Chapter 130: Internal Struggles
Greed Ring, Mt. Myōboku…
The car was slowed and put into park, Naruto, Verosika, Fuu Millie, and Moxxie getting out.
The toads present were tense, seeing that all of the people were armed.
One toad walked away and sounded the alarm, sending many within the building into a small panic.
"Who the fuck are you?" one of them asked, prepared to fight if necessary.
"We are friends." Naruto said calmly, not wanting a fight. "We have heard about what happened, and we are here to talk to your boss."
Many toads looked amongst themselves before one of them walked away to inform Gamakichi.
"Come with us…" One of them grunted, turning their back to Naruto's group.
'Here we go.' Naruto thought as he and his family followed the toads to a waiting room.
"Disarm yourselves, please." One toad said as they approached the waiting room.
Naruto complied, unsheathing Tessaiga (Which didn't transform) and Nuada.
Millie handed over Leviathan.
Moxxie placed Los Lobos on the table.
Fuu didn't have any weapons.
Verosika didn't make any moves to disarm.
Afterall, her Nuada Spear was shrunken down to the size of a hair clip.
However, one look from Naruto, who was silently pleading, gave the Succubus the reason to reach into her hair, allowing the Nuada Spear to appear to the toads' eyes.
She placed the downsized spear (Due to it being in its short form) on the table.
"Please, wait in here." The toad said as he gestured to the next room. "Anything to drink?"
"Any liquor?" Verosika asked, pushing up her glasses.
"Sake."
"I'll take one bottle." Verosika cheerfully stated, her happiness going high as she hadn't had sake before.
"I'll take some sake, too!" Fuu gleefully said.
"Water for me, thank you." Naruto politely asked.
"Water here, for both of us." Moxxie asked.
Naruto, Verosika, Fuu, Millie, and Moxxie sat down, waiting patiently for their drinks and Gamakichi.
They didn't wait long before Gamakichi, Gamaken, and Katsuyu entered.
Naruto felt a spike in anxiety.
They were surrounded by toads, who were armed to the fucking teeth.
"Boss." The toads croaked in unison, bowing.
Naruto swallowed a lump in his throat as he followed suit.
"Greetings, Boss Gamakichi." Naruto said as he raised his head. "I am Naruto Uzumaki, the Stray Dog Overlord."
Gamakichi snorted as he sat down.
"Never heard of ya." Gamakichi grunted as he put his tanto on the table, taking notice of the fact that Naruto had two sheathes but no swords. 'Good, they have been disarmed. We can at least have a conversation.'
"Hello, and pleasant greetings." Katsuyu said in a cheery tone, trying to be a guide for Gamakichi and keep a pleasant atmosphere. "I am Katsuyu, head of the Slug Cartel. I am good friends with the Toad Yakuza, and was called to be an observer in this meeting."
"Nice to meet you, Katsuyu." Naruto greeted, earning a smile from Katsuyu as the door opened once again, a female toad walked in, carrying a tray.
Seven cups, a jug of water, and a bottle of Mt. Myōboku Sake: Toad Oil.
She placed the cups before Naruto, Verosika, Fuu, Millie, Moxxie, Gamakichi, and Katsuyu, pouring the water and sake.
"Why are you here?" Gamakichi asked as he drank sake, his hand slightly shaking.
"We are here to help." Naruto said as everyone started to drink their beverages.
The Toad Oil Sake hit Fuu HARD.
She was a pothead, not a drinker, so liquor had her head spinning.
'I think I'll stay quiet, don't want to ruin this moment.' Fuu thought to herself.
"What could an Overlord, especially a bottom feeder, have to offer in terms of help?" Gamakichi snipped, his cup being slammed hard enough to nearly shatter the table.
"I know what happened here." Naruto basically squeaked out, his voice slightly high pitched.
Gamakichi had to bite his lip, trying not to laugh.
He was young.
Twenty-two.
So, seeing someone who he guessed was close to his age act like a scared child was humorous.
But he couldn't laugh.
He wasn't allowed.
He was the new Boss.
He needed to set an example.
"Now, now, let's all remember we are here to listen to what they want to offer." Katsuyu reminded her nephew. "We aren't here to intimidate or scare."
Gamakichi lit a cigarette, rolling his eyes as the door opened once again.
"Sorry, I am late." Gamatatsu said as he scrambled to sit next to Gamakichi, who was absolutely LIVID his brother was here. "Hello, I am Gamatatsu, the second-in-command."
"Nice to meet you, Boss." Naruto greeted.
Gamatatsu laughed… heartily.
"No, no, just call me Gamatatsu, or Tatsu." Said toad laughed as he extended his hand.
Naruto took Gamatatsu's hand, a wave of ease washing over him as the female toad from earlier came back with a new cup for Gamatatsu.
