Naruto and mitsurugi were locked in a fierce duel amid the steady downpour in the factory district on the roof of a factory. The clanging of their blades echo across the industrial landscape, mixing with the pitter-patter of raindrops and the distant sounds of explosions and chaos. Naruto ducks and weaves with his blond hair plastered to his forehead, his movements fluid and precise as he avoids mitsurugi's conjured blades, despite the slippery surface beneath his feet. The swords cut through the rain, leaving trails of disturbed droplets in their wake and missing naruto by inches to embed themselves in the factory roof with dull thuds, sending up small splashes of water.

"You've improved.. But it won't be enough to save you" mitsurugi comments, his cold eyes narrowing. Naruto's lips curves into a faint smile, "I'm full of surprises" he replies, his eyes gleaming with confidence. The air around naruto crackles with energy as three elemental blades materialize, one of flickering fire that hisses as raindrops hit its surface, another of solid earth that seems to absorb the water and the third of crackling lightning that sends small arcs of electricity through the nearby puddles. They hover around him, responding to his will as if they were extensions of his body. Mitsurugi's eyes widen slightly with a flicker of surprise crossing his usually impassive face, "Impressive.. You know the basics of Magic" he admits grudgingly but still mocking. An explosion echoes as their eyes drawn to the plume of smoke rising in the distance. The rain seems to part around it, creating an eerie scene against the grey sky. Mio moves with spider's grace with her folded metal fan a blur as she deflects sofia's wild swings. The rain makes the metal slick but mio's grip never falters while sofia's manic grin stretches wider and her skin becoming redder with each attack, her eyes gleaming in a disturbing light.

"Oh you're good… But you know what would have been better.. If I had taken your precious Naruto for myself" sofia taunts, her voice high and mocking. Mio's eyes narrow dangerously but she didn't rise to the bait as she continues to dodge and block, waiting for an opening.

"I should have made him my little puppy.. Can you imagine Naruto on a leash.. Ready to pleasure me at my beck and call" sofia coos with a cruel grin and her voice sickly sweet. Mio's fan snaps shut with a sharp click, "You talk too much" she hisses, her voice low and dangerous.

"I'm sure Sofia is putting Eldritch Essence to good use.. I hope you said your goodbyes.. Your friend won't survive this day" mitsurugi said, his voice tinged with cruel amusement. Naruto's blue eyes harden his grip tightening on his sword, "I could about to say the same thing to you.. I hope you said goodbye to your sister because Mio is very protective of me" he retorts, his voice low and dangerous as he lunges forward without warning. The rain parts around him as he moves, leaving a momentary dry path in his wake. Mitsurugi's eyes widen slightly, caught off guard by the sudden attack. He quickly recovers, sending a volley of conjured swords hurtling towards naruto. The air around them fill with the whistle of flying blades but naruto moves with inhuman grace. He twists and turns, dodging some swords while parrying others with his own blade and using brid swords as well. Sparks fly as steel meets steel, the clang of metal on metal echoing across the rooftop.

"Stand still and die!" mitsurugi growls, summoning more swords with a wave of his hand. Naruto takes a deep but controlled breath, his chest expanding as he draws in air to use total concentration breathing and mitsurugi's eyes narrow, sensing a change in his opponent. Naruto's movements become even more fluid, his speed increasing dramatically as he shoots forward, leaving afterimages in his wake and closes the distance between them.

"Hekireki Issen!" naruto shouts, his voice cutting through the air like a thunderclap. Mitsurugi's eyes widen in shock as naruto seems to disappear and reappear, moving faster than the eye could follow. The cultist brings up his conjured sword just in time to block a devastating slash, the impact sending shockwaves through his arm. But naruto didn't stop there and presses his advantage, each strike coming faster than the last. Mitsurugi finds himself on the defensive, barely able to keep up with the onslaught. Sparks fly as their blades clash again and again, each impact leaving deep gouges in the factory roof. The metal surface beneath their feet begins to buckle and tear under the ferocity of their exchange. Naruto's eyes narrow as he notices a subtle change in mitsurugi's stance and the cultist leaps backward, avoiding a wide slash from naruto's blade. His cold eyes were locked onto naruto, a hint of reluctant respect flickering in their depths.

"Unlike Sofia.. I dislike using Eldritch essence.. But it seems I'll need it for you... So feel privileged" mitsurugi said, his voice low and controlled as a thin but humorless smile curves his lips. Naruto tenses and senses a shift in the air around them. The hairs on the back of his neck stand on end as mitsurugi begins to release his magic. The intricate tattoos on mitsurugi's face start to glow with an eerie and otherworldly light. Mitsurugi's muscles begin to swell and expand, his already impressive physique becoming even more imposing.

"It's just like Sofia" naruto thought, taking an involuntary step back. He could feel the malevolent energy radiating off mitsurugi in waves, making the air feel thick and oppressive. Mitsurugi holds his arm out, his cold eyes never leaving naruto. The air around his hand shimmers and warps, distorting like a mirage in the desert heat. A great sword materializes in his grasp suddenly, its blade gleaming with an otherworldly light. The weapon is massive, easily as long as mitsurugi is tall, yet he wields it as if it weighs nothing. Naruto's eyes narrow and recognizes the escalation in their battle, his aura surging to life like bluish-white flame. White dragon scales begin to creep up his neck, spreading up his face until they reach his left eye. The eye itself transforms, the pupil elongating into a slit as it takes on a reptilian appearance.

"Be ready Ruto" aurelia says in his mind. The two warriors face each other, the air between them crackling with tension and for a moment, neither move, each assessing the other's new form. Mitsurugi vanishes in the blink of an eye with crack of thunder in the sky as if to announce him moving. Naruto's enhanced senses scream a warning and he instinctively brings up his sword. The clash of metal on metal rings out as mitsurugi's great sword meets naruto's blade. The force of the impact sends shockwaves through the air, causing the factory roof to buckle slightly beneath their feet and momentarily pushing back the curtain of rain around them. Naruto's arms were trembling with the effort of holding back mitsurugi's strike as rain runs down their faces. The cultist's face is inches from his own as it is twisted into a snarl of effort and rage, "Impressive reflexes.. But how long can you keep this up" mitsurugi growls, pressing down harder.

"As long as I need to" naruto retorts, pushing back with his voice low and filled with resolve while his draconic eye gleams. Naruto shoves mitsurugi back with a burst of strength, creating some distance between them. He could feel the roof groaning beneath his feet, weakening by the force of their clash. The rain seems to intensify around them as if nature itself is responding to the ferocity of their clash but both could the roof would give way soon. Sofia's grin widens as her eyes glint with malice, "Oh but I like talking… Especially about all the delightful things I could do with your precious Naruto.. Can you imagine it?!.. I'd make him so subservient.. So obedient to my every whim" she purrs while twirling the sword in her hand, "And then just for fun.. I might have him kill you under my thrall.. Wouldn't that be poetic" she adds and licks her lips, a cruel light dancing in her eyes. Mio's grip on her fan tighten and her eyes never left sofia as she tracks every minute movement of her opponent, "You'll Never lay a finger on him" mio growls, her voice filled with quiet fury. Sofia's laughter echoes across the area, "Oh we'll see about that!" she cries and suddenly she is in motion. Her strikes come lightning-fast with the blade a blur of silver in the rain as she moves with inhuman speed, each attack aimed to maim or kill but mio is faster and sofia's attack become even more frenzied, more desperate while mio remains untouchable.

"Stand still!" sofia shrieks, her composure cracking as frustration seeps into her voice. Mio's lips curl into a small but dangerous smile, "Make me" she taunts, her voice low and challenging.

"Let's take this somewhere with more... Room" mitsurugi said, a cruel smile playing on his lips. Before naruto could respond does mitsurugi leaps backwards off the roof, his great sword trailing behind him and cutting through the rain. Naruto quickly follows suit as they create a curtain of rain around them. Mitsurugi lands with a thunderous impact and the ground cracks beneath his feet, water splashing up and obscuring his form for a moment. Naruto touches down more lightly than mitsurugi, his boots splashing in a puddle and sending ripples across the water-covered ground. They face each other once more but this time in the wide factory courtyard. The area is littered with crates and machinery, providing potential cover and obstacles for their continued battle. The pouring rain soaks both warriors to the bone and creating a misty haze that hangs in the air.

"No more running.. Let's finish this" mitsurugi declares, raising his great sword. Raindrops run down the blade to give it an almost ethereal sheen in the dim light. Naruto's grip tightens on his own blade and his draconic eye glows with an inner fire, "Couldn't agree more" he replies, settling into another fighting stance. The air around them seems to still for a moment, the sounds of the distant battle fading into background noise, replaced by the steady drumming of rain on metal and concrete. A shared battle cry cuts through the rain-soaked air as they lunge at each other, their swords meeting in a violent clash that sends shockwaves through the air. The force of their impact causes the ground beneath them to crack, small pieces of debris rising into the air before falling back down, splashing into the growing puddles.

"Hoh?!" mitsurugi sneers, as both against each other in the deadlock. Naruto's aura enhanced strength and mitsurugi's eldritch enhanced power fight for dominance while sparks fly from their swords grinding against one another. The metallic screech echoing through the courtyard and mixing with the constant patter of rain. Mitsurugi shifts his weight suddenly while attempting to throw naruto off balance. His foot sliding slightly on the wet ground but he recovers quickly. The blond anticipates the move, using the momentum to spin away and launch a quick counterattack. Their swords meet again and again, each strike more ferocious than the last. The air around them seems to vibrate with the intensity of their exchange, droplets of water flying off their blades with each impact.

"Stay focused Ruto" aurelia says, as the fierce battle continues and the rain shows no signs of letting up. The water pooling on the ground reflects their forms like a broken mirror, adding an almost surreal quality to their deadly dance. Naruto's eyes dart back and forth, tracking mitsurugi's movements with preternatural speed. He parries a particularly vicious overhead strike, the impact sending tremors up his arm. Without missing a beat, retaliates with a series of quick slashes and forces mitsurugi to give ground.

"You've improved more than I expected.. But it won't be enough!" mitsurugi growls, his face twisting into a snarl and deflecting another of naruto's attacks. Mitsurugi roars and unleashes a flurry of powerful swings. Naruto finds himself on the defensive, his blade a blur as he parries each strike. The force behind mitsurugi's attacks are staggering, each blow threatening to break through naruto's guard. They continue their fierce exchange with the surrounding area bearing the brunt of their battle. Stray slashes of aura cut through nearby crates and machinery, sending splinters and metal shards flying. The ground beneath their feet become increasingly uneven, cracked and pitted from the force of their movements. Mitsurugi leaps back with a sinister grin spreading across his face and a wave of his hand, dozens of shimmering blades materialize in the air around him.

"Take this!" mitsurugi roars, sending the summoned swords hurtling towards naruto and cutting the curtain of rain. Naruto's enhanced reflexes kick into overdrive with his blade becoming a blur as he parries the incoming projectiles, sparks and droplets flying with each deflection. The air filling with the sound of metal striking metal as naruto fends off the barrage. Seeing an opening and naruto leaps high into the air, his sword raised above his head. He brings it down with all his might, aiming for mitsurugi's exposed shoulder but the cultist is too quick, sidestepping the powerful blow at the last second. Naruto's sword strikes the ground with tremendous force, sending cracks spider-webbing outward from the point of impact. The concrete fracturing and buckling, creating a small crater where naruto stands. Before naruto could recover from his missed strike does mitsurugi vanish in a blur of movement. Naruto's instincts scream danger and he whirls around just in time to see mitsurugi reappear behind him, great sword already in mid-swing.

"Not this time!" naruto shouts, his aura flaring to life in a brilliant azure burst. He swings his blade in a desperate arc and acting purely on instinct, "Fūton: Kazekiri!" naruto shouts, channeling wind chakra into his sword. The clash of metal on metal rings out, drowning even the heavy patter of rain around them but this time, there's something extra. A fierce gust of wind accompanies naruto's strike, invisible blades slicing through the air and mitsurugi's eyes widen in surprise.

"What the..." mitsurugi grunts, feeling the sting of shallow cuts as the wind chakra slips past his defense. The force of the wind-enhanced blow sends mitsurugi skidding backward, his feet leaving trails in the wet ground. He steadies himself with a mix of annoyance and interest on his face, "Well.. Well.. Looks like you've got a few tricks up your sleeve" mitsurugi says, a smirk playing on his lips. Naruto allows himself his own small smirk with the rain dancing around his draconic eye, "You have no idea" he replies, readying his sword once more and his eyes narrow in concentration.

"Hekireki Issen: Rokuren!" naruto shouts, his aura flaring like lightning in a storm. The steady rain intensifies, droplets sizzling as they make contact with his electrified chakra. Naruto vanishes from sight in an instant and his speed is so great that mitsurugi's enhances senses struggles to track him. The air around them seems to crackle with energy as naruto's technique takes effect. Mitsurugi's eyes widen as he senses the incoming attacks but with a wave of his hand, summons a flurry of swords and creating a defensive barrier around himself. The clash of metal on metal rings out six times in rapid succession as naruto's strikes meets mitsurugi's summoned blades. A pained grunt escapes mitsurugi's lips as one of naruto's strikes finds its mark, slashing across his right thigh. Blood begins to seep from the wound, mixing with the rainwater and staining his dark clothes a deeper shade. The rain washes some of the blood away, creating crimson rivulets that run down mitsurugi's leg and pool at his feet.

