Disclaimer: The canonicity of this chapter is up in the air, what mainly happened in-game was the rest of the group just mined copper and fought Hungry Bandits while Beep and Ed had their excellent adventure. Happy April 1st!

Rum and Ed

"So, what did you guys do while we were gone, Eddy?" Ed asked.

Eddy rubbed his chin, "Uh…you know, a lot if it is a blur…"

TWO NIGHTS AGO

Double-D and Eddy sat in their main building wrought with worry when Kang walked in carrying a blue jug, "Hey boss! I brought you something to cheer you up!'

Kang set the jug on the table and Eddy eyed it, suspiciously, "What're ya givin' me here? Dirtwater?"

Kang laughed, "Nah, boss! It's some special spiced rum! The barkeep had some in stock!"

Double-D took out a glass, "Yeah, we may as well be drinking our sorrows away. Hit me."

Kang opened up the jug and poured Double-D a glass.

"Woah, hold on Double-D, you're gonna drink that?" Eddy asked.

"One of my best friends is out there lost in a dangerous world and my mind is firing all cylinders worrying about him. If this provides even a small bit of relief, I'll be satisfied." Double-D then drank from his glass.

Eddy shrugged and picked up a glass, "Eh, when in Rome. Give me some of that."

Kang poured Eddy some of the potent potable and Eddy put it to his lips.

YESTERDAY

"WE'RE GONNA BE RICH, DOUBLE-D!" Eddy screamed as he mined the copper vein with a wild smile.

"INDEED, WE WILL!" Double-D screamed back as he mined the copper vein with a wild smile.

"YOU'RE LIKE, MY BEST BUD, DOUBLE-D! YOU'RE MORE A BRO TO ME THAN MY BROTHER WAS!"

"THE FEELING IS MUTUAL, EDDY!"

Eddy and Double-D were working on the copper mine like madmen with wicked grins on their faces. Mining ore and zipping them to the box and coming back in mere seconds. The rest of the Edboys watched in awe.

"I've never seen these two move so fast before!" Ruka told the others.

"I've never seen Eddy WORK before!" Shyrke added.

"Seems their friend being away snapped something in the two of them." Noted Crumblejon.

"Either that or it was the bloodrum I gave 'em last night." Said Kang.

"I'm sorry, WHAT?" Shryke asked.

"I gave them bloodrum last night." Kang repeated, "They both grew crazy smiles and then grabbed some pickaxes and have been mining copper ever since."

"You big idiot! Do you know what's in that stuff?"

"Rum and blood?"

"NO! Rum and HASHISH!" Shyrke cried out, "You may as well have given them DEATH! They're not supposed to have that!"

Eddy suddenly appeared behind Shryke and patted her head, "Don't ya worry your pretty head, Shryke! We feel great! I haven't felt this much energy since season one!"

Eddy then zipped away to mine more copper.

Shryke held her arms out, "Okay, not only is he speaking complete nonsense, but he also used my actual name! This is bad!"

Double-D then suddenly appeared next to her, "I appreciate your concerns, Shryke! But there's no need to worry!"

Double-D then zipped away to mine more copper.

Rane shrugged, "Well, there's not much we can do aside from grab some dried meat and watch the show until the bloodrum runs its course."

Bard smiled, "Sounds good to me, I needed a day off myself."

Suddenly, a group of Hungry Bandits approached the two of them, "Give us your food and we won't-"

"EDDY! MOOCHERS!" Double-D yelled.

Eddy tossed aside his pickaxe as he glared at the bandits, "OH NO YOU DON'T! THIS GOLDEN GOOSE IS MINE!" Eddy yelled as he lunged at them.

"WHAT'S GOOD FOR THE GOOSE IS GOOD FOR THE GANDER!" Double-D yelled as he lunged at the bandits too.

The two of them started moving and punching the bandits so fast that it created a big ball of violence, obscuring the massive brawl.

"How in Okran's name are they doing THAT?" Griffin asked.

Ruka shrugged, "I don't know! They do weird stuff like this sometimes!"

"They've done this before?" Rane asked.

"Not this specifically, but they do WEIRD things!" Shryke added.

One of the bandits fell out of the big ball of violence and reached out for the Edboys, "Help! Please!" he begged.

Eddy reached out of the big ball and grabbed the bandit, "OH NO YOU DON'T!" and dragged the bandit back in.

Eventually, the massive cloud dissipated and revealed a small pile of bodies with Double-D and Eddy standing triumphantly on top without a scratch on them.

Eddy pumped his fists in the air, "Woo-hoo! Eat your heart out, PowerPuff Girls!"

Eddy and Double-D laughed with their arms around each other until they both fell asleep.

The rest of the Edboys were stunned.

"...what the fuck just happened?" Bard asked.

"It may be better not knowing." Griffin told him.

Ruka went to the pile and picked up Eddy, "Okay, Shryke and I are going to clean up Lord Eddy and Double-D then put them to bed. The rest of you patch these poor bastards up."

"This one is dead!" Kang suddenly told her, poking one of the bandits with his sabre, "He's definitely dead!" he kept poking the bandit with his sabre.

Rane grabbed Kang's arm, "Stop it, you little maniac!"

Shryke groaned, "Okay, find out who's still alive, patch them up, and just move the dead bodies out of sight! If they don't see them, then it never happened!"

Crumblejon rubbed his chin, "I assume this is a situation we never speak of again? We should at least get our story straight if they ask questions when they wake up…"

LAST NIGHT

Eddy and Double-D were groaning in bed.

"My aching head…and back…" Eddy groaned.

Double-D drank some water, "My throat is drier than the air…why isn't it light out yet?"

"Uh, you guys slept the entire day." Shryke lied.

"Are you kidding me? Man, that stuff Kang gave us must've knocked us out. No wonder my back hurts, I've been in bed all day!" Eddy ranted.

Shryke nodded, "Yeah, uh, you two really shouldn't drink that spiced rum again. All it did was knock you out."

"Is Ed back at least?" Double-D asked.

EARLIER TODAY

Eddy and Double-D were looking at a full crate of copper, "Holy cow! Where did all this come from?" Eddy asked.

Ruka nervously looked from side to side, "Uh, we all just…mined it? We got so busy yesterday we forgot to sell it."

Eddy smiled at her, "This is great! We have a couple more days like this, and we could probably buy this entire town!"

"You think so, Eddy?" Double-D asked.

Eddy nodded, "Yeah! I'll get a house! You'll get a house! Everyone will get a house!"

"Woo! I want the biggest one!" Bard cried out.

"Bard, you get a shed and nothing more." Eddy told him.

"OH, COME ON!"

BACK TO THE PRESENT

"So uh, yeah, we got quite a bit of Cats now." Eddy summed up.

Ed smiled, "Cool! Can I try that spiced rum?"

"NO!" Ruka and Shryke screamed.
