Girl Power

The author and his now-frequent guest enter the realm as they see the unwanted visitor tampering with the speaker system before music started to play, and he grabbed the microphone. However, both the author and his frequent guest covered their ears quickly.

I'm just your sweet next-door neighbor

I do what I'm told

And I never cause any trouble

I'm so much more than meets the eye

But there's something that I keep hidden deep inside

Suddenly, power for the speaker system was cut, as in three familiar guests pulled the plug out of the outlet while the merc instantly noticed before tapping the microphone to hear no feedback.

"Hey! Why did you do that for?!" Deadpool demands.

"Clearly, we don't want to hear you sing." Wakko states as he pulled ear plugs out of his ears.

"Nor does the audience." Dot adds as she too removed her ear plugs.

"Now that's rude." Deadpool said in mock hurt.

"Just as it is rude of you to show up uninvited." Yakko said with a raised eyebrow.

"Pot calling the kettle black." Deadpool snarked.

"Actually, number boy and I welcomed them." guardian1989 said. "I even agreed that they can come on a frequent basis."

"Just as the author here said that I can make appearances in each chapter of this crossover." danifan3000 adds.

"Oh, and yet I'm given the boot, just like your other crossover that you've just created, right Destiny game player?" Deadpool asks with his arms crossed.

For his answer, Yakko pulled a familiar, non-lethal weapon before quickly aiming and squeezing the trigger, firing a sharp projectile at the annoying merc as he tensed up when the needle pierced him.

"D'oh!"

As always, Deadpool gets woozy before knocking out, snoring per usual routine before getting dropped into a moat. One would say same old story as everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

"Usual routine, isn't it?" danifan3000 asks.

"Yes, it is." guardian1989 said in response. "But it's something that I've adapted to."

As the Warners sat in front of the TV screen per usual, the host and the guest took their seats in front of the audience.

"My apologies for the unintentional delays, readers," guardian1989 assured. "But now, it's time for the chapter where the Bayville Sirens make their debut as well as the reveal of their sixth member."

"That's something I like to see." danifan3000 said with enthusiasm.

"Care to do the honors?" guardian1989 asks.

"Sure." danifan3000 said.

The lights flick off as the story continues with the new chapter.

One could say that it was an ordinary day in Bayville, but then again, the norm is nothing more than an understatement. Most of the students were in the living room watching the news; news of Danny's archenemy holding another one of his rallies while the mayor himself was making a speech.

"Damn. This guy sure loves being the center of attention, doesn't he?" Evan asks.

"What else is new?" Danny snarked.

Suddenly, they all heard an argument before they Scott following Jean and Amara. Speaking of which, today was Amara's first day of school at Bayville High after being enrolled into the school district; something that Tucker looked forward to. Especially since he would spend time with her whenever the opportunity arose. However, what the others were seeing was no ordinary squabble, especially with how fuming mad the redhead was.

"Jean, I said I was sorry."

"Scott!" Jean turned to him with a glare. "I was trying to teach Magma how to handle things that go wrong." she digs a finger into his chest. "Which does not include looking for a big, strong man to save you!"

As Jean and Amara walked away, Scott was just dumbfounded as everyone else stared at him.

"Damn, man. What did you do?" Danny asks with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, Jean was teaching Amara how to use her powers in the sub-levels when I went to go check." Scott explained in his defense. "I saw a big rock falling towards them and..."

Rogue interrupts him as she asks.

"Let meh guess, ya didn't bothah ta ask if she needed any help. Instead, ya just jumped to conclusions and played mistah macho, rahght?"

"Uh..." Scott paused while scratching the back of his head.

Rogue rolled her eyes before she snarked.

"No wondah you're in the dog house."

Snickers can be heard, directed at Scott's misfortune before Jack showed up and said.

"If you're all done, I suggest you get to school before you're all late."

The teens obliged without hesitation. None of them wanted to be late or receive a possible detention for being tardy.

At the Brotherhood boarding house, a certain blonde girl blew the knob of the bathroom door with an energy bomb before kicking it open. From the curtains, Todd sticks his head out as he shouts.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! I'm taking a shower here!"

"Yeah. The whole town's thrilled." Tabitha snarked as she walked to the sink. "I'm out of mouthwash."

