Chapter Seventeen: Tea
It had been a few weeks since they arrived in Andor. Alessia was nose deep into the books that Verin Sedai had given her. Alanna had yet to arrive back to teach her new weaves. Alessia was frustrated as she still had dreamless nights. She could feel Lillen's anger through their bond. She pulled out her drawing book and began to draw a spider into her book. Remembering the spider Lillen had told her about. Hearing footsteps as she closed the book as Verin was smiling at her.
"Studying?" Verin asked as Alessia nodded her head. She was working on her Old Tongue with a little help from the city's Ogier when he would visit the library. She had read up on the former Dragon Reborns and how they either failed or succeeded.
"I see you are interested in the Dragon. Why not write an essay about them?" Verin asked as Alessia nodded her head lightly.
"The library doesn't have any other books about the Dragons." Alessia spoke as she packed up the book, her journal and her ink with quill.
"Yes, the Tower has more. I can head there tonight and grab a few and head back." Verin spoke as Alessia put the bag over her shoulder. She opened her mouth. "Ah. You are to stay here." Verin added as Alessia nodded her head with a frown. Watching the Brown ajah take the lead back to the house from the library as Alessia followed. Seeing the city running about while putting decorations up around as Alessia was watching them. Feeling her shoulder touched as she focused her attention back as she followed. The weather was warm again. Though, winter was just around the corner. She entered the house and heard voices chattering away with excitement.
"Alessia!" Alanna's voice shouted as Alessia jumped. Seeing the battle ajah as she smiled and went over to give the woman a hug.
"Hello Alanna Sedai." Alessia gave the woman in green a bow.
"I have a lesson I want to teach you." Alanna spoke as Alessia nodded and went to her room she was staying in. Seeing Moiraine was in there reading a scroll.
"Moiraine Sedai." Alessia spoke with a soft smile as she set her bag onto the table.
"Hello my little Dragon." Moiraine spoke softly while walking up to her to pull her into a hug. Alessia returned the hug before pulling her book out. "What does sister Verin have you studying now?" Moiraine asked.
"The former Dragon Reborns." Alessia replied. "She's going to the Tower to grab more books. I wanted to go with her." Alessia added.
"You know this by now." Moiraine warned her again. Alessia sighed a little and nodded her head. She felt her heart crush at this. Knowing full well that Lillen could feel her. Hoping she did. They haven't even seen each other. Then, she had an idea. She just needed to wait until the right time. Seeing that Moiraine had taken her leave from the room after reminding her about dinner. Alessia quickly pulled out some paper and began to write. Knowing her friends had not heard from her and were probably worried. She couldn't write to Alice because she knew Alice and Alanna were together and she would tell Alanna everything. Writing to Jane would also be too obvious. Tarna is her friend as well. Knowing full well Tarna would contact Liandrin as well. Then it was decided. She knew exactly who she needed to write to. She needed to play this carefully. Hearing her quill scratch the paper as she wrote. Once finished, she tied it with and tucked it into her belt. Pulling out fresh paper to start on part of her essay that Verin Sedai had given her.
Hearing a knock as she jumped.
"Alessia dear. Dinner is ready." Alanna's voice came. Alessia looked up and smiled. Putting her quill down as she stood up to follow Alanna out.
"Sorry, I was absorbed in my essay." Alessia spoke.
"No worries. Just help clean up afterwards." Alanna spoke as Alessia nodded her head. "Lesson will be after." Alanna added. Feeling her heart rate go up. She needed to figure out a way to delay the lesson since she needed to find a rider. Feeling a calming sensation, she sighed in relief. Lillen could still feel her. Placing a hand over her chest as she closed her eyes.
"You alright?" Moiraine asked as Alessia nodded her head as she left to the kitchen to help bring the food out. It seemed tonight they were having meat stew and bread. She was used to this. She smiled while setting the bowls down as Alanna brought a kettle out.
"More tea?" Verin asked.
"Of course! It's good for you!" Alanna smiled. Alessia raised a brow at her. She was now getting suspicious about this.
"I do have to ask as well. Can we have water?" Adeleas asked.
"No. We have plenty of tea. It's good for you." Alanna spoke. Alessia sat down in her seat as tea was poured into her cup. "Drink up!" Alanna spoke as she set the kettle down. Everyone took a drink as Alessia didn't.
