Hello all!
Got two big announcements.
First of all, Thank you all for enjoying the "Let it all out" oneshot, or if you don't know what I posted, it's a MHAxSkyrim plot. That being said, after much enjoyment and demands for more, I am happy to announce that the story will continue and will become a new long story :) so look forward to that!
That leads to the second announcement. I have decided to 'end' Izuku Midoriya: The Green Gaul.
Now, I bet your wondering why I am doing this. Frankly, while I did enjoy writing the story, I was getting burnt out on the idea. This doesn't mean I am stopping the story, but merely saying it's the end of 'this book'.
That's right, just like the many Asterix books I based the story on, this was merely the first "book", where I can establish the lore and get some of the big arcs finished before starting up the next ones, like Internships, Stain, and Eri! So I'm going to rename the original story and then put it into complete status.
When will the next book come out? No idea yet, but it allows me to plan stuff out.
Aside from that, enjoy this latest chapter fo Witness!

Chapter 9
CP7 - "More Questions than Answers"
Izuku was hiding his face within his hands, trying his best not to reveal just how red it was because of the current conversation, but also the fact that Mina and Toru were going crazy and trying to convince him to wear some cat ears and a tail once they got back to the dorms. Tenya, Momo, and Kirishima were doing their best to try to calm the two girls down.
It didn't help Izuku as he swore he overheard the vice president of their class trying to figure out the measures for his head.
Thankfully, the doors at the back of the theater opened to reveal the robed figure of Grim walking in. Surprisingly, with no one behind him, Grim stopped just in front of the opened doors, "Alright! So, as I mentioned before, we have two viewers joining us."
"They have both watched up to the point you're currently at, so there is no need for them to recap anything for them." The weaver crossed his arms and stepped aside to let the first person walk in, which immediately caught everyone off guard to see Ms. Midoriya slowly move into the room.
"M-MOM?!"
As soon as the mother heard her son's voice, the two were staring at one another in shock and awe, and in the back of Grim's mind, he was glad he made everything waterproof because he could see the buildup of tears beginning to form from Inko's eyes.
"Izuku!" Inko cried out as she suddenly sped towards Izuku, hugging him tightly while the 'dams' burst and began to comically flood the room, making some of the students step back so they wouldn't get soaked by the mother's waterfall of tears.
Izuku, sadly, did not have that luxury, but he hugged his mother just as tightly regardless of how soaked he was getting and tried to calm her down to try to limit the flood damage. Everyone around them could only watch and smile at seeing the small family reunited, with some of the girls giggling gently at the scene and realizing just how similar their on-screen appearances were to the real deal.
"I-I'm so sorry, sweety!" Inko sniffled as she looked at her son, "I wish I knew how bad it was! I should have-"
"Mom…" Izuku softly spoke, hugging her once again and just as tightly as before, "It's in the past now, and I'm sorry I didn't tell you everything, like my quirk…"
"I understand why you couldn't, Izuku… admittedly, it's still confusing to me how you got such a thing in the first place. A-And I know that sometimes you can't tell me things because they are tied to your work as a hero… but please, promise me that you'll at least keep me in the loop as much as you can with what you can." Inko sniffled gently, looking up into her son's slightly confused look on his face, even tilting his head to emphasize that point.
"Um… okay, I will do my best, but what do you-"
"I-I know about what you did during the Yakuza raid…" Inko interrupted her son, the grip on his shirt tightening from the hug as Izuku's eyes went wide in shock as she continued, "I was told how you fought their leader, that literal monster of a person, all to save a little girl."
"Mom, I-"
"Sweety, I'm proud of what you did, b-but like I said before you moved into the dorms, I can't help but be scared for you…" His mother continued and interrupted him once again, "I know I can't stop you from being who you are; lord knows I doubt anyone could, but you know me, even if you are the number one hero someday, you'll still be my little hero who used to run around in that-"
"Mom!" Now it was Izuku's turn to interrupt his mother, his cheeks ablaze once again as he could hear the snickers coming from his classmates. Inko now looked at her son with confusion for a moment, even though Izuku felt that she knew exactly what she was doing.
The general mood took a turn, however, as Inko let go of her son and looked towards Toshinori, her eyes glazed over, and the rather dreadful aura that engulfed her whole being could be felt by everyone as the former number one hero was looking like he was about to bolt, "You and I will have a long conversation about all of this once we return to our home, Mr. Yagi."
"Y-Yes Ma'am…"
Grim cleared his throat to get everyone's attention away from the future homicide, "Alright, before we all have front-row seats to see All Might get murdered by his successor's mother… I have one more person to introduce."
"A small warning, however, is that because of their quirk, this person's life up until now has been very rough. Basically, they were abused for something out of their control and were forced to wear a mask of 'normalcy' for years as their body ached in pain for what their quirk demanded of them, which eventually made them do something… well… not very good, let's just say." The robed figure said as he once again moved away from the door, though everyone's curiosity peaked as to who this person was.
"Any sort of quirk-induced psychosis has been abated for now, so long as they keep getting what they need, and their desire to maim and harm also has subsided for the most part." Grim shrugged as he could see the worry starting to grow on the students' faces, with the teachers now looking a little more anxious than before and Inko now just looking more confused, "So, while I can't tell you not to be a little cautious around them, given some of your history with this person, just be mindful and open-minded-"
"HI IZUKU!" Himiko chirped from right behind Izuku, who yelped in fright and whirled around to see the very recognizable blonde villainess with a smile wide and bright.
"H-HIMIKO TOGA?!"
"Yay, you remembered me!" She squealed in delight as she jumped in joy before latching onto the boy in a hug, who grew flustered from the sudden invasion of his space, while the rest of the class suddenly readied themselves to fight, with Tsuyu and Ochako already on the move to try and separate the pair, while Aizawa had launched his capture scarf towards them as well.
However, the two students and the scarf end were suddenly stopped by an invisible barrier around both Izuku and Himiko, "Oi! What did I just say?" Grim shouted, the glowing of his bright blue eyes radiating from within the darkness of his hood, making everyone freeze on the spot. The robed figure sighed heavily, "Look, I get it. I would be cautious as well; however, she was the first person I brought to the theater, even before you showed up here, Izuku, and I have been helping her." Grim looked towards the green-haired student, who looked shocked at the admission, before looking at Himiko, who smiled brightly at him.
"Mhmm! Mr. Grimmy has been giving me so much delicious blood! See?" The blonde reached into the pocket of her cardigan to show Izuku the literal green juice box, and what further shocked the boy was a cartoony version of his face to advertise that it was 'cinnamon flavored'.
