding a fiery, fierce aura, while the left wing was blue and white, evoking a sense of calm and icy elegance.
At her lower back, nine fox tails swayed gracefully from side to side. Their colors mirrored her hair, with the side closest to the ground a deep black and the side near her body glowing golden.
Ichigo also observed her hands. Instead of nails, each finger was tipped with a golden claw, adding an edge of danger to her ethereal beauty.
Ichigo sat down, his spirits gathered on one side of the table, facing the enigmatic stranger.
"Who are you?" Ichigo asked, his tone calm but commanding.
"I don't have a name," the woman replied, her voice smooth and ethereal, as though she carried the essence of magic itself.
"What are you, then?" he pressed.
"I am the physical manifestation of your magic."
Ichigo blinked, surprised. "How did that happen?"
"I don't know," she admitted softly.
Kyōka leaned forward, her expression thoughtful. "I might have a theory."
Ichigo turned to her. "Go on."
"At the end of the day, each of us is a physical representation of your powers," Kyōka began, her tone steady. "When you bonded with the staff, the magic of this world surged toward Schrift M—it's the closest thing to a magical core in your body. Somehow, during that process, she was created."
"Not just created," Yhwach added, his deep voice resonating through the mindscape. "She embodies pieces of all the beings who contributed to the staff."
Ichigo's eyes narrowed as he examined her carefully. He could see it now—her golden-blond hair was Yasaka's, the pitch-black strands unmistakably Ophis's. Her figure and aura brought to mind Kisara and Valiona, while her wings seemed to blend Kisara's and Valiona's draconic nature with the ethereal essence of Yūyami and the Thestral. The Gothic Lolita attire? Classic Ophis.
Hōgyoku chimed in. "She's an amalgamation—the personification of your magic."
Ichigo sighed, running a hand through his hair. "So… do you have an idea for a name?"
The woman shook her head. "I do not."
Ichigo pondered for a moment. "What about… Magus?"
She frowned slightly. "Too masculine."
"What about Mysteria?" he suggested.
The woman's lips curled into a soft smile. "Mysteria… I like it. It feels magical—and feminine."
"Perfect." Ichigo nodded in approval. "Kyōka, Hōgyoku—take care of Mysteria. Tonight, we start my magic training."
"Understood," Mysteria said, her voice carrying a hint of excitement.
"Any other business I should know about?" Ichigo asked, glancing around the table. When no one spoke, he stood up. "Good. Meeting adjourned."
As the spirits and familiars welcomed Mysteria into the fold, Ichigo turned and left his mindscape.
Scene Change: Yōkai Academy – Bedroom
Ichigo opened his eyes, exhaling slowly as he reoriented himself. Standing up, he exited the room to find Elizabeth and Kahlua rummaging through the cupboards.
"You girls hungry?" Ichigo asked, a teasing smile on his lips.
Elizabeth popped up quickly. "Tou-san!"
"No, we're just exploring," Kahlua replied hastily. Unfortunately, her stomach chose that moment to betray her, letting out a loud, embarrassing growl. Kahlua's cheeks flushed crimson as Elizabeth burst into laughter and Ichigo chuckled softly.
"Don't worry, I'll whip something up," Ichigo offered. "Elizabeth, why don't you show Kahlua-obasan what Karin-obasan taught you?"
Elizabeth's face lit up with excitement. "Kahlua-obasan, come with me! I'll show you how to set the table."
Ichigo smiled as the pair ran off, then turned to the kitchen. After a quick search, he gathered ingredients: fresh cuts of meat, plum paste, yellow onions, rice, and a selection of seasonings. With practiced precision, he began to cook, his movements fluid and graceful. Elizabeth and Kahlua soon returned to watch, awestruck.
"Amazing. Tou-san looks like he's dancing," Elizabeth thought as she watched Ichigo move.
Unfazed by the attention, Ichigo finished preparing the meal. He carefully plated the food in donburi bowls, layering rice, savory meat, and caramelized onions before placing lids on the dishes. Elizabeth and Kahlua rushed to wash their hands before sitting eagerly at the table.
"Itadakimasu," they chimed together as they began to eat.
The sound of satisfied moans filled the room.
"Tou-san's cooking is amazing!" Elizabeth exclaimed between bites.
"My god, this is divine!" Kahlua thought to herself. "If this is how I'll be treated here, I'm never leaving."
Soon, the bowls were empty, and Elizabeth turned her wide, pleading eyes toward Ichigo. "Tou-san, can I have some more?"
Ichigo chuckled. "This last bowl is for Kaa-san. Don't you want her to have some of this delicious food, too?"
Elizabeth faltered, clearly conflicted. Ichigo grinned and returned from the kitchen with another bowl. "Don't worry—I'll make her a fresh one later."
"THANK YOU, TOU-SAN!" Elizabeth cheered, digging in once again.
Once they finished, Ichigo gathered the dishes and started washing them. "Kahlua, can you give Elizabeth a bath?"
"Sure!" Kahlua agreed, leading a giggling Elizabeth toward the bathroom. Ichigo heard snippets of their conversation about bubbles and bath toys, making him smile.
Finishing the dishes, Ichigo glanced at the clock. It was getting late. "I'll check up on Moka," he muttered to himself, heading for the door.
As he left, he called into the empty air, "Can one of you keep an eye on them while I'm gone?"
"I will," Hōgyoku replied as she materialized, her presence calm and protective.
"Thank you," Ichigo said as he shunpō'ed towards Yōkai Academy. Upon arrival at the entrance, Ichigo walked inside and began his search for the Newspaper Club. With the help of a few members of the Student Police Division, he found it in about ten minutes. As he approached, he noticed the lights were off. Ichigo opened the door to find the room empty. A light bulb on the wall caught his attention. He reached out to touch it, but it was cool to the touch.
"Shit," Ichigo muttered as he walked out of the Newspaper Club. Taking a deep breath, he focused on tracking Moka's Yōki. Following the faded trail, he eventually found himself in front of the dimensional tunnel that allowed Yōkai to enter and exit the school. Without hesitation, he shunpō'ed inside the tunnel.
Scene Change: Mountainside
Ichigo emerged from the portal and immediately noticed a blimp floating in the sky. His senses confirmed that Moka's Yōki was aboard. Switching to his Shinigami form, Ichigo summoned Yorugetsu and strapped it to his waist. To stay hidden from any potential threats, he cast Bakudō #26 Kyokkō. With the blimp in his sights, Ichigo shunpō'ed aboard undetected, silently making his way to the top. He could sense the presence of Yōkai onboard, and as he observed their uniforms, he noted the letters "F.T." emblazoned on them. "Fairy Tale," Ichigo realized.
Unsure of how to proceed, Ichigo decided to contact Yasaka. "Yasaka," he called through the peerage link.
"Yes, Ichigo?" Yasaka responded.
"I found a blimp with Fairy Tale members on it."
"What? How did you find them?"
"A member of Fairy Tale kidnapped Moka."
"I see… knowing you, you're already on the blimp."
"Correct."
"Stay hidden and try to determine where it's headed."
"Understood."
"Please, Ichigo, stay safe."
"I'll try," Ichigo replied before cutting the connection.
Ichigo continued following Moka's Yōki until he reached a door guarded by two men. Rather than confronting Moka immediately, he found a nearby janitor's closet and decided to hide there for now.
"Can one of you wake me if anything happens?" Ichigo asked.
"Of course, Ichigo. Rest up," Yhwach's voice answered mentally as he appeared in front of Ichigo.
"Thanks," Ichigo replied, settling down to sleep.
Scene Change: A few hours later
"Ichigo, wake up," Yhwach's voice roused Ichigo from his rest.
Groggily, Ichigo sat up. "What's going on?"
"They just announced that the ship is about to land."
"Got it. Thanks, Yhwach." After Yhwach returned to his mindscape, Ichigo ensured Kyokkō was still in place before quietly slipping out of the janitor's closet. He spotted Moka being escorted by a short girl with pale skin, red eyes, and jet-black hair styled into two ponytails. She was dressed in a traditional Chinese cheongsam. Ichigo moved quietly behind them, keeping out of sight.
Suddenly, a bolt of lightning struck nearby, briefly revealing Ichigo's position. From the flash, a tall, muscular man with long bright blond hair appeared. He wore the standard Fairy Tale uniform.
"Raika, what are you doing?" the short girl, Akua, asked.
"Shuzen-sama informed the Subdivision leaders that there's a rat on board the Floating Garden," Raika boomed.
"Where?" Akua asked, confused.
"Your secret's out. Show yourself!" Raika called out.