"Seems I am not the only one injured" mitsurugi hisses, seeing the deep gash on naruto's left shoulder. Both warriors stagger back and take a moment to assess their injuries. Naruto's breathing remains steady but grips his wounded shoulder tightly, feeling warm blood seeping between his fingers and the pain is sharp, though manageable. Mitsurugi favors his injured leg with his face twisted into a grimace of pain and fury, "Impressive technique.. But it'll take more than that to bring me down" he snarls, his voice laced with grudging respect and the rain washing over them. Naruto's draconic eye gleams with determination as he readies himself for the next exchange, "I'm just getting started" he replies, his voice low and filled with resolve. The air between them crackle with tension as they face each other once more, both wounded but neither willing to back down. The rain continues to pour, washing away blood and setting the stage for the next round of their fierce battle.

[Music Change: OCTiV - Fatality(Loop)]

Naruto and mitsurugi explode into action without warning as their swords clash with incredible speed, the sound of metal striking metal echoing through the factory yard. To the untrained eye, their actions are nothing but blurs, their blades glinting in the downpour as they strike and parry with inhuman quickness. Naruto grits his teeth as his enhanced senses strain to keep up with mitsurugi's relentless assault as he parries strike after strike, each impact sending shockwaves up his arms. The pain in his shoulder flares with each movement but he pushes it aside, focusing entirely on the deadly dance of their blades. Mitsurugi's face is a mask of concentration with his cold eyes never leaving naruto's as they fight but despite his injured leg, moves with fluid grace and his great sword whistling through the rain as he presses his attack. Mitsurugi suddenly finds himself backing up against the wall of a nearby building and the rain-slicked surface looming behind him.

"Huh?!" mitsurugi thought, as naruto sees an opportunity and lunges forward with a powerful Gatotsu thrust aimed at his chest. But Mitsurugi is ready as at the last moment, sidesteps him and lets naruto's blade plunge into the wall behind him. Time seems to slow as naruto realizes his mistake and tries to pull back, to bring his sword up to defend but he is a fraction of a second too slow. Mitsurugi pivots with his boots splashing in a puddle and brings the flat of his great sword around in a devastating arc. The blow connects with naruto's back with bone-jarring force. Pain explodes across his spine as naruto is sent flying forward, crashing through the weakened wall in a shower of brick and mortar. He tumbles across the floor of the building, coming to rest in a cloud of dust and debris with everything becoming silent except the patter of rain.

"That hurt!" naruto thought while pushing himself up onto his hands and knees, coughing as he tries to clear the dust from his lungs. The steady patter of rain echoes through the newly formed hole in the wall, creating a damp, musty smell that mixes with the dust. His back throbs where mitsurugi's sword struck and he could feel fresh cuts and bruises forming from his impact with the wall. He looks through the hole in the wall and could see mitsurugi advancing slowly, his great sword at the ready. The cultist's face is set in a grim smile, confident that victory is within his grasp but naruto rises to his feet. He grips his longsword and channels his aura into blade, "Sanjuroku Pound Ho" naruto thought, swinging hard and the compressed attack shoots forward. Mitsurugi is charging towards the hole in the wall with his great sword poised to strike, ready to end the battle in one decisive blow. But just as he reaches the opening, a massive wave of blue energy erupts from within the building.

"What?!..." mitsurugi thought, his eyes widen in surprise as he realizes the danger but with inhuman reflexes. He leaps high into the air to avoid the brunt of the sanjuroku pound ho. The attack tears through the area where he had been standing, leaving a deep gouge in the ground and sending soaked debris flying in all directions. As mitsurugi reaches the apex of his jump, his eyes frantically searched for naruto but the blond ninja is nowhere to be seen. A chill runs down mitsurugi's spine as he senses movement above him as naruto appears from thin air, his body coiled like a spring. Time seems to slow as mitsurugi's gaze meets naruto's determined stare. The cultist tries to bring his sword up to defend but he is too late as naruto connects with devastating delayed dropkick to mitsurugi's face. The impact is thunderous and sends shockwaves through the air and curtains of rain. Mitsurugi's head snaps back and his eyes glazing over from the force of the blow.

"Take that" naruto thought, driving mitsurugi back like a missile. The cultist crashes into the factory yard with an earth-shattering impact, kicking up a cloud of dust and debris that mixes with the falling rain. Water splashes outwards in a circular wave, rippling across the already puddle-filled ground. Naruto lands in crouch as silence echoes across except for the rain but a few feet away is mitsurugi and slowly pushing himself up to his knees. Blood trickles from his nose and mixes with the rain-water as a nasty bruise is already forming on his face. His eyes finally looks upon at naruto and they were filled with a mix of pain, rage, and grudging respect.

"You... You're indeed full of surprises" mitsurugi growls, spitting out a mouthful of blood that quickly dissipates in the growing puddle beneath him. Naruto's grip on his sword tightens as he prepares for mitsurugi's next move. A dark aura begins to emanate from mitsurugi as his eyes, previously filled with rage and pain but now glow with an otherworldly light. Naruto feels a chill run down his spine as he senses the malevolent energy gathering around his opponent.

"You think you've gained the upper hand.. Let me show you true power!" mitsurugi growls, his voice taking on an inhuman quality. With a guttural roar and mitsurugi's body begins to change. His muscles bulge and writhe beneath his skin, growing at an alarming rate. The fabric of his shirt strains against his expanding form, tearing at the seams. Veins pulse visibly across his arms and neck, pulsing with eldritch essence. Naruto's eyes widen as he witnesses the transformation and could feel the malevolent power radiating from mitsurugi. Naruto readies him as his sword hums with his aura but mitsurugi vanishes from sight. The air crackle with displaced energy, sending ripples through the curtain of rain and naruto's enhanced senses scream a warning. He brings his sword up just in time as mitsurugi reappears above him, his massive greatsword descending with terrifying speed.

"Shit?!" naruto thought, as the clash of their sends shockwaves through the rain-soaked air. Naruto's arms tremble with the effort of holding back mitsurugi's strike. The ground beneath his feet begins to crumble, unable to withstand the immense force. Muddy water seeps into the cracks and further weakens the earth. Naruto feels himself sinking as a crater forms around him, the soft but rain-soaked earth giving way under the tremendous pressure. Water splashes up around his ankles, soaking through his shoes and chilling his feet. Mitsurugi's face is twists and inhuman as it is inches from naruto's. His eyes glow with an unnatural light as he presses down harder, "I will kill you yet" mitsurugi snarls, his voice a guttural growl that seems to come from everywhere at once. Naruto grits his teeth and feeling the crater deepen to about three feet, "Not today!... Exia Elish!" naruto shouts, with a mighty shout. A burst of blinding bluish-white energy explodes out from naruto's sword. The power surges and breaks the deadlock in an instant, with mitsurugi's eyes widening in shock as he is pushed back.

"You Bastard!" mitsurugi shouts, his voice barely audible over the roar of the energy wave and the relentless patter of rain. The blast catches him square in the chest, lifting his massive form off his feet. Raindrops vaporize as they come into contact with the searing energy, creating a momentary steam cloud around mitsurugi's body. He is sent flying backward with his massive form crashing through debris and machinery. The impact sends up sprays of muddy water and twisted metal, which mixes with the falling rain to create a chaotic scene. Mitsurugi's body carves a deep furrow in the waterlogged ground as he skids across the factory yard, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake. He finally comes to a stop when he slams into the far wall of the factory yard, leaving a sizable dent in the metal structure. Naruto stands in the crater with his breathing heavy but his stance firm. His sword still glows with residual energy as he watches the dust settle around mitsurugi's impact site.

"Are you alright Ruto" aurelia says in his mind with concern, as naruto steps out the crater and his eyes locked on mitsurugi's form. The factory yard is eerily quiet, save for the distant sounds of battle echoing from other parts of the city and the patter of rain. A low but guttural growl comes from mitsurugi rises from the wreckage. The cultist is back on his feet, his body still grotesquely enlarged and pulsing with dark energy. But what strikes naruto most is the look on mitsurugi's face. His eyes blaze with an inhuman rage, his features twisted into a snarl of pure and unadulterated fury.

"You... You dare... You DARE?!" mitsurugi's voice is a low but menacing rumble. Naruto couldn't react before mitsurugi shoots forward with incredible speed, closing the distance between them in the blink of an eye. His massive greatsword comes down in a vicious arc, aimed straight for naruto's head. Naruto barely manages to bring his sword up in time, the clash of their blades sending sparks flying. The force of the impact drives him back several feet, his boots skidding across the debris-strewn ground.

"I'll tear you apart!" mitsurugi roars, pressing his attack with renewed vigor and each step throwing up water. His strikes came faster and harder than before with each blow fueled by his rage but naruto matches as water and sparks fly from each blow. Their swords become a blur of motion and striking from all angles with devastating force but naruto is being pushed back. Naruto's foot catches on a piece of debris in the muddy water and stumbles a bit, his guard dropping for just an instant. Mitsurugi's blade flashes and finds its mark with naruto letting out a pained gasp as the sword slices across his leg, cutting deep into his thigh. Mitsurugi quickly follows up with another strike, this one catching naruto's side. The blond staggers back, blood seeping from his fresh wounds. His breathing is ragged and he could feel his strength ebbing away.

"I told you.. I'll kill you yet" mitsurugi sneers, a twisted smile spreading across his face. Naruto's grip tightens on his sword as he forces himself to stand straight, ignoring the pain shooting through his leg, shoulder and side. His draconic left eye gleams with a fierceness as he faces his opponent, "This fight's not over" naruto said, his voice low but filled with resolve. Mitsurugi's face twists into a snarl and his muscles tensing as he prepares to launch another assault, "Big words from a dead man walking" he growls, raising his massive sword. But before either of them could make a move, a wet thud echoes through the factory yard. Something has landed between them and rolling to a stop between then but for a moment, both warriors stand frozen with their eyes fixed on the object. Mitsurugi's reaction is immediate and visceral at the sight of a woman's head having platinum hair. His eyes widen in shock but then narrow in a mix of rage and anguish, "S-sofia.. No... SOFIA!" he sputters, his voice cracking and filled with emotion.

"Mio?!" naruto thought, watching as the cultist's face contorts with grief and rage in but giving way to a crushing sorrow. Mitsurugi seems to forget about their battle entirely, his gaze fixed on the gruesome trophy between to the foes. The rain continues its relentless assault, slowly washing away the blood and creating crimson swirls in the puddles around the severed head. The cultist's massive sword lowers, the tip splashing into a growing pool of water at his feet. A soft chuckle from their left draws both men's attention as naruto turns to see mio and her clothes were disheveled and soaked but there is a wild look in her eyes.

"Ara.. I've appeared at the right time" mio purrs, her voice cutting through the sound of falling rain. She runs her tongue over her lips in a disturbing display, seemingly unaffected by the water cascading down her face. Mitsurugi's grief quickly gives way to fury at mio, "You?!.. What have you done?!" he snarls, his voice dripping with venom. Mio's smile widens and shows her teeth that seem unnaturally sharp, "Your sister.. She put up quite a fight I must say.. But in the end..." she says but trails off, her eyes gleaming with a predatory light. Mitsurugi lets out a roar of pure anguish and rage as the dark aura around him intensifies, pulsing with malevolent energy.

"I'LL KILL YOU!" mitsurugi bellows, charging towards mio with his sword raised high. Mio's smile never falters as mitsurugi bears down on her but just as his massive blade is about to cleave her in two. She moves with inhuman speed and her hand shoots up, catching the edge of the sword with one hand. The impact sends shockwaves through the air, kicking up dust and debris that mixes with the falling rain. Mitsurugi's eyes widen in shock as his blade is stopped cold by this woman, "My.. My.. You've dropped your guard Mitsurugi.. Letting emotions cloud your judgment" mio purrs, her eyes glowing with an unnatural light. Mitsurugi snarls while pushing down harder on his sword but mio holds firm, her slender arm betraying monstrous strength.

"You monster!.. I'll make you pay for what you've done!" mitsurugi spits, his face contorted with grief and rage as water streams down his face.

"Oh I'd like to see you try" mio taunts, her laughter echoing across the battlefield. Naruto sees his opportunity and flares his aura as it envelopes his sword to extend beyond its edge, "Hekireki Issen: Shinsoku" he thought, launching with a burst of speed into the air and his sword aloft. Mio's eyes flicker upward and catch sight of naruto's ascending form as her smile widens, "Oops.. Time for me to go" she said playfully and in the blink of an eye, vanishing to leave mitsurugi off-balance but also exposed. Naruto's body is silhouetted against the storming sky with a flash of lightning, "Exia Ares!" he roars, his sword trailing bluish-white energy and mitsurugi looks up. The air and sheets of rain seems to part as naruto's empowered blade slices downward, cutting through mitsurugi's raised sword like it was made of paper, continuing its unstoppable arc.

"You Bas..." mitsurugi thought, as the blade passes through his body. A thunderous crack erupts and the ground beneath them splits. A twenty-foot gash opens up in the earth, extending far beyond where mitsurugi stood. Naruto is on one knee with his sword still humming with residual energy, opposite is mitsurugi standing motionless, his face frozen in a mixture of shock and pain. Mitsurugi's body begins to split slowly along the line of naruto's cut and falls apart, cleaved perfectly in two. The adrenaline from the battle is still coursing through his veins but exhaustion is quickly setting in. The heavy downpour gradually eases into a gentle drizzle, the soft patter of raindrops on the debris-strewn ground providing a stark contrast to the chaos of moments before. A pair of slender arms wrap around his waist, pulling him up into a hug.

