Chapter 12

A Raging Sparks

Yang and Ultimate stood and stared at each other for a minute. Yang wasn't sure what to make of him. He was… something to look at. However, Yang did see he was capable of a lot of that, and she was more of a brawler with no idea where she was, so black and sexy or not, he was the person for the job. Granted, she doesn't have a choice.

Yang finally clapped her hands together. "Okay," she said calmly. "Let's go." She began walking past Ultimate was confused, to say the least. He grabbed her wrist.

"Wait a minute," Ultimate said, causing Yang to turn back. "I know it's strange to ask this to a person I don't know and flew through the air with an explosion behind her," Ultimate said, his voice dripping with joking sarcasm. "But who are you?"

Yang raised an eyebrow as she turned back, causing Ultimate to let go of her wrist. "Madam Web, didn't tell you anything about me?"

Ultimate sighed. "Of course, she didn't," he thought. "Surprisingly," Ultimate started. "Almost all-knowing mystical spider lady in control of the universe of Spider-men and women doesn't say much."

Yang was silent for a minute, both amused and confused. "Huh," was all she said first but then looked at him. "My name's Yang. I'm from another dimension; here to help."

Ultimate scoffed a bit. "Well, that came out with a bang," he quipped.

Yang smirked. "I think it came out with a 'Yang,'" she quipped back as she leaned in slightly closer. "I'm ready to play, Spider."

Ultimate could feel the tension in his chest and wasn't fear… he wasn't quite sure how to describe it. "Are you sure you don't have a Felica from your dimension? Thief? Catlike? Is it very persuasive and… interesting? Bad luck follows her?"

Yang raised an eyebrow. "No," she held out a bit. "Was a thief is… cat-like, and more stubborn than me. Not named Felica. Don't have a Spider-man either." Ultimate hummed, and Yang stepped back. "In my dimension, you don't even exist except in a video game."

"You're kidding?"

"I'm from another dimension."

"Never mind."

"Anywho," Yang continued. "When the other you shattered the tablet, it activated something in my game opened to my dimension, and if your dimension shatters, so does mine." Yang then looked dead serious. "I'm not going to let that happen. You get my help, like it or not. Not and you will have more problems."

Ultimate just looked at Yang. First, he'd like Madam Web to tell him things before putting a chaotic alien goo on him and sending him someone from another dimension. She did look… capable, and hey, she did have a great sense of humor if he did say so himself, but…

"Besides using explosive bullets to fall with style, do you have any powers?"

Yang looked confused. "Bullets? Don't have bullets; we use dust."

"Don't tell me that you mean rocks."

Yang scratched the back of her head. "Yes and no; Let's just say the source could do some real damage without you knowing what to do and occasionally if you just drop it."

"Noted," Ultimate said quickly. "Your powers?"

Yang smirked. "I can't show that, but let's say: I can take a hit and send it back better than ever."

Ultimate hummed. "If I'm going off that, that means any powerful hits she takes; she can send it back ten times harder. It's like absorbing energy and sending it back. That could help." Ultimate claps his hands together. "I'd normally form a none-killing-or backstabbing contract—"

"Geez."

"But since we both are in a hurry for saving dimensions. I'll do a quick hire on the spot."

Yang pumped her fist, which locked her gauntlets in ready action. "Glad to work overtime."

Ultimate smirked, although he knew she couldn't see it. He then turned to a more woods-like area. "My spider-sense was picking up something in that woods, outskirts of town. We can check that out." Ultimate then looked at Yang. "You can shoot that dust stuff again."

Yang shrugged. "Sure, but not great when I don't know where I'm going and a huge waste of dust."

Ultimate pointed to his back. "Let's call this transport complication."

Yang smirked, walked towards him, and adjusted herself on his back. "Let's get to work."

Ultimate gave a quick chuckle and ran and then shot a webline to the tree and swung on it with Yang giving a small cheer.

"What's that weird smell?"

"Really…"

"God no," Ultimate quickly answered. "Oh right, fresh air!"

Ultimate swung through the woods with Yang on his back, who seemed to be enjoying herself.

Yang smirked. "Don't get out much, do you?"