With a sigh, Ichigo stepped forward, revealing himself.
"ICHIGO!" Moka yelled, her voice filled with relief and surprise.
"Kill him!" Akua ordered, dragging Moka farther down the hall.
"I'm Raika, leader of the 5th subdivision. You should feel proud to be defeated by me," Raika declared, his voice dripping with arrogance.
Ichigo drew Yorugetsu and pointed it directly at Raika. "Stand down or die."
Raika scoffed. "You think you can kill me?"
"I don't think," Ichigo replied calmly as he shunpō'ed right next to Raika. "I know." With swift precision, Ichigo stabbed Yorugetsu into Raika's chest and turned it 45 degrees counterclockwise, slashing outward.
"GAH!" Raika groaned in pain.
"Stand down, Raika," Ichigo ordered, wiping the blood off Yorugetsu before sheathing it. As Ichigo turned to move down the hallway, lightning suddenly struck again. Before he could react, Raika transformed into a massive beast.
"I guess I don't need to hold back anymore," Raika roared, his voice reverberating with power. "I'm a Raijū, the incarnation of lightning!"
Ichigo charged forward, but Raika vanished in a flash of light, reappearing behind Ichigo. "I can teleport anywhere electricity flows. No one can catch lightning!"
Ichigo smirked. "Can't catch lightning?" He grabbed Raika's fist as it attempted to strike. "Then what did I just catch?"
Ichigo pulled Raika toward him, using his momentum to unbalance the beast. With a swift punch, Ichigo sent Raika stumbling. Raika tried to teleport away, but Ichigo kept him in place, landing blow after blow with precise strikes. Finally, Ichigo grabbed Raika by the neck and snapped it.
Without a second thought, Ichigo shunpō'ed further down the hallway, ignoring any resistance. Anyone who dared block his path was swiftly dispatched. He soon reached the bottom floor of the Floating Garden, where he found Moka, her face tear-streaked.
"No... Don't come," Moka whispered weakly.
"Moka!" Ichigo called, rushing to her side.
Moka looked up, her eyes filled with panic. "UWAAA!" she screamed as a wave of energy surged around her.
"What's wrong?" Ichigo asked, trying to reach her, only to find his hand stopped by an invisible barrier.
"Run! Run away as far as you can!" Moka cried, her voice desperate.
"Moka, what are you talking about? I'm not leaving you here," Ichigo retorted, his resolve firm. But before he could approach any closer, he sensed someone appeared behind him. He turned to see Akua standing there.
"No, I'm afraid that would be quite troublesome," Akua said, her voice cold. With a flash, she charged toward Ichigo. "No matter who you are, I'll kill anyone who tries to take Moka away from me."
Before she could strike, Ichigo caught her fingers mid-motion with his right hand, halting her in her tracks.
"You think you can stop me?" Ichigo asked coldly, twisting his right hand and breaking Akua's fingers with a sickening snap.
"AHH!" Akua's scream pierced the air, louder than Ichigo had anticipated. The sheer intensity of it startled him for a moment, which Akua seized as an opportunity to free herself from his grip.
She quickly charged toward him, channeling her Yōki to heal her broken fingers. Her hands began to shimmer as she prepared to unleash her Hougetsu Jigen-Tou [Moon Crushing Dimensional Sword] once more. Ichigo could feel the faint ripple of a dimensional gap forming around her fingers.
Acting swiftly, Ichigo launched himself forward with a flying sidekick. Akua, sensing the attack, spun gracefully to evade him. But Ichigo smirked mid-air, hardening the reishi beneath his feet and using it as a platform to twist his momentum. His sidekick transformed into a devastating back hook kick.
Akua didn't see the counter coming until it was too late. The force of Ichigo's kick slammed her into a nearby wall with a resounding crash.
As the dust settled, a small object dropped from the ceiling and landed near Ichigo with a heavy thud. He turned to see what it was—a large egg-like structure.
Before he could react, a pair of blackened hands burst through the eggshell, tearing it apart from the inside. A creature emerged, its ebony skin glistening under the dim light. Ichigo's eyes narrowed as he took in the being's grotesque form.
It had segmented, blade-tipped tails resembling a hybrid of a scorpion's barb and a broad, flat blade. Its sides were lined with massive, clawed talons that scraped menacingly against the floor (3).
The creature slowly turned to face Ichigo and Moka, revealing its elongated, cylindrical skull. The smooth, translucent carapace atop its head gave a chilling view of what lay within.
Ichigo's breath hitched as he saw the unmistakable outline of Tsukune's head inside the carapace. The tubes connecting Tsukune's head to the creature's body pulsed ominously.
The carapace slid open, exposing Tsukune's altered face. His eyes slowly opened, revealing blood-red irises with slit pupils that glowed with an unnatural intensity.
"Hello, Moka. Ichigo," Tsukune said, his voice distorted but unmistakably his.
Moka gasped, her hands flying to her mouth in horror. "What… what happened to you?"
"I did what I had to do to protect you," Tsukune replied, his tone calm but laced with an eerie resolve.
"But… why? Why would you do this? I was safe with Ichigo," Moka said, her voice trembling.
"SAFE!" Tsukune roared, his tail slamming the ground with an earth-shaking crack. "You call yourself safe with that murderer?" His talon pointed accusingly at Ichigo.
Ichigo's expression remained impassive. "And you're better, Tsukune? Look at yourself."
"I sacrificed everything for her! I won't let you take her from me!" Tsukune screamed, the carapace snapping shut as he lunged.
Ichigo drew Yorugetsu in a flash, meeting Tsukune's black talons with a clang. Sparks erupted as their strikes collided, the sheer force pushing Ichigo back. Tsukune lashed out again, his monstrous jaw unhinging to fire a grotesque white projectile. Ichigo dodged, narrowly avoiding the snapping, tooth-like tongue that shredded a metal pipe behind him.
Before Ichigo could react, Tsukune's mouth opened once more, launching a yellow acidic substance. Ichigo leaped back as the floor hissed and melted where the liquid struck.
"Why are you helping them?!" Ichigo demanded, his voice sharp. "They're trying to expose the magical world to humans!"
"I don't care!" Tsukune howled. "All I care about is Moka! They promised—when they're done with her, she's mine!"
A sharp slash interrupted his tirade. One of Tsukune's arms flew clean off, yellow acid spraying violently from the wound. Ichigo turned to see Akua standing nearby, her blade glinting.
"NO ONE BUT ME IS KEEPING MOKA!" Akua roared.
"Traitor!" Tsukune snarled as his regeneration already underway. His severed limb reformed into a grotesque, stinger-tipped humanoid hand. With a crack like a whip, he lashed the limb toward Ichigo, who deftly caught it mid-strike.
"You're not going anywhere," Ichigo growled, swinging Tsukune like a ragdoll into a massive, immobilized beast nearby. Tentacles erupted from the creature, ensnaring Tsukune in an unrelenting grip.
"NO!" Tsukune screamed, thrashing helplessly as the tentacles coiled tighter. Moka fell to her knees, tears spilling freely as Tsukune was dragged into the monstrous entity.
"Tsukune…" Moka choked out, her voice trembling.
Suddenly, the Rosario at her neck shattered with a sharp crack. A brilliant beam of light shot upward, flooding the area.
"Ironic, isn't it?" Akua murmured as the light subsided. "The feelings you all share… your bonds. And yet, it's that very loss that has broken the final seal."
The glow faded to reveal Moka, her hair now a radiant silver, her aura practically crackling with power.
"Good morning, Moka," Akua greeted with a twisted smile. "That overwhelming radiance, that silver hair… it's proof of the true Shinso awakening."
Moka ignored her, walking straight to Ichigo. "Are you all right?" she asked softly.
"I'm fine," Ichigo replied, his eyes steady. "And you?"
"I…" Moka began, her voice faltering.
"Moka!" Akua called sharply, drawing Moka's attention. "Even now… you're still suppressing your power, aren't you? The seal isn't completely broken." Akua's eyes widened as realization struck her. "You're holding back. Why?"
"The seal hasn't fully disappeared," Moka replied firmly. "I can still feel her—her—deep within this Rosario. She protected me from the world. And now, I'll protect her."
The ground trembled as massive tentacles burst through the walls. Akua's gaze hardened. "You fool! You're synchronized with Alucard! Every time you awaken your Shinso powers, so does he!"
Ichigo chuckled darkly, drawing both women's attention.
"What's so funny?" Akua snapped.
"You think you're the strongest one here?" Ichigo smirked, cracking his knuckles. "Trust me—I've faced beings far stronger than you. And I've defeated them."
