Aquarius's Tasks
Being in despair but determined to do anything to win Leo back, Lucy goes to a palace dedicated to Pisces to ask the spirit for help. Even though Pisces felt that the girl deserved some help, she refused to avoid colliding with another spirit. The maiden receives the same handling in a palace dedicated to Virgo and realizes she must serve Aquarius herself.
Of course, Aquarius had not overcome her jealousy for Lucy and wouldn't let her precious son be with this woman that easily. still sought revenge. The spirit delivered the girl to two of her attendants, Sorrow and Worry, to torture her, not knowing that she was bearing a child. After that, Aquarius came up with Lucy's first task: she threw an abundance of different seeds in front of the young girl and asked her to sort them into piles by dawn. That seemed impossible but, after the spirit left, an ant feeling pity for Lucy gathered a group of ants to help her. Being their expertise and with hard work, they managed to separate the seeds by kind until the sun started to come out. When Aquarius returned and saw the piles, she became extremely angry. "You have not finished your work" she said.
On the next morning, Aquarius came up with a new, dangerous task: Lucy must cross a river and bring silky glowing soft wool from the wild sheep's of the spirit Aries grazing on the other side. Again, Lucy had luck on her side, as a divine reed saved her . The sheep's were not ordinary sheep's as they were attracted to attack on human flesh like the bulls would in Taurus palace . Stuck in strange land with strange things that doesn't happen on earth , Lucy felt fear. But Lucy's divine reed telling her to collect wool in hideous way . The sheep's would cross thorny branches to roam around. Few moments later she caught in some branches after the sheep had fallen asleep.
For the third task, Aquarius gave Lucy a crystal vessel. "Do you see those black waters descending from the hill? Those are Rivers Sryx and Cocytus of my land . Fill this bottle with some black water from their wellspring" the mermaid spirit said.
"Because I'm tired of commanding you and my beauty is exhausted of you. You will bring me the magic of beauty held in box and then I can give my forgiveness and blessing to reunite with your favorite immortal,Lucy heartfilia."
That night, Lucy was depressed. She sat at the edge of balcony and looking at the ground. She wanted to not exist after trying so hard but not get any pathway to Leo. Going to underworld for another task seemed impossibe.But suddenly a mysterious voice though invisiblity power called her. It comforted her and said that he can help her to reach the place aquarius wanted. Lucy had no choice but to listen to the invisible spirit and follow his guidance.
Upon reaching the waterfall, Lucy realized that the surrounding rocks were slippery and steep. The waters rushed through such abrupt rocks that only a winged creature could approach. And indeed, an eagle appeared and helped her; it seized the bottle from her hands with its beak, filled it with some black water and gave it back to her. The bird was actually sent by Celestial king, who felt pity for the poor girl.
The last task that Aquarius thought required Lucy to visit the Underworld and ask Ultear , the queen of the dead, to drain a little of her beauty into a box. Despaired of her fate, Lucy climbs a tower in order to fall. Suddenly, the tower started talking and advised her to travel to Spartan and find a place called Tainarons , where the entrance to the Underworld lies. She followed the tower's orders, entered the gates and took the boat to the other bank, where the dead people used to leave. She gave money to the boats man wearing cloak, to help her find her way in the dark to the palace of Virgo . Indeed, the boatman helped her to sail on the river and after a while, she was right in front of Virgo. When she asked her to drop a drain of her beauty in the box. After her few requests , Virgo accepted and was glad to serve Aquarius. Lucy took the box and returned to the Earth.
With the task done, Lucy went to the boat on the river bank . She held the magic filled box and went onto the boat. But as she sat and leaned to the river, she saw her face being thin, black curve under her eyes and exhaustion of all the work took her youthfulness.
The boats man sailed to get on the other side over river. But during that time, suddenly
However, Lucy got the curiosity to open the box that overwhelmed her. Not able to resist the urge to open the box .
"Just a little look won't hurt. I'm so distraught and look thin. I believe a little speck of magic can restore my youthfulness. "
Instead of the so called enhance to own beauty, she opens it but finds glowing black myst. The black myst glowing with red glow. But it consumes her mortality slowly and she falls asleep.
