Chapter 124: Next Scheme
Naruto: 5200 – 3200.
"Next, I summon Z-Metal Tank in attack mode." Naruto explained, summoning a yellow tank. "Now, I attack you directly."
Demise and Z-Metal Tank attacked Husker directly.
Husker: 4800 – 900.
"Husker…" Dandy Man growled.
"If you fail…" D'Arby continued, equally pissed.
"We lose a lot of money." Faye finished.
Husker felt immense pressure.
'How am I supposed to defeat that monster?' He thought, looking Demise, the King of Armageddon. 'It has a powerful ability and attack power.'
"I end my turn." Naruto said, allowing Husker to draw.
He drew nothing helpful…
"I can't…" Husker whispered.
He couldn't make a move.
Naruto had cornered him with ONE monster.
"I give up." Husker replied.
"WHAT!"
"YOU CAN'T GIVE UP!"
"WE CAN'T LOSE ALL THAT MONEY!"
Husker was about to be torn apart by Faye, D'Arby, and Dandy Man before their attention was pulled by Naruto's laughter.
"Don't kill him…" Naruto laughed as he divided the money he had earned, returning it to the four Sinners. "I don't need the money."
"You are so strange, Naruto." Fuu sighed, shrugging as the Sinner's let out cries of happiness.
Gambling is one HELL of an addiction.
Ten Minutes Later…
"I'm glad they like the card game." Naruto said as he and Fuu left the apartment, Naruto having left the Duel Matt behind, but keeping his duel disks.
"Eh… not a bad game, just never got into it." Fuu admitted as the duo walked into the night. "Like… I saw episodes as a kid, and then I stopped when the white cards were introduced with… was it the third or fourth series?"
"Third." Naruto answered.
Fuu nodded.
Their walk back to DFS was followed by silence.
However, Fuu looked at Naruto via glances.
"What's wrong?"
"Huh?"
"You look bothered by something." Fuu pointed out, realizing Naruto didn't notice it himself. "What is wrong?"
"Oh, uh… I just feel… okay, hear me out…"
Fuu felt herself build a defensive wall within herself before she nodded.
"I feel like I knew those three people."
Fuu's head tilted, stopping in her tracks.
"How?"
"D'Arby, the Dandy Man, Faye Valentine…" Naruto said as he pulled out his phone, googling something. "All names of Anime Characters from Jojo part three, Hellsing Ultimate, and Cowboy Bebop!"
Fuu took his phone, looking at the anime pictures.
"Yeah… I can see the resemblances… but it could JUST be a weird coincidence… or the author is fucking with you again."
"Author?"
Fuu looked beyond the fourth wall, staring intensely before returning her gaze to Naruto, a sly smile stretching across her face.
"Just fucking with ya', ya' fuck." Fuu said, hitting his arm playfully.
Naruto was utterly confused as Fuu began to walk again with the hound slowly following her.
Unbeknownst to the Duo was a shark on the top of a nearby building, binoculars and a walkie talkie in hand.
Next Day, Hazbin Hotel…
"… can make magic holograms of things and if enough magic is put in, they can actually destroy things!" Sir Pentious shouted in excitement.
"Yeah… I just said that." Naruto said as the Sinner looked at his duel disk.
Naruto had been called by Husker to come play another game, and it was an excuse for Naruto to pick up the duel mat as well.
Husker was waiting outside the hotel, and the two had started playing with the duel disks.
The sounds and conversation pulled Sir Pentious from his room, and seeing the monsters, he panicked.
Until it was explained they were holograms, the Snake led a frenzied panic through the hotel.
Once it was explained, Pentious, as an inventor, took great interest in the duel disk.
"Can you leave this here? If allowed to study this, I could build an impressive defensive system for the hotel!" Pentious exclaimed in excitement.
Naruto bit his lip.
The duel disks were two of his prized possessions. He couldn't part with them easily.