The wide-eyed look of betrayal that appeared on his face when he looked back to Grim nearly sent the robed figure into hysterics, but he controlled his outburst before Inko slowly walked up to her son and the blonde, "Sweety? How do you know this girl?"
The room suddenly got silent, with a bead of sweat not only running down Izuku's head from the question, but Himiko's smile suddenly faded, looking a little sheepish if not worried when it came to all the harm she had caused to the class while in the league of villains, especially towards three particular students. However, it was Grim who caught the mother's attention with a clearing of his throat, "Not going to sugarcoat this for you, Ms. Midoriya, but Himiko Toga was a villain prior to all of this."
Inko's head whipped suddenly towards the blonde, who winced from the scared look now on her former viewing partner, but thankfully, Grim came to her rescue once again as he continued, "But as I said, what she's done was due to psychosis thanks to her quirk, and it's needs. I knew full well she would be fine with you when I had both her and Ms. Midoriya watching from the balcony together."
"You did what?!" Izuku suddenly shouted, looking shocked. His eyes moved between his mother and Himiko, who was blushing and looking away. Inko simply continued to stare at the young blonde woman, but she did have a feeling that something was off during her time watching the odd movie with Himiko. All in all, she had been a pure delight to be with during said time.
Taking a small but deep breath, Inko walked up to Himiko, staring at the 'villain' before her. She did so with an intense look in her eyes. Everyone was silent as the mother of their classmate turned towards them, "I don't know what she has done, but it is as our host has said… Himiko Toga has been nothing but a pure delight to be with while watching my son's adventures on screen." Inko looked back to Himiko, smiling gently at her before looking back and giving off a look that both Toshinori and Izuku knew quite well, "I trust her, and with whatever help she is getting here, she won't cause any trouble… so please." The sudden bow before all the students and teachers caught everyone on guard; even Himiko looked stunned, and tears were beginning to form at the corner of her eyes, "Please don't judge her based upon her previous actions and let her continue to watch and heal."
"Mom…" Izuku spoke as he watched his mother defend the 'former' villain beside her; he shifted his gaze to see the also perplexed looks on his friends and classmates. Then Izuku looked towards Himiko and could see an all too familiar look on the young woman, one pleading to be accepted… and most important of all.
The look of someone who needed help.
Izuku was the first to make a move, still a little nervous, given his past with Himiko, but he pushed all of it aside as he walked up to the villain and offered his hand to her, "P-please be patient with us… and I-I hope you have been enjoying the show so far."
While Izuku should have expected the reaction, given how she was in the past, her smile returned in full force as she suddenly tackled the boy and hugged him, "IZUKU!"
The class was reeling from the sudden 'attack' on their green-haired classmate, who was blushing up a storm and stuttering more, though that started to change to his face turning blue from the force and tightness of the hug. As both Ochako and Tsuyu were trying to pull Himiko off of him, Aizawa walked up to Grim and tapped his shoulder, "Can you explain WHY she is here in the first place?"
"Oh right… I should mention that, huh?" Grim said as he snapped his fingers repeatedly to get everyone's attention; once that was done, he made his way towards Himiko and Izuku as he spoke, "Now, as your grumpy and sleep-deprived teacher has so kindly asked… Why is Himiko Toga here? Well, to put it simply, she has a big role to play within 'Bearer of the Light' down the line, with her first appearance being just after the sports festival, and while I'm going to let the rest of you ponder as to how she fits into this story…"
Grim's voice suddenly went quiet as he looked down at the two teenagers. Himiko was pulled off of Izuku, and both were now standing up once more as the robed figure suddenly placed his pointer fingers on both of their foreheads, their eyes glowing blue and froze for a moment as Grim chuckled, "I'll let these two know…"
It was over within a matter of seconds, and both teenagers shook their heads as if to focus back on their surroundings before looking at one another. The class watched as the blonde girl began to blush profusely, even giving Izuku a run for his money while she began to smile once more, showing off her fangs a little bit and giggling while Izuku looked like he had seen a ghost; his complexion pale and his eyes as wide as dinner plates, oddly moving his gaze towards the vampire girl's stomach for a brief moment before looking back towards her, as expected when finding out what the future held between himself and the former villainess, Izuku did the one thing he was really good at.
He fainted.
It had taken an extra twenty minutes or so for Izuku to wake up from his fainting spell, having already been seated in one of the theater chairs with Ochako and Tsuyu on either side of him and Himiko pouting with puffed-up cheeks at the fact that both girls had taken up both spots. When the two locked eyes, Izuku saw Himiko's cheeks turn almost neon red, and her smile was just as bright while winking in his direction, which nearly drove him to faint once more.
While Izuku knew he had some time to process what Grim had basically revealed to both him and the former villainess, the successor to All Might also knew that he was on borrowed time, as he could imagine everyone's reactions once they learned in this alternative universe, both Himiko and himself would be in a relationship and at a point in the story, just having started being together when they would come across a significant hurdle.
Himiko Toga, in that universe, was pregnant with his child.
While Grim had basically forbidden the two to mention what they learned after he had woken up, Izuku knew he'd be in for one heck of a situation that he would need to try and keep in control.
Oh, who was he kidding? When was the last time Izuku had any control in his life?
Sighing softly to himself, Izuku got comfortable in his seat as did everyone else, with his mother now sitting with the teachers and weaver while it looked like she was admonishing Toshinori.
If someone had told Izuku he would be feeling great after the entrance exam, it would be a lie.
A very blatant lie, and he would kindly correct them in their error.
'Already to a good start…' Izuku sighed to himself in his mind, already feeling a headache coming on as he had a feeling where his onscreen counterpart had ended up.
A heavy groan escaped his lips as he brought his hand up to his forehead, fingers tangling into his green curls before huffing gently and fighting off his still throbbing head. Opening his eyes, his vision filled with the beige-white colored ceiling he was somewhat familiar with. Turning his head to his right, he noticed he was currently lying on a medical stretcher. Izuku turned his head back to look straight up; a sigh escaped his lips as he thought,
"So glad I didn't take that bet…" Kaminari spoke aloud as those around him were giving the blond boy a quizzical look.
"What bet?" Sero asked him.
"Oh, it was a bet to see where Midoriya would end up after the entrance exam." Mineta spoke up and shrugged his shoulders, "I told you he'd end up there, Kaminari! Midoriya always ends up in the infirmary."
'Great, wound up in the infirmary again… Recovery Girl is going to kill me.'