"Alessia. Drink." Moiraine spoke as she nodded and grabbed her cup and pretended to drink it. Faking a gulp before setting her cup down and waiting for the others to begin to eat. She smiled and started to eat as well. Dipping her bread into the stew before eating it. It was not long when they had finished. She began to gather the dishes as Alanna stopped her. Picking up her cup and placing it into Alessia's hand. The others had taken their leave.
"Drink your tea." Alanna spoke. Alessia felt defeated and nodded her head as she did. "Good girl. Go get ready for your lesson." Alanna added.
"Don't worry dear. I can clean up here. You go ahead. Take this and deliver it for me?" Adeleas spoke. She took the letter and nodded her head. Bowing before taking her leave. This was her chance! She grabbed her cloak to put it on since it was a little cold outside now. Making her way down quickly as she felt her heart beating rather fast at the moment. Spotting a rider as she waved at him.
"What can I do for you?" He asked as he came up to her on his horse.
"Adeleas Sedai wishes for this to be delivered and." She began while quickly looking around to make sure she wasn't followed.
"And?" He asked.
"This letter as well. Quickly as possible." She spoke while handing him the letter she wrote from her belt.
"I can get these to the Tower tomorrow. Tonight is the fastest but it will cost you." He spoke.
"How much?" She asked.
"Ten marks." He spoke. She nodded her head and pulled out her coin purse. She frowned. She was low on funds. Just enough to pay him.
"Here you go. Thank you." She spoke as he nodded and pulled on the reins. Shouting as the horse galloped away. She sighed a little as she could feel the nervousness coming from herself.
"Alessia." Moiraine's voice made her jump.
"You scared me Moiraine Sedai!" Alessia spoke.
"What are you doing here?" Moiraine asked. She looked upset.
"Adeleas Sedai asked me to deliver her letter to him to the Tower." Alessia spoke.
"You should not be going anywhere alone. Come along. Alanna is looking for you." Moiraine spoke as Alessia nodded her head. Following the woman in blue.
Hoping the letters went to the right hands. She followed Moiraine in silence as the older woman guided her as her shoulders were wrapped by Moiraine. Heading outside of the gates of the city near the forest area.
"I wonder what lesson Alanna Sedai is going to teach me." Alessia spoke to break the silence. Seeing Moiraine did not speak. She frowned at this and looked back forward. Seeing Alanna and her two warders there smiling as they looked battle ready.
"Moiraine." Alessia spoke softly while looking at the woman in blue who then looked back at her. She was frowning at the older woman. She knew she was betraying Moiraine's trust by sending that letter. Feeling her cheeks cupped and forehead kissed by Moiraine. Now, she felt guilty. What if there was truly a reason Moiraine was keeping her from contacting her friends and what not?
"Goodluck Lessy." Moiraine whispered in her ear. She received a kiss on her cheek this time before watching the woman in blue take her leave to give them distance. Alessia gulped and looked back towards Alanna.
"This lesson. You just need to touch me." Alanna spoke as Alessia raised a brow at her. "Just my arm or shoulder." Alanna spoke and then smiled softly.
"Alright." Alessia spoke as she walked up to Alanna. Before she touched the woman's arm, Alanna smirked this time. She was thrown off her feet. Feeling her body roll a little as she grunted. Holding her side as she stood up. Looking at Alanna.
"I failed to mention that you have to go through my Warders first." Alanna spoke. This wasn't a normal lesson! She was battling her warders! Alessia stood up and rubbed her side. Keeping her eyes on both of the men.
"Alright." Alessia spoke as she began to channel. Feeling a rush of wind as she felt her feet slide as she went backwards. Alanna was channeling at her as well. She had no chance at this! She reflected Alanna's wind with her shield as she looked back. Her warders were gone. She gulped and looked around. Hearing a whistle of wind as she turned on her feet and ducked in time for her to swing her hand forward as she weaved air. Pushing him away from her then she felt a blow. Shouting while holding her arm. Grunting as she fell to her knees. She moved her arm forward and grunted again. Holding her arm.
"Stop!" Alanna shouted as Alessia dropped her weaves. The lesson did not even last long. She felt gentle hands touch her arm. Alessia let out a grunt.
"I think her arm is broken." Moiraine spoke as she put pressure on her left arm.
"Ouch!" Alessia cried out and moved from Moiraine only to be pulled back.
"I am sorry about that. Sometimes they forget their own strengths." Alanna spoke as she gently touched Alessia's arm. She let out a small soft hiss from the pain as she then felt a warm sensation as she closed her eyes. Letting out a sigh of relief as the pain had subsided. Feeling her back rubbed as Alessia looked up to see Moiraine giving her a worried look. Wrapping an arm around her shoulder.