"How about I lend you the duel mat?" Naruto offered, handing it over to the snake. "It is the same thing, just for table usage."
"PERFECT!" Pentious shouted, turning to the hotel, hand next to his mouth. "EGG BOIS!"
"Yes?" all of the egg bois called as they clammered out of the hotel to the call of their master/boss.
"GET THE TOOLS, WE HAVE MUCH TO BUILD!" Pentious exclaimed as he took the duel mat and slithered off.
"You think that was a good idea?" Husker asked Naruto.
"No… I don't know anymore." Naruto said as his phone went off. "Oh, shit, I got to go… Andromeda is throwing another tantrum…"
Meanwhile…
Karasuba watched her charges train.
Hinata destroying training dummies with a flurry of kicks.
Kiba slicing through them with his claws enhanced with magic.
Tamamo standing in a battojutsu stance, cutting down her target with swift precision.
"Karusuba…"
The Crow Sinner turned to see Melani approach.
"Melani." The swordsman said to the marksman.
Melani held disdain in her expression.
Due to the difference in combat, the two had this… 'rivalry'.
One viewing guns as a sign of weakness.
One viewing swords as an idiot's choice.
"The Madam has a job for you." Melani stated, getting to the point. "I'll take over their training."
"I see." Karasuba replied as she smiled.
She had recovered from her last major battle, and she was itching to get back in the game.
With some pep in her step, Karasuba made her way to Kurama's office.
Her attention was pulled from her thoughts as she neared the office.
"…"
"…"
"… my style."
"Acrobat is a very demanding sword style, B." Kurama said as Karasuba opened the door, entering silently. "Your mix heritage allows you to hold that many swords, Tamamo's body isn't able to."
"Sis, I must insis'." B rapped, not dropping it. "I am a master of the sword, with this she will impress, I give my word."
Kurama facepalmed.
"I understand that, but…" Kurama took notice of Karasuba. "Let's shelve this conversation for later, B."
B let out an excited 'Whee~', posing while doing so before he left the office.
"He is… excentric." Karasuba pointed out, not finding his rapping shtick funny or… or anything really.
"He wants to teach Tamamo his sword style called Acrobat. It is versatile, for sure." Kurama said as she pulled out a file. "But that isn't what I called you here for."
Karasuba accepted the file, opening it.
"You're kidding?"
"Nope."
"You want me and your new pet to attack the dog's house?"
"Yes."
"Let me guess…" Karasuba's eyes narrowed. "You want me to go easy?"
"No, go for the kill." Kurama replied as she grabbed her pipe, filling it with tobacco. "I need Naruto to be as strong as he can become I take what I need."
Karasuba couldn't help but smile.
Her heart pumped vengeance.
"You still want him alive, but roughed up?"
"Yes."
"I can do that, but I want something from Karen." Karasuba said as she put the file in her robes. "Something with some kick."
Ten Minutes Later…
"You want an explosive?" Karen asked over the speaker phone as she did the dishes, Arnold outside with the kids.
"Yes, as a former human mercenary, you know how to make bombs, right?" Karasuba asked over the phone.
Karen deadpanned.
'Bringing up my past, the cunt.' Karen thought as she dried her hands before taking her phone in hand. "Yeah, I can make you the bomb. Can I know what it is for?"
"Demolition."
"Hm. Simple enough." Karen replied. "It will take me some time, I say… three days."
"Alright, see you in three days." Karasuba said before hanging up.
Karen put her phone down.
'Demolition, and a little extra.' Karen thought as she went through the mental schematics of the explosive she was going to make, what magic seals she would need to use, and how much kick it would need. 'Especially if it is for what I think this is.'
Afternoon…
"Good to know Gaara is safe." Naruto said as he and Octavia drank lemonade, the former wiping sweat off of his brow.
"Yeah, it was nice and surprising to see him in the Human World." Octavia said as she sipped her cold beverage.