"You're lucky all you have is just a headache after the stunt you pulled, you nincompoop!" Recovery girl exclaimed loudly, causing Izuku to flinch and rub his still sore head. Before he could ask how she heard his thoughts, the short elderly woman huffed and walked over to the side of his bed, "You muttered it."
"Ah… o-oops… so what h-happened after I passed out? Are the others that were with me ok?" Izuku had begun to stammer out; Recovery Girl stared at him for a few moments before shaking her head and huffing once again.
"Hey…" Sato said as he squinted up at the screen, "Is it just me, or does that Recovery Girl look a little different from the one back home?"
"Now that you mention it, there are subtle differences." Tokoyami said with Dark Shadow hanging off of his shoulder, "She seems to be shorter in stature, more so than Mineta even."
"Hey!" The miniature hero student exclaimed with indignation, "I'm not that short!"
"Dude, you are short…" Both Kaminari and Sero said in unison, causing Mineta to point and cry at his so-called friends.
"TRAITORS!"
"While thinking of others before yourself is heroic, you need to MAKE SURE YOU are ok first, young man." She hissed and poked her cane end into his chest a few times as if trying to drill it into him. He nervously chuckled before she climbed up the small step ladder beside his bed.
"Agreed." Everyone in Class 1-A, from the students to the teachers, even his mother, had said with some exasperation, which totally cut Izuku off guard, and the look on his face showed concern as to why everyone thought like that. Indeed, he was doing the right thing when looking out for others before himself?
"As for your questions, the other applicants were fine. The blonde-haired boy was suffering from some mild indigestion. But, your healing arts, with your "gunbreaker kit" as you call it, are negligible at best… I will not fault you for using it initially on the boy in the alley, but keep in mind that its best use is to give someone a 'pick me up' so they can escape, not follow your idiocy into danger." Recovery Girl frowned at Izuku, who looked down to his lap and gently nodded.
"Y-yes, ma'am..."
"But, I would vouch for my onscreen self that your aid would be appreciated, Monsieur Midoirya!" Aoyama said from his seat, awkwardly posing, which made Izuku chuckle slightly and nod his head in acceptance.
"The other boy suffered no injuries, though he was exhausted from all the running he did during the earlier part of the exam and the fight, which was easily solved with some of my gummies."
"That's good."
"And as for the girl, your decision to use your 'Clemency' was indeed correct, though she did have some discomfort still when I was able to get to her, she assured me that it was because of the battle with the zero-pointer, but before that, she was 'feelin' fine.'" The elderly hero emphasized the verbiage with air quotes and a rather good impersonation of the accent the brunette had used, which gave Izuku another weak chuckle; she smiled at him for a moment before lessening it to a more relaxed look, "As to what happened while you were knocked out, the dean had the cleanup crew gather the pieces of the rogue robot and is now with Power Loader to figure out what happened."
Ochako blushed and held her hands against her face in embarrassment from the fact that her accent had been outed; she had worked hard to suppress it ever since she applied to the famous hero school. She worried that people would have treated her as a 'country bumpkin', and now that her secret was out, she only dreaded what her classmates would think.
Especially when it came to a certain green-haired man.
"Oh my god! That is so cute!" Ochako heard Mina exclaim as she suddenly felt the hands of the pink woman on her shoulders, "I wanna hear it!"
"Mina, you shouldn't pressure Ochako if she doesn't want to talk like that, kero," Tsuyu spoke up and looked towards Mina with a hard stare towards her classmate, which made Mina cringe and back off. The frog-like woman leaned forward to turn her gaze toward her best friend, "Besides, none of us would make fun of your accent; it just makes you that more special, kero."
"S-She's right," Izuku spoke up, turning towards Ochako now and gaining both her and Tsuyu's attention, "I-I mean, you all put up with my muttering… even if it is a little creepy."
"It was at the beginning of the year, kero." Tsuyu bluntly stated her finger on her chin, "But considering it's how you process information at the pace you do, it's not creepy anymore. Unlike my ribbit, which happens a lot, kero."
"But those are cute/adorable!" Both Izuku and Ochako spoke up before both of them froze at what they had admitted, causing a few members of their class to wolf whistle at the trio, who were now silent with heavy blushes on their cheeks.
Izuku nodded gently, rubbing his chin in deep thought, and began to mutter up a storm, though this time Recovery Girl was not having it, smacking him lightly on the head with her cane to get to stop, "I'm not done yet, you dummy... "
Rubbing his head, Izuku looked at her and softly said 'Sorry' to the older woman.
"She seems to really like hitting my son…" Inko said with a bit of irritation in her voice, frowning slightly up at the on-screen version of Recovery Girl, though the sigh coming from the robed man who had brought them all here had caught her attention.
"Truthfully, this version of her is a little more 'aggressive' than normal; however, there are reasons for that, and they will come up in the story." Grim looked towards Inko, "Mostly, she does it to try and remind those close to her to stop doing stupid things…. Isn't that right, All Might?"
The former number one hero grumbled a little, idly rubbing one of his shin bones from where the 'backbone of UA' would often target with her cane.
"Now, as to what happened to you." she started climbing down the step ladder to go over to her desk, Izuku watching her from his bed, "With what Nezu had explained to me of your… powers is that you unlocked one that uses that 'mana' as you call it, within your body to fire willy-nilly at whatever you want, and to follow up with those fancy strikes with that rapier."
"Y-yeah… The feeling of sending off that 'jolt' and 'verthunder' felt kinda nice, to be honest." Izuku chuckled gently, rubbing the back of his head again, but then suddenly stopped when he saw the cold stare of Recovery Girl looking directly at him.
"Something feels off…" Kyoka said with a raised eyebrow, "And I'm not talking about how Green felt good after casting those spells."
"Yes… Recovery Girl's reaction to his saying that does seem a little out of place." Momo added while rubbing her chin.
"It's almost like she's dreading something…" Toru squeaked from behind the pair in her seat.
The silence in the room was heavy as she kept staring at him until she finally spoke again, turning her eyes away, "...Regardless, you passed out because you essentially "ran out" of mana. While your healing abilities also use up such a resource, the new skills you gained as that... red magician?" She looked back to Izuku, who was now thinking for a moment before looking suddenly up.
"Red Mage, quick and easy to remember."
"And honestly, sounds cooler," Sero spoke up with his arms crossed over his chest.
"Fine, the abilities you gained as a Red Mage eat up mana far more than the other two kits. So, as your physician-"
"B… but you're the school's leading medical personnel."