"Let's call it for the night. We can try again tomorrow." Alanna spoke as everyone but Alessia nodded. She was then guided back to the city.
Tarna's POV
Humming softly while writing her letters by the candlelight as she sighed and rubbed her temples. Hearing a knock on her door. She got up to answer it. Seeing Liandrin standing there with a worried look on her face.
"Everything alright?" Tarna asked as Liandrin shook her head. She held the door open for the red to enter her room. Looking out into the hallway to see no one else before closing her door. Seeing Liandrin weave air around the door and her walls.
"Have you heard from Alessia?" Liandrin asked as she shook her head.
"I have not. I assume she is busy." Tarna replied. Liandrin started pacing. "I am sure she is alright. She's just with the Brown ajah doing her lessons." Tarna added.
"Then why hasn't she written yet? She is MY protege! I took her under my wing! I am supposed to be getting updates on her! I have gotten nothing so far!" Liandrin nearly shouted. Tarna frowned and touched her friend's arm gently.
"Maybe she's just busy with her studies?" She suggested.
"Too busy to write to those she cares about?" Linadrin asked with a frown.
"I do not know." Tarna spoke with a frown again. "To be truthful, I thought she would have written by now. If not to any of us, at least to Jane. Those two are best friends." Tarna spoke.
"I asked Jane. She has gotten nothing." Liandrin spoke as she took a seat. Tarna sighed a little at this.
"You miss her don't you?" Tarna asked as Liandrin looked at her with a nod. Looking at her hands into her lap now.
"Lillen can't find her. Even through the bond they created." Liandrin added.
"I thought they have to spend time together for it to grow like that?" Tarna asked.
"Yes, but she isn't dreaming." Liandrin added. Tarna raised a brow at this.
"That is a very unusual thing. Everyone dreams. To not have any dreams since she left is very concerning." Tarna added.
"That's what Lillen said." The older red ajah sighed with frustration. Knowing Lillen was the only Dreamwalker in the Tower and they were not to say anything about it. Tarna sat down as she watched Liandrin. She was not sure how to comfort this woman.
"I don't know what to say. All I know is that her lessons will not be forever. She has to come back to the Tower sooner or later." Tarna spoke. Seeing Liandrin nod her head.
"I know. I just wish I was getting updates. Alanna did not tell me anything when I asked her. Verin did not tell me anything either. I think they are hiding something." Liandrin spoke. Hearing a knock on the door. Tarna raised a brow before walking over to answer it. Seeing Lillen had let herself in.
"Come on in." Tarna spoke with a sigh as she recreated the weaves just in case.
"Anything?" Liandrin asked.
"No. She is training though." Lillen spoke quietly.
"How do you know?" Tarna asked.
"Her arm got broken today. I felt it." Lillen whispered as she sat down.
"I wonder what kind of lesson she had gotten for that to happen." Tarna asked as she crossed her arms and leaned against the post of her bed.
"What did Ishamael want when you both traveled to the meeting place?" Tarna asked in a whisper.
"Not here. Come." Liandrin spoke. Tarna raised a brow before nodding and followed. Grabbing her cloak as she followed the other two out. Hearing their heels click against the marble floor. Lillen was wearing boots that made no sound. It's how she was able to get around the Tower in silence.
"Going somewhere?" A voice made all three of them turn to look. There was a woman in blue watching them.
"Yes, we are heading out to get a drink. Care to join us?" Liandrin asked.
"No, thank you. Be sure to not take long. Big day tomorrow." The woman spoke.
"Of course sister Leane." Tarna spoke. Watching the woman in blue leave. Sighing a relief. Liandrin was always quick with her thinking. "Where are we going?" Tarna asked as they went down the stairs and turned into a hallway in the basement. Seeing a candle holder pulled as the window opened. Tarna was the last
"Where we won't be heard." Liandrin replied as she took the lead. Lillen was the last one following while looking around. Tarna was wondering if she was in thought or just looking around. What her friend saw in that woman, she had no idea. She followed Liandrin in silence as they made their way across the street into the nearby Tavern. There was music playing loudly, so they were definitely not going to be overheard.
"What can I get you, Aes Sedai?" A woman came up to take their orders.
"Just wine." Liandrin spoke as the woman nodded with a smile and took her leave.
"So, what happened?" Tarna then asked. Seeing the two look at each other before at her.
"There's rumor going around that more people are starting to believe the Dragon Reborn is back." Liandrin started. Tarna chuckled lightly.
