Scene Change: Kuoh Town: Home

Ichigo drove out of the Garganta and arrived outside his house in Kuoh Town. Everyone got out of the car and began unloading their luggage. Ichigo walked inside and opened the door to find Masaki sitting on the couch, watching TV.

"Ichigo!" Masaki said, standing up with a bright smile.

"Hello, Kaa-san," Ichigo replied, walking over to hug her. Meanwhile, Moka and the others started carrying their luggage inside.

"So, Ichigo... who are your friends?" Masaki asked, her curiosity piqued.

"Everyone, this is my mother, Masaki. Masaki, this is my girlfriend, Moka, her sister Kahlua, and our daughter, Elizabeth," Ichigo introduced. Masaki nodded but paused as she processed the last part of Ichigo's words.

"Wait... DAUGHTER?" she exclaimed, her eyes widening.

"Hi... Obāsan [Grandmother," Elizabeth said shyly, offering a small wave. Masaki looked at her carefully, her gaze moving from Elizabeth to Moka, then to Ichigo. She could see the familiar features of both Ichigo and Moka in Elizabeth's face.

"Hello, my kawaii magomusume [granddaughter]!" Masaki said, her face lighting up as she rushed over to scoop Elizabeth into a hug. To everyone's surprise, Elizabeth hugged her back. The two held each other for a few moments before letting go.

Masaki turned to Ichigo, still smiling. "So, besides introducing me to my granddaughter and your friends, what brings you here?"

"All three of them are moving in with us," Ichigo explained.

"I see..." Masaki nodded thoughtfully.

"Moka and Elizabeth are going to school with Yuzu and Karin," Ichigo added.

"What about Kahlua?" Masaki asked.

Ichigo hesitated for a moment before responding. "Before I answer that, can I ask you a question?"

"Sure," Masaki replied.

"While I was gone, what have you been up to these past few days?"

"Well... I just returned from visiting the Gremory estate. During that time, I decided to open another small health clinic," Masaki said casually.

"Don't you need a medical license for that?" Ichigo asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I do," Masaki confirmed. "I spoke with Sirzechs, and we came up with a plan for me to assume a new identity. I'll be known as Kurosaki Misaki, Kurosaki Masaki's long-lost younger sister."

"Wouldn't people question your existence?" Ichigo asked, looking concerned.

"If anyone asks, I'll just remind them that Kurosaki Masaki was adopted by the Ishida family," Masaki replied confidently.

"But what about the paperwork?" Ichigo pressed.

"While I was in the underworld, Sirzechs helped me acquire all the necessary paperwork to set up the clinic. It'll be similar to the one I had in Karakura Town," Masaki explained.

"I see. That's great. Kahlua could be your assistant nurse," Ichigo suggested.

"Oooh! I wanna do that!" Kahlua said eagerly, her excitement clear.

"Are all of them part of the peerage?" Masaki asked, looking curious.

"I am," Kahlua said, stepping forward.

"Peerage?" Moka asked, looking confused. Ichigo summoned a briefcase and quickly explained the concept of the peerage to Moka and Elizabeth.

"So basically, the peerage is a spiritual connection between you and the rest of the members," Ichigo explained.

"That also gives you a slight boost in your abilities," he added.

"So what piece will I be?" Moka asked, curious.

"Just like your sisters, you'll be a Pawn," Ichigo replied.

"Why? Wouldn't a Rook be a better fit for me?" Moka asked, a little surprised.

"At first glance, a Rook might seem more fitting. But because your magical abilities are still untrained, I believe a Pawn piece will be more beneficial for you," Ichigo explained.

"What about Elizabeth? Will she join the peerage?" Moka asked, turning to Ichigo.

"When she's older," Ichigo said gently.

"Aww..." Elizabeth whined, crossing her arms. "I wanna join too."

"Elizabeth, you'll be allowed to join when you're older," Ichigo reassured her.

"But... But..." Elizabeth pouted.

"No buts," Ichigo said firmly, but with a smile.

"Fine," Elizabeth said, crossing her arms and looking away. Ichigo chuckled softly, then pulled out a pawn piece. He placed it over Moka's chest and gently pushed it in. The piece vanished into her.

"How do you feel?" Ichigo asked.

"I feel fine," Moka said, blinking in confusion.

"Are you sure?" Ichigo pressed.

"I am," Moka replied.

"Kaa-san, why are you talking to yourself?" Elizabeth asked, looking puzzled.

"What do you mean? Ichigo just asked me how I feel," Moka replied, looking at her daughter with a raised eyebrow.

"But he didn't open his mouth," Elizabeth pointed out.

Moka turned to Ichigo. "I'm speaking through the peerage connection," Ichigo explained.

"Interesting," Moka said, clearly intrigued.

"It is," Masaki agreed, joining the mental conversation.

"You're in the peerage?" she asked.

"You're not the only one," Kahlua said with a smirk.

"You two?" Moka asked, her surprise evident.

"Although I'm not there physically, I am part of the peerage," Akua said.

"Akua-neesan?" Moka replied in shock.

"Yes, Moka dear?" Akua's voice responded.

"Where are you?" Moka asked, her eyes wide.

"I'm in southern Japan, investigating something for Yasaka-hime," Akua explained.

"Why?" Moka asked, still trying to process everything.

"It's something I did to avoid getting into trouble with Yasaka-hime," Akua replied, her tone light.

"I get to be Masaki's assistant while I live here!" Kahlua added excitedly, eager for the new arrangement.

"I see…" Moka said thoughtfully.

"Anyways, Kaa-san, how is the development of your clinic?" Ichigo asked.

"Not so good," Masaki replied with a sigh.

"How come?" Ichigo asked, curious.

"Every time I think about the design, I keep comparing it to the one in Karakura Town," Masaki admitted.

"… Why don't you make it similar to the one in Karakura Town?" Ichigo suggested.

"I just… don't want to be reminded of the past," Masaki said quietly, her tone heavy with emotion.

"I see…" Ichigo muttered, understanding her reluctance. "What about this?" He pulled out a sheet of paper and began to sketch a rough design.

"But Ichigo, your design would be too big for the house," Masaki pointed out.

"No problem, I can ask Sirzechs to add another floor to the house. That way, we can dedicate the first floor to the clinic, while the second, third, and fourth floors will be where we all live," Ichigo explained confidently.

"Fine," Masaki said after a pause. "What about the medical equipment?"

Moka, sensing that this discussion would take a while, interrupted. I think it's time for a break...

"Ichigo, we're going to explore the town," Moka said with a smile.

"Ok, Moka. Make sure all of you stay safe," Ichigo replied, still focused on the design discussion.

As the conversation about the new Kurosaki Clinic continued, Ichigo and Masaki eventually reached a compromise. Ichigo pulled out his phone and dialed Sirzechs's number.

"Hello, Ichigo," Sirzechs's voice came through the phone.

"Hey, Sirzechs. I was wondering if I could hire some devils to rebuild our home," Ichigo asked.

"Sure. Do you have any idea about the final results?" Sirzechs asked.

"I have a sketch of the final product," Ichigo replied, holding up his design.

"Good. Can you send me that photo?" Sirzechs asked.

"Sure," Ichigo said, taking a photo of the sketch and sending it over. "Did you get it?"

"I did. I'll have some devils start working on it tonight," Sirzechs replied.

"Tonight? Do we need to move somewhere else?" Ichigo asked, concerned.

"No need. After looking at the final design, I'll just need to construct the new floor level and add a set of stairs to connect all the levels," Sirzechs explained.

"I see. How much will that cost?" Ichigo asked.

"Nothing," Sirzechs said nonchalantly.

"Sirzechs, I want to pay you for this," Ichigo insisted.

"Ichigo, my mother already agreed to pay for it," Sirzechs said, his voice calm.

"Very well, you win," Ichigo said with a resigned sigh.

"Any other improvements you want us to make?" Sirzechs asked.

"I'll get back to you on that," Ichigo said, making a mental note.

"All right. Oh, by the way, when you're free, could you come over here?" Sirzechs asked.

"Why?" Ichigo asked, confused.

"Odin has asked me to remind you that Loki's sentence to Hell is almost up," Sirzechs said, a hint of amusement in his voice.

"Shit, I forgot about him. I'll take care of him tomorrow," Ichigo said, frustrated.

"Okay. See you tomorrow, Ichigo," Sirzechs said before hanging up.

Ichigo walked over to Masaki, who was reading a nursing magazine and updated her on the situation. Masaki stood up and hugged Ichigo tightly, kissing both of his cheeks.

The front door opened, but Masaki didn't seem to notice. Ichigo looked over and saw Yuzu and Karin entering.

"Ichi-nii!" the girls cried out as they ran over to join the hug. Ichigo suddenly remembered that he still needed to plan out dates for the girls.

"Ladies," Ichigo said, gently breaking the hug. "I need some alone time to plan something."

The girls looked puzzled but didn't question him as Ichigo walked to his room, closed the door, and locked it. He spent the next hour planning a special day-long date for each of the girls in the peerage who were available at the moment.

Scene Change/Time Skip

Yuzu and Karin went to their respective rooms to do their homework. Masaki decided to prepare dinner in the meantime. Eventually, Moka, Elizabeth, and Kahlua returned from their exploration of Kuoh Town.

"Welcome back! How was your short trip?" Masaki asked with a smile.

"It was good," Moka replied.

"We had fun at the park, didn't we?" Kahlua said, clearly in a good mood.

"We did. We did," Elizabeth chimed in.

The three of them went to take a bath. "I need to ask Ichigo if he can modify the shower system for us," Moka thought as she prepared the bath for everyone.

After the bath, they all heard Masaki calling from downstairs.

"Everyone, dinner!" Masaki called.

Slowly, everyone made their way down to the dinner table, including Ichigo. They all sat down and began eating, sharing light conversation, but saving the bigger topics for after the meal. Once dinner was finished and the dishes cleaned and set out to dry, everyone gathered in the living room with a pot of tea ready.