"AS your physician," Recovery girl interrupted, glaring at the boy who cowered and nodded rapidly, "Until the school year begins, you are not to do any training, not until we can get you here and I can keep you within eyesight, so you don't pull off something boneheaded again." Recovery Girl pointed her cane at him in a threatening manner, which caused the teenager to raise his hands in defense and nod rapidly in agreement.
"Given that we know that Midoriya is Nezu's personal student in this universe, it would make sense why she is so familiar with him." Todoroki said while rubbing his chin, "Though does she actually have the credentials to be his physician?"
"To quote a famous saying in my world, "Never argue with the White Mage." Todoroki." Grim said aloud that caught most of the crowd's attention, "The last person you want to piss off is the one that is responsible for keeping you in the fight."
"Also, you can wait to show your friends your new abilities when and if they get into this school as well; I do not want you to "manifest" at all. Do I make myself clear?" The elderly hero frowned once again as Izuku slowly nodded. A few moments of silence passed before she turned around to go through her desk drawers, "Now, I've already called your mother while you were resting, and one of Nezu's drivers will take you home. Your belongings are already there waiting for you."
Izuku swung his legs off the side of the bed as he grunted out a 'yes' to her. He placed his sneakers on the ground and slowly pushed himself off the bed, adjusting himself to let the feeling of weight placed on his feet and legs return.
How long was he out for?
"Probably a few hours, given um… previous experiences…" Izuku chuckled lightly, making those who were not aware of his many previous experiences, mainly Inko and Toga, look wide-eyed and in shock, but then both calmed down as he continued to speak, "Thankfully, that's few and far between now, since I hardly break my body anymore."
As his body was getting readjusted, his legs prickling him from waking up, another thought came to his mind: "Oh, Recovery Girl?"
"Hmm?"
"There was one ability I seemed to have learned with the new kit, something called 'Verraise,' I didn't get a chance to look too deeply into-" *CRASH*
Izuku's head quickly turned to see Recovery Girl staring straight at him, but the look she was giving him was not of anger. No, the look was something akin to fear or disturbed before it shifted into something cold.
It wasn't only the on-screen version of Midoriya that was shocked at the reaction from the small elder; everyone in the theater was also looking on in worry. Even the teachers were taken aback by the ordinarily calm woman's reaction; whatever this "Verraise" was, it was either some kind of ungodly power or something the boy should never use.
Given the track record when comparing both the Izuku on and off the screen, it was easy to tell that it was going to happen regardless.
The medical equipment she had been carrying and dropped was quickly forgotten as she stormed over to him. He could feel the cold stare she was giving him deep into his soul as if he said something blasphemous. She stopped a foot away from him, took a deep breath, and began to speak in a tone of voice similar to the look she was giving him.
"That spell is never to be used or mentioned unless Nezu or I are present and ONLY between the three of us. This is your only warning. Now, go home, Midoriya. Your mother sounded worried."
"Geez, harsh much?" Mina said with a frown, crossing her arms over her chest, "How bad can that spell be?"
Midoriya didn't even say anything as he made a mad dash out of the infirmary, skidding out as he pushed past the door. After a few moments, when she could tell that she was indeed by herself, Recovery Girl sighed gently, rubbing the bridge of her nose before heading back to her desk.
"...That's all we need now is for the boy to learn he can bring people back from the dead. I'll let the furball know about this later, but right now, I really need a slice of Archon Loaf."
"Oh…" Was all Mina said, her eyes wide in shock at what the tiny woman on-screen had just revealed; everyone else was looking just as in shock, especially Izuku, who had dropped the pen he was holding from just how crazy these powers were; he barely noticed Tsuyu catching the writing utensil before it landed on the ground with her tongue and placed it back into his hand once again, where that seemed to trigger the boy's instincts just to dissect everything and anything about a quirk.
Even if said 'quirk' wasn't actually one.
This, however, also brought the negatives to life for whatever good and positive things being able to resurrect the dead has. So far, he and his classmates had yet to see any real backlash from his counterpart over using the powers given to him, outside of the very recent fainting spell from his newly acquired 'Red Mage' abilities.
While he didn't fully understand the process of how he could resurrect someone, there had to be downsides to using just a powerful ability, and Izuku didn't have all the information he needed to make that decision. In the end, Izuku would just have to wait and watch the show before him and just hope that he didn't have to use 'Verraise' on any of his friends and loved ones.
The ride home from UA was quiet, which was the norm. Often, Izuku didn't mind it, especially as he was going over what had just happened with Recovery Girl.
Whenever they would talk about his abilities, she would often seem aloof; even when he told her of his healing capabilities, she seemed to shrug and explain that while healing quirks were rare, a good bunch of them were pretty flashy.
But the first tip-off that something wasn't right during the previous conversation was when he described the feeling of using the two spells as pleasurable. The look Recovery Girl gave him was something Izuku thought he would never feel coming off of her. It was the coldness that got to him mostly, but there was recognition in her stare and mannerisms as if she had heard of this previously.
"That's a red flag…" Kaminari huffed gently, leaning his head on the backrest of the chair in front of him, which was vacant currently, "I swore I could feel the room here drop in temperature from the look she gave Midoriya."
The second instance in which he felt something was wrong was the mention of 'Verraise.' Recovery Girl's reaction was, again, totally out of character for her, but what she basically commanded him to do and how she said it threw him for a loop. Not once since they had first met did she ever call his abilities a "spell," and the way she spoke seemed like it was something dire. The real question was, how much more did she know, and how?
"I guess that would make it a crimson flag then because she obviously knows more than she is letting on," Sero said from beside Kaminari, reclining back in his seat.
He knew Nezu would have given Recovery Girl some information regarding his 'blessing.' Hopefully, he tried to play it off as a very rare quirk. In reality, who would believe that somewhere out in some divine realm, there existed a giant 'mother crystal' that blesses certain people to be able to combat some great evil? And said crystal deemed him, a worthless Deku, such a gift.
While no one had said anything, a few gazes had looked towards their Izuku, still scribbling away in his notebook about the mysterious 'Verraise', and hadn't noticed their looks of worry. Considering how different things were in this alternative universe they were watching; they were curious if their Midoriya felt this way at times, or even still, given that he had taken the word as his hero name, though with a completely different meaning behind it.
The ones with the most concern were, of course, his best friends and those now learning more about him.
He still didn't know the reasons behind that, but trying to figure out the thought process of a "goddess" was like figuring out what the Space Hero Thirteen looked like under their hero suit. Any more thoughts on the matter or Recovery Girl's sudden change of demeanor were halted when the car finally stopped.
