Chapter 64:
Ichigo sat down and continued to watch the matches unfold. The winner of the first match was Honchkrow. In the second match, Harrison's Blaziken defeated Magneton. The third match saw Neesha and her Dewgong face off against Muk, with Neesha losing due to Muk's poison. The fourth match was between Corey and his Venusaur versus Cloyster, and Corey lost to Cloyster. In the fifth match, a Hitmontop faced Pelipper, with Pelipper's trainer coming out on top. The sixth match was a battle between Typhlosion and Ursaring, with Typhlosion emerging victorious. In the seventh match, Arbok faced Nidoking, and Nidoking won.
"Time for the final match of this round!" Domino shouted. "Number 16 and number 8!"
Ichigo and Trainer Number 8 walked to the battlefield, and the Hypnos raised the barriers.
"Go, Arcanine!"
"Go, Milotic," Ichigo said.
"Arcanine vs Milotic," Domino announced. "Let the battle begin!"
"Arcanine, use Flamethrower!" the opponent commanded. Arcanine opened its mouth and unleashed a massive stream of fire.
"Milotic, dodge and use Water Pulse!" Ichigo called. Milotic swerved to the side, narrowly avoiding the attack, and fired a large ball of water at Arcanine.
"Arcanine, dodge it!" the trainer shouted. Arcanine leaped into the air, avoiding the Water Pulse. Milotic quickly fired another one, hitting Arcanine in the chest.
"Arc!" Arcanine howled as it struggled to regain its footing. Milotic then opened its mouth again and released a powerful stream of water. It hit Arcanine square in the face, and Arcanine let out another howl of pain.
"Looks like Milotic learned a new move," Ichigo thought.
Milotic stopped its attack as Arcanine struggled to stand.
"Milotic, finish it!" Ichigo commanded. Milotic fired another powerful stream of water, slamming into Arcanine and sending it crashing into the psychic barrier. Arcanine collapsed on the ground, unable to continue.
"Winner is Ichigo and Milotic!" Domino declared. The Hypnos lowered the barriers, and Ichigo recalled his Milotic before heading back to his seat.
"Wow," Harrison remarked. Ichigo scanned Milotic's Poké Ball.
"This Milotic is a female Water Dragon-type, 20.3 feet tall, and has the Sap Sipper ability. The current known moves are Disarming Voice, Dragonbreath, Water Pulse, Life Dew, Aqua Ring, and Hydro Pump. Note: This Pokémon's physical appearance, typing combination, and ability are unusual. Please rescan Poké Ball to attempt fixing anomalies," the Pokédex said.
"Your Milotic isn't normal," Harrison said, eyeing the device.
Ichigo shrugged. "Guess I got lucky."
"The next round is starting!" Domino said, shaking her hat.
"We have Number 1 and Number 2!" she announced. Harrison stood up and walked to the battlefield. Trainer Number 1, the one who had used Honchkrow, walked to the opposite side.
"Let's go, Houndoom!" Harrison called, and a large black dog appeared.
"Go, Starmie!" Trainer Number 1 shouted, and Starmie materialized on the battlefield.
"Houndoom vs Starmie. Let the match begin!" Domino shouted.
"Daddy," Kirlia called out.
"Yes, Kirlia?" Ichigo replied.
"More Team Rocket members boarded the ship," Kirlia reported.
"I see… Can you talk with Milotic?" Ichigo asked.
"Hm…" Kirlia paused. "She's able to reply."
"Tell her to use Aqua Ring to heal up as long as she's in the Poké Ball," Ichigo instructed.
"Okay, I will," Kirlia responded.
Ichigo looked up just in time to see Harrison barely winning against Starmie. Harrison sat back down, exhausted.
"That was tough," he admitted.
Trainer 11, who had used Muk earlier, and Trainer 12, who had used Cloyster, walked up. Trainer 11 sent out a Heracross, and Trainer 12 released an Electabuzz. Electabuzz narrowly won the battle.
Trainer 3, who had used Pelipper, and Trainer 6, who had used Typhlosion, walked up next. Trainer 3 sent out his Pelipper, while Trainer 6 sent out a Shuckle. Pelipper managed to knock out Shuckle, but it fainted shortly afterward.
"Now then, Trainer 15 and Trainer 16, please come up for the Quarterfinal match!" Domino called.
Ichigo and Trainer 15, who had used Nidoking earlier, stepped onto the battlefield.
"Go, Nidoking!" Trainer 15 called out.
"Looks like Nidoking hasn't recovered yet," Ichigo thought.
"Go, Squirtle!" Ichigo said, and Squirtle appeared.
"Nidoking vs Squirtle. Let the match begin!" Domino announced.
"Nidoking, use Sludge Bomb!" Trainer 15 commanded.
"Squirtle, dodge it!" Ichigo yelled. Squirtle leaped to the side, narrowly avoiding the attack. "Use Water Gun!"
Squirtle shot a blast of water at Nidoking.
"Nidoking, charge in with Mega Punch!" Trainer 15 shouted.
"Squirtle, withdraw, and use Iron Defense!" Ichigo called. Squirtle tucked its limbs into its shell and glowed silver. When Nidoking's punch landed, Squirtle was sent flying into the barrier but quickly bounced back. Still surrounded by the silver energy, Squirtle spun toward Nidoking, slamming into its chest.
"King!" Nidoking grunted.
"Did Squirtle learn a new move?" Ichigo thought as Squirtle spun away from Nidoking. She popped her head and limbs out and stared at Nidoking.
"Squir-TLE!" Squirtle shouted as she was enveloped in white light.
"Looks like she's evolving," Ichigo thought.
The light faded, revealing Wartortle. She had brown eyes, a dark blue streak on each cheek, and two sharp teeth protruding from her upper jaw. Three clawed fingers and pointed toes adorned her feet, while her head featured feather-like ears. Her brown shell had a pale-yellow underside, separated by a thick white rim. A thick, wavy tail also had light blue coloring.
"War," Wartortle said.
"Wartortle, let's finish this," Ichigo said.
"War," Wartortle replied, surrounded by water before charging at Nidoking.
"Dodge it!" Trainer 15 yelled, but it was too late. Wartortle slammed into Nidoking's chest, knocking the Pokémon to the ground.
"Nidoking!" Trainer 15 cried.
"Nidoking is unable to battle. The winner is Wartortle!" Domino declared. Ichigo recalled Wartortle and walked back to his seat.
"Man, a Milotic, Wartortle, and a Gengar… You're a scary trainer," Harrison complimented.
Ichigo chuckled as he scanned Wartortle.
"This Wartortle is a female Water-type, 3 feet 3 inches tall, and has the Rain Dish ability. The current known moves are Water Gun, Rapid Spin, Iron Defense, Dig, Gyro Ball, and Aqua Jet."
"So those two moves were Gyro Ball and Aqua Jet," Ichigo thought.
"Now, let's start the Semifinals!" Domino called. "Trainer #2 and Trainer #12, please come to the stage!"
Harrison and Trainer 12 stepped onto the battlefield.
"Go, Miltank!" Harrison called.
"This'll be easy. Go, Machamp!" Trainer #12 said.
"Let the Semifinal match between Miltank and Machamp begin!" Domino announced.
Miltank easily defeated Machamp using a combination of Milk Drink and Zen Headbutt, one of the few physical psychic-type moves.
"Now, we have Trainer #16 and Trainer #3!" Domino shouted. Ichigo stood up and walked to the battlefield.
"Go, Crawdaunt!" Trainer #3 said.
"Hm… It looks like a crab, so maybe a Water-type," Ichigo thought.
"Go, Bulbasaur!" Ichigo said.
"The Semifinal match between Crawdaunt and Bulbasaur will begin!" Domino announced.
"Crawdaunt, use Night Slash!" Trainer #3 called. Crawdaunt leaped toward Bulbasaur with glowing claws.
"Bulbasaur, use Vine Whip to dodge!" Ichigo commanded. Green vines sprouted from Bulbasaur's back, lifting it off the ground to avoid Crawdaunt's attack. "Use Sleep Powder!"
Bulbasaur shook its back, sending Sleep Powder drifting toward Crawdaunt.
"Crawdaunt, Bubblebeam!" Trainer #3 shouted. Crawdaunt released a stream of bubbles, which collided with the Sleep Powder, canceling it out. Bulbasaur landed on the ground.
"Bulbasaur, use Sleep Powder and Leech Seed," Ichigo instructed.
"Bul-BA!" Bulbasaur tucked its head, aiming the large bulb on its back at Crawdaunt. Sleep Powder and Leech Seed shot out of the bulb.
"Crawdaunt, use Protect!"
"Craw." Crawdaunt stuck its claws out as a green barrier formed around it. Ichigo saw the Sleep Powder and Leech Seed slide off the barrier and fall to the ground.
"Bulbasaur, use Vine Whip. As soon as Protect wears off, grab it and slam Crawdaunt to the ground!" Ichigo ordered. Bulbasaur nodded and green vines shot out from its back, waiting for the right moment.
"Crawdaunt, use Night Slash to cut the vines!"
"Bulbasaur, aim for its back and tail!" Ichigo commanded. Crawdaunt's claws glowed black as it tried to cut Bulbasaur's vines. Bulbasaur managed to grab Crawdaunt's tail and flipped it upside down. Crawdaunt landed face-first on the ground. The impact kicked up the Sleep Powder and Leech Seed that had fallen earlier. Crawdaunt quickly fell asleep, and the Leech Seed's vines wrapped themselves around its body, draining its energy. Bulbasaur could feel the energy flowing from Crawdaunt.
"Bulbasaur, finish it off with Mega Drain!" Ichigo ordered. Bulbasaur tucked its head again, aiming the large bulb on its back at Crawdaunt. A green beam shot out of the bulb, engulfing Crawdaunt. The beam turned red before releasing Crawdaunt, and the red beam traveled back to Bulbasaur.
"Bulb-SAUR!" Bulbasaur was enveloped in white light.
"Another evolution?" Ichigo thought as the light faded.