"Mio" naruto said, his voice filled with relief.

"I'm glad you're ok" mio says, her breath tickling his ear. Her arms tighten around him for a moment and naruto feels a warmth spread through his body, easing the ache of his wounds and is about to respond when a shout cuts through the air.

"Blondie!" a voice shouts as both see nazira and grendel rushing towards him. Nazira's face is a mixture of relief and concern, her usual smirk replaced by a worried frown. Her clothes were torn and dirty, evidence of recent combat. Grendel looks around warily, his muscular form tense and ready for any potential threat. His keen eyes scan the surroundings with nostrils flaring as he sniffs the rain-soaked air.

"Nazira.. Grendel.. What's the situation" naruto calls out, wincing slightly as mio's hands hover over his wounds. Mio's brow furrows in concentration and chants the incantation as a soft green glow emanates from her palms, "Good thing Isane taught me some healing magic.. These wounds are deep" she murmurs, her voice laced with both concentration and of concern. Naruto nods and feels the soothing warmth of the healing magic seeping into his injuries, "You've gotten pretty good at this" he says, offering her a small smile of gratitude. Mio's eyes flicker up to meet his with a mix of emotions swirling in their depths, "Isane is a good teacher and I had a good reason to learn" she replies softly, before returning her focus to her task. Nazira reaches them first with her eyes quickly scanning naruto's injuries, "AuBerst soldiers showed up.. But the rebels did too.. The whole city's in chaos just like the plan" she said, her voice tight with tension.

"The riot is pulling attention.. Rebels say they are taking the key spots" grendel adds, his deep voice a low rumble and his mane ruffling in the breeze with droplets falling.

"Good.. We'll aid the rebels and find the others if we can" naruto says, standing straighter from mio's healing with his voice steady and resolute. Nazira's lips curl into a mischievous smirk and her eyes glinting with excitement, "Let's crack some skulls for the White Wolf Naruto Uzumaki… No Man!" she said, cracking her knuckles in anticipation and naruto nods with a light chuckle.

"Where do you want us White Wolf" grendel says, his ears twitching and picking up distant sounds of conflict.

"You and Nazira.. Head towards the market district.. That's where a lot of the civilians will be.. Help evacuate them if you can" naruto says, his expression turning serious once more.

"Got it Blondie.. What about you and Mio" nazira says, gripping her massive sword on her back.

"Mio and I will head towards the center of the city or head to the castle.. That's likely where we'll find Ceras and Tomoe" naruto replies, his hand unconsciously tightening on the hilt of his sword. Mio's eyes gleam with an unreadable emotion, "Just the two of us.. How exciting" she murmurs, her voice low enough that only naruto could hear.

"Be careful out there.. We don't know how many AuBerst soldiers or cultist are still in play.. We'll meet back at the Rusty Anchor at dawn" naruto says, ignoring the shiver that ran down his spine at mio's words. The group splits up with a chorus of nods and affirmatives as naruto watches nazira and grendel disappear from the factory yard and into the chaotic streets.

"Shall we Naruto" mio asks, gesturing towards the sound of distant explosions.

"Let's go.. And Mio... Watch my back" naruto says, his resolve hardening and mio nods. They set off into water-soaked streets of auBerst and couldn't help but wonder what other surprises are in store for them. [song ends]

Outside the city walls there is a different kind of battle raging as jaime's forces of 40,000 continue their clash with the auBerst army in a brutal confrontation. The air is thick with the smell of blood and the clanging of steel. The ground is still damp from the recent rain, turning it muddy beneath the soldiers' feet, making each step treacherous. At the heart of the melee stands jaime, no longer on his horse with his longsword Dawn gleaming in the now clear sky. The clouds have parted to reveal the sun that casts a welcomed light over the battlefield. Jaime's aura radiates like a miniature sun, casting an otherworldly glow across the chaotic scene. With each swing of his blade an auBerst soldiers falls, their armor offering little protection against the legendary weapon.

"Hold the line!.. Stay with me!" jaime shouts, his voice carrying over the din of battle. The cessation of rain has brought a new energy to the battle. Soldiers on both sides could now see their opponents more clearly, leading to more precise and deadly exchanges. The muddy ground proves to be both a blessing and a curse as while it slows down heavy cavalry charges. It also provides unexpected opportunities for those quick enough to use the slippery terrain to their advantage.

"Use the mud to your advantage!.. Let them come to us!" jaime shouts, his boots squelching in the mud as he pivots and parries a blow from an auBerst captain. The man's eyes widen in surprise as dawn slices through his sword like butter, leaving him defenseless and with a swift motion, ends the captain's life and his face grim but determined. His words seem to invigorate his troops and they begin to use the slippery ground strategically, letting the eager auBerst soldiers charge forward only to lose their footing and fall prey to well-timed counterattacks. The battle rages on as the sun glints off the wet armor and weapons, creating an almost beautiful but if deadly spectacle. Jaime knows that the clearing weather could work in their favor if they play it right. With improved visibility, their archers could now provide more effective support from a distance.

"Archers!.. Rain death upon them!" jaime calls out, raising dawn high. A volley of arrows arc through the sky, their deadly whistle joining the cacophony of battle. The auBerst forces are caught off guard by this sudden shift in tactics and begin to falter. Jaime presses forward with dawn cutting a path through the enemy ranks. The legendary sword seems to hum with energy, its blade unmarred by the blood and gore of battle.

"Push forward!.. We must break their lines!" jaime booms across the battlefield and rallying his troops, "For the rebellion!" he roars as he cuts down two soldiers. They surge forward with renewed vigor, pushing back against the auBerst forces. The battle rages on as the air is suddenly filled with the deafening roar of explosions.

"What in the hell is that?!" an enemy soldier near jaime shouts, his eyes wide with fear and confusion. Jaime cuts the confused soldier down and turns his gaze towards the city walls with a grim smile playing on his lips.

"That is the sound of our victory approaching" jaime says, his voice carrying over the din of battle. In the distance there are massive plumes of smoke and debris rise into the air as jaime's magical cannons continue unleash their fury upon the city walls. Each thunderous blast sends shockwaves across the battlefield, causing both sides to momentarily pause in awe of the destructive display.

"Lord Jaime!.. The cannons are breaching the walls!.. We're creating openings!" a messenger cries out, galloping his way through the throng of soldiers. Jaime's eyes gleam with fierce determination, "Excellent.. Now's our chance to break their defenses.. Ready the cavalry!.. We'll strike while they're disoriented!" he declares to his commanders and soldiers around him, his voice ringing with authority. As if on cue, another section of the wall crumbles under the relentless barrage of the magical cannons. The auBerst forces are caught between the advancing rebel army and their collapsing defenses. Jaime seizes the moment as if sensing the tide of battle turning, "Robb!.. Now's your time!.. Take your cavalry and cut through their lines!" he calls out, to his trusted soldier. Robb and his cavalry unit surge forward with the wet ground trembling beneath the hooves of hundreds of horses as they charge towards the weakened auBerst lines.

"For the Morningstar!" robb roars, his voice carrying across the battlefield as he leads the charge, his sword glinting in the sunlight. The auBerst forces are already reeling from the destruction of their walls, could offer little resistance against the onslaught of robb's cavalry. The mounted warriors cut a swath through the enemy ranks, their momentum unstoppable.

"All units advance!.. The day is ours if we press our advantage!" jaime shouts, raising his voice once more and sword. The rebel forces surge forward and follow in the wake of robb's cavalry, the battlefield becoming a more chaotic mix of clashing steel, war cries and the continuing thunder of the magical cannons. The auBerst army is caught between the relentless assault from the front and the destruction of their defenses from behind, began to lose cohesion. Jaime fights his way towards where robb and his cavalry have broken through, cutting down an auBerst soldier in his path. He catches sight of robb, now dismounted and fighting alongside his men.

"Robb!.. How fares you?!" jaime calls out, parrying a blow from another enemy soldier.

"We've broken their lines but they're regrouping fast!" robb shouts, his face streaked with mud and blood but his eyes alight with the fire of battle.

"Then we don't give them time to recover.. Rally your men.. We'll push towards the city gates!" jaime declares, dispatching his opponent with a swift thrust. As they fight side by side, the rebel army continues to press their advantage. The auBerst forces see their defenses in ruins and their lines broken as they begin to fall back towards the city proper. The battle is far from over but as jaime looks out over the chaotic field and allowed himself a moment of hope.

The sounds of battle continues to rage outside as a different kind of chaos unfolds within the healer tents. Isane works with the other healers while moving swiftly between patients, her hands steady and her eyes focused despite the exhaustion that threatens to overwhelm her. The air is thick with the scent of herbs and the metallic tang of blood but at least the heavy rains that have plagued them earlier have finally ceased.

"We need more bandages over here!" isane calls out, her voice calm but authoritative. The absence of the rain's constant drumming on the tent makes her voice carry further than before.

"Here Isane.. How can I help" a young healer says, rushing to her side and her arms full of fresh linen. Her boots squelch in the muddy ground and is a reminder of the recent downpour.

"Start cleaning the wound on his leg.. We need to prevent infection.. Especially with all this mud around" isane says, nodding gracefully and notices the improved visibility without the rain making it easier to assess injuries. Ghost prowls the perimeter of the tent with his white fur a stark contrast to the blood and grime surrounding them. His blue eyes scan vigilantly for any sign of threat, his nostrils flaring as he picks up scents carried on the now-clear air. Suddenly there is a commotion at the tent entrance as two soldiers burst in, carrying a limp form between them. Their armor is caked with mud, evidence of the recent battle conditions.

"Healer!.. We need help!" one of them shouts, his voice raw with panic. Droplets of water still cling to his beard as isane rushes to their side but her eyes widening, taking in the state of the injured soldier. Her face is badly burned and mangled but her left hand is a mess of blood and torn flesh, several fingers missing.

"Put her here quickly" isane instructs, gesturing to an empty cot. They laid the woman down and isane begins her assessment, her hands moving with practiced efficiency. She silently thanks the weather for clearing, allowing her to work without the constant distraction of rain.

"What happened" isane asks, not taking her eyes off her patient. The woman's skin is still damp from a mix of rain and sweat.

"She was on the front lines when one of their mages unleashed a fire spell.. She... She shielded three of us with her own body.. The rain helped put out the flames but..." one of the soldiers who carried her in says after swallowing hard, his adam's apple bobbing. Isane's jaw tightens but her voice remained steady, "She's a hero then.. And we'll do everything we can to save her" she says, glancing at the tent opening and the sky is now visible, no longer obscured by sheets of rain. Ghost pads over as isane works, his paws leaving damp prints on the ground. His presence seems to calm the injured soldier, the direwolf's steady breathing a counterpoint to the woman's labored gasps. The woman's eyes flutter open but are unfocused and filled with pain, "Am I... Am I going to die" she whispers, her voice barely audible over the audible sounds of the ongoing battle outside.

"Not if I have anything to say about it.. You're strong soldier.. You've already survived the worst.. Now let us help you through the rest" isane says, leaning close and her voice gentle but firm. The woman manages a weak nod before slipping back into unconsciousness as isane straighten up, calling out to the other healers.

"I need burn salve.. Clean water and a suture kit.. We have a long day ahead of us" isane continues as the healers bustle around, preparing for the complex treatment. Ghost lets out a low whine and isane glances at the direwolf with understanding in her eyes.

"I know boy.. But we can't give up.. Every life we save here is a blow against our enemies" isane murmurs, slipping off her glove and running her fingers through his damp fur. The sounds of battle seems to intensify outside as isane took a deep breath, steeling herself for the long hours ahead. The war rages on but here in this tent with the other healers, they are waging their own battle against death itself. Isane continues her tireless work but a sudden tremor shakes the ground, causing medical supplies to rattle on their tables. Ghost's ears perks up with a low growl rumbling in his throat.

"What was that?!" one of the younger healers asks, her voice trembling. Isane steadies a tray of instruments before it could topple, "Focus on your patients.. Whatever is happening out there.. Our job remains the same" she instructs calmly, though her own heart raced but even as she speaks. Isane couldn't help but wonder about the source of the disturbance. Little did she know that back at auBerst's castle, a battle of truly epic proportions is unfolding.

シーンブレイク

In the once-grand courtyard of the castle is now a scene of utter devastation as three immensely powerful warriors were locked in a fierce combat. The heavy rains have left behind a misty haze that clings to the ruins. Puddles of water reflect the chaotic scene, adding an eerie quality to the battlefield. Angron has transformed into a monstrous two-legged daemonic dragon with bat like wings. His massive form towers over the ruins of statues and fountains, his scales gleaming with an otherworldly light that seems to ripple like water. Droplets of rain still cling to his body, giving him an almost ethereal appearance in the dim light. Tomoe and ceras' faces were set with grim determination as tomoe's katana flashes in the chaotic light, each strike precise and deadly, leaving trails of water in its wake. Ceras' eyes glowing with an inner fire, unleashes bursts of magical energy from her swords, the residual moisture in the air amplifying her spells' effects. Angron's massive tail whips through the air, demolishing a nearby column and sending a spray of water into the air. The ground shakes with each step, his claws leaving deep gouges in the stone floor that quickly fills with rainwater.

