Chapter 47:
Kaien and Artoria opened their eyes to find themselves lying on a bed. Kaien sat up, removed his mask, and returned to his normal form.
"Are we back in our time?" Artoria asked.
"I'm not sure," Ichigo replied.
"Scáthach, Medea, Zealot, please respond," Ichigo thought.
"You're back," Scáthach replied.
"I am," Ichigo answered.
"When will His Holiness grace us with his presence?" Zealot asked.
"Give me a few hours. I need to take care of a few things," Ichigo replied.
"Very well," Scáthach responded.
"By the way, how many days have passed since we left?" Artoria asked.
"It's only been a day," Medea said.
"Oh, good," Ichigo said. Just then, a knock sounded at the door.
"Enter," Ichigo called. The door opened, and a female servant stepped inside.
"Amaterasu-sama has requested your presence when you are available," the servant said.
"Very well. Give us a few minutes," Ichigo replied.
The servant nodded. "Here are clothes for both of you," she said before leaving the room.
Ichigo and Artoria changed into the informal kimonos provided. Ichigo wore a navy blue kimono with hakama and a white obi belt, while Artoria donned a dark violet-black kimono with hakama and a red obi belt. They exited the room, where the servant awaited them.
"Follow me," she instructed, leading them down a familiar hallway. They arrived to find Amaterasu seated at a table with a pot of tea and three cups.
"Hello, Amaterasu-sama," they greeted.
"Ichigo, Artoria. Please, sit," Amaterasu invited. They sat in front of her, and the servant poured a cup of tea for each of them.
"You're free to go," Amaterasu said to the servant. The servant nodded and left. Amaterasu turned her attention to Ichigo and Artoria. "Is there anything you wish to discuss?"
"I do," Ichigo began. "Before I was sent back to my time, I discovered my body locked in one of these rooms, encased in a barrier." Amaterasu sighed.
"I didn't expect you to find that," she said. "Allow me to explain." She retrieved a sheet of paper and a pencil. "Have you heard of the Many Universe Theory?"
Artoria shook her head.
"The Many Universe Theory suggests that every possible outcome does indeed happen, but we can only see one version of events," Ichigo explained. Amaterasu nodded.
"Artoria is a perfect example of this. You're already aware of at least four different versions of yourself: the 'inhuman' King with Excalibur, the tyrannical King with Excalibur, the divine King with Rhongomyniad, and the demonic King with Rhongomyniad." Amaterasu said.
Artoria nodded. She remembered when Ichigo used the Chaos Piece on her, allowing her to absorb both versions of herself wielding Rhongomyniad.
"So, the Many Universe Theory is correct?" Ichigo asked.
"Not entirely," Amaterasu replied. "The multiverse can't handle all the infinite universes created by even the smallest changes. Therefore, the multiverse selects beings whose actions may alter the course of the world forever. These individuals' actions, or inactions, give rise to different universes."
"That makes sense," Artoria said.
"So, how does my body fit into all of this?" Ichigo asked.
"I'm getting there. When I sent you to assist Genryusai, I sent you to a different universe, but on the same date."
"So, you're saying that the day I arrived to see Genryusai and Aku was the same day you sent me?" Ichigo asked.
"Correct," Amaterasu confirmed. "But when you both entered that time portal, you traveled back in time without a tether."
"A tether?" Ichigo questioned.
"When we send someone back in time, we establish a magical tether to track the necessary set of circumstances that led to their time travel. The tether is stable for up to seven years," Amaterasu explained.
"Which is why Mórrígan needed your help to extend the tether to fourteen years."
"Correct," Amaterasu said.
"But there was no tether when Genryusai and I entered the time portal to return to his era," Ichigo pointed out.
"But I did give you one," Amaterasu said. "I kissed your forehead, bestowing upon you a magical tether for the previous seven years."
"What about the rest of the time?" Amaterasu sighed.
"We had to use a riskier method."
"What method?" Artoria asked.
"I wiped my memory of you, hoping to avoid endangering the fate of others."
"I see..." Ichigo murmured. "So, what happened to my body?"
"Your body was placed in a pocket dimension, where time flowed so slowly that it would take centuries before a single second passed for you. From there, you slowly traveled to the future."
"Why?" Artoria asked.
"Sending someone forward in time can destabilize other timelines and send ripples through the multiverse."
"And I assume you used the same method for us?" Ichigo asked.
"Indeed. This time, I had the entire tether available to ensure you arrived in the correct universe," Amaterasu confirmed.
"I see…" Ichigo said.
"Anyway, I promised to grant you a reward for your efforts," Amaterasu said. "Yhwach, would you please give me an unnamed Schrift?"
"Very well," Yhwach replied from Ichigo's mindscape, and a white orb of energy appeared in front of him. Amaterasu took the Schrift and focused on it for a moment. The orb began to glow with golden-red dots. She gently placed the Schrift back on the table.
"This Schrift is filled with my blessing," Amaterasu began. "When activated, it summons a replica of Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi." She raised her hand, and a nodachi appeared. Its blade was long and silver, with a charred black edge. The tsuba was simple, and the handle was crimson, like the sun. The weapon sizzled as a small trail of smoke curled upward.
"This is my Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi, your replica will be similar to this," Amaterasu said, flicking her hand to return the sword to its place. "You will gain a few abilities. The first is that with this Schrift active, you slowly gain power as the sun rises, reaching full strength at noon. As the sun sets, your power gradually wanes. The second ability concerns the Ame no Murakumo no Tsurugi. The heat of the sun, at 5,505C (9,941F), is concentrated along the edge of the blade. It neither burns nor erupts, but anything it touches is completely eradicated."
Amaterasu continued, "You can also harness Divine Energy and wield my signature Black Flames."
"Wait… Divine Energy?" Ichigo questioned.
"Gods and goddesses possess their own energy, different from humans," Amaterasu began. "It's possible to harm gods and goddesses with reiatsu, but using Divine Energy makes it much more effective."
"I see… Thank you for the ability," Ichigo said, grateful.
"No problem, Ichigo," Amaterasu replied. "Now, where was I…" She took a moment to sip her tea. "Ah, I remember now. The last ability is that your body becomes enveloped by the sun. While this ability is active, it becomes impossible for anyone to even touch you. However, if not properly controlled, it could damage the environment around you."
"I see…" Ichigo said, picking up the Schrift. "I, Kurosaki Ichigo, bestow upon myself this Schrift." He said as he absorbed it into his body. Immediately, he felt as though his entire being was on fire. The Schrift I: The Ignatius began to merge with the new Schrift.
"Grr…" Ichigo growled, struggling to withstand the intense heat. Eventually, the fiery sensation subsided.
"Ichigo, are you okay?" Artoria asked, noticing the sweat on his forehead.
"I'm… fine," Ichigo replied. Amaterasu smiled.
"Those few who've earned the honor of my blessing have commented on the intense heat when it's first bestowed upon them," she explained.
"I see…" Ichigo said. "I'll call this Schrift T: The Taiyō [Sun," he declared. Amaterasu continued to smile.
"When you return to Britain, Mórrígan will contact you regarding her part of the deal," Amaterasu said.
"Very well," Ichigo responded.
"Anything else I can do for you?" she asked.
