Some time in 1905...

The two older Crawley sisters waited for their parents to exit the library before they went over and sat down in front of Sybil, who was playing with Isis on the carpet.

"Sybil." Mary said, getting her youngest sister's attention.

Her brown curls bounced as she looked up. "Hmm?"

"We have a question." Edith told her, glancing towards Mary before continuing. "Who is your favorite sister?"

Sybil's eyes widened. "Favorite? I don't have a favorite sister!"

Edith turned to Mary. "See? I told you."

"Well don't start with that. She very well could be lying as to not hurt your feelings." she met Sybil's eyes. "Syb. Edith and I will both admit that you are our favorite sister, so why can you not tell us?"

"Because I don't have one." she frowned. "I love you both equally, and I always will."

They both nodded, feeling slightly embarrassed and ashamed for having asked in the first place. Edith spoke up. "We will always love you too, Sybil."

Mary smiled. "That is another thing we can agree on."