"Ivy." Bulbasaur grew slightly bigger, and the green bulb on its back turned reddish-pink. The leaves on its back also grew larger. Domino walked onto the battlefield and looked at Crawdaunt.
"The battle is over. The winner is Ivysaur!" she announced. Ichigo recalled Ivysaur and walked back to his seat.
"With the last Semi-final match over, it's time for the final match!" Domino shouted. Ichigo saw Harrison walking toward the battlefield.
"You ready, Ichigo?" Harrison asked.
"I am," Ichigo replied.
"Go Hypno!" Harrison called out.
"Go Vulpix," Ichigo said.
"The final match—Hypno vs Vulpix—begins!" Domino shouted.
"Hypno, use Hypnosis," Harrison commanded.
"Vulpix, stop it with Confuse Ray!" Ichigo countered. Hypno's eyes glowed blue as it swung its pendulum left and right. Vulpix's eyes glowed purple. Both Pokémon flinched as their psychic and ghost energy collided, canceling each other out.
"Vulpix, use Incinerate!" Ichigo ordered.
"Vul!" Vulpix cried out as she sent a small stream of fire toward Hypno.
"Hypno, use Psychic! Send the fire back at Vulpix!" Harrison ordered. Hypno's eyes glowed blue, and the incoming flames were surrounded by psychic energy, forcing them back toward Vulpix. Ichigo smirked as Vulpix stood firm against the attack. Vulpix's body glowed red.
"Vulpix has the Flash Fire ability," Ichigo said with a smirk. Vulpix opened her mouth and unleashed a much larger stream of fire, unlike Incinerate.
"That's not Incinerate," Ichigo thought.
"Hypno, dodge it!" Harrison shouted. Hypno teleported away from the fire just in time. The flames slammed into the barrier and exploded, sending embers flying across the field. Hypno landed, immediately flinching as it stepped on the embers.
"Vulpix, attack again!" Ichigo commanded. Vulpix opened her mouth and fired another stream of fire, different from the first one.
"Teleport away!" Harrison called out, but Hypno flinched once again from the embers on its feet. That moment of distraction was all Vulpix needed. The flames hit Hypno in the chest.
"Hypno!" it cried in agony.
"Hypno, get out of there!" Harrison shouted.
"Vulpix, enough," Ichigo said. Vulpix stopped her attack. Hypno collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
"The winner of our final match is Vulpix!" Domino declared. "This means Trainer #16 is the winner of our tournament!" The remaining guests and trainers applauded Ichigo.
"Daddy, Team Rocket is surrounding the entrances," Kirlia warned.
"Thank you," Ichigo replied.
"As the winner of the tournament, you get the first pick of our 16 mysterious Pokémon," Domino said. Ichigo walked to the table with the Poké Balls. Before he could move, the doors slammed open as Team Rocket members flooded in, blocking the entrances. Some members grabbed nearby crew members and held them hostage. Others released their Pokémon, revealing Golbats, Ratticates, Koffings, and Ekans. Ichigo saw Proton step forward.
"Nobody moves!" he shouted, scanning the room. "Or these people will get hurt." Proton looked at Ichigo, who was the only one with a Pokémon out. "Recall your Pokémon," he demanded.
"Kirlia, stand by. Vulpix, get ready," Ichigo said as he slowly reached for Milotic's Poké Ball.
"Yes, Daddy," they replied.
"Hydro Pump!" Ichigo yelled as he released Milotic. Milotic unleashed a powerful jet of water, while Vulpix fired a stream of fire. Their combined attacks knocked out all the Team Rocket Pokémon and startled the members. Ichigo turned to Harrison and the others.
"Well? What are you waiting for?" Ichigo questioned. The other trainers quickly realized what he meant and released their Pokémon.
"What about the hostages?" one of the trainers asked.
"They're Team Rocket members in disguise," Ichigo replied.
"How do you know?" Harrison asked.
"Simple," Ichigo said. "The Team Rocket members weren't holding the hostages tightly, and they didn't struggle when they were grabbed."
"Dammit," Proton mentally growled. "The Boss isn't going to like this." He pressed a button, and the ship shook as something exploded.
"If you do anything, I'll blow up this ship," Proton threatened, holding up a remote.
"So, you're willing to blow yourself and all your Team Rocket members up?" Ichigo said.
"Damn him," Proton muttered under his breath.
"Executive Alexi, this is Admin Rin," Rin said, speaking into her earpiece while disguised as Domino.
"What is it, Admin Rin?" Alexi replied.
"Admin Proton failed to intimidate the guests on the ship," Rin reported.
"I see…" Alexi replied before going silent. Admin Proton glared at Rin, still disguised. "Very well. Admin Proton. Admin Rin."
"Yes, sir?" Admin Rin replied.
"I've been informed that Project M has been authorized. Alpha Squad, Bravo Squad, Gamma Squad, and Delta Squad, commence Code White," Alexi ordered. "I repeat, all squads commence Code White." Proton and Rin turned to their respective squads.
"CODE WHITE!" they shouted. All the Team Rocket members, both in uniform and disguise, quickly turned and ran out of the room. Everyone was confused by their hasty retreat.
"Looks like you scared them off," Harrison said.
"No…" Ichigo replied. "It looks like they were ordered to retreat."
"Why?" Harrison asked.
"Daddy! I sense a massive wave of psychic energy," Kirlia warned.
"Dammit," Ichigo thought. Suddenly, the bow of the ship began to rise slowly. The movement startled everyone.
"Find something to hold on to!" someone shouted.
"Give me Metang's Poké Ball," Ichigo said. Metang's Poké Ball appeared in his hand, while he recalled Vulpix.
"Milotic, Iron Tail on the ground and hold me!" Ichigo instructed as he released Metang. Milotic followed his command. "Metang, use Confusion to hold everyone," Ichigo directed as the bow of the ship continued to rise.
"Yes, Master," Metang replied, sending out a blast of psychic energy. Everyone was surrounded by a protective psychic field. Metang gathered everyone together as tables, chairs, and anything not bolted down were swept toward the stern. Ichigo watched as the tournament prizes fell, only for them to be swallowed by a shadow.
"I got them, Daddy," Kirlia replied. Soon, the entire S.S. Anne was raised 90 degrees. Suddenly, the psychic energy that had been holding the ship in place disappeared, and the S.S. Anne crashed down onto its stern. Everything not pinned to the ground shot up toward everyone.
"Metang!" Ichigo thought, urgently. A much more powerful blast of psychic energy shot out from Metang, stopping the incoming debris. Once everything had calmed down, Metang lowered everyone gently. Milotic released Ichigo, and Metang safely set him down. Ichigo recalled Milotic.
"Metang, are you okay?" Ichigo asked.
"Just tired," Metang replied.
"That's fine. I'll give you some of my Aura," Ichigo said, recalling Metang.
"Anyone else have any psychic types?" Ichigo asked. A few people nodded, releasing their Pokémon. Ichigo saw a Kadabra, a Slowbro, an Exeggutor, and Harrison's revived Hypno. Ichigo pulled out his itinerary, which included a map on the other side. The other trainers gathered around him.
"We're in the main ballroom," Ichigo pointed out. "We'll break into two teams. Everyone will begin moving people out of the ballroom and toward the ocean. Those with large water types are advised to help carry a few Pokémon."
"Why the ocean?"
"If you couldn't tell, we're sinking," Ichigo pointed out.
"Oh…"
"I'll look through the rest of the boat for any other survivors," Ichigo said. "Harrison will take charge of getting everyone out," he added. Harrison and the others nodded.
Ichigo recalled Metang, who seemed better than before, and with Metang's help, he left the ballroom. Metang lifted Ichigo with its psychic powers as Ichigo closed his eyes and scanned the ship.
"Looks like there are a few people in their rooms, and a lot of Pokémon trapped in their Poké Balls," Ichigo sensed. He and Metang moved to those rooms, rescuing the people and retrieving the Poké Balls from the deceased trainers. Ichigo and Metang returned to see everyone from the ballroom now riding Pokémon. There was a Dewgong, Blastoise, Gyarados, Tentacruel, and Lapras among them. Some trainers were riding flying types instead of water types, while the others sat on the Pokémon.
Ichigo released his Pidgeotto and climbed on its back. He recalled Metang and summoned his backpack, strapping it on. Together, they moved away from the sinking S.S. Anne, heading toward Lavender Town. After two hours, someone spotted them and called the authorities. Three small boats approached, fortunately large enough to accommodate everyone. The boats took them back to Lavender Town, where Officer Jenny and her team were waiting.
A few minutes later, Ichigo found himself in a car with Officer Jenny, heading to the police station. She led him to her private office where he explained everything that had happened on the ship.
"I see…" Officer Jenny said. "Well, if I were one of those people on the S.S. Anne, I would thank you from the bottom of my heart."
Ichigo handed her a large bag filled with Poké Balls. "These Poké Balls belong to the deceased trainers I found while checking for survivors."
"I'll make sure these get delivered to the correct person," Officer Jenny said. "I've already contacted Nurse Joy. She has a room available for you."
"Thank you," Ichigo said, standing up and leaving her office. He exited the station and walked to the Pokémon Center. Ichigo recalled Yami and Kirlia as well.
Inside, Nurse Joy greeted him. "You must be Ichigo."
"I am," Ichigo replied.
"The other trainers told me how you led everyone to safety," she said, bringing out a tray for his Poké Balls. Ichigo placed the Poké Balls for Yami, Kirlia, Metang, Pidgeotto, Ivysaur, Wartortle, and Milotic on the tray. The Chansey took it and brought it to the back. Ichigo handed Nurse Joy his Pokédex.
She scanned it in the machine. "You're in room 1," she said. Chansey returned with Ichigo's Poké Balls.
"Thank you," Ichigo said.
"Chansey," it replied.
Ichigo pocketed the Poké Balls and walked toward the rooms.
"Hey, Ichigo," a voice called. He turned to see Harrison and the other trainers in the living room, watching the TV. Officer Jenny was holding an emergency news conference about the S.S. Anne.
