Chapter Fourteen: A Spider's Bite

It had been a few weeks since she started working and learning under the Yellow ajah. She was exhausted now. Barely having time to speak to her friends. Even Liandrin was trying to get her to the side for lessons. Lillen was also trying to get her to the side but kept failing. She was often sent on missions and other tasks for her job. Lews came to the Tower a few times to take the science ajah with him as well. So, Lillen was gone for a while now. She was only a city over. Not far, but it still felt far. This made Alessia sad a bit. Jane was always trying to comfort her in the time being. She hadn't told Jane about her real feelings for the older women. Moiraine was still sending her letters. Alessia stopped replying due to being constantly busy now. Chesmal Sedai kept her busy. If she was not learning about healing, she was cleaning and making medicine. Even on weekends she was learning as well as doing her chores. She yawned lightly and stretched her arms above her head when she finished reading a book. She looked around and smiled.
"Come with me. I want you to try healing more." Chesmal spoke as Alessia followed her. Seeing a young man laying in the bed with his eyes closed. She stood by the side of the bed with her hands behind her back while watching Chesmal perform an exam.
"You try, and tell me what you feel." Chesmal spoke. Alessia nodded her head and closed her eyes. Resting her hand above his chest. Feeling the channeling around her hand. Moving it slightly to the side and stopped. Feeling something beat lightly. She gasped and moved her hand while looking at the Yellow ajah.
"Was that?" Alessia asked as Chesmal smiled at her.
"His heart. Yes. You can feel it?" She asked as Alessia nodded her head lightly. "You may have the talent of healing. Try and find out what is wrong with his heart." The woman instructed as Alessia nodded. Going back to feeling his chest area. His heart was slow and the beating was in an odd rhythm. She frowned at the woman.
"Do some research and bring me your findings. You may go." Chesmal spoke as Alessia smiled and bowed to her. She grabbed her bag and headed out of the room while humming softly. Hearing footsteps following her as she turned and smiled.
"Well, looks like they gave you some time off?" Jane asked as Alessia shook her head.
"No. She is having me research what is wrong with the man's heart before we do anything." Alessia replied.
"Ah. I see. Alanna Sedai is looking for you. Come." Jane spoke as Alessia followed her friend with another smile. "I'm being sent on a task. I have to join Lanfear in something. They didn't give me any details." Jane spoke. Alessia frowned at this.
"I see. I hope you stay safe and in the Light." Alessia spoke as they made it down to the green floor of the Tower. There was a knock on the door as Jane began to leave.
"You're leaving now?" Alessia asked with a frown. Jane nodded and pulled her into a hug. She sighed softly and returned the hug.
"Yes. I'll write to you if you write back." Jane spoke with a smile. Alessia nodded her head with a smile. Watching her friend take her leave. One day, she hoped they would go on a task together. She felt like they worked well as a team. Hearing the door opened as she was then pulled inside.

"Alessia! Good to see you. Been busy now have we?" Alanna asked as she was eating a banana. Alessia nodded her head again and sat down on a green pillow. She smiled at the green ajah.
"Yes, Chesmal Sedai has me doing a lot of tasks when it comes to healing and medicine." Alessia spoke.
"Moiraine has been sending me letters. Telling me that you haven't written back to her in a while. Weeks, is my guess." Alanna spoke with a worried look.
"Yes. I've just been busy." Alessia frowned.
"Too busy to talk to those who care about you?" Alanna asked as she handed Alessia another letter. This letter was opened. It was addressed to Alanna but apparently Alanna wanted her to read it. It mentioned being worried about her. "She cares for you." Alanna spoke.
"I shall write to her before I dive into my studies today." Alessia spoke with a soft smile.
"Good. Bring me the letter. Better yet, reply here that way I can send it." Alanna spoke. Alessia pulled out her paper and began to write.

Dear Moiraine,
I apologize for not replying. I have been very busy with my studies under the Yellow Ajah. I learned that I can feel someone's heart if I really focus. I am still upset you will not tell me about what happened or what you have found. Ever since the Field day, I have been on alert and keeping myself absorbed into my studies. I do hope you are doing well. Stay safe in the Light.
Yours truly, Lessy.

