King Uther tracks Balinor to Ealdor to find his newborn son and ailing wife. Uther takes the child for his own and hides Merlin's true parentage. What will happen when the truth is revealed? Will Merlin stand beside Arthur and become Camelot's protector, or will he become her greatest threat?

AU - In an apocalyptic world of endless darkness, young King Arthur and his friends set off on a quest to save humanity.

Merlin and a version of Morgana, who was told by the warlock about the truth of his identity, help free as many sorcerers as they can.

Merlin's heart had near stopped upon hearing Arthur's words. A sudden warmth flooding him, filling his very being with an unexpected hope at what the future could look like.