"I managed to rescue the prizes from the tournament," Ichigo said, pulling out the items.
"It's fine, Ichigo," Harrison replied.
"Yeah, man. Take it as our gift for taking charge of the situation," another trainer added, nodding.
"Okay then," Ichigo said, grinning. "I'll see you all tomorrow." He turned and walked back to his room. After a quick shower, he went to bed.
Time Skip: Next Morning
Ichigo woke up, took a quick shower, and summoned Yhwach.
"Yhwach, if you could," Ichigo said. Yhwach appeared in the room and took Ichigo to the trainer.
Scene Change: Trainer
Ichigo appeared in an empty forest clearing. He released his Pokémon, noticing that Yami had grown much larger, now half the length of Milotic. Ivysaur and Roselia were talking, likely about Ivysaur's evolution.
"I should scan Vulpix and Metang," Ichigo thought. He scanned Vulpix's Poké Ball.
"This Vulpix is a female Fire-type, 3 feet tall, and has the Flash Fire ability. The current known moves are Baby-Doll Eyes, Confuse Ray, Will-O-Wisp, Double Team, Psybeam, Flame Burst, and Flamethrower."
Ichigo looked at Vulpix. "Looks like you're much stronger than before," he complimented.
"Thank you, Daddy," Vulpix replied, wagging her six tails.
"When did you get six tails?" Ichigo asked.
"I'm not sure," Vulpix admitted, looking back at her tails. "But I know it's a sign I'm getting much stronger than before," she added.
Ichigo scanned Metang's Poké Ball.
"This Metang is a genderless Steel/Psychic type, 4.5 feet tall, and has the Clear Body and Heatproof abilities. The current known moves are Take Down, Metal Claw, Bulldoze, Magnet Rise, and Psychic."
"Looks like someone is getting bigger and stronger," Ichigo complimented.
"Thank you, Master," Metang replied.
Ivysaur walked over to Ichigo. "Ivysaur wanted to remind you that you haven't scanned him after his evolution," Metang translated.
"Thank you, Ivysaur, for reminding me," Ichigo said. "And thank you, Metang, for translating."
"No problem, Master." Ichigo found Ivysaur's Poké Ball and scanned it.
"This Ivysaur is a male Grass/Poison-type, 3 feet 6 inches tall, and has the Chlorophyll ability. The current known moves are Poison Powder, Sleep Powder, Stun Spore, Leech Seed, Synthesis, Sludge, Vine Whip, Razor Leaf, Strength Sap, Power Whip, and Giga Drain."
Ichigo nodded. "Impressive," he said.
"Ivy," Ivysaur replied.
"Okay, everyone, can I see you all?" Ichigo asked. His Pokémon gathered around him.
"Yesterday, the winners of the tournament were promised a free Pokémon," Ichigo said. Kirlia and Yami nodded, recalling that Domino had said that. "In the chaos, Kirlia rescued all the Poké Balls that were going to be given out in the tournament." Kirlia nodded proudly. "I spoke with the other trainers, and they all agreed to give them to me." Ichigo pulled out his bag, revealing the 16 Poké Balls. "If you didn't realize it, our family grew again." Ichigo released the first Poké Ball.
The Pokémon inside was a bipedal creature with icy blue, brick-patterned hide. Thicker plates formed a dome around its head, and its ears resembled the entrances to an igloo. Ichigo scanned the Poké Ball.
"This Sandshrew is male, Ice/Steel type, 2 feet 2 inches tall, and has the Snow Cloak and Slush Rush abilities. The current known moves are Scratch, Metal Claw, Ice Claw (1), and Ice Ball. This is the Alolan variant of Sandshrew."
Sandshrew stared at everyone, looking confused.
"Wartortle," Ichigo called. Wartortle walked over to Ichigo. "Wartortle, this is Sandshrew. Sandshrew, this is Wartortle." Ichigo introduced them. "Wartortle, can you be Sandshrew's buddy for the time being?"
"War." Wartortle nodded, extending her hand to Sandshrew. He accepted it, and they walked off together. Ichigo set Sandshrew's Poké Ball aside and released another one.
Ichigo and all his Pokémon immediately recognized the next one. It was a Vulpix, but unlike Ichigo's, this one had a snowy white pelt, pale blue paws, blue eyes, and dark blue insides of its ears. Its snout was more pronounced and pointed than Ichigo's Vulpix. The locks of hair on its head and six curly, wispy tails made it look elegant. The two Vulpixes stared at each other for a few moments before playfully chasing one another. Ichigo scanned the Poké Ball.
"This Vulpix is female, Ice-type, 2 feet 7 inches tall, and has the Snow Cloak and Freezing Ice (2) ability. The current known moves are Hail, Baby-Doll Eyes, Extrasensory, and Freeze-Dry. This is the Alolan variation of Vulpix."
"I need to think of a nickname for both of them," Ichigo thought, noticing the similarity between the two Vulpixes.
"Vulpix," Ichigo called. Both Kanto and Alolan Vulpix ran over to him.
"Yes, Daddy?" Kanto Vulpix asked.
"Daddy?" Alolan Vulpix questioned.
"Daddy took care of me when I first hatched," Kanto Vulpix explained.
"Oh, I never had a daddy." Alolan Vulpix turned to Ichigo, using Baby-Doll Eyes. "Can I call you Daddy?"
"Yes, you can, but no more Baby-Doll Eyes," Ichigo replied with Telepathy. Alolan Vulpix's eyes widened in surprise.
"Anyway, it's going to be confusing calling out 'Vulpix' and having both of you run to me," Ichigo continued. "So, I'll give both of you nicknames."
"Okay, Daddy," they replied.
Ichigo looked at Kanto Vulpix. "You'll be Mika, which means 'beautiful fire.'" Then, turning to Alolan Vulpix, he said, "You'll be Miyuki, which means 'beautiful snow.'" Both Mika and Miyuki cheered and resumed playing. Ichigo watched them with a smile, noticing Sandshrew had joined in, and Milotic was keeping an eye on the group.
Ichigo took out the next Poké Ball and threw it.
The Pokémon that emerged resembled a Geodude but with a silvery appearance. It had small black hairs on its head, large black eyebrows, and a sturdy build. Ichigo scanned the Poké Ball.
"This Geodude is male, Steel Electric-type, 1 foot 5 inches tall, and has the Iron Body (3) ability. The current known moves are Magnet Rise, Magnet Pull (4), Bullet Punch, Metal Claw, Thunder Punch, and Bulk Up (5). This is the Alolan variation of Geodude."
"Geo," Geodude greeted.
"Hello Geodude," Ichigo responded. Metang floated over to Geodude.
"Metang, please watch over Geodude and see how strong he is."
"Yes Master," Metang replied. Turning to Geodude, he said, "Come with me, young rock." Geodude used Magnet Pull, attaching itself to Metang's arm, and they floated off.
Ichigo took out the next Poké Ball and released it.
The next Pokémon looked like a Ponyta but with chalk-white fur and a long, purple-and-blue, cloudy mane and tail. It had purple eyes with light-blue irises, a purple-and-white horn on its forehead, and its hooves were dark purple. Ichigo scanned the Poké Ball.
"This Ponyta is female, Fairy-type (6), 3 feet 3 inches tall, and has the Pixilate ability. The current known moves are Tackle, Confusion, Thrash, and Fairy Light (7). This is the Galarian variation of Ponyta."
"Kirlia," Ichigo called.
"Yes, Daddy?" Kirlia responded.
"This is Ponyta. Please be her buddy for the time being."
"Yes, Daddy," Kirlia replied. She turned to Ponyta. "I'm Kirlia," she introduced herself.
"I'm Ponyta," Ponyta replied using Telepathy.
"Yay! Daddy, another Pokémon that uses Telepathy!" Kirlia exclaimed in joy. "Come on, Ponyta, let me introduce you to everyone." She hopped onto Ponyta's back, and they walked off together.
Ichigo took out the next Poké Ball and released it.
A small, green, bipedal reptilian Pokémon emerged. It had yellow eyes with narrow pupils, and its hands and feet had three digits, each covered with tiny spikes. Its stomach and throat were red, and there was a line across its stomach resembling a pouch. It also had a large, dark green tail with two separate lobes. Ichigo scanned the Poké Ball.
"This Treecko is male, Grass-type, 1 foot 3 inches tall, and has the Overgrow ability. The current known moves are Pound, Absorb, Quick Attack, Dragon Breath, and Slash."
"Ivysaur," Ichigo called out. Ivysaur walked over.
"Ivysaur, this is Treecko. Please take care of him."
"Ivy," Ivysaur responded as a vine from his back slowly moved toward Treecko. Treecko hesitated, then accepted the vine. Ivysaur led Treecko away.
Ichigo took out the next Poké Ball and threw it.
It was the Torchic from earlier. Ichigo scanned the Poké Ball.
"This Torchic is female, Fire-type, 1 foot 5 inches tall, and has the Speed Boost ability. The current known moves are Peck, Ember, Quick Attack, and Flame Charge. Note this Pokémon has an unusual coloration."
"Charmeleon," Ichigo called. Charmeleon walked over.
"Charmeleon, this is Torchic. Torchic, this is Charmeleon," Ichigo introduced them.
"$: Don't worry Daddy, I'll take care of the little one, :$," Charmeleon said with a smirk.
Torchic pecked Charmeleon on the cheek. Charmeleon turned, seeing Torchic glare at her.
"$: I like her already, :$" Charmeleon muttered with a grin as the two fire types walked off together.
Ichigo shook his head and pulled out the next Poké Ball, releasing the Pokémon inside.
A small, quadrupedal Pokémon appeared with a blue body and a light-blue underside. It had a large head with a blue fin on top and a light-blue tail fin. Its orange, star-shaped gills were visible on its cheeks. Ichigo scanned the Poké Ball.
"This Mudkip is male, Water-type, 1 foot 4 inches tall, and has the Torrent ability. The current known moves are Water Gun, Mud-Slap, Rock Smash, and Tackle."