With his school bag hanging over his shoulder, Izuku began to ascend the stairs to the little apartment he and his mother shared. Soon, it would just be her, considering the university had a dorm system he would be using for the next few years. Izuku knew he was getting in as long as he tried hard enough, but even if he didn't quite make it, there was no doubt Nezu would pull something, which was something Izuku wasn't exactly happy about.
"I can truthfully say I would never "pull something" to put one student ahead of another." Nezu suddenly spoke up, catching everyone's attention, even Izuku's, as the principal silently sipped his tea, "But this Nezu has his reasons, and quite possibly may have been ordered to by the Moogles or Hydaelyn herself…"
"But you will change a test and make it harder?" Mina spoke up, remembering what the dean had pulled during the entrance exam, but the only response the pink-skinned woman got was the maddening cackle from the principal that sent shivers up the spine of all the students.
Pushing open the apartment door, he kicked off his red shoes lightly to the side and called out, 'I'm home.' The smell of Katsudon filling his nostrils brought a soft smile to his lips; it was rare for his mom to cook for him, given her usual working hours. But for the past week, she had been home during the day, and that allowed him a little more freedom to sleep in just a wee bit more.
As he headed into the living room to get to the kitchen/dining area, he spotted his mother sitting on the couch with a few boxes around her, one of which was opened. She was placing something wrapped in newspaper inside of it. He raised an eyebrow at this and walked closer to her, "Mom?"
Inko turned her head to look up at her son, her eyes wide. Izuku could see they were slightly red and puffy, as if she had been crying for a while, "O-Oh Izuku sweety, welcome home!" She smiled brightly at him, wiping her eyes with her sleeve as if to hide any tears, "Dinner is ready and on the table… b-but, I need to speak with you about something important first. Can you sit with me, please?"
Everyone seemed to sit up a little more in curiosity about what was about to happen, given they were watching the older Midoriya clearly packing up some items with delicate care into boxes, though the two people clearly invested at this moment were Inko and Izuku themselves.
Izuku slowly nodded and sat beside his mother, who in turn had shifted around to look at him, her hands on her lap as she looked down for a few moments, "Sweety, I just want you to listen to what I need to say first and don't respond unless I ask you something, and don't interrupt... alright?" Inko asked in a soft tone of voice as she looked up to stare into the emerald eyes of her son, who was staring back into his mother's own similarly colored eyes. He idly nodded, with Inko nodding back, and took a deep but relaxing breath.
"That's never a good sign…" Toru said gently, looking around her and fidgeting with her hands.
"So, as you know, I've been home a lot more recently… and there is a reason for that. As of two weeks ago, I quit my job at the hospital." Inko began to speak, watching her son's reaction, and immediately started to see his mind asking a billion questions a minute.
"This was… not an easy decision, to be honest, I almost didn't quit my job, but the offer I got was JUST too good, Izuku! I mean… Yes, I did enjoy time working at the hospital, but you know how little it left me with a home life."
"It was rare to see you up before two p.m. some days, I will admit…" Izuku smirked at his mother, who pouted at him.
"Oh my gosh!" Mina said in a very overdramatic tone and looked at Izuku, "Midori! How could you tease your mom? Such a problem child." The shit-eating grin on Mina's lips, as well as chuckles coming from around her while she pointed at Izuku with such a clearly fake and jokingly made accusation, though the green-haired boy was trying to stutter out how he wasn't a 'problem child'.
Aizawa in the back just huffed and kept his mouth shut, given he really didn't want to point out how true Ashido's statement was.
"It's not nice to tease your mother, Izuku… anyway, this new job will be something exciting for me, and well…" Inko started to fidget a little now, looking away from her son as Izuku tilted his head, "The.. first part of the job is to be Recovery Girl's assistant, and from what Dean Nezu had explained, her possible successor? Though I d-don't know how that would work, given my quirk isn't a healing one."
"I.. have a question." Inko spoke up and turned towards Grim, "How come I am a nurse in this universe?" The older Midoriya shifted slightly in her seat, embarrassed, "I-I am only a housewife."
"Truth be told, outside of certain moments where you are with Izuku, not much is revealed as to what you do for a living, Ms. Midoriya." Grim said while looking at the middle-aged woman, "Weavers, such as myself, normally do make you a nurse most of the time."
"O-oh? H-How come?"
"Your general demeanor, as well as your quirk truthfully." Grim shrugged while looking up at the screen, "You can pull small objects towards you, and given some time training, you know how powerful that is in the medical field? Or heck, an operation?"
"But I need to see what I need to bring close to me with my quirk," Inko said with a raised eyebrow, getting a little more curious as to how her not-so-strong telekinetic powers could be used in such an environment.
"True, but do you have to look at it directly? Or do you just know where it generally is? With the training of a nurse and how to properly read X-rays, you could simply pull bullets out of wounds or any other objects out of people's bodies! Like I said, it's a powerful quirk."
Inko couldn't help but blush, fidgeting a little more in her seat from the compliments about her quirk. Grim, on the other hand, looked towards the screen once more but noticed how Izuku had been looking back to watch the conversation between himself and his mother, clearly thinking about something before mouthing out a 'Why didn't I think of that?'.
"Still a great nurse, the best one, in my opinion," Izuku said with a smile as Inko looked at him, lightning smacking his chest with a huff.
"You're just biased because I'm your mother!"
"Maybe, maybe not," Izuku smirked at her again, which earned him another light smack, which caused him to chuckle. Inko then began to giggle herself, enjoying the little back and forth with her son, something they hadn't done in quite some time due to her old job and his training.
"So, while I'm ecstatic that you are going to be working at UA, I don't see how this ties into packing things into boxes."
Inko took a deep breath in, steeling herself for what came next; she didn't know how Izuku would take this next bit of information. Would he be happy? Would he be upset? Truthfully, that's what worried her the most, and with an exhale, she answered her son's curiosity, "Well, the assistant job is part-time for now, just for the first couple of semesters… my main duties would be in making sure the new students don't trash the dorms they are in." Inko stood up and held her arms out in a weak attempt to be grandiose, "You're looking at Class 1-A's 'Dorm Mother'... Erm.. surprise!"
"HUH/WHAT?" Both Izuku and Inko shouted, the mother and son clearly in shock at the revelation that the Midoriya matriarch was to be the dorm manager or "mother" for the class. Izuku was a little embarrassed, not because of the fact his mother was going to be managing the Height Alliance dorms, but more for the fact that there would be pictures of him as a young child, such as the ones of him in that All Might onesie.
Lord, help him if any of his friends find those.