As the blonde girl used the liquid and gargled it, Todd bemoaned as he watched.

"Damn, man. I take one shower a month, and still, I get no privacy!"

Once she spits out the liquid, Tabitha walks out of the bathroom as she says.

"Here. You dropped the soap."

By soap, Tabitha was metaphorically referring to the energy bomb she formed and threw into the tub as Todd watched in horror. He screamed before he was silenced by the explosion and the water flooding part of the hallway while the lanky boy yelled.

"Boom Boom!"

When she saw Fred while walking down the stairs, Tabitha comments with criticism.

"You know, Freddy, mohawks are so last century."

As Fred placed a hand on his head with a glare, Tabitha saw Lance in the kitchen looking to grab something from the fridge as she asked.

"Hey, Lance! Any gas in your jeep?"

"Yeah. Why?"

For his answer, Lance hears the engine revving up as he looks out the window to see the blonde girl stealing his vehicle and floors the gas pedal.

"Hey!"

At Bayville High, there was still time before class would officially start for the day. At an area, Tucker was rummaging through his locker to retrieve his textbooks necessary for his homeroom and first period class. However, someone familiar spotted him before sneaking up on him quietly.

As he was about to close his locker, Tucker's eyes and glasses were suddenly and gently covered by an individual's hands before he heard a feminine voice playfully asking.

"Guess who?"

The techno geek recognized that voice in an instant, or perhaps anywhere for that matter. He smiled before turning around to see the one girl he looked forward to seeing.

"Amara?!"

Amara smiled with a blush as she greeted.

"Hey, you."

In an instant, Tucker hugged her, causing the Nova Roma princess to blush up a storm before he released her hold.

"I can't believe you're here in Bayville High." he said with excitement.

"Yeah." Amara shyly glanced away. "I'm starting out as a freshman, but still. At least, I can see you here."

"Yeah. A bummer that we won't graduate together, but still, I agree on seeing you here and at the Institute." Tucker comments.

Then, the techno geek sees Amara's schedule as he offers.

"If you want, I can show you where your locker and your classes are."

"Aw, you're so sweet." Amara said with a smile.

Eventually, Tucker leads Amara to her locker and shows her how to input the combination before leading her to her first period class.

"Here is your first period class." Tucker shows the classroom. "I'll come by after class to show you where second period is."

"I like that." Amara said with a smile. "Bye, Tucker."

Tucker waved to her before leaving to get to his own class. Inside her class, Amara took a seat before getting her textbooks out of her backpack. However, she noticed a familiar blonde girl listening to loud music through her headphones before the girl noticed.

"Amara!" Tabitha greets.

"Hi, Tabitha." Amara greets back.

"Cool! We have first period together." Tabitha removes her headphones. "How's life with the geek squad?"

"Okay, I guess." Amara said in response. "I sort of messed up my training this morning. Jean's been pushing me a little too fast. Even though I tell her I'm not ready, she says..."

Tabitha rose an eyebrow before she asked

"You mean, miss Jean, yes, that's my real color?" she approaches Amara. "Forget her, Amara. You don't have to take any of that. I didn't."

"Well, not only that, but...there's this boy I'm starting to like and..."

That got Tabitha's attention as she quickly got close to the Nova Roma princess and said.

"Ooh! Details!"

Amara blushed for a bit before she hesitantly said.

"Well, this...boy I like..." she sees Tabitha nod. "His name is Tucker and..."

"Wait!" Tabitha holds up her hand. "You mean the tech-head?"

"Well..." Amara glanced away. "Yeah."

"Damn, girl." Tabitha said with an impressed tone. "Didn't know you nabbed him already."

"Well, he's not my boyfriend yet, but..." Amara hesitantly said.

Tabitha rolled her eyes with a friendly scoff before she said while applying nail polish.

"Girl, I think you're gonna need some RR. Like a good mall crawl." she glanced at Tabitha. "And perhaps a little makeover to fully nab the tech-head."

"Tabitha...!" Amara faux whined.

"Hey, come on. I see you like him, so I'm giving you a little help." Tabitha said. "How about you and me after school? We'll get in touch with our shallow, teenage values."

Amara couldn't help but smile before she said.

"Sounds like fun."

"All right!" Tabitha said with a fist pump.