"I get out all the time," Ultimate quipped. "Just not in a place where I don't smell car exhaust. You seem like a city girl."

Yang chuckled. "I live in a place called Patch, though the city does have a flare to it; I think I'd stick to my home."

Ultimate scoffed as he shot another webline. "I wish I could enjoy being out of the city." Yang raised her eyebrow as she listened. "This suit is throwing me. I feel dirty..." Before Yang could respond, Ultimate jumped down and landed on a cliff edge. Yang got off his back and looked over the edge, "and not in fun 'let's go clubbing way,'"

Yang smirked. "You have not seen that last club I went to."

Ultimate looked at her, confused. "What kinda club did you go to?"

"One where you tear down the roof."

Ultimate looked at her, only for Yang to wink. "What did—" Ultimate shook his head. "Okay, gotta focus," he quickly said, facing forward along with Yang. "The magic rock is around here somewhere. My spider-sense is going nuts."

"Hey," Yang stated, getting Ultimate's attention. "Don't have spider-sense, which again sucks," she pointed to the electrical plant with the electrical fuses going off and going nuts. "Buuut, I just figured out where."

Ultimate gestured to the power plant. "Ladies first."

Yang chuckled as she loaded her gauntlets. "You got that right!" She then did a slight run and shot off a blast, launching her in the air and landing over the fence. Ultimate shot off a webline and swung over the wall and inside the power plant.

Ultimate then landed beside Yang. "Hey," Yang started. He then pointed in the distance. "Friend of yours?"

Ultimate looked to where Yang was pointing; a figure gave in electric waves of silvery blue, kneeling to the ground looking like he was absorbing energy. Ultimate sighed. "Oh, you have no idea."

Seeming to hear the two, the silver figure glanced at them but began to float in the air as electricity surrounded him bursting out with only small sparks surrounding him; he's known as Electro. "Aww," the figure stated, his voice sounding static, "if it isn't the spectacular spider-schmuck." He then glanced to see Yang. "Oh, and his little barbie doll."

Yang ignored the remark, though she wanted to punch him in the gut… granted, she didn't know what a barbie was but considering the doll came after it… it was worth a black eye.

Ultimate was about to say something but quickly held out his hand to block something. "Oh dude, pants!" he said in mocking disgust. "No one wants to see your junk, especially the lady here."

Yang paused for a moment as if examining. "Yeah, he can put pants on."

Ultimate stifled a laugh as Yang smirked, and even Electro looked embarrassed but quickly recovered and was angry. "Keep laughin' punks," he then smirked as he showed them the rock. Yang and Ultimate slightly stiffened. They knew what it was: one of the fragments of Order and Chaos. "See what I found?"

Yang gave a scoff. "Yeah, it's pretty. I'll like it." She held out her hand with an almost serious look. "Give it."

Electro chuckled wickedly. "Not a chance. Hey, what do you think happens if I use it?"

Ultimate and Yang exchanged looks with each other. "Uhh… interest rate goes down?"

"You get free internet and no electricity bills?"

Suddenly the electric pole sparked out of control, causing Yang and Ultimate to slightly jump as they looked around at the surge of electricity going to one person…

"Yes!" Electro muttered with excitement. "It's like my powers are unleashed. Now I can absorb ALL this energy. ENERGY WITHOUT LIMIT!"

Ultimate shrugged. "And yet still no pants."

"And nothing to show for it."

Electro growled in frustration. "Tell me what you think of this!" Through lifted his hands in the air and slammed in mid-air, like he was slamming his fist into the ground, causing a shocking way. Yang and Ultimate slightly backed up, but it didn't even hit them.

However, the two only saw two truck engines start, and headlights turned on. Ultimate and Yang exchanged deadpan looks before giving the same look to Electro. "We're real impressed. We've never seen anyone start a truck," Ultimate said sarcastically.

Even so, Electro scoffed, "Laugh it up, losers." He then snapped his fingers as sparks came off it. Suddenly the electricity from the transformers and power lines hit the ground. Those sparks created electric dog-like monsters formed in a flash of light, made of only pure electricity.

Yang stood in her fighting stance, readying her gauntlets; they looked like electric versions of grim to her. However, Ultimate wasn't used to it; he stood in his fight position. "What the—" he exclaimed.