She handed Alanna the small letter and watched her tie it up with the others before handing them off to her warder. Watching him bow and take his leave. Moiraine had been pesting her non stop ever since that incident with Trina that night. Her hand automatically went to her neck. Feeling the scar across it. Moiraine hadn't seen her since that day. Her letters had asked her how she was doing and handling things.
"Now, tell me. How are your studies going?" Alanna asked with a smile. She had that smile that everyone falls for. Alanna was, after all, loved by almost all the sisters in the Tower. Even Alessia had come to like this woman.
"It is going well. I need to research hearts. Learn more about the human body to better myself at healing." Alessia replied. Pulling out the book Chesmal had given her.
"It seems she is advancing your studies." Alanna spoke with a raised brow.
"What do you mean?" Alessia asked in a confused tone.
"Normally it's just simple helping scraps, bruises, aches. Simple first aid medicine. She is giving you more advanced things to learn." Alanna answered. Alessia was in thought while holding onto the book. "Could also be why you are constantly having your nose in the books." Alanna added. Alessia nodded her head again.
"Speaking of, I should probably go." Alessia added. Alanna nodded and stood up. Giving Alessia a hug. She was wondering why she was receiving hugs today. She gave the battle ajah a bow before taking her leave. Sticking the book back into her bag as she made her way across the garden to the other side of the Tower where her room was. It did not take long since she knew the Tower so well. Closing her room door behind her as she set her bag down on the chair at the table. Seeing a cup recently used, she raised a brow.
"There you are, little dove." A voice spoke. Alessia felt chills as she smiled and turned. Seeing Liandrin sitting on her bed on the other side. She walked over and sat next to the woman in red. Leaning against her. Feeling an arm wrapped around her shoulder.
"You haven't had a lesson with me in a while now." Liandrin spoke.
"I apologize. I have just been busy and Chesmal Sedai gave me some things to research." Alessia added. Feeling thin fingers trail across her cheek before putting hair behind her ear. She smiled softly at the woman in red.
"Have you heard from Sister Lillen?" Liandrin asked as Alessia frowned and shook her head. She hadn't had a single moment alone with the younger sister since her Name Day. She had more time alone with Liandrin since Lanfear and Lillen were out doing Light knew what under Lews' orders. It seemed Lews and Ishamael were the strongest of the Aes Sedai and were in charge of things. The Amyrlin Seat was still in charge of things as well. This always gave Alessia a sense of relief since there was talk of battles now. The Seat did not want to risk any lives of the sisters. She did not blame their Mother. Feeling the book removed from her hand as Liandrin was looking at it. Alessia stood back up and walked over to the table and started pulling out the books and bottles of medicine. She was pulling her notes out and to the side. Feeling a hand on her lower back.
"You need to rest. You do have other classes you need to be attending as well my dove." Liandrin spoke as Alessia nodded her head.
"You are right. I just really want to figure this out." Alessia spoke. She could remember the faint beating of the man's heart under her hands from channeling.
"Tell me. What did you feel when you examined his heart?" Liandrin asked.
"His heart was slow. His pulse was slow as well." Alessia replied while trying to remember what she felt.
"Did anything seem out of the ordinary?" Liandrin asked. Alessia looked at the woman and red and shook her head.
"Not that I saw. I only focused on his heart." She spoke.
"That is where you went wrong." Liandrin spoke as Alessia frowned at her. Then it hit her. She gasped lightly and gave Liandrin a quick small kiss before quickly grabbing a piece of paper and her quill. Making a dash back to the infirmary room.