"Good evening, everyone," Ichigo began. "I want to start this family meeting by letting you know that tonight, we'll have some devils constructing the new Kurosaki Clinic on the first floor and adding another floor above for more guest space in the future."

"Wouldn't we need to leave for the time being?" Yuzu asked, concerned.

"Normally we would, but Sirzechs said we don't need to," Ichigo replied, reassuring her.

"Okay," Yuzu said, nodding.

"Now then, does anyone need any other additions to the house?" Ichigo asked.

"Maybe an underground training area, similar to the one at Urahara Shōten?" Karin suggested.

"Okay, I'll send the request to Sirzechs," Ichigo said, jotting it down.

"Anything else?" he asked.

"Can you set up another shower system for us vampires?" Moka asked.

"Shit. I forgot about your special shower system," Ichigo muttered, scribbling another note.

"Language!" Masaki remarked with a light chuckle.

"Anything else?" Ichigo asked.

"A bigger kitchen?" Yuzu suggested.

"Sure. Anything else?" Ichigo asked. No one replied. "All right, this first matter is done. The next topic of discussion is an apology to all of you." Ichigo stood up, making sure to face everyone present. "I want to apologize to all of you. The reason I'm apologizing is because I spent so much time focused on finding Moka and Elizabeth."

Ichigo raised his hand, halting the girls before they could comment. "To make it right, I've spent the last hour planning a date for each of you."

"WHAT?!" the girls shouted in shock.

"Tomorrow, it'll be a date with both Yuzu and Karin. The next day will be with Masaki. After Masaki, it'll be Yasaka. If Eu and Ophis come back—"

Suddenly, a rainbow-colored portal opened up, and Ophis, Eu, a girl with green hair, and a man with long silver hair fell out.

"EU! OPHIS!" Yuzu cried as she and Karin jumped up and ran over to their peerage members.

"Are you all right?" Karin asked, her hands glowing with healing energy as she began to use her powers.

"Yes," Ophis replied, as she and Eu got to their feet.

"What happened?" Yuzu asked, concerned. Before Eu or Ophis could reply, Ichigo intervened.

"Let them tell their story later. For now, let them recover and get the medical attention they need." Masaki walked over and helped carry the strangers to two unoccupied couches. There, Masaki and Yuzu began diagnosing the two patients.

"Back to what I was saying earlier…" Ichigo continued his focus back on the meeting. "After Eu and Ophis's date, Moka will be up next."

"Wait, Ichi-nii," Yuzu interrupted. "How come tomorrow you're taking both of us on a date while everyone else is going individually?" Karin asked, raising an eyebrow.

"The reason is simple," Ichigo replied. "There are certain events I know both of you are interested in attending."

"What event?" Yuzu asked, her curiosity piqued.

"You'll find out when it's your turn," Ichigo replied with a grin.

The girls glared at him, but Ichigo ignored their looks.

"Now then, the last topic for the night…" Ichigo began, "let's share what we've been doing for the last couple of weeks. Eu, would you like to start?"

"Very well," Eu replied. Ichigo sat down as Eu stood up to speak.

"My story starts right after I left you all. I went to see a friend in the Underworld." Eu's voice was calm and steady.

Flashback: Right after what happened in Chapter 17

Eu teleported to a rural village in the Underworld. Despite many devils building modern structures, a small portion of the population still preferred the traditional style of buildings from before the Civil War. Eu wore a black cloak with a hood over her head, and many people ignored her as she walked towards a building. The sound of metal clanging against metal filled the air. Eu followed the noise and arrived at the source. She looked up to see a sign above the door. It read: The Abyss Maker. She rolled her eyes at the name before pushing open the door and entering.

Inside, there were all types of weapons and armor on display. In the center of the shop, there was a counter, and behind it, a door with a sign reading 'Staff Only'. Suddenly, the shop fell silent.

"I'M COMING!" a voice called from the back. The door opened and out walked a woman with light tan skin, long red hair, and gold eyes. She had a large bust, reminiscent of Akeno, and though she worked with hot metal, she wore only simple underwear—a pair of shorts and an undershirt. "Hello, welcome to The Abyss Maker. How may I assist you, stranger?" she asked.

"Hello. Is Naegleria Nebiros available?" Eu asked.

"You're speaking to her. Who are you?" Naegleria responded.

Eu smiled slightly. "Despite how long we've known each other, you don't remember me?"

"I apologize, but I'm not sure I know who you are," Naegleria said, confused.

"What if I do this?" Eu pulled out a notepad and began writing on it.

"No…" Naegleria said slowly. "Only one person I know would pull out a notepad… but she's currently missing and unable to speak."

Eu stopped writing and turned the notepad toward Naegleria.

"Do you remember me now?" Eu wrote.

"Eucliwood!?" Naegleria exclaimed, her eyes wide in surprise.

Eu smiled, put the notepad away, and pulled off her cloak.

"Do you miss me?" Eu asked teasingly.

Before Naegleria could answer, her face was suddenly squished by something large and soft.

"Eucliwood! I've missed you! What happened? How are you able to speak normally? Did you lose your powers?" Naegleria asked, squeezing Eu tightly.

Eu struggled to break free. "Naegleria, please!"

Naegleria immediately realized what she was doing and let go. "Sorry, Eucliwood," she apologized, stepping back.

Eu took a few deep breaths. "Please don't do that again."

"Anyways, do you want something to drink?" Naegleria asked, trying to lighten the mood.

"Sure. Do you have some tea?" Eu replied.

Naegleria led Eu to the back of the shop, where she prepared a small pot of tea. Once it was ready, she placed it on a nearby table.

"So, Eucliwood," Naegleria said, "how have you been?"

"I'm fine," Eu said simply.

"Fine? Eucliwood, I remember when we were part of the Seventh Abyss. You used to pretend to be mute because of your fear of your powers, and I made that armor to help control them."

"I know. I met a friend who helped me gain absolute control of my powers. He also altered the enchantments on my armor to slightly reduce my power, so I could retain the illusion that I don't have any."

"A friend?" Naegleria asked, raising an eyebrow.

Eu sighed, deciding to tell Naegleria about Ichigo and the adventures they'd had. After a few moments, she said, "So, Eu, what brings you here now?"

"I just wanted to visit you," Eu replied.

"I see." Naegleria paused, then asked, "Hey, do you know what happened to the other members?"

"Meringue Salveria is the only one I know about," Eu replied.

"Where is she?" Naegleria asked, curious.

"She's running a popular ramen shop in Lilith," Eu said with a smile.

"Well, I knew she loved ramen, but I didn't think she would end up cooking it," Naegleria chuckled.

"Last time we talked, she told me that she ended up traveling all over Japan, trying different types of ramen. She even found a few chefs willing to teach her how to make it," Naegleria explained.

"Wow," Eu responded, impressed.

"Do you want to go get some?" Naegleria asked.

"Sure. Can I invite a friend to join us for ramen?" Eu replied.

"Of course. Is it that young man you told me about?" Naegleria teased.

Eu blushed a little before quickly responding, "No."

"Aww, poo. I wanted to meet him," Naegleria said with a playful pout.

"Can I invite another friend of mine?" Eu asked.

"Sure," Naegleria said, nodding.

Eu then turned to Ophis. "Hey, Ophis."

"Yes, Eu? Do you need anything?" Ophis answered sleepily.

"What are you doing right now?"

"Sleeping,"

"Do you want to eat some ramen with me?" Eu asked.

"… Can we get ice cream afterward?" Ophis asked, her voice hopeful.

"Which type?"

"All of them," Ophis said firmly.

"Sigh. Fine," Eu relented.

"Yay! I'll be there in a few seconds," Ophis replied, her excitement clear.

"Okay," Eu answered.

"She's coming right now."

Suddenly, a rainbow-colored portal appeared, and Ophis stepped out of it.

"Hello," Ophis greeted them.

"Eu, who is this?" Naegleria asked, eyeing Ophis curiously.

"Ophis, this is Naegleria. Naegleria, this is Ophis," Eu introduced them.

Naegleria immediately walked over to Ophis and gave her a big hug. Eu quickly intervened, pulling Naegleria away before Ophis got annoyed.

"I'm going to close up my shop. Be right back," Naegleria said, stepping out of the living room area. Eu and Ophis waited patiently for her to lock up the shop. Once done, Naegleria opened a teleportation circle and took them to the ramen shop.

Still in Flashback: Scene Change: Lilith

The three of them appeared across the street from a ramen shop. The building had a traditional Japanese structure, a major contrast to the surrounding buildings. The ramen shop, surprisingly, was three stories tall. Despite this stark difference, there was a large line of people waiting outside. At the top of the building, a sign read The Ramen of the Abyss.

"Is there a trend among members of the Seventh Abyss?" Eu asked.

"What do you mean?" Naegleria asked.

"Your blacksmithing shop and this ramen shop are both named in honor of the Seventh Abyss," Eu explained.

"I guess? I never really thought about it. I just liked the name," Naegleria replied casually.

"I see a long line. I want food now," Ophis declared, raising her hand and beginning to gather energy.

"Ophis, please calm down," Eu asked.

Ophis glared at her for a moment before releasing the gathered energy harmlessly into the air. Naegleria led them to the front of the line, ignoring the angry stares of the people waiting. When they reached the bouncer, he noticed them approaching.

The bouncer sighed. "Good day, ladies. How may I assist you?"

"Hello, can I speak to the head bouncer?" Naegleria asked.

"You're speaking to him," the bouncer responded.

"Could you call Meringue Salveria out here for a moment?"

"I'm sorry, but she's not available right now."

"Oh, tell her that two members of the Seventh Abyss are here," Naegleria said.

"What do you mean, the Seventh Abyss?" the bouncer asked, confused.

"How old are you?" Eu asked, narrowing her eyes slightly.

"I'm just 200 years old," the bouncer replied.

"I recommend you comply, or you might lose more than just your job," Eu said, her glare intensifying.

The bouncer hesitated but then pulled out his phone and dialed Meringue's number.

"What is it?" Meringue's voice came over the line.