Electro chuckled. "Impressive, huh?!"

"Little versions of you."

The creature came running as Yang readied herself. "This may come as a shock—" as the beast jumped at her, she punched it, and all with a shot sound from her gauntlet, and the creature exploded. Electro was… amazed, and Ultimate was shocked. Yang cocked her head. "Not my first monster. Electric just makes it fun."

Electro quickly got and gritted his teeth and sent the rest of his creatures after them. As Yang reloaded her gauntlets, Ultimate ran past her and charged as he relied back on his fist and punched the creature with the costume attacking it, causing it to vanish. "Huh," Ultimate thought, "At least it's working with me, extending a bit of my range."

Suddenly, they heard an explosion from above, as Yang flew flipped over him and slammed her fist into the creature a bit further in front. "Then again, so can she." He then hurried a growl before ducking from the creature's claw attack. He flipped backward and did a high front kick, and the monster vanished.

Yang continued to punch and kick some of the creatures. As one of the creatures, she suddenly felt a sharp shock on her back. She gritted her teeth but looked around and saw some power lines shocking electric. Yang smirked as she loaded her gauntlets, relied back on upon, fired dust, shooting the creature, and causing the beast. However, before she could reveal it, another shot flew past her. She once again shot at another creature and avoided more. "Spidey! High voltage!" she yelled as she avoided and fired from her gauntlet."

Ultimate punched another creature and vanished before turning to register what Yang said. "High—"

His spider-sense went off and quickly dodged a flying electric bolt and noticed one of the creatures on the power line tower. "Ah, see the high," Ultimate quickly shot some web on the empty barrel and, with his strength, swung the barrel hitting the creature, and it vanished. "And I take the low."

"Look out!"

Just as he heard Yang's warning, his spider-sense and a horn went off. He turned to one of the trucks speeding towards him. Before he could even shoot a webline, he heard a yell and an explosion. Right in front of him, Yang bawls up her fist and slams it into the front of the truck. The horn sound immediately died, and the truck stopped, just as Yang landed on her knees.

"Whoa," was all Ultimate could say.

Yang turned Ultimate. "You, okay?"

Ultimate shook his head. "Yeah," he then smirked… though Yang couldn't see it. "You, okay? I know it was a bit of a load."

Yang pumped her arm with a smirk of her own. "I'm good. I can 'truck' it."

"Oh, I am already loving this," Ultimate said.

Yang just smirked as the two-faced forward. Electro was gone, but a trail of spark and electricity was left behind.

Ultimate sighed. "This can't be good."

Yang reloaded her gauntlets. "Let's make it better." Yang cocked her head to the side. "Should I say it?"

Ultimate had felt but shook his and smiled… though she couldn't see it again. "Save the best for later."

"Right."

Two heroes swiftly ran off through the tunnel, following the electric trail.

Yang and Ultimate ran through the building and through what seemed like a hall as electricity was buzzing on the wires against the wall. "I take it he went that way," Ultimate stated.

"It's Buzzing me off my senses," Yang joked.

"I love it, but save it for Electro, he'll love it even more."

Yang smirked before she could say anything the electrical noises got louder and started going wilder. Yang and Ultimate exchanged looks before the two started running down the hall.

The two stopped at the end of the water system with people, who seemed like workers. Some screamed with fright and some back away against the wall away from the site they were seeing Electro floating above the water. Electro looked down and say Yang and Ultimate. "Great," he groaned in annoyance. He quickly flew over to what looked like a generator box. He gave a wicked smirk before shooting it with electricity. Elector then gave a wicked laugh. The two heroes gritted their teeth about what he did. Electro smirked once more before flying through the exit door and the electricity caused the door to slam shut.

Suddenly the platforms shook causing Yang, Ultimate, and the workers to lose balance. Almost immediately, the water from the large tubes started gushing out like crazy. "This is not good," Ultimate muttered. He then looked to the platform without one of the workers on there. He then looked back at Yang. "Can you make it to the platform on your own?"