"$: Milotic, can you please come here? :$" Ichigo called.
"$: Daddy, is this my little one to help? :$" Milotic asked as she slithered over.
"$: Yes Milotic, this is Mudkip, :$" Ichigo introduced them.
"Mudkip, this is Milotic." Ichigo introduced.
"$: I will take care of this little one for you Daddy, :$" Milotic replied as Mudkip snuggled into her coils.
Ichigo took out the next Poké Ball and released the Pokémon.
A small gray, fox-like Pokémon appeared with red and black accents. Its triangular ears had dark insides, and it had a tuft of red fur on top of its head. Greenish-blue eyes and red eyelids, along with circular red markings above their eyes, completed its look. Ichigo scanned the Poké Ball.
"This Zorua is female, Dark-type, 2 feet 5 inches tall, and has the Illusion ability. The current known moves are Scratch, Bite, and Pursuit."
"Kirlia," Ichigo called.
"I got another one?" Kirlia asked, trotting back to Ichigo with Ponyta.
"Yep, a little fox called Zorua," Ichigo said. Kirlia jumped off Ponyta's back and knelt before Zorua.
"Hello, little one. I'm Kirlia," she introduced herself. Zorua looked at her for a few moments before walking toward her. Kirlia picked Zorua up and turned to Ichigo.
"I'll take care of this little one," she said, walking away.
Ichigo took out the next Poké Ball and released it.
A short, white, eel-like Pokémon appeared. It had dark oval eyes and a red, star-shaped mouth. A wavy yellow stripe ran along its body, which tapered into a long fin membrane. It floated in the air. Ichigo scanned the Poké Ball.
"This Tynamo is female, Electric-type, 1 foot tall, and has the Levitate ability. The current known moves are Tackle, Thunder Wave, Spark, and Charge Beam."
"Metang, can you bring Geodude over here?" Ichigo asked.
"Okay Master," Metang said as it appeared alongside Geodude. The Tynamo floated closer to them.
"Tynamo, this is Geodude and Metang," Ichigo introduced.
Tynamo moved toward Geodude, and both Electric-types exchanged small sparks of electricity. A moment later, they seemed to accept each other.
"I will take care of this little one," Metang said. It floated away with Tynamo and Geodude. Ichigo took out the next Poké Ball and released it.
A small, bipedal Pokémon appeared. It had a rounded red and black head with a silvery blade extending from the front. Its face was gray with yellow eyes. Four steel spikes protruded from its black torso, two on each side connected by steel ribs. It had red arms that ended with knife-like blades instead of hands. Its legs were red with two-toed feet. Ichigo scanned the Poké Ball.
"This Pawniard is Female, Dark/Steel-type, 2 feet tall, and has the Inner Focus ability. The current known moves are Fury Cutter, Metal Claw, Feint Attack, and Hone Claws."
"Metang, I got another one for you," Ichigo mentally called out. Metang appeared in front of him. Pawniard stared at Metang.
"Metang, this is Pawniard. Pawniard, this is Metang." Metang raised its arm to Pawniard. Pawniard grasped the arm and climbed on top of Metang.
"Hold on tight," Metang said before floating back to its group. Ichigo chuckled as he released the next Pokémon.
It was a small blue quadrupedal Pokémon with black fur covering its head and neck, concealing everything but its mouth. The fur around its neck also had six purple spots encircling it. The hair on top of its head formed a single small horn. It also had a short tail that appeared to be bitten off. Ichigo scanned the Pokémon.
"This Deino is Female, Dark/Dragon-type, 2 feet 10 inches tall, and has the Hustle ability. The current known moves are Dragon Fang (8), Bite, Headbutt, and Dragon Dance."
"$: Yami, can you please come here? :$" Yami flew over and landed beside Ichigo.
"$: Trainer can speak to me? :$" Deino asked.
"$: I can. :$" Ichigo replied.
"$: I am Yami. :$" Yami said. "$: I am here to help take care of you. :$"
"$: Cool. :$" Deino said.
"$: Climb on, :$" Yami said. Deino managed to climb onto Yami's back before they flew away. Ichigo took the next Poké Ball and released it.
It was a black sword with a black hilt. Embedded in the hilt was a red gem with a dark center that appeared to be its eye. Attached to the pommel was a long, black cloth with a red swirl design at the tip, splitting into four tassels. The sheath was dark brown with curved lines resembling a triquetra. The top of the sheath had white centers resembling eyes. Ichigo scanned the Pokémon.
"This Honedge is Female, Steel/Ghost-type, 2 feet 8 inches tall, and has the No Guard ability. The current known moves are Slash, Swords Dance, and Shadow Sneak. Note this Pokémon has an unusual coloration."
"$: Yami, can you please come back here? :$" Yami returned to Ichigo, and after a few seconds, Honedge nodded at Yami. Yami flew away, followed by Honedge. Ichigo took out the next Poké Ball and released it.
It was a small, green reptilian Pokémon with rocky skin. It had a blunt spike on top of its head, a short snout, and triangular, black markings below and on the upper corners of its red eyes. Red scales covered its diamond-shaped belly, and there were several small holes in its body. Its short arms lacked fingers, while its feet had a single toenail each. Its tail had a conical center surrounded by plate-like scales. Ichigo scanned the Pokémon.
"This Larvitar is Female, Rock/Ground-type, 2 feet tall, and has the Sand Veil ability. The current known moves are Sandstorm, Rock Slide, Stomping Tantrum, Bite, and Stomp."
"Metang, I got you another one," Ichigo mentally called out.
"Is it another Steel Type?"
"No. It's Rock and Ground," Ichigo replied.
"Fine." Metang floated back with Geodude stuck on its left arm and Pawniard on its right.
"Larvitar, this is Metang. Metang, this is Larvitar." Larvitar stared at Metang for a few seconds before nodding its head. It was surrounded by psychic energy as Metang floated back to its area with Larvitar floating behind it.
"I better not get another Pokémon. Roselia and Pidgeotto haven't gotten a single one yet," Metang complained. Ichigo chuckled as he tossed the next Poké Ball.
It was a small reptilian Pokémon with a white body and black head and feet. Along its back and tail was an orange-red line. This marking is split into four short lines with round tips at the base of its tail. At the base of its neck were two short, flat spines, which created the impression of a mask or bandanna around its head. Its eyes were light purple with slit pupils, and there were several tooth-like protrusions along its upper jaw. Each foot had four pointed toes. Ichigo scanned the Pokémon.
"This Salandit is Female, Poison/Fire-type, 2 feet 2 inches tall, and has the Corrosion ability. The current known moves are Incinerate, Sludge, and Nasty Plot. Note this Pokémon has an unusual coloration."
"Charmeleon! Roselia!" Ichigo called. Charmeleon and Roselia walked up to Ichigo.
"I have a unique situation," Ichigo said. "Salandit is a Pokémon that is both Fire and Poison-type." Roselia and Charmeleon nodded and motioned for Salandit to follow them. Salandit followed behind them. Ichigo grabbed the second-to-last Poké Ball and released it.
It was a small, birdlike Pokémon, primarily dark blue, including its wings, tail, back, and part of its head. The lower part of its body and chest were yellow, with a black part that began under its wings and went to its face, from which feathers protruded, giving it a mask-like appearance. It had red eyes and small gray feet. Ichigo scanned the Pokémon.
"This Rookidee is Male, Flying-type, 1 foot tall, and has the Keen Eye ability. The current known moves are Peck, Wing Attack, Hone Claws, and Steel Wing."
"Pidgeotto," Ichigo called. His large flying type soared towards them. Rookidee glared at the larger flying type.
"Rookidee, this is Pidgeotto. Pidgeotto, this is Rookidee," Ichigo introduced. Ichigo kneeled to face Rookidee. "Pidgeotto is not here to harm you. He's here to help you grow bigger and stronger."
"Pidge," Pidgeotto said. Rookidee stared at Pidgeotto for a few seconds before nodding. Pidgeotto and Rookidee flew away. Ichigo grabbed the final Poké Ball and released it.
It was a small Pokémon with a round pink body and small feet. Most of its body was covered by a matching pink wig-like feature with a pink, hat-like protrusion on top. This protrusion was decorated with a white spot and had a pink bulbous growth at its tip. The flaps on the side of its head appeared to function like limbs. Ichigo scanned the Pokémon.
"This Hatenna is Female (6), Fairy-type, 1 foot 6 inches tall, and has the Regenerator ability. Its current known moves are Psybeam, Aromatherapy, Life Dew, and Disarming Voice. Note this Pokémon has an unusual coloration."
"Kirlia!" Ichigo called.
"Another one?" Kirlia asked.
"This is the last one," Ichigo replied.
"Fine," Kirlia said, and Kirlia, Ponyta, and another Kirlia returned.
"I assume that Zorua is using an illusion to look just like you?" Ichigo asked.
"Indeed," Kirlia replied.
"Both of you can use Telepathy?" Hatenna asked.
"Yes, you pink furball," Kirlia replied.
"I am not a furball!" Hatenna retorted. Kirlia waved her hand as Hatenna floated up and sat behind the disguised Zorua.
"I better not get any more Pokémon," Kirlia said, glaring at Ichigo. Ichigo chuckled as he gently ruffled her hair.
"Daddy!" She shouted, swatting Ichigo's hand to stop him. Ichigo stopped, and Kirlia pouted.
"Come on Ponyta, let's go before Daddy does that again."
"Okay Kirlia," Ponyta replied. "Bye Daddy." Ichigo chuckled again as Ponyta trotted away. Suddenly, a light began to shine from his bag. Ichigo opened it to find all of his Poké Eggs glowing. He took them out of their Incubators and placed them on the ground. The eggs glowed and hatched. Ichigo recognized two of the Pokémon.
They were both Eevees, but their fur was primarily light gray. The tip of their bushy tails and their large furry collars were white. Their short, slender legs had three small toes with pink paw pads. They still had their brown eyes, but their long-pointed ears had dark gray interiors. The other Pokémon Ichigo didn't recognize at all.