"You think you can stop the inevitable?!.. The Cult of Diablos will rise just as surely as the tide!" angron's voice booms, a mixture of a roar and human speech. Tomoe and ceras share a quick glance with a silent understanding passing between them as in perfect synchronization, shooting forward with their movements a blur to the untrained eye, leaving ripples in the puddles they cross. Ceras darts left as her swords crackling with arcane energy that seem to dance with the lingering raindrops. She ducks under a massive swipe from angron's claws with the wind from his attack ruffling her damp hair, "Your cult will fall today Angron!.. We'll wash away your evil like the rain washes away the filth!" she shouts, her voice filled with conviction.

"Your madness will end!" tomoe declares, darting right and her katana singing through the misty air. She leaps high to avoiding angron's snapping jaws with water droplets flying off her blade as she moves, her blade finding a gap in angron's scales with a precision that belied the slippery conditions. The daemonic dragon lets out a bellow of pain and rage, "Insolent whelps!" he growls, his tail lashing out at tomoe. She twists in mid-air and narrowly avoids the attack, "His left flank!.. It's vulnerable!" tomoe shouts, as she lands to ceras. She nods while gathering magical energy into her swords and with a shout, releases a blast of pure arcane force, aimed directly at angron's exposed side. The monster roars in agony as the attack connects, leaving a smoking crater in his scales.

"You will not stop my Cult of Diablos!" angron bellows as his quickly turn to fury and his voice shaking the area. Angron rears back with his chest expanding as he draws in a deep breath but both tomoe and ceras recognize the danger immediately, diving to the side as angron unleashes a torrent of hellfire from his maw. The heat is intense, turning water to vapor in an instant and creating a thick, choking fog that mixes with the lingering mist. The flames lick at the wet stones, creating an eerie symphony of sizzles and pops. Wherever the fire touches, it leaves behind scorched marks and blackened debris, a stark contrast to the glistening wet surfaces surrounding them. Tomoe and ceras cautiously emerge from their cover as the inferno subsides. The courtyard is a mess of steam and smoke, the air heavy with moisture and the acrid smell of burning. Puddles reflect the flickering light of smoldering embers, creating an otherworldly atmosphere. Their clothes cling to their bodies uncomfortably, a mix of sweat and residual moisture. Droplets of water fall from their hair, mingling with the beads of perspiration on their brows.

"We need to end this quickly.. Before he tries to bring the whole castle down on our heads" tomoe said, wiping sweat from her brow. Ceras nods with her eyes never leaving angron's massive form. A spark of determination flashes in her gaze as she formulates a plan, "I've got an idea.. Keep him distracted" ceras said, her voice low and urgent. Tomoe's lips curl into a slight smile and her hand tightening on the hilt of her katana, "Distraction is my specialty.. What did you have in mind" she replies, a hint of excitement in her tone. Ceras quickly outlines her plan and speaking in hushed tones as they both keep a wary eye on angron. The daemonic dragon seems to be catching his breath, his massive chest heaving as steam rose from his scales.

"Here we go!" tomoe shouts, charging angron and hurling jutsu after jutsu at him. Ceras closes her eyes and centers herself as she takes a deep breath, focusing her energy into her swords. The blades begin to glow with an ethereal light and humming with power. Angron is enraged by tomoe's relentless assault and fails to notice ceras' preparation, "Your efforts are futile!.. The Cult of Diablos will consume this world!" he roars, snapping at tomoe with his massive jaws or his claws. Tomoe dances away from his attacks with her movements fluid and graceful, "Our efforts are not and prevail in the end Big Boy" she taunts, unleashing another burst of jutsu. Just as angron rears back for another devastating flame attack do ceras' eyes snap open. In a burst of speed that leaves afterimages in her wake, charges forward and her glowing swords clenched tightly.

"Angron!.. Your cult ends here!" ceras cries out, drawing his attention at the last moment. The daemonic dragon's eyes widen in shock as ceras' blades strike true and they pierce through his scales, sinking deep into his chest. A deafening roar of pain and disbelief echoes through the ruined courtyard. Angron staggers with his massive form swaying dangerously but the battle is far from over. Ceras pulls her swords back and preparing for another strike but angron's eyes lock onto her. His draconic features twisting into what could only be described as a sneer. The air around them crackles with tension, the scent of ozone mixing with the lingering smell of rain and smoke. Tomoe senses the shift in angron's attention and her hands move in a blur, of handsigns and points her fingers.

"Raiton: Thunder Bolt Jutsu!" tomoe calls out, her voice carrying over the courtyard. A brilliant arc of electricity shoots forward, illuminating the courtyard with a blinding flash and the jutsu streaks towards angron, leaving the scent of burning air in its wake. Ceras didn't hesitate and yanks her swords with a graceful leap that belies her skills, springing away from angron's massive form. Angron is caught off guard by the sudden dual assault and roars in frustration as the lightning jutsu strikes him squarely in the chest, right where ceras' swords pierced earlier. The daemonic dragon's scales sizzles and smoke, the smell of burning flesh adding to the already chaotic mix of scents in the air.

"W-why do you stop me Muteki Shin?!.. You once loved my parent Ancalagon" angron hisses, his voice a mixture of pain and contempt. Tomoe's eyes widen slightly at the mention of the name but her grip on her katana remains steady and ceras glances between them, confusion evident on her face.

"I did at one time.. But now I love Naruto Uzumaki the White Wolf" tomoe replies, her voice calm but tinged with a hint of confidence. Angron's massive form shakes with what could have been laughter or a cough. Blood drips from the wound in his chest, sizzling as it hit the scorched stone beneath him.

"You'll mourn his death.. Sofia and Mitsurugi will kill him" angron chuckles darkly, his eyes gleaming with malice. Tomoe's face harden at the threat but before she could respond as ceras steps forward, "You're wrong.. Naruto is stronger than you think.. He won't fall so easily" ceras said, her voice filled with conviction.

"Such faith in a mere human.. You'll all learn the folly of your choices soon enough" angron sneers, his attention shifting to ceras. His eyes narrow with a wicked gleam dancing in their depths, "But perhaps as a Greater Dragon... There's still a chance for you to save him" angron purrs, his voice dripping with false sweetness.

"What do you mean?!" tomoe says, her grip on her sword tightening and her knuckles turning white.

"Beg me.. Beg and I might consider sparing your precious Naruto" angron says, his lips curling into a cruel smile. The air grows thick with tension as ceras glances at tomoe, worry etched on her face but tomoe's expression becomes cold, her eyes hardening like steel.

"You will not harm him Child" tomoe said, her voice low and deadly as she raises her sword with its edge gleaming in the light. For a moment there us silence but angron throws back his head and laughs, a terrible sound like grinding stones and crashing waves.

"How predictable foolish!.. Your pride will be your downfall Muteki Shin!.. And his!" angron roars, his continued laughter shaking the very ground.

"Tomoe is right.. We do not beg.. We'll stop you here and now" ceras says firmly, her own weapons at the ready. Angron's laughter fades into a menacing chuckle, "Very well.. Then let's finish this dance shall we" he growls, his massive form coiling like a spring. Tomoe's grip tightens on her sword as her eyes narrow with her power beginning to release from her body, coiling around her katana as it alive. Ceras' eyes widen from the power coming off tomoe in waves, "Is this the true power of Muteki Shin" ceras thought but could she say anything, her comrade is already moving. Tomoe shoots forward in a blink as the air cracks like a whip and a gust of wind, sharp as a knife as the sword pierces deep into angron's chest. The daemonic dragon roars, more in surprise than pain but before he could retaliate, both he and tomoe vanish to ceras' shock.

"Where did they..." ceras says, blinking in a confused manner. Miles above auBerst are tomoe and angron amid the high clouds, hanging in the air for a heartbeat, almost like a painting frozen in time. The air around tomoe's sword, still embedded in angron's chest, begins to shimmer and distort. Purplish-blue-black energy swirls around the blade, growing more intense with each passing second. The light in the area seems to dim as if being drawn into the vortex of power forming within angron's massive body. Angron's eyes widen in recognition and for the first time, a flicker of fear crosses his draconic features. He opens his maw, perhaps to unleash another blast of hellfire but the energy building within him is too overwhelming.

"Your reign ends today!" tomoe says with her voice clear and strong, "Exia Morgan!" she declares, her eyes gleaming with an otherworldly light and the two words that seem to resonate with power. With those words, the dark energy within angron intensifies. Purple-blue-black light begins to seep from his scales, growing brighter by the second. The daemonic dragon's body starts to tremble, unable to contain the power building inside. A beam of energy erupts from angron's back and shooting upwards into the sky. It looks like a pillar of the night itself, studded with malevolent stars and tearing through the clouds above. The attack cuts through the air with a sound like tearing reality. Angron's roar of defiance is cut short as the dark power consumes him from the inside out, his massive form disintegrating into the beam of energy and a thunderous boom erupts against the stormy sky. Tomoe appears above the courtyard and floats down slowly, her clothes singed but a triumphant smile on her face as she lands gracefully in front of ceras.

"Angron?!" ceras asks, her voice a mix of hope and disbelief. Tomoe's smirk widens as she brushes some debris off her shoulder, "Dead" she said simply, a hint of satisfaction in her tone. Ceras lets out a breath she didn't realize she's been holding, "It's over" she whispers, shaking her head in amazement. Tomoe's expression turns serious, "Now let's find Princess Morgan.. I'm sure she's caught her brother by now" she said, already scanning the ruined courtyard and both head for the hole they made out of the throne room.

[Music: Flash Point - Robert Slump(Loop)]

The rain finally has subsided but the battle is far from over as the last droplets fall, a new horror emerges on the streets of auBerst. Grotesque creatures, twisted and malformed have now replaced the sellswords fighting brienne, cedric and tia. Tia's eyes widens as she nocks another magic arrow, "What in the world are those things!" she shouts, letting loose a barrage of glowing projectiles.

"They're not human anymore that's for sure!" cedric shouts, cleaving through one of the abominations.

"By the Gods.. They're just like the monsters that attacked Del-Durne!" brienne declares, slicing into a creature's misshapen head.

"Talk about déjà vu.. The cult is diabolical" cedric grunts, ducking under a grotesque limb.

"At least we're better prepared this time" tia said, loosing another magical arrow and its light pierced through several to find its mark. Brienne and cedric swing their swords as their backs hit to watch over one another, "These nasties are way tougher than the one from Del-durne!" he grunts, swinging his longsword in a wide arc.

"You're right.. Must be the final stage of whatever sick magic's at work here" brienne says, nodding grimly and her blade whistling through the air to cleanly severe a monster's head. Tia's elven ears twitches as she takes aim from elevated position. She alternates between regular arrows and magical created ones, each finding their mark with deadly precision.

"Final stage or not.. They still go down!" tia shouts, her voice filled with determination. The trio fight on with their movements a deadly dance amidst the chaos. The battle intensifies as suddenly a creature's clawed hand lashes out, faster than he could dodge.

"Argh!" cedric cries out as the monster's talons rake across his face, over his right eye but before he could recover, a powerful kick sends him sprawling onto his back with the wind knocked out of him. Brienne sees her comrade in danger and lets out a fierce battle cry. She launches herself at the creature, her sword flashing in the light and a single, powerful stroke, cleaves the monster in two but her moment of triumph is short-lived.

"Oof!" brienne grunts, the air rushing from her lungs as another abomination blindsides her, its misshapen fist connecting with her midsection as brienne stumbles and struggles to catch her breath. Tia's keen senses tingles with danger and glances down to see one of the twisted creatures scaling the wall towards her perch. Tia nocks and without hesitation and leaps as time seems to slow while she sails through the air but at the apex of her jump, looses her arrow and watches with grim satisfaction as it found its mark in the creature's malformed skull. She lands gracefully near cedric as he is still struggling to his feet, "You okay there.. Looks like you might need an eyepatch to go with that roguish charm" tia quips, offering him a hand and trying bring some levity. Cedric grasps her hand but winces as he stands, "Very funny.. Just don't expect me to start saying 'Arrr' anytime soon" he mutters, touching his bloodied cheek gingerly.

"We've got more company" tia says, her witty retort dying on her lips as her keen elven eyes spot movement.

"More?!.. Just what we needed" cedric says, his vision blurry from the blow and only one eye to see.

"It's not just the creatures.. Look.. More sellswords and soldiers!" brienne said, her breath coming in short gasps. As if on cue do a horde of twisted abominations appear, accompanied by a fresh wave of mercenaries and soldiers. The trio's hearts sink as they realize the dire situation they were in.

"We're gonna be overwhelmed at this point" cedric says, staggering and barely keeping his footing.

"Then we fight to the end.. No retreat.. No surrender" brienne says, ever defiant and her eyes blazing with determination.

"Agreed.. If this is our last stand.. Let's make it one for the history books" tia says with a nod, pulling her bow taut and creating an arrow. The comrades friends exchange a look with a silent understanding passing between them of they were about to launch into what might be their final attack.

"Hekireki Issen: Shinsoku!" a voice rings out, clear and powerful. The air crackles with static energy and before they could react, a jagged flash of light, reminiscent of a lightning bolt tears through the air. It rips through the creatures and sellswords alike, leaving destruction in its wake as they see a figure skidding to a halt behind their fallen foes. The stranger releases a breath that sounds oddly like a tea kettle whistling.

"Is that... Naruto?!" brienne says with her eyes widening in recognition.

"Of course it is!" a familiar voice calls out from behind them. The trio spin around to see mio standing there in a tattered guard uniform.

"Mio?!.. It's... It's been a long day" brienne says, her fatigue evident in her voice. Mio chuckles but her amusement quickly fades as her gaze fell on cedric, "Cedric!.. Your eye..." she says, rushing forward and concern etched on her face.