"Damn. I didn't expect that you'd ship Tucker with Amara." danifan3000 comments.

"Well, I did give the first hint on chapter 11 after Tucker found that Risty was Mystique." guardian1989 said in response.

"When he began puking up a storm after finding out, especially on Sam's boots?" danifan3000 asks with a slight chuckle on the latter part.

"Yeah." the host replies. "And a more noticeable hint on chapter 15."

"Right." the guest said.

Hours have passed, and the bell rang, indicating the end of the school day. As all of the students were leaving the campus, Jean was looking around in search of Amara before she noticed Tucker leaving as well.

"Tucker?" she sees Tucker looking at her. "Have you seen Amara?"

"Not after I showed her where her sixth period class is." Tucker said truthfully.

As Tucker left, Jean pondered on Amara's whereabouts before she heard several explosions. Seeing trash cans exploding, the redhead sees Amara in the passenger's seat of a jeep with Tabitha behind the wheel as they were driving off.

"Oh, great!"

In an instant, Jean sees Scott as he calls to her.

"Scott! I need to borrow your car! Amara's with Boom Boom, and I've got to stop her before she does something stupid." Jean pleads.

"Uh, yeah." Scott takes the keys out of his pocket. "I'll go and get her." he sees Jean glaring at him. "Uh... I mean, not that you couldn't. Listen, about this morning. I'm sorry."

Jean sighed before she said.

"I know, I'm sorry for blowing up at you the way I did." she turns her back on him. "I'm just sick and tired of being treated like the weaker sex is all."

"Yeah. And about last month during Valentine's Day, I know that girls are supposed to ask guys out for the Sadie Hawkins dance." Scott comments. "So, if you want to release some tension, maybe..."

"It's okay, Scott." Jean said. "I'll just get the tickets for the Sadie Hawkins dance, and we'll call it even."

It was then that redhead picked up on her boyfriend's thoughts as she glared at him with suspicion.

"Unless someone purchased the tickets beforehand, without my knowledge?"

Seeing Scott glance away to avoid her gaze sealed her suspicion before Jean snatched the keys and drove off to follow Amara and Tabitha before she lost them. All the while, Scott was just dumbstruck as Jazz noticed.

"What'd you do this time?" she asks.

Meanwhile, Amara and Tabitha were crusing along before they witnessed two thugs carjacking an individual in front of them. Even one of them took a quick glance to blow a kiss aimed at the blonde before driving off.

"Whoa! Did you see that?!" Amara asks with worry.

"Did I!" Tabitha shifts the gear. "Hang on!"

The duo pursues the carjackers as Amara pleads to Tabitha to slow down.

"Forget that! This is way more fun than shopping for shoes!" The blonde shouts with excitement.

In another area, Jean was searching for Amara and Tabitha before she saw them pursuing the carjackers. The criminals were about to hit a woman and her daughter before the redhead stopped them with her telekinesis. After the mother and child got off the streets, the pursuit resumed as Jean followed them as well. The chase went through an alley before Tabitha instructed Amara to melt the tires.

The Nova Roma princess formed a magma ball before throwing to the rear tire on the right, causing the carjackers to lose control. Tabitha threw several energy bombs before the criminals stopped the vehicle and bailed out in the nick of time as the explosives detonated.

As Tabitha and Amara high-fived one another, the carjackers tried to flee only to be imprisoned by a stack of floating concrete blocks forming a sort of cell, courtesy of Jean when she caught up to them. After walking up to the two younger girls, Jean hears police sirens approaching as she said

"Let's let the police handle it from here."

The girls bailed out before the police could arrive.

At the Institute, Scott was making a sandwich in the kitchen as he heard and saw the news coverage of a carjacking being stopped by a small, mysterious group of good Samaritans and the suspects were part of a large car theft ring currently operating in Bayville.

Jean leans towards Amara before she whispers in her ear.

"Listen, I think we should keep this to ourselves, you know?"

"Right." Amara whispered back. "I mean, it's not like we'll be doing anything like that again."

"Exactly." Jean whispered in response.

"Besides that, Danny does go out on his ghost patrols at night." Amara whispered.

"Yeah, he does." Jean whispered in agreement. "But I don't know what the real reason is."