"I'm sorry to bother you, boss, but I have a customer here who asked me to pass on a message."

"And that is...?"

"She said that two members of the Seventh Abyss are here."

"What?" Meringue's tone shifted immediately. "What are their descriptions?"

"One is red-haired, with an abnormally large bust."

"And the other?"

"A short girl with purple hair."

"Is she wearing medieval-looking armor?"

"Actually, yes. That's correct."

"Send them into the VIP room! Take care of whatever they want!" Meringue ordered before hanging up.

"Well? What did she say?" the bouncer asked.

"Follow me," he said, leading them inside the ramen shop and up to the VIP room. They arrived at a private room with four chairs and four menus on the table. The trio sat down and waited for the fourth member.

A few minutes later, the door opened, and a girl with long mint-green hair, braided neatly, stepped inside. Her purple eyes were slightly slanted upward, and her slender, tall frame exuded elegance.

"Hello Naegleria, Eucliwood," she greeted them.

"Hello, Meringue," Eu said, smiling. Meringue's eyes scanned the room, checking for anything unusual. She sighed in relief when she saw nothing.

"What happened?" she asked, turning to them.

"Why didn't the usual crazy stuff happen when you spoke?" Eu asked.

"Because I managed to get help and control my powers," Meringue replied.

"I see…" Meringue sat down at the table. The group of four ordered various ramen dishes and began to eat.

"This is good," Eu commented.

"It is," Naegleria agreed.

"They made it the best they could since they were likely told by the servers that I was eating here. If it didn't meet my expectations, I would've fired them immediately," Meringue said as she resumed eating her ramen. The group ate in silence for a while. Soon, they finished their ramen and moved on to different types of Japanese ice cream. In a few minutes, even that was finished. Ophis thanked them for the meal before disappearing into another rainbow-colored portal. Meanwhile, Naegleria fell asleep. The server brought warm sake for Meringue and Eu to drink, allowing them to relax and discuss their lives.

"So, Meringue, do you have any idea what happened to the King of the Night, Dew Weiss, or Durak?" Eu asked.

"I know what happened to King," Meringue replied, sipping her sake. One of the servants immediately refilled her glass. "He was finally killed."

"Really?"

"I know, it was unexpected. But I managed to see his body. It was stabbed in the chest by some sort of weapon. Serafall brought his body to me since I was the only former member of the Seventh Abyss she could contact. According to eyewitnesses, he was stabbed by a golden spear, and they mentioned sensing holy energy radiating from it."

"So, what did you do with his body?"

"I cremated it and placed his ashes in a small penguin-shaped vase."

"I see. He did like his penguins."

"Yes, he did."

"What about Dew Weiss or Durak?"

"Those two are missing."

"Really?"

"Those two idiots used to send me letters every month. They wrote about their explorations of another underworld connected to ours by venturing through Hell."

"That was possible?"

"Normally no, but somehow they managed it. At some point, they heard rumors about the location of an artifact called the ארון הקבורה של החוטאים [Coffin of the Sinners]."

"What is that?"

"According to legend, there were once nine members known as the Deadly Sins (1). All nine were divided over which side to take in the Civil War. Lucifer, Belphegor, Mammon, Leviathan, Beelzebub, Satan, and Asmodeus wanted to join the rebels, but Belial and Astaroth didn't. This led to a conflict, with Belial managing to recruit seven other strong devils to fight. Astaroth was killed, but Belial created the ארון הקבורה של החוטאים [Coffin of the Sinners] and sealed Lucifer, Belphegor, Mammon, Leviathan, Beelzebub, Satan, and Asmodeus inside it. She then used a ritual to drain some of their powers and merge them with her seven recruits, turning them into weaker versions of the originals. At some point in the war, Belial killed her version of Lucifer and merged with her, taking on the name Lucifer. Despite being copies, they were still powerful. After the war, the Copy of Leviathan revealed the existence of the קבורה של החוטאים [Coffin of the Sinners, but Belial/Lucifer hid it, leaving clues for her followers to find it if needed."

"Really?"

"Yes. The four Maou decided to keep this knowledge a military secret."

"So, what happened to Dew Weiss and Durak?"

"They managed to find the clues to the קבורה של החוטאים [Coffin of the Sinners]."

"Really?"

"That's what they mentioned in their last letter."

"Last letter?"

"I haven't heard from them since."

"How long ago was that?"

"About a week ago."

"I think they were captured, interrogated for information, and possibly killed," Eu speculated.

"Possible…" Meringue said, taking a sip of her sake. They sat quietly for a moment before continuing to drink.

"In their last letter, they included a copy of the clues."

"Really? Did you solve them yet?"

"I haven't figured them out yet."

"Can I see them?"

"Sure." Meringue stood up and left the room. A few minutes later, she returned with the notes and a map of the Underworld. Eu examined the riddles carefully. Naegleria eventually woke up and returned to her blacksmith shop. Meringue kindly gave Eu her room while she worked on the riddle. Eu spent the next couple of days deciphering the clues. Finally, she figured it out.

"I GOT IT!" Eu shouted.

A few minutes later, Meringue rushed to Eu's room. "You did?"

"I did!" Eu replied with excitement.

"Where is it?"

"It's located in Lucifaad."

"Of course, she would choose her capital as the hiding place."

"Let's go!" Eu exclaimed.

With that, Meringue and Eu opened a teleportation circle and left for Lucifaad.

Still in Flashback: Scene Change: Lucifaad

The two arrived at the ruins of the former capital of the Satan territory, now ruled by Lucifer.

"So, where did she hide the הקבורה של החוטאים [Coffin of the Sinners]?" Meringue asked.

"Over here," Eu said, leading Meringue towards a cave.

"I'm sorry, Eu. I am," Meringue thought as she cast a spell behind them. They journeyed deeper into the cave. Eventually, they arrived at a large cavern. At the center of the cavern was armor shaped like a blue dog.

"Is this the end?" Suddenly, the cavern sealed itself, and torches began to light up. The flames gathered and flowed towards the armor in the center. From the armor's eye sockets, white eyes opened. The firedog let out a howl.

"Welcome to the קברו של החוטא [Grave of the Sinners," the firedog said. "I am here to protect the הקבורה של החוטאים [Coffin of the Sinners]. Travelers, you are the first to ever reach me. You have solved all but one riddle. Are you ready for the final riddle?"

"I am," Eu said, stepping forward.

"Very well. The final riddle is as follows: What is my name?" the firedog asked.

"What?" Meringue shouted, rushing to Eu's side. "Eu, do you know the firedog's name?"

"Maybe," Eu said, thinking for a moment. She recalled everything she knew about Belial and the fake Lucifer. "According to these records, Belial represented the sin of Vainglory or excessive vanity, while Lucifer represented the sin of Pride. What's the connection… Unless… It can't be that simple." She hesitated, then asked, "Is your name Belial?"

The firedog grinned. "It is," Belial the firedog said. "You have answered all the riddles. My duties are complete." With that, the firedog grew brighter, destroyed its blue armor, and extinguished itself, leaving only the torches still lit.

Eu walked over to where the blue armor once stood. She saw a large vase, tightly wrapped with bandages, covered in Hebrew writing, Nordic runes, and Egyptian hieroglyphics. She reached out to touch the box, but her hand was struck by a whip. She turned to see Meringue holding the whip.

"So, you've decided to betray me," Eu said, her voice cold.

"I'm so sorry, Eucliwood. But I have to," Meringue said, rushing toward Eu with her whip. She swung it at Eu.

Eu sighed. "Whip disappears," she commanded. Instantly, Meringue's whip vanished from her hand.

"Shit," Meringue muttered, throwing a few fireballs at Eu.

"Extinguish," Eu said calmly. The fireballs immediately extinguished, but she couldn't see where Meringue was. Suddenly, she was kicked in the back of the head. Eu looked up and saw Meringue had grabbed the sealed vase. Meringue tried to run towards the exit, but Eu stopped her.

"Meringue, stop moving." With a command, Meringue froze in place. "You will talk and answer truthfully: Why did you betray me?" Meringue struggled to resist but couldn't.

Her mouth opened, and she began to explain, tears welling up in her eyes. "A small group from the Satan faction captured Dew Weiss and Durak. They killed Durak and sent a warning that if I didn't find the הקבורה של החוטאים [Coffin of the Sinners, they would kill Dew Weiss."

"Do you know where they are now?" Eu asked.

"I do. They have a hidden base somewhere in Agreas."

"Do you know who kidnapped Dew Weiss?"

"They called themselves Qlippoth."

"Do you have any information about Qlippoth?"

"According to some rumors, Qlippoth was a subdivision of another organization."

"What is this organization called?"

"Khaos Brigade."

"Oh?" Eu sent a message to Ophis. "Ophis, dear. Please come in."

"Yes, Eu?"

"Did you destroy Khaos Brigade?"

"I did."

"Somehow, a small subdivision of Khaos Brigade still exists under the name Qlippoth."

"Then I will destroy them."

"Wait. Let me come, too."

"Why?"

"A friend of mine is currently a prisoner with them."

"Very well."

"Meringue, despite lying to us, we'll help you rescue Dew Weiss."

"Really!? Thank you!" Suddenly, a rainbow portal opened, and Ophis stepped out.

"Ready to go?" Ophis asked.

"I am," Eu said, nodding. Meringue also nodded. Ophis turned to Meringue.

"I want you to think hard and remember where Qlippoth is." Meringue focused, trying to recall every detail she could about Qlippoth's location. Suddenly, she felt something slithering inside her mind, like a snake. She looked to see Ophis's eyes glowing. Meringue pushed all the information she had about Qlippoth toward the 'snake'. A few seconds later, she felt the snake slither out of her mind.

"I have the location," Ophis said.

"Great! Let's go!" Eu said, grabbing the הקבורה של החוטאים [Coffin of the Sinners]. Ophis raised her hand, and a rainbow portal opened. The three walked into the portal.