She stopped and saw Chesmal Sedai healing a young girl's arm as she looked up.
"Alessia. Everything alright?" She asked as Alessia nodded her head.
"Yes. I need to examine him more." Alessia replied as she walked over to the man who was still breathing shallowly. She frowned and set her things to the side.
"What is it?" Chesmal asked.
"It's not just his heart I need to look at." She replied while pulling his sleeve up and looked at his skin. It was pale and she could see his veins very well. She frowned at this. Feeling his pulse. It felt weaker than before. "I don't understand. What's happening to him?" Alessia asked. Seeing Chesmal pull a curtain around his bed for privacy. Alessia took his shirt off with ease and frowned. He looked blue in some areas around his chest.
"We need a full body examination." Chesmal then spoke as another Yellow sister came and helped. The man was now in his undergarments as Alessia was using her One Power to feel any abnormalities down his legs and gasped. Turning his ankle over a little and frowned. Seeing two small holes by his ankle.
"He was bitten by a spider." Alessia spoke.
"What kind?" Chesmal asked.
"I do not know. I need blood drawn and I can see if I can identify the venom?" Alessia asked. Chesmal nodded at the other Yellow who drew up a vial. Alessia held her breath as blood was drawn. It looked gross. The blood was not fully red like a healthy person. She was then handed the vial.
"We need to contact Sister Lillen." Chesmal then spoke. The other Yellow nodded and quickly left.
"We may not have the time." Alessia spoke with a frown as she left the private room with all the medicines. Putting the vial into an ice box before heading back out. "Can you write down his symptoms as I grab my books?" Alessia asked. Chesmal nodded her head as she began. Alessia quickly left to grab her books. Seeing Liandrin was no longer in her room but watching the other Accepteds getting a lesson on a weave. Alessia frowned as she was missing out but knew the man needed her help.
"Everything alright?" Liandrin's voice came as Alessia was nearly running back.
"No. The man has a spider bite." Alessia spoke. Seeing the red nod her head and stayed back to watch. Alessia went back to the room and grabbed the vial to look at it.
"I'm afraid Sister Lillen is not coming. Lews said he needs her to stay put." The other Yellow spoke. Everyone frowned at this. They had gotten word back quickly. She looked at the vial and sighed. Feeling like she failed.
"He managed to say black." Chesmal spoke.
"Black? The spider was black?" Alessia asked the woman as she nodded her head. "There are thousands of black spiders!" Alessia frowned. She really needed Lillen and felt her heart squeeze at this. She looked through her book and frowned. She was given a list of symptoms from the man.
"Is there medicine for each one?" Alessia asked while looking at Chesmal.
"Yes but they need to be attacked at the same time." Chesmal replied. Alessia frowned while looking at the vial. She was channeling around the tiny vial. Then she felt something. Raising a brow as she focused more and gasped. Looking up.
"I have an idea!" She spoke while showing Chesmal the vial. The blood was separated from a foreign liquid.
"It's experimental. We are not allowed to do any without a scientist ajah in the room." Chesmal spoke with a frown.
"If we wait any longer, he is going to die." Alessia spoke with a frown.
"Do this, we can face serious consequences." Chesmal spoke.
"Is there any science ajah in the Tower?" Alessia asked.
"Perhaps mother would make an exception since the man's life is on the line?" Liandrin's voice made them all look at her. Chesmal was in deep thought and sighed.
"It could take us days to get it all out." The healer ajah spoke.
"It'll give him more time to hold on until then." Alessia spoke. There was silence now. They were deciding the man's fate over a law. A law she knew all too well.
"I'll take the punishment. For now, we need to save this man's life." Alessia spoke. Chesmal nodded her head and began making small incisions all over. Not enough to bleed from them but enough to extract what they needed to.
"This has never been done before Alessia. If this works." Chesmal began.
"Let us worry about the after when the time comes, Chesmal Sedai." Alessia spoke with a frown. Seeing the woman nod her head as the other Yellow sister came to help. Alessia rolled up her sleeves and began to channel on the incision near his heart. Slowly feeling the blood in his veins as she felt the foreign liquid. There was a small amount and a lot of body to cover. Slowly leading it away and out of the opened area. She moved the liquid into a tray near her as she went back. Feeling all of her focus now on the man as she went back to work. Slowly searching his body for the poison.
"This is going to be a long night. Go get some rest Sister Liandrin. I know you are worried but we can handle this." Chesmal spoke. Alessia could feel a hand on her back before feeling the presence leave.