Scott couldn't help but notice how Jean and Amara reacted to the news coverage and how they were whispering to one another as they were leaving. However, the brunette boy was too late to realize that he was leaning too far forward on the chair as he fell down to the floor.

"So, when will the identity of the sixth siren be revealed?" danifan3000 asks with excitement.

"You and the readers will see soon enough, my friend." the host answers in assurance.

"That I'm looking forward to." the guest said in response.

Eventually, when their actions made the papers, the girl trio thought of doing it again on a nightly basis. However, they felt that they needed more individuals to be in on the action. They spotted Kitty at the mall before the petite brunette was recruited. Their trio became a group of four.

With Rogue, she was on the stairs at the music store lost in thought. She wasn't the school dance type of girl. That is until Danny came into her life. She was trying to find the right words to ask her boyfriend to the upcoming Sadie Hawkins dance, but it was rather difficult for her. Rogue wondered if what she was going through now was similar to what Danny felt when he tried to work up the nerve to ask her out on their first date.

Suddenly, her thoughts were interrupted when she saw Jean, Kitty, Amara, and Tabitha surrounding her. After they recruited the goth, the group became a team of five.

All of the girls don leather outfits that bore their midriff, gloves, boots, and sunglasses to conceal their eyes and be unrecognizable. They even gave name for their group: the Bayville Sirens. On a nightly basis, the group would put a stop to crime, ranging from purse snatchers to car jackers.

There was only one thing that they were afraid of.

At the Institute, the girls were walking through the halls to get to their rooms. They were in their regular clothes, and their Sirens outfits were safely in bags.

"Damn. What a rush!" Kitty said.

"Yeah. No kidding." Amara states in agreement.

"Sometahmes, Ah wondah if Danny feels the same way when he goes out on his ghost patrols." Rogue comments.

"Yeah, but we need to be careful." Jean said with concern. "The last thing we need is us running into him."

Suddenly, they hear the voice of a pre-teen ghost girl, nearly startling them.

"What are you girls talking about, and why don't you want to run into my brother?"

They turn around to see Dani standing there with her arms crossed. It was then she noticed the bags the older girls were carrying as her curiosity piqued.

"What's with the bags?"

The girls noticed that they were carrying their bags, quite noticeably before they hid them behind their backs with a sheepish grin. However, Dani didn't buy it as she raised her eyebrow.

"Well...?"

It was time to come clean before Jean suggested.

"Uh... maybe we better go in your room, Dani, so we can explain it."

The ghost girl just shrugged before she led the older girls to her room as they entered before closing the door and locking it.

"So, start talking." Dani said. "What's going on, and why don't you want to run into my brother when he's on patrol?"

"Look, if we tell you, you promise to keep quiet." Jean asks.

"Pinky promise," Dani said while holding up her pinky.

"Okay." Jean said as Dani lowered her hand. "Here's the thing..." she paused for a second. "We're the Bayville Sirens."

Danielle gasped dramatically before she kept calm and said with excitement.

"No...! Way! That is so cool!"

"Yeah, it is, but please. You can't tell anyone about this. Not even your brother understood?" Jean asks.

"I'll keep quiet." Dani adopts a mischievous grin. "For a price."

The older girls let out an exasperated sigh, caught off-guard that there was a catch to the ghost pre-teen girl's silence as Jean suggested.

"Okay, if you keep quiet, we'll get snacks for you for three... No. Six months. Best offer."

"Six months' worth of munchies?" Dani pondered. "Tempting, but I have a better idea."

"Like what?" Kitty asks with worry.

"Well, this little, ragtag group you got going, I want in." Dani said.

There was a small uproar of denial, as Jean said

"You can't be serious. You're too young, Dani."

Dani shrugged her shoulders before she said.

"No problem." Dani stands to walk in a circle around the other girls. "But if..." she raised her hand. "God forbid someone should... I don't know..." she leans against a wall, crossing her arms. '"Squeal to the grown-ups about the Bayville Sirens?"

Fear hit the four hard as they looked at the girl, completely appalled, that she was actually using blackmail against them.

"You wouldn't!" Amara said.

Dani gave her a look that said "try me" in response.

"She would." Rogue said.

With no way out of this, they had no choice but to concead as Jean said.

"Okay, fine. You're in."

Amara looked away subtly as she whispered.

