Person's of Interest
Stepping out of the decontamination room, Takashi and Ryuji were given a fresh pair of clothes, mainly a pair of grey sweat pants and shirt with running shoes, leaving them feeling like inmates before they were given the addition of an arm band, which had the label, immune, High VIP.
Leaving them both confused as they were ushered to the civilian area, looking over the lobby of the refurbished hotel, a few people were lying down on cots provided for sleep, some people had children with them, moving to the doors to the Parking lot where they're group were set up, Takashi noted a Missing Person's board being set up by both military and civilian alike.
Opening the door for Ryuji, Takashi followed him with his eyes scanning the area, noting a lot of military presence while a Helipad was in the middle of being set up, Takashi also spotted snipers stationed on rooftops.
Moving through a set of double doors, they were greeted with an inner garden before emerging once again into the area where Takashi saw Saya.
Looking for his girlfriend, Takashi looked to his right to get a desperate kiss from said girlfriend, returning the kiss while hugging her close, Saya leaned back with her eyes red from crying.
Holding her cheeks gently, the two simply stared into one another's eyes lovingly, swaying in place, Saya spoke with a hiccup.
"You had us worried, when I saw you get pulled from the window, i…I couldn't-" pulling her into a hug that she returned, Saya continued.
"I Lost all hope" kissing her forehead, Takashi looked to see Ryuji had left to give them some privacy.
"Get a hold of your parents?" getting a nod, Saya leaned back to speak while clearing her eyes.
"Yes, They've made our estate into a literal base, Using all kinds of cars as barricades, They sent a few convoys to give aid and hopefully get them over here for evacuation" perking up at that, Takashi spoke.
"That's great news, what about everyone else?" this gained him a wince from Saya.
"Rei's father didn't make it, her mother however is holed up with a group in a Mall, so far everyone else's family is either dead or out of the quarantine zone" getting a sigh from Takashi as he rested his head against hers, he spoke.
"Where are we staying?" grabbing his right hand, Saya led him to a building where he spotted Alice playing with the dog they rescued, alongside Xian Mei who was keeping her entertained.
Spotting the two, she gave them a wave of greeting.
"Was beginning to worry, you and Ryuji went radio silent" getting a wince from Takashi, she continued.
"Sakamoto already filled me in on what happened, It is however odd this outbreak was caused by a sound, it also triggered what my group have called, Fury Mode. We'll discuss this and our next course of action tonight, The situation is becoming dire on the streets" getting a confused look from Takashi, he followed Saya inside.
Seeing Rei huddling into Hisashi, the two spotted him before jumping up to hug him, leaving Takashi laughing as he returned the hug.
"Glad you two are ok, sorry about your dad, Rei" looking around to see Saeko beside Sojiro, Futaba was working on a military Laptop looking through security cameras.
"So what did we miss?" sitting down, Futaba brought the laptop for him to see.
"I've been recruited to provide over watch to teams that go looking for missing persons" giving the little gremlin an incredulous look, Takashi spared a glance to Saya who nodded in confirmation.
Moving to sit down, Takashi spoke as Ryuji and a cleaned up Majima joined them.
"Explain to me these missions?" giving him a look of surprise, Futaba spoke while aiming the laptop to the trio.
"It's basically search and Rescue, most of these are posted by people looking for friends or family as some form of closure, unfortunately some of these end up a failure due to the squads sent out either being forced to retreat or getting over run" Looking over the posts, Takashi looked up before turning to Futaba.
"I noticed they were putting up Bulletin boards for a more physical thing for this, is that also part of this?" getting a nod from Futaba she spoke.
"Those are for people who came here and headed out to get some things, most of them against protocol as this place was being properly set up, some people come back while others are labelled MIA, Why?" giving Ryuji and Majima a look, Ryuji gave a look of interest while Majima rubbed his chin in thought.
"The posts online, which one's are those?"
"Ah, those are labelled IPL, Important Person's Location, mostly scientists and researchers-" Looking to her laptop as it pinged a fresh post, Futaba smiled.
"It seems they found a scientist not too far in an attempt of a Medical Hub, it's currently got Hounds and Crusher's stalking around the area" Standing up, Takashi went to speak if not for Ryuji to speak.
"Don't bother we're in" looking at him for a full minute, Majima nodded.
"Huh, well I guess we're earning our keep here, so what else do they have around here?" Getting a snort from Rei, she spoke softly.
"They have a store for supplies, they sometimes send out soldiers to acquire gear, such as weapons, ammo, parts for repairs and the like, They also have posts for anyone either stupid or brave enough to venture outside to scored big, luckily we've spotted an abandoned Convoy we could go out to and bring back, except it's crawling with zombies" giving his friend a look as his thoughts went back and forth, Takashi spoke.
"So we've got two options, either loot a Convoy for better gear, or we can head straight for the scientist they're trying to rescue" turning to Majima and Ryuji, he spoke with a shrug.
"Any suggestions?"