Naruto, Verosika, Loona, Fuu, Millie, Moxxie, and Blitz had been training before Octavia came by for a visit.
Millie was chasing Fuu with Leviathan.
Loona and Verosika were sparing with a wooden spear and a weighted rope to simulate the Chain weapon Loona used.
Moxxie and Blitz were shooting at targets, keeping their marksmanship sharp.
Andromeda, meanwhile, had been in a play pin under an umbrella, keeping her safe from the late Summer sun and get her outside.
She was very unbothered by the gun shots and the sounds of heavy exercise around her, playing with her Courage plushie and other soft toys.
Courage whimpered as Andy chewed her toys into oblivion.
Currently, she was in Octavia's arm, snuggling into her plumage.
"How is Esther?" Naruto asked, curious about Octavia's little sister.
"She is fine. Currently starting to walk." Octavia said, carefully pulling out her phone to show Naruto a video.
The video showed Esther (Who is currently fifteen months old) pushing herself up, taking two very shaky steps before she collapsed, her feet cushioning her fall. A small, yet very prideful smile on her face from her success.
"Awe~" Naruto awed as he watched another video. "Soon she will start talking."
"Yep, she is now very expressive in her face, making sounds, babbling and the like." Octavia gushed, showing Naruto another video, this one being her and Esther singing a song… well, Octavia was, Esther was garbling sounds and then her face scrunched and let out an irritated sound.
Naruto couldn't help but chuckle as he looked at Andromeda.
"Soon, she will be walking and talking too." Naruto said with pride.
"I can't wait to see it." Octavia replied, running her hand up and down Andromeda's back. "So…"
Naruto's attention was pulled.
"When are you and Verosika going to have children?" Octavia asked with a blush in her cheeks.
Naruto was thrown off, smirking as his face turned red.
"We're not thinking of children right now." Naruto said as he put his drink down. "With Andromeda, we already have enough insanity and what not for a while."
Octavia chuckled, but then she became serious.
"It is going to be stressful."
"The pregnancy?"
"Well, yes, but not in the way you are probably thinking." Octavia responded, her tone sounding worried and concerned. "Andromeda was fine due to Loona being a hellhound, but Verosika is a Succubus…"
Octavia looked Naruto in the eyes.
"… So, a child of such a mix marriage could have birth defects…" She said calmly, with hesitation as it wasn't something that is easy to talk about.
Naruto leaned back into his chair.
He hadn't thought about it.
'That…' He thought, unable to imagine a child that was part succubus and part hellhound would turn out physically. "That… we… we will…"
"I'm sorry…" Octavia apologized, interrupting Naruto. "I didn't mean to scare you with that, it is just a concern."
"No, no, it's a good concern, but…" Naruto turned and looked at Verosika. "We will… we will go through that when we get there."
Octavia nodded, smiling.
She felt relieved that she didn't put any serious worries into her friend.
"Alright, I'm going to get back to my training." Naruto said, standing up and grabbing the Tessaiga off of the table.
Drawing the sword, which transformed, Naruto walked over to be by himself, before he summoned a clone with a Tessaiga replica.
The clone held Tessaiga, channeling the Wind Scar as Naruto himself held Tessaiga before himself, also preparing to use Wind Scar.
However, the clone put more magic into it over what Naruto had used.
'I need to master the Back-Lash Wave, and then after that, the Adamant Barrage.' Naruto thought, preparing to defend himself from the Clone's attack.

It's safe to say, it didn't work immediately.
Skip, Three Days, Border of the Lust Ring…
"Here." Karen said as she handed the square explosive and its remote detonator to Karasuba. "This can destroy the Clock tower if you wanted too."
"Perfect." Karasuba said as she handed the explosive to Gamabunta, keeping the remote for herself. "Any rules?"
"No, just set, pull the pin…" Karen pointed at the detonator. "And push the button. Bada-Bing, Bada-Boom~ Rocks Fall, Everybody Dies."