Still in Flashback: Scene Change: Agreas: Qlippoth's Base

In a well-decorated office room, two people were speaking. One man sat in a chair, sipping wine. He appeared to be in his 40s, with long dark silver hair, hazel eyes, and a short silver beard. The other man, walking around the office, was a young, handsome figure in his early twenties with braided silver hair, wearing a silver robe adorned with detailed accessories.

"What are we going to do about those brats and my stupid sister? They managed to stop our important operations," the younger man muttered, pacing around the room.

"Relax, Euclid. You'll be able to get your revenge later," the middle-aged man replied, sipping his wine.

"But…"

"Euclid, do you wish to argue with me?" the middle-aged man said, glaring at him.

"No, Rizevim-sama," Euclid said, lowering his gaze.

"Good. Now, what's the status regarding the הקבורה של החוטאים [Coffin of the Sinners]?"

"She hasn't informed me of any progress yet," Euclid responded.

Before Rizevim could reply, a rainbow portal opened, and Ophis, Eu, and Meringue stepped out.

"OPHIS!" Rizevim yelled, charging towards the group. "Euclid, kill the prisoner!"

"Yes, Rizevim-sama," Euclid replied, running off.

"No, you don't!" Meringue yelled, chasing after Euclid. Eu jumped between them, blocking Rizevim with her scythe.

"So, Ophis, you managed to find us," Rizevim taunted.

Ophis ignored him, firing an energy disk at Rizevim. He swiftly jumped out of the way, and the energy disk hit the wall, destroying a large chunk of it. Rizevim retaliated with a few energy blasts aimed at Ophis and Eu. Ophis dodged them, while Eu sliced through them with her scythe. Rizevim prepared to charge at Ophis when he suddenly heard a voice.

"Rizevim, stop," Eu commanded. He froze in place. Ophis fired an energy blast at him, but before it could hit, someone threw a chair at the blast, successfully blocking it. Everyone turned to see the newcomer.

"Samael!" Rizevim yelled.

The man stood over 200 cm (6.57 feet), with a muscular upper body, and abs defined beneath evenly tanned skin. However, his face looked as though it had been surgically altered with a kitchen knife, scarred and filled with fangs. His lower body resembled that of an Asian dragon.

"DRAGON!" Samael roared, charging at Ophis.

Ophis fired energy blasts at him, but Samael dodged effortlessly. He opened his mouth and shot a blast of venom at her. Ophis dodged, but the venom hit nearby furniture, melting it instantly. Her instincts screamed at her to avoid the venom at all costs.

"Oh no, you don't!" Samael shouted, launching more venom at her. Ophis skillfully dodged, but the venom followed relentlessly.

"Come on, Hellscythe-sama, you should join us!" Rizevim taunted, continuing his attack on Eu.

"No," Eu replied coldly, dodging or blocking Rizevim's attacks with her scythe.

This continued until Meringue struggled into the room, carrying an unconscious man. He stood at approximately 173 cm (5.68 cm) with a lean but wiry frame. His silver hair flowed down to his waist. His claws were sharp, and his fangs were short but deadly. His ears, furry and pointed like a wolf's, twitched as he was placed down. He wore a faded red robe (2).

"EU! OPHIS! I got him!" Meringue yelled.

"PUSH!" Eu commanded, using an invisible force to slam Rizevim into a nearby wall. Ophis took advantage of the distraction, hitting Samael with an energy blast. He staggered back, and Ophis regrouped with the others.

"SAMAEL!" Rizevim shouted, regaining his balance and charging towards the group.

"Ophis, NOW!" Eu shouted. Ophis opened a dimensional portal just as Samael released a final blast of venom. He took a deep breath, unleashing a massive stream of venom aimed at them. Ophis saw the attack coming and created a barrier to protect them as they dragged the unconscious man toward the portal. But the venom began to eat away at the barrier, and just as it shattered, Samael's attack hit Ophis. She was struck by the venom, and with a cry, she fell into the dimensional portal as it closed behind her.

Flashback Ended: Scene Change: Kuoh Town: Kurosaki Household

"I see," Ichigo said, understanding the situation fully. He turned to Masaki and Yuzu, who were inspecting the patients. "What is their current status?"

"Ophis is in pain. She's gritting her teeth and sweating. As for the young man with wolf ears, he has bruises and is severely malnourished," Masaki reported.

"Very well. For now, let's leave them in their condition to avoid making their injuries worse."

"Understood," Masaki replied.

Ichigo turned to Eu. "Where is the הקבורה של החוטאים [Coffin of the Sinners]?"

"I have it here," Eu said, handing it to Ichigo. "What are you planning to do with it?"

"I'll keep it in my mindscape until I can safely unseal it," Ichigo replied as the הקבורה של החוטאים [Coffin of the Sinners] disappeared into his mindscape.

"Now then, Kaa-san, why don't you tell us what happened to you on your trip?" Ichigo asked.

"Sure," Masaki said, sitting down with the others. "It all started one day while I was walking around Kuoh Town…"

Flashback: Scene Change: Kuoh Town

Masaki Kurosaki was walking home after purchasing groceries when she was suddenly attacked by a nearby stray devil. The devil resembled a werewolf with devil wings on its back. As Masaki dropped her groceries, she prepared to summon her Quincy Shield, but just then, the stray devil was struck by a lightning bolt. She turned to see Rias and Akeno standing there in their Kuoh Academy uniforms.

"Are these the devil students Yuzu and Karin told me about?" Masaki thought, watching them closely.

"In the name of the Gremory Clan, I, Gremory Rias, will destroy you!" Rias declared.

"Wait... Gremory? Isn't that the same clan Zeoticus and Venelana are part of? Did they have another child?" Masaki wondered.

"Akeno, finish this!" Rias commanded.

"My pleasure," Akeno said, summoning another lightning bolt to destroy the stray devil. "Looks like that's it."

Akeno turned to see Masaki watching the battle. "Rias, we have a witness."

"Oh no. We need to erase her memory of this," Rias said, concerned.

"Now, hold on for a second," Masaki called out. "I'd rather not have anyone trying to erase my memories or anything!"

With that, she transformed into her modified Quincy uniform—a variation of the Sternritter's standard white outfit, featuring a hooded cloak, thigh-length trench coat, knee-high boots, a miniskirt, and black stockings with red trim. Her Quincy Shield, large and ready, appeared on her right hand, aimed directly at Rias and Akeno.

"A Quincy!?" Akeno gasped, recognizing the insignia from her mother's stories about the Thousand Year Blood War.

"You're familiar with me?" Masaki asked.

"I am," Akeno replied. "My mother is a Shinigami stationed here."

"I see. I'm not here to fight," Masaki said. "I just need some answers."

"Very well," Rias agreed.

"But Rias—"

"No, Akeno, we can use this," Rias interrupted, turning to Masaki. "If you power down, we'll talk."

"I'm aware that both of you could attack me right now, so I'm staying like this."

"Fine," Rias said. "My name is Gremory Rias, and this is Himejima Akeno."

"And I'm Kurosaki Masaki."

"Wait," Rias said, her curiosity piqued. "Kurosaki? Any relation to Kurosaki Ichigo, Yuzu, or Karin?"

"Of course, I'm related to them," Masaki answered. "I'm their mother."

Rias blinked, surprised. "Oh..."

"Do you happen to know someone named Zeoticus and Venelana?" Masaki asked.

"How do you know Otou-sama and Okaa-sama?" Rias asked, her surprise deepening.

"Would you believe me if I said I'm friends with them?"

"I don't believe you," Rias said skeptically.

"Call them, then."

"Very well." Rias pulled out her phone and dialed her mother's number. After a moment, the call connected.

"Hello, Rias. Is something going on? It's unusual for you to call at this time," Venelana answered.

"I understand, Okaa-sama, but I have a strange question for you."

"What is it?"

"Do you and Otou-sama happen to know someone named Kurosaki Masaki?" Rias asked.

There was a long pause before Rias heard yelling in the background.

"Honey!"

"What?!"

"Do you have a photo of Masaki?!"

"It should be in one of our honeymoon albums!"

Rias could hear the rustling of photo albums in the background. A few minutes later, an out-of-breath Venelana replied, "Does she have brown eyes, fair skin, and long, light, wavy brown hair down to her back?"

"Um… yes," Rias said, confirming.

"Did she say she's related to Ichigo-kun?"

"She said he's her son."

"Where are you now?"

"I'm in Kuoh Town, on the street where Issei lives."

"Stay there. Your father and I are coming." Venelana hung up before Rias could respond.

"Otou-sama and Okaa-sama are on their way!" Rias told Akeno.

"Yuzu. Karin. Can you hear me?"

"Yes, Kaa-san?" Yuzu answered.

"I'm listening, Kaa-san," Karin added.

"Are both of you busy?"

"Not really. We're just walking home," Yuzu replied.

"Good. I need you both to come here. I just met your devil friends."

"Okay," Karin said, and a moment later, both Yuzu and Karin arrived.

"Hello, everyone," Yuzu greeted.

"Yo," Karin added.

"Hello, Yuzu. Karin," Rias and Akeno responded.

"Hello, my girls," Masaki said, embracing Yuzu and Karin.

Just then, a red seal appeared on the ground beside Rias. The seal expanded, forming the Gremory Clan Crest. As it faded, Zeoticus and Venelana materialized.

"Okaa-sama, Otou-sama," Rias said, bowing as Akeno did the same.

"Hello, Rias, Akeno," Zeoticus said. "Now, tell me, where is Masaki?"

"I'm over here," Masaki said, releasing her daughters and stepping forward.

"Masaki!" Venelana called, walking toward her. Masaki unwrapped her arms from around her daughters and embraced her friend.

"Hello, Masaki," Zeoticus said. Masaki let go of Venelana as Zeoticus gently took her left hand and kissed her knuckles. After straightening up, he looked her in the eye.

"So, Masaki," he began, "according to Ichigo, he said you died. Yet, here you are, alive and well. Did Ichigo lie to us?"

"Technically, Ichigo didn't lie," Masaki replied.

"Really? What happened?" Venelana asked, clearly concerned.

