Chapter 71:
Scene Change: Lily of the Valley Hotel
Ichigo and Sabrina sat around a table, enjoying breakfast.
"So, which region are you planning to go to next?" Sabrina asked.
"I'm thinking of heading to Kalos next," Ichigo replied, recalling information from Arthur's memories.
"Strange pick," she commented.
"Why's that?" Ichigo asked. Sabrina pulled out her computer and a notebook.
"I spent some time looking over the remaining regions that are members of the United Regions."
"United Regions?" Ichigo asked, curious.
"I forgot you're not familiar with it," Sabrina said, realizing where Ichigo was actually from. "The United Regions, also known as UR, is an intergovernmental organization designed to maintain international peace and security, develop friendly relations between regions, promote international cooperation, and act as a center for harmonizing regional actions."
"So, which regions are part of the UR?" Ichigo asked.
"Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, and Galar," Sabrina explained.
"So why did you react like that?" Ichigo asked.
"It took five years of petitioning before the UR allowed Kalos and Alola to join," Sabrina said, tapping her pen thoughtfully.
"Does it usually take that long for a region to be admitted?" Ichigo asked.
"No," she replied, scanning her notes. "Unova and Galar were accepted in under a year. Alola had difficulties due to its unique approach to forming its Pokémon League and the fact that it consists of four large islands."
"What about Kalos?" Ichigo asked.
"Kalos is interesting," Sabrina began. "Historically, it was closed off from the rest of the Pokémon World. Despite that, they always remained financial backers during wars."
"Oh?" Ichigo said, intrigued.
"During the Warring Region period, where Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh were at war with each other, Kalos sent funds and resources to all sides. Historians believe that if Kalos had supported only one region—or none at all—the war might have ended sooner."
"I see…" Ichigo said thoughtfully.
"A decade ago, Champion Diantha dethroned former Champion Lysandre, and she began slowly opening up the region. The UR hesitated to accept Kalos until recently," Sabrina continued.
"Even so, I still plan to go to Kalos," Ichigo said firmly.
"Very well," Sabrina said, booking two tickets to Kalos. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.
"Are you expecting someone?" Sabrina asked.
"No," Ichigo replied. He walked over and peeked out to see Cynthia standing outside his hotel room. Ichigo opened the door.
"Hello, Cynthia."
"Hello, Ichigo. May I come in?" she asked.
"Sure," Ichigo replied, stepping aside to let her in. "What can I do for you?"
"I wanted to give you this as a small token of my appreciation for what you did for Sinnoh." Cynthia handed him a box. Ichigo opened it to reveal five mega stones.
"I noticed from your public records that your Infernape, Staraptor, Salamence, Weavile, and Absol didn't have a Mega Stone," she said.
"Thank you," Ichigo said, accepting the gift.
"Did you hear anything strange last night?" Cynthia asked, her tone lowering slightly.
"No," Ichigo replied. They both looked at Sabrina, who shook her head. "What happened?"
"Early this morning, one of the hotel staff found Tobias's room unlocked. She looked inside and discovered his shriveled body on the ground."
"What!?" Sabrina exclaimed.
"Was his Legendary Pokémon missing?" Ichigo asked, his expression serious.
"Indeed," Cynthia said, nodding.
"May I see the crime scene?" Ichigo asked.
"Why?" Cynthia asked, confused.
"We should take a seat," Ichigo suggested. Everyone sat down as Ichigo told them about Alto Mare and the attempted kidnapping of Latios & Latias. "I want to check if there are any traces of Dark Aura at the crime scene." Cynthia nodded.
"Sure, I'll take you there," she said.
Cynthia led Ichigo and Sabrina down the hallway. They soon arrived at a police blockade.
"Good morning, Champion Cynthia, Deus-Cardinal Ichigo," the officers greeted.
"Good morning, gentlemen," Cynthia responded. The officers opened the blockade, letting them pass. Ichigo walked into the room. There was white tape on the floor, outlining Tobias's body. Ichigo could faintly feel the presence of Dark Aura in the room.
"Do you feel anything?" Cynthia whispered.
"I'll answer later," Ichigo replied, keeping his voice low. They returned to Ichigo's room shortly after.
"Well?" Cynthia asked.
"I didn't want to say anything earlier, in case the perpetrator left any bugs to listen in on us," Ichigo warned.
"I see…" Cynthia said, understanding his caution.
"Anyway, I did find traces of Dark Aura in the room," Ichigo answered.
"Do you have any leads?" she asked.
"I do," Ichigo said. "They had spies in Team Galactic and were waiting for an opportunity to steal the Legendary Pokémon Team Galactic acquired. From what I've gathered, they're members of Team Яeverse, located in Kalos."
"I assume that's where you're heading?" Cynthia asked.
"Exactly," Ichigo confirmed.
"So, this is why you want to go to Kalos?" Sabrina asked. Ichigo nodded.
"Be careful there," Cynthia advised before leaving Ichigo's room.
Ichigo and Sabrina packed their bags, and with their Pokémon, they teleported away.
Scene Change: Kalos: Unknown Location
In a well-lit office, a person sat in an office chair, watching a recording of Ichigo's Elite Four Challenge.
"This Ichigo is much stronger than he appears," the person said, continuing to watch the matches. The screen soon showed Ichigo unleashing Yami. The person narrowed their eyes at the screen. They reached for a white mask, featuring a red alpha on the left eye and a black omega on the right. After securing the mask, they pressed a button on the desk, turning on a microphone.
"Get me, Commander Beta," the person ordered.
"Yes, Grand Commander," the recipient replied before the connection was severed. A few minutes later, the screen displaying Ichigo's match with Cynthia was replaced by a young man in a black tuxedo. He wore a white mask with a blue beta symbol around his left eye.
"You asked for me, Grand Commander?" Commander Beta asked.
"Yes," the Grand Commander said. "Why didn't you report to me that Team Galactic failed?"
"I wasn't one hundred percent sure they failed since Commander Cyrus is still MIA," he replied.
"Watch this," the Grand Commander said, sharing the recording of Ichigo's match against Cynthia, which transitioned to Ichigo revealing the truth about Team Galactic. "Now, should I consider this a mission failure?"
"Yes, Grand Commander," Commander Beta admitted. "But I managed to acquire something to compensate for my failure."
"What is it?" the Grand Commander asked. Commander Beta pulled out a briefcase.
"I was able to acquire Trainer Tobias's Pokémon," he said. The Grand Commander nodded.
"While it's not as grand as capturing Dialga or Palkia, more Legendary Pokémon certainly doesn't hurt," the Grand Commander admitted. Just then, a small notification popped up on the Grand Commander's screen.
"It seems both Gamma and Epsilon are calling me," the Grand Commander said. The screen split, showing both Commander Gamma and Commander Epsilon in the call.
"What is it, Gamma?" the Grand Commander asked.
"Grand Commander, it appears that Deus-Cardinal Ichigo and Ace Trainer Sabrina are coming to Kalos," Gamma reported.
"I see... Did they say why they're coming here?" the Grand Commander asked.
"They didn't mention, but I believe they've found clues leading them here," she replied.
"Tell our Slaves and Squires to keep an eye on them," the Grand Commander ordered.
"Yes, sir," Gamma said.
"What about you, Epsilon?" the Grand Commander asked. Commander Epsilon opened a briefcase, revealing eight Dark Balls to the other Commanders and the Grand Commander.
"Grand Commander, Behemoth, and I successfully captured Zekrom, Reshiram, Kyurem, and Team Plasma's data on the Original Dragon," he reported.
"Excellent," the Grand Commander said. "Were you able to capture any other Legendary Pokémon?"
"Unfortunately, Team Plasma and Behemoth's members failed to spot any other Legendary Pokémon, but we found something else," Commander Epsilon said, pressing a button to reveal a bipedal, insect-shaped Pokémon with a metallic body and a saucer-shaped head. It was primarily purple, with several gray markings. "This was revived from a Fossil, and Team Plasma enhanced it further."
"I see... I assume the other five Dark Balls in the briefcase are for this Pokémon?" the Grand Commander asked.
"That is correct, Grand Commander," Commander Epsilon confirmed.
"Did you enslave Team Plasma?" the Grand Commander asked.
"Unfortunately, no. The Empress of Team Plasma discovered us and forced us to destroy our way out of Unova," Epsilon explained.
"Right," Commander Gamma interrupted. "You probably stole the Legendaries right in front of them and had to fight your way out."
"I did not!" Commander Epsilon quickly retorted.
"Did you?" the Grand Commander asked, giving Epsilon a stern look.
"I did..." Epsilon admitted. The Grand Commander sighed quietly.
"Commander Epsilon, you and the remaining members of Behemoth are to return to base," the Grand Commander ordered.
"Yes, Grand Commander," Commander Epsilon replied.
"Commander Beta, you and the remaining members of the Night Lords are also to return to base," the Grand Commander continued.
"Yes, Grand Commander," Commander Beta said.
"Commander Gamma, you and the remaining members of the Black Legion are to be on status level 2," the Grand Commander added.
"Yes, Grand Commander, but I have a question," Gamma responded.
"Ask," the Grand Commander said.
"What about Commander Delta?" Gamma asked.
"I will contact her," the Grand Commander said. A few minutes later, the display added a new face: a woman wearing a white mask with a silver delta symbol on her left eye.
"Grand Commander, you requested me?" she asked.
"Yes. I need you to return to Headquarters. The rest of the Blood Angels will remain in Alola for the time being," the Grand Commander ordered.
"Yes, Grand Commander," Commander Delta replied.
"All of you are dismissed," the Grand Commander concluded.