"Snitch."

It was then that Kitty spoke up.

"Since you're on the team now, you're gonna, like, totally need the gear."

"The gear...?" Dani asked, completely confused.

The older girls saw that the pre-teen was confused about what Kitty meant before they all looked at one another and said in unison.

"Shopping trip."

They grabbed Dani by her arms before they litterally pulled her as she yelped

"Gah!"

Half an hour later, they were all at the mall. Tabitha was with them and up to speed on Dani's discovery and willing to snitch on them if she wasn't part of the group. The blonde was impressed that the pre-teen was willing to use blackmail on them.

Eventually, Dani stepped out of the changing room for the older girls to see her donning a black halter midriff tank top, pants, biker boots that were her size, a black leather crop jacket that remained unzipped and black fingerless gloves. Her hair was done in a single braid, and she wore sunglasses like the others. One would say that she looked a little bit like Trinity from the Matrix movies.

"So, what do you think?" Dani asks.

The girls gave her a thumbs up as they said in unison

"Cool."

"I guess that makes me the sixth ranger of the group, doesn't it?" Dani comments with a shrug.

She sees the girls look at her with confusion as Dani sees it instantly.

"What? I watch Power Ramgers on Saturday mornings."

In an instant, the girls burst into laughter, now understanding her comment as Tabitha ruffled Dani's hair.

"I like you, kid. You got grit and a sense of humor."

After a few days, the news media coverage reported that the crime rate in Bayville has been cut in half, due to the heroics of the Bayville Sirens, whom all of the citizens saw them as a mysterious group of female crime fighters. Then, the coverage shows the police chief and various reporters in front of the police station as one of the reporters asked for any clues of the identities of the Sirens.

"Not yet, but whoever they may be, we have no choice but to put a stop to their vigilante activities." Chief Rothman stated.

Scott was watching the news, and he didn't like this, not one bit.

He wasn't the only one who didn't like the news.

In her house, Paulina stared at the TV in her room with rage before she threw the remote into the screen, leaving it a shattered mess of glass.

"Who do those bitches think they are, stealing my ghost boy's thunder?!" she demands to no one.

Also...

Vlad was in the mayor's office as he, too, was watching the news coverage with piqued interests as he stroked his cat, Maddie.

"Interesting report, wouldn't you agree, Maddie?"

The cat just meows in response as the evil half-ghost gently puts his pet down.

"Yes, I think I should send a little spy to look further into this."

With that, Vlad transforms before taking off.

"So, Danielle is the sixth Bayville Siren?!" danifan3000 asks with surprise.

"Yeah." guardian1989 simply replies. "I did have reviewers guessing that the sixth member was either Jazz or Sam."

"You don't say." danifan3000 took a sip of soda.

"Yeah. It would've happened if Jazz or Sam had mutant powers of their own." guardian1989 states.

"Similar to how Sam is codenamed Black Thorn in Number Boy's crossover of Danny and Kitty?" danifan3000 asks.

The host author nodded in response before his guest looked forward.

"Time to resume this chapter." danifan3000 said as he placed his finger on the light switch. "I'm stoked on how this will turn out, especially with Vlad sending his spy, whoever it is."

"You'll see." guardian1989 assured.

"By the way, I found it amusing how Danielle would snitch on them if they refused a spot for her, and nice use of references there." danifan3000 said

"Thanks."

It was a typical school day in Bayville High. The hallways buzzed with activity as always. However, students were having their attention by a group of five high school girls. As Scott closed his locker, he saw Jean, Amara, Kitty, Rogue, and Tabitha walking one another as if they formed a clique recently. However, he started to put two and two and with a slap of his hand to the forehead...

He realized that they were the Bayville Sirens all along. Suddenly, Scott looks around before grabbing Kurt, who was walking by, startling him in a process as the German boy yelped.

"I didn't do it!"

"Kurt, cancel your plans for tonight." Scott instructed. "We have a little secret mission to take care of." he remembers another thing. "Oh, and tell Danny I need to speak to him."

Kurt looks at Scott in confusion at this secret mission that the older boy mentioned and his need to see Danny.

-Later that evening-

At the Brotherhood house, the bathroom door was fully repaired with a new doorknob and lock. That is until Tabitha blew it up and kicked the door once again, especially since Todd was in there before walking in.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! Is nothing sacred?!"