"He's right," Moka added. "When my father tried to kill Ichigo… I saw it. I saw his past."
Akua froze, staring at Ichigo. A realization dawned on her—the man before her wasn't just some outsider. He was the same boy tied deeply to Moka's fate.
Before Akua could respond, Alucard's tentacles shattered the floor entirely. Ichigo, Moka, and Akua leaped through the chaos, landing outside the Floating Garden as the monstrous tentacles loomed ominously above them.
"Moka, stand back," Ichigo ordered as he stepped forward. "Let me handle this."
Moka slapped him across the face, leaving Ichigo momentarily stunned.
"I am not a defenseless princess!" Moka shouted, fire in her eyes.
Ichigo blinked before chuckling softly. "Very well," he said, smirking. "Let's see this through to the end."
Moka smiled faintly, stepping beside him. "To the end," she agreed, leaning in to kiss him gently on the lips.
Akua staggered back, laughter bubbling out between gasping breaths. Tears streaked her face as she cried out, "I… I do love you, Moka. My beloved little sister… but why? Why him? Why not me?"
"Nee-san…" Moka whispered softly, her expression sorrowful as Akua's broken gaze lingered on her.
"I won't accept this! I will never approve of that man being your marriage partner!" Akua screamed, releasing her Yōki, causing the ground beneath them to fracture. Ichigo and Moka swiftly dodged her attacks.
"Open your eyes, Moka! You mustn't be deceived! I am all you have. I'm the only one... No, I mean, you're the only one I have..." Akua's voice trembled with desperation.
Ichigo paused, understanding the depth of her words. "It's like a lonely child, abandoned by everyone," he thought, remembering his own past.
"Ichigo! What are you waiting for? She's coming!" Moka shouted.
Ichigo snapped back to reality just in time to dodge another strike. He sidestepped and, in a single motion, pulled Akua into a tight hug. Akua froze in shock, her body tense. Moka looked on, confused for a moment.
"It's all right," Ichigo said softly, gently patting Akua's back. He ignored her struggles as he gathered a small amount of reiatsu around them. "You're not alone anymore. Moka was just like you when she was in the human world—alone... until she found a friend who cared about her, who only wanted to be there for her."
"But... who would want to be friends with me?" Akua's voice cracked.
"I would," Ichigo replied firmly. "I accepted Moka when I was fourteen, and I've spent the last five years searching for her."
Before they could continue, Akua shoved Ichigo away, narrowly avoiding a black fist that collided with the ground beside them.
"Nee-san!" Moka cried.
They looked up to see an elegant woman with violet eyes, tan skin, and shoulder-length light blonde hair.
"Gyokuro-san," Moka whispered.
"Perfect timing," Gyokuro said with a cold smile, as the earth around them trembled. "Alucard's movements are becoming more lively... Shall we end this now, Akashiya Moka?" she taunted.
"Enough of this!" Ichigo yelled, his eyes narrowing as more of Alucard's tentacles smashed through the structure.
"The Rosario around your neck wasn't made to seal you or Alucard," Gyokuro said.
"What?" Ichigo and Moka shouted in surprise.
"It wasn't meant to seal you, Moka," Gyokuro explained as she reached for the Rosario around Moka's neck. "With the seal removed, I can now control the entire world."
"Control the entire world?" Moka repeated disbelief in her voice.
"Correct," Gyokuro said, yanking the Rosario off Moka's neck.
"Eh?" Moka gasped, still shocked by Gyokuro's bold move.
Gyokuro's cold smile only widened as she continued, "When Akasha sealed both Alucard and you away, I was curious about your seal. I studied it and uncovered the true purpose of the Rosario. That's when I decided to create my own..."
A hooded figure approached Gyokuro, kneeling and presenting a briefcase to her. "I've created a device to control the secret," she added, her voice filled with satisfaction.
Moka stared, confused. "What are you talking about?"
"Akasha probably thought that if Alucard ever awakened, someone would need to control it," Gyokuro explained, as she inserted the Rosario into the briefcase. "And that's when I created this device. With it, I can control Alucard at will!"
Suddenly, the earth shook violently, and huge, mouth-like tentacles emerged from the ground.
"Now, Alucard is my most faithful servant," Gyokuro declared, as one of the tentacles lunged toward Ichigo.
"ICHIGO!" Moka screamed.
Ichigo instantly drew Yorugetsu, unleashing a nameless Getsuga Tenshō that obliterated the tentacle. "What's your endgame now, now that you've turned Alucard into your puppet?" he challenged, dodging the barrage of incoming tentacles and sending another Getsuga Tenshō to destroy them.
"I'll tell you exactly what my goal is!" Gyokuro smirked. "To destroy everything!" She raised her arms, and more tentacles erupted from the earth, surrounding them.
The clouds parted, revealing the sprawling landscape of Japan.
"What?!" Ichigo thought quickly. "Give me a few seconds!" he shouted to Moka.
"Alright!" Moka nodded, charging toward Gyokuro.
Ichigo took a deep breath, his reiatsu surging. "I need you, Kurogane! Shirogane! Hagane! Rhodonite!" he called.
His shadow stretched out, splitting into four as the Asura Machina appeared. "Shirogane and Hagane, open a dimensional portal big enough for this thing. Kurogane and Rhodonite, get this base into a pocket dimension. Hagane, if you can... do both!"
Shirogane and Hagane summoned their swords, slashing downward to open a vast dimensional rift. Kurogane and Rhodonite manipulated gravity to draw the Floating Garden into the pocket dimension.
As Alucard's tentacles lunged at the Asura Machina, Ichigo fired a large nameless Getsuga Tenshō, destroying the attacking tentacles. But the Floating Garden was still being pushed back toward the dimensional rift.
"Shit I need something strong enough to break through these tentacles without destabilizing the pocket dimension," Ichigo thought.
He remembered a weapon from a movie and, using his Quincy Ring, created six massive rectangular boxes, each with 36 tubes (4) aimed at the Floating Garden. "Fire," Ichigo commanded.
The boxes unleashed a hail of reishi bullets, each as powerful as a Hollow's Cero. The tentacles didn't stand a chance, but the Floating Garden remained immobile. Ichigo continued to fire, replenishing the ammo as needed.
Gyokuro attempted to send her minions—creatures resembling Tsukune's current form—at Ichigo, but he swiftly destroyed them with precise reishi shots.
After a tense few minutes, the Floating Garden was fully absorbed into the pocket dimension.
"Well done, Shirogane and Hagane, but I need you two to continue to maintain the pocket dimension," Ichigo said, nodding to the two Machina. "Kurogane, Rhodonite, keep them safe."
The four Asura Machina disappeared, and Ichigo released his creations. "I'll name you Tod Regen [Death Rain," he muttered before shunpō'ed to Moka's side.
Moka had already grabbed the Rosario from Gyokuro's neck, and, with one swift motion, she broke the medallion. The flower-like appendages retracted, instantly killing Gyokuro.
Ichigo shunpō'ed to Moka, watching as she placed the Rosario back around her neck. Moka's pink hair returned as the transformation was complete.
"You all right?" Ichigo asked, his tone concerned.
"I am. The Rosario seems to have been repaired somehow," Moka replied, her voice tinged with surprise.
"I see," Ichigo said, his expression softening as he pulled her into an embrace.
But the moment was short-lived. They suddenly sensed an overwhelming killing intent directed at them. Ichigo immediately pushed Moka aside, both of them facing a masked figure.
The man wore a mask with five eyes, a round hat, and a long cloak, carrying a walking stick resembling a twisted spinal column with a brain atop it.
"You look happy," the man said with a curious smile. "Didn't expect this, but here we are."
"Who are you?" Ichigo demanded, his stance tense. The man chuckled, releasing an overwhelming wave of Yōki. It washed over them before he removed his mask, revealing a familiar face.
"Miyabi Fujisaki?" Ichigo muttered in recognition.
Miyabi smiled. "That's my name now, but it wasn't always. Long ago, in a distant land, I had another name. A name that instilled terror—Alucard." He placed a cigar in his mouth and lit it leisurely.
"But Alucard was sealed by my mother," Moka protested, her voice quivering.
"True," Miyabi said, puffing out a plume of smoke, "but not the whole truth. Before my main body was sealed, I created a copy of myself. I went by the name Miyabi Fujisaki to avoid suspicion. I formed Fairy Tale to be my hands and feet while I planned my eventual return. I discovered Akasha's Rosario, the key to controlling my true form. I watched, biding my time, until I understood the truth thanks to you, Akashiya Moka." Miyabi began walking towards them, his demeanor cool and collected. "Now, I no longer need any of you. It's time for me to break free from that hideous seal."