Izuku stared up at her, eyes wide in shock, before slowly standing up and keeping his eyes on her. Inko was about to say something before she was engulfed in a tight hug. The shorter woman was shocked at first but then slowly returned the hug, and after a few moments, they broke off, and Izuku was the first to speak, "Mom, that sounds awesome! Plus, we get to spend more time with one another!"
"Of course, sweety… but don't be just focusing on your old mother now! You will have a ton of people to make friends with!"
"R-right…" Izuku chuckled nervously, earning a non-threatening glare from his mother before he cleared his throat, "S-so your room at the dorms... Will it be around the same size as our apartment?"
"Actually, it's going to be a little bigger! From what the dean said, they had to remodel the entire first year's dormitories due to some previous students having destroyed some of the dorms by accident with the previous Class 1-B, as well as something happening with the previous Class 1-A, though Nezu didn't quite mention what though…"
"Good to see there is some consistency between this timeline and ours," Aiwawa said with a smirk under his scarf, which caused many of his students to shiver in fright from the way he spoke.
"Huh, so when are you moving into the dorms?"
"Well, sweety… We are moving in two days. We both know you are getting into UA.," she beamed at him as he blushed gently, "and even if somehow you fell through the cracks, Nezu would pull some strings."
"You know, I thought the same thing."
"Well, what do you expect? You HAD to get your smarts from somewhere… and bless your father while you have his dashing looks; he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed." Inko gave a soft sigh and a smile as she remembered her husband again, knowing that he would've been proud of their son. But now was not the time for reminiscing, as Inko started to walk towards the dining area, "Now, enough chit-chat! Our dinner is getting colder, and we have a lot of packing to do!"
Izuku smirked at this and followed after her. She was right, of course; they had a lot of packing to do. As he began to dig into his still-warm Katsudon, his previous worries and thoughts seemed to fade away as he enjoyed the rest of his evening with his mother.
"I know we just ate…but that Katsudon looks really good," Sato spoke up suddenly, with those around him nodding their heads in agreement.
"I'm a little shocked the dorm system is already set up, considering it took two villain attacks to get them here." Kyoka said while spinning an ear jack around her finger, her gaze still up at the screen.
"Truthfully, given that UA is a university in this universe, it would make sense for them to have student housing already prepared." Momo spoke up and looked towards her best friend, "Plus, it would allow us more independence outside of class time and to build up bonds with one another."
"Like a certain green-haired someone who shall remain nameless?" Mina suddenly interrupted the pair as she turned around with that shit-eating grin on her lips, making Momo blush and look away. Kyoka, squinting at the pink-skinned woman, made Mina quickly duck back behind her seat.
Izuku gazed up at UA's large building once again, taking in its sheer size in awe once again. It was now Friday, and his week had been hectic, including moving into the dorms on Wednesday and the decoration/setup of his room as well as his mother's living space.
To say it was "slightly bigger" than their old apartment was an exaggeration. It was twice as large, and there was so much room still left over! It could have been made for a small family dwelling rather than a single-person abode. But Izuku knew it was perfect for his mother and something she deserved.
"Goodness, I don't think I'd have enough furnishings even to decorate half of that room." Inko spoke up, watching the screen and her mind buzzing with the possibilities and combinations as to where to place the furniture; granted, it was just a fantasy, given that she doubted the dorms were that big to allow such a thing, and that she wasn't staying at UA.
As he began to climb up the stairs and walk down the halls, his thoughts went to his friends, with whom he had minimal contact during the week because of how busy he was. He did respond to them as much as he could. However, his attention was focused on other things; what he did learn, though, was that Mina and Kyoka had passed the entrance exam and placed well within the top thirty-six. Mina was ranked fifteenth, and Kyoka was seventeenth.
"WOO! Go us!" Mina exclaimed as she turned around and raised her hand towards the punk rocker, who blushed and returned the gesture, though she was muttering her disapproval, "Plus, that placement is way better than what I got during the practical exam! How about you, Kyo?"
"A little higher, yeah… wonder if that means the tips their Midoriya gave them had helped." Kyoka said as both she and Mina looked towards Izuku at the front, trying to see if he could spot where his placement was on the list on the screen. Unbeknownst to the hero fanboy, many eyes were now on him, and all were thinking of perhaps seeking out his aid if what Mina had said was true.
He hadn't heard from the three other applicants who were with him since he was knocked out, and he wasn't left with any sort of contact info to reach them. However, he held in his belief that those three would make it in, especially given that when Izuku asked about the others, Nezu merely waved his little paw with a non-committal 'you shall see' as his only response.
Sometimes, he hated that little rat, bear, dog thing.
"S-Sir! I-I am sorry for-" Izuku suddenly shouted and turned towards the principal, who was chuckling and had a tiny paw raised to silence the oncoming apology.
"No worries, Mr. Midoriya; if we go by the timeline of our interactions with you being my student, I can imagine how frustrating I can be with all of my antics. Isn't that right, Aizawa? Yagi?"
The two teachers were silent, keeping their gazes up on the screen, and in unison spoke, with Nezu cackling at their response.
Eventually, Izuku was standing before the massive door to Class 1-A, his nervousness starting to get the better of him once again as he stared at it with his hand holding the handle. While he knew that UA would be much different than his schools in the past, especially now with his 'quirk.' There was, however, still that small part of his mind where his darker thoughts stewed in, the elements that would remind him that he was still a 'pathetic Deku' and that it was sheer luck that he had been blessed. And on the worst days, he would question the decision made by the supposed crystalline being.
Why did she choose me?
Am I worthy of being chosen?
"Of course you are!" Himiko suddenly chirped, causing the three other people sitting beside her to jump slightly since they had forgotten that the former villainess was beside them. Or that she was just that good at hiding her presence, which they all knew she was from their previous encounters with her, "I know for sure you are worthy, right Ochako?"
The brunette froze suddenly, not only from being called out by Himiko but also from the blonde using her first name, which she didn't like her doing, considering Himiko was always trying to stab her while shouting it. But the former league member did have a point, as Ochako looked towards Izuku with her ever-present blush, "S-She's right, Deku!"
"T-thanks Ochako… Toga-"
"Himiko!" The blonde said aloud with a pout and pointed at the stuttering boy, "Hi-mi-ko! Call me by my first name, Izuku-kins! Just like you do with Tsu and Ochako!"
Izuku's mouth was dry, looking nervous while slowly beginning to say Himiko's name, which caused the blonde to squeal in delight. However, on the other side of him, the ever-present blank stare from Tsu was watching the three people interact, and while she wasn't happy that the former villain was still calling her by her first name (since she only allowed her friends to do that) but Tsu also knew how hard it was for Izuku to even say her name at times, with how often she had to correct him.