"Classy." Karasuba replied, her smile never ending as she got the DND reference.
"Karasuba." Gamabunta grunted, getting the Sinner's attention. "What is our mission?"
"We are to attack someone our Madam wants tested." Karasuba explained as she pocketed the detonator. "We are to make him feel despair to bring forth a terrifying power."
"Hm."
Karasuba snickered.
"Stoic. Not very attractive, but this…" Karasuba gestured toward two scars that Tamamo had inflicted on Bunta. "Is something I can say is interesting. Especially after being the one who trained Tamamo in Hiten Mitsurugi-ryū and Gatotsu."
Gamabunta wanted, OH SO wanted to grunt and attack Karasuba.
But chose not to.
"We thank you for your help, Karen." Gamabunta said, bowing in thanks to the Cat Sinner.
Karen smiled.
She liked Gamabunta.
"No worries." She said before the Bird and Toad left Karen's home.
Karen watched as their truck drove away.
A sly smirk appeared on Karen's face.
'Good thing I bought that empty warehouse.' She thought as she returned to her motherly duties.
Skip, Evening…
Naruto and Fuu meditated.
Naruto focusing on entering his TDF as Fuu channeled her magic to adjust/gain more experience utilizing raw magic.
"Well?" Naruto asked as he opened his eyes, making Fuu open her own.
"Horns are still nubs and your wings… about a foot in length and only few inches at your tail base is a snake." Fuu explained, giving him a thumbs up. "You're getting better."
Naruto ended his transformation, feeling irritated.
"I feel like I should be farther along than I currently am. I don't want anymore berserker episodes to draw this power out." Naruto stated in annoyance, leaning into his hand.
"You're getting there, little by little…"
"I don't want it to be 'Little by Little'…" Naruto snipped, making Fuu quirk an eyebrow.
"Wow, check out the balls…" one of her back pincers extended and stabbed into the ground, one inch away from Naruto's balls, right between his legs. "On this guy? Just because you own my soul does NOT mean you can talk to me like that!"
Naruto nodded, putting his hand to his head as Fuu recalled the pincer.
"Sorry, sorry… just… Aggravating."
"I know, Naruto, I know." Fuu reassured she wasn't angry.
They re-entered their meditation for another hour before ending their training for the day.
Entering the house, they could hear Moxxie in the kitchen cooking dinner as he played music on his phone.
SPECIFICALLY… the The Phantom of the Opera… from The Phantom of the Opera.
Naruto shook his head and took Moxxie's phone, ending the song prematurely.
"HEY!" Moxxie yelled, irritated his song was stopped.
"Sorry, dad, but I want to listen to something better." Naruto said, typing a new song into Youtube, much to Moxxie's huffing.
"Like anything is better than Phantom of the Opera." Moxxie huffed with an eyeroll.

Everyone took a deep breath, perfect unison before they all sang. Andromeda making audible sounds, trying to sing with her family, but lacking the ability too, making her pout.

Smiles were all around as the plates were placed on the table, the silverware clattering in the center of the table as cups were nearly shattered when they were thrown on the table.

The family laughed as they finished setting the table, sitting down and eating.
As the merriment continued, an amphibious demon landed on the top of DFS, placing what looked like a package in an air ventilation shaft before swiftly vanishing in the same way they arrived.
Chapter 124, DONE!
Well, Kurama is now setting in motion her next little scheme.
Naruto beat Husker, who knew. His luck is immense. So, why would he not be able to draw the correct cards to defend himself.
Sir Pentious LOVES technology, SO, the Duel Disk would be something he'd like, especially the ability to make magic into solid monsters. It would be good to add to the Hotel's Defenses.
Naruto is aggravated about his training in his TDF not being where he feels he should be. He has been a demon for nearly three years at this point, so he feels like he should be farther than he is.
Now, the bomb has been placed under the table… Hitchcock's famous line 'A bomb under a table'. Look it up.