"Yes, Grand Commander Alphis-Omega!" they all responded before ending the call. Grand Commander Alphis-Omega removed the mask and walked over to a bookshelf, pulling out a book. The bookshelf slid open to reveal a small safe. Alphis-Omega entered a series of passwords, and the safe clicked open.
"Soon, we will be the ones in control. The Age of the Legends shall end, and the Age of Man shall begin!" Alphis-Omega thought, staring at the five Dark Balls, which continuously absorbed Dark Aura.
Scene Change: Lumiose City
After a twelve-hour flight, Ichigo and Sabrina finally arrived in Kalos. As they exited the plane, Ichigo felt someone's intense gaze on him. This stare was different from the usual recognition of him as a Cardinal or Deus-Cardinal. This was someone observing him with deliberate focus. With his heightened senses, Ichigo quickly located the observer.
"She's surrounded by a dark aura," Ichigo thought as they turned a corner, the feeling of being watched sharply diminishing. He pulled Sabrina into a nearby alleyway.
"Ichigo, what are you doing?" Sabrina asked.
"Someone's watching us," Ichigo replied telepathically, as he sent out his Gengar, Chandelure, and Malware. "I want you three to locate this person and incapacitate them."
"How will we know who the person is?" Malware asked.
Ichigo summoned a fragment of the crystal from the Dark Ball. Immediately, Gengar, Chandelure, and Malware recoiled.
"Our observer is covered in this dark aura," Ichigo said, sending the crystal back into his mindscape.
"We'll try our best," Malware replied before the trio vanished into the shadows. Ichigo and Sabrina resumed walking. As they approached the Pokémon Center, Ichigo felt the intense stare return. It didn't take long before the feeling disappeared. They rounded another corner, where Malware emerged from the shadows.
"Follow me," Malware said. They followed him to the top of a building, where they could see a small young girl with shiny golden-blonde hair tied in a side ponytail. She wore a brown short-sleeved top with a soft black bow on the neckline, knee-length black compression shorts covered by a puffy white skirt resembling a cloud, and pink-colored shoes.
"I recognize her," Sabrina said, pulling out her laptop.
"You do?" Ichigo asked.
"Her name is Bonnie. She's the little sister of Clemont, the Gym Leader of Lumiose City," Sabrina replied, showing a picture of a skinny young boy with fair skin, gray eyes obscured by his large round glasses, and messy, medium-length bright yellow hair with a lightning-bolt-shaped tuft on top. He wore a pair of black shoes with white soles and a yellow-collared, skin-tight blue jumpsuit with yellow stripes on the knees and cuffs. Ichigo walked over to Sabrina and gently opened her eyelid.
"Legilimens," Ichigo mentally cast. He delved into her mind. A few moments later, Ichigo withdrew.
"What did you find?" Sabrina asked.
"She and many of the residents of Lumiose City are victims of mind control through the use of dark aura," Ichigo began. Sabrina's eyes widened.
"Mind control? Did you find out who is mind-controlling everyone?" Sabrina asked.
"Clemont is the one who mind-controlled her, and she reports to him," Ichigo said.
"So, he's our current lead," Sabrina concluded. Ichigo nodded as he stood up.
"What about Bonnie?" Sabrina asked.
"We have to leave her. Her mind control isn't something we can remove," Ichigo said.
"Why?"
"When she was young, she was taught to listen to Clemont, regardless of what others say or do. When he used the dark aura on her, it reinforced this belief. So even if we remove the dark aura influencing her, she would still be loyal to Clemont," Ichigo explained.
"I see…" Sabrina said. Ichigo and Sabrina sneaked down and walked toward the Pokémon Center. As they entered, Ichigo could sense the dark aura surrounding the room. He walked up to Nurse Joy.
"Welcome! What can I do for you?" she asked happily.
"I was wondering if I can challenge the gym leaders," Ichigo asked.
"Unfortunately, the Kalos League just ended. If you wait a few months, the Kalos League will open again," Nurse Joy replied.
"I see…" Ichigo said.
"Don't Gym Leaders still accept challenges from Trainers, even when the league isn't officially open?" Sabrina asked.
"Well, yes…" Nurse Joy answered. "Though Gym Leaders aren't allowed to give out gym badges until the next Kalos League starts."
"Great," Ichigo said. "Thanks for answering my questions." Ichigo and Sabrina left the Pokémon Center. As soon as they stepped outside, Nurse Joy's cheerful expression shifted to one of emptiness. She clicked a few commands on her keyboard, and the screen lit up with Clemont's face.
"Yes, Slave L10?" Clemont asked in a cold voice.
"Slave L10 wishes to report that the two heretics are coming to challenge you for a gym battle," Slave L10/Nurse Joy said in a monotone voice.
"Have Slave L21-L42 on standby near the gym. Slave 1 will inform our master of the situation," Clemont ordered.
"Slave L10 understands and obeys," Slave L10/Nurse Joy replied. Clemont ended the call. Nurse Joy tapped a few more commands, and the screen lit up again, showing Officer Jenny's face.
"Slave L21 is ready to receive orders," Slave L21/Officer Jenny said in a monotone voice.
"Slave L10 was ordered by Slave L1 to inform Slave L21-L42 to be on standby near Lumiose Gym. The heretics are planning to challenge Slave L1 to a gym battle," Slave L10/Nurse Joy relayed.
"Slave L21 understands and obeys," Slave L21/Officer Jenny replied before ending the call. Nurse Joy closed the commands, and her emotionless face returned to normal.
Scene Change: Outside the Pokémon Center
"Malware, once we arrive at the gym, try to hack into the gym's security system," Ichigo ordered.
"Okay," Malware replied. "Do you want me to snoop around while I'm in there?"
"Good idea," Ichigo thought. "Gengar, when Clemont shows himself, immediately use Hypnosis on him."
"Got it," Gengar replied.
"Chandelure, do the same for anyone else in the gym."
"You got it," Chandelure replied. They soon arrived at Lumiose Gym and stood in front of the door.
"Halt. Who is there?" an electronic voice asked.
"I wish to challenge Gym Leader Clemont," Ichigo answered.
"The Kalos League is currently closed. If you challenge Gym Leader Clemont, you won't be able to receive a gym badge," the voice replied.
"I'm aware of that," Ichigo said.
"What is your name?" the voice asked.
"Deus-Cardinal Ichigo," Ichigo answered.
"Ace Trainer Sabrina," Sabrina added.
"Very well," the voice responded. "Please enter. Gym Leader Clemont will see you soon." The doors opened. As Ichigo and Sabrina entered, Malware slipped out of Ichigo's shadow, beginning to hack into the gym's security system. They walked down the hallway, and Ichigo noticed a small terminal that briefly flashed an orange checkmark before disappearing.
"It seems like Malware got in," Ichigo thought.
"Good," Sabrina replied. They soon arrived at a battlefield, where they spotted Clemont on the other side.
"Good morning, Deus-Cardinal Ichigo and Ace Trainer Sabrina. Welcome to Lumiose City and my gym," Clemont greeted.
"Thank you for agreeing to have a match with us," Ichigo replied. They began walking toward the middle of the battlefield.
"I can sense the dark aura from him," Ichigo said.
"I think I'm beginning to sense the difference," Sabrina thought. They met in the middle of the battlefield, and Ichigo and Sabrina shook Clemont's hand.
"Is a three-on-three battle okay?" Clemont asked.
"Sure," Ichigo said, and Sabrina nodded. Everyone turned around and began to walk back. The referee took his position in the middle of the battlefield.
"The match between Deus-Cardinal Ichigo and…" the referee began. Suddenly, the lights went out. Gengar and Chandelure used the opportunity to cast Hypnosis on Clemont and the referee, knocking them unconscious. The lights flickered back on. Gengar lowered Clemont to the ground. Ichigo walked over.
"Legilimens," he cast. Ichigo quickly delved into Clemont's mind. "To think this organization also has the other gym leaders under their control," Ichigo thought as he continued to probe deeper into Clemont's memories. He uncovered a moment when Clemont attended a scientific conference and met Ryan, who took the opportunity to inject Clemont with Dark Aura, forcing him under Ryan's control. "So, this Ryan was the one who mind-controlled Clemont," Ichigo thought as he pulled out of Clemont's mind. Ichigo walked over to a nearby computer and typed in Ryan's name. Soon, Ryan's Trainer profile appeared.
"Name: Ryan Granblue. Trainer Rank: Ace Trainer. Occupation: Assistant to Elite Four Napoleon." Ichigo exited the profile.
"What did you find?" Sabrina asked.
"Clemont was mind-controlled by someone named Ryan Granblue. The same person who placed spies in Team Galactic," Ichigo said.
"What?" Sabrina replied. Ichigo quickly recounted what had happened when he freed the Lake Trio. Suddenly, Malware's face appeared on the screen.
"Um… we got a small problem." The screen changed to a live feed from outside the gym, where Officer Jenny and her officers were beginning to form a barricade around the building.
"So, what's the plan now?" Sabrina asked.
"Malware, were you able to find out where the Elite Four's Headquarters is?" Ichigo asked.
"Give me a few moments," Malware replied.
"You're thinking of going to their Headquarters?" Sabrina asked. Ichigo nodded.
"Ryan is an assistant to the Elite Four, which means either he's the mastermind behind this, and he's managed to get the Elite Four under his control, or he's just a minion, and the Elite Four is the true mastermind," Ichigo explained.
"That… makes sense," Sabrina replied. Malware's face returned on screen.
"Their headquarters is actually close by," Malware said. The screen changed to a map, with Malware controlling a pointer. "We are here in Lumiose City, and the headquarters is located east of us."
"Likely we'll need to fly there," Ichigo said.
"Based on Pidgeot's and Charizard's speed, it should take us a day of nonstop flying, assuming we don't get intercepted by these minions," Malware added. The screen switched back to the live feed outside, where Arcanines and Elektrikes surrounded the barriers, glaring at the gym doors.
