Commander Alexander Ramon Shepard of the Alliance military makes contact with a Prothean beacon while on a routine mission. This changes the fate of his entire life. In more ways than he will ever understand Rated T for violence, blood and swearing Pairings to be announced later.

Commander Shepard has lost his entire squad, and only he and Saren are the only survivors of a brutal fight with a group of Collectors. As humanity and other Council races develop along the path set by the Reapers, a different civilization is born.
