Tom stood by the car, his eyes narrowed as he observed at the vehicle.
16 year old Sybbie walked out of the house and her brows furrowed at the sight of her father's concentrated look. "Has the car broken down, Dad?"
He glanced up and smiled at the sight of his firstborn. "Hi, Bee." he kissed her cheek and put an arm around her. "And it seems that yes, our car has broken down."
"Can you fix it?"
He nodded. "Yeah. First, though, I have to figure out what the problem is." Chuckling, he stepped forward to look at the engine.
She stood beside him, eyes searching for anything that looked out of the ordinary. She pointed to a gear. "Look. There's a rock lodged in there. Could that be it?"
Her father's eyes moved to where she was pointing. His eyebrows rose. "Well, you're right." he took pliers out of his tool bag and yanked the rock out. "Want to try and start it?"
She nodded and got in the driver's seat to try the engine. It roared to life without an issue.
Tom beamed as she turned it off and hopped out. "Well, Sybbie. Looks like I've taught you something after all."
She rolled her eyes. "I've learned more from you than how the inter-workings of a car is supposed to look."
He grinned. "Good to know."