Yang held up her gauntlets and loaded them and then gave a cocky grin. Ultimate's smile couldn't be seen, but Yang could feel it. Ultimate shot a webline to the ceiling and swung to the platform. Yang ran to the edge but quickly shot her gauntlets causing her to fly the platform and gave off another shot before landing on the platform with Ultimate, startling the worker on the platform.

"S-Sp-Spiderman! What are you doing here?" the worker asked.

"Enjoying the electrical plant," Ultimate said slightly joking and slightly sarcastic. "What are you doing?"

The worker ignored it. "The water pump broke! This place is filling up like crazy!"

"Isn't there a plan for this?" Yang asked.

"We got two: One, every worker here can swim, and a fail-safe on the wall and won't fill up to the doors. In any cause, we could swim to it."

"Yeah," Ultimate started. "It's NEVER that easy. So, what's the catch now."

The worker pointed to the water below and Yang and Ultimate looked over. The water was practically sparked with electricity in the water. "If we even step our toe in that water, we are practically bacon. Not to mention, he most likely took out the fail-safe and the water won't stop till this place is full."

Yang and Ultimate looked up and back to the worker. "What's option two?" Yang asked

Worker sighed. "That's harder." He then pointed to the other platform far on the other side. "On that platform, are switches we manually use to stop and drain the water. We'd normally use the bridges that come down or the back door behind me would open."

"It's not a normal day, is it?" Ultimate asked.

"An electric guy with no pants destroyed the water generator and a girl in an outfit my daughter wouldn't wear is standing here, so you tell me?"

Yang's eyes flared red. "What about my outfit?"

The worker held his hand up in surrender. "I say that in the nicest way possible."

Yang groaned but her eyes stopped glowing red. "How many of you are there?"

"Including me, four."

Ultimate sighed as he stretched, "More people to save, All in heroic days' work."

Yang looked at the worker. "Is he always this?"

"Based on what I hear, yes," the worker answered honestly. "Though I never met Spidey in person," he then turned to Ultimate. "Though, I wouldn't be upset if we never met again."

Ultimate shrugged. "None taken." Ultimate then looked to Yang. "Can you take it?" Yang to look at the other platforms with the other workers. "Well, all four if you ignore all the odds."

"Yeah, I am good at math so hit me with the odds."

"Then, I can do better with the lower platforms. The higher ones I can get up there with some work; it's just the going down part."

The worker raised his hand. "If I get a vote, I'd have her take the lower platforms."

"You do and agreed," Ultimate said as he looked at Yang. "You get'em low and I get'em high."

Yang winked as Ultimate nodded, turned and shot a webline, and swung to the higher platform. Yang turned to the worker, who looked curious. "Are… are you mutant?" Yang raised her eyebrow. The worker held and shook his hand out as if he was in surrender. "No offense! My kids… my little girl's a mutant. So, I'm not against it just curious."

Yang just hummed, turned around, and pointed to her back. "Get on." The worker hesitated but got on to her back. Yang adjusted herself and smirked. "Don't let go."

Before the man could question it, Yang took a running start, jumped off the edge, and then shoot off her gauntlets getting her airborne. The man gave a small scream as Yang fired another shot getting her airborne again and landed on the platform with another worker already there. The worker didn't hesitate to get off Yang's back. Yang turned to the two workers. "You two work on getting out of here. I'll get your pal and see if I can beat Spidey." Yang ran off once more.

The two workers exchanged looks before going to their valve and turning it. As the worker looked to his side, another one of his pals came to his valve. "You, okay?" The man asked.

"I nearly got fired in water," the man exclaimed. "More than the noodles my wife cooks."

"Isn't she a terrible cook?"

"Exactly, why I'd actually end up fried for once, if not for Spiderman."

The worker sighed. "And me without with friend either."

"You mean that girl in that outfit my wife would kill me for even thinking about?"

Before the man could answer, they noticed the door opening. "It's working!"

The door came open the workers turned and there stood Yang and Spiderman. "Thanks for the door open," Ultimate said. "You guys get out of here and find someplace safe. You get a free day off."

Yang turned and winked at the worker. "Just sure your daughter knows, you don't care, curious or not."

The worker nodded before Ultimate and Yang ran out off through the hallway.

The worker with a terrible cook wife looked to his friend. "What was she talking about?"