"Don't worry about it.. I may have lost an eye but I'm still alive.. That's what counts right" cedric says, managing a weak grin and winces as he touches his bloodied face. Mio's expression softens with a mix of relief and worry, "You idiot.. We need to get that looked at immediately" she said softly, reaching out to examine his injury. Tia steps closer with her bow still clutched tightly in her hand, "You must have succeeded in the factory district" she said, her voice tinged with both curiosity and exhaustion. Mio nods with her hand hovering over cedric's lost eye and a soft glow emanates from her palm as she begins a healing spell, "We did.. And I killed that vile cultist that harmed Naruto" she replies, her voice tight with emotion and her eyes glinting darkly.

"Remind me never to get on your bad side" cedric says, wincing as the healing magic takes effect but manages a weak chuckle.

"I killed other one" naruto said simply, his blue eyes scanning the streets and placing a hand on cedric's shoulder.

"Naruto.. What about Nazira.. Is she alright" brienne asks, her brow furrowed with concern.

"Don't worry.. She's fine.. I sent her to the market district with one other" naruto says, his lips curving into a small smile.

"The market district?!.. That's on the other side of town!" tia says, her ears perking up.

"Yes and she's there with Grendel.. The lion beastman I told Tia about" naruto adds at the confused look on cedric's face, "The city's is still in chaos" he adds, his expression turning serious.

"So what's the plan" brienne asks, her hand still gripping her sword tightly.

"I told Nazira and Grendel to meet us at the Rusty Anchor by dawn.. We should eventually head there too while helping the rebels" naruto says, running his hand through his hair with a slightly tired look but determined.

"It'll be a hard fight back to the tavern" tia says, her keen eyes scanning the surrounding chaos.

"Then it'll be a hard fight.. Simple as that" naruto says, his lips quirked into a small but confident smile.

"Lord Jaime should have breached the walls by now.. It'll be great help" brienne says, a glimmer of hope in her eyes.

"Yeah and Princess Morgan should have secured the castle by now" cedric chimes in, wincing as mio continues healing his eye.

"So all we need to do is mop up the remaining sellswords and cultists.. Piece of cake right" mio says, her face lighting up with renewed determination. Just as the group started to feel a bit more optimistic, a low but guttural growl interrupts their conversation. They turn to see a group of transformed cultists rounding the corner, their twisted forms silhouetted against the light.

"You just had to jinx it" tia says, nocking an arrow.

"Well.. Looks like our little stroll to the Rusty Anchor just got a bit more interesting" cedric says, his hand on his sword hilt. Naruto rolls his neck with the soft popping of his muscles audible in the tense silence, "Hey.. At least we won't be bored on the way there" he said, his voice low and steady.

"That's the spirit!.. Let's make this interesting.. First one to take down ten of these uglies gets free drinks at the Rusty Anchor" cedric says, despite his injury.

"You're on pretty boy.. Hope you've got deep pockets" mio says with a smirk on her face.

"Less talking.. More fighting you two" brienne says, a determined look on her face.

"Alright team.. Let's show these creeps what we're made of!" naruto said, his blue eyes scanning the approaching horde. With a collective battle cry do the group rush forward and their weapons at the ready. Naruto leads the charge with his sword crackling with energy as tia's arrows whistle through the air, finding their marks with deadly precision. Cedric, mio and brienne fight side by side, their swords and folded metal fan flash in the light. [song ends]

Princess morgan la fôret or now queen morgan sits on the makeshift throne room inside auBerst castle or a study chair converted into one. Two weeks have passed since she reclaimed her throne from her brother mordred. He is currently kneeling before her with his gaunt form weighed down by heavy chains and glaring daggers at his sister behind an oak desk.

"Well Brother.. How are you enjoying your new accommodations" morgan said, a hint of cold amusement in her voice.

"You won't get away with this!.. The people won't stand for it!" mordred hisses, spitting on the floor in a rage.

"Oh but they already have.. They're quite relieved to have a Competent ruler again" morgan says and doesn't stifle her laughter, the sound echoing off the stone walls.

"Competent?!.. You're nothing but a witch playing at being Queen.. These shackles can't hold back the truth Morgan!" mordred sneers, rattling his chains with a harsh clank.

"I am the rightful Queen by succession Mordred.. Or have you forgotten Kingslayer" morgan says, her eyes flashing with anger but her voice remains calm.

"Rightful?!.. That's rich coming from you.. I am not a Kingslayer" mordred says with a loud scoff, rattling his chains.

"You don't believe you're a Kingslayer?!.. You murdered our older brother Arthur to take the throne.. Don't pretend you have any claim to righteousness" morgan said while leaning forward, her voice low and dangerous.

"Arthur was weak.. The kingdom needed a strong ruler" mordred spits with no care of his older brother.

"And what did your 'Strong rule' bring us?!.. You colluded with that vile cult we're still dealing with.. Your actions have brought AuBerst low brother" morgan says, leaning back in her chair and laughing bitterly.

"That cult promised power!.. I did what I had to!" mordred shouts, his face twisting with rage.

"What you had to?!.. No.. What You wanted to.. And now look where it's gotten you" morgan says with shake her head and her white hair swaying.

"This isn't over Morgan.. You'll see.. The people will realize their mistake" mordred says, the former king glaring at his sister with hatred burning in his eyes.

"No they won't.. You've worked them to death in the factories Mordred.. Remember that" morgan says, tossing pictures at him and seeing the horrid conditions of the district as mordred's face twitches but he remains silent.

"Oh and let's not forget how you killed anyone who dared speak out against you.. Even made their families suffer... Ring any bells" morgan continues with her voice dripping in disdain and mordred's chains rattle as he shifts uncomfortably, "Most recently Lady Canmore and her daughter.. You had them whipped through the streets.. The poor woman was naked and carrying her son's severed head!.. A boy of only Twelve!" she adds, her blue eyes narrowing and mordred's jaw clenches but again he said nothing.

"And her eight-year-old daughter.. Whipped alongside her mother.. At least you let her keep her dress.. Oh how merciful of you" morgan says and her voice is laced with bitter sarcasm, "I wanted to kill you then Mordred.. But my rebellion would've died with me.. So I bided my time" she adds, leaning forward and her eyes blazing.

"You don't understand.. It was necessary…" mordred says, finally and his voice hoarse from his screaming.

"Necessary?!.. No brother it was cruel!.. And the people won't forget it anytime soon" morgan cuts him off, nearly bolting from her chair.

"You don't understand the pressures of ruling sister.. Sometimes harsh measures…" mordred says, his face twisted in defiance.

"Oh spare me your excuses.. Know this Mordred.. You and your loyal nobles will face the Queen's justice for your crimes" morgan interrupts, rolling her eyes in annoyance.

"Justice?!.. You mean revenge!" mordred snaps, his chains rattling as he leans forward.

"Call it what you will.. For now.. You'll continue to wallow in the Black Cells" morgan says with a smirk, while leaning forward.

"The Black Cells?!.. You can't be serious" mordred says with his face paling slightly.

"Oh but I am.. Consider it a taste of your own medicine.. How many innocents did you throw in there I wonder" morgan replies, her tone almost cheerful and glaring at him.

"You'll regret this Morgan.. My supporters…" mordred says, glaring right back at her.

"Your supporters?!… They're scrambling like rats from a sinking ship.. Face it brother.. Your reign of terror is over" morgan says with a small laugh at her brother's continued arrogance or stupdity, "Guards.. Take him away.. I've had enough of his whining for one day" she adds, waving her hand dismissively.

"This isn't over Morgan!.. You'll see!" mordred shouts as the guards moved to escort him, while he weakly struggles.

"Oh Mordred.. It was over the moment you decided cruelty was the answer" morgan says, watching him being dragged with a sigh. Mordred's angry shouts fade down the corridor as the heavy oak doors swing open once more but in strides ser jaime dayne, his armor still bearing the marks of recent battle. He approaches the throne with purposeful steps and then drops to one knee before morgan, "Your Grace" jaime said, his voice respectful.

"Please Ser Jaime rise.. We've known each other far too long for such formalities" morgan says as her lips curve into a small smile.

"Old habits I'm afraid.. How did our dear friend Mordred take to his new... Accommodations" jaime says, standing and a hint of amusement in his eyes.

"About as well as you'd expect.. He's still convinced the people will rally to his cause" morgan replies with a dry chuckle.

"Well he's in for a rude awakening.. I've got Robb chasing down those who fled.. They won't get far" jaime says while shaking his head, a wry smile on his face.

"Good.. And what of our... Unexpected allies" morgan says, leaning back in her chair and crossing her legs.

"Naruto Uzumaki's group.. They're still in the city and hunting down the remaining cultists" jaime reports, knowing their help made sure this rebellion happened and succeeded.

"The White Wolf.. I sure bards are already singing of his exploits" morgan says, a thoughtful expression on her face.

"Can't say I'm surprised.. He and his group were the linchpin that connected both our sides to free AuBerst" jaime says with a small chuckle.

"Indeed.. Though I suspect the real work is just beginning" morgan muses, glancing to window and the outside.

"Too right.. Rebuilding won't be easy but at least we've got a solid foundation now" jaime agrees, running a hand through his hair, "I've got my remaining men stationed outside the wall.. Just in case any troublemakers get any bright ideas" he adds after a small pause.

"Smart thinking.. How are our supplies holding up" morgan says with a smile and a hint of a smile on her lips.

"We're doing alright.. Supplies are coming from as far as Schnee.. It should keep us going for a while" jaime replies, his tone calm.

"That's good to hear.. And the people.. How are they faring" morgan said, her eyes distant.

"They seem... Lighter somehow.. Despite all the mess with the wall.. In the city and the factory district.. It's like a weight's been lifted off their shoulders" jaime says, his face brightening some. Morgan's expression turns somber, "That's a relief.. But we mustn't forget the cost.. We can rebuild buildings Jaime.. But we can't replace lives" she says with a sigh, her voice softening.

"Indeed.. It's gonna be a long road ahead" jaime says, nodding solemnly and his smile fading.

"Indeed it will.. But we'll face it together.. For AuBerst and for those we've lost" morgan agrees, a determined glint in her eye. Jaime nods but notices a subtle shift in morgan's demeanor with her gaze softening as she looks at him, a hint of vulnerability in her eyes.

"Jaime.. I've been thinking... Would you consider reestablishing our match.. The one Arthur arranged" morgan said, her voice quieter now. Jaime's eyebrows shoot up in surprise as he looks into morgan's blue eyes, searching for something and after a moment, opens his mouth to speak but morgan cuts him off gently.

"You don't have to answer now.. Think about it.. I'm sure nobles from both our sides will suggest it anyway" morgan said, a small smile playing on her lips.

"Morgan.. I... That's quite a proposition" jaime says, looking a bit flustered.

"I know.. I know.. It's not exactly romantic is it.. But we've always worked well together" morgan says and chuckles softly.

"True enough.. Though I'm not sure 'Working well together' is the best foundation for marriage" jaime admits with a smile.

"Oh.. And what would you suggest Ser Jaime.. Moonlit walks and poetry" morgan asks, leaning forward and her eyes twinkling as she raps her desk rhythmically.

"Well it couldn't hurt.. Though I'm rubbish at poetry I'm afraid" jaime says with a laugh, some of the tension easing from his shoulders.

"I'll keep that in mind.. For now let's focus on rebuilding.. We can deal with matters of the heart when things are more settled" morgan said, her tone light but her eyes still holding a hint of something deeper.

"Agreed.. Though I have to admit Your Grace.. You certainly know how to keep a man on his toes" jaime says with a nod, looking relieved.

"Well we can't have you getting complacent can we.. Now tell me more about these supplies from Schnee…" morgan says, while laughter echoes through the room with it being bright and genuine.

"Ah yes.. About that... It seems a bout of sickness ran through the Weiss household recently" jaime says, clearing his throat and his expression sobering slightly.

"How bad was it" morgan asks, her smile fading and her brow furrowing with concern.

"Bad enough I'm afraid.. It took the life of Lord Eldric and his son Gilbert but also a few others of the household" jaime says with a small sigh.

"That's... Unexpected.. Who's managing things there now" morgan says, her eyes widen in surprise.

"His oldest daughter Roxanne has taken over for the family.. She's the one who came with the supplies actually.. Quite a capable young woman from what I've seen" jaime replies, impressed by the young woman.

"I see but you know.. I've heard some... Unsavory rumors about Eldric and his indulgences over the years" morgan says, nodding slowly and a thoughtful expression crossing her face.

"I have as well.. The man uses his wealth to keep it secret" jaime says, remembering hearing rumors of deceased individuals.

"Mmmm Indeed.. Nothing concrete.. But whispers of excesses.. Of pushing boundaries better left untouched and the missing.. It seems those rumors might have caught up with him in the end" morgan hums, her fingers tapping lightly on the arm of her chair.

"It wouldn't surprise me.. Eldric always did have a reputation for... Living large shall we say.. But Roxanne seems cut from a different cloth entirely" jaime says, his expression grim.

"How so" morgan asks, leaning forward with interest and resting her hands on the desk.

"Well for one she insisted on coming herself with the supplies.. It seems she didn't trust just anyone for such an important task.. And the way she handled the logistics of it all... I was impressed" jaime explains, moving to look at one of the books on a shelf.