Late morning had come as Alessia was still wide awake. She needed to be. The man's life was still in the balance. She mumbled a little under her breath as Chesmal came back. She felt her own energy almost completely drained from working all night.
"Get some rest dear. You've been at it all night." The Yellow ajah spoke. Alessia shook her head at this.
"I can't. Not when we are almost done." Alessia spoke. They had gotten over half of the man's body as his breathing was now normal. She could not find any more of the poison as she let her weave fall. Watching the man's skin go back to normal. She weaved the poison and placed it into a vial. Making sure she had gotten it all. Feeling a hand over hers as Chesmal took the vial.
"We will get this to Sister Lillen. In the meantime. You need to rest." Chesmal spoke while giving her a stern look.
"I can't just sit and sleep without knowing our results." Alessia spoke with a frown. They had experimented on him without his consent. His skin had returned to normal while watching him. It seemed the effect was slowly taking place.
"We will keep an eye on him." Chesmal added. Alessia was being stubborn. Hearing the door opened as Liandrin was standing in it. It seemed she was woken up from her sleep.
"Sister Liandrin as you requested, Sister Chesmal." The woman spoke. Alessia looked at the healer who nodded her head. Liandrin was still in her gown. She looked upset.
"I knew you were going to be stubborn so I sent Sister Ryma to get Liandrin. Light knows you only listen to her." Chesmal spoke. Alessia felt defeated. Glaring at the healer who only laughed lightly at her. Feeling her arm grabbed as she was pulled away from the room. She sighed softly and began to follow Liandrin. As if she was in a trance. Feeling a hand on her lower back as she was guided away. Following Liandrin into her room as Alessia walked over to the bed and sat down. Taking off her boots before looking up and saw the woman in red with her arms crossed. She frowned.
"You are so stubborn." Liandrin spoke in a firm voice.
"I know. I am sorry. I didn't want to leave until I knew he was going to be alright." Alessia spoke with a frown.
"Not only that, you broke the law and experimented on him." Liandrin added. Alessia looked down and nodded her head lightly.
"I will accept any punishments." She spoke softly. Feeling a hand grab her chin to make her lock eyes with the light blue ones.
"Because of your quick thinking and actions, you saved his life. That is what the Yellow Ajah stands for. What an Aes Sedai stands for." Liandrin then added. Alessia felt her eyes watered before rubbing her own face to get rid of it. Feeling the bed shift on the other side as Liandrin laid back down. Alessia laid down with her and in her arms. This was the first night since her Name Day that she shared a bed with someone. She fell instantly asleep in the red ajah's arms.

She felt the sun's rays on her face as she frowned. She was still exhausted. She sat up only to see that Liandrin was standing by the patio door, looking outside.
"It's morning already?" Alessia asked as Liandrin looked at her and smiled.
"It's noon. I wanted you to sleep in. You needed the rest." Liandrin spoke softly. Alessia felt her stomach growl. Hearing a soft chuckle as the older woman moved to the side to where her table was. There was lunch there. Alessia sat up to get out of bed and looked down. She was not wearing her Accepted dress like when she went to bed. Instead, she was wearing a gown that did not belong to her. Looking at Liandrin with a questioning look. Seeing only a smile as she got up and walked over to the table. Taking a seat as she began to eat. It was a little bit of turkey and some bread. She didn't care. She enjoyed her lunch.
"I remember going to sleep in my dress." Alessia spoke as she started the conversation.
"I know. I changed you when you were out cold. Those dresses are not comfortable." Liandrin replied as she began to eat her own lunch.
"I need to check up on him." Alessia spoke as the woman in red gave her a look.
"You still need rest. Your body can only take so much as well." The woman warned her.
"I know. I need to get used to taking on stress. I have to. If I want to become the best Aes Sedai that I can be." Alessia spoke. Feeling her hand taken and squeezed before a kiss. Alessia smiled softly at the older woman. She had grown closer to Liandrin in the last few weeks. Despite the small amount of time she spent with the woman. Wondering if the woman felt the same way. Her question was answered as Liandrin stood up and copped her face. Receiving a kiss that she had never gotten before. There was a hint of passion in it. Alessia couldn't help but smile into it before burying her face against the red ajah's chest. Feeling her back rubbed again.
"Come. After lunch we can go check up on him." Liandrin spoke. This gave her hope as she began to eat quickly. "Ah. Slow down." Liandrin spoke. Giving her another look. She nodded her head and drank her water to wash down the food. Once finished, a servant of the tower came to collect their dishes as Liandrin pulled out a clean Accepted dress as Alessia gave her a curious look.
"I have some of your clothes in here just in case." Liandrin spoke with a smirk. Alessia blushed and shook her head at this before taking the dress to change. She was putting her shoes on as Liandrin did her hair. She reached up to feel the braids done like the red ajah's and smiled.
"Thank you." Alessia spoke as the woman nodded. Taking Alessia's hand into her own and leading her out of the room. She followed in silence as Tarna had come up to them.
"Liandrin there is. Oh hey Alessia." Tarna spoke while spotting Alessia. She smiled and gave Tarna a bow.
"What is it, Tarna?" Liandrin asked.
"Sister Chesmal sent me to find you and Alessia. The man is awake." Tarna spoke. Alessia gasped at this. She hadn't expected him to be awake so soon! Her eyes met the light blues as Liandrin nodded.
"I heard what you did. I am shocked and proud of you." Tarna spoke while smiling at Alessia. She couldn't help but feel a small bit of pride as she took the lead back to the other side where they were last night.