"Just about Jenny."

"Ha! Some talk I got!

The two turned to see one of the workers chuckling and one with a bruised side of his face. "Well, what'd you say to her?"

The worker with black eye scoffed. "I told that mutant what I thought, nothing but a freak."

"Yet, still saved you."

"Only cause she needed me, Sorry excuse."

The worker turned to his friend with a terrible cook wife. "You what else we talked about."

"What?"

"This!" The worker quickly went up to the bruised face man and gave him a good punch in the stomach and the man toppled over.

"Ha! Now, that's a girl my wife would love."

Yang and Ultimate walked through the hallway. "Hey, what are mutants?" Yang finally asked.

"Oh," Ultimate said. "Well, that answers my question if you are one. Well, do you want the long or short version?"

"Long by tell me in three chapters."

"Alright, the short version is some people have a mutant gene called X-gene; it gives people supernatural powers to adapt to the environment as a supernatural defense."

Yang placed her hands on the back of her head. "That sounds like Aura."

"Aura?"

"Yeah, except it comes more from the soul."

"Music?"

"Real cute, web-head, but no from our actual souls. Not everyone has our abilities, but it's not uncommon."

Ultimate hummed. "So, why'd you give the work Phantom of the Opera style face?"

"Phantom— of you mean Grimm of the Opera."

Ultimate sighed exasperatedly. "Don't get me started with multiverse dimension stuff." Yang just smirked. "Just answer."

Yang actually looked serious almost startling Ultimate, but he didn't say anything. "I have a friend, my partner, she's… well back home she has a look that… some people don't like, it's called being a Faunus."

"Based on the name, I can guess what the look is."

Yang hummed. "I'll bet. She had a hard life because of it. No one deserves that life."

Ultimate didn't say a word. He knew a bunch of mutants, who had a similar story if not worse, old Wolvie being one of them. The way Yang talked about her friend being a Faunus, wasn't too far off either. Not to mention the way she talked about it… maybe she didn't have such a great life either. Hell, his life was not a picnic either. Back when had the black suit and was out of control, every angry feeling, sad moment, and strong urge popped into his head and every time he bet a bad guy hard… it felt good… but not the good he was raised on… not the good Uncle Ben would approve on.

"Yeah, well that's why we're here."

"Somehow yeah, that's why we're here."

The two heroes walked outside of the plant. The two had faced monsters but it was crazy how many that one pants-less electric guy could make… more than one would think.

Suddenly in the next tunnel, the two saw wild sparking sounds. The heroes exchanged looks before they ran into the tunnel. The two ran into the building and there was a large generator only to have two large purple monsters.

"Perfect," Ultimate said.

Before Yang could respond, one of the two creatures jumped on her off her causing her to give a small scream. She was now pinned to the ground as she struggled and roared in her face.

"YANG!"

Ultimate was about to attack the creature till on pounced on him and pinned him as well. However, because of the suit, his arms were free. "Hey! Get off me!" Ultimate growled, punching the creature, but he was still pinned. "Get off!" he yelled and gave another strong punch, but no use.

Ultimate was able to see Yang and the creature bit her and gave her shock. Yang howled in pain and Ultimate felt his heartbeat faster in pure anger. He then felt himself glaring at the creature with fire in his eyes. "I said GET OFF ME, YOU LITTLE FREAKS!" He then gave a powerful jumping kick to its face finally causing the monster to fall back and off him. Ultimate was up on his feet and looked at Yang was growling struggling to break free. For a moment, Yang's face turned to face with still golden blonde hair but not as much with a black headband on top and golden eyes and a much smaller frame…

Ultimate's mind and heart went crazy. Immediately, the creature pounced but the black goo of the suit forced the creature back. Ultimate soon panicked. "I knew this would happen! It's this SUIT!" Ultimate struggled as he pulled at the suit with little to no luck. "Gotta get it off me before I—" … it was too late. Ultimate roared and the black tentacles shot out. The suit gripped the monster holding it in place as Ultimate pounced on it like a crazy monster.

The monster seemed distracted, and Yang immediately pulled her hand out as her eyes turned red and punched the creature hard. Yang was at top speed and rapidly the creature. She finished it off with a downward kick and then a downward punch and the creature vanished into sparks. Yang turned to the other creature and her eyes turned back to purple. Ultimate was crazily punching and kicking the creature till it was gone.