It was a small, bipedal, shark-like Pokémon with a black body. It had a big mouth filled with sharp teeth, no neck, and arms that started at the outer edges of its jaws. A cream underbelly stretched from its abdomen to its jaw. Gible had two horns resembling jet engines, and a single gray stripe wrapped around its back. On top of its head was a dorsal fin with a notch for the male.
Ichigo scanned the Eevees.
"This Eevee is Female, Normal-type, 1 foot 1 inch tall, and has the Adaptability ability. The current known moves are Snarl, Bite, Baby-Doll Eyes, Quick Attack, and Tackle. Note this Pokémon has an unusual coloration." Ichigo scanned the other Eevee.
"This Eevee is Female, Normal-type, 1 foot 1 inch tall, and has the Adaptability ability. The current known moves are Charm, Bite, Baby-Doll Eyes, Quick Attack, and Tackle. Note this Pokémon has an unusual coloration."
"Hm… both are very similar, with only one move being different," Ichigo thought. He then turned his attention to his shark-like Pokémon.
"This Gible is Female, Dragon Ground-type, 2 feet 4 inches tall, and has the Rough Skin ability. The current known moves are Tackle, Dig, Scratch, Bite, and Metal Claw. Note this Pokémon has an unusual coloration." Ichigo quickly grabbed three Poké Balls and caught his newly hatched Pokémon. He then released them, all of them looking slightly disoriented from the sudden movement.
"Yami and Kirlia!" Ichigo shouted.
"NO DADDY!" Kirlia telepathically screamed. "I am not taking another Pokémon!"
"But they are two Eevees, one that's likely focusing on Dark types, and the other on Fairy," Ichigo explained. Yami arrived silently.
"Yami, this is Gible. Gible, this is Yami." Gible stared at Yami for a few moments before nodding her head. Yami and Gible moved away. Ichigo turned to see Kirlia floating toward him, glaring. He presented her with both Eevees, who were using Baby-Doll Eyes.
"I hate you, Daddy," Kirlia said, pouting.
"It's part of the responsibility of being an older sister," Ichigo replied.
"Come on, you little adorable white furballs," Kirlia said as she levitated the two Eevees away. Ichigo chuckled as they floated off.
"Can I have your attention, please?" Ichigo called, allowing his voice to be heard by all the Pokémon. "For the next two days, I will be taking care of business. During that time, all of you will stay here and teach your younger brothers and sisters. Some of you will teach a lot, while others, not so much." He gestured to the large machine beside him. "There will be a machine here to dispense Poke Chow for all of you," he said. "It will ring a loud bell signaling chow time."
"Where will you be, Daddy?" Mika asked.
"I'll be outside. This is a pocket dimension," Ichigo answered.
"Oh… okay," Mika said.
"One more thing: if you get injured and need healing, just say or think 'I need healing,'" Ichigo instructed. "Any questions?" he asked. None of the Pokémon replied.
"Good, see you in two days," Ichigo said as he left the Trainer.
Scene Change: Outside
Ichigo appeared back in his room. Yhwach handed him the Trainer. Ichigo looked at the screen, which displayed pixel versions of his Pokémon. He chuckled as he put the Trainer away. Yhwach returned to Ichigo's mindscape. Ichigo pulled out his Pokédex and noticed Professor Oak had sent him a message. He pressed a button on the Pokédex, activating the video call option. Soon, the screen lit up with Professor Oak at his desk.
"Good morning, Professor," Ichigo greeted.
"Hello, Ichigo. Care to explain how you just got 19 new Pokémon, and the majority of them are not native to the Kanto or Johto regions?" Professor Oak asked. Ichigo explained the entire situation with the S.S. Anne, the version he told Officer Jenny, and how he had obtained the new Pokémon.
"I see…" Professor Oak said. "I was wondering if you could transfer some of your team data to me."
"It didn't show up on your side?" Ichigo questioned.
"It's programmed to only transfer what you want to send to me," Oak explained.
"I see… then for now, I won't transfer anything to you," Ichigo said.
"Huh? Why?"
"Knowing my luck, Team Rocket will continue to pursue me. If they find out you have current knowledge of my team, you'll likely be targeted," Ichigo reasoned. Professor Oak sighed.
"Fine then," Professor Oak said. "When you feel comfortable, please send the data over to me."
"I promise," Ichigo replied as he ended the call. Ichigo put his Pokédex away and walked out of his room. Suddenly, he collided with a running Nurse Joy.
"Sorry," Ichigo said, helping her up.
"No, it was my fault," Nurse Joy instantly replied.
"So, what happened?"
"I caught a Ghost-type stealing Poke Chow and some of my emergency potions," she said.
"Any description?" Ichigo asked.
"Only that it was white," Nurse Joy said. Suddenly, the door chime rang. She quickly ran to the front to deal with the incoming person. Ichigo closed his eyes and concentrated on the reiatsu in front of him.
"Got it," Ichigo thought as he followed the reiatsu trail left by the Ghost-type. He walked out of the Pokémon Center and continued to follow the trail, which led him to the Pokémon Tower. Upon entering, he could feel the reiatsu of the deceased Pokémon, which attracted Ghost Pokémon. As he walked past families mourning their losses, he could feel the despair in the air. He eventually arrived at two Pokémon hiding behind tombstones.
Ichigo recognized one of them. It was a Gengar but with different colors. Instead of the usual dark purple, it was ghostly white with a hint of pink around the legs. It also had cold gray eyes instead of the usual cruel red ones. On its back were numerous spikes, and smaller spikes like tufty fur adorned the top of its head. Its arms and legs were short, with three digits on both hands and feet, and it had a stubby tail. The other Pokémon resembled a little candle. Its body and two stubby arms were made primarily of white wax. A reddish-pink flame burned atop its head. The folded, melted wax covered its right eye, leaving only the left eye visible, though it was closed.
"Hello you two," Ichigo said. His voice startled the two Ghosts. Gengar pushed the other Pokémon behind it as if protecting it from Ichigo. Gengar puffed up, trying to make itself look bigger and more menacing. Ichigo chuckled.
"I'm not here to harm you," Ichigo said. Gengar stared at him. "I was curious why you needed to steal from Nurse Joy." Suddenly, Ichigo heard coughing. He glanced behind and saw the smaller candle Pokémon was the source. It coughed up something white.
"I assume you did that to help your fellow Ghost-type?" Ichigo asked. Gengar nodded. "Do you want me to take a look?" Ichigo asked. Gengar's eyes widened as it glared at Ichigo. Ichigo wasn't fazed by the glare. Gengar stepped aside, still glaring, allowing Ichigo to carefully pick up the small candle Pokémon.
"Hm…" Ichigo's hand glowed a soft green as he used his healing Kidō on the Pokémon. Gengar's hands glowed purple, ready to attack Ichigo when the small red flame on the candle's head began to grow bigger. "It looks like something is blocking it from gathering reiatsu naturally," Ichigo thought. The Pokémon opened its eye, revealing a bright green iris.
"Lit?" the Pokémon said, confused.
"Gengar!" Gengar shouted in joy. Ichigo placed the Pokémon on the ground.
"It appears that whatever happened earlier has prevented it from naturally gathering aura," Ichigo said.
Gengar slowly nodded in understanding. Ichigo turned to face it. "So, what exactly happened?"
In response, the shadows began to shift, forming images to tell the story.
"So, Gengar found the abandoned Pokémon and took them back to Pokémon Tower. At some point, a group of people came here and started capturing Ghost-types. They eventually stumbled upon Gengar and the abandoned Pokémon. Gengar attacked to defend them, but the intruders fought back, injuring both Gengar and the other Pokémon. Before they could be captured, they barely managed to escape." Ichigo pieced together the story from the shadowy images.
Ichigo nodded in understanding. "So… what will you do now? Avenge your captured brethren?"
Gengar shook its head.
"Grow stronger?"
Gengar gave a firm nod.
"I see… well, good luck then," Ichigo said as he turned to leave.
Before he could take a step, the shadows rose and wrapped around his leg. Ichigo turned back just in time to see the dark mist forming into the shape of a Poké Ball. Gengar pointed to itself and to the other Pokémon, then at the Poké Ball before finally, pointing at Ichigo.
"You want to come with me?" Ichigo asked. Both Pokémon nodded. "Sure," Ichigo said, pulling out two Poké Balls. Gengar tapped the Poké Ball with its hand, and the candle Pokémon tapped it with its head. Both Pokémon were successfully captured. Ichigo pulled out his Pokédex and scanned his new Pokémon.
"This Gengar is Female, Ghost/Poison type, height is unavailable, and has the abilities Levitate and Shadow Tag. The current known moves are Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Focus Blast, Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball, Hypnosis, Confuse Ray, Dream Eater, Hex, Curse, and Toxic. Note that this Pokémon has an unusual coloration," the Pokédex read.
"Wow. Gengar already has a powerful moveset," Ichigo thought as he scanned the other Poké Ball.
"This Litwick is Female, Ghost/Fire type, 1 foot 9 inches tall, and has the abilities Flash Fire and Flame Body. The current known moves are Shadow Ball, Incinerate, Will-O-Wisp, Curse, and Confuse Ray. Note that this Pokémon has an unusual coloration," the Pokédex continued.
"Good starting moveset," Ichigo thought as he pocketed the Poké Balls and walked back down. He donated some of his PokéDollars to the Pokémon Tower and returned to his room at the Pokémon Center.
"Ah, Ichigo," Nurse Joy greeted.
"Hello, Nurse Joy. I have someone here who needs to apologize to you."
"Oh?" Ichigo released Gengar.
"Yes. This Gengar found a sick Pokémon and rushed here, taking your supplies to care for it."
"I see…" Nurse Joy replied. Gengar stood her ground, looking at Nurse Joy. "Then it's okay," she said. "It's my job to help all Pokémon, even wild ones." Ichigo turned to Gengar, who bowed to Nurse Joy. She chuckled and sat down at her desk. Ichigo recalled Gengar.