Millie and Moxxie could see, from Kichi's reaction, that Tatsu wasn't supposed to be there.
It wasn't from embarrassment, but protection.
"Earlier, I said we know what happened." Naruto restated, wanting to continue with the meeting, drinking some water. "My family also was attacked by the Marquis."
Gamakichi quirked an eyebrow.
"With our mutual enemy, I would like us to work together to…"
"You want our help to kill a Marquis?" Tatsu blurted out, dropping his cup back on the table. "That's a tall order."
"I KNOW, RIGHT!" Fuu exclaimed, breaking her silence before going quiet again with a soft 'Sorry'.
Gamakichi put his hand on his brother's shoulder, and carefully pushed him behind him, allowing Kichi to lean forward.
"You're asking me to risk the lives of myself and my men?" Kichi asked as Ken helped Tatsu sit back up. "We just lost my father and many others against that… that bitch! You ask me to allow more of that?"
"Yes." Naruto said, his fingers shaking, knowing what he had said was not ideal. "But we'd be purging Hell of an evil that plagues everyone."
Gamakichi exhaled the smoke from his cigarette.
"I think…" Katsuyu interrupted. "If we do this, you can do one thing for us."
She looked at Gamakichi, her eyes telling him what she meant.
"My father." He mumbled.
"We aren't trying to kill Kurama for the sake of murder." Verosika added as she pulled out a few pictures. "We have a few people we wish to save, and Gamabunta is one of them."
She tossed the photos on the table.
They were photos of Karen, Arnold, Tamamo, and Gamabunta.
"If Kurama is killed, we can free them and your father from her clutches." Verosika concluded as Tatsu took the photos on his hand, looking over them before handing them to Katsuyu.
"I agree." Katsuyu said as she put her hand out. "If it is to save Gamabunta, then the Slug Cartel is behind you, Stray Dog."
"Please, call me Naruto, Ms. Katsuyu." Naruto replied, bowing. "None the less, thank you for lending us your strengths."
"Kichi…" Tatsu said cautiously.
Kichi was smoking, occasionally taking drinks.
"No."
"But, Kichi, we can save dad!" Gamatatsu said in disbelief. "Come on, we can do it!"
"I said no, Tatsu." Gamakichi replied.
He didn't need this conversation right now, especially in front of Katsuyu and strangers.
"But…"
"We have no clue if what this guy is saying IS True." Gamakichi interrupted. "He could be working with that woman to lure us into a trap, and finish what she started!"
Gamatatsu shrank.
"We can assure you," Moxxie said as he frowned, disliking how Gamakichi was treating Gamatatsu. "We do not work with Kurama. We actually led a preempted strike, and put her in the hospital. Buying us time to gather allies and weapons to use against her."
Kichi turned, surprised that an attack like that could hurt a Marquis.
"Our information comes from the inside." Millie stated, standing up. "We have trustworthy sources, and know they aren't lying."
"How…"
"The spies are mine." Naruto said, holding up his hand, a bad taste in his mouth from saying Karen and Arnold were 'His', Fuu holding up her hand to show her Spiral tattoo. "If they lied to me, then pain and anguish would be upon them."
Oh, Lord, did he hate playing this part.
Well, he had a good example.
Alastor.
Naruto stood up, held out his hand to Gamakichi.
"Boss, I pledge, on my soul," He looked Kichi in the eyes, a fierce passion in them. "If you join us, Boss Gamabunta will be saved, and Kurama's head will be removed from her shoulders as retribution."
Gamatatsu stood and took Naruto's hands.
"I, Gamatatsu of the Toad Yakuza, solemnly vow to follow you into battle against the Marquis." He stated with conviction.
"TATSU!" Kichi shouted, standing up and forcing his brother away from Naruto, actively pushing Naruto away. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING, IDIOT!"
Gamatatsu's initial response was to shrivel and shrink under his brother's tone and gaze.
He knew they weren't angry, but it was a mix of confusion and love.
"Because I w… I don't want to lose our dad." He stuttered out. "You are afraid… well, so am I… our only chance to get dad back is right here, and yet you are hesitating!"
Gamakichi was taken back when Gamatatsu looked him in the eyes.
They showed immense fear, anxiety, worry, and love.
"But if we do nothing, dad will most likely suffer more under that bitch!" Tatsu continued, his passion rippling through the room, the toads nodding in agreement. "Do you want to save dad, or stay here and allow fear to consume your mind."
Gamatatsu took a VERY deep breath.
"DON'T BE A BIG PUSSY!" Gamatatsu screamed right in Gamakichi's face.
Tatsu took several breathes to recover from his outburst.
"Huh… Huh… Huh… well?" Gamatatsu asked, becoming timid as shame for his brazen display washed over him.