"So, are we attacking immediately?" Sabrina asked.
"No," Ichigo replied. Malware and Sabrina looked at him, confused.
"I wouldn't be surprised if Route 4 and Santalune City are swarming with Team Яeverse members, ready to ambush us," Ichigo added.
"So, what would you propose?" Sabrina asked.
"Can your Alakazams find each other's location?" Ichigo asked.
"I'm not sure," Sabrina replied, then asked her Alakazams the question. "According to them, they can," Sabrina said.
Ichigo nodded. "Malware, are there any secret exits in this gym?"
"Let me check." Malware quickly searched Clemont's files. "There is one, but it leads to the sewers."
"Excellent," Ichigo said. "I'll act as bait to lead everyone to Route 4. That will give you two the chance to use the secret exit to leave Lumiose City. With the help of your Alakazams, I can teleport to your location."
"That sounds good, but won't they notice if only one person leaves the gym?" Malware asked.
"Not if I use Zoroark to create an illusion of Sabrina and have her ride Pidgeot," Ichigo said.
"That would work," Malware agreed.
"But that puts you in danger," Sabrina said.
"Don't worry about me. I can handle it," Ichigo replied with a smile. Sabrina sighed and handed Ichigo one of her Alakazams.
"Please be safe," she said.
"I will." Ichigo sent out his Zoroark. "Make yourself look like Sabrina," he instructed. Zoroark cast an illusion, transforming into Sabrina. "See you in a bit," Ichigo said. Sabrina nodded and ran toward the exit. Ichigo and the disguised Zoroark walked toward the gym's entrance. Ichigo sent out Garchomp, Pidgeot, and Charizard.
"Garchomp, when I open the doors, I want you to use Earthquake," Ichigo ordered. Garchomp nodded.
"Zoroark will climb on Pidgeot, and all of us will fly southeast," Ichigo continued. Pidgeot and Charizard nodded.
"Malware, is Sabrina at the exit?" Ichigo asked.
"She's there," Malware replied.
"Open the door. As soon as we leave, go with Sabrina," Ichigo instructed. The front doors opened. Garchomp leaped out, slamming the ground with an Earthquake that shook the surrounding area. The police officers and Pokémon were startled by the attack, many losing their balance, while others held onto something to stay upright. Ichigo mounted Charizard, and Zoroark climbed onto Pidgeot. Charizard, Pidgeot, and Garchomp took to the skies.
"Don't let them get away!" Officer Jenny yelled. The Arcanine used Flamethrower, while the Elektrikes launched Thunderbolt. Garchomp protected Charizard and Pidgeot from the attacks. "After them!" The officers mounted Arcanines and chased after them on foot.
"All part of the plan," Ichigo thought. After leaving the city, they flew for about twenty minutes before Ichigo had them land.
"Good job, everyone," Ichigo said as he recalled his Pokémon. He closed his eyes and used Schrift E: The Earth to detect the officers' location. "They should be here in ten minutes," he thought, pulling out the Alakazam Poké Ball. Just then, a wild Pokémon flew out from the forest toward him. It had three heads shaped like a hexagonal honeycomb, positioned in an upside-down triangle. The bottom head had a small red triangle, and the upper "bees" each had one wing and an antenna. The lowermost "bee" had a striped abdomen.
"Hello," Ichigo said. The Pokémon glanced at him, then at the Alakazam Poké Ball. "You want to come with me?" Ichigo asked. The Pokémon nodded.
"They should be here somewhere!" someone shouted. Ichigo quickly threw a Poké Ball, catching the bee Pokémon, and then released Alakazam.
"Teleport us to Sabrina's location," Ichigo ordered. Alakazam's eyes glowed before they teleported away.
Scene Change: With Sabrina
Sabrina walked down the gym hallway, finding a changing room with yellow overalls, hardhats, tool belts, and toolboxes. She quickly donned the disguise, making herself look like an engineer.
"Good idea wearing a disguise," Malware commented. Sabrina soon reached the secret exit. "Are you ready?" Malware asked.
"I am," Sabrina replied.
"Go," Malware said, leaving the computer terminal and slipping into Sabrina's shadow. She sprinted down the exit. After five minutes of running, she reached a ladder and quickly climbed up. At the top, she found a latch.
"Let me see if it's clear," Malware said as it floated out of her shadow and up to the surface. It returned shortly. "It's clear." Sabrina pushed open the latch and stood up. They appeared to be in a small cave. She closed the latch and covered it up before walking along Route 16. She was nearing the end of the route when suddenly, Ichigo and Alakazam teleported in.
"Nice overalls," Ichigo joked, noticing her disguise. Sabrina shrugged and held out her hand. Ichigo returned Alakazam's Poké Ball to her, and she recalled her Pokémon.
"Do you have anything to disguise yourself?" Ichigo asked, snapping his fingers and transforming into Kaien Shiba. He was dressed in a white T-shirt with short red sleeves and a red fleur-de-lis, blue jeans, red-and-white sneakers, and a red cap (1).
"Must be nice to know otherworldly magic," Sabrina said.
"I could help you," Ichigo offered.
"Sure," Sabrina replied. Ichigo transfigured her clothes. She now wore a dark pink hat with a black band and white sunglasses perched on top, a black tank top, a red pleated skirt, black thigh-high stockings, and black sneakers (2).
They continued walking along Route 16, stopping for lunch. Suddenly, the bushes behind them rustled, and someone stepped out.
A tall, slender young woman appeared. She had fair skin, green eyes, and long chartreuse green hair tied into a low fluffy ponytail with shorter strands framing her face. She wore a white, mid-sleeved shirt with a black one underneath, cider green slip-on shoes, and beige skinny-fit pants. Her most notable feature was her hat, which was white and black with a black peak.
"Hello," she greeted.
"Hello," Ichigo replied. Sabrina nodded in acknowledgment.
"Do you mind if I join you for lunch?" the woman asked.
"Sure," Ichigo said. "The name's Katen and this is Serena."
"Oh, my name's N," she said. They continued eating in silence.
"Ichigo, she might also be a chosen one," Lugia interjected.
"How can you tell, Lugia?" Ichigo asked.
"I can faintly sense the aura of the Tao Trio," Lugia replied. Ichigo briefly closed his eyes and focused, sensing the residual energy lingering on her.
"I also sense traces of dark aura," Ichigo added.
"Maybe she's a victim of Team Яeverse as well," Lugia theorized.
"So, N, where are you from?" Ichigo asked, breaking the silence.
"I'm from Unova," N replied. "And you?"
"We're both from Kanto," Ichigo answered, snapping his fingers. A privacy barrier appeared around them, blocking any eavesdropping or observation. "Are you here to try and reclaim your stolen Legendaries?" he asked bluntly. N's eyes widened.
"H-How did you know?" she asked.
"You have a residual aura from a Legendary Pokémon," Ichigo explained. "I can also sense the dark aura around you, indicating you've been indirectly exposed to it."
"That's exactly right," she said. "I was the figurehead leader of Team Plasma. Our goal was to free Pokémon from their Trainers." Ichigo and Sabrina nodded in understanding. "But Ghetsis, my adopted father, used Team Plasma to take over Unova. We spent countless hours researching Unovan mythos to find Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem, hoping to use their power to achieve Team Plasma's goal. Our mission was realized when we discovered the Yin Orb, the Yang Orb (3), and the Void Orb."
"What were these Orbs for?" Sabrina asked, recalling how Cyrus had used the Orbs to summon Dialga and Palkia to their dimensions.
"The Orbs act as eggs for Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem," N explained.
"I see…" Sabrina said.
"Anyways, we took them back to our headquarters. One of our scientists theorized that we needed to give the Orbs energy for the Pokémon to 'hatch.' So, we used electrical energy for Zekrom, thermal energy for Reshiram, and ice energy for Kyurem. Eventually, the Orbs began to break open, revealing Zekrom, Reshiram, and Kyurem. Before we could do anything, someone captured them in strange-looking Poké Balls."
"Did they look like this?" Ichigo asked, summoning the broken Dark Balls. N's eyes widened.
"That's exactly it," she said.
"He's likely a spy sent by Team Яeverse," Ichigo said, returning the destroyed Dark Balls to his mindscape.
"I can feel and understand the emotions of Pokémon," N continued. "When he released Zekrom, Reshiram, and Kyurem, I couldn't sense anything except obedience to him. He ordered them to intimidate us, and all three let out a terrifying roar. We all felt a wave of energy pressing down on us. Everyone panicked and ran away. One of the Sages activated a self-destruct feature in the headquarters, blowing it up."
"How did you know to come here?" Ichigo asked.
"I checked the spy's profile. He listed himself as from Kalos," N answered.
"I see…" Ichigo murmured.
"Either the spy is an idiot, or it's a trap," Ichigo thought.
"Are you also here to get revenge against them?" N asked.
"We are," Ichigo replied, returning to his true form. N's eyes widened.
"You're Deus-Cardinal Ichigo."
"I am," Ichigo confirmed.
"Then you must be Sabrina," N guessed.
"I am," Sabrina replied.
"Allow me to properly introduce myself," N said. "My full name is Naturia Harmonia Gropius."
Ichigo transformed back into Kaien, and he and Sabrina explained their situation to Naturia.
"So, you think Team Яeverse has taken over the Elite Four?" Naturia asked.
"We hope so," Sabrina replied.
"The other possibility is that Team Яeverse is the Elite Four," Ichigo added.
"That would be the worst-case scenario," Naturia said.
As they finished their break, Ichigo remembered his new Pokémon and scanned it.