"Spidey… are you—" Yang was cut off as the tentacles wrapped around her, tight. Yang struggled as it slowly came face-to-face with an out-of-control Ultimate. "Hey! Wake up! Wake up!" Yang yelled as frustratingly struggled. Ultimate the roared in his face.

"Peter. Call him Peter!"

Yang wanted to question but quickly as the voice said.

"PETER!"

Suddenly, Ultimate stopped, and Yang was roughly dropped to the ground. She then noticed the tenacles going back into the suit as Ultimate seemed to gain back his senses. However, he began to fall over, Yang quickly ran over and caught Ultimate and dragged him to the wall and she sat him down.

Ultimate grabbed his head. "I…what… Gwe—" he then groaned as he almost shot up but he was still hurt as slowly say down to the ground.

"I would suggest deep breaths."

Yang sighed. "I thought that was you," she muttered. "Lovely timing, by the way, Webs."

"Your thanks, are apricated, Ms. Xio-Long" Madam Web said with her voice lacing with sarcasm.

"The suit," Ultimate started the thought still a little shaky. "You said your powers… would keep this stupid thing from overwhelming me… I was COMPLETELY overwhelmed."

"The effect you experienced is called Venom Rage."

"Venom Rage?" the two puny heroes asked confused.

"I cannot conceal all of the black suit's effects without making the symbiote basic melting goo."

Yang shivered and looked like disgust before gagging.

Ultimate scoffed. "How do you think it feels wearing it… actually smooth but still icky."

"The suit will still have minor increases in emotions. The first venom rage would come from uncontrolled emotion in order to activate it. However, anytime after it can be activated by the gathered energy-"

"From acts, he takes and makes," Yang finished. "It's like my semblance."

"Semblance."

"Semblance, my power that comes from my aura."

Ultimate groaned annoyed. "Ladies, explaining is an option."

"Quiet/Quiet!"

Ultimate stated. If there was one thing, he knew more than being a superhero was: NEVER mess with angry women ESPECIALLY ones with superpowers.

"Listen to me, both of you," Madam Web said sternly. "Electro's powers or more than plentiful with the fragment. You must conserve your own energy to win."

Ultimate just gave a weary thumbs up. "Great," he responded weakly. He then suddenly felt a slap on the cheek. "Hey!"

There he saw Yang's smirk. "Energized yet?"

Ultimate felt himself chuckle and Yang soon joined him, and it soon turned into howling laughter. As it died down, "Oh… God… that felt—"

"Good?"

"Well, a bit stupid."

"Stupidly good."

Ultimate chuckled. "Okay, stupidly good." Ultimate stood up and did a small stretch. "She wasn't kidding about heightened emotion."

Yang placed her hands on her hip. "Why do you think I hit you?"

"You like giving me pain."

"Yes," Yang teased. "But though I am not the queen of controlling emotional outburst… I am a big sister and keep other people from going crazy and protecting."

Ultimate felt himself smile. "Then, I'm glad I got you."

Yang chuckled. "Peter?"

"Yeah?" Yang just continued to chuckle. "Hey, I like the name! You got to tell your real name. Only fair."

"Yang."

Ultimate snorted a laugh. "Seriously." Yang folded her arms. "Okay, need a superhero name?"

Now, it was Yang's turn to snort. "I'm from another dimension."

"… I 've got dimension hunting villains."

Yang was silently then clapped her hand together. "Fair, but we gotta charge."

"Again, I am loving this."

Yang smiled. Ultimate stared at her smile… she had a beautiful smile.

Yang flipped her hair and then walked to the exit to the next tunnel. "Come on bug boy."

Ultimate snapped out of it from a minute the girl, he cared about even after death… "What did you call me?" he muttered.

"Well, web-head," Yang said. "You coming?"

Ultimate shook his head and then followed her. He had to relax… it wouldn't be the same… he wouldn't let it.

A/N: I'M BACK BABY! Yes, I know a long time... Really long BUT I am back and will do my best to post better. Until then BYE-NEE!