"Will you be checking out today?" Nurse Joy asked. Ichigo placed Gengar's and Litwick's Poké Balls on the counter.
"Some of the trainers already checked out?" Nurse Joy took the Poké Balls to her machine.
"Indeed," she said.
"Guess I'll stay for one more night before checking out," Ichigo said.
"Sure," she replied, walking back to Ichigo with his Pokémon fully healed. Ichigo took the Poké Balls and walked back to his room. Yhwach appeared and sent Ichigo back to the Trainer. Ichigo met with Charmeleon and Yami. He tasked Charmeleon and Gengar with helping Litwick. Ichigo also tasked Gengar with teaching Yami more moves when Yami was available. After that, Ichigo left the Trainer and went to bed.
The next morning, Ichigo recalled all his Pokémon from the trainer and began his long walk towards Celadon City.
Scene Change: Celadon City
It took a week before Ichigo arrived in Celadon City. He spent three days each at Route 7 and Route 8, and only a night at Saffron City since you need five gym badges before you can challenge Sabrina. Ichigo walked to the Pokémon Center, healed his Pokémon, and checked into a room. He then made his way toward Celadon Gym.
"Erika is a Grass-type Gym Leader, so Pidgeotto, Mika, and Charmeleon should be able to handle her Pokémon," Ichigo thought. "This should push at least Pidgeotto and Mika to evolve."
He arrived at Erika's gym and entered, spotting someone at the front desk, dressed in a flower-themed kimono.
"Welcome to the Celadon Gym. Are you here for a Gym Battle or to visit our Perfume Store?" she asked.
"I'm here for a Gym Battle," Ichigo replied.
"May I see your Trainer Card?" she asked. Ichigo handed her his Pokédex. A few moments later, she handed it back to him.
"Very well. Please wait here for a few minutes," she said with a bow and left. Ichigo glanced at the array of flowers and Grass-type Pokémon scattered throughout the gym. The girl returned shortly.
"Gym Leader Erika is ready for you," she said. She escorted Ichigo down a hallway to the battlefield. Ichigo saw Erika standing by in her signature kimono. Ichigo took his position as the challenger, and the escort took her place in the stands with several other girls dressed in kimonos. A girl stood at the referee position.
"The battle between Gym Leader Erika and Challenger Ichigo will begin. This will be a three-on-three battle, and only the challenger will be allowed to substitute Pokémon," the referee announced.
"Go Gloom," Erika said.
"Go Mika," Ichigo said.
"Damn the smells," Mika growled.
"Keep it together, Mika," Ichigo replied.
"The battle between Gloom and Mika the Vulpix will begin!"
"Mika Flamethrower!" Ichigo ordered.
"Gloom use Pollen Dance (9) to dodge," Erika commanded. Gloom began to dance, moving to the side to avoid Mika's attack. As Gloom shook its body, pollen ejected from it, falling toward Mika. Ichigo's eyes widened in realization.
"Mika Flame Burst at the cloud of pollen!" Ichigo ordered. Mika fired another blast of flames at the pollen. The two attacks exploded, scattering burnt pollen and embers across the field.
"Mika Flamethrower again!" Ichigo shouted.
"Swerve to the side!" Erika commanded. Gloom took a step back, avoiding the attack.
"Follow it!" Ichigo yelled.
"Keep dodging!" Erika ordered. Gloom moved to the side, dodging the attack until it accidentally stepped on one of the embers. Gloom flinched in pain, and Mika spotted the opportunity.
"Mika Flamethrower!" Ichigo commanded.
"Gloom!" Erika cried. Gloom, distracted by the pain, was engulfed by the Flamethrower.
"Enough," Ichigo said. Mika stopped her attack. Gloom lay unconscious.
"Gloom is unable to battle. The winner is Vulpix," the referee announced. Erika silently recalled her Gloom. Suddenly, Vulpix began to glow.
"About time," Ichigo thought as Vulpix grew bigger and longer. The light faded, revealing a Ninetales. It had luxurious dark silver fur, a mane of thicker fur around its neck, and a long, fluffy crest atop its head. It had slender legs with three-toed paws and nine long tails with icy blue tips. Its red eyes glowed as it looked around.
Ichigo recalled Ninetales and called out, "Go Pidgeotto."
"Go Tangela," Erika said. The plant-covered Pokémon appeared on the field, flinching as it stepped on the embers left by the battle.
"Be careful where you step," Erika warned her Pokémon.
"The match between Tangela and Pidgeotto will begin."
"Tangela use Ancient Power!" Erika ordered. Tangela's body glowed white as it formed a silver energy ball in front of its tentacles and launched it at the opponent.
"Dodge it with Quick Attack!" Ichigo commanded. Pidgeotto let out a loud screech as it soared into the air, narrowly avoiding the attack.
"Tangela use Vine Whip to grab Pidgeotto!" Erika ordered. Tangela shot out its vines toward Pidgeotto.
"Pidgeotto, dodge and then go for Peck!" Ichigo shouted. Pidgeotto's beak elongated and glowed white as it dove toward Tangela. Tangela shot its tentacles forward, but Pidgeotto swerved to avoid them and struck Tangela in the face.
"Wrap it!" Erika ordered.
"Use Wing Attack to block those tentacles and keep using Peck!" Ichigo called. Pidgeotto's wings glowed white, blocking Tangela's tentacles while continuing to Peck at it.
"Tangela, use Sludge Bomb!" Erika suddenly commanded.
"Shit!" Ichigo muttered.
"Pidgeotto, use Steel Wing to protect yourself!" Ichigo ordered. Pidgeotto's wings glowed silver, and it shielded itself, but Tangela's tentacles grabbed Pidgeotto's wings, preventing it from fully blocking the attack. Tangela spewed dark brown sludge directly at Pidgeotto's face.
"Pidgeotto!" Ichigo shouted.
"Pidgeo!" Pidgeotto screeched as it began to glow.
"Another evolution?" Erika asked in surprise. Tangela tried its best to restrain Pidgeotto with its tentacles, but the glow continued. The light faded, revealing Pidgeot in his full glory. His body and wings grew larger, his claws sharper, and a decorated crest of yellow and red feathers now adorned his head. Pidgeot let out a loud screech, breaking free from Tangela's grip and soaring into the air. He dove toward Tangela, enveloped in bluish energy before crashing into it, sending it flying into the wall behind Erika.
Pidgeot landed gracefully, glaring at its opponent.
Erika glanced behind her and saw Tangela embedded in the wall. She sighed and recalled her Pokémon.
Ichigo pulled out his Poké Ball and recalled Pidgeot.
"Go Vileplume," Erika said as she released her final Pokémon.
"Go Charmeleon!" Ichigo said as he released his final Pokémon.
"$: About time, Daddy. I was getting bored of waiting. :$" Charmeleon said.
"Vileplume vs Charmeleon, begin!"
"Vileplume, use Petal Blizzard!" Erika shouted. Multiple pink petals circled around Vileplume's body, eventually growing into a tornado of swirling petals.
"Plume!" Vileplume shouted as it pointed its arms in front of it, sending the tornado of petals toward Charmeleon.
"Charmeleon, use Flamethrower!" Ichigo shouted.
"$: Yes, Daddy! :$" Charmeleon roared as it spewed flames toward the tornado. The flames quickly burned the petals, turning them into a fire tornado. "Char!" Charmeleon roared as the flames she spewed grew brighter orange. Charmeleon forced the fire tornado to move toward Vileplume.
"Vileplume get out of there!" Erika yelled.
"Charmeleon don't let Vileplume escape!" Ichigo yelled. Charmeleon ran toward Vileplume.
"Vileplume use Bullet Seed to get away!" Erika shouted. Vileplume jumped into the air and began to spit seeds from its mouth, escaping both Charmeleon and the fire tornado.
"Charmeleon watch out!" Ichigo shouted. Charmeleon looked up just in time to see the incoming fire tornado. Before Charmeleon could react, the tornado engulfed her. Ichigo and Erika watched as Charmeleon was sent flying inside the tornado. "Charmeleon use Flamethrower to force yourself out!" Ichigo shouted.
"$: I'm trying! :$" Charmeleon roared as she struggled to break free from the attack.
"Vileplume, use Petal Blizzard again!" Erika commanded. Vileplume created another tornado of petals. The two tornadoes merged, making the fire tornado much bigger and stronger. Vileplume and Erika watched with anticipation.
"So, will your Charmeleon be able to break free?" Erika asked.
"CHAR!" Charmeleon roared. Ichigo couldn't quite understand what Charmeleon had said. From the heart of the fire tornado, a white light began to shine.
"Looks like I'm right," Ichigo thought. The light slowly died down, and with a loud roar, the tornado exploded outward, revealing Charizard. This Charizard was primarily black with a pale cream underside, extending from the chest to the tip of its tail. It had a long neck, slightly raised nostrils, and two horn-like structures protruding from the back of its rectangular head. Two large wings with crimson undersides sprouted from its back, and horn-like appendages jutted from the third joint of each wing. Charizard's arms were short and skinny compared to its robust belly, and each limb ended in three white claws. Its stocky legs had pale cream soles. The tip of its long, tapering tail burned with a sizable flame. Charizard landed on the battlefield, letting out a mighty roar and glaring at Vileplume. Vileplume, now terrified, ran to its trainer.
"Return," Erika said as she recalled Vileplume. "Call off your Pokémon!" she said.
"Charizard, enough," Ichigo said in English. Charizard turned toward Ichigo. Ichigo looked into Charizard's small red eyes and saw uncontrollable rage within her. Charizard let out another coherent roar at Ichigo.
"Looks like Charizard is challenging me," Ichigo thought.
"Erika, get some Water-type Pokémon ready just in case," Ichigo said as he removed his shirt and sent out Wartortle and Milotic.
"You're not…" Erika started to say, but Ichigo walked onto the battlefield.
"Tell us when to start," Ichigo said as he got into a fighting stance. The referee sighed.