Thankfully, as if a reminder of some of the good in his life, Izuku was knocked out of his dark thoughts when he felt an arm wrapped around his shoulders, a hand over his eyes, and the sudden but familiar weight on his back followed by a gentle voice whispering a 'guess who?' into his ear.
Izuku blushed a deep red and shivered at the sensory overload, plus the feeling of the 'mystery' person's "assets" against his back was not helping. After a few moments of his brain restarting, Izuku spoke, or more accurately, squeaked out a reply, "M-M-Mina?"
"Hey, Mina, gettin' pretty close to Midori there." Toru spoke up, nudging her best friend with her elbow as she then took notice of Mina just gazing up at the screen, a dusting of purple on her cheeks as Toru now shook the pink-skinned woman by her shoulder, "Mina?"
Jolting slightly from the shaking, Mina blinked and looked toward her visible friend, "Ah, sorry about that."
"It's fine," Toru asked with a tilt of her head, though she had a feeling what it was about. She decided to have some fun with it and spoke more quietly, "I'd probably be the same way seeing myself flirt that heavily with a boy."
"TORU!" Mina whispered-shrieked, pushing her friend away, who was giggling. Admittedly, while Mina already knew what was in store with not only herself but several of the other girls as well, it was still a little surreal and a little embarrassing to watch a version of herself actively flirt with one of her friends like that.
However, somewhere in the back of her mind, the 'alien' girl was wondering if she could get a reaction like that with her version of Midoriya.
"Oh, Poo, and here I thought I could make you so flustered that you'd lock up and not be able to answer me!" Mina pouted as she let go and took a step back, giving the still-blushing boy some space. Yet, her pout soon shifted into a smile at seeing his current state, "Well, I did turn you into a tomato, so mission accomplished!"
Izuku sputtered at that, hiding his face in his hands as he was trying to desperately calm himself down, "W-when was that an m-m-mission?!"
"I keep asking her that myself, but her only response is, "Because it's fun!" and sorry about that, Green. I would have tried to stop her from sneaking up on you, but you were just staring at the door and looked like you needed the shock," spoke Kyoka coming up towards the two, but her answer mostly made Izuku sputter more before slouching and sighing, giving up defending himself.
Kyoka frowned and jabbed him in the side lightly with her jack, causing him to straighten up and wince, "Oi! What did I say about slouching?"
Once again, Kyoka was frowning at how her counterpart was acting, still a little confused as to why she was so adamant about correcting the green-haired man's posture and even using her jacks to force him further to do so.
"S-sorry Kyoka…" replied Izuku, who was still blushing slightly. The purple-haired punk rocker sighed and moved past him, opening the door and walking into the classroom. Izuku watched her go in for a few moments before he felt two hands press against his shoulder blades. Turning his head, he looked to Mina, who was beaming her usual bubbly smile at him.
"C'mon Midori! Don't wanna be late on the first day, right?"
Izuku merely smiled at her and chuckled nervously before allowing himself to be pushed into the classroom. As he started to walk in on his own, he stopped a few feet from the door, allowing Mina to move past him, but she gave him a wink and bumped his shoulder. He watched her waltz over to an area of desks where he noticed Momo's familiar ponytail; she looked up from the book she had been reading when Mina made her presence known by hugging the young heiress in glee.
Seeing the familiar faces of most of his classmates, as well as hearing the shouts of 'There I am' or 'That's me at eighteen?' made Izuku smile to himself. While it had been an odd bunch of events that were vastly different from what he had gone through before attending UA, Izuku was just happy to see that while there were many changes, being in the same class with everyone, which he had grown stronger and closer with over the last year just made it better.
Momo was giggling at her friend's antics, returning the hug. Her attention was then brought to the front of the class, where she spotted Izuku. She gave him a gentle smile and wave, which he returned gently with his blush still present on his cheeks and a nervous smile.
"AH! If it isn't, Monsieur Midoriya! I knew moi would see you once again!" an accented voice loudly proclaimed, which got the attention of some of the other students already in the classroom. Izuku turned his head to see the familiar blonde from the entrance exam.
"Aoyama! I-I see you made it in as well, Congrats!"
"Seems fate could not separate our bright selves once more, mon ami!" Yuga said from his seat, smiling at Izuku, who nodded and returned the gesture.
Yuga posed 'elegantly' as he stood before Izuku, some of the onlookers snickering at the dazzling display, "Oui! As if UA would deny our sparkling selves to become heroes! Especially after our dazzling performance against that nasty zero-pointer robot!"
Izuku rubbed the back of his head, chuckling nervously, "I-I mean, yeah, it malfunctioned and would've gone after the other a-applicants when the alarm went off."
"Ah! But you, good monsieur, were the one to charge out with that brilliant sword and shield in hand and occupied the beast's attention. In contrast, moi, Monsieur Iida, and Mademoiselle Uraraka were slow in joining you to subdue it!"
Feeling all the eyes and attention of the classroom on him and the French boy now, Izuku rubbed the back of his head, "I-I … w-well, we were only able to do it with teamwork."
"There is no reason to be humble, Midoriya!" Tenya came walking speedily into the classroom, his arm waving up and down robotically, "While I will not diminish myself or the others of their involvement! You truly acted like a hero, and how you destroyed it was also a most excellent display of power!"
Izuku blushed more. From the corner of his eye, he could see the frowned stares being given to him by Mina and Kyoka, who obviously hadn't heard about him taking out a zero-pointer, nor the look of general confusion present on Momo due to her being a recommendation student.
"Midori! You didn't tell us?!" Mina suddenly exclaimed in mock frustration, making the green-haired boy jump from his seat, "So mean!"
"B-But he was busy a-and-" Izuku began to say before seeing the smile on Mina's lips, and he sighed heavily, "Y-You're just teasing me, aren't you?"
"Yep!" The girl replied with a pop to the 'p', giggling some more as Izuku huffed and blushed from overreacting once more to one of Ashido's jokes. It probably didn't help that he was still a little flustered from the prank her counterpart had pulled on his own.
His eyes focused back on the two boys in front of him, but before he could make a rebuttal of Tenya's claims, a soft, more feminine voice came from the doorway.
"Oh! It's Midoriya!"
The three boys looked towards the door and watched as Ochaco came rushing past the Yuga and Tenya before standing right up to Izuku, who was blushing again from how close she was, "I knew you'd make it in! Especially with how awesome you blew off that robot's head! It was like 'woosh,' 'zap,' 'pow'!" The excitable brunette spoke with accompanying hand gestures that almost rivaled Yuga's own.