"I don't think that is true." She spoke. Then she frowned. "What do you know?"
"Remember when a Trolloc attacked Alessia when she came to the camp?" Liandrin asked.
"Yes. She killed it with a wave of her hand." Tarna spoke.
"Trollocs hadn't been seen in thousands of years. Moiraine also said there was a Fate in the Two Rivers before that." Liandrin added.
"She had a Ter'angreal on her wrist that was told to never take it off." Lillen spoke softly.
"That could mean anything." Tarna spoke. She was skeptical about this.
"Why did Moiraine keep her locked up when she first arrived at the Tower? Why did Moiraine take her to Fal Dara?" Liandrin asked. "She helped finish off a Trolloc army and came back alive." Liandrin added.
"She wasn't ready when that happened." Tarna added. Then everything clicked in her mind. "You don't think it's Alessia, do you?" Tarna asked. The other two were silent at the moment. "If Alessia is the Dragon, wouldn't she have at least told you two?" Tarna then asked.
"We thought so as well. Unless Moiraine told her to not tell anyone." Lillen lightly spoke.
"Typical blue ajah!" Tarna sighed. "Why would Moiraine hide the Dragon if it's Alessia?" Tarna then asked.
"We do not know. It's not like she will be gentled. If anything, she wouldn't be allowed to leave the Tower." Liandrin added.
"She shouldn't be caged. If anything, she needs to be guided to reach her full potential." Tarna spoke. "If Moiraine is hiding Alessia as the Dragon, you know how angry the Tower is going to be." She added as the other two nodded.
"Question is, how do we get Alessia to tell us if she isn't writing to us?" Liandrin then added.
"Maybe she's afraid we will change how we see and feel about her?" Lillen then asked.
"Will it? If she is the Dragon?" Tarna asked, looking between the both of them.
"No. If anything, I want to protect her more myself." Liandrin added. "Could you imagine? If Alessia is the Dragon. She's our Dragon." Liandrin then added. Lillen actually smiled at this before taking her drink when they were served their wine.
"Until we know for sure. Let's speak to our Highest to see if she knows anything." Tarna added as she took a drink.
"I'll speak to sister Latra as well. See what she says." Lillen spoke as they all nodded.
"We should head back." Tarna spoke as she stood up and put her cloak back on.
"I agree." Liandrin spoke. Lillen nodded and grabbed her cloak. Tarna decided to take the lead this time. Heading back to the Tower.
"I'll speak to you both tomorrow after I speak to Latra." Lillen spoke before she took her leave. Watching the younger sister turn the corner.
"What does Alessia see in her?" Tarna asked as Liandrin shook her head.
"I do not know. I'm not to question what the heart wants." Liandrin replied.
"Tarna Sedai?" A voice spoke as Tarna looked at the man.
"It's very late for letters." Liandrin spoke.
"I know but the young lady paid for it to be delivered tonight." The man spoke as he handed her the letter. She raised a brow at Liandrin while opening the letter.
"It's from Alessia!" Tarna spoke as she handed Liandrin the letter attached to hers.
Dear Tarna Sedai,
I am writing to you because I know you will let Liandrin and Lillen know. I am doing well when it comes to my lessons. I am told to not be writing to you or anyone else. I am betraying Moiraine's trust in writing this letter to you. Will you please give Liandrin or Lillen the letter attached to yours? She needs to know my progress and what not. I hope you are doing well!
Your friend, Alessia.
"So, she isn't allowed to be writing to us." Tarna spoke with a frown as they made their way to the Red ajah floor. She was worried about this. Is was starting to confirm her suspension about almost everything they had just talked about.
"This doesn't make sense." Liandrin spoke after she read over Tarna's shoulder.
"What does your letter say?" Tarna asked.
My dearest Liandrin and Lillen,
I am writing to you knowing that I am betraying Moiraine's trust. Lillen, you cannot contact me because Alanna Sedai is making this tea that somehow causes me to have dreamless sleep. I am not sure how it works or why. I miss you both dearly. There is not a day that goes by where I am not thinking about you both. Lillen, I am not sure how your mark works but I did feel it the other day. My lessons are going well. The Brown ajah are keeping me busy with my classes here in Andor. I am not sure when I will be back at the Tower. I did ask Alanna to say hello to you both. The response I got, I assume she did not. Verin Sedai said she was going to the Tower to collect more books about the former Dragon Reborns. I am studying them. My lessons, I had one with Alanna Sedai and her Warders. One of them broke my arm. I am alright. Do not fret. Again, I was supposed to not write to you or anyone. I am in Andor in the house that the Tower owns for the Aes Sedai when they travel. I just. I miss you both. I hope you are both well.