"This Combee is a female Bug/Flying-type, 1 foot 2 inches tall, with the Honey Gather ability. The current known moves are Sweet Scent, Gust, Struggle Bug, and Bug Bite," the Pokédex said.
Ichigo had Combee out as they resumed their walk. She took care of most of the wild Pokémon they encountered on Route 16 and Route 15. They eventually reached the outskirts of Dendemille Town. They booked two rooms at an inn for the night. Ichigo checked the rooms for any bugs and cast privacy spells before they could relax. Ichigo turned on the TV, tuning to a news channel where two reporters were speaking.
"Thank you for joining us," the first reporter began. "Two individuals have been discovered attacking the Lumiose City Gym and Gym Leader Clemont."
"Currently, Gym Leader Clemont is in the hospital, being treated for multiple head concussions and undergoing a mental evaluation," the second reporter continued.
"According to eyewitnesses, a man with long orange hair and a woman with black hair was spotted fleeing the scene, using a Garchomp, a Charizard, and a Pidgeot."
"Elite Four Malva has just arrived outside the Lumiose Gym and is holding a press conference on the situation," the first reporter added.
The screen switched to show a young woman with slightly tanned skin and pink hair tied into a ponytail, with curls framing her face. Her eyes were hidden behind a pair of red-shaded sunglasses. She wore a black turtleneck that revealed her stomach, red and black jeans with several diamond-shaped cut-outs on the front, and black high-heeled shoes.
"This terrorist act is absolutely unacceptable and will not be tolerated," Malva began. "We will not stop until these terrorists are captured and brought to justice."
Ichigo turned off the TV.
"So, what's the plan now?" Naturia asked.
Ichigo pulled out a map and spread it across the table. "Here's the plan," he began.
Scene Change: Team Яeverse Headquarters
The Grand Commander and all the Commanders were gathered for a rare in-person meeting. All the Commanders wore their masks. The conference room was eerily silent until the Grand Commander, Alphis-Omega, entered. Immediately, all the other Commanders stood as the Grand Commander walked to the last unoccupied chair and sat.
"Sit," the Grand Commander ordered. The Commanders obeyed, sitting down.
"Take off your masks," the Grand Commander commanded. The Commanders removed their masks as instructed.
Beta had pale skin, light-blue eyes, and dark eyebrows. Gamma was none other than Malva. Delta had a healthy pale complexion and bright red eyes, while Epsilon had black eyes, tanned skin, and a few scars scattered across his face.
The Grand Commander nodded. "Now, let's begin this meeting."
"Grand Commander!" Epsilon suddenly shouted. The Grand Commander nodded, permitting him to speak.
"Why did you order Gamma to allow those two to escape?" Epsilon demanded.
"Simple," the Grand Commander began. "There are rumors that remnants of the Knights of Aura still exist in Kalos."
"WHAT!?" Delta exclaimed.
"I thought all of them were destroyed in the final battle?" Delta asked.
"That's what we thought," the Grand Commander replied. "But no one was in any shape to inspect all the casualties from that battle."
"Getting back to Epsilon's question," Beta said, "what should we do about Ichigo and Sabrina?"
"We can assume they're looking for us," Gamma said. "I checked the history on Slave 1's computer and noticed the last recorded log was of Ichigo and Sabrina entering the gym. However, there's no record of them beginning the battle. Slave 1 informed me that he greeted them before he was knocked out. I looked at our log and found that during that time, Slave 1's login was used."
"What did they use it for?" Beta asked.
"They searched for Ryan Granblue," Gamma replied, glancing at Epsilon. "One of your squires."
"I think I know what happened," Epsilon groaned. "One of our spies in Team Galactic was Ryan's friend. I told him that if the mission succeeded, his friend could join us under Behemoth."
"It's possible that Ryan's friend revealed Ryan's name when he was interrogated," Delta theorized.
"Champion Cynthia probably searched for Ryan's name, but it didn't appear in Sinnoh's Trainer Database. Cardinal Ichigo may have asked Champion Lance to do the same on the Kanto-Johto Trainer Database," Gamma added.
"Grand Commander, I apologize for my subordinate's actions. I will punish him after this meeting."
"Hold off for now," the Grand Commander said. "We already expect them to show up at the Elite Château (4) soon. Beta, Gamma, and Epsilon have your squires set up a 360-degree perimeter around the bases and keep an eye on all our Slaves and any strangers in the cities."
"Yes, Grand Commander," they all replied. Suddenly, a small beeping sound interrupted the room. They turned to see it was coming from Gamma.
"Gamma, you should know it's rude to leave your Holo Caster on," Epsilon sneered.
Gamma rolled her eyes, put on her mask, and answered the call. A hologram of a person dressed in black armor appeared.
"What is it?" she asked.
"The heretic is publicly challenging the Elite Four on PokéTube (5)," the hologram reported.
"What!?" Gamma shouted, ending the call. She quickly logged into PokéTube and found the video, playing it on the big screen for everyone to see.
"Hello, everyone. I am Deus-Cardinal Ichigo," Ichigo's voice rang out. "I'm here to challenge the Elite Four and Champion Diantha," he declared. "Normally, only the winner of the Lumiose Conference would be able to challenge the Elite Four, but I believe my Trainer Rank should allow me to bypass that requirement." He smirked. "You can simply make a public announcement when and where we will have the battle." The video ended.
"Hm… How many views does this video have?" the Grand Commander asked.
"It's the current trending video on PokéTube," Gamma replied, clicking on another window. "It looks like other Champions are also interested in seeing the challenge."
"Smart play," the Grand Commander said. "Since he couldn't come here directly, he forced us to invite him in."
"Should I inform the public that the Elite Four accepts his challenge?" Gamma asked.
"You shall," the Grand Commander replied. "But we'll do it in a week, in Lumiose City. That will give us enough time to gather all the Knights, Warlocks, Squires, and Slaves for the event." All the Commanders nodded in agreement.
"Grand Commander, do you want the Blood Angels to remain in Alola?"
"No. We are abandoning Alola," the Grand Commander answered. "Make sure you bring all the Z-Crystals that you've collected."
"Yes, Grand Commander," Delta responded.
"Any other questions?" the Grand Commander asked. When no one spoke, the Grand Commander dismissed them. "All of you are dismissed!" The Commanders quickly put their masks back on and left the conference room.
Scene Change: Somewhere in Kalos
Hidden deep within a forest, there stood an old, beaten castle. Anyone who stumbled upon it would likely assume it was abandoned, possibly even haunted by wild Pokémon. However, they would be wrong. Inside the castle, two figures sat watching the PokéTube video of Ichigo's challenge to the Elite Four.
A tall man, dressed only in a pair of shorts, sat next to a Lucario wearing a black eye patch. The man had black hair, blue eyes, and a long scar running down his right cheek. His body was covered in dark blue spirals, which ran across his heavily muscled chest and arms. A set of spirals also started from his neck and wrapped around his back, connecting to those on his shoulders and hips, before ending at his muscular legs. The Lucario beside him stared intently at the screen as the video of Ichigo's challenge played.
"What are you thinking about, Raiden?" the Lucario asked telepathically.
"Vali, this young man… he would undoubtedly be the strongest Aura Guardian if he were a member of the Knights of Aura," Raiden replied.
"What do you mean?" Vali asked.
"After seeing this challenge, I looked into his public record," Raiden said. He played the video of Ichigo's Urshifu.
"It's using both Dark and Water Style," Lucario observed.
"Do you remember when we fought those Urshifu from that arrogant brat?" Raiden said. "What was his name…? Ketchup? Ketchum?"
"His name was Mustard," Vali replied.
"Ah, Mustard. I remember now, it was some sort of condiment," Raiden said.
"He mentioned that Urshifu can only learn either Dark or Water Style. Yet Ichigo's Urshifu was able to switch between both," Raiden continued. He switched to another video and played it for Vali, it was the recording of Ichigo's gym battle with Erika.
"Is that a Primal Charizard?" Vali exclaimed.
"Indeed!" Raiden responded excitedly. "And he was able to subdue it by himself." Vali slapped himself in the face to make sure it wasn't an illusion.
"So, you want to ally with this man to crush the rest of the Dark Knights?" Vali concluded.
"Obviously," Raiden said as he walked over and put on a set of clothes.
"There's a chance that he doesn't know what's really going on and is just being arrogant after winning a few tournaments," Vali pointed out.
"I don't think so," Raiden replied, finishing putting on his clothes. He was dressed in a matching black long-sleeve button-up shirt, black pants, black shoes, and black gloves, with a bluish-black dress coat and a matching fedora on his head.
"Do you even know where to go?" Vali asked.
"I do. The battle is at Lumiose Gym," Raiden said as he walked out. Vali followed behind him.
Scene Change: Ichigo's Hotel Room
"I didn't expect them to reply so quickly," Naturia said as she watched Malva's response video.
"They were forced to quickly issue a public response to my challenge," Ichigo said. "If they took too long, people might interpret it as them being scared of me."
"On the other hand, if they respond too quickly, it might look like they're not focusing on finding the 'terrorists,'" Sabrina added.
"But they won't do the battle at the Elite Château," Naturia said.
"That's even better," Ichigo said. "Most of Team Яeverse's resources will be concentrated in Lumiose City, not at the Elite Château."
"So, how do we handle this?" Naturia asked.
"Both of you will investigate the Elite Château while I deal with the Elite Four," Ichigo said.
"Are you sure?" Sabrina asked.
"I am," Ichigo replied, pulling up the Elite Four's public profiles and beginning to strategize against them.
Time Skip: One Week Later
Ichigo and a disguised Gardevoir made their way toward Lumiose Gym. Instead of relying on Zoroark's illusion, Ichigo used his own magic to create the disguise since Zoroark's illusions were too easily broken, and it lacked any psychic moves to aid in maintaining the deception.