"Begin!" she shouted. Ichigo charged toward Charizard. Charizard let out a large blast of fire toward Ichigo. Ichigo swerved to the side and delivered an uppercut to Charizard's jaw, forcing it to close and causing a small explosion in her mouth. Before Charizard could retaliate, Ichigo punched her in the gut with his hands. Charizard's hands lit on fire as she countered, punching Ichigo in the face, and sending him to the ground. Ichigo quickly stood up, ignoring the light burns on his face. He ran back toward Charizard. Charizard let out another wave of fire. Ichigo jumped up, avoiding the flames, and delivered a powerful ax kick to Charizard's head, sending her to the ground. Ichigo kneeled in front of Charizard.
"$: Do you have enough? :$" Ichigo asked.
"$: My head hurts. :$" Charizard groaned. Ichigo pulled out Charizard's Poké Ball and recalled her. He then turned to Erika.
"Sorry about that," Ichigo said.
"Just get your badge and get that thing away from here," Erika said. Ichigo walked over to his side, recalling his Pokémon, and walked off the battlefield. The referee quickly left her post and met Ichigo.
"Here's your badge," she said, handing him the badge.
"Thank you," Ichigo said as he took the badge.
"Um… Erika is not liable for the burn," she quickly added.
"Don't worry about it. It'll heal in a bit," Ichigo reassured her as he left the gym. He walked to the Pokémon Center and gave Nurse Joy his Pokémon. As he waited for them to fully heal, Ichigo glanced outside the Pokémon Center and saw the Celadon Game Corner.
"In the game, the Celadon Game Corner was a front for Team Rocket's operations," Ichigo thought. "This might be able to push Wartortle, Ivysaur, Metang, and Roselia to evolve."
"Ichigo, your Pokémon are ready," Nurse Joy said through the intercom. Ichigo walked over and picked up his Pokémon. He then went to his room and entered the trainer.
Scene Change: Trainer
Ichigo stood in an empty field. He released Ninetales, Charizard, and Pidgeot. Charizard appeared slightly nervous.
"How are all of you feeling?" Ichigo asked. Pidgeot let out a screech.
"Pidgeot said he feels great," Ninetales translated. "While I feel good." Ichigo nodded as he looked at Charizard.
"$: What about you? :$" Ichigo asked.
"$: Embarrassed. :$" Charizard answered. Ichigo chuckled.
"$: It's fine. :$" Ichigo said. "$: The damage has already healed. :$"
"$: Ok. :$" Ichigo pulled out his Pokédex and scanned Charizard.
"This Charizard is Female, Fire/Dragon-type, 7 feet tall, and has the Blaze ability. The current known moves are Flamethrower, Slash, Smokescreen, Dragonbreath, Fire Fang, Fire Claw, Dragon Claw, Overheat, and Outrage. Note this Pokémon's physical appearance and typing combination are unusual. Please rescan Poké Ball to attempt fixing anomalies." Ichigo moved to Ninetales.
"This Ninetales is Female, Fire/Psychic-type, 4 feet tall, and has the Flash Fire ability. The current known moves are Confuse Ray, Will-O-Wisp, Double Team, Psychic, Flame Burst, Flamethrower, and Sunny Day. Note this Pokémon's physical appearance and typing combination are unusual. Please rescan Poké Ball to attempt fixing anomalies." Ichigo moved to Pidgeot.
"This Pidgeot is Male, Normal/Flying-type, 5 feet tall, and has the Keen Eye ability. The current known moves are Peck, Quick Attack, Feather Dance, Agility, Wing Attack, Steel Wing, and Brave Bird."
"Pidgeot, do you think you could teach Charizard that Brave Bird?"
"Pidgeot doesn't know, but he can try," Ninetales translated.
"Please do so," Ichigo said. Charizard and Pidgeot flew up in the air. Ichigo called out Metang, Wartortle, Ivysaur, Roselia, Milotic, Gengar, Kirlia, and Yami.
"Tonight, we are going to raid one of Team Rocket's secret bases," Ichigo said. Everyone nodded in agreement. "Gengar, Yami, and Kirlia will stay in the shadows, watching my back. Team Rocket hopefully doesn't know about your existence."
"Yes, Daddy," Kirlia replied.
"Charizard, Ninetales, Milotic, and Gengar will be my hidden aces if needed."
"Why?" Ninetales asked.
"I'll use Metang, Wartortle, Ivysaur, and Roselia throughout the raid. Team Rocket will underestimate us just by seeing them," Ichigo explained.
"$: What about the other Pokémon? :$" Milotic asked.
"When we travel from Saffron City to Fuchsia City, I'll have them out and training," Ichigo said. Charizard and Pidgeot landed on the ground.
"$: Look what I can do! :$" Charizard said as she leaped into the air. Blue flames surrounded her as she crashed through a few trees. Charizard returned to the group. "$: I can also do something similar with draconic energy. :$"
Ichigo pulled out Charizard's Poké Ball and scanned it with the Pokédex. He ignored everything until it reached the current known moves.
"- Outrage, Flame Charge, and Dragon Rush," the Pokédex said.
"Did both of you hear everything I said?"
"$: Yes, we did. :$" Charizard replied.
"Good," Ichigo replied as he recalled his Pokémon and exited the trainer.
Scene Change: Celadon City: Pokémon Center
Ichigo reappeared in his room. He glanced at the clock. It was getting late. Ichigo released Gengar, Yami, and Kirlia. They dove into Ichigo's shadow. Ichigo walked out of the Pokémon Center and entered the Celadon Game Corner. The place was brightly lit, full of poker tables and slot machines.
"Looks exactly like a casino," Ichigo thought as he walked around. "According to the game, the entrance is at the end of the Game Corner, near a poster, which hides the button to open the entrance."
Ichigo arrived at the back of the Game Corner. He spotted a desk where guests could exchange their coins for prizes. Beside it was a sign pointing toward the restroom. Ichigo walked down the hallway and spotted the entrance to the restrooms.
"This would likely be where they hid the door," Ichigo thought as he began looking for the button. "I think I found it," he thought, pushing the button to reveal the secret entrance. Ichigo sneaked in, and the door closed behind him.
He stepped into a well-lit hallway.
"Schrift E: The Earth," Ichigo thought, activating the schrift. He tapped the ground, allowing the vibrations to give him a map of the Team Rocket Base. "Looks like I need to go straight," Ichigo thought as he walked forward. "Hm... Looks like we've got a few Grunts."
"HEY!" someone shouted. Ichigo looked to see a few Team Rocket Grunts approaching. They released two Raticates and a Koffing.
"Metang, use Metal Claw," Ichigo said as he released his Pokémon. Before the Grunts could react, Metang knocked out their Pokémon with a silvery punch. Ichigo turned to the frightened Grunts.
"Legilimens," Ichigo mentally cast at the Grunts. "Looks like I need a Key Card to access the other rooms." Ichigo knocked the Grunts out and stole the Key Card from them. He hid them in an empty room with their unconscious Pokémon.
"Master," Metang said.
"Yes?" Ichigo replied.
"That wasn't Metal Claw. It was an attack called Bullet Punch."
"I see…" Ichigo said. Suddenly, an alarm went off. "Shit," Ichigo thought as Team Rocket Grunts flooded the hallway, some holding Poké Balls, ready to release them.
"Metang, knock them out," Ichigo ordered. Metang pulled its arms back, and light blue orbs appeared at the end of its claws. Metang rapidly spun toward the Grunts and knocked them out.
"I learned Gyro Ball," Metang said.
"Great," Ichigo replied. They ran past the unconscious Grunts. Ichigo used the Key Card to access all the locked rooms. He found many Pokémon in cages. Ichigo released Ninetales.
"Yes Daddy?" she asked.
"I'm going to release these Pokémon and get them out of here," Ichigo instructed, walking to a nearby computer. He began pressing keys, and an alarm in the room went off as the cage doors opened.
"Gengar," Ichigo called. Gengar rose out of the shadow.
"You will hide in Ninetales's shadow and keep an eye out for her," Ichigo said.
"Gen," Gengar replied as she slipped into Ninetales's shadow. Ninetales briefly shuddered.
"Are you okay?" Ichigo asked.
"I am," Ninetales reassured him. Ninetales led the injured Pokémon out while Ichigo and Metang ventured further down. They eventually arrived at a room with two Team Rocket Grunts standing guard. Metang knocked them out with Bullet Punch. The door slid open as they entered, revealing a man sitting at a desk. He wore a long-sleeved black shirt with a large V-neck that revealed a white undershirt, black slightly baggy dress pants, and black shoes. On his left breast was the signature red R of Team Rocket. On his lap sat a Persian.
"About time you got here," he said, continuing to pet his Persian.
"Who are you?" Ichigo said, deciding to pretend not to know who he was. Giovanni chuckled.
"I am the leader of Team Rocket, boy," he said, standing up. "You've been a small thorn in my side for a while now," Giovanni said as he took out a Poké Ball. "Do you know what Team Rocket does to thorns?" he asked, throwing the Poké Ball in the air. The Poké Ball opened to reveal a Nidoking. Nidoking glared at Ichigo.
"We destroy them," Giovanni said with a glare. "Nidoking, Double Kick."
Nidoking's feet glowed white as he jumped into the air above Metang and descended toward him, ready to kick.
"Metang, dodge it with Magnet Rise and use Psychic," Ichigo replied. Metang shot up in the air, avoiding Nidoking's feet. He glared at the floating Metang. Metang waved a burst of psychic energy at Nidoking, lifting him and throwing him toward the ground. Nidoking crashed, but quickly got up, glaring at Metang.
"Shadow Claw!" Giovanni ordered. Nidoking's arms glowed violet with ghostly energy as he charged toward Metang.
"Dodge it and use Metal Claw!" Ichigo ordered. Metang's arms glowed silver as he dove toward Nidoking. Nidoking tried to attack Metang, but Metang swerved to the side and struck Nidoking in the back.
"Nido!" Nidoking cried in pain.
"Grr," Giovanni growled. "Nidoqueen, Kangaskhan, and Persian," he called, throwing two more Poké Balls. A Nidoqueen, a Kangaskhan, and a Persian joined the battle. Ichigo sent out Wartortle, Ivysaur, and Roselia.