"Can you send us to Yasaka's office?" Ichigo requested.
"Very well." The nearby shōji glowed golden as Ichigo and Artoria stood up.
"Thank you, Amaterasu-sama," they said, sliding the shōji open and entering Yasaka's office.
Scene Change: Yasaka's Office
Yasaka sat in her office, reading reports on the Yōkai population.
"Hm… Mikogami sent me and the rest of the Yōkai in Ichigo's peerage an invitation to the annual School Festival. Maybe I should bring this to Ichigo," Yasaka thought. "Imagine the students' reaction to seeing Akasha at the festival." A mischievous grin spread across her face.
Suddenly, the shōji door began to glow golden. Yasaka straightened her desk as she prepared for her guests. The door slid open, and Ichigo and Artoria entered her office.
"Ichigo. Artoria. What are you two doing here? Last I heard both of you were in Britain."
"We were, but Amaterasu sent us on a mission," Artoria replied.
"I see…" Yasaka said, turning to Ichigo.
"I need to have a private word with Yasaka," Ichigo said. Artoria gave him a puzzled look.
"Okay, I'll be outside," she said, standing up and leaving the office.
"Seal this room," Ichigo commanded Yasaka through the peerage link. Yasaka raised her hand, sealing the room. Ichigo closed his end of the link, ensuring no one could overhear them.
"Yasaka. Who was Kunou's father?" Ichigo asked. Yasaka blushed lightly.
"Why do you ask?" she inquired.
"I know who Kunou's father is," Ichigo replied.
"Huh?" Yasaka's confusion grew. A few weeks after Yasaka became pregnant, she sent people to search for her one-night stand, but he was nowhere to be found. She had raised Kunou alone. "Ichigo, you better not be lying to me," she growled.
"Then tell me what you remember," Ichigo said.
"Kunou's father was a Japanese man with black hair and matching black eyes. He has—" Yasaka's eyes widened mid-sentence.
"He looked like this…" Ichigo's face transformed into Kaien Shiba's. Yasaka's eyes grew wide in shock.
"On that night, you were in your Sayaka disguise, but with longer hair. You were dressed in a pink yukata. You sat on a bench, crying and drinking," Ichigo recalled.
"But… but that means…" Yasaka stammered.
"Kunou is my biological daughter," Ichigo stated as he transformed back.
"So… what should we do about this?" Yasaka asked.
"Well… we could tell everyone the truth, tell Kunou the truth, or keep silent about it," Ichigo suggested.
"I honestly want to tell Kunou," Yasaka admitted. "When she was born, her fur, hair, and eyes weren't that color. I used blood magic to create an illusion for everyone to see."
"I see…" Ichigo said. "I believe we should tell Kunou the truth, and then decide what to do from there."
"I agree." Yasaka stood up from her desk and walked toward a set of shōji. She unsealed the door and slid it open. "Bring Kunou to my office immediately," she ordered one of her guards.
"Yes, Yasaka-hime-sama," the guard saluted before running to retrieve Kunou. Yasaka didn't have to wait long before the guard returned with Kunou riding on his shoulders, enjoying the ride. The guard knelt, allowing Kunou to hop off.
"Mama!" Kunou shouted, rushing into Yasaka's arms.
"Hello, Kunou," Yasaka replied, picking her up and bringing her into the office. She sealed the door behind her.
"Papa!" Kunou shouted as she ran to Ichigo.
"Hello, Kunou," Ichigo greeted, picking her up.
"Ichigo put her down," Yasaka said. Ichigo placed Kunou gently in a nearby chair.
"Kunou, we need to have a serious talk," Yasaka began.
"Did I do something wrong?" Kunou asked, her voice tinged with worry.
"No, it's not you," Yasaka reassured her, glancing at Ichigo.
"Yesterday, Amaterasu-sama sent me on a mission. She sent me back in time."
"Just like The Girl Who Leapt Through Time?" Kunou asked. Ichigo cracked a smile.
"Something like that," Ichigo replied. "Now, I went back in time, and I found out who your father is." Kunou's eyes widened.
"Really?"
"I did. I know him."
"Can I meet him?" Kunou asked eagerly.
"Are you sure, Kunou? Do you want to meet your biological father?" Ichigo asked.
"Bio-ical?" Kunou repeated.
"It means your father by blood," Ichigo explained.
"Oh. I do! I want to ask him why he abandoned me and Kaa-san," Kunou said. Ichigo sighed.
"When I went back in time, I somehow met your mother," Ichigo said.
"You're my real father?" Kunou gasped.
"I am," Ichigo confirmed. Kunou looked at Yasaka.
"Is Papa lying?"
"Honey, he isn't," Yasaka reassured her. Kunou tackled Ichigo, crying as she hugged him tightly. Ichigo gently embraced her in return. Yasaka moved closer and joined in their hug. Kunou continued to cry, tears of joy. Eventually, her sobbing subsided.
"But if you're my real papa, why don't I look like you?" she asked.
"I used magic to hide your real features," Yasaka admitted. She bit her finger, causing a drop of blood to spill out. Using her blood, she drew the kanji 公演 [Reveal] on Kunou's forehead. Suddenly, Kunou's golden blond hair, foxtails, and ears darkened to an orange blonde. Her golden eyes turned a light brown. Yasaka showed her a mirror. Kunou gasped.
"I look like a mix of Kaa-san and Papa," she said.
"Indeed, you do," Ichigo replied.
"Now that I know who Kunou's real father is, the coloration makes sense," Yasaka said.
"Now then, should we reveal this to everyone or just the peerage?" Ichigo asked.
"I feel this should remain a secret from the general public," Yasaka suggested.
"I agree," Ichigo said. "The golden blonde and orange blonde are distinctly different physical traits. Fewer people would make the connection that they belong to one person."
"What about the peerage?" Yasaka asked.
"I think we should do it in a few days," Ichigo said.
"A few days?"
"Yes. After this, I need to go back to Britain for a meeting," Ichigo explained.
"I see…" Yasaka said. She used her bloodied finger and drew 幻想 [Illusion] on Kunou's forehead, hiding her true appearance again. "Is there anything else?"
"Nope. See you in a few days," Ichigo said as Yasaka unsealed her office. Ichigo walked out to find Artoria standing guard outside. She followed behind him.
"So where are we going?" she asked.
"Back to Britain. We need to say hi to everyone," Ichigo said. Artoria groaned, remembering her conversation with Fleur. Ichigo and Artoria left Yasaka's shrine and found an empty alleyway.
"So how are we getting back to London?" Artoria asked.
"We're going to use Garganta," Ichigo said as he summoned his car. Ichigo and Artoria entered the car. Ichigo opened a Garganta as they drove inside.
Scene Change: London: Hotel 41
(Everything is in English)
Ichigo and Artoria drove out of the Garganta to an abandoned alleyway. They exited the car. Ichigo sent the car back to his mindscape. Ichigo called for a taxi and had it drive them back to Hotel 41. After paying for the taxi, Ichigo and Artoria returned to their hotel room. Upon opening the door, they could see Scáthach and Medea were watching TV, while Zealot stood by the window, looking out.
"Hello, everyone. It's been a long time," Ichigo said.
"And a short time for us," Medea replied.