The Elite Four had scheduled the match for nighttime, allowing more people to watch from home.
During the week, Mewtwo made a troubling discovery, Dark Balls had the ability to capture Pokémon that were already owned by a Trainer. Further investigation revealed that these Dark Balls were heavily modified versions of Temp-Poké Balls, which law enforcement officers used to temporarily capture criminals' Pokémon.
To counter this, Mewtwo developed a program that disabled this feature, ensuring that no Pokémon in Ichigo's possession could be forcibly taken. Ichigo discreetly installed the program onto Sabrina's and Naturia's Poké Balls as well, safeguarding their teams from potential threats.
"There's so much dark aura around us," Gardevoir remarked.
"It makes sense. We saw that most of Lumiose City's residents are already under Team Яeverse's control," Ichigo replied. They soon arrived at Lumiose Gym. The security guards allowed them in. Gardevoir, still disguised, was escorted to a private box with other VIPs, while Ichigo was escorted to a waiting room where he had to submit his six Pokémon. Ichigo placed the Poké Balls in the tray for scanning. As the scan occurred, Malware slipped out of Ichigo's shadow and into a nearby computer. Ichigo briefly spotted an orange checkmark as the escort returned his Poké Balls.
"We'll begin the challenge in 20 minutes," the escort announced before leaving the room.
"Seems like he didn't tamper with your Poké Balls," Ichigo thought as he used the remaining time to finalize his strategy. The escort returned shortly after.
"It's time," he said, and Ichigo stood up to follow him.
Scene Change: Dendemille Town
Sabrina and Naturia stayed in a hotel room booked under the name Serena Natsumi. They sat around a TV, eagerly waiting for the Elite Four challenge to start. During the past week, Ichigo, Sabrina, and Naturia had explored Route 17, Anistar City, Route 18, Couriway Town, Route 19, Snowbelle City, and Route 21. They noticed that most people in Anistar City, Couriway Town, and Snowbelle City had left for Lumiose City to watch the match. With this information, they kept an eye on Routes 21 and 6, noting that these routes were full of trainers under Team Яeverse's control. They quickly concluded that most of Team Яeverse's forces were either in Lumiose City or guarding Routes 6 and 21. Deciding to cut through Dendemille Town, they aimed for the Elite Château, as it was mostly undeveloped terrain with only wild Pokémon.
"Ladies and Gentlemen! Boys and girls!" the announcer yelled as he got the audience riled up.
"It's go time," Sabrina said.
"Right," Naturia responded. They wore tight dark blue outfits with B-Holders (6), body underwear, and wig cap liners to help obscure their identities. Using Alakazam, they teleported out of the hotel. They arrived on the southern side of Dendemille Town and began moving toward the Elite Château. Sabrina recalled Alakazam and sent out Ichigo's Mismagius, Umbreon, and Honchkrow.
"Please keep an eye on us," Sabrina said.
The Pokémon nodded, with Mismagius slipping into their shadows, Honchkrow soaring into the night sky, and Umbreon staying close by their side. They continued moving until they spotted a group of people around a campfire, dressed in black combat gear. They could sense the dark aura around them.
"Looks like we found them," Sabrina thought.
"Yep," Naturia replied. Mismagius crept out of the shadows, her eyes glowing as she cast an illusion around them, making their surroundings appear normal. Sabrina, Naturia, and Umbreon quickly sneaked past them. Mismagius subtly lowered the illusion and returned to the shadows. They repeated this tactic multiple times until they reached the base of a hill. Sabrina recalled Umbreon and used her strength to lift herself and Naturia up the hill. Mismagius cast another illusion, while Honchkrow kept a vigilant watch. At the top of the hill, they hid behind some bushes and observed the Elite Château, which was surrounded by more people in black combat suits.
"How are we going to get in?" Naturia asked.
"Mismagius, can you find us an opening?" Sabrina asked. Mismagius nodded and slipped into the shadows. She found a slightly open window and entered, quickly returning.
"I found a place," she said.
Sabrina recalled Honchkrow and followed Mismagius to the locker room. Mismagius used her Psychic powers to push the window open, allowing them to slip inside. Sabrina and Naturia changed into combat uniforms. Suddenly, someone entered the locker room.
"Hey!" Before she could react, Mismagius used an illusion, making the newcomer believe Sabrina and Naturia were members of Team Яeverse.
"What's taking you two so long?" the newcomer asked. "The Grand Commander ordered us to be in the main convention hall in ten minutes!"
"Sorry!" Naturia quickly replied. They followed the woman, whom Sabrina identified as Aliana through telepathy. Sabrina used this opportunity to learn more about Team Яeverse.
They soon arrived at the main convention hall and sat down with Aliana.
"Do you have any idea why the Grand Commander summoned us?" Naturia asked.
"Not sure," Aliana replied. Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Epsilon walked up on stage. The crowd immediately quieted.
"Good evening, Knights, Warlocks, and Squires of the Four Divisions," Gamma began. "Before the Grand Commander enters, we need to do some cleaning." Gamma snapped her fingers, and suddenly someone grabbed Sabrina and Naturia by the arms, restraining them.
"Bring them up here," Gamma commanded. The crowd parted, allowing the restrained girls to be escorted on stage. "Hm… didn't expect you two would come to us," she said. "ATTENTION!" Everyone stood as Grand Commander Alphis Omega walked onto the stage.
"So, we managed to catch only two rats," the Grand Commander remarked. They walked closer and looked at Sabrina. "It's been a while since I've seen an Esper as strong as you." The Grand Commander grabbed Sabrina's face, forcing her to meet his gaze. "You would be an excellent addition. Join us."
"No," Sabrina said, shaking her head as she forced herself out of the Grand Commander's grip.
"Very well," the Grand Commander said, his hands glowing with dark aura. "You'll still be a useful slave."
Suddenly, the doors to the convention hall exploded. Everyone turned to see two uninvited guests entering.
"You!" Epsilon yelled, recognizing the intruders.
"It's been a while, Napoleon!" Raiden yelled as he shot a bolt of lightning at the Grand Commander. Epsilon stepped in front of the Grand Commander, crossing his arms to block the attack. The lightning bolt collided with Epsilon, creating a massive explosion.
Vali used the explosion as a distraction and ran toward Sabrina and Naturia, knocking their captors aside.
"Follow me," Vali ordered. They regrouped with Raiden, who continued pushing Napoleon back with lightning bolts.
"You got an escape plan?" Raiden asked.
Sabrina took out a Poké Ball. "Ichigo said that if we're in an emergency, we can use this to escape."
"We have no choice," Raiden said as the other Commanders charged toward them.
Sabrina opened the Poké Ball, and everyone was startled by the appearance of Mewtwo. He wore a black cloak and hood, obscuring his identity. Mewtwo surrounded Sabrina, Naturia, Raiden, and Vali with psychic energy before teleporting them away before anyone could react.
Scene Change: Geosenge Town
Mewtwo teleported them across Kalos, preventing anyone from following them. They finally arrived at an old inn.
"Where are we?" Sabrina asked. Suddenly, Raiden and Vali were bound by Mewtwo's psychic energy, unable to see or hear anything.
"We're in an inn arranged for emergencies," Mewtwo replied.
"Why did you do that to them?" Sabrina asked quickly.
"Simple. They are strangers," Mewtwo replied.
Ichigo and the disguised Gardevoir teleported into the room.
"Ichigo!" the girls shouted in surprise.
"Can I get the Poké Ball back?" Ichigo asked Sabrina. She handed it to him. "Release them," Ichigo instructed.
Mewtwo freed Raiden and Vali.
"The name's Raiden and this is my partner, Vali," Raiden introduced as if forgetting they had just been captured.
"Show me what happened," Ichigo said. Sabrina projected her memories to Ichigo.
"Looks like the Elite Four are the leaders of Team Яeverse, and they can create clones since none of the Elite Four I fought had any dark aura on them," Ichigo thought aloud. He turned to Raiden. "Are you prepared to deal with them?"
Raiden shrugged. "It's been a long time since I fought them."
"Don't slow me down," Ichigo said firmly.
"Are you planning to attack them right now?" Naturia asked.
"I am," Ichigo said.
"We can help," Sabrina said as Naturia nodded.
Ichigo sighed. "We're badly outnumbered, so be careful and aim for the kill."
"Kill?" Naturia questioned.
"The slaves can eventually return to normal, but those who willingly practice dark aura will never return to normal," Raiden explained.
"I see…" Naturia said quietly.
"Be extra careful if you can't kill them," Ichigo warned. He turned to Mewtwo. "Let's go."
Mewtwo's eyes glowed, and everyone was teleported out of the inn.
Scene Change: Elite Château
"Dammit!" Epsilon yelled, watching as Raiden, Vali, Sabrina, and Naturia were teleported away by Mewtwo.
"It's fine," the Grand Commander said. "The original plan was to draw out the rats, and we succeeded."
"You're right, Grand Commander," Epsilon agreed.
"Bad news, Grand Commander," Gamma said, walking up to them. "Our psychic Pokémon failed to track Ichigo after the match."
"Do you think he would immediately attack us?" Beta asked.
"It's possible," the Grand Commander admitted. Suddenly, Ichigo, Sabrina, Naturia, and Raiden appeared before them.
"Deal with them," the Grand Commander ordered.
"Yes, Grand Commander!" The Commanders yelled as the Grand Commander teleported away. "Knights, Warlocks, and Squires attack the heretics!" the Commanders commanded. All the members of Team Яeverse charged toward them. Sabrina and Naturia released all their Pokémon. Raiden sent out an Electivire in addition to Vali, while Ichigo released half of his Pokémon.
"I will help as well," Mewtwo said.