"I'm not going to let you kill us!" Ichigo shouted, charging at Miyabi with Yorugetsu raised. Miyabi easily blocked the strike with his cane, flinging Ichigo away with a flick of his wrist.
Just as Miyabi reached for Moka, his right hand was suddenly severed.
"What?" Miyabi's eyes widened in disbelief.
"That's why I told you, Moka, that we should've just awakened and escaped together," Akua's voice rang out.
"Akua-neesan!" Moka exclaimed, her gaze turning to her sister as Akua stepped between them and Miyabi.
"Step aside, Akua," Miyabi commanded coldly. "You know about the 'bomb' inside me—the one known as Akasha. Moka is the fuse, and she must die."
"No," Akua growled. "That's not what we agreed on. Moka's life is spared if the seal is undone. Anyone who tries to harm her will die."
"You've betrayed me, Akua. You're the last of my kin. I have no choice but to dispose of you," Miyabi sneered.
"You're right," Akua replied, her voice cold and determined. "It's time to fight seriously."
The two began to release more Yōki, the air around them heavy with tension. Ichigo recovered, grabbing Moka and pulling her out of the combat zone.
"Worry about the fight, Akua. I've got Moka," Ichigo called.
"Akua-neesan," Moka whispered, her eyes soft with emotion. "She did all of this for me… she was protecting me."
Alucard's taunting voice echoed. "So, all of this for your beloved sister? Have you heard the story of Jasmine, a little girl from China?"
Akua's face darkened with recognition. Alucard continued, ignoring her fury. "Jasmine, a young vampire, had an older sister. They weren't blood sisters, but they loved each other like family. They hid their true identities and lived among humans, poor but happy. But one day, humans discovered Jasmine was a vampire. They tortured her, skewered her, and left her to die."
"Quiet!" Akua screamed, her voice trembling with fury.
Alucard remained unfazed, his voice dripping with mockery."Didn't you swear on your sister's remains that you'd slaughter all humans? That was why I lent you my help."
"SHUT UP! SHUT THE HELL UP!" Akua roared, her rage boiling over.
But Alucard only smirked and pressed on, his words slicing through her like a blade.
"Oh… now that I look closely, Jasmine and Moka do look quite alike. But no matter how much you love Moka, that won't bring Jasmine back, will it? She wouldn't be happy with this, you know?"
That was the final straw. Akua's eyes burned with unbridled hatred as she launched herself at Alucard. In a blur of speed, she tore into him, ripping his body apart with savage precision.
Moka stood frozen, her eyes wide in shock as she witnessed Akua's brutal assault. The violence was relentless, feral, and unlike anything she had seen before.
Ichigo's gaze flickered between Akua and what was left of Alucard, his expression unreadable.
Panting, Akua turned to face the remains of her tormentor. "I thought I told you to shut up, Alucard," she hissed through gritted teeth.
Even in pieces, Alucard's voice echoed mockingly. "You bitch!"
Akua straightened, her tone shifting to something softer, almost wistful. "Don't worry… The past is in the past. I've learned there are things more important than revenge… after meeting you."
The weight of her words hung in the air for a moment, the tension palpable.
But the silence was short-lived.
"Sorry for ruining this touching moment," Ichigo interjected, his voice sharp and commanding, "but we aren't done yet!"
"Oh? So selfish," a voice muttered. Akua turned to see Alucard's body slowly reforming, its wounds knitting together.
"Akua, you're undoubtedly the strongest. No one, not even the Dark Lords, compares to you in raw power. But you lack the wisdom to see that revenge is a path of no return," Alucard taunted.
Ichigo's eyes widened as he realized Alucard's plan. "Moka, look out!" he shouted, rushing to protect her.
But it was too late. Alucard's tentacles pierced through Moka from all directions, skewering her in an instant. Ichigo tried to cut them down, but more tentacles emerged, wrapping around him as well.
"I told you… I'm a fragment of Alucard," the voice echoed. "As long as the true Alucard lives, so will I."
"I won't let you!" Akua roared.
Ichigo exploded with reiatsu, shattering the tentacles. He shunpō'ed to Akua, urgency in his voice. "Akua, can you help Moka?"
Akua glanced at him, her face unreadable. "Let me see."
Ichigo placed his body beside Moka's, offering his blood if needed. "Use it if you need it," he said firmly, turning to face Alucard.
"What are you going to do?" Akua asked.
"Kill this thing," Ichigo answered coldly. "Stride forth to the gates of Heaven, tear them asunder. Charge to Hell and break the chains of the damned. Enter your humanity, and shatter fate... ZANGETSU!" Ichigo summoned his zanpakutō in a flash. "Getsuga Jūjishō!"
The attack was too swift for the berserk Alucard to react, striking him directly in the forehead.
Alucard's voice snarled. "Now, tear him to shreds!"
But the berserk Alucard ignored his commands, turning to face Ichigo. Seizing the opportunity, Ichigo raised his sword again.
"Mugen Getsuga Jūjishō [Infinite Moon Fang Cross-Shaped Piercer]!" Ichigo roared as he unleashed an enormous version of his attack.
Alucard sneered. "Is that all you've got?"
But as Alucard dodged, he didn't see the true intent. The Mugen Getsuga Jūjishō shattered into countless smaller attacks, raining down on the berserk Alucard from above.
Alucard's eyes widened in realization, but it was too late.
"GAH!" Berserk Alucard roared in agony.
"Heh…" The dust began to clear, revealing that Berserk Alucard was still standing.
"ROAR!" he bellowed, blowing the dust away.
"So this is what my original body is like…" Alucard mused, his form merging with his berserk counterpart.
"He's gotten stronger... much stronger," Ichigo thought.
Before Ichigo could react, Alucard swung his tentacles toward him. The ground in front of Ichigo crumbled, but he swiftly dodged the attack. He jumped back and saw Akua giving her blood to Moka, her body showing signs of blood loss.
Ichigo summoned his Tod Regen and fired it at Alucard's body, using the distraction to shunpō toward Akua and Moka.
"Akua, stop! Look at your body!" Ichigo said, his hands pressing against her cold, pale skin. "You're losing too much blood."
Akua glared at him. "I told you, it's not possible! The blood needs to be injected through a vampire's fang."
"What if I grow them?" Ichigo replied, using Ophis' power to transform his canine teeth into vampire fangs.
Before Akua could protest, Ichigo bit into Moka's neck, pumping his blood into her. Suddenly, a pillar of reiatsu and Yōki shot up into the sky. Alucard noticed the surge of energy and raised his tentacles to attack it. But before he could reach it, Moka's claws shredded them apart.
"MOKA!" Akua cried out, witnessing her sister using her Shinto powers fully for the first time. Ichigo smirked, watching his plan unfold.
He grabbed his body and sent it back to his mindscape. "Come on, we need to finish this fight."
"Do you think you can keep up?" Moka asked, her eyes glowing with renewed power.
"Keep up? Of course, I can," Ichigo responded, his reiatsu surging. Moka and Akua watched as black, white, blue, purple, violet, green, and yellow reiatsu swirled around him.
Together, Ichigo and Moka launched a devastating attack, blowing a massive hole through Alucard's chest. Blood and viscera splattered everywhere.
"GAH!" Alucard screamed in pain, but Ichigo wasn't finished. He took a deep breath, gathering all his reiatsu.
"Getsuga Jūjishō!" Ichigo roared, firing a massive wave of energy that obliterated the rest of Alucard's body.
"We did it!" Moka exclaimed, rushing to hug Ichigo. He caught her in his arms.
"Not yet," Ichigo muttered, his eyes narrowing.
"How right you are!" Alucard's voice echoed as his body quickly regenerated.
"God... he's still alive, even after being torn apart," Ichigo thought, frustration growing. The two resumed fighting.
"Should I use Hellfire?" Ichigo wondered, but before he could decide, one of Alucard's tentacles wrapped around him, slamming him into Moka.
"ICHIGO!" Moka cried as she caught him. Ichigo, dazed, glanced at her Rosario. Memories of Alucard's words came rushing back.
"Moka mentioned that the Rosario serves as a limiter for her vampiric strength. Meanwhile, Gyokuro claimed it functions as a control unit for Alucard," Ichigo recalled, his mind racing. "And Alucard himself… he said there's a bomb inside him, and the fuse to set it off is—" Ichigo's eyes widened in realization. "The Rosario!"
Without hesitation, he reached for the broken Rosario still hanging from Moka's collar. Gripping it tightly, he yanked it free, his determination unwavering as the implications of his discovery sank in.