"Are you all busy?" Ichigo asked.
"Not really," Scáthach said.
"We've just been watching TV," Medea added.
"Zealot has been patiently waiting for your return," Zealot said.
"What are you planning to do?" Scáthach asked.
"When I was in 1994, I attended a school called Hogwarts."
"Hogwarts? That's an unusual name," Medea commented.
"Indeed," Artoria said. "So, I may have told my students that I would meet them in the magical district today," Ichigo said. "Do you want to come along?"
"Sure," Scáthach replied.
"I might be able to find some ingredients for my potions," Medea said.
"Zealot will follow," Zealot added.
"All right then," Ichigo said as they left their hotel room. Ichigo called for another Taxi which took them to the Leaky Cauldron. Ichigo summoned two wizard robes and handed one to Zealot and Scáthach.
"Put these on," Ichigo instructed.
"Zealot will remain in his holiness's shadow," Zealot said, disappearing into Ichigo's shadow. Scáthach shrugged and put on the robe. Medea and Artoria summoned their cloaks, and Ichigo did the same. Ichigo changed his face into his Kaien disguise. Ichigo, Artoria, Scáthach, and Medea entered the pub. It looked nearly the same as it had years ago, though it had been nearly a decade and a half since Ichigo and Artoria last visited. Ichigo led the group out of the Leaky Cauldron and into a small, walled courtyard with a dustbin. Ichigo pulled out Mysteria in wand form and tapped a brick wall. Slowly, the wall unraveled to reveal a large archway.
"Welcome to Diagon Alley," Ichigo whispered. Scáthach, Medea, and Zealot marveled at the shops as they walked through. Ichigo moved ahead, and Artoria gently nudged the distracted Scáthach and Medea. They quickly caught up with him. Ichigo entered Gringotts, and Scáthach, Medea, and Zealot stared at the interesting building. The group waited in line for a few minutes.
"NEXT!" one of the goblin tellers shouted. Ichigo and his group walked up to the teller.
": May your enemies fear your wrath. :" Ichigo greeted in the Goblin Language. The goblin was shocked.
": May your vault continue to flow with gold and good fortune. :" The goblin replied quickly. "What can Gringotts do for you, wizard?"
"I have a private meeting under the name Kaien and Artoria Shiba," Ichigo said. The goblin's eyes widened.
"Very well. Allow me to escort you and your guests to the meeting room." The goblin led them down a hallway. As they walked, Ichigo shifted his face back to Kaien. Soon, they arrived at a closed room. A plaque on the door read:
"Private meeting in progress." The goblin opened the door for them, and they stepped inside. The room was packed. Many of Ichigo's students were there, all much older and more mature than before. A few children were present as well.
"Kaien-sensei!" they shouted in shock.
"How do you look the same as before you left?" Hermione asked. Ichigo smiled.
"Allow me to sit down, and I'll explain," Ichigo said. He and his group sat down.
"Now then, allow me to explain," Ichigo began. "Artoria and I were sent back in time to 1994."
"What? Time-turners can only go back a few hours. How were you two able to go back that far?" one of the students asked, bewildered.
"Divine intervention," Artoria said.
"Harry's fate wasn't going the way it was supposed to, so we were sent back in time to fix it," Ichigo explained.
"I see…" Daphne responded.
"I was already born before 1994, so I had to go under a pseudonym," Ichigo added.
"So what is your real name?" Harry asked.
"My name is Ichigo Kurosaki," Ichigo said, reverting to his normal form.
"Why does that name sound familiar?" Hermione thought.
"What about Artoria?" Fred asked, turning to her. The adults watched as Artoria chuckled.
"While my first name is indeed Artoria, my last name is something else," she said, then turned toward them. "Are you sure you can handle the revelation that my last name brings?"
"Are you saying you're related to Voldemort or one of us?" Fred joked. Alicia smacked him in the gut with her elbow. Artoria smiled.
"If I were related to any of you, it would most likely be Harry," Artoria said. Harry looked shocked. "But don't worry, my last name isn't Potter."
"Then what is it that would shock us?" Fleur asked, magic swirling gently around her. Ichigo could feel the magic becoming excited.
"I am Artoria Pendragon, King of Knights and Once and Future King of Britannia," she declared.
"But… that can't be. You would be over 2000 years old," Hermione said, her voice filled with disbelief. The others questioned Artoria's claim.
"Outrageous, it may seem, but it is the truth," someone said, as the door opened. King Ragnok stepped inside. "When we first met, and she introduced herself with that name, we performed a blood test to confirm her identity."
"What about the others?" Daphne asked, her gaze shifting to Scáthach, who took off her robe.
"My name is Scáthach, Queen of the Land of Shadows," she said.
"Wait… the same Scáthach from the Ulster Cycle?" Hermione asked.
"The very same," Scáthach replied.
"To think we've just met two legendary heroes," Hermione muttered.
"But how are you still here?" Alicia asked.
"They're servants," Fleur said, drawing everyone's attention. "The world is much bigger than we think. Wizards and witches aren't the only ones with magic. There's another group that calls themselves Magus. They're a smaller group of magic users who use magic in a completely different way," Fleur explained.
"Indeed. The Magus created an object called the Holy Grail," Ichigo added. "An object that can grant any wish if fueled with enough magical energy. To fill the Holy Grail, seven servants of different classes are summoned to fight each other to the death. This event has happened five times. In the end, I prevented them from fading away."
"So, what about you?" Harry asked, looking at the last person.
"I am Medea, Witch of Colchis," she said as she lowered her hood, revealing her elven ears. Hermione's eyes widened in recognition.
"Wait… weren't you a member of the Argonauts?" Hermione asked.
"I was forced to be a member of the Argonauts," Medea replied.
"Huh? None of the books mentioned that you were forced," Hermione said, confused.
"That's because I was drugged by that stupid bimbo to fall in love with Jason," Medea growled.
"Long story short, Aphrodite mind-controlled Medea to fall for Jason, which caused her to betray her people and help him obtain the Golden Fleece. When Jason betrayed her, no one understood why she did it. She went crazy, wanting to live her own life and seek revenge on the Greek Gods," Ichigo explained.
"So, the Greek Gods are still around?" Victor asked.
"They are, and so are many others," Luna added. "The Shinto gods, the Norse gods, the Olympians, and a few lonely Celtic ones."
"That reminds me, I still need to talk with Ankou and Mórrígan," Ichigo thought.
"Ichigo, when you're done, I need to see you in my office," Ragnok said before exiting.
"Let's continue this meeting at my house," Harry offered.
"Sure," Ichigo replied. Harry and everyone left Gringotts and used a Portkey to travel to Potter Manor.
Upon entering the manor, Ichigo heard Yugi's voice in Japanese.
"I fuse my Buster Blader and my Dark Magician in my hand to Fusion Summon… DARK PALADIN!" Yugi yelled as dust billowed up, obscuring Ichigo's view. Suddenly, something parted the dust cloud, and Dark Paladin stood before them. "I activate Dark Paladin's effect," Yugi continued. "He gains 500 attack points for each Dragon on your side of the field and in the graveyard," Yugi said, as Dark Paladin's attack points soared from 2900 to 7900. "Now, Dark Paladin, attack Ichigo's Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!" Yugi declared.