"It all started when I was born. I was the last surviving member of a pureblood Quincy line, an Echt Quincy. When I was around Yuzu's and Karin's age, I encountered an experimental Hollow created by Aizen. I ended up killing the Hollow, but I was infected by it. Urahara and Isshin saved my life, but I was no longer considered an Echt Quincy. Instead, I became a Gemischt Quincy or a half-blood.

"Then, on June 17th, 1994, Yūhabahha activated a Quincy technique called Auswählen, which steals the powers of all Gemischt Quincies. Since I was infected by the Hollow, I was considered Gemischt, and my powers were stolen. To make matters worse, Ichigo and I were attacked by a Hollow, which led to my death. Since I had used my Quincy abilities, I ended up in Hell. I wandered there for a while, until one day, I felt something pulling me toward the fourth layer. That's when Ichigo saved me."

"I remember when we first met, you only had the bow. But now you have a white uniform and a giant shield. What happened?" Zeoticus asked.

"Somehow, Yūhabahha discovered my existence and kidnapped me to their secret base. From there, I was forced to watch visions of how powerful Yūhabahha was. He told me Ichigo was his target. I decided to join him to protect Ichigo, but... I ended up having to fight him."

"No…" Venelana gasped.

"Oh yes," Masaki replied bitterly. "That bastard used me as a secret weapon against Ichigo. We fought each other, and in the end, you know what he did to protect me."

No one answered. Even Yuzu and Karin were curious. Ichigo hadn't told them what happened in the Quincy War.

"That stupid, overprotective son of mine threw me into the one place Yūhabahha couldn't reach me."

"Oh no... he didn't," Venelana said, piecing together the answer to Masaki's statement.

"Oh, but he did," Masaki said. "My overprotective son threw me into Hell to keep Yūhabahha from using me. At the end of the fight, Ichigo released me from Hell, fully restored my Quincy powers, and allowed me to join his peerage."

"Wow. I guess Ichigo will end up ruling the world," Zeoticus remarked.

Venelana and Masaki shot him a glare, causing him to awkwardly glance at the trees.

"Anyway, Masaki," Venelana said, shifting the topic. "I was wondering if you'd like to visit the Underworld."

"Um... I'm not sure," Masaki hesitated.

"Go ahead, Kaa-san," Yuzu encouraged, looking up at her mother.

"We both noticed that you spent a couple of days bored out of your mind. Go visit some friends," Karin added with a smirk.

"What about you two?" Masaki asked.

"Don't worry, we'll be fine. If we need help, we can always call Rias," Karin said.

"Very well. I'll accept your offer. Just give me a moment to pack for the Underworld."

"Okay," Zeoticus agreed.

Everyone made their way back to the Kurosaki household. Masaki handed Yuzu the groceries she had bought and packed a small bag for her trip. Soon, she was ready. Zeoticus cast the red seal of the Gremory Clan once again, and Masaki left for the Underworld.

Flashback: Scene Change: Gremory Estate

Masaki, Zeoticus, and Venelana appeared in the throne room of the Gremory Estate.

"So, that was your daughter?" Masaki asked, observing the estate's grandeur.

"Yes," Zeoticus replied. "She was born almost two decades ago."

"Ah, and how are Sirzechs and his wife? Any children on the way?" Masaki asked.

"They do have a child, a little boy named Gremory Millicas," Venelana answered.

"When was he born?"

"Almost a decade ago, I believe."

They continued talking, ignoring the various maids and butlers who bowed to them until Masaki spotted a little boy who she assumed must be Millicas. He had short crimson red hair.

"Likely from Sirzechs," she thought. His red eyes were unmistakable, "He must have inherited those from Grayfia."

"Welcome to the Gremory Estate," the little boy said with enthusiasm. "I'm Gremory Millicas, the Second Heir of the Gremory Clan. Who are you?"

"My name is Kurosaki Masaki."

"Good job on your greeting, Millicas."

"Oba-sama," Millicas said, bowing slightly.

"Yes, Millicas?"

"Yay! Can I go hang out with my human friends?"

"Very well."

"Yay!" Millicas cheered, running off toward his room to change.

"Make sure to tell your mother!" Venelana called after him.

"He's quite the bundle of energy, isn't he?" Masaki said, chuckling.

"Yes, my son is an impressive ball of energy," Sirzechs said as he approached them.

"Hello, Kaa-san. Tou-san. Who is this lady?" Sirzechs asked, eyeing Masaki curiously.

"To think, almost two decades ago we met and you forgot about me," Masaki teased, crossing her arms.

"Um…" Sirzechs faltered, trying to remember.

"This is our dear friend, Kurosaki Masaki," Venelana said, introducing her.

"Any relation to Ichigo, Yuzu, or Karin?" Sirzechs asked.

"I'm their mother."

"Oh…"

"Sirzechs, what are you doing here?" Zeoticus asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I can't just come by and visit my home, Tou-san?" Sirzechs responded, his tone teasing.

"You can, but normally you're supposed to be working," Zeoticus pointed out.

Sirzechs turned around and saw Millicas leading a young woman into the room—Grayfia. She looked to be in her early twenties, with silver hair and red eyes. Her hair, which flowed down to her back, had a braid on each side, each with small blue bows at the ends, and twin braids at the back. She wore a blue-and-white French maid outfit with long sleeves, and a white maid headband adorned her head, with red lipstick completing the look.

"Um… Grayfia… what are you... doing here?" Sirzechs stammered, clearly caught off guard.

"Millicas-sama came over to see me. On his way, he saw you sneaking around. When he told me, Venelana-sama permitted him to go out with his friends."

"Grayfia, honey, I was just taking a break and greeting Masaki. You remember Masaki, right?" Sirzechs said, motioning to Masaki.

"Hello, Masaki. We'll talk later. For now, I need to discipline this man-child," Grayfia said, grabbing Sirzechs's ear.

"Don't worry, I understand. Isshin was also a man-child I had to discipline often," Masaki said with a smile.

"Like mother, like son," Grayfia thought, as she dragged Sirzechs away.

"OW! OW! Ow!" Sirzechs's cries echoed through the halls.

"Anyways..." Zeoticus said, regaining Masaki's attention. "Let's show you some recordings of Ichigo we have."

"All right then." Masaki followed Zeoticus to a private theater room. She sat in the middle, with Venelana on her left and Zeoticus on her right.

"Before we play the recording, I want to give you some background on the situation," Zeoticus began. With that, Zeoticus and Venelana explained Rias's marriage contract with Riser and the significance of the Jigoku no Kōtei to the Devils.

"I understand," Masaki said.

Zeoticus then started playing the recording of Rias's rating game. Masaki was impressed with Rias's strategies against Riser, especially since Riser outnumbered her two to one. She was furious at Riser's treatment of Issei but also impressed by Issei's stubbornness and determination, which reminded her of Ichigo. Suddenly, the Gates of Hell appeared in their purple, unholy glory. Masaki watched as Ichigo, accompanied by someone else, stood atop a Kushanāda as it marched out of the Gates of Hell. She observed how many of the Devils bowed to Ichigo when he summoned the Jigoku no Yoroi. She was also impressed with Eucliwood Hellscythe's entrance, as many of the Devils looked either shocked or scared. Masaki was equally amazed at how quickly Eucliwood ended the fight.

"Why did so many of the Devils react like that when Eucliwood Hellscythe revealed herself?" Masaki asked.

"Oh, of course, I forgot to explain the Seventh Abyss to you," Venelana said.

"Sorry, Masaki. Allow me to explain. You see, Eucliwood Hellscythe is part of a group called the Seventh Abyss. It consists of seven of the strongest beings in the Underworld at the time. This group was one that no one wanted to mess with, especially Eucliwood Hellscythe-sama. She possesses a terrifying ability."

"What ability?"

"She can alter reality to whatever she wants by simply saying it."

"Wow." The recording replayed, showing how effortlessly Eucliwood defeated Riser.

"During that time, she was unable to control her powers, which led her to wear that armor to restrict them. Despite being unable to speak, she was still dangerous. Eventually, Ichigo found her, helped her control her powers, and restored her ability to speak. I believe she's also part of your peerage."

"Really?" Masaki decided to try and talk to Eucliwood through the peerage connection. "Hello, Eucliwood?"

"Hello. Who is this?"

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm Kurosaki Masaki. One of Ichigo's pawns."

"Oh. Hello. I am Eucliwood Hellscythe, one of Ichigo's queens."

"I see."

"Is there any reason you're contacting me?"

"Oh. I was just talking to Venelana, and she mentioned you were in Ichigo's peerage, so I thought I'd see if that was true."

"Oh, that's fine. Everyone else in the peerage calls me Eu."

"Okay, Eu."

"Is there anything else you need?"

"Not right now. Thanks for replying."

"No problem. We're family now."

"Masaki? Masaki?" Venelana called as she waved her hand in front of Masaki's face. Suddenly, Masaki grabbed Venelana's hand.

"Yes, Venelana?" Masaki replied.

"I'm sorry. I called your name a few times, and you didn't respond, so I waved my hand to get a reaction."

"Oh, I was just talking to Eu through the peerage link."

"The peerage link? What is that?"

"According to Ichigo, it's a mental connection we all have in his peerage."

"Really?"

"You sound skeptical."

"I am. I've never heard of this before."

"It might have something to do with Ichigo."

"Maybe."

With the footage finished, Zeoticus escorted Masaki out. For the next few days, Masaki visited Sirzechs and Grayfia. Sirzechs introduced her to his peerage. During her stay, she also met Azazel and Michael. When Masaki summoned her shield and hit Azazel in the head for some... questionable comments, Michael, upon seeing Masaki's Quincy Shield, asked for permission to perform tests. Michael discovered that all Quincy techniques are derived from Angelic Holy Energy Manipulation. He also examined Masaki's Quincy Cross and found a small gem in its center—a fragment of the crystallized light attribute, similar to what Valper Galilei created in his experiments.