"Kero, Ocha-chan… you're too close to him and making him uncomfortable." a raspy voice came from behind Ochako as she stepped aside and pouted at the owner of the voice.
"But Tsu! I told you what he did and how awesome it was!"
"Oh, it looks like we already met prior to the first day, kero." Tsuyu said as she leaned over to look at Ochako, "I wonder when that happened? Given how far your home is."
"Yeah, considering it was only a week between the exam and the first day of school." The auburn-haired girl said with a title of her head before looking back to the robed figure sitting with the teaching staff and Ms. Midoriya, "Mr. Grim, how-"
"Right after the exam, and kept texting throughout the week." Grim answered, shocking the students with his abrupt response, "What? It comes up pretty soon, and it's not that big of a spoiler."
"But getting in his face and causing him to turn into a tomato isn't helping matters, Kero." replied the now-visible girl. Izuku blinked as he looked upon the green-haired girl before him. Her wide eyes and seemingly emotionless face were the more predominant features of her looks. But, somehow, Izuku could tell there was a curiosity in her eyes, especially when she was staring back at him with a tilt of her head, her tongue sticking out slightly to the side. Was that a part of her quirk? What was more strange was the sense of warmth he felt throughout his body once again, but this time, the 'headache' that would typically accompany the blessing of Hydaelyn was significantly dulled and mute to a point he almost didn't feel it.
Izuku and Tsuyu slowly looked at one another, their eyes wide in shock from the way their on-screen selves were looking at one another, both with a dusting of pink on their cheeks as on the other side of the boy, Himiko was gasping with a bright smile on her lips, giggling quietly to herself and clearly enjoying what could be a blossoming start to something extraordinary. Even if the Himiko on screen was going to get pregnant with her and Izuku's child, the version of the vampire in the theater clearly didn't mind having more people to 'love'.
Ochako was a different story, however, as she clearly was staring at her best friends with what looked like a smile. However, the aura of competition that the gravity-defying girl was known for was now rearing its ugly head.
However, before anything else could happen or for the two green-haired students to properly introduce themselves, the door to the classroom slammed shut, and the gravelly voice that spoke from the individual who looked like a disheveled homeless man with long black hair, a scruffy 'five o'clock' shadow and ragged looking scarves that hung around his shoulders, "If you're here to socialize, you can leave and stop wasting my time."
As he spoke, everyone got quiet and rushed quickly to any open desks in the classroom. The homeless-looking man walked up to the teaching podium. He sighed heavily, "Twelve seconds to settle down; if you were out in the field, you'd already be dead."
"Excuse me." Tenya spoke with his hand raised in the air, looking towards Grim, "In this alternative universe, while my classmates and I have aged up slightly, does this apply to the adults as well?"
"Maybe a year or two? But it's hardly noticeable." The weaver said with a shrug.
His tired eyes looked over all of the students, squinting when he came across Midoriya, who flinched at the teacher's reaction, "I am Shouta Aizawa, and I am your homeroom teacher. Now," He reached into the podium and pulled out what looked like a gym uniform inside of a large plastic bag, "You will all grab one of these with your names on it and then head to Field Sigma for a Quirk assessment test. And no, we will not be going to orientation as it is a waste of time. You are here to be heroes, hopefully, and attending such frivolous things will not help you in the long run."
"I still wish you would attend them in the future, Aizawa." Nezu spoke up, looking towards his employee, "While you find them fruitless, we do have important topics that your class should be aware of."
"They have the information in their handbooks." The grumpy teacher said, before looking towards his diminutive boss, "Besides, you spend most of the time going on tangents or topics that aren't important for the curriculum, wasting everyone's time with anecdotes that put everyone to sleep."
"And some of my best material, sadly." The principal lamented with a fake sniff and wiping away an invisible tear.
He reached under again, pulling out the rest of the bagged uniforms, and dropped them onto the desk in front of the podium, startling the student currently occupied there, "You have fifteen minutes starting now to get to the changing rooms, get dressed, and meet me on the field. Now move."
Aizawa then left the room, heading to the field as the bewildered students snapped out of their shocked state and made their way to grab their gym uniforms. As Izuku was rummaging for his own and making sure he handed out the ones meant for his friends if he spotted them, he didn't notice two sets of eyes watching him.
The first was the heterochromatic eyes that belonged to one Shoto Todoroki, who had been idly listening to the dramatics of the blonde boy and brunette. From what he could gather, this 'Midoriya' would or could be an obstacle for him and someone to watch and learn about.
While he was Izuku's friend now, Shouto couldn't help but stare at his counterpart on screen, knowing full well what was running through his doppelganger's mind, considering he had the same thoughts himself. If only he could reach out and tell the clearly 'defiant' Todoroki to embrace his fire sooner, perhaps using the exact words his friend had given him.
The other set of eyes belonged to one Katsuki Bakugou, who glared in pure hatred at the green-haired boy. He hadn't seen much of him since that day that the nerd was called to the principal's office back in Aldera, but since then, his 'glorious' rise to be the number one hero had hit a few speed bumps.
One such bump in the road had him re-tested on most of his final year exams; he did as well as he did before, nearly acing them. But to have his intelligence questioned really pissed him off, and the excuses the staff at that shitty high school had given him was that there were "some irregularities" with his previous tests, whatever that meant. What really ticked him off was that he knew somehow "Deku" was involved in this.
Bakugou was the last one left in the classroom. As he got up and made his way to get his gym uniform, he snarled and made a personal promise that he would remind Deku exactly where he belonged.
At the bottom of his boot.
"Katsuki Bakugou." The venom dripped off of the name as everyone looked towards the owner of that voice, seeing a very angry-looking Inko Midoriya rise from her seat and glare daggers at the blonde teenager, who, for the first time since he came into the theater, looked deathly afraid.
Before the rightfully irate mother could dish out some justice for her son, a sleeved arm suddenly went in front of her path as the shorter woman looked up to the robed figure, "Mister Grim, please move out of my way."
"As much as I would love to see you tear him to pieces, we have a long viewing coming up, and we already have little time left before I send you all back. Plus, I'm sure you'd want Mitsuki with you when you talk to her son." Grim spoke with a stern tone of voice as if letting the Midoriya matriarch know she wouldn't get her way right now and that it was final. Quickly looking towards her son's tormentor and then towards Izuku, who had a pleading face for her to calm down, Inko huffed and went back into her seat.
Grim sighed as he looked towards everyone else, "Welp, time to get this crazy story truly started. Time for the Quirk Assessment Tests!"