"Interesting.. Perhaps I should arrange a meeting with young Lady Roxanne.. It sounds like she might be a valuable ally in the days to come" morgan says, her lips curving into a small smile.

"I think that would be wise Your Grace.. Shall I send word to her" jaime asks, sliding the book back and nodding in agreement.

"Yes do that.. And Jaime.. We'll keep an eye on how things develop in Schnee.. A change in leadership like this... It could have far-reaching consequences" morgan replies, her mind already working through the possibilities. About thirty minutes later does the sun stream through the high windows, casting long much needed sunlight across the study. A knock at the door echoes and it opens, courtesy of a guard and in strides a young woman with chestnut hair cut short in a style more befitting a young nobleman than a lady. She wears a white tunic, gray pants and boots, topped with a dark blue men's double-breasted jacket. She approaches morgan's desk and drops to one knee with her head bowed respectfully.

"I greet Queen Morgan La Fôret" the young woman said, her voice clear and confident despite the formal posture. Morgan leans forward slightly and intrigued by this unconventional noblewoman, "Lady Roxanne Weiss I presume" she asks, though she already knows the answer.

"Yes Your Grace.. I've come to pay my respects and discuss the matter of continued support for AuBerst's rebuilding efforts" roxanne says, looking up and meeting morgan's gaze with startlingly blue eyes.

"Please stand.. I've heard about you from Ser Jaime.. He speaks highly of your capabilities" morgan says, gesturing for roxanne to rise.

"Ser Jaime is kind.. I merely did what was necessary for the good of our lands" roxanne says, a hint of a smile tugging at her lips as she stands.

"Indeed.. I understand you've recently taken over leadership of House Weiss.. My condolences for your losses" morgan says, studying the young woman before her. Roxanne's expression remains composed but a flicker of something like pain or relief passes through her eyes.

"Thank you Your Grace.. It was... Unexpected but I am committed to leading our house and lands back to honor and wisdom" roxanne says, keeping her face neutral.

"No need to thank me Lady Roxanne.. You are one of many who are helping rebuild.. Your presence here despite your recent losses.. Speak volumes of your dedication" morgan says, her voice gentle but firm.

"Indeed Your Grace.. AuBerst's recovery is crucial for all of us.. House Weiss stands ready to assist in any way we can" roxanne says while straightening her shoulders, a determined look settling on her face.

"Your commitment is admirable.. Tell me.. How are things faring in Schnee.. I imagine the transition hasn't been easy" morgan says, while nodding approvingly.

"It's... Been challenging Your Grace.. But we're managing.. The people of Schnee are resilient" roxanne says, her fingers twitching slightly at behind her back and the only outward sign of her inner turmoil.

"As are you it seems.. I've heard rumors of some... Questionable practices under your father's rule.. How do you plan to address those" morgan says while observing, her eyes keenly assessing roxanne.

"Those rumors are not without foundation I'm afraid.. My first act as head of House Weiss was to dismiss several of my father's advisors and put an end to certain... Indulgences" roxanne says with her jaw tightening almost imperceptibly.

"Bold moves for a new leader.. Have you faced any resistance" morgan asks while raising an eyebrow, impressed by roxanne's frankness.

"Some.. But I have loyal supporters who understand the need for change.. We're working to undo the damage and rebuild trust.. Both within Schnee and with our allies" roxanne admits, her voice steady.

"It seems Schnee is in capable hands.. Now about those supplies you brought…" morgan says, a hint of approval in her eyes. As they delve into the logistics of aid and rebuilding efforts. Morgan couldn't help but feel a growing respect for the young lady weiss as despite her grief and the sudden burden of leadership. Roxanne shows a keen mind and a strong sense of duty and perhaps this unexpected change in schnee's leadership could lead to a brighter future for both their lands.

シーンブレイク – Beware some graphic things will be coming. You have been warned - シーンブレイク

Naruto, ceras, tomoe, mio, grendel, tia and brienne with a handful of soldiers loyal to morgan, were sifting through the building that was once the cult's base of operations. Brienne covers her mouth with a rag and her eyes were widening in horror, "Oh Gods.. What is all this" she mumbles, staring at the twisted experiments and tools of torture scattered around the room.

"Stay focused.. We need to search for anything Angron might have left behind" naruto says, his face hardening while looking over some papers but they yield nothing except the name Petyr Baelon and not much else on him as keeps the name in the back of his mind.

"Aye Ser Naruto and we need to know if he had any other collaborators.. Can't risk more of these lunatics running around" Tobias and one of morgan's soldiers says while nodding grimly. Tia remains composed despite the grisly surroundings as examines a strange contraption with a critical eye as she could've been here. She runs a slender finger along its edge with her expression disgusted, "This device appears to be a combination of a meat grinder and some sort of alchemical apparatus.. The implications are... Disturbing to say the least" she muses, her voice calm and trying to be analytical. Her aquamarine eyes narrow as she continues her inspection, her years of experience allowing her to maintain her composure in the face of such horrors.

"Found something.. Looks important" grendel says, hefting a heavy chest onto a table.

"Good eye.. Naruto come take a look at this!" tomoe says, peering around grendel's body and her scarf swaying. Grendel pries the chest open as naruto makes his way over, "Interesting.. Looks like Angron was keeping tabs on some other groups.. This could be useful" naruto says, frowning as he rifles through the contents.

"Everyone!.. You might want to see this.. I think I found their plans for future... Activities" ceras calls out, her voice ringing out from another room. The group exchange worried glances before hurrying to join ceras, "Hey over here!.. I found something!" a soldier's voice rings out.

"What is it?!" naruto says, his head snapping up from another chest.

"A trapdoor Ser.. Looks like it leads underground" the soldier says, pointing to the floor and the group gather around while eyeing the metal ring embedded in the wooden floor.

"Well this is interesting.. We should check it out" ceras says, crouching to one knee and running her fingers along the edge.

"Yeah.. It might lead back to the Underhive" naruto says with a thoughtful expression on his face. Brienne's eyes widen with sudden realization, "Wait... Could this be how the cultists were getting in and out of the city undetected.. Like you.. Nazira and Mio did" she asks, her voice tinged with a mix of horror and concern. Naruto turns to her with his blue eyes considering her words, "That's... Actually a really good point Brienne.. It's definitely possible.. These hidden passages could have given them free rein to move around without raising suspicion" he said, scratching his chin.

"If that's the case.. We need to be extra cautious.. There could be more cultists down there or worse more of Angron's experiments" ceras says, her hand instinctively moving to the hilt of one of her swords.

"We should proceed with extreme caution... Grendel can you smell anything unusual coming from below" tomoe says with a nod of agreement, her sharp red eyes scanning the trapdoor. The lion beastman leans down with his nostrils flaring as he takes a deep whiff, "Nothing but dust and mold right now.. But that doesn't mean much once we get deeper" he says, after a moment and shaking his head.

"If this was indeed their method of entry and exit.. We might find some evidence of their movements.. Discarded items.. Worn paths.. Perhaps even a further makeshift base of operations" tia says, her analytical mind already at work. Tomoe draws her sword and her eyes scanning the room with a sharp but calculating gaze, turning to tobias and his soldiers.

"Tobias.. I need you and your men to remain here and guard this entrance.. We can't risk anyone following us down or escaping while we're investigating" tomoe said, her tone brooking no argument with her voice firm and authoritative.

"Understood Ma'am.. We'll hold this position" tobias says with a nod, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword. Tomoe reaches up and pulls her scarf over her nose with the fabric settling comfortably across the lower half of her face.

"If you find anything of note up here or if anyone suspicious approaches.. Send word immediately to your commanders" tomoe instructs, her red eyes scanning the room above the edge of her scarf.

"Aye.. We'll keep our eyes peeled" tobias assures her, gesturing for his men to take up defensive positions around the room. Grendel lifts the trapdoor and they begin their descent as tomoe and ceras take point with eyes scanning the surrounding. Naruto, tia and brienne formed the middle of their group, with grendel and mio bringing up the rear.

"You know Nazira's missing out on all the fun down here" mio says, breaking the tense silence.

"Fun?!.. That's one way to put it" naruto says and glances back with a shake of his head.

"She's helping with the reconstruction efforts alongside Cedric.. Even with one eye.. He's determined to see the city rebuilt" brienne says, her voice tinged with concern and her blue moving around.

"Less chatter more focus.. We don't know what's waiting for us down here" ceras calls back from the front.

"Ceras is right.. Everyone stay sharp.. Grendel keep your ears open for any sounds behind us" tomoe says, nodding in agreement with ceras' sentiment. The lion beastman grunts in acknowledgment with his muscles tensed and ready for action. As they descend deeper as the air grows thick and musty but grendel's nose twitches and he lets out a low growl, "Something's off.. Smells like... Rotted flesh" he grumbles, his eyes narrowing.

"You sure" naruto says, looking back to him and his eyebrows raised.

"This way.. It's getting stronger" grendel says, pointing down a winding tunnel.

"Great.. Just what we needed" tomoe says, wrinkling her nose. They follow grendel's lead with the passage twisting and turning but suddenly, come to a sudden drop-off as the stench hits them like a wall.

"Oh Gods" brienne says with a sharp gasp, covering her mouth. Below them lays a pile of decaying bodies, some hideously transformed with bulging muscles, extra limbs, twisted features and it is a grotesque sight. Among the human remains are the mutilated corpses of various animals like dogs with elongated snouts and razor-sharp teeth, cats with multiple eyes and writhing tentacles, and even what appears to be a horse with its skin peeled back to reveal pulsating organs. Brienne spots a litter of kittens with their tiny bodies fused together into a writhing mass of fur and claws, "Even the innocent weren't spared" she whispers, her voice choked with emotion.

"Bastard didn't discriminate.. Humans.. Animals.. Demihumans… All just meat for his sick experiments" grendel growls low in his throat, his fists clenching at his sides. Tia kneels down with her analytical gaze scanning the grotesque menagerie before them, "The transformations seem to affect different species in various ways" she says, her voice clinical despite the horror surrounding them.

"These must be Angron's failed experiments.. These poor people and animals" ceras says, stepping closer to the edge and her face a mask of disgust. Naruto crouches down with tia as his blue eyes are filled with a mix of anger and sorrow, "If Angron wasn't already dead.. I'd kill him myself" he says, his voice low and tight.

"I agree.. And I'm glad I had the chance to end his miserable life" tomoe says with her expression grim.

"We should keep searching.. There might be more pits like this one" ceras says, running her hand through her red hair and her eyes scanning the gruesome scene below.

"Great.. More lovely sights to see" grendel says, his nose wrinkling in disgust.

"We should document this.. Maybe we can identify some of these poor souls.. Give their families some closure" brienne says, still looking pale. Naruto stands up and brushing off his knees, "Good thinking" he says, his brow furrowing in thought and with a quick series of hand signs. He creates three shadow clones. "Alright you three.. Head back up and find us a map of the Underhive.. We need to start marking off these areas we've explored" naruto says, addressing his clones. The clones nod in unison, "Got it boss" one of them said before they all turn and begin making their way back through the winding tunnels.

"What do you think we'll find deeper in" ceras asks naruto as they prepare to continue on.

"Honestly.. Probably more of the same.. But we need to be thorough" naruto says with his face grim.

"We can't risk leaving any of Angron's work intact.. Who knows what might happen if it fell into the wrong hands" tomoe says, nodding in agreement.

"Well if we run into any more of Angron's goons.. I'll be happy to introduce them to my fists" grendel says, slamming his right fist into his left.

"Always so eloquent Grendel" tia says, rolling her eyes and ears twitching. The group move deeper into the underhive with the weight of what they've discovered hangs heavy in the air.

"Alright Grendel.. Looks like you're our guide now" naruto says, his blue eyes reflecting determination. Grendel nods with his nostrils flaring as he takes in the dank but musty air, "Right.. Follow me and stay close" he says, his hulking frame coiled for action. The group navigate the winding passages with the wall slick by moisture and the occasional scurrying of unseen creatures echoes in the darkness.

"I don't like this.. It feels like we're being watched" ceras says, keeping her voice low.

"Stay alert.. We don't know what Angron might have left behind down here" tomoe says, her hand never straying far from her sword hilt. As they venture deeper as the tunnels begin to twist and turn more frequently but grendel pauses at each intersection, his nose twitching as he seeks out the strongest scent of decay.

"This way" grendel says, pointing down a narrow passage to their left.

"How much farther do you think this goes" brienne says with a shudder as they squeeze through the tight space.

"Hard to say.. The underhive could extend all under AuBerst" tia says with her voice calm but there is an edge of tension to it. Grendel suddenly holds up a hand, stopping the group in their tracks with his eyes narrowing as he sniffs the air more intently.

"What is it" naruto asks, his body tensing for potential danger.

"The smell's changed.. It's... Fresher and there's something else mixed in.. Something chemical" grendel says, his voice coming out like a low rumble. Mio frowns with her senses prickling too but as she opens her mouth to speak does a small spider delicately descend from the ceiling on a thin strand of silk. It lands softly on her shoulder with its eight legs settling into the fabric of her clothing. Mio pauses with her eyes flicking to the tiny arachnid and remains still, allowing the creature to make itself comfortable, "I feel it too.. There's a strange stench in the air" she says as her voice is low and tinged with concern, "And it seems our little friend here doesn't like what's ahead either" she adds, her gaze returning to the path ahead. She gently raises a hand and allows the spider to crawl onto her finger, its movements were quick and agitated as if trying to convey a sense of urgency.