She entered the room and sure enough, he was awake and speaking to Chesmal as she was writing down what he was saying.
"I am glad to see you awake sir." Alessia spoke as she walked up and gave the man a bow. He seemed to be in bright spirits today.
"You're the one who saved my life?" He asked.
"It was a group effort sir." Alessia replied with a small smile.
"Please excuse her modesty sir. She came up with the idea that saved your life." Chesmal spoke.
"Alessia right?" He asked as she nodded her head. "I am really grateful! You see, since my wife passed away, I have two children who are counting on me." He spoke while shaking her hand. Alessia could only smile and nod at him.
"Can you tell us what happened exactly?" Alessia asked. She wanted to take her own notes as well.
"Well you see. I was out getting dinner for the young ens' and meself. I remember feeling faint when I got back. My son was asking all kinds of questions and I could not really answer him. I took my shoes off and found this large black spider leaving my shoe." He spoke while raising his hand to make a size with his fingers. Alessia was writing down what he was saying.
"If you do not mind me asking, how did you not feel the spider in your shoe?" Tarna asked. Alessia was wondering this as well but was afraid to ask.
"I don't know. You see. I was in a hurry and guess for some reason, I ignored it. Seeing that nearly cost me my life." He spoke with a light chuckle. Alessia shook her head at this and sighed.
"Was the spider pure black or was there any other colors part of it? Was it a normal shape or had a specific look to it?" Alessia asked. She wanted to know what kind of spider it was.
"Yes. There was like a red hourglass on its lower half." He spoke. Alessia frowned at this. She had never heard of such a spider. "In fact, my son caught it and is keeping it in a jar." He added.
"Could your son bring me the spider?" Alessia asked. The man nodded. Alessia wrote down what the man spoke. She was hoping to see what the spider looked like. "In the meantime, how do you feel?" She asked as the man smiled.
"Like a hundred gold crowns!" He was smiling. Alessia chuckled.
"Do you mind?" She asked as he shook his head. His shirt was still off as she began to channel. Feeling around and smiled softly.
"Heartbeat rhythm is normal. Pulse is a little high but to be expected. No trace of the venom." Alessia spoke as she finished the examination.
"It seems it was successful." Chesmal spoke with a smile. Alessia sighed in relief. She was half expecting the man to not survive but he did. He had a reason to. She smiled and shook the man's hand as he got his shirt and shoes on before taking his leave. Once he was gone, that's when the talking happened.
"We will have to put this on record. A successful medical experiment." Chesmal spoke while smiling proudly. "I could have never thought about doing that. Perhaps you belong in Yellow." The healer spoke. Hearing Liandrin cough a little as everyone laughed lightly.

"If they science ajah hears the wind of what she did…" Tarna began to speak.
"You're right. What she did was unheard of and I am amazed it saved his life." Ryma spoke. Alessia was gathering up her notes and Chesmal gave her some as well that she took. It seemed he had given her more updates.
"I'm just glad he is alive." Alessia spoke softly. Feeling eyes all on her.
"Just like any healer would say." Chesmal spoke.
"I think Amyrlin needs to hear about this." Ryma spoke.
"Very well. Go let her know Sister Ryma." Chesmal spoke as the woman bowed and took her leave. Then Alessia sighed a little. Hoping her success would weigh out any punishments. Feeling a hand on her shoulder.
"Hey. You saved that man's life. He is grateful. Now. Time for you to join the others in class." Chesmal spoke as Alessia nodded her head. She put all her notes into her bag and bowed to the woman. "See you after classes dear!" The woman added as Alessia nodded before taking her leave from the room. The image of the spider in her mind that the man explained.