"It seems my duel with Yugi is still common knowledge," Ichigo joked. The children turned toward him in surprise.
"It's Ichigo Kurosaki!" the kids yelled. Hermione slapped her forehead.
"That's why I remember that name," Hermione muttered. The other students watched the recording.
Dark Paladin charged at Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, which countered by charging up its attack and firing back. Upon impact, both attacks kicked up dust, obscuring their view.
"I've won!" Yugi exclaimed.
"Yugi, don't be so sure," Ichigo replied. Yugi looked up in shock as Dark Paladin was now blocking the attack from Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon.
"What!?" Yugi exclaimed.
"I activate the effect of Honest," Ichigo said, revealing a white angelic monster card from his hand. "During either player's Damage Step, when a LIGHT monster I control battles, I can send this card to the Graveyard; that monster gains ATK equal to the ATK of the opponent's monster it's battling, until the end of this turn."
"What!" Yugi said, noticing that Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon's attack points had jumped from 4500 to 12400.
"Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, finish this duel with White Obliteration Burst!" Ichigo shouted as the dragon unleashed its full strength, destroying Dark Paladin.
"Wait," Fred said. "Didn't that look like Kisara?"
Fleur, Victor, Harry, and Hermione turned to look at Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon.
"You're right," Harry said.
"Kisara herself was the inspiration for that card," Ichigo revealed.
"Wait… inspiration?" Hermione questioned.
"Kisara. Valiona. Do you want to greet the kids?" Ichigo asked.
"Sure," Kisara replied.
"Let's go first. Let's see if they remember what you and Kisara taught them about dragons," Valiona said with a smirk. Ichigo's body began to glow black as Valiona shifted into her dragon form. She let out a fearsome roar, startling everyone. The adults quickly moved in front of the children, wands raised at the dragon.
"That's Red-Eyes Black Dragon!" one of the kids exclaimed. Ichigo and Artoria shared a smirk.
"Wait…" Hermione began.
Ichigo's body glowed white as Kisara appeared in her human form. Valiona swiftly joined her in her human form as well.
"It's the Maiden with the Eyes of Blue and the Maiden with the Eyes of Red!" the kids shouted in unison. Ichigo smiled.
"Kisara and Valiona were the inspiration for the decks," Ichigo said. He summoned two of his decks and handed them to Kisara and Valiona.
"While the adults talk, let's entertain you, boys and girls, with some duels," Kisara announced.
"Yay!" the kids cheered as they ran upstairs. Ichigo turned to the shocked adults.
"While my dragons entertain the children for now, let's catch up," Ichigo said.
"Sure," Harry responded. Everyone gathered in the living room and began to share their stories with Ichigo.
After Victor graduated from Durmstrang, he transferred from the Bulgarian Quidditch Team to the Irish Quidditch Team as part of a deal. In exchange, he gained temporary British citizenship, the right to live in Britain, and the opportunity to complete his Mastery in Britain. Victor used this chance to continue his relationship with Luna. At Luna's graduation ceremony, Victor proposed to her on stage, and she happily accepted. They soon had three children: the eldest daughter, Pandora, the middle son, Kaien, and the youngest, Selene. Luna continued to write for the Quibbler, which had evolved from a joke magazine into a legitimate newspaper.
Fred and George also continued their relationships with Alicia and Angelina during their final year at Hogwarts. They proposed to their respective girlfriends at graduation. Angelina and Alicia pranked them by pretending to turn them down. After graduation, they used the capital Ichigo gave them to start their own joke shop, Weasley Wizard Wheezes. Fred and George ran the shop, while Angelina and Alicia played professional Quidditch for a few years. Angelina eventually retired from professional Quidditch and helped at the joke shop, while Alicia replaced Madam Hooch as the Quidditch instructor. Fred and Angelina had a daughter named Roxanne, while George and Alicia had twin boys named Gideon Jr. and Fabian Jr., in honor of their uncles.
Harry, Hermione, and Daphne continued their relationship, using it to bridge the rivalry between Gryffindor and Slytherin. All three were made prefects of their respective houses and soon graduated from Hogwarts. Hermione spent a few years in the non-magical world, earning master's degrees in both History and Music. She then returned to Hogwarts and replaced Professor Burbage as the Muggle Studies teacher, renaming the subject Non-magical Studies. Daphne became a Potion Mistress, surpassing Professor Snape's record as the youngest Potion Master. She later joined Hermione at Hogwarts, teaching Potions and starting a class on Pureblood culture. Pureblood Studies soon became a mandatory class for students from certain backgrounds. Harry was drawn into the Wizengamot, where he worked to remove biased laws, create protections for magical creatures, and push the Wizarding World toward progress. He had two children with Hermione—Lily Luna and James Sirius—and two with Daphne—Corvus and Leo.
Then it was Fleur's turn. She sighed before beginning her story.
"After I graduated from Beauxbatons, I had a huge argument with my family. My parents didn't want me to go out and explore the world, but I went anyway," Fleur started. "I traveled all over the world, learning all kinds of magical and non-magical arts. I trained in the way of the rapier, the sword, savate, karate, capoeira, and more. During my travels, I encountered a group of vampires attacking a village. Armed with my sword and wand, I charged in to deal with them. That's when I met a woman named Bazett Fraga McRemitz." Fleur continued. "She was a magus, and she told me about the Magus. I traveled with her for a while, and we returned to Britain after she got a call from someone named Kotomine. She briefly explained the Holy Grail War to me and then left."
She turned to Artoria. "Despite knowing who you are, I still wish to challenge you," Fleur said.
Artoria sighed. "Very well," she said, standing up. Everyone turned to Ichigo, confused.
"Long story short, Fleur had feelings for me, though I didn't know if they'd still be there now. I challenged her to become the strongest she could be and then challenged Artoria. If she wins, I'll acknowledge her feelings for me, and we'll begin to date," Ichigo explained.
Harry led them outside to an empty courtyard. Both duelists stood ten meters apart, with Harry standing between them.
"What rules will we follow for this duel?" Harry asked.
"No spells categorized as Dark Magic by the International Confederation of Wizards," Fleur declared.
"Fine," Artoria agreed.
"Very well then," Harry said as dueling wards were cast around them. "Duelists, are you ready?" he asked.
Artoria nodded, summoning her wand, and Fleur nodded as well, tossing a silver cylindrical case to the side.
With a shared glance, they drew their wands.
"Begin!" Harry shouted.
"Globus Igneus [Fireball," Fleur cast silently, sending multiple fireballs at Artoria.
"Ventus Forum [Wind Strike," Artoria cast silently, sweeping her wand down like a sword. Compressed air shot from her wand, colliding with Fleur's fireballs and causing an explosion. The ground beneath Artoria rumbled. She leaped out of the way just as stalagmites erupted from the earth. The dust cleared to reveal Fleur as the one who cast the spell.
"Hastam Terrae [Earth Spear," Fleur cast, causing the ground to shake. Artoria jumped into the air as more stalagmites shot up from the ground. The entire area around her became covered with jagged stone.
"Depulso!" Fleur shouted, dislodging all the stalagmites, and sending them flying toward Artoria.