"We'll deal with them. You go after the Grand Commander!" Raiden shouted.
"Be safe," Ichigo said, as he shunpō'ed away from the convention hall. He landed in an empty room and immediately sent out Gardevoir and Malware. "Malware, hack into the computer and download everything onto this USB stick. Gardevoir, make sure no one interferes with Malware."
"You got it," Malware responded.
"You can count on me," Gardevoir said, before teleporting away with Malware.
"Now, where did that Grand Commander go?" Ichigo thought as he spread his senses. It didn't take long before he located the Grand Commander in an underground chamber beneath the Elite Château, surrounded by a powerful dark aura. Ichigo stomped the ground, and the force of the impact created a hole large enough for him to pass through. He repeated this action, creating more holes, until he reached the large underground chamber.
The Grand Commander turned to face him. "I didn't expect you to find me this fast," she said.
"It's over," Ichigo declared, charging toward the Grand Commander.
"Diancie. Genesect. Stop him," the Grand Commander ordered. Two Pokémon leaped toward Ichigo. One was a distinctly feminine, fairy-like creature with a rocky gray body embedded with bright black crystals and gemstones. It had a golden collar around its neck, a black diamond on its chest, and a crown-like headdress of black gems. A large black diamond sat on its forehead, and its eyes were a piercing red. The other Pokémon was a bipedal, cybernetic, insect-like creature with a red metallic body and a wide, saucer-shaped head. It had two purple eyes and exposed white teeth, along with a powerful laser cannon on its back.
"Looks like a good time to warm up," Ichigo thought.
The black gemstone Pokémon lifted its arms and fired a red, sparkling energy beam. The red metallic insect Pokémon fired a black and purple energy beam from its back cannon. The two beams collided in mid-air, and Ichigo swiftly performed a downward chop, splitting the attack into two. He shunpō'ed behind the metal insect Pokémon and struck it in the back of its head, sending it crashing into the ground.
The gemstone Pokémon fired another red sparkling beam. Ichigo shunpō'ed to the side, dodging the attack, and then punched the Pokémon in the face, stunning it. He followed up with a punch to its chest, causing the Pokémon to collapse to the ground.
Ichigo turned to face the Grand Commander. "Such power," she remarked. "Ichigo, what would you say if I asked you to join me?"
"No," Ichigo replied bluntly, shunpō'ing toward her.
Suddenly, Ichigo stopped, sensing something around him. "Divine Domain?" He turned to see three Pokémon walking toward them.
The first was a quadruped, stag-like Pokémon with four pairs of antlers. Its body was black with a blue stripe down its back, and its legs were surrounded by blade-like trim, ending in points under each hoof. Its head and neck were blue, with two large tufts extending onto its chest. Its eyes were black with X-shaped pupils, and there was a short marking on top of its snout, along with horns in place of ears.
The second Pokémon was a bird-dragon hybrid with a black body and white-spotted wings. Its head, neck, and front were bright red, marked with branching black lines. It had a pointed, beak-like snout, blue eyes, and forward-curving horns over each eye. A feathery gray ruff encircled its neck, and its wings had large claws at the tips.
The third Pokémon had a serpentine body marked with green and black. Its back, head, and neck were mostly black, while its underbelly and tail tip were green. Its eyes were made of four green hexagons, and it had a white line down its face. Along its neck were five long, flat protrusions, and its tail ended in five tendrils.
"Seems like you're startled by their presence," the Grand Commander said. "Meet the Aura Trinity: Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde."
Ichigo narrowed his eyes. "To think you are still powerless against the domain of a Legendary Pokémon," the Grand Commander arrogantly proclaimed. "We, humans, can never reach the might of a Legendary Pokémon. But by stealing the aura of other Pokémon, we can narrow the gap between us."
The Grand Commander pulled out three black crystals and attached them to her armor. "With these, we humans will have the power to overcome all Legendary Pokémon!" she declared, as the crystals began to glow. The crystals shot beams of energy that enveloped Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde, absorbing them into the crystals.
"ЯE-BIRTH SHINKA!" the Grand Commander shouted as she was engulfed by the energy.
"RAHAHAH!" The Grand Commander laughed maniacally as her body began to grow larger. The light faded, revealing her transformed form. Her armor was destroyed, revealing that the Grand Commander was a woman. She now stood over 5 meters tall (16.4 feet), her body retaining a humanoid shape but with a long tail similar to Yveltal's. Several flat protrusions surrounded her head, and triangular protrusions adorned her neck, forming a crown-like shape. Two sets of antlers circled this crown. There were three white hexagonal marks on her face, and five green hexagons adorned her face, body, and limbs.
Her arms had blade-like, claw-like protrusions, and her chest displayed two large green hexagonal marks shaped like Alpha and Omega symbols. Two serpentine wings extended from her back, and green hexagons surrounded her wrists, knees, and feet (7).
"This power," she said, her voice no longer synthetic. "Is amazing!" She shouted, unleashing a powerful blast of energy that destroyed the ceiling of the underground chamber. She flew toward the surface.
Ichigo shunpō'ed after her, ready for the fight ahead.
"So… someone's trying to steal the power of God and make it their own," Ichigo summarized the Grand Commander's goal.
"Grand Commander." Ichigo and the Grand Commander turned to see the Commanders running toward them, their masks now gone, revealing their faces.
"So I was right. They created clones of each other and had them pose as the Elite Four," Ichigo thought, glancing at the Grand Commander. "So, she would be Diantha."
"Seems like you were losing," the Grand Commander said, her eyes narrowing. The Commanders all looked nervous, unwilling to speak. "No matter. You still have some use." She snapped her fingers, and suddenly all the Commanders froze. Black lines appeared across their bodies. "Pull out the crystals and use them."
All of them pulled out the same dark crystals the Grand Commander used for her fusion. Unlike the Grand Commander's crystals, these were already glowing with energy. They placed them on their armor, and Beta, Gamma, and Epsilon each inserted three crystals, while Delta had four. All were immediately engulfed in the same energy.
"ЯE-BIRTH SHINKA!" they shouted in unison. The light around them grew intense as Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Epsilon began to transform, fusing with other Legendary Pokémon. The light finally faded, revealing their new forms.
Beta transformed into an ice-covered, hunchbacked draconian entity, with small arms and bulky legs, sporting a chipped horn. Two large metallic cannons with blue circles dangled from his shoulders, while a massive purple cannon sat on his back, strategically positioned so they didn't interfere with each other (8).
Gamma became a massive silver dragon, a cannon attached to her head (9).
Delta morphed into a sleek, purple-and-yellow dragon resembling a jet, with triangular ears and a patch of purple on her face. Her back sprouted jet-like wings, and two cannons formed where her feet had been (10).
Epsilon shifted into a large black dragon, its head wreathed in a fog-like, ghostly plume (11).
All of them unleashed their divine domains, crushing the Squires, Knights, and Warlocks to their knees under the immense pressure. Naturia, Sabrina, and all their Pokémon were forced to the ground, while Ichigo's Pokémon, Raiden, and Vali struggled to remain standing. Ichigo, however, remained unaffected, standing firm against their presence.
"Mewtwo, get them out of here," Ichigo ordered.
"Very well," Mewtwo replied.
"Wa-." Sabrina started, but she was teleported away before finishing her sentence.
"Fool. What do you think you can do against us?" The Grand Commander taunted. Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Epsilon let out a mighty, intimidating roar. Ichigo reached for ten Faker Balls, sending out all his Legendary Pokémons. Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno, Lugia, Latios, Latias, Emerald, Amethysts, Yami, and Urshifu all appeared standing in front of him.
"So you collected them as well," the Grand Commander remarked.
"I don't collect them," Ichigo said. "I saved them, and they asked to join me." He turned to his Pokémon. "Deal with the abominations."
His Pokémon nodded. Urshifu and Emerald went after Beta. Lugia, Moltres, and Amethysts faced Gamma. Yami and Latios targeted Delta. Articuno, Zapdos, and Latias took on Epsilon.
"What can a puny human do against a Legendary?" The Grand Commander scoffed, noticing Ichigo standing alone. Ichigo summoned Bahamut, pointing the greatsword toward her.
"Appear before me!" Crimson reiatsu began to gather around Ichigo. "Forged by the Maiden of Light…" White reiatsu swirled in. "And the Maiden of Darkness…" Black reiatsu joined the crimson and white, forming a massive pillar of energy. "Glare at all creation and display your ferocious might!" The energy coalesced into a towering force around Ichigo. "Dragon of Chaos, BAHAMUT!" he yelled.
Two massive black-and-white wings tore through the pillar of reiatsu, revealing Ichigo clad in his armor.
"What interesting power," the Grand Commander observed, intrigued. "I must have it!" She fired an energy blast at Ichigo.
Ichigo pointed Kisara's head at the incoming attack. "Holy Retribution!" he shouted, firing his own energy blast. The two blasts collided, creating a stalemate. Ichigo aimed Valiona's head at the struggle. "Hellfire Retribution!" he yelled, unleashing another blast. The two attacks merged, overwhelming the stalemate and causing a massive explosion.
Ichigo summoned his swords and charged at the Grand Commander. Her claws glowed black as she attempted to slash at him. Ichigo blocked the attack with Valiona's blade. "Holy Strike!" he shouted, slashing with Kisara's blade, aiming for her neck. The Grand Commander blocked the strike with one of her wings.
"RAHA!" She roared, using her other wing to slam down on Ichigo. He swiftly dodged the attack.
"Eat this!" she yelled, firing multiple energy blasts. Ichigo took to the air, dodging the attacks, and flew toward her. More shots rained down, trying to push him back, but Ichigo either dodged or sliced through them with his blades. As Ichigo's blades began to glow, preparing for a direct assault, the Grand Commander also charged up a counterattack.