Ichigo grabbed the broken Rosario from Moka's collar and yanked it off.
"Huh?" Moka said, confused.
Ichigo shunpō'ed to the top of Alucard. Surprised, Alucard barely reacted before Ichigo pressed the Rosario against his chest.
"Hope this works," Ichigo muttered.
Alucard's chest began to push outward, and the Rosario started to shift. "What's this? Moka's Rosario?" Alucard thought in disbelief.
Suddenly, his chest began to ripple and push forward unnaturally. "What the...?" Alucard gasped, his voice tinged with confusion.
"GAH!" he roared as a section of his chest erupted outward, forming a strange, hill-like shape.
Realization dawned on his face as he watched the transformation unfold. "I see now! The Rosario wasn't just a bomb or a control unit!" Alucard snarled, his voice rising with both anger and understanding.
Slowly, the protrusion morphed, the 'hill' reshaping itself into the folds of a dress. The top of the dress transformed, taking the shape of a woman.
She emerged fully formed, her knee-length pink hair flowing like silk, framing her striking features. Three pairs of massive, bat-like wings unfurled from her back, their shadows casting an ominous aura. She was clad in a resplendent red Victorian-era dress, her presence commanding and regal.
"The Rosario was a catalyst… to recreate your body, wasn't it? Akasha Bloodriver!" Alucard growled, his voice filled with fury and disbelief.
The woman's emerald-green eyes flickered open, her gaze calm but resolute. "It seems I took too much damage from Ichigo and Moka," Akasha replied, her voice steady yet laced with regret.
"I didn't anticipate losing control over my body to you so easily," Alucard replied.
"Let's end this already, Alucard," Akasha continued. "Ever since that day we lost our home... our journey has gone on long enough."
"I set out seeking vengeance while you searched for peace," Alucard argued.
"No," Akasha replied, shaking her head. "Our paths may have split, but we always wanted the same thing—a utopia for humans and yōkai."
She glanced at Moka, holding Ichigo close. "And now, that dream is being passed on to the next generation."
Alucard was silent, taken aback by her words.
"You're saying our journey ends here...?" he asked softly.
"It's just like that day when we lost everything... but this time, we set off together again. That's all."
Alucard closed his eyes, a sad smile on his face. "Back then, I cursed my body for not allowing me to die. But it was because of you that I chose to keep living."
"All right," he said, at last, resigned. "If you're going, I wouldn't mind accompanying you."
Ichigo floated toward them, his resolve hardening. "Then allow me to do my job. As a Shinigami, it is my duty to guide your souls to rest."
"Mother…" Moka whispered, her voice trembling with emotion.
Akua glanced at her younger sister, a mix of concern and curiosity in her eyes. "Are you two truly okay with this? Don't you need to say goodbye to the 'outer' Moka?"
"Akua-neesan…" Moka began softly.
Akua looked away, her expression conflicted. "Seven years ago, I made a promise to Akasha-san. I swore to destroy the clone and set Moka free. The truth is… the 'outer' Moka you both knew was never truly you. She was a clone of Akasha-san."
Moka's eyes widened, but her voice remained calm. "Thank you, Akua… thank you for honoring such a silly promise all these years. You have no idea the pain it must have caused you…"
Akua turned back to her sister, a faint, bittersweet smile gracing her lips.
"Moka," Ichigo said gently, stepping closer to her.
Moka looked up at him, her expression resolute yet sorrowful. "My memories as the real Moka have returned to me, along with the truth of the Rosario. It's because of them—the experiences, the bonds we've formed—that I can embark on this new journey and leave behind the shadow of the 'outer' Moka."
Ichigo smiled, his gaze warm and unwavering.
"Moka, or Akasha, whatever name you prefer… I spent the last five years searching for you and Elizabeth. When I finally found you, I was overjoyed. But now, seeing you like this... I honestly don't want to see you go." Ichigo's voice trembled, his eyes beginning to water.
"I'm able to leave without regrets," Akasha said softly, turning her head to meet Ichigo's gaze. "Because I know how much I meant to you... and how much you loved me." Tears welled up in her eyes.
Ichigo sealed Zangetsu and floated beside her. Gently, he gave Akasha their final kiss. "Ichigo… thank you. I'm so glad I met you."
"You too," Ichigo replied, placing Zangetsu's hilt against her forehead. He lowered it to see the Kanji 魂葬 [funeral] etched there, glowing blue as she slowly dissolved into reishi. The Rosario slipped from her body, and Ichigo caught it.
Turning to face Alucard, Ichigo spoke, "You realize you'll likely end up in Hell because of your actions."
"I know," Alucard said, his voice calm. "Before I go… I have one final gift for you."
He raised a hand, and one of his tentacles extended toward Moka. The tentacle's mouth opened wide, gagging as it ejected something. Ichigo and Moka stared in shock as Tsukune's body, coated in a strange goo, was regurgitated from the tentacle.
"That's Tsukune's body, stripped of the modifications I gave him. However…" Alucard paused.
"What's wrong with him?" Moka asked, concern lacing her voice.
"His mind… didn't survive the transformation," Alucard explained. "When he was absorbed into my body, his mind connected with all the others trapped inside me. It overwhelmed him, and like the others, his mind shattered."
"Can he do anything?" Ichigo asked.
"Only simple functions. But anything complex like waking is impossible."
"So Tsukune's like an oversized baby now?" Ichigo remarked.
"Essentially, yes."
Ichigo nodded. "I'll discuss this with the others."
With Zangetsu's hilt placed once more on his forehead, Ichigo summoned the Kanji 魂葬, glowing red as the eerie purple gates of Hell appeared. The Kushanāda reached through the gates and grabbed Alucard, pulling him into Hell. As the gates closed, Ichigo summoned a blanket to cover Tsukune's unconscious form.
"Now that that's over… what now?" Moka asked.
"Are there any Yōkai left alive?" Ichigo asked.
"No. All of them were killed." Akua's voice was heavy with the weight of loss.
"Very well," Ichigo said, his tone resolute. "Come forth, Asura Machina!" he called, and his four Asura Machina emerged. "Kurogane and Rhodonite, return," he ordered, and the two nodded, disappearing into Ichigo's mindscape.
"Hagane, can you destroy the Floating Garden and close this pocket dimension?"
Hagane nodded and began gathering energy. "Shirogane, open the pocket dimension," Ichigo commanded. Shirogane summoned its sword and tore open the portal. As the opening stabilized, Shirogane extended its hand, and Ichigo, Akua, and Moka boarded.
Ichigo grabbed the unconscious Tsukune and tossed him over his shoulder. With everyone aboard, Shirogane leaped out of the pocket dimension, carrying them toward the dimensional tunnel Ichigo had entered earlier. Hagane, positioned by the exit, fired a gravity ball at the Floating Garden. The moment it hit, the ball turned into a black hole, devouring the Floating Garden and closing the pocket dimension entirely.
"So, what are you two planning to do now?" Akua asked.
"We're heading back to Yōkai Academy," Ichigo replied.
"I see…" Akua seemed lost in thought.
"Nee-san, what about you?" Moka asked, her gaze soft.
"I… don't know," Akua said, her eyes drifting toward the sky. "With Yasaka-hime's decree against Fairy Tale members, I don't think I can stay here any longer."
"Akua, come with us," Ichigo said.
"What? Why?"
"Whenever a friend or family needs help, I'm there. No question," Ichigo said with a small smirk.
"But… Yasaka-hime's declaration…"
"Not if you're friends with her," Ichigo countered. "Anyway, I think everyone's about to wake up. We should head back to Yōkai Academy."
Ichigo summoned his car keys, and a car appeared. "Get in," he said.
Akua climbed into the car first, followed by Tsukune, whom Ichigo carefully placed in the backseat. Ichigo and Moka sat in the front. With that, Ichigo started the car, and they drove into the dimensional portal.
Scene Change: Yōkai Academy
The early morning air was crisp as Kurumu, Mizore, Ruby, and Yukari stood near the entrance to the academy.
"Where are Moka and Tsukune?" Kurumu asked.
"I don't know. Tsukune's not in his room," Mizore said.
"What about Moka?" Yukari asked.
"I'm not sure. The Headmaster didn't tell me Moka's new room number," Ruby said. Before anyone could respond, the sound of an engine rumbled in the distance. The group turned to see a car driving toward the gate. It slowed and stopped just in front of them.
The doors opened, revealing Ichigo and Moka. Ichigo stepped out and went to the back, where he and Akua carefully carried Tsukune's limp body out of the car.
"TSUKUNE!" the girls cried, rushing toward him.