"Ventus Forum [Wind Strike," Artoria cast, swiping her wand down again. The compressed air barely scratched the flying stalagmites. Artoria smiled as she swapped her wand for Excalibur. Her sword easily cleaved through the stone, and the rubble began to fall. Fleur pointed at the fallen rocks.
"Saxa animalibus [Rocks to Animals," Fleur cast silently. The stone rubble transformed into hawks made of stone. With a flick of her wand, the flock flew at Artoria.
Artoria smirked, slicing through them with her sword. "What can I do?" Fleur thought, using the hawks to distract Artoria. "This is going to be a little reckless, but I've got to give it a shot." Fleur began waving her wand around her forehead. The crushed rocks and dust swirled around her.
"Tempestas Harenae. [Sandstorm," Fleur cast. The crushed rocks transformed into sand, mixing with the stone dust. The remaining stone hawks flew into the sandstorm. Artoria growled as the sandstorm swirled into her eyes, using her left hand to shield them.
"Absconditos harenarum [Hidden Sand," Fleur silently cast, hiding herself in the swirling sand. Artoria closed her eyes and grasped Excalibur with both hands. Magical energy began to gather in the sword.
"Can't let that happen," Fleur thought from her hidden position. She looked up at the stone hawks above the sandstorm. "Attack her," she commanded the hawks. The stone creatures dove toward Artoria, striking at her. Artoria growled, ignoring the hawks as more energy gathered in her sword.
"She's ignoring my attacks," Fleur realized. Suddenly, she understood Artoria's strategy. "If she releases that much energy, she could easily destroy my sandstorm. It looks like Artoria gets what she wants, but not in the way she thinks." White, long, scaly wings burst from Fleur's shoulders. With a few powerful flaps, she soared into the air. She attacked Artoria with a rapid combination of punches and kicks. Artoria was forced to release her grip on Excalibur and fight Fleur in close combat.
The sandstorm slowly dissipated, revealing two tired fighters. Both were bruised; their faces marked with the aftermath of their battle.
"I think it's time for one final attack," Fleur said.
"Agreed," Artoria replied, extending her hand. Excalibur shot up from the ground and back into her grasp. The magical energy gathered in her sword rapidly.
"Accio Fragarach," Fleur cast silently. A lead ball shot from a silver canister, floating above Fleur's right fist as magical energy surrounded it.
"Answerer," Fleur whispered. The lead ball began to glow, transforming into a metallic ring with inscribed runes. A spear tip extended from the ball, piercing through the ring.
"Artoria!" Scáthach's voice echoed through the peerage link.
"Yes?" Artoria responded, still focused on gathering energy.
"Make sure Avalon is active," Scáthach warned.
"Very well," Artoria replied mentally.
"I enter the Everdistant Utopia. The tranquil domain of the fairies, which keeps out all filth and protects the tranquil King…Avalon!" Artoria chanted inwardly. Avalon, the scabbard, dissolved into countless tiny particles around her. Fleur remained unaware.
"Excalibur!" Artoria shouted, swinging her sword down with immense force, sending a black and red energy beam toward Fleur.
"Fragarach!" Fleur yelled, punching forward with her right fist. A violet beam shot from the spear tip, aiming directly at Artoria's chest. Fleur was shocked as the beam was blocked by something. Artoria's attack narrowly missed Fleur, easily destroying the dueling barrier in the process. Artoria redirected the blast toward the sky. The wards above Potter Manor glowed black, absorbing the excess energy. The lead ball fell to the ground with a loud thump, and Fleur collapsed from magical exhaustion.
Artoria glanced at Scáthach.
"You recognized her attack?" Artoria asked.
"I did," Scáthach replied. "That was a Noble Phantasm, Fragarach. It's a very dangerous ability. Fragarach can only activate when your opponent begins to use their strongest move. It reverses time and pierces a hole in their heart before they can even release the attack."
"I see…" Artoria said, nodding thoughtfully.
"Let's get her inside," Ichigo said, lifting Fleur gently into a princess carry.
"I'll take her to her room," Harry offered, leading them to Fleur's bedroom in Potter Manor. Ichigo lowered her onto the bed and began casting various medical diagnostic spells on her.
"How is she?" Artoria asked.
"Physically, she's fine, but her magic is mostly depleted," Ichigo replied.
"A good night's rest should take care of her magical exhaustion," Hermione added. The others nodded and began to leave the room.
"I'll keep an eye on her," Ichigo said. Artoria glanced at him.
"You're going to talk to her," Artoria mentally replied.
"I am," Ichigo replied. Artoria sighed.
"I'll keep them distracted as much as I can," she said, closing the door behind her. Ichigo cast a privacy bubble around the room.
"You can stop pretending," Ichigo said. Fleur opened her eyes and glanced at him.
"How did you know I was pretending?" Fleur asked.
"I was the one who performed the medical diagnostics," Ichigo answered.
"But my spells should have fooled those diagnostic spells," Fleur countered.
"Did you expect me to only use Western medical spells?" Ichigo replied.
"I forgot about that," Fleur admitted.
"Let's get back on track," Ichigo said.
"I guess I lost my chance to be with you," Fleur sighed. Ichigo sat down beside her on the bed.
"It's my fault," Ichigo said. Fleur opened her mouth to argue, but Ichigo continued. "I wasn't clear with you. We challenged you, hoping you wouldn't accept. But you did. I can see you're much stronger now… and it's because of us that you had to suffer for so long." Fleur lay silent.
"Fleur, I'll be blunt. If you want to pursue a relationship with me, you should know you won't be the only one in it. You've seen Artoria and Scáthach," Ichigo said, standing up from the bed. "Stay here and rest. Take some time to decide what you want to do." He left the room.
Ichigo walked downstairs and saw everyone gathered for lunch. He recognized one of the house elves serving dinner.
"It's been a long time, Kreacher," Ichigo said. The house-elf turned to him.
"Stranger knows Kreacher, but Kreacher doesn't know Stranger," Kreacher replied.
"You met Kreacher?" Harry asked, noticing their conversation.
"He did. He met me as Kaien Shiba," Ichigo explained. Kreacher's eyes widened.
"What did Kreacher call Kaien Shiba before Kreacher left the room?" Kreacher asked.
"Kreacher!" Harry yelled, but Ichigo stopped him.
"We didn't meet in a room. We met in a cave, and Kreacher called me 'Master's Savior,'" Ichigo replied. Kreacher fell to his knees and bowed deeply.
"Kreacher is sorry. Kreacher needed to be sure the person was indeed Master's Savior," Kreacher said.
"Um…what?" Harry asked, looking confused.
"I'd like to know what Kreacher meant as well," came a voice from behind them. Sirius Black had just arrived.
"Sirius," Harry said, hugging his godfather. Sirius returned the hug.
"So, you're Kaien Shiba, right?" Sirius asked.
"That was the identity I had to assume to prevent a paradox," Ichigo explained.
"I see…" Sirius said, processing the information. "What did you do to earn that title from Kreacher?"
"It's about someone named Regulus Arcturus Black," Ichigo said. Harry recalled seeing that name in the Black Family Tree.
"Reg?" Sirius whispered.
"Yes," Ichigo said. "He's your brother, right?" he guessed.
"He is," Sirius confirmed. "But he became a Death Eater... I heard he died at some point, but I never learned how or why."