Afterward, Masaki was invited to watch a Rating Game. Sirzechs explained to her what a Rating Game was. She remembered watching Rias's and Riser's rating game. This one was again Rias's rating game, but this time against a girl named Sona Sitri, Serafall's younger sister. Unlike the previous game, this one was less gruesome. Masaki admired how intelligent these young Kings were. Serafall also mentioned to Masaki that they were friends. She found it amusing that the only members who survived Riser's Rating Game were the ones defeated in this one.

After the Rating Game, there was a small party to celebrate Rias's victory over Sona. Masaki noticed that, despite Sona's defeat, she remained friends with Rias. She slowly met everyone from both peerages. Many were nervous when they learned that Masaki was Ichigo's mother and friends with Sirzechs, Grayfia, Zeoticus, and Venelana. During this small gathering, Masaki brought up the idea of recreating the family clinic, the one she started with Isshin. Sirzechs offered his help to make that happen. At the end of the party, Masaki felt she had stayed long enough. Everyone said their goodbyes, and Grayfia escorted her back home.

Flashback End: Scene Change: Kurosaki Household

"Looks like you had fun in the Underworld," Ichigo remarked.

"I did. But one of these days, you need to gather all your peerage members here so we can meet them all," Masaki commented.

"Very well. I'll make a note of that. Now then, Yuzu and Karin, want to tell us what you two did?"

"Sure. Ichi-nii," Yuzu said.

"Might as well," Karin added.

"It all started a few days after Kaa-san left."

Flashback Start: Scene Change: Kurosaki Household

Yuzu and Karin were making dinner for themselves. By this time, Masaki, Eu, and Ophis had already left on their adventure. As they cooked, Yuzu glanced out the window and noticed something falling from the sky.

"Hey, Karin," Yuzu said, poking her sister's arm.

"What?" Karin looked at Yuzu.

"Something's falling from the sky." Yuzu and Karin both stared outside and saw something crash in the nearby forest. "Let's go see what it is."

"Why?"

"Curious to see what fell from the sky."

"It's probably just a rock."

"What if it isn't a rock?" Yuzu pouted, using her best puppy-dog eyes.

Karin tried to resist, but slowly her will began to weaken.

"Fine!" Karin said, looking away from Yuzu.

"YAY!" With that, the two girls put on jackets and headed for the forest to hunt down the fallen object.

Flashback Still: Scene Change: Nearby Forest

Yuzu and Karin entered the forest. Karin noticed several birds flying away from a particular area. She led Yuzu to the potential ground zero. They had to jump over a few fallen trees, but eventually, they reached the crater's edge. Yuzu and Karin peered down at the giant crater, surrounded by trees that had been destroyed by the impact. Carefully, they slid down into the crater. What they saw left them speechless.

In the center of the crater, there was an egg. It was mostly white with some teal lines.

"Karin, we should take the egg."

"Why?"

"Because it crashed here. All alone, with no one to take care of it when it hatches."

"No."

"But... Karin."

"Yuzu, we don't know what's inside that egg. It could be dangerous."

"I know… but we can train it to be good." Yuzu looked up at Karin with those irresistible puppy-dog eyes again. Karin fought it for a while, but in the end, she couldn't resist.

"FINE! We'll take the egg."

"YAY!" Yuzu tackled Karin in a hug.

"Hey! Get off me. I don't think we're the only ones who saw the egg fall. We need to grab it and get out of here." Karin pointed out. Yuzu quickly grabbed the egg, and the two girls raced back home.

Flashback Still: Scene Change: Kurosaki House

Yuzu and Karin were hurrying back to the house when they accidentally collided with someone. Karin instinctively wrapped her arms around the egg to protect it.

"Hey!" the other person yelled. Yuzu and Karin looked up to see that they had crashed into Issei.

"Issei-senpai," Yuzu said.

"Oh, hey, girls. What's going on?"

"Nothing," Karin replied. Issei's gaze then fell on the white egg in their hands.

"Is that an egg?" he asked.

"It is," Yuzu admitted.

"Issei, ask them where they got the egg," Ddraig said.

"Why, Ddraig?" Issei replied mentally.

"Because I can sense that egg is some sort of dragon."

"Are you sure?"

"I am."

"Okay. I'll ask them." Issei turned to the twins.

"Um… where did you get that egg?"

"We found it," Karin said.

"I understand that you two found it. But, I'm asking where you found it," Issei clarified.

"Outer space," Yuzu admitted.

"YUZU!" Karin yelled.

"Outer space?" Issei asked, taken aback.

"It fell from outer space," Karin clarified.

"I see…" Issei replied, processing the information. "Are you satisfied, Ddraig?"

"I am and at the same time scared."

"Why?"

"If what those girls are saying is true, then we have a big problem."

"Why?"

"Dragons who come from space can be very dangerous. They may have abilities that make them superior to dragons from this planet."

"Kind of like Superman from those shows."

"Exactly. Superman originated from another world and was considered the strongest hero on Earth."

"I'll tell the girls this."

"Very well. Knowing Ichigo-sama, his sisters will be very protective of the egg."

"I know," Issei concluded the mental discussion with Ddraig.

"You done with your mental discussion yet?" Karin asked.

"What!?"

"You're making the same face when we have mental discussions," Yuzu said.

"Oh... I'm done."

"So, what were the results of your mental discussion?" Karin asked.

"Ddraig believes that the egg you two are holding could be a dragon egg."

"A dragon egg?" Karin said.

"From space?" Yuzu added.

"Yes. As strange as it sounds, I'm confident in Ddraig."

"So, what should we do?" Karin asked.

"Let's go talk to Rias and see if she can take us to the Familiar Forest to meet with Zatouji."

"Who's Zatouji?" Yuzu asked.

"He's one of the Familiar Masters who takes care of the Familiar Forest."

"I see," Karin said. With that, Issei led the girls back to his house. As they arrived, Issei opened the door to find Rias wearing only an apron and holding a ladle.

"Hello, Master. Do you want to eat dinner first? Or take a bath? Or take me?" Rias asked, unaware of who was standing behind Issei.

"Um… Rias?" Issei said.

"Yes, Master?" Rias looked up and immediately blushed, realizing who was standing behind him.

"Um… hi guys?" Rias greeted awkwardly.

"Hey, Yuzu."

"Yes, Karin."

"I have an excellent idea."

"Is it taking photos of them and blackmailing them for a favor in the future?"

"Exactly." Yuzu and Karin's smiles weren't friendly. They were more like hungry lions eyeing two injured gazelles. The girls pulled out their phones and began snapping pictures of Rias and Issei.

"STOP THAT!" Rias yelled, trying to cover herself. Issei rushed to assist, shielding Rias.

"Do you think we have enough?" Karin asked.

"Probably," Yuzu replied. The girls closed their phones and slipped them into their pockets.

"Hey," Rias said, glaring at the girls. Her face was as red as her hair from embarrassment. She crossed her arms over her chest. "What was that for?"

"It's a punishment for not being aware of who was ringing the doorbell," Karin said.

"It's also punishment for showing off that inhuman body to everyone," Yuzu added.

"Fine. What do you want?"

"We need your help to contact Zatouji," Yuzu said.

"Why?" Rias asked.

"Because we found this egg, and we need someone to help identify what creature is in it," Karin explained, showing Rias the egg.

"Ddraig believes it's a dragon egg," Issei added. Rias sighed.

"Very well. Normally, we would have to arrange an appointment with Zatouji or one of the other Familiar Masters on the full moon. Luckily, not many people seek them out at other times of the month," Rias said as she moved away from the door. Issei, Yuzu, and Karin entered the house, giving the proper greeting, and sat down in the living room to wait while Rias contacted Zatouji.

While they waited, Issei's Boosted Gear appeared.

"Manifest!" The Boosted Gear said as Ddraig appeared in his possessed Scale Mail.

"Hello, Ddraig. Are you here to properly examine the dragon egg?" Issei asked.

"I am," Ddraig answered, then turned to Karin. "May I see the egg?"

Karin handed the egg to Ddraig.

"Despite living for so long, I've never seen a design like this on a dragon egg."

"Design?" Karin asked.

"Yes. The style of the dragon egg reveals a few things. The primary colors suggest what the dragon might look like. Based on this egg, this may be a white dragon with some green on its body."

"But that's not all," Yuzu added.

"Correct. The colors could also indicate the dragon's elemental affinity."

"Interesting," Karin said. Just then, Rias entered the living room, followed by the rest of her peerage.

"I managed to contact the Familiar Forest. They told me that Zatouji isn't available at the moment. However, I arranged for us to speak with a Familiar Master who specializes in Reptilian Familiars," Rias said.

"Good. Let's go," Karin said, standing up.

"Not so fast," Rias replied.

"What is it?" Yuzu asked as she stood as well.

"I want you two to delete those photos off your phones."

"Why?"

"Because those photos are too embarrassing!" Rias complained.

"It's not my fault you decided to dress in something so scandalous and say those lines," Yuzu said.

"While showing off your beautiful body to everyone," Karin added. Rias glared at Yuzu and Karin. Everyone else in the room had varying reactions.

"So that was Rias's plan. Looks like someone should be taught not to try and trick their best friend," Akeno thought.

"I know I don't look like Rias-senpai, but I'll still try!" Asia thought.

"Pervert… But maybe Issei might like it?" Koneko thought.

"Oh. Issei wants someone more forward… Very well, I'll try harder!" Xenovia thought.

"Wah! Issei likes Rias more than me!" Rossweisse thought.

"I don't know if I should feel sorry for him or not," Yuuto thought.

"I don't know how I should feel…" Gasper thought.

Issei, knowing that just like their brothers, all three girls could be stubborn on certain points, sighed. He decided to intervene. "Hey, girls?" All three girls turned and glared at Issei. "Look, it's getting late, and the Reptilian Familiar Master won't be there forever, so let's agree." With that, Issei became a mediator for the argument. Eventually, an agreement was reached. Yuzu and Karin agreed to delete the photos if Rias helped them speak to the Reptilian Familiar Master and purchase any needed materials to care for the creature in the egg.