"Spiders are indeed sensitive to vibrations and changes in their environment" tia observes, her ears twitching slightly and her eyes narrowing.

"As if we needed more warnings about this place" grendel says, his nose wrinkling and ready to bring draken's maw.

[Music: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders OST - Omen(Loop)]

The tunnel ahead of them widens into a larger chamber as they cautiously enter and they find themselves facing a sight that makes even grendel take a step back. The room is filled with large, pulsating sacs attached to the walls and ceiling with sickly green fluid oozing from some of them and pooling on the floor.

"By the Gods.. What are these things?!" brienne whispers with her face going pale.

"They appear to be some sort of organic incubators.. But for what I can't say" tia says drawing her emerald-hilted dagger and cautiously approaching one of the sacs.

"Whatever they are.. We need to destroy them.. We can't risk leaving any of Angron's experiments intact" naruto says, covering his mouth with his half mask and anger in his eyes. As the group prepare to deal with this new horror does a low but inhuman moan echo through the chamber. The sacs pulsate more violently with their sickly green fluid oozing faster onto the floor but suddenly, a pale hand bursts through one of the larger sacs and flailing desperately in the air. Naruto's eyes widen in shock as a woman falls from the ruptured sac, her body covered in viscous fluid and gasping for air, her body crisscrossed with angry red welts.

"That's... That's Lady Canmore.. The one they whipped through the streets with her son's severed head in her arms" naruto exclaims, his voice a mixture of disbelief and horror.

"Lady Canmore?!.. Can you hear me" brienne says, being the first to rush forward and kneeling beside the trembling woman. Lady canmore's eyes were wild but filled with a manic and unnatural light. Before anyone could react does lady canmore lunges at brienne with a feral snarl, her fingers curled into claws.

"Heretic!.. Blasphemer!.. You'll burn for your sins!" lady canmore shrieks, her voice raw and inhuman. Brienne barely manages to dodge the attack, "What in the..." she says, rolling away from the crazed woman. Her words were cut short as more sacs begin to rupture, spilling their contents onto the chamber floor. Men, women and even animals tumble out, their bodies contorting and twisting in grotesque ways. A man's arm elongated with bones cracking as they stretch beyond natural limits. A woman's face splits open, revealing rows of razor-sharp teeth. A dog's fur fell away in clumps, replaced by glistening scales.

"Everyone back!.. Now!" grendel roars, positioning himself between the group and the emerging abominations while bringing out his axe.

"We need to contain this!" naruto shouts, his eyes darting around the chamber and assessing the rapidly deteriorating situation. He quickly uses an earth brid to create a temporary earthen barrier at the entrance. A half-transformed creature that might have once been a nobleman lunges at tomoe but she pivots, her sword flashing in the dim light as she severs its mutated arm.

"These aren't people anymore.. We can't save them!" tomoe calls out, her voice grim.

"Oh Gods.. What did Angron do to them?!" brienne says, her face pale.

"It seems the sacs were some sort of mutagenic incubators.. The chemical smell... It must have been the catalyst for these changes" tia says, her eyes narrowing at the sight of the transformations. A grotesque, multi-limbed beast that might have once been a horse charges at the group, its eyes blazing with murderous intent but grendel meets its charge head-on and his axe blocking the creature

"A little help here!" grendel grunts, grappling against the beast's unnatural strength. The group spring into action without hesitation as naruto's hand flies to his side, drawing his sword with a metallic hiss. The blade gleams in the dim light as he charges forward and blue eyes blazing with determination.

"I've got your back Grendel!" naruto shouts, slashing at the multi-limbed creature's flank. Tomoe is already in motion with her katana a blur of silver as she dances between two grotesque figures that might have once been guards. Her face is a mask of grim concentration as she dispatches them with swift and precise strikes. Ceras quickly reaches for her dual swords, "Don't let them surround us!" she calls out, her voice steady despite the chaos and with practiced precision. She wields the twin blades in a deadly dance with her movements fluid and graceful. The first sword slices through the air while creating a barrier between her companions and the encroaching abominations. The second follows in a swift but complementary arc and catching any creature that dare to venture too close. The dual blades sing as they cut through the air, their edges gleaming in the dim light of the chamber.

"Watch your flanks!" ceras shouts, her eyes darting from one threat to another. She pivots on her heel, her swords moving in perfect harmony as she fends off a pair of smaller but faster monstrosities that tried to slip past her guard. The twin swords allow ceras to maintain a constant offense and defense, never leaving an opening for the creatures to exploit. She alternates between quick, precise jabs and wide, sweeping slashes, adapting her fighting style to the ever-changing flow of battle. A particularly large abomination lumbers towards her but ceras crosses her blades, catching its massive claw between them. She twists her wrists with a grunt of effort, using the leverage to throw the creature off balance and in one fluid motion, separates her swords and bringing them both down in a devastating cross-cut that left the monster writhing on the ground.

"Stay close!" ceras calls to her companions, her breath coming in short but controlled bursts. With her dual swords flashing in the dim light does ceras continue to hold the line, her determination unwavering in the face of the horrific onslaught. Tia's slender fingers curl around the hilts of her twin daggers, their polished blades glinting in the dim light of the chamber. With fluid grace born from years of practice, darts between the monstrosities and her movements a deadly dance.

"These abominations won't fall easily" tia calls out, her voice calm despite the chaos surrounding them. Her aquamarine eyes narrow as she assesses each threat, calculating her strikes with cold precision. She ducks under the swipe of a mutated arm, her daggers flashing as she sliced through tendons and muscle with the creature howling in pain but tia is already moving on to her next target.

"Aim for their weak points.. Some of these transformations have left them vulnerable in unexpected places" tia shouts, her voice carrying over the din of battle. She spins around a lumbering beast with her daggers finding the soft flesh beneath its mutated body. The creature collapses and tia smoothly extracts her blades, flicking off the viscous fluid that clings to them. Mio's uses folded metal fan with a serious look, "I'll do what I can" she said, her voice tight with concentration. Her eyes dart between the approaching threats, assessing which ones pose the most immediate danger. Mio shifts her stance and balancing on the balls of her feet as she prepares to defend herself and her companions. She holds the fan in front of her, its polished surface reflecting the chaos around them.

"Stay close.. I'll cover you" mio calls to brienne, who still looks pale but determined. With a graceful sweep of her arm does mio use her fan to make gust of wind lacing towards an approaching abomination. The creature stumbles a bit, giving her an opening to strike with the deadly edge of her fan. Mio alternates between using her fan in conjuncture with her fists, creating a formidable defense against the horrors that surround them. Her movements were fluid and precise, each action calculated to maximize her effectiveness in the cramped space of the chamber. Brienne is pale but raises her sword with trembling hands, "For the people of AuBerst.. These poor souls must be put down" she whispers, steeling herself for the fight ahead. As the group engaged the monstrosities but a horrifying sight catches brienne's attention. Lady canmore's body begins to convulse violently, her back arching at an impossible angle. The skin on her back stretches and bulges by forming a grotesque protrusion.

"What in the..." brienne says but her words were cut short as the bulge on lady canmore's back split open, revealing a sight that would haunt her for years to come. The head and right arm of a young girl, no more than eight-years-old, emerges from the torn flesh. Her features were unmistakably that of lady canmore but her eyes hold the same manic light as her mother's.

"Mommy?!.. Why did you let them hurt us Mommy?!" the child calls out, her voice a discordant mix of innocence and madness. Lady canmore's body lurches forward as her daughter on her back wails in anguish and flails her arm. The sight is so shocking that even the seasoned ceras, tomoe and mio falter for a moment.

"Focus!.. We can't let our guard down!" tomoe shouts, her voice cutting through the horror. Brienne shakes herself out of her stupor, re-engaging with the abominations around them but even as she fought. She couldn't shake the image of lady canmore and her daughter from her mind. It is a stark reminder of the depths of angron's cruelty and the urgency of their mission. The chamber echoes with the clash of steel, the snarls of monsters and the shouts of the group as they fight to contain the nightmare angron and his cult left behind. Amidst the chaos does lady canmore's twisted form lurch towards brienne, her eyes wild with a mixture of pain and fury.

"Why?!.. Why did you hurt us?!.. Why did you kill my son?!" lady canmore screeches, her voice a haunting blend of anguish and madness. Brienne stumbles backward to avoid the crazed woman, her sword wavering as she faces the grotesque figure before her. Lady canmore's words cut through the din of battle, forcing brienne to confront a horror beyond the physical transformations surrounding them.

"We were loyal!.. My husband died serving you.. He bled for AuBerst!" lady canmore wails, her body contorting as she advances. The partial body of her daughter on lady canmore's back joins in the lament, "Where are you Lady Sofia?!.. You promised to protect us!" she cries, its childish voice a chilling counterpoint to the mother's cries. Naruto hears the commotion and cuts his way towards brienne, "They are no longer in their right mind!.. Don't let their words get to you!" he shouts, parrying a blow from a nearby abomination.

"Lady Canmore.. I... W-we didn't…" brienne says, hesitating and her sword lowering slightly. Taking advantage of brienne's momentary weakness does lady canmore lunge forward with inhuman speed. Her elongated fingers are now tipped with razor-sharp claws, slashing through the air towards brienne's face. At the last second does mio's fan intercept the attack and its metal edge slices through lady canmore's mutated flesh, "Stay focused Brienne!.. Remember this isn't really her anymore" mio calls out, her voice stern but not unkind. Tears stream down brienne's face as she raises her sword once more, "I'm sorry.. May the Gods have mercy on your soul Lady Canmore" she whispers, steeling herself for what needed to be done. The chamber echoes with the sounds of clashing steel and inhuman shrieks as the group fight tirelessly against the abominations. Naruto's blade flashes in the dim light, cutting down creature after creature with grim determination. Grendel's axe strikes against mutated flesh, while ceras and tia dance around their opponents with deadly grace.

"We're turning the tide!" tomoe shouts, as the of battle is indeed turning. The number of monstrosities have dwindled as the group's coordinated efforts prove too much for the mindless creatures. Naruto's magic crackles through the air, incinerating several abominations at once, while tomoe's sword sings a deadly song as it cleaves through twisted limbs and bodies. Brienne is still shaken by lady canmore's words but fights with renewed vigor, channeling her guilt and sorrow into each swing of her sword. She moves with purpose with her blade finding its mark time and time again. As the last of the smaller creatures fall and again lady canmore's grotesque form still lurches forward, her dual voices wailing in anguish and rage. Tomoe steps forward with her face set in a mask of determination, "I'll handle this" she said, her voice calm but filled with resolve. Lady canmore charges at tomoe with her claws slashing through the air but in fluid grace. Tomoe sidesteps the attack and her katana flashes in a perfect arc. There is a moment of stillness and then lady canmore's body crumples to the ground, both her and daughter's faces frozen in a final expression of pain and confusion. The chamber fell silent, save for the heavy breathing of the group. Brienne stumbles forward with her eyes fixed on lady canmore's lifeless form and falls to her knees beside the body, her sword clattering to the ground.

"I'm sorry.. I'm so sorry we couldn't save you" brienne whispers, her voice choked with emotion. Naruto places a gentle hand on brienne's shoulder, "We did what we had to do.. They were beyond saving" he said softly and his tone grim. Tomoe cleans her blade with a swift motion before sheathing it. Her face is stoic but her eyes hold a hint of sorrow, "It was a mercy.. They're at peace now" tomoe said, her voice quiet but firm.

"We should burn it all.. Leave no trace of this madness" grendel says, resting his axe on his shoulder and surveying the carnage around them.

"I agree.. I do it" naruto says, nodding in agreement. Ceras sheathes her swords with her face grim, "Do it.. But first let's see if there's anything we can salvage.. Any information that might help us understand what happened here" she said, looking around the grim scene. The group began to search the chamber, their eyes scanning the twisted remnants of angron's experiments. Naruto moves cautiously with his blue eyes darting from one corner to another, looking for anything that might provide insight into the madman's plans. Ceras runs her hand along the slimy walls and her face contorts in disgust, "Nothing here but nightmares" she mutters, wiping her hand on her clothes.

"Can't smell anything useful.. Just death and decay" grendel says, his nose twitching as he sniffs the air and his face a mask of revulsion.

"We've seen enough.. There's nothing more to be gained here" tomoe says, her red eyes scanning the chamber one last time. Brienne remains kneeling beside lady canmore's body with her hands trembling as she gently closes both their eyes, "May you find peace in the next life" she murmurs, her voice barely above a whisper and stands slowly but her eyes never leave the grotesque form before her.

"We've done all we can here.. It's time to end this nightmare" mio says, placing a hand on brienne's forearm. The group moves towards the entrance of the chamber and with naruto brings down his earth barrier, their faces grim from the weight of what they had witnessed. The air around naruto begins to shimmer with heat as several flaming orbs materialize, hovering around him like miniature suns.

"Stand back" naruto warns, his voice low and intense. The others retreated to the safety of the tunnel as naruto focuses his chakra. The flaming orbs begin to elongate, transforming into blazing arrows of fire and quickly shoot forward, streaking across the chamber. The fiery projectiles make contact with the walls and floor and explode into roaring infernos. The flames spread rapidly to consume everything in their path of the ruptured sacs, the twisted bodies and all traces of angron's vile experiments. Mio steps forward with her hands raised and a barrier of thick webbing springs to life from her fingers at the entrance of the chamber, containing the raging fire within. The heat is intense and causes beads of sweat to form on their brows even from a distance.