"Do you wish to see?" Ichigo asked. Sirius turned to him. "Do you wish to see Regulus's final moments?"
"I... do. I do," Sirius said.
"So do I," Harry added.
"Very well," Ichigo said. "Let's move to a more private setting."
"Let's go to my office," Harry suggested. Sirius and Ichigo followed him. They soon arrived at a door without a doorknob. Harry pressed his ring against the door, and it opened on its own. Harry entered his office, followed by Ichigo and Sirius, then closed the door behind them.
"Before I show you two, I need an oath from you," Ichigo said, pulling out a sheet of paper and scribbling something down. He handed it to Harry and Sirius.
"I, Sirius Orion Black, swear on my life, magic, and my soul that all information Ichigo Kurosaki reveals to me will not be spoken of, written down, or mentioned in any shape or form to anyone else without the permission of Ichigo Kurosaki. So mote it be." Sirius spoke the oath. A golden light surrounded him briefly as his magic enforced the vow.
"I, Harry James Potter, Lord of House Potter and House Black, swear on my life, magic, and my soul that all information Ichigo Kurosaki reveals to me will not be spoken of, written down, or mentioned in any shape or form to anyone else without the permission of Ichigo Kurosaki. So mote it be." Harry swore the same oath, glowing golden for a moment as his magic sealed it.
"I, Ichigo Kurosaki, swear on my life, magic, and my soul that the memory I will show to Sirius Orion Black and Harry James Potter is genuine and has not been altered in any way," Ichigo declared. His own magic swirled around him, affirming the oath.
"I want both of you to perform Legilimency on me," Ichigo instructed. "I will create a path for you to follow. Do not stray from it," he warned. Harry and Sirius nodded, each pointing their wands at Ichigo.
"Legilimens," they both said as they entered Ichigo's mind. Ichigo guided them to the memory in the cave. They saw him enter the cave, retrieve the fake locket, and then watched in horror as the inferi were unleashed. They were shocked to see how easily Ichigo destroyed them, and they saw the joy in the souls of the dead as the inferi were vanquished.
They soon saw Regulus's ghost, and Sirius's tears began to fall as he realized what his brother had done. The three watched as Ichigo removed the soul fragment from the locket and performed Konsō on Regulus.
Suddenly, they were pushed out of Ichigo's mind.
Sirius collapsed onto one of the nearby couches.
"I need something to drink," Sirius muttered. Harry pulled out a bottle of Firewhisky and three glasses. He poured three fingers of whisky into each glass and handed them to Sirius and Ichigo.
"To Regulus, for helping defeat Voldemort," Sirius said, raising his glass. They all clinked glasses and drank. Harry and Sirius exhaled small streams of fire.
Sirius turned to Ichigo. "Thank you for showing us that," he said.
"No problem," Ichigo replied.
"The House of Black owes you a debt of gratitude," Sirius said.
"You don't need to," Ichigo responded.
"I agree with Sirius," Harry added. "Your actions freed Regulus's soul from eternal suffering and showed that he died a hero."
Ichigo sighed. "Very well. What do you propose?"
"An alliance," Harry said.
"I, Harry James Potter, Lord of House Potter and House Black, hereby acknowledge a debt of gratitude to Ichigo Kurosaki. To repay this debt, the Ancient and Most Noble House of Potter and the Ancient and Most Noble House of Black offer you an alliance as allies. Cry for aid, and I shall hear you and give aid, even if it costs me my last breath. Seek succor, and you shall have it from me, no matter the reason. Request sanctuary, and it shall be granted, regardless of your foe," Harry said as he extended his hand for a handshake. Two streams of magic wrapped around his hand.
"I, Ichigo Kurosaki, Heir of Clan Kurosaki, Heir of Clan Shiba, Heir of Clan Yamamoto, hereby acknowledge the debt of gratitude and accept the alliance with the Ancient and Most Noble House of Potter and the Ancient and Most Noble House of Black. Cry for aid, and I shall hear you and give aid, even if it costs me my last breath. Seek succor, and you shall have it from me, no matter the reason. If all the universe is arrayed against you, know that I shall guard your back. Request sanctuary, and it shall be granted, regardless of your foe," Ichigo swore as he extended his hand. Three strands of magic wrapped around his arm. The two shook hands, and the streams of magic intertwined, sealing the alliance.
"Let's go down for dinner before everyone starts asking questions," Ichigo suggested. Harry and Sirius nodded, and they all headed downstairs to join the others.
During dinner, Harry offered Ichigo and his companions a room for the remainder of their time in Britain. At first, Ichigo tried to politely decline, but Harry countered by mentioning the newly formed alliance. Ichigo sighed and accepted Harry's offer.
After dinner, Harry handed each of them a necklace bearing the Coat of Arms of House Potter and House Black.
"This is a portkey that will take you either to Potter Manor or Black Manor," Harry explained. "To activate it, just say 'To the Pottery' for Potter Manor or 'To the Doghouse' for Black Manor."
"Thank you," Ichigo said, and everyone took a portkey. "Kreacher will show you to your rooms," Harry added.
"We will all sleep together," Artoria said.
"Very well then," Harry agreed, turning to Kreacher. "Take them to one of the larger guest rooms."
"Yes, Master," Kreacher replied, leading them to their guest room. The room was large, with a mahogany four-poster bed, large enough to fit them all comfortably, its light golden-red curtains creating a warm glow. All their belongings from Hotel 41 were already placed on a nearby dresser. They explored the room and quickly discovered a luxurious bathroom with an enormous bathtub, equipped with many different buttons. They spent an hour enjoying the bathtub's features. Afterward, a tired Kisara and Valiona joined them.
Eventually, they all went to bed. Ichigo took the middle spot, with Scáthach and Medea on either side of him. Artoria and Zealot settled near Ichigo's lower legs, while Kisara and Valiona rested behind Scáthach and Medea.
Time Skip: Next Morning
Ichigo woke up to a small tapping sound. Turning his head, he saw a black raven tapping his window with its beak. Before Ichigo could respond, a shadow tentacle rose and opened the window. The raven flew in towards Ichigo, and he noticed a letter tied to its leg. The tentacle attempted to stop the raven from reaching Ichigo, but the raven dodged it. More shadow tentacles rose, ready to stop the raven.
"Zealot stop," Ichigo ordered. The tentacles froze. The black raven landed on one of the shadow tentacles, staring at Ichigo. It raised its leg toward him. Ichigo stared back at the raven.
"It will get a letter for me," Ichigo whispered. The raven nodded, and one of the shadow tentacles moved toward it. The tentacle grew finger-like appendages and untied the letter from the raven's leg. The raven flew out the window, and the shadow tentacles closed it before placing the letter on the table.
"Are you going to read the letter?" a sleepy Medea asked. Ichigo noticed that everyone had woken up.
"Fine," Ichigo replied. Scáthach and Medea released his arms. The shadow tentacles brought the letter to him. Ichigo grabbed it, noticing the seal on the back: wax embossed with the letters WB. A small crown sat above them, bisecting the letters with the words "Wing Bind." Ichigo broke the seal and opened the letter.