"Don't get up!"

Tabitha used the mouth wash once again before gargling, swishing, and spitting out the liquid. As the blonde was walking out, she heard Todd yell.

"That's it! I'm buying you some mouthwash!"

Tabitha tossed another energy bomb into the bathroom, this time near the toilet. It detonated, flooding the hall with water once again as she was heading downstairs. Fred sees her as he said.

"I wanna talk to you!" he points to his bald head. "I woke up like this this morning!"

Tabitha smirked as she said.

"Gee, imagine that." she cupped her chin. "You know, I was wrong. You looked a lot better with the mohawk."

Once Tabitha reaches the jeep outside, she sees a chain tied to it. Rolling her eyes, she forms another bomb as she snarked loudly.

"Good thinking, Lance! Wouldn't want anyone to steal your ride!"

She blows up the chain and gets onboard. The explosion and the engine revving up made Lance do a spit take of his water. As the blonde drives off, he runs out shouting.

"Come back here, you klepto!"

"The least you could've done was put some gas in the tank!" Tabitha yells back before chuckling mischievously.

At the Xavier Institute, the girls were currently sneaking out. However, outside the walls, Scott, Kurt, and Danny were in the former's red sports car. Apparently, Danny was up to speed by Scott on who the Bayville Sirens really were and decided to help the boys out.

Especially since the ghost boy was informed that his girlfriend and younger sister were involved.

Right now, Kurt has spotted them leaving as he was using a pair of binoculars.

"Blue boy to Tracker One and Ghost Boy. Can you read me? The pigeons are leaving the roost!"

Scott and Danny give him a weirded out look, as the former said.

"Kurt, we're right here."

"And why are you talking like that?" Danny asks.

Instantly, Kurt gets into the car as he says in haste.

"Duck! They're coming this way!"

"Stay quiet!" Danny instructed.

The ghost boy placed his hands on Kurt and Scott's shoulders before turning themselves invisible.

The girls silently leave through the gate that was 30 feet away from the boys. As they walked on, Jean took a look to see a familiar red car and had a suspicious smirk before following them. Then, Tabitha arrives, honking the horn before being shushed by the other girls. After getting onboard the jeep, Tabitha drives off.

A few minutes later, Danny turns everyone visible as Scott turns on the ignition and drives off to follow them.

In the city, the girls were driving through the streets. Suddenly, Jean looks through a rear view mirror to see Scott's car behind them.

"Uh, ladies. We've got company."

"Not for long." Tabitha said while adjusting the gear shift.

The jeep picks up speed before Scott adjusts the gear shift of his own car and soon follows.

At a railroad, the train was going through as the jeep was approaching fast.

"Kitty! Phase us through!" Jean instructs.

"I'm on it!" Kitty said while rubbing her hands

The petite brunette grabs a hold of the side and concentrates hard on her powers. Suddenly, the jeep goes through the moving train to the other side. The girls cheered that they made it. Meanwhile, on the other side of the tracks, Scott sees it as well while Kurt starts to get worried

"Uh... Danny?" Kurt says with worry.

"I got it!"

Danny focuses his ghost powers as he turns the vehicle and everyone in it intangible before it, too, passes through the train. Once they get to the other side, Danny turns it off as the boys see the jeep, and Scott accelerates his car. It didn't take long for Jean to notice them.

"Hey, they're on our tail again!"

All of the passengers on the back seat look back. Rogue squints to see a familiar figure in the back of Scott's car before her eyes widen while she gasps.

"What is it?" Dani asks.

"Oh, shit! Danny's with 'em!" Rogue said to the girls.

"So, how are we going to lose them?!" Amara asked worriedly.

While the girls were worried, Danielle got an idea as she instructed Tabitha.

"Turn right! I have an idea!"

Tabitha shrugged before she made a right turn and sped up the vehicle. Scott made the same turn before driving through an alley towards another road. Suddenly, once they get to the other end, the older boy stops the car as traffic pass through where they were, causing the boys to look around.

"Where'd they go?" Kurt asks.

"I think I know why they turned this way." Scott said as he continued to watch other cars pass by.

"Damn it!" Danny shouts as he smacks the side of the car.

"Hey, watch the car!" Scott scolds.