Gamakichi blinked… and then began to chuckle, which turned into a laugh.
"Oh, god…" he said as he wiped his eyes. "What was I doing?"
He put a hand on Tatsu's shoulder, smiling.
Gamakichi turned to Naruto, holding out his hand.
"On my word, the Toad Yakuza will follow you. We shall save the others and our father. Do I have your word you will do everything within your power to save him, protect us, the slugs, and yourself?"
Naruto took Gamakichi's hand, their grips tightening.
"You have my word, upon my soul, I shall give every drop of blood to saving them, Killing Kurama, and protecting the things I love." Naruto declared.
Katsuyu dabbed her eyes, happy to know that an agreement was settled.
"Let us celebrate," Gamakichi said as he pulled Naruto in, slinging his arm around Naruto's neck, doing the same to Gamatatsu. "To our new partnership! We shall drink until we drop!"
"HELL YEAH!" Verosika and Fuu shouted, already seven cups of sake in.
Lust Ring, Fox's Den…
Karen, currently in charge, was going through the construction plans for rebuilding Fox's Den.
'At least it isn't a full rebuild.' She thought as she looked at her explosives handywork.
It was true.
Unlike Kurama's little outburst, which leveled the entire building, the bombs shockwaves and fire shook/burned many rooms and the foundation, but it was easier to fix than completely rebuilding from scratch.
Karen sighed.
'I wish they killed Kurama.' She thought darkly, before her attention was pulled from her darkness to her phone, which had gone off. 'Hm?'
She pulled out her phone, seeing the message.
'It's from Poonhound.' She thought as saw the name.
Poonhound was what she put Naruto's contact info under.
Made some new Oily and Slimy Friends. Said they want to help host the party. ~ P
'Coded message.' Karen thought as she put her phone away. 'Oily and Slimy friends? That must be the toads and slugs, impressive he got them in one day. Willing to help host the party? So, he got them to help us. Perfect.'
Karen's glasses became blurred from light as she adjusted them.
'Now, the hard part.' She thought as she thought of the Snake Mafia. 'The scaly fucks are not going to be as easy to talk to like the toads and slugs.'
She returned to her work, before her phone went off again.
This time, Karen's eyes widened.
'Tamamo's being released from the hospital.'
Evening, Greed Ring, Mt. Myōboku…
"You want to get help with the Snake Mafia?" Katsuyu asked Naruto.
She and Naruto were off to the side.
Meanwhile, Moxxie, Millie, Verosika, Fuu, Gamaken, Gamakichi, and Gamatatsu were partying with the other toads.
"Yes, I was informed that the three of you would be the best help." Naruto replied, worried he may have said something wrong from how shocked and surprised Katsuyu sounded.
Katsuyu cupped her chin, a look of concern on her face.
"Well, Manda IS an old comrade of mine and Gamabunta's back when we were younger, but…" She rocked her drink back and forth between her hands. "He isn't the nicest demon. I mean, he has his moments… but…"
"I see. Thank you." Naruto thanked. "Is it possible to set up a meeting, and soon?"
Katsuyu nodded.
"Yes, I can pull some strings, maybe some favors, but you need to be cautious."
"I know, I was told the snakes are backstabbing cocksuckers and I need to be on my toes."
"Yes, but Manda is different."
Naruto quirked an eyebrow.
"How so?"
"He always demands great compensation for his services." Katsuyu warned. "It is never the same. Sometimes, its women. Sometimes, its money. Sometimes, it is food… I don't know what he will demand from you, so just be prepared for any price tag he offers."
Naruto nodded.
"Again, thank you, Katsuyu." Naruto said as he stood up. "You have my number, give me a call when it is all set up, please."
"As you wish." Katsuyu replied.
Naruto walked to his family, joining in the merriment.
*THWICK*
"HEY, HEY, LET ME GO!" Fuu screamed as Gamatatsu's tongue had latched onto her torso, trying to pull her into his mouth.
"OHH…" He said as he pulled his tongue back into his mouth. "Sorry, you're an insect… and we're drunk…"
Fuu jumped on top of Tatsu, trying to choke him, but his neck was WAY to think for her tiny hands to grip.
Naruto and Moxxie had to pull her off of Gamatatsu, who was a drunken sobbing mess.
Meanwhile, Pride Ring, Dry Fuck Studios…
Loona, Blitz, and Andromeda were sitting on the couch, Andy holding a baby bottle in her tiny hands as Blitz held her on his lap.
Loona and Blitz were eating microwave meals as they watched TV.
What specifically?
Well, they were watching Carrie.
The ORIGINAL, not the shitty remakes!
They had just started the film, so they were on the Bathroom: Plug it Up scene.
"Oh, dear." Blitz said as the coach broke up the commotion, slapping Carrie before comforting her. "Andy, I won't let that EVER happen to you."