"I apologize for being late." Alessia spoke lightly as she set her bag down on the bench. They were outside working on weaves that Alanna was teaching.
"No worries dear! Chesmal Sedai told me this morning before class." Alanna spoke with a smile. Alessia returned the smile and looked over her shoulder. Liandrin nodded her head once before taking her leave. Alessia went back to focus on Alanna since she was teaching a weave.
"This is called Liquid manipulation. You can repel or attract liquids. Like so." She spoke as she explained. Pulling liquid from a nearby bucket through her weaves. Alessia smiled at this. She was watching the weaves carefully as the others began. She did as well. Water came to her with ease. She smiled as she was able to pull the weave off the first try. It did not take long for the other Accepteds to complete their weaves as well.
"Since you all were able to complete the weave. Let's learn a new one for a bonus!" Alanna spoke with a big smile. This had seemed to make the other students all happy and excited as they were basically bouncing about. Alanna set the bucket on the bench and smiled at them as they all gathered around closer in a circle. Alessia had her head tilted because she was curious. Hearing a soft crackling as they gasped. Seeing the water turned into ice before back to water.
"This is called making ice. A very simple weave of water and fire. Fire, I have no idea why but it works." Alanna spoke as the others were excited to get started. Alessia smiled at the cup she was given. Following Alanna's weave instructions as she began. She was very focused on it. Water she was able to grab easily from the moisture in the air. The fire however was a little harder to grab. She managed to find heat in the air nearby as she channeled the fire to her. Slowly allowing it to swirl around her arm as she weaved the elements together. Smiling as her cup was now frozen.
"Very good Alessia." Alanna spoke as Alessia smiled at the green ajah. It seemed the others were half and half. Some got it down as the others were struggling.
"How?" Alice asked while her face was very focused and frustrated.
"You are calling two elements at once to weave together." Alanna spoke. "Can anyone tell me why these two elements are hard together?" Alanna asked. No one spoke.
"Because they are the complete opposite of each." Alessia spoke up.
"That is correct. Opposite but very powerful if done correctly." Alanna spoke.
"So, are the opposite more likely to work against you?" Alessia asked.
"That is correct. If done incorrectly, it can be a most unpleasant feeling." Alanna warned them. Hearing a bell for dinner. Alessia looked up. They had been weaving for hours now. She pulled the bag over her shoulder and watched the others leave. Alanna placed a hand upon her shoulder.
"I wrote to Moiraine about your success with the man." Alanna spoke. Alessia frowned at this. She was hoping the word would not get out. Instead, it spread like wildfire already. Watching the green ajah take her leave.
"Are you Alessia?" A young boy's voice spoke. Alessia turned to see a young boy that was just a bit shorter than her. She nodded her head. "My father told me that you asked for this?" The boy handed her a jar. Alessia took it and smiled.
"Yes. Thank you. This will help a lot with my research." She smiled and gave the boy a bow as he was led away by a Gray sister. She lifted the jar and the spider. It had thin legs and it was a silky like black color. She could see the hourglass marking clear as day on the lower half.

She made her way to the library. Skipping dinner without realizing it. She smiled at the brow ajah she had come to know.
"Hello Alessia! What can I do for you?" Adeleas asked.
"I would like all the books on spiders that you have. That room as well." Alessia spoke while she pointed to a small private room.
"Of course dear. Go get settled and I shall bring the books to you." Adeleas spoke.
"Thank you, Adeleas Sedai." Alessia spoke with a bow. She walked into the room and weaved the candles lit. She left the lantern alone for now. Sitting down as the woman in brown brought back three smaller looking books.
"Is this all?" Alessia asked.
"I am so afraid. Good luck." She spoke. Watching the woman take her leave and close the door behind her. Alessia took a deep breath before sighing. She began writing down the symptoms on a piece of paper. Then, drawing what the spider looked like. Inside the jar had very tiny looking insects that the spider seemed to be feeding off of. There were also some leaves and sticks. Alessia took notes about what she knew about the spider, which was not much. She frowned as she began flipping through the books before pulling the other book from her bag along with the medical books Chesmal had given her. It seemed the spider was not on record. Lillen Sedai was not here to help. Wondering if the woman even knew about this spider. Or, was it a new species? Hearing a soft knock as she looked up. Seeing Liandrin enter with a plate of food and sat next to her.
"Any luck?" She asked as Alessia shook her head. "Anyways. I did not see you at dinner and sister Adeleas told me you were in here. Try not to stay up." Liandrin spoke. Alessia smiled and nodded her head at the woman in red. She stood up to leave before looking back at her. "The Amyrlin wishes to speak to you tomorrow once the science ajah returns." Liandrin added. She nodded and stood up. Walking over to the red ajah before hugging her tightly.
"Thank you." Alessia spoke. She received a kiss and returned it before going back to the books. Writing down any information she could gather from it. The vial of the poison was safely tucked away in her bag. Waiting to be discovered. Not knowing the candles were burning low as she was in the library for hours late into the night.