"My bad." Danny said apologetically.

As the boys drove off, Scott said.

"We'll have to regroup and suit up."

"Yeah, and I need to pack some things from my parents' lab." Danny adds.

"What for?" Kurt asks.

"Call it a hunch, but I got a feeling that tonight, the girls are going to get more than what they bargained for." Danny said in response.

What the boys didn't realize was that they've been had.

In the same alley, at a dark, dead-end corridor, the jeep was parked there. The lights were off and invisible, courtesy of Dani's ghost powers. Once they heard Scott's car leave the area, Dani turned the vehicle, and everyone onboard visible as the girls cheered.

"We, like, finally lost them!" Kitty shouts.

Tabitha looked back at Dani as she said.

"Hey. Nice moves, kid."

Using the same dark corridor, the girls changed into their Bayville Sirens outfits as they were once more patrolling the streets.

"Good thang no one was there when weh changed." Rogue comments.

"Hey. At least, it was plenty dark, so we couldn't be seen." Amara comments in response.

Eventually, the girls see a carjacking in progress. The owner of the car was calling the police to report the carjack. However, he sees the jeep with familiar vigilantes that were making the news. However, he wasn't the only one who saw it.

High above the dark skies, Danny, in his Phantom-X persona, and carrying a duffle bag, witnessed the commotion that came from below. He pulls out a communication stick and speaks into it.

"Scott. I got a fix on the girls."

"Okay. Kurt and I will track your signal." Scott said through the device. "Follow them, but don't let them see you."

"Piece of cake." Danny snarked in a braggy tone before he turned invisible and followed the girls.

The chase leads the girls to a chop shop as they see one of the shutters close. After Tabitha parks the jeep at a hidden area, the girls sneak in quietly, thanks to Dani's use of her ghost powers. Outside, Danny lands in front before he sees Cyclops and Nightcrawler approaching in the X-Van before signaling to them his location.

"They're inside?" Scott asks.

"Yeah." Danny said. "I can get us in, quietly."

Kurt and Scott place a hand on Danny's shoulder before the ghost boy concentrates his intangibility to get them inside.

Inside, behind stacks of tires, the girls see thugs at work dismantling the stolen cars and keeping certain parts intact.

"They're tearing apart stolen cars for parts." Tabitha states.

"Then, this must be the base for the car-theft ring." Jean deduced.

Suddenly, they hear a male voice speak up from behind.

"Glad you can join the party, girls."

The sirens turn to see what appeared to be the leader of the ring with several thugs armed with blunt weapons. Eventually, they became surrounded as they realized that they walked right into a trap.

"You know, we've been expecting you." The boss steps forward. "You see, you sirens have been slowing down our business." he glaned at a few of his men. "And the boys are getting a tad... irritable about it."

Despite being outnumbered, the girls showed no fear or intimidation as Amara spoke up in a cocky attitude.

"Look, didn't your mother teach you not to pick on girls?"

"Oh yeah." the boss snarked. "Too bad, I never listened to her."

The girls get in fighting stance as Tabitha snarked.

"Oh yeah? Well, guess what, brain-dead? She was right, and here's why!"

With a jump and a hi-ya from the girls, a brawl broke out as the Sirens started to open up can of whoop-ass on the thugs. Some of them even used their mutant powers to get an edge.

Meanwhile, on a set of iron stairs , Scott, Kurt, and Danny watched the fight as the teleporter asked.

"Should we step in?"

"Nah." Scott said. "I think it's best if we let the girls handle this."

"Bets anyone?" Danny asks.

Back at the fight, a thug ambushed Rogue as he wrapped his arms around her from behind. However, the goth girl stomped on the thug's foot, making him release her as he screamed in pain before his lights were punched out.

"Only mah boyfriend can grab meh lahke that." Rogue grimaced at the unconscious thug.

"Damn, what a woman." Danny whispered in a low tone that neither Scott nor Kurt could hear.

Suddenly, Tabitha unleashed her energy bombs all around her. However, she caused spilled gasoline to ignite as a fire broke out. The boss was shocked beyond comprehension to see his thugs beaten, unconscious, and bound in chains. When he tried to flee, Dani simply stuck her foot as he tripped into the trunk of a nearby car.