"Hey guys, do you want to go with us to the Familiar Forest?" Rias asked.

"No thanks. I've got to go to that dinner you arranged for me," Akeno replied.

"Hey guys, do you want to go with us to the Familiar Forest?" Rias asked again.

"We have to take care of those contracts you transferred to us from Akeno," Koneko said, while Asia, Xenovia, and Rossweisse nodded. Rias nervously chuckled as she remembered making a special reservation for Akeno and her family at Akeno's favorite restaurant to get her out of the house. She'd asked Asia, Xenovia, and Rossweisse to handle Akeno's contracts to keep them out of the house. Akeno had to call the restaurant and push their reservation back slightly due to some complications with her Kaa-san. What Rias hadn't realized was that Akeno's contracts didn't start until much later. With a slight sigh and a large pot of revenge beginning to stew, Rias cast a special teleportation seal for non-devil passengers. The seal glowed brightly before teleporting everyone out of Issei's house and to the Familiar Forest.

Still Flashback: Scene Change: Familiar Forest

In an empty clearing in the Familiar Forest, a red seal appeared and began to glow. The light brightened before suddenly fading out. In its place stood Issei, Rias, Yuzu, and Karin. The Familiar Forest was shrouded in its usual fog, adding to the mysterious atmosphere.

"So where is this Reptilian Familiar Master?" Karin asked.

"I'M HEEEERRRREEE!" someone yelled from above the trees. The group looked up to see someone swinging on vines. The Reptilian Familiar Master in question appeared to be female. She had purple hair, brown eyes, and dark skin, dressed in a cream-colored top with a pink collar and cuffs, a pink skirt with a big ribbon, white leggings that were yellow at the ends, and pink and white shoes with yellow straps. She let go of the vine, did a few somersaults, and landed gracefully in front of the group. "TA-DA!" she declared. Yuzu and Issei energetically clapped, enjoying the small show, while Rias clapped politely. Karin couldn't clap due to holding the egg.

"Thank you, thank you. I'll be here all evening!" the Reptilian Familiar Master said.

"So what is your name?" Karin asked.

"Oh! I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Iris. The best Reptilian Familiar Master ever!" Iris replied. The group stared at her in surprise.

"Buchou, do all the Familiar Masters seem a little… insane?" Issei whispered.

"I… think so," Rias replied.

"So who here is Gremory Rias?" Iris asked.

"I am."

"So what's your question that needs my expertise?"

"We found this egg and were wondering if you could identify what creature is inside. We believe it's some sort of reptilian," Karin explained.

"I see. Can I hold the egg?" Iris asked, her tone suddenly serious. Karin carefully handed the egg to her. Iris studied the dragon egg for a few seconds before handing it back to Karin.

"So, what's inside the egg?" Karin asked.

"Honestly, I don't know. The eggshell is too thick for me to fully tell what's inside."

"I see…" Yuzu said.

"However, I can tell that this is a dragon egg."

"Why?" Karin asked.

"Dragon eggs are one of the few reptilian eggs that are this large."

"Okay then. How do we take care of it?" Karin asked.

"I recommend you go to Banzai Bazaar and visit Pocket Monsters. You can talk to the staff there and find an appropriate incubator for the egg. After that, you'll need to read these books," Iris said, jotting down a list of books for them. Once she finished, she handed the list to Yuzu and Karin.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander," Yuzu read.

"From Egg to Inferno: A Dragon-Keeper's Guide," Karin read aloud.

"Yep. Those books will help you identify your dragon and teach you how to take care of it," Iris said.

"Thank you," everyone said in unison.

"No problem. If you need help with that dragon, feel free to call me!" Iris shouted before jumping up a tree and swinging away on the vines. The group shrugged, and Rias prepared another teleportation seal for their next destination: Banzai Bazaar.

Still Flashback: Scene Change: Banzai Bazaar

The red seal appeared again, this time in an empty alleyway in Banzai Bazaar. They walked around the bazaar, with Yuzu and Karin resisting the temptation to explore and instead focusing on finding the equipment and books they needed to care for their dragon. Eventually, they came across a store called Pocket Monster. The shop was filled with all types of equipment for various familiars, so they decided to enter.

Inside, a young lady with bright pink hair and fair skin greeted them. She wore plain pink robes with a short apron, white pantyhose, and pink shoes. On the right side of her robes, a nametag read "Joy."

"Hello, welcome to Pocket Monster. How may I help you?" she asked.

"Hi, we were wondering if you have anything for dragons," Karin inquired.

"Why?" Joy asked, raising an eyebrow. Karin revealed the dragon egg for her to see.

"Is that the dragon egg in question?" Joy asked, pointing to the egg.

"It is," Karin replied.

"If I may ask, where did you find it?" Joy asked.

"It fell from the sky and landed in a nearby forest," Yuzu answered.

"I see… one second," Joy said before walking to the back. The group could hear her talking on the phone. "Hello?"

"Hey, Jenny, this is Joy."

"Oh, Joy. What can I do for you?"

"I was wondering if anyone had reported a missing dragon egg."

"…Joy, are you serious right now?" Jenny responded.

"I am." There was a pause before Jenny spoke again.

"As of right now, no one has reported a missing dragon egg… Why?"

"Because I just had a group of people walk into my shop with a dragon egg and ask for stuff to take care of it."

"I see… I'm on my way."

"Okay. Thanks." Joy ended the call. Everyone pretended not to have overheard the conversation. Joy returned to the counter shortly after.

"So do you have anything for us to take care of this dragon egg?" Karin asked.

"I do. But, I need an Auror to come here," Joy replied.

"Why?" Yuzu asked.

"Because a dragon egg does not simply fall from the sky. Dragon eggs are heavily regulated items," Joy explained.

"And this is where I come in." Someone entered as the front door opened. The group could see someone with dark teal hair and fair skin. She wore a purple robe with red trim, a sky-blue chest piece, gold shoulder pads, black shoes, and white gloves. In the center of her robes, she had a golden badge with three stars on it. "Hello, everyone. My name is Auror Jenny," she said. "Is that the dragon egg in question?"

"It is," Joy replied.

"Hand it over," Auror Jenny said.

"For what reason?" Karin asked.

"Because I will be taking it back to the Dragon Reserves to be properly raised and cared for."

"Why?"

"What do you mean, why'" Auror Jenny replied, her voice sharp.

"I'm asking why you're thinking of taking something we found and isn't stolen property," Karin said, tightening her grip on the egg. However, Auror Jenny ignored her question.

"I am now ordering you to hand over the dragon egg."

"I will not," Karin said.

"Very well, all of you are arrested for Failure to Obey the Lawful Order of an Auror. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you." Auror Jenny pulled out her wand and bound the group of four. Karin managed to continue holding the egg. Auror Jenny then pulled out a phone. "Hello, this is Auror Jenny. I need three backup Aurors to assist in escorting prisoners to holding cells." A few seconds later, three more Aurors appeared. They wore robes similar to Auror Jenny's, but their badges had only two stars. The Aurors grabbed the group and apparated away.

Still Flashback: Scene Change: Japanese Ministry of Magic: Holding Cells

The group arrived at the Japanese Ministry of Magic. They were escorted to a locker room by the Aurors. Auror Jenny left them with the hooded Aurors. Issei was separated from the girls.

"Please place all of your belongings in these lockers," one of the hooded Aurors said.

"How will we know our belongings won't be stolen once we place them in the lockers?" Karin asked.

"If your belongings are stolen while you're in our custody, it is our responsibility to replace them if possible. If not, we will reimburse you for their value," another hooded Auror replied. The group complied, placing their personal belongings in the lockers. Karin's locker expanded to accommodate the dragon egg. Once they were done, they were escorted to holding cells.

Once inside the holding cell, the other Aurors left, leaving the group alone with some books. After a few moments, Issei broke down and began to panic.

"OH, MAN! I'm in prison! We're never getting out!" Issei shouted, looking over at the girls, who seemed unfazed. "How are you three not worried like I am?"

"Issei. Please be quiet," Rias said.

"HOW? WE'RE IN PRISON!" Issei shouted.

"Karin, could you please?" Rias asked. Karin nodded and punched Issei in the face, slamming him into the back wall.

"Ow. What was that for?" Issei groaned.

"It was to get you to stop being an idiot," Karin said. Yuzu walked over to check Issei for any injuries from Karin's punch.

"Why? Shouldn't you be worried about being sent to prison?" Issei asked.

"If we were ordinary people… maybe. But you forget who my nii-sama is," Rias said.

"As well as who our brother is," Yuzu and Karin added in unison.

It took a few moments for Issei to realize who Rias, Yuzu, and Karin were referring to.

"Oh…" Issei muttered, finally understanding.

At that moment, Auror Jenny walked towards the holding cell, carrying a clipboard with her.

"I'm going to ask you a few questions. All of you have the right to remain silent during this questioning. I'll be doing it here since these are just general basic questions. Do you understand?" Auror Jenny asked. The group nodded. Auror Jenny placed the clipboard on the table and pressed a kanji on it. "Very well. Auror Jenny will begin the basic questioning process." She pointed at Karin. "This is prisoner number one. What is your name?"

"My name is Kurosaki Karin."

"Where is your hometown?"

Karin didn't reply.

"Where did you find the dragon egg in question?"

"I saw something crash into a nearby forest, so I went with my sister into the forest. Eventually, we found a crater with the dragon egg in it."

"What was your purpose at Pocket Monster?"

"I was there to buy supplies to take care of a dragon egg."

"This concludes the questioning of prisoner number one. Next is prisoner number two." Auror Jenny pointed at Yuzu. "What is your name?"

"My name is Kurosaki Yuzu," Yuzu answered. She answered all of Auror Jenny's questions in the same way Karin had.

"This concludes the questioning of prisoner number two. Next is prisoner number three." Auror Jenny pointed at Rias. "What is your name?"

"My name is Gremory Rias," Rias replied.

"Where is your hometown?"

"Kuoh Town."

"Where did you find the dragon egg in question?"

"I didn't find it."