"Dear Ichigo,
This is Mórrígan. Amaterasu told me that you have returned to the appropriate time. Ankou and I are ready to meet with you. Please go to any red phone booth in London. When you go inside, pick up the phone and use the coin attached to this letter to make a call. When the call connects, say, 'Ichigo Kurosaki, clocking into work.' Please come alone, if possible.
If you need help finding us, refer to us as Mister Skull and Miss Raven."
Below the letter was a silver coin, about the size of a 100-yen coin (a dollar coin). It bore the same emblem as the wax seal. Ichigo pulled the coin off the letter.
"So when are you planning to meet with them?" Medea asked.
"Probably soon. Maybe after breakfast," Ichigo replied.
"You want to see Fleur's answer?" Artoria said.
"I do. We'll likely return to Japan for a short time before heading to America," Ichigo explained.
"Finally," Medea shouted. They all got out of bed and began to prepare for the morning. They walked downstairs to find everyone except Fleur already eating breakfast.
"Where's Fleur?" Ichigo asked.
"She requested to have breakfast in her room," Harry replied.
"I see..." Ichigo said. Kreacher brought them both a plate of food. Artoria's plate was three times larger than anyone else's. Ichigo chuckled as Artoria devoured the food. The children were shocked by the amount of food she ate. Artoria blushed when she noticed the stares. Soon, breakfast finished. The kids grabbed Kisara and Valiona, likely wanting rematch duels. Ichigo stood up.
"I'm planning to go to London to see Ragnok," Ichigo announced. They nodded, and Ichigo walked over to the fireplace and left for Gringotts.
Scene Change: Ragnok's Office
Ichigo quickly exited the Leaky Cauldron and made his way to Gringotts. As soon as he entered, he was escorted directly to Ragnok's office.
"Hello, Ichigo Kurosaki," Ragnok greeted.
"Hello, Ragnok," Ichigo replied.
"The good news is that the business information you provided us was accurate," Ragnok said, pulling out a large folder. Ichigo took it and reviewed his portfolio. All the stocks he had invested in were making large dividends, and he had significant control over many companies.
"Right now, that portfolio is worth billions of pounds and yen," Ragnok said.
"I see..." Ichigo replied.
"The bad news is, we at Gringotts don't wish for you to close your account," Ragnok admitted.
"Hm… In the non-magical world, they have debit and credit cards that allow me to use my money without having to visit the bank," Ichigo suggested. Ragnok smiled.
"Gringotts has connections with many non-magical banks around the world." Ragnok pulled out a small card and handed it to Ichigo. It was a sleek, black metal card with leather detailing. On the bottom left was Ichigo's name and account number, while the top left featured a large capital G.
"This is our Black Gold Debit Card," Ragnok explained. "It allows our customers to use their fortunes without withdrawing galleons or converting them into non-magical money."
"Thank you," Ichigo said, placing the card in his wallet. "Anything else?"
"There is one thing left," Ragnok said, standing up from his desk. "For your actions in helping the Goblin Nation, we owe you a great debt."
"Not again..." Ichigo thought.
"For your assistance, we grant you this item." Ragnok pulled out a small dagger. It was silver with red and black gemstones. "This dagger is made with Goblin Silver. It can absorb any material or solution to make it stronger. It is decorated with rubies and onyx. This dagger symbolizes your status as a Friend to the Goblin Nation. If you ever need anything, go to any Gringotts branch in Europe, and you'll receive immediate service."
"Thank you for this gift," Ichigo said, carefully accepting the dagger.
": May the beings of old bless you and your nation with great prosperity for the future. :" Ichigo said, extending his hand.
": May you and your family also be blessed with great health and prosperity. :" King Ragnok replied as they shook hands. Ichigo then headed to his vault, where the contents of the Lestrange vault had been transferred. He was surprised to find a pensive inside. He sent the books into his mindscape for Kyōka, Hōgyoku, and Mysteria. After that, he headed back upstairs.
Scene Change: London
Ichigo left Diagon Alley and soon spotted a red phone booth with the word "telephone" above the clear plastic panel. He entered the booth and inserted the coin. A small wave of magic resonated through the phone booth. Ichigo could hear the phone connect.
"Ichigo Kurosaki, clocking into work," Ichigo said. The sign above the phone booth changed to "WB". Suddenly, the phone booth shot downwards. Ichigo put the phone away and waited. He could sense a dimensional shift, similar to entering Soul Society. Ichigo changed into his Shinigami form. When the phone booth stopped, he stepped out, finding himself at a stone archway. The top of the archway was broken, revealing the letters "WB" within a shield. Above the archway, a large TV displayed an advertisement for a drink. Below the archway, two girls were arguing.
The first girl was tall and slim, with waist-length black hair, long bangs, and a small, white, horn-like extension on her left temple. She wore brown dress shoes. The second girl had green eyes and blonde hair, tied in two long pigtails with red, spiked metal bands. She wore black boots with gemstone decorations on the ankles.
They were both wearing similar uniforms, consisting of a green suit over a white undershirt with a thick red bow tie fastening a short, red-and-black plaid cape to their necks; a short green skirt with a holster for their gun on their right thigh, and knee-length black leggings.
"Um…excuse me?" Ichigo said. The girls turned to him.
"Who are you?" the girl with blonde hair asked, her hand hovering near her gun.
"My name is Ichigo Kurosaki," Ichigo introduced himself.
"Noel Niihashi," the girl with black hair said.
"Noel, why did you introduce yourself?" the blonde girl asked.
"Ninii-san, if you paid attention to your lessons, you'd know he's dressed in the uniform of the East Branch." The newly named Ninii blushed and let out a nervous laugh. Noel turned to Ichigo.
"So, Soul Reaper from the East Branch, what can I do for you?" she asked.
"I'm looking for Mister Skull and Miss Raven," Ichigo said. Noel's eyes widened.
"You're looking for the President and Vice President…" Noel pointed to the building in front of them. "Their office is on the top floor of that building."
"Thank you," Ichigo said as he began walking toward the building. He noticed the two girls following behind him.
"We're not following you or anything," Ninii said defensively. Ichigo shrugged as he entered the building. He got on the escalator and began to travel up, ignoring the curious stares from everyone around him. A few minutes later, he arrived at the highest floor of the building and walked over to the front desk. He saw a secretary casually painting her nails.
"Welcome to Wing Bind. What can I do for you?" she asked without looking up.
"I'd like to see Mister Skull and Miss Raven," Ichigo said.
"Do you have an appointment?" she asked, still painting.
"I believe so," Ichigo replied.
"There's no 'believe' here," the secretary said, opening a notebook. "I can schedule you for an appointment five years from now."
"Can you check if my name is on the list of appointments?" Ichigo asked.
"Mister Skull and Miss Raven have cleared their schedule for a very important VIP today," the secretary said, glancing at Ichigo. "Based on what I sense, you're not that VIP." Ichigo glared at her.
"Let's see about that," Ichigo thought. He lowered his reiatsu, allowing it to radiate. Suddenly, the entire building began to shake. Alarms went off, and the secretary was slammed onto the floor by the sudden pressure. Nearby office doors burst open as Mórrígan and Ankou rushed out. Mórrígan held a large Celtic sword, while Ankou carried his signature scythe. They scanned the area and noticed Ichigo glaring at their secretary.