All my love, Alessia.
"Something is up." Liandrin spoke with a frown.
"You better get that letter to Lillen." Tarna added as Liandrin nodded and turned her heels. She followed the younger Red as they made their way down the hallway towards the Science ajah floor. Seeing the light barely through the bottom of the door as Liandrin knocked on the door. There were very light footsteps as the door was opened.
"Sisters." Lillen spoke as she opened the door to let them in. They were hesitant before walking inside. This was the first time she had entered this room.
"I can see why Alessia takes refuge here." Tarna spoke with a small chuckle.
"What do you mean?" Liandrin asked while looking around.
"Why are you here?" Lillen asked as she was then handed the letter. Lillen was silent for a moment as she was reading it a few times. She frowned while looking up.
"She's not supposed to contact us. Why would she risk this?" Lillen asked.
"She loves you both." Tarna spoke while crossing her arms.
"I am still suspicious of what's going on." Liandrin added. "We should head over there and find out?" She asked.
"We cannot." Tarna spoke.
"Why?" Liandrin asked.
"You read the letter. She isn't supposed to be writing to us." Tarna replied.
"Suppose you are right." Liandrin sighed with a hint of frustration.
"I'll speak to Latra and ask her if she knows anything about this tea. In the meantime, get some rest." Lillen spoke. They nodded. Tarna was watching Lillen. There was a look on her face. Touching the shorter woman's shoulder as Lillen jumped a little.
"Are you alright?" She asked. Lillen nodded her head.
"I miss her. There is so much I want to teach her." Lillen spoke.
"I know. We all do." Liandrin spoke. "Come Tarna, we'll need to get up earlier to speak to Tsutama." Liandrin added. Seeing Lillen was still frowning. "Don't worry sister Lillen. We'll find out what's going on. We always do." Liandrin added. Seeing the younger sister nod her head as they took their leave. Tarna sighed a little while taking her cloak off and folded it over her arm as they headed back to their rooms.
End of POV
Hearing a knock on her door as she grumbled and sat up. Rubbing the sleep out of her eyes and yawning while stretching her arms. It had been days since she sent the letters and was wondering constantly if they had arrived.
"Alessia." Moiraine's voice came as she entered the room. "I am called to do a task. You are to not leave this house unless with one of my sisters." Moiraine spoke. Alessia nodded her head to show she understood. "I trust you." Moiraine spoke as she cupped Alessia's cheeks and kissed her forehead. Alessia frowned at this. The guilt was eating her alive. "What is it?" Moiraine asked.
"I betrayed your trust." Alessia spoke with a frown as she looked down.
"What do you mean?" Moiraine asked as she crossed her arms.
"I sent a letter." Alessia spoke softly.
"To whom?" Moiraine's voice was rising.
"Tarna Sedai." Alessia replied.
"The Red ajah?! Alessia!" Moiraine shouted. There was now anger in her voice. "You did one of the things I specifically asked you not to do!" Moiraine spoke. Hre voice was loud but it was calm.
"You said I could write to my friends! Then turn around and said I couldn't! Moiraine it's not up to you to tell me who I can and cannot speak to!" Alessia frowned again. Moraine sighed and rubbed her temples.
"I understand that. I know this. I am trying to protect you!" Moiraine spoke.
"From what? From who?" Alessia asked.
"From those who wish harm upon you." Moiraine replied.
"You think that my friends, Liandrin, and Lillen would bring harm to me?" Alessia asked. She crossed her arms this time.
"Did you tell her your identity?" Moiraine then asked.
"No." Alessia sighed and looked down.
"Are you lying to me?" Moiraine grabbed her chin to force her to look into the blue eyes.
"No. I did not tell." Alessia replied.
"Good. I forgive you. Only because you were honest with me." Moiraine sighed and dropped her hand. "Do not do it again." Moiraine spoke. Alessia nodded her head. Her eyes were threatening tears before looking away. Wiping her eyes. She then felt gentle strong arms pull her into a hug. She returned the hug tightly.
"I'm sorry." Alessia replied.
"I know. I just have to get used to the fact that Liandrin and Lillen are part of you." Moiraine spoke as she sat down on Alessia's bed.
"I love them, Moiraine. Just as I love my friends." Alessia spoke. Seeing the blue ajah nod her head and sighed again. There was so much sighing going on between the two of them.