"Before any questions, we're heading straight to Mikogami's office," Ichigo said, conjuring a wheelchair for Tsukune. "Akua, please take Moka to our room and rest. After that, tell Kahlua to meet us in Mikogami's office."
"Understood," Akua replied. Moka led her away while Ichigo, pushing Tsukune's wheelchair, was followed closely by Ruby, Kurumu, Yukari, and Mizore. Akua and Kahlua soon caught up, and the group made their way to Mikogami's office.
"Hello, everyone," Mikogami greeted.
"Do you have something that can show memories?" Ichigo asked.
"Why?"
"I'm too exhausted to explain everything that happened last night, and I'd rather just show you all," Ichigo replied.
"I do. Give me a moment," Mikogami said, walking over to a nearby cabinet. He pulled out a stone basin, its surface etched with runes and strange symbols. Inside, there was a silvery, cloud-like substance that seemed to float in a gaseous form.
"What is this, Mikogami?" Ichigo asked, eyeing the basin with curiosity.
"This is called a Pensieve," Ruby explained. "It allows someone to extract memories from their mind and place them into the basin. Anyone can then touch the Pensieve to view the memories from a third-person perspective."
"So how do I pull my memories?" Ichigo asked.
"You use your wand," Ruby continued. "Place it near your temple, think about the memory, and as you slowly pull the wand away from your forehead, the memory will begin to emerge as a cloudy, gas-like substance."
"You guys ready for this?" Ichigo asked.
"Yes," Kyōka replied, her voice steady.
"Yay! I get to do something I read about in those magic books you have!" Mysteria chimed in, her excitement clear.
"I'm ready," Ruby said, placing her wand gently on Ichigo's forehead. Ichigo focused on the events of the entire night—the search for Moka, and his return to Yōkai Academy just minutes ago. As Ruby slowly pulled her wand away from his forehead, she wrapped the memories around it, taking care to untangle the long thread. After a few moments, she had gathered all of Ichigo's memories of the night and placed them into the Pensieve.
"Does the Pensieve display memories at an accelerated rate?" Ichigo asked.
"Yes, this Pensieve is designed to show memories at a rate of 10 minutes for every 1 minute in real time," Mikogami explained.
"All right. You guys go ahead with that. Akua and I are going to grab some breakfast," Ichigo said.
"Very well," Mikogami said, and Ichigo and Akua left the room.
Scene Change: 30 Minutes Later
Ichigo returned to Mikogami's office to find the girls huddled around Tsukune, who was still unresponsive. Mikogami and Nurari were drinking, and Kahlua stood nearby, tears streaming down her face.
"That bad?" Ichigo asked, his voice tinged with sympathy. The girls pulled back from Tsukune as they noticed him.
"So, what's going to happen to Tsukune and the other vampire?" Kurumu asked, referring to Akua and Kahlua.
"I'll need to discuss it with Yasaka. I might be able to convince her to have Akua and Kahlua placed under house arrest at my place," Ichigo replied, glancing at the others, who looked at him as though he were insane.
"And Tsukune?" Mizore asked.
"Well, Yasaka may allow him to be under house arrest too, but I'm not sure who could care for him until he recovers."
"If he ever recovers…" Ichigo thought, recalling Alucard's grim words.
"I can do it," Mizore offered.
"So can I!" Kurumu shouted, eager to help. Before the two could begin bickering, Ichigo stepped in.
"Kurumu, do you think your home can really care for Tsukune?" Ichigo asked.
"Sure!" Kurumu replied without hesitation.
"That includes random inspections by police officials," Ichigo pointed out.
"Uh…" Kurumu faltered, remembering her mother's habit of inviting strangers into her bedroom. "No," she admitted.
Ichigo noticed Mizore doing a small, silent happy dance in the corner.
"Not so fast, Mizore," Ichigo said, turning to her. "How old are you right now?"
"Sixteen."
"Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Yuki-onna supposed to marry and start families young?" Ichigo asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Correct," Mizore replied, her expression slightly defensive.
"Knowing how much you care for Tsukune, the moment you're able, you'll probably want to have his child. That's fine for a few months, but when you hit the sixth month of pregnancy, you won't be able to care for Tsukune properly," Ichigo explained.
"I could have the other Yuki-onna help," Mizore suggested.
"Do you trust them with Tsukune?" Ichigo asked.
"No," Mizore admitted with a sigh.
"So what do you propose instead?" Kurumu asked.
"Why don't both of you share him?" Ichigo suggested.
"Share him?" Mizore and Kurumu asked in unison, their surprise evident.
"Exactly. Here's the plan: I could have Tsukune house arrested at Mizore's place. Once she's pregnant, you can move in and help care for him. That way, he'll be looked after by people he can trust, and everyone benefits."
Mizore and Kurumu exchanged a glance, then nodded in agreement.
"We'll do it," they said together.
"Good. I'll talk to Yasaka about it soon," Ichigo confirmed. "Any more questions? If not, I need to speak to Mikogami alone."
The group nodded and left the office, leaving Ichigo alone with Mikogami. Ichigo approached the Pensieve and retrieved his memories.
"You're thinking of transferring Moka out of here," Mikogami observed, breaking the silence.
"Correct," Ichigo replied.
"Very well," Mikogami said. "I'll have the paperwork ready in a few hours. Do you have any idea where she'll go?"
"She'll be heading to Kuoh Town."
Mikogami paused, taking a sip from his drink. "You're aware of who lives there, right?"
"I am. And I'm friends with them."
"I see." Mikogami nodded, his gaze turning toward the window.
"Mikogami, I have a small suggestion if you're serious about continuing your dream," Ichigo said, noticing Mikogami's attention.
"Go ahead," Mikogami replied.
"Why not start an elementary school for Yōkai?" Ichigo suggested. "Teach them how to blend in with humans when they're young. As they grow older, you can introduce a human or two into their classes. If any of the Yōkai have a human friend, even better."
Ichigo walked out of Mikogami's office, and Nurari stepped in, cigar lit.
"I don't need to hear it," Mikogami muttered.
"But you do," Nurari replied, blowing out a puff of smoke.
"What do you want?" Mikogami asked, clearly unimpressed.
"Besides rubbing it in your face," Nurari grinned, "Ichigo's idea has potential."
"It does," Mikogami said, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "I'll start designing it."
With that, Nurari left Mikogami's office.
Scene Change: Ichigo's Room
Ichigo shunpō'ed to his room, only to find Elizabeth crying in Moka's arms.
"Hello, Elizabeth," Ichigo greeted softly.
"TOU-SAN!" Elizabeth yelled, rushing toward him and tackling him into a hug. Ichigo dropped to his knees, catching his daughter in an embrace.
"There, there," Ichigo said, comforting her as the tears stopped.
"Elizabeth, I need you to go to your room and get changed," Ichigo said gently.
"Why, Tou-san?" she sniffled.
"I'm taking you to meet a friend's daughter," Ichigo replied with a smile.
"Really?" Elizabeth's eyes lit up.
"Really," Ichigo confirmed.
"Yay!" Elizabeth shouted as she ran off to her room.
Ichigo turned to Moka. "We're moving out of here tonight."
"The Headmaster is letting me transfer schools?" Moka asked, wide-eyed.
"He is," Ichigo confirmed.
"What about us?" Kahlua and Akua asked in unison.
"You can both come with us," Ichigo said with a grin. Suddenly, he was tackled by three girls.
"THANK YOU!" they cheered, hugging him.
"Ladies, please get off," Ichigo said, laughing. Once they all stood back, he turned to Moka. "Moka, you need to tell Kokoa and see if she wants to come along."
"You'll let her come?" Moka asked, surprised.
"Of course. She's family now," Ichigo replied. Before Moka and Kahlua could tackle him again, Elizabeth came running out.
"READY, TOU-SAN!" Elizabeth shouted, wearing a black lace dress with long sleeves, the hem reaching just above her knees. Ichigo spent the next few minutes snapping photos of her. Everyone took an individual photo with Elizabeth, capturing the moment.
"Akua, Kahlua, can you help pack everything up? Moka, go to class for the last time," Ichigo instructed.
"Okay, Ichigo," Moka agreed, leaving the room after stealing a quick bite from Ichigo. Ichigo then took Elizabeth downstairs, summoned his car, and the two drove to Yasaka's house.
Scene Change: Yasaka's Home
Ichigo and Elizabeth arrived at an abandoned alleyway after emerging from a Garganta. They exited the car, and Ichigo sent it back to his mindscape. As they walked toward Yasaka's home, various guards and maids greeted them.
When they reached Yasaka's office, Ichigo was about to knock when the door swung open, and something hit his leg.