"Ichigo!" Mórrígan called out.
Ichigo waved and released his reiatsu, allowing it to return to normal. Mórrígan and Ankou shook their heads at the secretary.
"Let's get this meeting started," Ichigo said.
"Agreed," Ankou said. They all entered the office. The space appeared typical, with standard office furniture. Ichigo, Mórrígan, and Ankou sat at a small coffee table.
"Sorry about our secretary. She'll be appropriately punished for her actions," Mórrígan said.
"Okay," Ichigo said. "What should we start this meeting with?"
"I think I should start by rewarding you for freeing Ankou," Mórrígan said. Ichigo nodded. "I am primarily a Goddess of Fate and War," she continued. "After careful consideration, I'll give you my blessing." Ichigo summoned a schrift in front of him.
"Please channel your blessing into this," Ichigo said. Mórrígan took the schrift and began to perform the blessing. The white schrift turned crimson before she handed it back to him.
"I, Ichigo Kurosaki, bestow this schrift upon myself," Ichigo declared as he absorbed the schrift. He felt Schrift S: The Slayer merge with the new schrift, and a rush of bloodlust surged through him.
"Fight! FIGHT!" Zangetsu roared in the mindscape, his instincts fueled by the sudden need for violence and bloodshed. Slowly, Ichigo managed to calm himself.
"Good. You didn't get overwhelmed by the bloodlust," Mórrígan commented. "The blessing you received from me grants you several abilities. First, when you grab any object with the intent to use it as a weapon, you gain insight into how to use it effectively. However, this ability requires practice to master," she warned. Ichigo picked up a pen and held it like a knife. Suddenly, different techniques appeared in his mind. He shifted his grip, holding it like a normal pen, and the techniques vanished.
"It also grants you an understanding of strategy and tactics. You'll be able to see your opponents' actions and predict their strategies, helping you come up with countermeasures," Mórrígan continued. Ichigo nodded, understanding the power of this ability. "Additionally, when fighting alongside allies, you can temporarily boost their power. But be warned, this can turn them into berserkers who will only follow your commands," Mórrígan finished. Ichigo nodded again.
"I name this schrift W: The Warlord," Ichigo declared.
Mórrígan nodded. "What's next?"
"I'll go next," Ichigo said. "What exactly is Wing Bind?"
"Ah, let me explain," Ankou began. "When I was freed from Mórrígan's trap, I began observing what was happening to the souls. Non-magical ghosts, due to a lack of magical energy, would eventually be forced to return to the cycle of reincarnation. But magical ghosts, those who can tap into the residual magical energy around them, don't have this issue. These ghosts discovered they could devour other ghosts to sustain themselves."
"Similar to Hollows," Ichigo thought.
"As these souls grew larger, they lost their human form and needed more magical energy to sustain themselves. We realized that these larger souls produced resources we could harvest without harming them. So, we started taking care of these larger souls rather than destroying them," Ankou continued. "The problem, though, was that Mórrígan and I couldn't handle all the work ourselves." He glanced toward the office door. "We decided to recruit humans who could see souls."
"These happened to be many wizards and witches who couldn't live in Magical Britain. We helped them reintegrate into non-magical life in exchange for their service," Mórrígan added. "The first generation of workers still called themselves witches and wizards. When they encountered the larger souls, they referred to them as 'dragons' due to their appearance. The name stuck."
"I see…" Ichigo said, now understanding what Wing Bind is. "One of the girls said I worked at the East Branch. Are you allied with the Gotei 14?"
"The Gotei 14? I thought there were only 13 divisions," Mórrígan asked.
"The name changed when a new division was created," Ichigo explained.
"No," Ankou replied. "But our naming is tied to them. We call ourselves the Soul Society West Branch since that's literally what we are; a society for souls," he finished.
"So, does Wing Bind wish to ally with the Gotei 14?" Ichigo asked.
"We do," Mórrígan replied. "We're a newer organization, and we would be happy to ally ourselves with one of the oldest Soul Societies out there."
"Here is the name of my Head of International Relations," Ichigo said, writing Ukitake's name down. "Please mention that you spoke with me about the idea and that I didn't indicate a decision in the matter," he requested.
"Sure…" Mórrígan said.
"Now that Mórrígan has paid her debt to you, let me repay mine by helping you," Ankou said.
"You could grant me your Blessing for the Death Quest," Ichigo suggested.
"Oh? You're working on that?" Ankou said in disbelief.
"I am. I already have two Blessings, with another one on the way."
"Impressive. Who's still around?"
"Odin and Hades are still around. Osiris gave me his Blessing before fading away," Ichigo explained.
"I see. With me, you'll have four," Ankou concluded.
"Indeed."
"I, Ankou, the remaining Celtic God of Death, grant Ichigo Kurosaki my Blessing for the Death Quest." Ichigo could feel Ankou's magic flowing around him. He allowed the magic to enter his being.
"Thank you," Ichigo said.
"No... thank you," Ankou and Mórrígan replied.
Scene Change: Potter Manor
Ichigo returned to Potter Manor, which was mostly empty. Artoria, Scáthach, Medea, and Zealot were relaxing in their room.
"Hello, Master's Savior. What can Kreacher do for you?" Kreacher asked as he appeared next to Ichigo.
"First off, call me Ichigo," Ichigo requested.
"Kreacher will try that… Ichigo." Ichigo nodded in acknowledgment. "What can Kreacher do for you?"
"Is Fleur still here?"
Kreacher nodded. "She is in her room right now."
"Thank you," Ichigo said.
He walked over to her room and knocked on the door. No one responded.
"Fleur, it's Ichigo," Ichigo said, knocking again. The door slightly opened, and Fleur peeked out. Upon seeing Ichigo standing there, she opened the door fully and let him in, quickly closing it behind him.
"You're here for my answer?" she asked.
"That, and I'm just checking up on you," Ichigo replied.
"You coming here and checking up on me isn't making this decision any easier," Fleur said.
"I know," Ichigo said with a smile. Suddenly, a small chiming sound, like a bell ringing, filled the air.
"Oh." Fleur walked over to her bag and pulled out a small box. It had a bell attached to the side, which was ringing.
"What's that?" Ichigo asked.
"When I was with Bazett, she added me as a Freelancer Sealing Designation Enforcer," Fleur explained.
"What's a Sealing Designation?"
"A Sealing Designation is a special order to 'maintain and protect' certain thaumaturgical abilities that can't be acquired through study," Fleur explained. "To most magi, this is essentially a death sentence."
"I see…" Ichigo said.
"These Sealing Designations also come with high bounties, causing regular Enforcers and freelance Enforcers to essentially fight for the unfortunate magus," Fleur continued, opening her box. She pulled out a small stack of papers. "Wow. This magus has five different Sealing Designations."
"Is that unheard of?" Ichigo asked.
"It is. Sealing Designations aren't something the Carillon Observatory usually issues. When they do, it's for just one ability. With five Sealing Designations, it means this magus has five unique abilities that the Carillon Observatory has specifically targeted for capture and preservation," Fleur explained. She began to read through the Sealing Designations, her eyes widening as she flipped through the papers.
"What happened?" Ichigo asked.
"These Sealing Designations are for you," Fleur said.
