Chapter 7 Night Fail

Disclaimer: I don't own anything. This is just a story for fun.

It had been a few peaceful days at the Bagge Farmhouse with no craziness going, since Sheep and Farmer John had arrived at the farm. Sheep got along well with Courage and Farmer John got along well with Muriel. Eustace just kept to himself and only acknowledged the guests for payments or to sometimes get a extra pair of hands to help him with one task or another. So far there was no sign of the Secret Military Organization, which helped put Sheep's mind at ease, but little did anyone know was that the peace was going to come to a end.

At the military base, General Specific and his troops had settled in. Private Public was still weary about the community service staff as he went about locating Sheep and Farmer John. He eventually located Sheep at the Bagge Farmhouse and reported back in to his superior. General Specific came up with a plan to try and capture Sheep at night and had gone about ordering all black uniforms for himself and his troops to camouflage themselves for the operation.

The black uniforms arrived at the base and the crates were put in the main hanger. General Specific had his forces gathered in the mess hall for briefing and to increase morale among his troops. As that was going on a shadowy figure snuck into the hanger and made it's way to one of the uniform boxes. The figure grabbed a box that had General Specific's uniform in it and removed the black shoes from it, before replacing them with two black bunny slippers and spraying them with a bottle marked 'Scent of Rabbit'. The intruder put the bunny slippers in the box and walked away taking the boots.

General Specific and his forces walked into the hanger a little later to change into their black outfits. Private Public and the soldiers were wearing all black versions of their normal uniforms and General Specific was wearing a black version of his own uniform along with black bunny slippers. Private Public and the troops stared at General Specific's footwear.

"Why are you wearing slippers?" Asked Private Public.

"Darn delivery company must have gotten my order wrong, oh well these are black and functional, so I guess they'll do." Said General Specific.

With that said the troops headed out for their mission. It was nighttime, when General Specific and his troops arrived at the Bagge Farmhouse. The military forces slowly made their way to the house try to be stealthy as ninjas. Muriel was outside on the opposite side of the house where the military were coming in from picking some carrots she had in a little makeshift garden. The old lady hummed peacefully to herself, when a cute bunny rabbit hopped over to her. Muriel smiled at the rabbit and began to offer the little creature a carrot. The rabbit sniffed the offered vegetable and was about to nibble it, when it just suddenly vanished and a hole appeared where the rabbit had once stood. Muriel blinked her eyes in confusion as she looked down at the hole still holding the carrot.

"Where'd you go?" Asked Muriel.

Suddenly something hairy and olive green with sharp teeth came out of the hole and bit Muriel's hand! Muriel cried out in pain and surprise as she drew her hand back and whatever bit her vanished back down the hole. Farmer John, Courage, and Sheep raced out of the house to see what was the matter and they helped Muriel into the house as she nursed her hand, which had begun swelling.

Deep underground a monster known as a weremole licked some of Muriel's blood off it's sharp teeth before it caught the scent of a rabbit nearby and headed towards it. A few minutes later the weremole popped out of the ground nearby General Specific and chopped into his right for believing it was a rabbit.

"Aaaaaaaaa!" Cried General Specific in both surprise and pain as he leaped around on one foot swinging the weremole around.

"What the heck is that?!" Cried one solider.

"Get it off! Get it off!" Cried General Specific.

"Hold him, men!" Ordered Private Public to a couple of soldiers.

A couple of soldiers grabbed General Specific holding him steady as Private Public grabbed the weremole and pulled with all his might. A few seconds later the weremole along with the bunny slipper was pulled off and tossed to the ground. The weremole shook the bunny slipper like a rag doll, before Private Public quickly shot the monster with a tranquilizer gun and knocked the creature out.

"When did you get that?" Asked a soldier.

"I ordered it to help catch Sheep." Said Private Public.

"My...foot." Groaned General Specific as his foot swelled up.

"Alright troops, we're aborting the mission. Take the general and that weird creature back to base." Said Private Public.

Some troops carried General Specific on a stretcher, while the weremole was put in a pet cage for transport. The military forces headed back to base unaware that things were going to get crazy for both them and the residence at the Bagge Farmhouse.

To be continued.