"I have to go. Just. Please stay in the house, Lessy." Moiraine spoke. Alessia raised a brow at her. "What is it now?" Moiraine asked.
"You call me Lessy when you're not mad." Alessia spoke. Moiraine smiled and cupped her cheek again.
"Do not leave the house. Go study and write your essay." Moiraine spoke as Alessia nodded her head.
"Light be with you Moiraine." Alessia spoke. She stood up when Moiraine did and was given a hug. Watching the older woman take her leave as she grabbed her book. Knowing she wasn't allowed to leave the house, she took a spot in the sitting room. Opening the book she was given by Verin yesterday. Making herself comfortable.
"Alessia dear! I'm heading back to the Tower. We'll do your lesson tomorrow." Alanna's voice spoke as Alessia nodded her head.
"Where is Verin and Adeleas Sedai?" Alessia asked.
"City over. There was a dispute and they went to handle it. They will be back tomorrow. Be safe dear! Drink your tea!" Alanna shouted while walking up to Alessia and placed a cup into her hand. Knowing Alanna was not going to leave until she did so. Alessia drank the tea and handed the empty cup back. The green ajah smiled and patted her shoulder before taking her leave. Her warders both follow her.
She did not know how long she was out as she jumped. Looking around as it was a little dark in the house now. She sighed and weaved fire to light a few candles around her. Looking at her essay. It was ruined from her face. She stood up and walked into the kitchen and wet a cloth. Wiping her face before sitting back down as a door opened. She stood up and weaved. She was ready.
"Calm down dear. I mean no harm." A calm gentle voice spoke. A woman walked into the light with a smile. She had a kind and gentle face. Dark brown hair and light blue eyes. She was wearing all white and black pants.
"I've seen you before." Alessia spoke. The woman nodded her head with a smile. Taking the cloth from Alessia's hand and began to wipe her cheek. "You're the other Sitter of the Tower Hall." Alessia spoke.
"I am Latra Decume." The woman spoke.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Latra Sedai." Alessia spoke as she gave the woman a bow. "The others aren't here." Alessia spoke.
"That's alright. I am here for you actually." Latra spoke as Alessia raised a brow. "Sister Lillen received your letter." She spoke. Alessia let out a sigh of relief and smiled.
"That is good to hear! I'm so glad!" Alessia spoke.
"Ah yes. I was shocked to hear that you allowed Lillen to take you under her wing along with Liandrin. It is odd but curious." Latra spoke as Alessia only smiled. "Now. She mentioned there is tea that causes dreamless sleep?" Latra then asked. Alessia nodded and led the way to the kitchen.
"How is Lillen Sedai?" Alessia asked as she opened the cupboard and pulled out the herbs that Alanna was using.
"She's worried about you. Curious." Latra spoke as she took the herbs from her. Examining them.
"What do you mean?" Alessia asked.
"I have never seen these before. Also, Lillen has never cared about anyone before until you came. You do good for her. And for Liandrin." Latra spoke as she rested a hand upon Alessia's shoulder.
"I miss them both." Alessia sighed.
"I shall let them know. In the meantime. Keep your head down and stay out of trouble." Latra spoke as she handed Alessia the herbs back.
"Don't you need these?" Alessia asked. Latra shook her head.
"No dear. I have an eidetic and photographic memory. Which makes me perfect for the Science ajah." Latra spoke.
"Wow." Alessia spoke with a smile.
"I know. Once your training ends with the Browns and with Moiraine, I will petition to have you train under me next." Latra spoke.
"I would be honored, Latra Sedai." Alessia spoke as she gave the woman another bow.
"Now, I must head back. I will tell Lillen that you are alright. In the meantime." Latra warned her.
"Keep my head down and stay out of trouble." Alessia spoke.
"Good. I will see you again." Latra spoke as she touched Alessia's shoulder again before taking her leave. Alessia smiled as she went back to the table she was sitting at. Rewriting the essay that she had fallen asleep on. She felt better. Knowing Lillen and Liandrin had gotten her letter. She yawned again as she packed up her books and other things while heading back to her room she was staying in. Seeing a large black tarantula on the nightstand by her bed. She smiled and set her things down. Gently picked up the spider and smiled as it crawled halfway up her arm. It was watching her. She leaned back on her bed while watching the spider.
"Such a beautiful little thing." Alessia spoke. Seeing a small black smoke as the spider disappeared. Alessia gasped as she looked around. Wondering what that was about. Frowning before weaving the candles out and laying down. Knowing a dreamless sleep was going to meet her.