At the last possible moment, Ichigo shunpō'ed behind her.
"Chaos Slash," he muttered, launching a pair of energy slashes at the Grand Commander's back.
"GAH!" she screamed, stumbling forward as the slashes hit. Ichigo continued, "Chaos Slash," firing more energy slashes into her back.
"RAH!" The Grand Commander retaliated, unleashing a powerful energy blast in all directions, forcing Ichigo back and giving her a moment to recover. As she scanned the battlefield, she saw her other Commanders unconscious and reverted to their human forms.
Ichigo raised both Kisara and Valiona toward her. "You're finished."
The Grand Commander laughed darkly. "I still have one trick left." She raised her hands, and the unconscious bodies of the rest of Team Яeverse floated toward her. The bodies began to transform into dark aura and entered her own form.
"She's going to absorb them," Ichigo thought as the Grand Commander grew even larger, beginning another transformation. All the green on her body became metallic silver. Her left arm split into three, each ending in a dragon head. Her right arm transformed, becoming more robotic with four cannon-like fingers. Her legs shifted, resembling those of Latios/Latias, and her shoulder blades sprouted two large metallic cannons, casually dangling. Her antlers moved down to her neck, surrounded by a crimson red mane. She pointed her dragon arms at Ichigo and unleashed energy blasts.
Ichigo jumped aside, narrowly avoiding fire, ice, and lightning.
"Ichigo," Azrael called out, raising her other arm and unleashing a rapid barrage of energy blasts.
"Yes, Azrael?" Ichigo replied, effortlessly using shunpō to evade her attacks.
"After careful study, I believe we can use Longinus to help purify the Legendary Pokémon," Azrael stated.
"STOP DODGING!" the Grand Commander yelled as she used the cannons on her shoulder blades to target Ichigo.
"Looking at how big she is now, I don't think base-level purification is going to cut it," Ichigo replied, continuing to evade her attacks.
"Best bet is Balance Breaker," Azrael suggested.
Ichigo shunpō'ed into the air, momentarily escaping her assault. He sealed Bahamut and sent it back to his mindscape before summoning Longinus. The Grand Commander fired another wave of energy blasts at him.
"Balance Breaker," Ichigo declared. Holy light enveloped him, forming a protective barrier against the Grand Commander's attacks. As the light faded, Ichigo stood encased in shining platinum white armor, a golden cross embedded in the chest piece. His long orange hair had turned golden, and a golden halo hovered above his head. Six pairs of silver wings spread from his back. "Longinus Azrael - Envoy of Holy Requiem," Ichigo proclaimed.
"DIE!" The Grand Commander screamed, launching another attack. Ichigo blocked it, causing a massive explosion.
"I am the Lord thy God," Ichigo declared, slamming the butt of Longinus into the ground, dispelling the dust around him. A golden seal shot out, surrounding them. The Grand Commander's expression shifted to one of nervousness as she found herself trapped inside the golden barrier. Ichigo pointed Longinus at her. "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain." Golden chains shot from the seal, wrapping around the Grand Commander.
"NO!" she yelled, attempting to break free. She fired energy blasts at the chains, but to her horror, they were unaffected. The chains tightened, continuing to restrain her. After a minute, she was fully immobilized.
"For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others, and hating one another," Ichigo began to chant. Holy energy began to gather around them. The Grand Commander struggled harder against the chains. "But when the goodness and loving-kindness of our Savior, God, appeared," Ichigo continued, and suddenly, a massive Golden Cross descended from the sky, landing behind her. She struggled harder against the unbreakable chains. "He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to His own mercy." Golden vines shot out from the cross, wrapping around the Grand Commander and pulling her toward it, attaching her to its form. "By the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit."
Golden Stakes appeared around Ichigo. He pointed Longinus at the immobilized Grand Commander, and the stakes shot forward, embedding themselves into her body.
"RAHAHAHAH!" she screamed as black liquid began to leak from the wounds.
"Whom He poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ, our Savior, so that being justified by His grace, we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life!" Ichigo's voice rang out as the Golden Cross poured immense amounts of holy energy into the Grand Commander's corrupted form.
"RHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!" she screamed again as the holy energy began to burn away the dark aura within her. Ichigo watched as the Commandment of Purity slowly did its work. Her body began to shrink, and black spirit orbs leaked out of her. The Golden Chains adjusted to maintain their grip as she shrank.
Ichigo summoned the Holy Chains and had them capture the spirit orbs. Suddenly, three Pokémon charged at Ichigo. He turned to see it was Shaymin and two other Pokémon the Grand Commander had ordered to attack earlier.
"Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain," Ichigo intoned again, and golden chains wrapped around the three corrupted Pokémon. They struggled to break free.
"You should be able to purify them with the regular chant," Azrael suggested.
Ichigo began chanting "Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin and then concentrate your holy energy into purifying them." He focused his holy energy into purifying them. The golden chains glowed brightly, pouring holy energy into the restrained Pokémon. All three cried out in pain as the dark aura was slowly expelled. After a few minutes, they fell unconscious. The dark aura beneath them gave off a putrid smell. Ichigo quickly destroyed the tainted aura with a ball of holy fire.
Turning back to the Grand Commander, Ichigo saw she was still restrained, the air around her thick with the foul stench of corrupted energy. Ichigo made sure the holy fire also destroyed the lingering dark aura around her. Once the area was cleared, Ichigo found 16 white crystals on the ground. He picked one up and saw a sleeping Yveltal inside. He carefully placed the crystals aside before turning to face the Grand Commander.
Her face was now more mature, but still similar to Diantha. She turned to Ichigo, her voice much weaker than before. "You... you could've helped."
Ichigo shook his head. "I was sent here to stop you."
"I see…" The Grand Commander sighed softly before her life faded. Ichigo saw her soul slip from her body, and he opened a Gate of Hell. The souls of the fallen were immediately dragged into it. Ichigo shattered the white crystal, releasing the trapped Legendaries.
Suddenly, a barrier descended, isolating them from the outside world. A portal opened, and Arceus and Mew emerged. Mew waved to Ichigo before flying to Mewtwo, who had teleported back during the battle.
"Hello, Ichigo," Arceus greeted.
"Hello, Arceus," Ichigo replied. Arceus floated over to the unconscious Legendaries, gently placing a hoof on Latias's head. Ichigo could feel a surge of energy flowing into her as Arceus continued this process with the others. After a few minutes, all the Legendaries awoke and began to recover.
"Ichigo," Arceus began, and all the Pokémon turned to him. "I want to say thank you for saving my world and my children."
"No problem. I was just keeping with our agreement," Ichigo replied.
"Indeed," Arceus said. "With this mission concluded, you can return to your world."
"Wait, did you tell me I needed to visit the Alola region?" Ichigo asked.
"Originally, yes," Arceus admitted. "But you see… Team Яeverse accidentally resolved the issue I intended for you to handle."
"I see…" Ichigo nodded.
"Wait... Did Lord Arceus say you're from another world?" Xerneas asked.
"Indeed," Arceus replied. "The original chosen one perished due to an accident at the beginning of his journey."
"I see…" Zygarde muttered.
"Ichigo, can you release your other Legendary Pokémon? They'll need to hear this," Arceus requested. Ichigo silently released Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno, Lugia, Latios, Latias, Emerald, Amethysts, and Yami.
"Greetings, Lord Arceus," they all said in unison.
"Greetings, my children," Arceus responded warmly.
"If you didn't know, Ichigo is from another world, and I am planning to send him back to his world," Arceus said, turning to the Legendary Pokémon Ichigo had captured. "You have the option to go with him, should you desire it."
"But what about our responsibilities?" Lugia asked.
"I will assign someone else to take over your duties," Arceus replied.
"Does that apply to us higher-tier Legendary Pokémon as well?" Yveltal asked.
"If you believe that is the best way to repay Ichigo," Arceus answered.
"Wait… Repay?" Ichigo turned to the Legendary Pokémon he had captured. "So, you're saying you allowed me to capture you to repay a debt for saving you?"
"Not fully," Lugia said. "When you defeated us on Shamouti Island, it reminded us that we still have much to learn."
"I agree," Ichigo said, turning to Cresselia. "You were able to easily defeat us with your own Pokémon that you raised."
"Lord Arceus," Latios chimed in.
"Speak, Latios," Arceus responded.
"Is it possible to make a copy of us?" Latios asked.
"A clone?" Mewtwo interjected.
"No, a copy," Latios clarified.
"Explain," Arceus said.
"Some of us joined Ichigo's journey to learn from him and his Pokémon," Latias said, nodding in agreement with her brother. "I want to continue traveling with him, but at the same time, I want to spread Ichigo's teachings to my fellow cousins."
Arceus turned to Lugia and the Legendary Birds. "Is this the same with you four?"
"Indeed," Lugia replied, nodding.
"I will agree to create the copies, but I will alter their memories. They will remember a slightly different conversation. They will recall me telling them the truth about Ichigo, and that they chose to remain here. They will not remember they are copies," Arceus explained. Soon, all the Legendary Pokémon expressed their desire to be captured by Ichigo.
"Wait." Mewtwo stood up and teleported away, only to return with a silver robotic bunny. It had long ears, colorless eyes, a skirt-like spherical body decorated with yellow lines, and short arms and legs. "While Ichigo was busy, I went through the rest of the building and stumbled upon her."
Arceus floated over to the robotic bunny and placed a hoof on her forehead. The colors on her body slowly returned as she let out a soft yawn.
"Good morning, Magearna," Arceus greeted.
"Good morning, Lord Arceus," Magearna responded, then turned to Mewtwo. "Thank you for rescuing me."
"No problem," Mewtwo replied.
