When Sofia went off to school the next day she quickly gets off the carriage and blends in with her classmates to give the impression that she was seen there, but soon she slipped away from the crowds and while she knew about teleportation and how it was done she was still learning how to do it, since it was dangerous for magical children to so without hurting themselves in the process, but at the moment she didn't care as she concentrates and with a wave of her hands, soon disappears with a faint puff of smoke, only to reappear in front of the Prep School that her cousins attended with the intent of giving the bullies a taste of her magic to teach them a lesson in messing with her family.

So she quickly hides herself in the bushes and waited until it was about lunch/recess, she waited until she saw her littlest cousin, Maddy come out, but was soon followed and corner off by a group of girls around her year and that when Sofia struck, with a wave of her wand she send a itchy spell towards them which had them scratching like crazy which gave Maddy away to get out of there, watching as the girls were send off to the nurses office.

Satisfied with the success of her mission on getting back at those bullies for messing with her cousin, she failed to notice that her father was watching her from the playground, since he was there to fill in for magic class while the teacher was out sick, since he was sorcerer that was surround by magic all the time he was used to the energy changes in the air, but at Royal Prep it was a school that taught magic but not everyday or as often so it was not as high, so when he sensed another magic user nearby he was on high alert, in case the stranger was up to no good.

So when it came for lunch/recess he used that time to scan the area for where the magic was coming from and was surprised when he felt a familiar magical signature.

'What is Sofia doing here?' He thought as he decided to go investigate just to be safe and when he got closer to where the magic was coming from he quickly spots his child hiding behind the bushes and was furious when he saw her casting magic on some unarmed children, so when she turns around her smile was quickly replace with a look of dread when she sees her furious father stand behind her.

"Papa I-" She was quickly stopped by Cedric holding his hand up for silence and then holds out his hand making Sofia wince knowing that he wanted for her to hand him her wand, so with great reluctant, she gives it to him, watching as he tucks into his inner robe pockets before firmly putting his hand on Sofia's shoulder and firmly leading them out of the bushes much to the young girl's horror and embarrassment as soon everyone was looking and whispering, while Maddy, Amber and James were looking both concerned and confused by her presence.

But no one stops them as both father and daughter went inside the school and back to his temporary classroom in silence.

The moment the door closed Cedric finally spoke saying, "I want you to put your nose in a corner and remain there until school is over, thankfully today is a half day for Royal Prep so you will have an hour to think about your explanation for skipping school and using magic on children, not that it will save you from punishment." that part was muttered mostly to himself as he watched his child walk over to the corner nearest his desk, while he did some paper work thanking Merlin that after lunch and recess school was over, he really didn't want to humiliate Sofia like that, while he was strict in some ways, he wasn't cruel so with that thought he resumed his paperwork until the final bell rang and he turns to were Sofia was still standing.

"Sofia, you may come out now." he said gently watching as the girl turns around to reveal that she had been crying and that broke Cedric heart as he held his arms out for her which she accepted as she embraced him hardly apologizing and crying as the man comforts her.

When the crying stopped he gently tips her chin up to look into her eyes and said, "Let go home, we will talk about more later this evening after you have a nap." the girl whines at hearing that, but mostly stayed silent as they teleported home.

After greeting Baileywick they went straight for their tower, where Cedric shooed Sofia to go take a nap before dinner, after that he looked over his notes and schedules to see if he need to prepare any potions or tonics in the next few weeks and was glad to see that he only had to give the King his allergy potion soon and so with that he puts everything away for later and decides to go see if their dinner was ready yet, so he leaves a short note in case Sofia wakes up before he gets back, and leaves to head down to the kitchens.

Meanwhile Sofia was laying in her bed unable to sleep, as the guilt ate at her, she had really screwed up today.

'What was I even thinking?! Oh that right you didn't think at all!' Sofia thought angrily to herself as she cried into her pillow until she fell asleep, only to gently awaken by her Papa, who was smiling at her gently.

"Dinner's ready." He said while Sofia nodded stay quiet not smiling as she got up and followed the man out to where their small dining area was, a simple meal of chicken, mixed vegetables, some grapes and freshly baked bread with butter all washed down with a glass of blueberry juice.

Once the meal was done and the dishes were sent back to be cleaned, Cedric turns to Sofia and said "Let's go talk in the living room shall we?"

Sofia nods and sighs as she goes into the living room area and sits next to her Papa on the small couch waiting to hear what he had to say.

"I want you to know that what did today was foolish and dangerous, using a spell on a child that is younger then you is not only cowardly, but is a form of bullying and I know that I didn't raise you to be a bully, I want you to explain to me what was going through your head when decided to not only skip school but to attempt teleportation without adult supervision all the while trespassing onto Royal Prep's grounds."

Sofia gulps as she slowly explained about what happened with Maddy and how she wanted to get back at those kids that were hurting her cousin and that while she knew that teleporting was dangerous she surprised she even pulled it off at all and well the rest was bit an afterthought as she really didn't plan on being there so long or for the fact that Cedric was going to be there.

Cedric stayed silent for the whole explanation and only resume speaking when she stopped.

"You are grounded for the foreseeable future, you will only leave this tower to go only to school, your wand privilege's are limited to only school and homework, after that you are surrender your wand to me until I feel I can trust you to use it responsibly, no having friends over or even your cousins for that matter, also I want a 2 page essay on why using teleportation without adult supervision is dangerous, I shall give you a few books for research and you are to apologize to the Headmistresses for trespassing onto the school's grounds and cursing their students, am I understood?"

Sofia nods accepting the punishment, while trying to not cry when she realized that she had broken her Papa's trust in her, but she knew that she had to earn it back by following her punishment to the letter.

Seeing how upset his daughter was Cedric pulls her close and said, "Just know that I will always love you, no matter what, you showed poor judgement today and now you have to learn from it, okay?" he saw her nod tiredly, as he took a quick peek at the clock and decided that an early night would do them good so he carefully scoops Sofia up into his arms and tucks her into bed with kiss on the forehead and whispered good night before heading to bed himself.

For the next 2 weeks life was pretty calm and boring for both Sofia and Cedric as they went about their days, with Sofia following her grounding to the letter, she manage to complete the essay her father assigned and now knew that she wouldn't be attempting unsupervised teleportation any time soon, plus she brought to the Royal Prep to apologize to the Headmistresses for her actions, for which she was forgiven much to her relief, but now she was sitting in potions class bored out of her mind unable to focus at all as she tried to follow the professor's lecture, but was nearly falling asleep only to poked awake by Athena.

Shaking her head a bit to wake up she finally heard the bell ring and soon she was walking down the crowded halls just barely avoiding walking into a wall thanks to Athena catching her before she could face plant.

"Sofia you alright?" She asked concerned for her long time friend.

Sofia goes to nod, but then quickly shake her head tears shining in her eyes as she said her voice shaky, "I really screwed up this time."

Athena pulls her into a empty bathroom and locks the door and said, "Tell me." so Sofia told her what had happened 2 weeks earlier and her punishment and how she was feeling really out of it since then, but she just powered through it no matter how hard it was and since her Papa was busy with work she didn't want to bother him so she kept it a secret.

By the time Sofia was done she was silently sobbing while Athena just held her close, internally determined to talk with her Uncle about what was happening to her friend.