"Aaugh!" Ichigo looked down to see Kunou sprawled on the floor after running into him.
"Hello, Kunou," Ichigo said, smiling.
"PAPA!" Kunou squealed, running into his arms.
"Hello, Ichigo," Yasaka said warmly from inside the office.
"Tou-san, who is this?" Elizabeth asked, her eyes wide with curiosity.
"Papa, who is this?" Kunou echoed, equally curious.
"Kunou, this is my blood daughter, Elizabeth. Elizabeth, this is my unofficial daughter, Kunou." The two girls stared at each other, sizing each other up. Ichigo sighed and gently karate-chopped them both on the head.
"HEY!" they both cried out in unison, glaring at him.
"Girls, behave," Ichigo said firmly. "If you two are good, we'll go out for ice cream later." Ichigo could see their eyes sparkle with excitement.
"OKAY!" they both shouted in agreement.
"Kunou, why don't you take Elizabeth to your room?" Ichigo suggested. Kunou grabbed Elizabeth's hand, and the two ran off toward Kunou's room.
"Kyōka, could you please..." Ichigo mentally asked.
"Very well," Kyōka replied, appearing and tagging along behind the girls.
"Besides giving Kunou a friend to play with, what brings you here?" Yasaka asked, her tone turning serious.
"I need to update you on the Fairy Tale situation," Ichigo said.
"Very well," Yasaka said, motioning for him to sit. They both settled into her office, and Ichigo continued.
"Do you happen to have a Pensieve?" Ichigo asked.
"I do," Yasaka replied, pulling out a golden Pensieve. Ichigo summoned his staff with a wave of his hand.
"Impressive," Yasaka commented, eyeing the staff.
Ichigo shrank it down to about a foot long and placed it against his forehead. As he concentrated on the events of the past night—from discovering Moka's disappearance to his return to Yōkai Academy—he slowly pulled the staff away from his forehead. The memories floated out in a shimmering cloud, which he deposited into the Pensieve. Yasaka dove in without hesitation. Ichigo pulled out a book, settling in to wait.
Scene Change: 30 Minutes Later
Ichigo noticed Yasaka's head emerging from the Pensieve.
"I saw your suggestion for those three," Yasaka said, looking at Ichigo with a thoughtful expression.
"And what do you think?" Ichigo asked, curious.
"For Tsukune, that would honestly be the best thing for someone who's essentially brain-dead, especially since it seems like they genuinely want to take care of him," Ichigo said, nodding in agreement.
"What about Akua and Kahlua?" Yasaka asked.
"Well… if we were to house arrest them, where would they live?" Ichigo replied.
"Akua and Kahlua could move in with my family in Kuoh Town," Yasaka suggested.
"Possible," Ichigo acknowledged. "But would they want to?"
"I feel Kahlua would be open to it, especially since she doesn't have to kill anymore," Ichigo mused.
"What about Akua?" Yasaka asked.
"I believe she'll be fine since Moka will be there as well," Ichigo responded.
"I see." Suddenly, a sealed scroll appeared on Yasaka's table. She picked it up and unraveled it, pressing the seal to reveal a folder that popped out. Yasaka opened the folder, her expression darkening.
"Damn it," she muttered.
"What happened?" Ichigo asked, concerned.
"According to this report, there are sightings of vampires in the southern parts of Japan," Yasaka explained.
"Why not have Akua investigate? They may be connected to Fairy Tale," Ichigo suggested.
"Good idea," Yasaka agreed. "Can you bring all five of them here?"
"Sure." Ichigo opened a Garganta and jumped in. A few minutes later, he stepped into Yasaka's office with Akua, Kahlua, Kurumu, Mizore, and Tsukune.
"Good day, everyone. You all know why you're here?" Ichigo asked. Everyone nodded in response. "May I speak to Akua and Kahlua first?"
Kurumu and Mizore nodded, pushing Tsukune out of the office. Yasaka quietly muttered something under her breath, and instantly, the windows and doors slammed shut, a series of seals rolling down and sealing them.
"They're sealed to prevent anyone from overhearing or attempting to enter while we discuss this," Yasaka explained.
Akua and Kahlua nodded, understanding. Yasaka turned to them.
"Ichigo proposed that both of you be house-arrested at his home in Kuoh Town," Yasaka said.
"What will we be allowed to do there?" Kahlua asked, curious.
"Well… it depends on what you want to do," Ichigo replied.
"I… just don't want to kill anymore," Kahlua said quietly.
"Of course. I'll never ask you to kill anyone, Kahlua. The only time I would ask you to fight is if it's a last resort to protect those under your care," Ichigo assured her.
"I think that's fine," Kahlua replied.
"I'll discuss it with my Kaa-san and see what we can find for you to do," Ichigo said. "What about you, Akua?"
"I'm not sure. I know I'm best at killing," Akua admitted, her voice tinged with uncertainty.
"Just like Kahlua, I don't want you to kill anyone… unless they attack you," Ichigo said firmly.
"…Okay," Akua said reluctantly.
"We'll have more time to figure out what you want to do, but for now, I need to know if you accept the house arrest deal," Ichigo said.
"Very well. I accept the deal," Akua agreed.
"Excellent." Yasaka pulled out two sheets of paper and slid them toward the sisters. "Now, I need both of you to read and sign these agreements."
"What's a peerage?" Akua asked, raising an eyebrow.
"A peerage is essentially our family," Ichigo explained, summoning a briefcase and opening it to reveal a set of Chaos Pieces. "Each member of the peerage is given one of these pieces." Ichigo picked up a rook piece. "This rook enhances physical attack and defense," he explained, placing it on the table. He then picked up a bishop piece. "This bishop enhances magical abilities." He placed it next to the rook and picked up a knight piece. "The knight enhances speed and mobility." He placed the knight alongside the others. Finally, Ichigo picked up a pawn. "A pawn is like a normal chess pawn. In enemy territory, a pawn can promote to a queen, rook, knight, or bishop, but only if the King allows it."
"That's you, isn't it?" Akua asked, smirking.
"It is," Ichigo confirmed.
"What about the Queen?" Kahlua asked, intrigued.
"The Queen allows the user to access all the abilities of the rook, knight, and bishop at once," Ichigo explained.
"So, we have the option of rook, knight, bishop, or pawn?" Akua asked.
"Correct. After seeing your fighting styles, I believe I know which piece would benefit you two the most." Ichigo put the rook, knight, and bishop pieces away and pulled out another pawn.
"Pawns? Is that a joke?" Akua asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No. I believe you two would benefit most from the pawn pieces," Ichigo said calmly.
"Akua-neesan, please let Ichigo explain," Kahlua urged.
"Fine," Akua muttered, crossing her arms.
"Thank you, Kahlua," Ichigo said. "The reason I think the pawn piece would suit you both is because of its versatility. Akua, you have many different fighting styles and techniques—close combat, swift strikes, and magical capabilities. The pawn piece will give you the flexibility to adapt to various situations."
"How would you know where I am if you're away?" Akua asked skeptically.
"I forgot to explain the peerage link," Ichigo said, smiling slightly.
"Peerage link?" Akua and Kahlua asked in unison.
"The peerage link is a mental connection between everyone in the peerage," Ichigo explained. "It's like being right next door to each other. You can block the connection if you need privacy, but if you need something from me or another peerage member, you can call out to them, and they'll be able to communicate with you. As the King, I can enter your mind if necessary, but only in an emergency."
"I see…" Akua murmured.
"What about me?" Kahlua asked, her curiosity piqued.
"Honestly… I've never seen your full potential, but based on our fight and what I know about vampires, all of you have superhuman strength, agility, and magical abilities," Ichigo explained.
"Okay then," Akua responded.
"Do you accept?" Yasaka asked, looking between the two vampires. Both Akua and Kahlua glanced at Ichigo before nodding in agreement.
"I accept," Akua said, followed by Kahlua.
Yasaka handed them an exotic-looking red pen.
"Be careful. That's a Blood Pen. It writes with your blood," Yasaka warned. The girls signed the contract, and Ichigo pressed the two pawn pieces into their palms. The girls briefly glowed, their forms shimmering with the transfer.
"How do you two feel?" Ichigo asked through the peerage link.
"I feel normal," Kahlua replied.
"Nothing feels off," Akua confirmed.
"Are you sure?" Ichigo pressed. The girls' eyes widened.
"You're speaking mentally," Akua said, her voice filled with realization.
"He's not the only one," Yasaka added, speaking through the peerage link as well.
"You're part of the peerage?" Akua asked, surprised.