Soon, Arceus created copies of all the Legendary Pokémon, except for Mewtwo, Emerald, Amethysts, Yami, Magearna, and Diancie, who didn't want a copy made.
"Ichigo," Arceus said telepathically, "I will come to pick you and anyone who wishes to go with you to your world in a week."
"Okay," Ichigo replied.
"When you have a chance, have Yami take you to the Distortion World. Giratina wishes to speak with you before you leave."
"Okay," Ichigo said again. He recalled his Legendary Pokémon before Arceus teleported away, leaving Ichigo alone with the wrecked Elite Château. Ichigo shunpō'ed back to Lumiose City.
Scene Change: Lumiose Hotel
Ichigo sneaked into the hotel and found the room where the Kalos Elite Four and the Champion were gathered.
"I assume Team Яeverse is dead," Diantha said upon seeing Ichigo.
"They are," Ichigo replied.
"Since you're here, I assume you want to create a cover-up of some kind?" she asked.
"You're not going to try and revive Team Яeverse, right?" Ichigo asked.
Diantha shook her head. "There's no point."
"We were created with no chance of using Aura," Malva added.
"I'll tell the Champions the truth so they can keep an eye on you when I'm gone," Ichigo said.
"Sure," Michael replied.
"So what's the cover story?" Gabrielle asked.
"The story is that Team Яeverse orchestrated the terrorist attack on Lumiose Gym. They also used the Elite Four Challenge as an opportunity to attack the Elite Château. They mind-controlled Legendary Pokémon, which caused Lord Arceus to attack the entire building, killing all Team Яeverse members inside."
"That works," Michael said. "Especially since we all saw that large beam of light over there."
Ichigo quickly informed the Champions of the truth and the cover-up story they would announce. Some Champions weren't thrilled with the cover-up but agreed it was far better than revealing the full truth. Once the cover-up was settled, Ichigo shunpō'ed away.
Scene Change: Geosenge Town
Ichigo returned to the secret hotel room, where Sabrina, Naturia, and Raiden were watching the news.
"Ichigo!" Sabrina shouted as she ran over to him and hugged him. "What happened there?"
Ichigo told them a mix of the official truth and the real truth. Raiden studied him for a few seconds.
"He probably noticed I'm lying," Ichigo thought, bracing for a comment from Raiden. But to his surprise, Raiden simply shrugged.
"Looks like my job here is done," Raiden said as he stood up. Vali stood up behind him.
"You're leaving?" Ichigo asked.
Raiden nodded. "Despite being over three hundred years old, I stayed away from the world. I only step in when it goes stupidly crazy."
"Like with Team Яeverse?" Ichigo asked.
"Partially," Raiden admitted. "It's also because I have issues with them from the past."
"All right then," Ichigo said. "Good luck on your journey."
"Same to you," Raiden replied before he and Vali left.
"So what's the plan now?" Naturia asked.
"Shouldn't we be asking you that?" Ichigo replied.
"If you don't mind me asking, can I join you two on your journey?" Naturia asked.
"Why?" Sabrina inquired.
"Because both of you are strong," Naturia admitted.
"Do you have any attachment left in this world?" Ichigo asked.
"What?" Naturia responded, confused.
Sabrina turned to Ichigo. "You're thinking of telling her the truth?"
"I am." He turned to Naturia. "I think it's best to sit down," Ichigo said, and then told her the truth, leaving out the fact that Pokémon existed as a game and anime in his world.
"I-I need a moment," Naturia said, clearly overwhelmed.
"Don't take too long. I'm actually planning to leave soon," Ichigo said.
"What?" Sabrina shouted. Ichigo nodded.
"I'll need to arrange a few things," Sabrina said.
"We've got a week," Ichigo replied.
"Give me a day to think about it," Naturia said.
Ichigo nodded as they left. He sent out Yami.
"Take me to see Giratina."
"Okay," Yami responded, and the shadows rose up, swallowing Ichigo.
Scene Change: Distortion World
Ichigo exited from the shadow, arriving in the familiar Distortion World. It wasn't long before Giratina appeared.
"Hello, Ichigo," Giratina greeted.
"Hello, Giratina," Ichigo replied.
"It's time for me to give you my blessing," Giratina continued, beginning to glow with energy. "I, Giratina, the Guardian of the Distortion and the Guardian of the Dead, bestow my blessing upon Kurosaki Ichigo for the Death Quest." The power surged through Ichigo, and a medallion appeared in his hand, solidifying the blessing. He could feel the powers of Odin, Osiris, Ankou, Hades/Pluto, and Giratina radiating from it.
"What do I do with this?" Ichigo asked.
"I don't know. I would ask whoever allowed you to begin the Death Quest," Giratina answered.
"Thank you," Ichigo said, placing the medallion into his mindscape.
"Please continue to take care of my child," Giratina added.
"I will," Ichigo responded, before being swallowed by the shadows again.
Time Skip: One Week Later
Ichigo, Sabrina, and Naturia were sitting in their motel room. Naturia had decided to join Ichigo and Sabrina on their journey. She wanted to become a Pokémon Doctor and Breeder. Ichigo and Sabrina used their remaining savings to order everything a Pokémon Doctor and Breeder would need. Diantha had pulled some strings to bypass the usual checks for the medical equipment and vitamins.
Ichigo, Naturia, and Sabrina informed their Pokémon about what was going to happen and gave them the option to remain in the Pokémon World or join them in Ichigo's world. It wasn't surprising that all of their Pokémon chose to stay with them. The only one who hesitated was Ichigo's newly caught Combee.
Her concern was that there wouldn't be any other Combee around for her to make honey. Ichigo shunpō'ed to Route 4, where Combee tried her best to attract a few male Combees. Unfortunately, there was already a Vespiquen there, and Combee was attacked by the Vespiquen. In her anger, Combee evolved into a Vespiquen and fought back. After a fierce battle, both Vespiquens were exhausted on the ground, but Ichigo's Vespiquen had won over ten male Combees, which Ichigo captured.
Ichigo stopped at Lumiose Pokémon Center to heal his Vespiquen and her swarm of Combee. He scanned them with his Pokédex.
"This Vespiquen is a female Bug/Flying-type, 3 feet 10 inches tall, and has the Intimidate (12) ability. Known moves: Sweet Scent, Gust, Struggle Bug, Bug Bite, Slash, and Bug Buzz." Ichigo scanned the swarm of Combee. "This Combee is a male Bug/Flying-type, 1 foot 1 inch tall, and has the Honey Gather ability. Known moves: Sweet Scent, Gust, Struggle Bug, and Bug Bite." All ten Combees shared the same ability and moves. Ichigo sent each one out and placed a number sticker on them.
"It's time," Ichigo said to Sabrina and Naturia. Both girls nodded. Ichigo sent them and all the other equipment to the Trainer. He adjusted the time so that 1 second in the Trainer equaled a year outside.
"I should give him a proper goodbye before I leave," Ichigo thought as he shunpō'ed away.
Scene Change: Pallet Town
Ichigo arrived in Pallet Town less than 10 minutes from Geosenge Town. He walked over to Professor Oak's lab and knocked on the door. A few moments later, Professor Oak opened it.
"Good morning, Professor," Ichigo greeted.
"Ah! Ichigo, come on in," Professor Oak said, stepping aside to let Ichigo enter. The two sat down in the kitchen.
"What can I do for you?" Professor Oak asked.
"I just wanted to thank you for taking care of me," Ichigo said, pulling out a check and handing it to Professor Oak. Oak took the check, his eyes widening before turning to Ichigo.
"Are you… going to die?" he asked.
"To those who don't know," Ichigo said and then told Professor Oak the truth about where he was from.
"I knew your background was fake, but I decided not to question it," Professor Oak admitted. "But I didn't expect that to be the truth."
"Sometimes the truth is stranger than the lie," Ichigo said.
"True," Oak agreed, nodding.
Ichigo stood up. "Good luck with your endeavors, Professor."
"You too, Ichigo," Professor Oak replied. Ichigo walked out of the lab.
"I'm ready," Ichigo said. Suddenly, he was teleported away.
Scene Change: Arceus's Private Dimension
Ichigo appeared in a grassy field.
"Ready?" Arceus asked.
"I am," Ichigo answered.
"Then get on," Arceus said. Ichigo climbed onto Arceus's back, and they entered a portal.
Well, we are finally done with the Pokemon Arc. I originally intended to include Alola but I realized that I'm not a fan of that generation… Anyways, can anyone guess what Amaterasu did to Ichigo yet?
Author's notes:
(1) Kalos version of Red's outfit in Sun & Moon.
(2) Serena's standard outfit.
(3) Yin Orb and Yang Orb sounds much better than Black Orb and White Orb.
(4) The Pokémon League in X & Y looks like a castle. Also, Château means castle in French.
(5) Pokémon Universe version of YouTube.
(6) A B Holder or Breast Holder is a type of bra women can use to hide their breasts. It's mostly used for women who want to cosplay men or flat-chested girls
(7) If you couldn't tell, her body is mostly Perfect Zygarde with Xerneas's antlers on the head and the claws. Yveltal wings and tail are on the back and tail.
(8) Essentially Kyurem but with Volcanion 'cannon' replaces Kyurem's broken wings as well as Genesect's cannon on the back.
(9) Essentially Reshiram but the white is replaced by silver due to Heatran being a steel type. Reshiram's head has a cannon integrated on top. Kind of like Barrel Dragon from Yugioh.
(10) Essentially Latias but the red is replaced by purple and the white is replaced by yellow. She now has cannons for feet.
(11) Essentially Zekrom but with Darkrai's plume on top but black. Zekrom lost its jet-like tail due to Latios increasing its speed.
(12) I know Vespiquen has only Pressure and Unversed but logically does the same thing, intimidate the Pokémon.
