A/N: In my continuing quest to write about various national holidays that KagamiPINKAgreste mentioned on her profile, today is National Film Score Day. Besides, I needed an excuse to write Sonouge.

Though the weather report had predicted a likely chance of rain, Rouge the Bat insisted on flying across the Kingdom of Mobius to the eastern part of the country anyways. Eventually, she found what she was looking for: a cabin at the southern part of Azure Lake Zone. After alighting on the front welcome mat, she knocked on the door.

"Comin'!"

The door opened, and…

"Hey Rouge!"

"Hello, Big Blue!"

Rouge gave Sonic the Hedgehog a big hug and kiss, which he gladly returned. Though not originally one for romance, this bat had changed his mind when he saw just how much of him was reflected in her. Eventually, they let go.

"Come on in, Mama!"

Sonic led Rouge into the cabin, and Miles "Tails" Prower was present.

"Well Sonic, it took you…AUNTIE ROUGE!"

"Hey there, Fox Boy!"

Rouge gave Tails a quick peck on the cheek in addition to a big hug. When they first met, Tails didn't really trust Rouge that much, but after seeing her interact positively with Sonic, his opinion changed drastically, and he looked forward to having such cozy hugs with her. Eventually, they let go.

"So Sonic, what are you and Fox Boy up to today?"

"Oh, we were just listenin' to movie soundtracks and eatin' a big bowl of nachos. Accordin' to Tails, today is National Film Score Day."

Sure enough, the coffee table was littered with various records, tapes and CDs of various film soundtracks, including Death Wish, Toy Story, Smokey and the Bandit, and various James Bond soundtracks. Rouge smiled when she saw this smorgasbord:

"Wow, that's a very interesting holiday! Mind if I join in?"

Sonic gave a thumbs up. "Have a seat, Mama! There's plenty of nachos for all of us!"

"Grand!"

Rouge took a seat on the couch, and Sonic and Tails continued to listen to their current selection, which was the Back to the Future soundtrack. In between eating nachos, Sonic and Tails would occasionally re-enact dialogue from the movie to match the score, which got Rouge giggling really hard:

"OK, you two are too much!"

Tails giggled too. "Glad we can amuse, Auntie Rouge!"

Eventually, the soundtrack finished.

"So, what do ya wanna listen to next?" asked Sonic.

Rouge smiled. "Well, why don't we do something a little more jazzy?"

Sonic grabbed an LP of the Death Wish sountrack. "Ya like Herbie Hancock?"

Rouge let out a happy gasp and put her hands on her cheeks. "OH…MY…GOSH! I LOVE HERBIE HANCOCK!"

"Then let's spin it!"

Sonic put the record on the turntable and played it. Rouge smiled and leaned her head against Sonic as the jazzy stylings of the Death Wish soundtrack caressed her big ears. While she loved pretty much all subgenres of jazz music, it wasn't often that Rouge listened to funkier stuff like Herbie Hancock. Still, it was enjoyable sharing this with her boyfriend and her adopted nephew. Eventually, they all got through both sides of the album.

"So, what do we wanna listen to next?" asked Sonic.

"You choose, hon," said Rouge.

"Yeah, it is your turn, Sonic," said Tails.

"OK!"

Sonic put on the Mad Max soundtrack next. When the CD got to the romantic stylings of "The Beach House", Sonic and Rouge started making out, much to Tails' chagrin:

"Guys, can we please cut it out with the smooching? This isn't National Kissing Day!"

Sonic and Rouge kept making out.

"Sonic, Rouge, I said stop!"

Once again, Sonic and Rouge ignored Tails.

"Keep trying me and I'll…"

Still, Sonic and Rouge continued to make out.

"OK, that's it! You two are getting the Q-Phaser treatment!"

Tails went to his workshop to get the Q-Phaser in an attempt to pry Sonic and Rouge apart. Little did he know, it was to be one of the latest in a series of failed attempts at getting them to stop making out…

Criticism is gold. Negativity and nitpicking are pyrite.