"I am," Yasaka replied. "Now, Akua… I have an assignment for you if you're willing to take it." Yasaka placed a folder in front of Akua. Akua opened it, reading the contents carefully. Yasaka gave her a few moments to finish.
"You want me to investigate this?" Akua asked, looking up.
"Correct," Yasaka affirmed.
"This could be the work of a Research and Development unit of Fairy Tale," Akua noted.
"I want you to investigate, neutralize all the vampires and ghouls there, and if possible, obtain their research. Once that's done, destroy the entire facility," Yasaka instructed.
"Very well," Akua replied, nodding as she took the folder.
"With that settled, I think we should take care of the other three and head home," Ichigo suggested. Yasaka unsealed the room.
"Remember, do not speak of what happened in here until I give you permission," Yasaka said firmly. Akua and Kahlua nodded and exited the office, with Tsukune being pushed in by Mizore and Kurumu. The room was sealed again by Yasaka.
"Ichigo told me he proposed this punishment for Tsukune to both of you. Is that true?" Yasaka asked. Mizore and Kurumu nodded in agreement.
"Very well. I will authorize it. However, Tsukune will have to wear a special tracking headband." Yasaka pulled out a small box and opened it, revealing a simple golden headband with a red gem at its center.
"What does the band do?" Kurumu asked, her curiosity piqued.
"This band will track Tsukune's exact location anywhere in Japan, including pocket dimensions or areas protected by barriers, such as the Yuki-onna village you'll be stationed at," Yasaka explained. She then handed them a sheet of paper and a golden journal with a red border. "These are the rules you three must follow."
Mizore and Kurumu read through the contract carefully. The document essentially stated that they were to assume complete guardianship of Aono Tsukune. Tsukune could not leave the Yuki-onna village without Yasaka's approval, and a report had to be written and submitted every evening. If either Mizore or Kurumu failed to submit the report, Yasaka had to be notified immediately. Any violation of the rules would lead to detention and trial for all three.
"What if Tsukune's family wants to see him?" Mizore asked, a concerned look on her face.
Yasaka sighed heavily, rubbing the bridge of her nose.
"Unfortunately, Tsukune's family won't be allowed to know what happened to him," she explained.
"WHY?!" Mizore and Kurumu exclaimed, remembering Tsukune's parents and his cousin from earlier.
"Because, how do we explain this to his family?" Yasaka said, her voice tinged with frustration. "Oh, sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Aono, your son went to a school full of magical creatures and somehow ended up brain-dead after doing something foolish." Yasaka shook her head, imagining the conversation.
"What about his cousin? She accidentally stumbled onto the school," Kurumu added.
"Now that… that's going to complicate things," Yasaka muttered, rubbing her nose again. "The only solution I can see is to have a doppelganger who looks like Tsukune. While the real Tsukune is 'coming home,' the doppelganger gets fatally injured in a hit-and-run accident."
Mizore and Kurumu were stunned by Yasaka's suggestion.
"Is… is there any other way?" Mizore asked hesitantly.
"No," Yasaka replied, her tone firm.
The girls looked down, feeling guilty about what would happen to Tsukune's family. With a heavy sigh, they signed the contract using the Blood Pen.
Once everything was finalized, Yasaka took the headband and approached Tsukune. She carefully slipped the band onto his head, watching as it shrank to fit securely around his forehead.
"Do you need anything else, Yasaka-hime?" Mizore asked, looking back.
"I don't need anything else from you two right now," Yasaka replied, as she unsealed the room. Kurumu grabbed the journal from Yasaka's desk, and Mizore wheeled Tsukune out of the office.
"See you later," Ichigo said, leaning in to kiss Yasaka. After the kiss, Ichigo began to walk away, but Yasaka grabbed his shirt, pulling him back.
"Not yet, Mister," she said, pulling Ichigo back into the room. "Now that you've found Moka, you owe me something."
"Uh… what do you need?" Ichigo asked, remembering that Yasaka had asked him to investigate an upcoming contest.
"I want you to take me out on a date," Yasaka said with a smile.
"Uh… sure," Ichigo replied, raising an eyebrow.
"Great!" Yasaka grinned as she released him. "Don't make me wait too long."
Ichigo nodded and walked out of the office, realizing he needed to spend some time with the other girls in his peerage. He decided that when he had the chance, he'd plan dates with each of them.
When Ichigo reached his car, he found Elizabeth, Kahlua, Mizore, and Kurumu waiting for him. He unlocked the car, and Mizore and Kurumu gently placed Tsukune inside. Mizore collapsed the wheelchair and placed it in the trunk. Kahlua and Ichigo sat in front, and with everything settled, Ichigo opened a Garganta and drove in.
Scene Change: Yōkai Academy
Ichigo arrived outside Yōkai Academy, parking right at the gate. Everyone climbed out of the car, and Mizore moved to open Tsukune's wheelchair. Kurumu gently lifted Tsukune from the car and settled him into the chair. Once everyone was out, Ichigo sent the car back to his mindscape.
"Kahlua, can you take Elizabeth back to the room and see if anything else needs packing?" Ichigo asked.
"Sure," Kahlua replied. She took Elizabeth's hand, and the two walked toward the staff dormitories. Ichigo overheard Kahlua asking Elizabeth about her day.
Using his reiatsu senses, Ichigo located Moka inside Yōkai Academy. He followed the trail to her math class and then knocked on the door. After a brief wait, the door opened, revealing a woman with light-colored hair and circular glasses. She wore a white v-neck shirt with a wide collar that revealed a bit of cleavage and a dark skirt.
"Ah, Kurosaki-san. Are you here for Akashiya-san?" she asked.
"I am," Ichigo replied.
"Very well, Akashiya-san. Come over here," the teacher said. Ichigo could tell from the teacher's tone that there was some tension between her and Moka. Moka stepped forward, walking over to Ichigo.
"Hello, Ichigo. Do you need me?" she asked.
"I'm here to make sure you've said your goodbyes to everyone," Ichigo said.
"I have," Moka confirmed.
"Good. Let's go pick up your transfer paperwork from Mikogami," Ichigo said.
Moka nodded, and the two walked out of the classroom. They arrived at Mikogami's office, and Ichigo knocked on the door.
"Come in, Ichigo-sama," Mikogami called.
Ichigo and Moka entered to find a brown folder sitting on the table.
"Is that Moka's academic record?" Ichigo asked.
"It is," Mikogami confirmed. Moka walked over and took the folder. "Is there anything else you two need?"
"Not really," Ichigo said.
"Very well," Mikogami nodded, returning to his paperwork. Ichigo and Moka took this as a sign to leave, and the doors closed behind them.
"Let's grab our things and leave," Ichigo suggested.
"Sure," Moka agreed. The two hurried back to their room. When they arrived, they found Kahlua and Elizabeth playing with dolls, surrounded by sealed cardboard boxes.
"Hello, girls," Ichigo greeted.
"Hello, Ichigo," Kahlua replied.
"Hello, Tou-san," Elizabeth said cheerfully.
"Where's Akua?" Moka asked.
"She's investigating something for Yasaka," Kahlua answered.
"I see."
"Let's bring these boxes downstairs," Ichigo suggested. Everyone helped carry the boxes down, and Ichigo summoned his car. They began loading the boxes into the car. Using his dimensional pocket feature, Ichigo stored everything inside. Once they finished packing, they turned to see a group of people yelling out to them.
"HEY!" the group called. Ichigo and Moka turned to see the newspaper club approaching.
"Guys..." Moka said with a sigh.
"Did you really think you could leave without us saying goodbye?" Yukari asked with a mischievous grin.
"Some of us need to thank you for all your help, Ichigo-sensei~ 3!" Kurumu chimed in, flashing a playful wink. The newspaper club took a few minutes to express their gratitude and say their final words to Moka.
Ichigo then noticed something running toward them—a figure he recognized as Kokoa.
"Hello, Kokoa," Moka said warmly.
"Is it true, Nee-san? Are you leaving Yōkai Academy?" Kokoa asked, her voice trembling.
"It's true," Moka confirmed.
Kokoa's eyes began to well up with tears. "Well... I'm going to miss you, Nee-san," she said, her voice shaky.
"Me too," Moka replied, pulling Kokoa into a tight hug. "Are you sure you don't want to join me?"
"I'm sure. I need to find my own way," Kokoa replied, her voice steadying as she pulled away.
Moka smiled, touched by Kokoa's words. "Looks like you're starting to grow up a little."
With that, Ichigo, Moka, Kahlua, and Elizabeth got into the car. Ichigo put the car in drive, opened a Garganta, and drove through it, leaving Yōkai Academy behind.