"Nidoking, Double Kick, and Shadow Claw on Metang. Nidoqueen, use Flamethrower on Ivysaur. Kangaskhan, use Thunder Punch on Wartortle. Persian, use Slash on Roselia," Giovanni ordered.
"Metang, dodge it and go for Metal Claw or Psychic on Nidoking. Wartortle uses Aqua Jet to intercept Nidoqueen, then Water Gun. Ivysaur, use Vine Whip to get on Kangaskhan, then use Strength Sap and Giga Drain. Roselia, use Magical Leaf until you get a chance to use Sleep Powder," Ichigo ordered.
Nidoking leaped in the air, his feet glowing white, and his claws glowing purple. Metang managed to avoid the attack again and raised his silver arms for a counterattack. But Nidoking hooked one of Metang's arms with his own. Nidoking tried to strike with his other arm, but Metang blocked it with his free hand. Both were stuck. Nidoking opened his mouth, ready to fire an attack when suddenly a wave of Psychic energy surrounded them. Nidoking's eyes widened as Metang freed itself and slammed Nidoking into a nearby wall. Nidoking collapsed, unconscious.
"Me-TANG!" Metang yelled in victory as light surrounded him, signaling his evolution.
Nidoqueen opened her mouth, gathering fire in it, but before she could attack, Wartortle tucked into her shell and flew, ramming into Nidoqueen's chest.
"Queen!" Nidoqueen groaned from the impact. She glared at Wartortle, who popped her head out and fired a blast of water at Nidoqueen's face, pushing Wartortle back. Nidoqueen groaned, trying to get away from the attack. Her fist glowed with golden energy as she slammed it into the ground, creating cracks that traveled toward Wartortle. Wartortle stopped her attack and quickly withdrew into her shell, activating Iron Defense. The golden energy hit Wartortle, causing a massive explosion that sent her flying. Water surrounded Wartortle before she shot back down and slammed into Nidoqueen's chest, sending her to the ground. Wartortle quickly fired another Water Gun, sending her away from Nidoqueen. Wartortle landed on the ground, staring at her opponent, who did not move.
"War-TORTLE!" Wartortle cried as light surrounded her, signaling her evolution.
Electricity gathered around Kangaskhan's fists as it prepared to attack Wartortle. Suddenly, green vines shot out, wrapping around Kangaskhan's neck. Her eyes widened in shock as she tried to tear the vines off. Ivysaur retracted the vines and sent himself toward Kangaskhan, smacking her on the back of the head. The attack caused Kangaskhan to lose focus, interrupting her Thunder Punch. Two more vines shot out from Ivysaur's back, wrapping around Kangaskhan and glowing, draining her energy. Kangaskhan struggled, but Ivysaur was too fast. Each vine Kangaskhan tore off, a bigger, thicker vine would replace it. More vines shot out of Ivysaur's back, restraining Kangaskhan and speeding up the energy drain. Kangaskhan collapsed, unconscious.
"Ivy-SAUR!" Ivysaur yelled as he began to glow white, joining his brothers in evolution.
Persian's claws glowed white and elongated as it pounced toward Roselia. Roselia flicked her flowers, sending Magical Leaves toward Persian. Persian swiped its claws, shredding the leaves. As Persian descended on Roselia, she shoved her flowers into Persian's face, releasing a large puff of Sleep Powder. Persian couldn't react in time and inhaled the powder. Immediately, the Persian began to grow drowsy. Roselia aimed her flowers at the sleepy Persian and fired a green beam, draining its energy. Within moments, Persian collapsed, fast asleep and drained of its energy.
"Rose-LIA!" Roselia cried as she joined the others in evolving.
"Damn," Giovanni mentally grumbled as he recalled his Pokémon. Using the Pokémon evolutions as a distraction, he escaped through a secret exit in his office. "Damn him."
"Looks like Giovanni is escaping through a secret door," Ichigo thought as the light from the evolutions faded, revealing his newly evolved Pokémon. Ichigo recalled them and walked over to Giovanni's desk. He noticed a few folders and a laptop on the table. Suddenly, he heard loud banging from the door. Ichigo sent the folders and laptop to his mindscape, then opened the door to find Ninetales and Officer Jenny standing there.
"Good job, Ninetales," Ichigo said, petting his Pokémon.
"I assume this is your Ninetales?" Officer Jenny asked.
"She is," Ichigo replied.
"I can also assume that you're not a member of Team Rocket?" she continued.
"I am not," Ichigo confirmed.
"So what were you doing in this room?" she asked.
"I confronted someone who proclaimed to be a high-ranking member of Team Rocket," Ichigo explained, giving a brief description of Giovanni and the Pokémon he used.
"I see… I'll inform the public to watch out for someone with that description," she said as Ichigo walked out of the room. Ninetales and Officer Jenny escorted him out of the secret Team Rocket base and out of Celadon Game Corner. Once they arrived at the Pokémon Center, Officer Jenny returned to the Game Corner.
"Before we go inside, Daddy, I need to show you something," Ninetales said. She led Ichigo behind the Pokémon Center, where the shadows flickered and revealed Gengar hiding a Magmar and Electabuzz. Ninetales' eyes glowed as she established a mental connection between them.
"So why did you seek my Ninetales out?" Ichigo asked.
"We wish to grow stronger," Magmar answered.
"To get revenge for what they did to us," Electabuzz added. Ichigo could see the anger in their eyes. He sighed.
"Fine," Ichigo said, pulling out two Poké Balls and pointing them at Magmar and Electabuzz. "I'll help you get stronger. In return, I hope we can be partners in the future." Magmar and Electabuzz nodded, tapping the Poké Balls with their hands. They were quickly absorbed into the Poké Balls. Ichigo sighed again, recalling Ninetales and Gengar. He entered the Pokémon Center and handed Nurse Joy the Pokémon he'd used during the mission.
Ten minutes later, Ichigo returned to his room. He took out Blastoise's Poké Ball and scanned it.
"This Blastoise is female, Water/Steel-type (10), 7 feet tall, and has the Rain Dish ability. The current known moves are Rapid Spin, Iron Defense, Gyro Ball, Hydro Pump, Liquidation, and Rain Dance."
Ichigo then took out Venusaur's Poké Ball and scanned it.
"This Venusaur is male, Grass/Poison-type, 6 feet 8 inches tall, and has the Chlorophyll ability. The current known moves are Poison Powder, Sleep Powder, Stun Spore, Leech Seed, Synthesis, Sludge Bomb, Vine Whip, Strength Sap, Power Whip, Giga Drain, and Leaf Storm."
Next, Ichigo took out Metang's Poké Ball and scanned it.
"This Metagross is genderless, Steel/Psychic-type, 6 feet 10 inches tall, and has the Clear Body and Heat Proof abilities. The current known moves are Bulldoze, Magnet Rise, Psychic, Gyro Ball, Bullet Punch, Zen Headbutt, Hammer Arm, and Meteor Mash. Note: This Pokémon's physical appearance is unusual. Please rescan the Poké Ball to attempt fixing anomalies."
"So this is Metagross," Ichigo thought as he put the Poké Ball away and took out Roselia's Poké Ball. He scanned it.
"This Roserade is female, Grass/Ghost-type, 5 feet 5 inches tall, and has the Poison Point and Cursed Body abilities. The current known moves are Poison Powder, Sleep Powder, Stun Spore, Leech Seed, Giga Drain, Sludge Bomb, and Shadow Ball. Note: This Pokémon's physical appearance and typing combination are unusual. Please rescan the Poké Ball to attempt fixing anomalies."
"This must be part of the experiment Team Rocket did to you," Ichigo thought as he scanned Magmar's Poké Ball.
"This Magmar is female, Fire/Fighting-type, 5 feet tall, and has the No Guard and Flash Fire abilities. The current known moves are Quick Attack, Fire Punch, Brick Break, Drain Punch, Body Slam, and Bulk Up. Note: This Pokémon's typing combination is unusual. Please rescan the Poké Ball to attempt fixing anomalies."
Ichigo then took out Electabuzz's Poké Ball and scanned it.
"This Electabuzz is female, Electric/Fighting-type, 5 feet tall, and has the No Guard and Motor Drive abilities. The current known moves are Quick Attack, Thunder Punch, Brick Break, Drain Punch, Body Slam, and Bulk Up. Note: This Pokémon's typing combination is unusual. Please rescan the Poké Ball to attempt fixing anomalies."
Ichigo sighed and put the Poké Ball away. He laid down and went to bed, his mind racing with the strange experiments Team Rocket had been conducting.
Author Notes
Ice Claw is the same as Ice Punch
Freezing Ice is the same as Flash Fire but for Ice-type attacks.
Steel Body is an ability that allows the Pokémon to be considered a Steel Type in addition to its other weaknesses. This means Alolan Geodude will receive zero damage from Poison-type attacks, an eighth damage from Flying-type attacks, a quarter damage from Normal type, half damage from Rock, Bug, Ghost, Steel, Electric, Psychic, Ice, Dragon, Fairy, Dragon, and Fairy type attacks. Fire, Grass, and Dark do neutral damage. Water does double damage, Fighting does quadruple damage, and Ground does eight times the damage.
I decided to make Magnet Pull a move instead of an ability. Imagining it in a real situation, any Pokémon with the Magnet Pull ability will be stuck to everything if they can't control it.
Geodude normally doesn't learn Bulk Up, but it can learn at least 5 Fighting-type moves and it helps with its attack and defense stats.
Reading the description and design, I decided to make it Primary Fairy first. But it will gain its psychic type later.
This is a Fairy version of Recover, which heals 40% of the damage. If it's on a Fairy Terrain, it heals an additional 20%.
Dragon Fang is a Dragon version of the Fang series of attacks.
Pollen Dance is a custom move where the user dances and shakes their head, which releases a combination of Poison Powder, Stun Spore, and Sleep Powder around the area.
Blastoise is a Water Steel type. He has giant cannons on his back.