"What was your purpose at Pocket Monster?"

"To pay for the necessary supplies needed to take care of a dragon egg."

"Oh. That's nice of you to do. Why are you paying for it when they could?" Auror Jenny asked. Rias didn't reply. "This concludes the questioning of prisoner number three. Next is prisoner number four." Auror Jenny pointed at Issei. "What is your name?"

"My name is Hyoudou Issei," Issei answered.

"Where is your hometown?"

"Kuoh Town."

"Where did you find the dragon egg in question?"

"I didn't find it."

"What was your purpose at Pocket Monster?"

"To help my Buchou and my friends."

"This concludes the questioning of prisoner number 4. This is Auror Jenny ending the questioning." Auror Jenny touched a rune on the clipboard, turning off the audio recording. She took the clipboard and left the prison area. The group sat in silence or read through one of the books. Twenty minutes later, they saw an out-of-breath Auror Jenny running toward their gate. She arrived at their prison cell and immediately opened the door.

"Why are you out of breath, Auror Jenny? Did something bad happen?" Rias asked, trying to suppress a smirk at Auror Jenny's clear discomfort. Auror Jenny could tell from Rias's tone that she was aware of what had happened, but chose to ask anyway, further agitating her.

"Yes, it appears that I made a mistake, and all of you are being released immediately," Auror Jenny said, her voice neutral.

"Oh? What mistake did you make? According to this Auror Handbook, you followed all the instructions to the letter," Rias remarked, teasing.

"Rias-san, that's enough," Yuzu interjected, looking at Auror Jenny. "Can you escort us back to Pocket Monster?"

"I was instructed to escort you back to Pocket Monster Center," Auror Jenny replied.

"All right, let's go," Karin said, and the group was escorted by Auror Jenny and the hooded Aurors back to the locker room to retrieve their belongings. Karin made sure the egg was still real before leaving the locker room. Once they were outside the Japanese Ministry of Magic, everyone apparated back to the Pocket Monster Center.

Flashback Still: Scene Change: Pocket Monster

Joy was sweeping the floor of her store when suddenly everyone apparated in front of her, startling her.

"HEY!" she yelled at the Aurors.

"Sorry for the abrupt entrance, but they're innocent," Auror Jenny explained.

"Wait, the story that they found the dragon egg in the forest was true?" Joy asked, still shocked.

"It was," Auror Jenny confirmed.

"I see…" Joy said, slightly nervous about the conversation she was about to have with the group.

"Well, good luck, Joy," Auror Jenny said before the Aurors apparated away. Joy sighed and turned to the group. "So, what can I help you with?"

"We'd also like some books about dragons," Yuzu added.

"We do have a few," Joy said, leading them to a bookshelf on the far side of the shop. She pulled out a few books on dragons and handed them to Yuzu. Yuzu immediately recognized the two books Iris had recommended. "Anything else I can help you with?"

"We were wondering if you sell an incubator for a dragon egg," Karin asked.

"Ah… those are difficult to come by," Joy replied.

"Why?" Yuzu asked, curious.

"Dragon incubators are usually only sold to Dragon Keepers," Joy explained.

"You said 'usually,'" Rias noted.

"I did. Dragon incubators are expensive because they have to be built by hand. Not only that, if the Dragon Keeper isn't careful when the egg hatches, the baby dragon can break the incubator. Because of this, Dragon Keepers and the Incubator Company have an agreement to reduce the price," Joy continued.

"So, how much would a Dragon Incubator cost for a regular person?" Rias asked.

"We sell a single Dragon Incubator for 250,000 ¥ [2,048.68 USD] (3)," Joy replied.

"I see…" Yuzu said, slightly nervous about the price.

"What if we added the five books to the purchase and paid 225,000 ¥ [1,843.81 USD] in cash?" Rias offered.

"CASH?" Joy was shocked. Rias opened her wallet and showed her the exact amount, not a yen more or less. "Sure," Joy said quickly. Rias placed the money on the tray, and Joy counted it. Once the transaction was completed, Joy went to the back to bring out the Dragon Incubator. The incubator was shaped like a lantern. Joy gently twisted the top of the incubator and lifted it off, carefully removing the glass around it.

"Can I get the egg, please?" Joy asked. Karin handed over the dragon egg. Joy placed it in the center of the incubator and replaced the glass top, securing it. She handed the incubator to Karin.

"Thank you," Karin said as she felt the incubator begin to warm up. "Why is it getting hot?"

"Dragon eggs need to be kept at a certain temperature at all times. The incubator is charmed to sound an alarm when the egg is about to hatch," Joy explained.

"Is there any way to return the incubator when we're done with it?" Yuzu asked.

"If the incubator remains undamaged, we'll buy it back from you for 168,750 ¥ [1,382.86 USD," Joy said.

"I see. Thank you," Yuzu and Karin said in unison. Rias cast the special teleportation seal, and the group disappeared from Pocket Monster and reappeared at Issei's house.

Still Flashback: Scene Change: Issei's House

The group arrived safely at Issei's house.

"Thank you for helping us, Rias," Yuzu said.

"Yeah, thanks for the assist," Karin added.

"No problem," Rias said with a smile.

"Rias, do you have anyone currently available?" Yuzu asked.

"Why?" Rias replied, raising an eyebrow.

"We want someone to watch the incubator just in case the egg hatches while we're in class."

"Smart idea. If you bring it to school, I can have Gasper watch over it during class."

"Good idea," Karin agreed. They turned to leave when they suddenly heard an "Uh hem."

They turned to see Rias crossing her arms, giving them a knowing look.

"Forgot something?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

Yuzu and Karin realized they hadn't handed over the photos.

"Dang it," they both muttered as they pulled out their phones. But then, a mischievous thought crossed their minds. They quickly sent all the photos to Issei and deleted them from their phones, so Issei would get a little reward for helping them while they still kept copies of the photos for themselves. They showed Rias their empty cameras, and she nodded in acceptance.

With that, they left Issei's house. Over the next few days, Yuzu and Karin would sneak the incubator into the Occult Research Club, leaving it with Gasper while they attended their classes. After school, they'd pick it up again. This routine continued for the next week.

Flashback Ended: Scene Change: Kuoh Town - Kurosaki House

"So, where is this incubator?" Ichigo asked, looking at his daughters.

"It's currently in my bag," Karin replied, just as a loud chime came from her bag.

"The egg!" everyone exclaimed.

Karin quickly pulled out the incubator and carefully removed the dragon egg, placing it on the table. Valiona and Kisara appeared behind them, intrigued by the hatching process. Slowly, cracks began to form on the surface of the egg. Soon, the top of the egg broke off, revealing a small dragon. The dragon was white with green wings, and four purple markings adorned its chest and shoulders (4).

"Rah," the baby dragon roared.

"Aaahhh!" the ladies exclaimed, adoring the baby dragon. The dragon slowly took a shaky step forward, lost balance, and fell. Yuzu reached down to help it when Kisara stopped her.

"Hey," Yuzu said, looking at Kisara.

"She needs to learn how to take care of herself," Kisara explained.

"She? How can you tell?" Yuzu asked, surprised.

"She smells vaguely like us." Yuzu decided to trust Kisara's word and turned her attention back to the baby dragon. It stood up again and walked toward Valiona. Valiona opened her arms, encouraging the baby dragon to walk toward her. It took the baby dragon a few tries before it finally made it into Valiona's arms. Valiona gently hugged the baby dragon and lifted her into the air.

"So, what are you going to name her?" Ichigo asked.

"Um…" Yuzu and Karin said, both deep in thought as they tried to come up with a name for the baby dragon.

"What about Hoshi [Star]?" Karin suggested.

"No," Ichigo replied, shaking his head.

"What about Hoshikuzu [Stardust]?" Yuzu suggested.

"Maybe… What about Xīng Chén [Stardust]?" Ichigo offered.

"Xīng Chén? What does that mean?" Karin asked, confused.

"It also means Stardust, but it's in Chinese," Ichigo explained.

"Oh," Karin said, nodding in understanding.

"I like Xīng Chén," Kisara said. Slowly, everyone else nodded in agreement.

"So welcome to the family, little Xīng Chén," Valiona said. The newly named Xīng Chén let out a small roar. Everyone spent the next few minutes taking turns holding Xīng Chén.

"Um… when is it safe for us to do the Familiar Ritual?" Karin asked.

"I'm not sure," Ichigo replied.

"Maybe we can ask Rias," Yuzu suggested. The three nodded as they continued watching Xīng Chén. A few minutes later, everyone settled back on the couch. Xīng Chén was now back in Valiona's arms. Ichigo quickly told everyone about what had happened at Yōkai Academy. Masaki glanced at the time and realized that it was starting to get late.

"Everyone, it's time to go to sleep," Masaki said. Everyone got ready to rest, while Ichigo went to call Sirzechs again.

"Hello, Ichigo. Anything else to add for the construction team?" Sirzechs asked.

"I do. First off, I'd like to change the shower system in the house," Ichigo said.

"How come?" Sirzechs inquired.

"It's because I have four people who are pure vampires…"

"Who has a weakness to pure water," Sirzechs finished, understanding.

"Correct," Ichigo confirmed.

"So what do you want me to do?" Sirzechs asked.

"I was thinking, could you add an option to the shower that allows the water to be mixed with tea leaves before it's released from the showerhead?"

"It's possible. But do you want everyone to have the same thing?"

"I don't think so. But it should be an option in the bathroom."

"I'll see what I can do about that. Anything else?"

"Yuzu requested a bigger kitchen due to more people living here."

"That's fine. Anything else for the house?"

"No, not for right now."

"While I was working on the legal paperwork necessary for the Kurosaki Clinic, a major issue came up," Sirzechs continued.

"Even bigger than creating Kurosaki Masaki, long-lost identical sister to Kurosaki Masaki?" Ichigo teased.

"Even bigger than that."

"What is it?"

"It's about the Kurosaki Clinic in Karakura Town."

"What about it?" Ichigo asked, now intrigued.

"It…"