Blitz rubbed his cheek against his granddaughter's cheek, making her frown as she was entranced by the tv.
But, with Blitz scratching the back of her ear, Andy became a giggling fit.
Loona was smiling as she took a picture of her father and daughter bonding.
'So cute…' She thought before… let's say… a FUCK TON of pictures from Naruto and Verosika flooded their group chat.
Loona opened them, and pouted.
'THEY ARE PARTYING…' She thought angrily as she saw them having fun with Millie, Moxxie, Fuu, and the toads. "WITHOUT ME! OOOOH THEY ARE GONNA GET IT WHEN THEY GET HOME!"
Meanwhile…
Verosika and Naruto, who were kissing, felt sudden, yet pleasurable tingles go up their spines.
'Why am I aroused?' they both thought as Naruto's dick swelled and Verosika's vaginal walls moistened.
They drunkenly shrugged and went back to making out.
As the happy couple… coupled, Fuu and Gamakichi were surrounded by Moxxie (Who was FULL BLOWN CONCERNED), Millie (Who was HYPED AS FUCK), and the other toads.
Why were they surrounded?
Well, Fuu had her hand on the table, fingers spread.
Gamakichi had a knife.
Around Fuu's hand were several full shot glasses and seven empty.
Gamakichi's hand was stabbed in a few places, seven cuts.
"Alright…" Gamakichi slurred as he tried to stay still and focus as he grabbed Fuu's wrist while gripping the knife (Which was angel metal). "One MORE TIME!"
The toads, ever ready to sing, in perfect unison, began as Gamakichi began to stab the knife into the table.
"~There is an old tradition that we all can play you start by getting liquored up and sharpening up your blade you take a shot of whisky, grab your knife and pray. Then spread apart your fingers and this is what you say~"
Gamakichi continued to stab between Fuu's fingers, nicking her ring finger and pinky.
"~Oh I have all my fingers the knife goes chop chop chop if i miss the spaces in between my fingers will come off and if i hit my fingers, blood will soon come out but all the same i play this game cause thats what its all about~"
Fuu just laughed as blood slowly seeped from her wounds, which were now more, totally four.
"~No you can't use a pencil you can't use a pen. The only way is with a knife when danger is your friend. Some may call it stupid some may call it dumb but all the same we play this game because it's so damn fun~"
Gamakichi picked up the speed, the sound of said stabbing speed adding to the singing.
"~Oh i have all my fingers the knife goes chop chop chop if i miss the spaces in between my fingers will come off and if i hit my fingers, blood will soon come out but all the same i play this game cause thats what its all about~"
Gamakichi's hand had become a blur of stabbing motions, cutting Fuu's hand several more times, making her laugh even more.
"~Oh chop chop chop chop chop chop chop chop i'm picking up the speed and if i hit the space between my hand will start to bleed~"
Gamakichi made a perfect No-Hit stretch before slamming the knife on the table.
"Nine hits, drink nine shots!" one of the toads laughed out as he got more money, due to the toads having made bets on this.
"Speaking my language~" Fuu said as she took two shots, then four, six, eight, and finally nine. "Okay… Okay, my turn. Give me the knife…"
"COME ON, FUU, FUCK HIM UP!" Millie roared with enthusiasm.
"Oh, shit…" Moxxie exclaimed as he saw all the blood on the table.
"Don't worry." Katsuyu said as she walked past with two martinis', giving one to Moxxie. "I can heal them if they go to far."
"Okay…" Moxxie said as he drank his martini.
Next Morning…
"I will give you a call when Manda gets back to me." Katsuyu reiterated to a more sober Naruto, who was having a Toad Yakuza Hangover Cure breakfast.
"Yeah, thanks, Katsuyu." Naruto replied, trying to keep his eyes open.
"I'll drive, I didn't drink that much." Moxxie said, only having had two drinks.
His wife, son, Daughter-in-law, and friend had drunk a LOOOOOT.
"Thanks dad…" Verosika mumbled, having the worse hangover of the five.
After breakfast, the group left, Gamatatsu, Gamaken, Gamatatsu, and Katsuyu waving goodbye.
Naruto and Verosika leaned into each other.
'When we get home, we will just relax…' Naruto thought, smiling as he held his wife's hand.
Later…
Naruto and Verosika were sitting on their knees before Loona, who had her arms crossed, thumping her foot.
'I misspoke.' Naruto thought as he had a large welt on his head.
Chapter 130, DONE!
Hm… a lot of partying the last few chapters… Eh.
Well, I had a lot of fun with this chapter, it came to me much easier than I thought it was going to.
Naruto has the backing of both Toad Yakuza and Slug Cartel, now the hard hurdle: the Snake Mafia.
I hope I can do them justice.