"It should hold until the fire suffocates" mio says, dropping her hands and looking to ceras. The group watch in somber silence as the flames continue to devour the horrors they had witnessed. The fire cast flickering shadows on their faces, highlighting the mix of relief and sorrow in their eyes.

"Do you think... Do you think they're at peace now" brienne says, her voice breaking the silence and barely audible over the roar of the flames.

"I hope so Brienne.. I truly hope so" naruto says with a soft expression. As the fire continues to rage behind them, the group begin their journey back through the winding tunnels of the underhive. The weight of what they have seen and done hang heavy on their shoulders, a grim reminder of the darkness that still lurks in the shadows of auBerst. [song ends]

Hours pass as they navigate out the labyrinthine passages, their footsteps echoing in the eerie silence. By the time they emerge from the underhive, the sun has long since set and casting the city in a blanket of darkness broken only by the occasional flickering streetlamp.

"I need to check on Isane.. I'll catch up with you all later" naruto said, his voice tinged by exhaustion and parts ways with the group and his mind heavy with the day's events. The others nod in understanding and watch as naruto disappears into the night.

"I don't know about you but I could use a drink" tomoe says, turning to the group and her eyes reflecting the weariness they all felt.

"The Rusty Nail isn't far from here" ceras suggests, her usual stoic demeanor softened by fatigue. The group make their way to the tavern, their bodies aching and their minds still reeling from the horrors they have witnessed. They push open the heavy wooden door as the warmth and noise of the establishment wash over them, a stark contrast to the cold but silent tunnels they have left behind. The rusty nail is a modest establishment, its walls adorned with faded paintings and old weapons. The air is thick with the smell of ale and roasted meat, and the low hum of conversation fill the room. They make their way to an empty table in the corner, "Nazira.. Cedric.. What are you doing here" brienne says, spotting two familiar faces.

"We decided to get a drink" nazira says, her tusks gleaming under the lights and waving them over.

"You all look like you've been through hell" cedric adds, his tone concerned and scanning the group with his one good eye. The group settle around the table and a barmaid approaches with a tray of mugs filled to the brim with frothy ale as grendel grabs one eagerly, downing half of it in one gulp.

"You have no idea.. The things we saw down there..." ceras says, reaching for her own mug. Nazira's keen eyes scan the group but lingers on brienne's face. The young woman's gaze is distant but unfocused as if she is seeing something far beyond the tavern walls. Nazira recognizes that look all too well, the haunted stare of someone who has witnessed horrors beyond imagining.

"Brienne" nazira calls out, her voice laced with concern and brienne didn't respond as nazira glances to cedric.

"I think we're going to need something stronger than ale" cedric says, his eye narrowing as he takes in the group's haggard appearance. Nazira nods in agreement and waves over the barmaid, "Bring us a bottle of your strongest whiskey and keep it coming" she says, her voice low but firm. The barmaid hurries off to fulfill the order as mio looks to the blonde, "Brienne" mio calls softly and reaches across the table, gently placing her hand on brienne's arm. Her touch is light but almost hesitant as if she fearing brienne might shatter at any moment, "Brienne are you with us" mio asks, her voice barely above a whisper. Brienne blinks slowly and her eyes gradually focusing on mio's face, "I... Yes.. I'm here.. I just keep seeing... Hearing..." brienne murmurs, her voice barely above a whisper and flashes of lady canmore echoing. Her words trail off as the barmaid returns with a dusty bottle and a set of small glasses. Nazira takes charge and pours a generous measure for everyone at the table, "Drink up.. It won't make you forget but it might dull the edges a bit" she said gruffly, pushing a glass towards brienne. Brienne takes the glass with trembling hands, staring at the amber liquid for a moment before throwing it back in one swift motion. She coughs as the whiskey burns its way down her throat but some color returns to her cheeks. Ceras watches brienne with a mix of concern and understanding as she leans in, "It's okay to be shaken by what we saw Brienne.. We all are" she says, her voice low and gentle.

"The horrors we witnessed today... They will stay with us.. But we faced them together and we will process them together" tomoe says, her expression one of compassion. As the group sit in somber silence, each lost in their own thoughts and the whiskey flows freely. The warmth of the alcohol and the company of friends slowly begin to ease the tension that has gripped them since emerging from the underhive.

"To think all this time.. Right beneath our feet…" grendel says, on his third glass already and a deep sigh.

"The depths of human cruelty never cease to amaze and horrify me" mio says, her eyes distant while naruto is making his way across the city to check on isane. The temporary medical area is near the midpoint of the city and bustled with activity even after nightfall. Soldiers and civilians alike greet naruto with warm smiles and respectful nods as he approaches. Their kindness is a stark contrast to the horrors he has witnessed earlier in the day. Naruto nears one of the medical tents and spots a familiar sight that brought a small smile to his face. Ghost is lounging outside the tent and his form is a reassuring presence. The wolf's ears perk up at naruto's approach and he pads over to greet his master. Ghost rises up on his hind legs with a soft whine, placing his large paws on naruto's shoulders and the blond reaches up to affectionately rub ghost's head, his fingers sinking into the thick white fur.

"Hey there big guy.. Keeping an eye on Isane for me" naruto murmurs, finding comfort in the wolf's presence. Ghost's tail wags slowly in response and his intelligent eyes fixed on naruto's face. The bond between them is palpable and a silent understanding that needs no words. Naruto gently lowers the wolf's paws from his shoulders with one final pat to ghost's head, "Stay here boy.. Keep watch" he said softly to ghost. The direwolf whine a little but obediently sits and scans the area, hoping for some still awake children or people to give him pets. Naruto slips quietly into the tent and the flap rustling softly behind him. The interior has several cots lining the sides and his eyes quickly adjust to the low light, and he scans the room to search for isane.

"There you are" naruto thought, spotting isane in the far corner. She stands between two cots and her staff is glowing with a soft but ethereal light. On each cot lay a set of twins, their faces were pale and drawn but as isane's healing energy flows over them, color slowly returning to their cheeks. Naruto watches in silent awe as isane works with her face a mask of concentration, brows furrowed slightly as she focuses. As he approaches and one of the twins, a young girl with braided hair opens her eyes. She blinks sleepily and her gaze moving from isane to naruto with small smile tugging at her lips.

"Are you an angel too" the girl asks softly, her voice barely above a soft whisper. Naruto feels a lump form in his throat and shakes his head while kneeling beside the cot, "No little one.. I'm just a friend.. But Isane here might be one" he says, gesturing to his beloved healer.

"I'm no angel.. Just someone who wants to help" isane says, glancing to her love and a hint of a smile on her tired face. The girl nods with her eyes already drooping closed again, "Thank you" she murmurs before drifting off to sleep. Naruto stands and moves closer to isane as she finishes her work, "How are they" he asks quietly, not wanting to disturb the sleeping children. Isane lowers her staff and the glow fading from the jewel, "They'll be alright" she said, her voice heavy with exhaustion.

"And you.. How are you holding up" naruto says, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder and feeling the tension in her muscles. Isane's eyes soften at his touch and pulls him into a tight but one armed embrace as he melts into her arms, and finding comfort in her warmth. Isane wrinkles her nose suddenly and pulls back slightly with a playful glint in her tired eyes, "You reek" she said with a small chuckle, her voice a mix of amusement and concern. Naruto feels a blush creep up his neck but is now very aware of the grime and sweat that clings to him, "Sorry.. I wanted to see you as soon as possible after... Well after what I saw in the underhive" he murmurs, a sheepish grin spreading across his face. The playfulness in isane's eyes fades and is replaced by a deep concern. She keeps her arm around him and her fingers gently rubbing circles on his back, "What happened down there Naruto" she asks softly, her voice barely above a whisper.

"It was... It was bad" naruto says and the horrors he witnessed flash through his mind, "I've seen a lot but this... This was something else" he adds, glancing to the sleeping children. Isane nods with understanding etched on her face. She didn't press for details but senses that naruto wasn't ready to relive those moments just yet, "I'm glad you're safe" isane murmurs into his ear and ignoring the smell. The quiet hum of the medical tent surround them with her hands moving to cup his face, "You should get some rest" she said gently and her thumbs brushing his cheeks, "And maybe a bath" she adds with a small smile, trying to lighten the mood. Naruto chuckles softly and is grateful for her attempt at humor, "Yeah I suppose I should.. What about you.. You look exhausted" he agrees, catching one of her hands in his and giving it a gentle squeeze.

"I should stay a bit longer" isane says, glancing around the tent and her sense of duty warring with her obvious fatigue.

"You need rest too.. These people need you at your best.. Why don't we both get some sleep and we can talk more in the morning" naruto insists, shaking his head slowly.

"Alright.. Let me just check on a few more patients and then I'll head out" isane says, after a moment of hesitation. Naruto smiles and feeling a weight lift from his shoulders, "I'll wait for you outside with Ghost" he said, giving her hand one last squeeze before letting go. Naruto turns with a gentle wave and steps out of the tent. The cool night air hit his face, a stark contrast to the warmth inside. He takes a deep breath, letting the fresh air fill his lungs and trying to clear his mind of the day's horrors. Ghost is right where naruto left him, his white fur almost glowing in the moonlight. The direwolf's ears perk up as naruto approaches and he lets out a soft whine of greeting. Naruto sinks to the ground beside his loyal companion, leaning back against the tent's sturdy support. He runs his hand through ghost's thick fur, finding comfort in the familiar texture.

"How was your day boy.. Did you keep everyone in line while I was gone" naruto asks softly and to his surprise. Ghost lets out a series of short but quiet barks as if actually responding to the question. The wolf's intelligent blue eyes meet naruto's, filled with an understanding that seems almost human. Naruto's eyebrows shoot up in amazement, "Wow.. Sometimes I forget how smart you are Ghost" he breathes, a small chuckle escaping his lips. He continues to rub the wolf's head, his fingers working through the soft fur behind ghost's ears. The repetitive motion is soothing and helps to ground naruto after the chaos of the day.

"You wouldn't believe what we saw down there buddy" naruto murmurs, his voice taking on a somber tone. Ghost shifts closer and resting his large head on naruto's lap as if sensing his master's distress. Naruto appreciates the silent comfort and grateful for ghost's unwavering presence. He sits there while stroking his loyal companion's fur, feeling some of the tension begin to ease from his shoulders. About fifteen minutes later, the tent flap rustles and isane emerges. Her face is drawn with fatigue but her eyes soften as they fall on naruto and ghost, "Ready to go" isane asks softly. Naruto nods while giving ghost one last pat before rising to his feet. The three of them set off towards the inn where they were staying with the others, the streets quiet and empty in the late hour.

"Naruto… What... What did you see in the underhive" isane asks hesitantly as they walk and curiosity getting the better of her. Naruto's steps falter for a moment and his face clouding over with the memories. Ghost presses closer to his side as if lending him strength and naruto takes a breath, "It was... It was worse than anything I could have imagined.. We found a dumping area for bodies first.. Just... Piles of them discarded like trash" he said, clenching his right fist tightly. Isane's free left hand flies to her mouth and her eyes wide with horror as naruto continues, "But that wasn't the worst of it.. We found a chamber... Filled with these grotesque green sacks.. They were... Experiments on people and animal." he says but his gaze is fixed on the path ahead, "We had to put them down.. It was the kindest thing we could do.. Then we burned the bodies.. All of them" he adds with a shudder, the memory all too vivid. They walk in silence for a while with each lost in their own thoughts and ghost padding alongside them, his presence a steady comfort.

"I keep thinking... What if we hadn't found them.. How long would people those suffer" naruto says, as they near the inn.

"You did what you could Love.. You put an end to it.. That's what matters now" isane says, stopping and turning to face him as she places her hands on shoulders. Naruto nods slowly while trying to take comfort in her words. As they stand there, the weight of the day's events hang heavily between them and ghost lets out a soft whine. The sound seems to break the somber mood and naruto manages a small smile.

"Come on.. Let's get some rest.. Tomorrow's another day and there's still work to be done" naruto said, his voice a little steadier. The three of them enter the inn, their footsteps heavy with exhaustion. They reach their shared room as the pair share a look of mutual understanding as isane gently pushes naruto towards the bathroom, "You go first.. You need it more than I do" she says softly, going to grab her night clothes. Naruto shakes his head and slips off his sword holster then grabs some clothes before slipping inside. He sets the temperature on the shower and strips off his clothes, soon the warm water washes over him as the day's tension begins to melt away. The grime and sweat from the underhive swirls down the drain but the memories linger, especially the body of lady canmore and her daughter. He soon dresses in some loose pants and a shirt as he emerges, feeling cleaner but still weary. Isane takes her turn as naruto sits on the edge of the bed, absently scratching ghost behind the ears as he waits. Isane soon finishes and they climb into bed with naruto behind her, wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her close. The familiar scent of her hair, freshly washed and smelling faintly of lavender, fills his senses and he presses a soft kiss to isane's bare shoulder.

"Thank you" naruto whispers, feeling her relax against him. Isane intertwines her fingers with his around her waist and giving his hand a gentle squeeze, "Always" she replies, her voice soft and loving. As they lay there in the quiet darkness while ghost settles on the floor beside the bed. The horrors of the day still lurk at the edges of his mind, but for now in this moment of peace and closeness, find solace in each other's arms.

The next chapter to timeskip about four months with the Lunar Wolves getting recognition from the Queen and making plans to see an old friend. Now Ceras won't be joining the Lunar Wolves, so they will part here. Thank you to Everyone for their continued support.