"Oops." she simply snarked.

Amara lands on the trunk to close it, trapping him, cans of oil spilled as the liquid ignited when the flames touched it. However. before the blaze could reach the vehicle, Scott and Danny fired their optic blast and ghost ray to move it out of the fiery path.

"You didn't see anything." Danny said to Kurt.

While the girls put out the fires with extinguishers, Danny's ghost sense went off, as did Danielle's.

"What is it?" Scott asks.

"I think my hunch was correct, after all." Danny comments with worry.

With the girls...

"Whoa!" Tabitha comments. "That's creepy."

"Dani, what's wrong?" Jean asks.

"I think we bit off more than we can chew." Dani said nervously.

Suddenly, Skulker appeared right in front of the Sirens. It was Amara's and Tabitha's first time to see a ghost up close.

"Whoa! A real ghost?!" Amara asks in fright.

"So, there you all are." Skulker sees the Sirens. "You know, my employer has piqued interests in finding out about the lot of you."

Weaponry pops out of the hunter's cyber armor.

"A shame that you all won't talk without a little incentive."

Rogue tries to reach for something in her pocket before finding it empty as she lets out a light gasp.

"Damn! Of all the tahmes I don't got mah gun!"

Much to the girls' salvation and Skulker's chagrin, Danny spoke up.

"That can be easily remedied."

Skulker turns to see his usual prey as he asks in confusion.

"Ghost child?! What brings you here? I'm not hunting you this time."

Danny shrugged before he said in response while removing the duffle bag from his shoulder.

"Just doing a little delivery service for the Sirens." he tossed the bag towards the girls. "Catch!"

Jean used her telekinesis to catch the duffle before lowering it to their feet. Once it was unzipped, the girls saw a cache of weapons inside; weapons in the form of two Fenton Bazookas, a few Fenton wrist rays, and Rogue's sidearm. While the goth grabbed her usual weapon, the others immediately grabbed the other weapons. Dani was the only one who didn't need a weapon due to her ghost powers.

"Today's your lucky day, Skulker." Danny sees Skulker look at him. "Because it's not me that you have to worry about tonight."

The sounds of guns cocking were heard as the hunter turns to see the Bayville Sirens armed and aiming their weapons at him while Dani's fists glowed neon green. Fear gripped him hard as he saw that he was outnumbered six to one. Skulker could only whimper one word.

"Mommy..."

In an instant, a barrage of energy blasts not only destroyed Skulker's weaponry, but the girls were literally tearing apart the hunter's cyber armor into a pile of junk. It only took a few minutes until only the head remained as the faceplate popped open.

"That's the real Skulker?" Tabitha asks in confusion.

The other girls ignored the blonde girl's question as Kitty asked.

"Hey, you wouldn't happen to, like, have the thermos, would you?"

Danny pulls out the Fenton Thermos before taking aim.

"If you're making a soup out of that thing, that's so gross!" Amara said with disgust.

"It ain't what it's for." Rogue comments in response.

After Danny sucks in the ghost and the pile of scrapped cyber armor, he seals the cap before the entire group hears the sounds of firetruck and police car sirens approaching. They managed to evacuate the building after Jean left a note of the boss being in the trunk.

Eventually, all of them were outside as the girls removed their sunglasses and returned the weapons into the duffle bag.

"Hey, thanks for the assist." Tabitha said in gratitude to Danny. "I better get this jeep back before Lance goes ballistic!"

As Tabitha drove, the rest of the girls were about to get onboard the X-Van with Kurt before Rogue approached Danny as she asked

"Danny, can ya follow meh ta some place prahvate, so weh can talk?"

Danny was a bit surprised as he said.

"That's a coincidence. I was just about to ask you the same thing."

Rogue turns to the others and said.

"Ah'll catch up."

Once she took hold of Danny's hand, he turned them both invisible before the couple took to the air. They flew into the city before they landed on the rooftop of a skyscraper. As Danny turned him and Rogue visible, the ghost boy took a glance at the goth girl, checking her out.

"Damn. She looks hot in that-whoa! Focus, Fenton! Now is not the time to admire how... how sexy Rogue looks in those clothes. Damn it, Fenton! Focus!" he thought to himself.

"So, what is it you/ya wanna talk about?" they ask each other simultaneously.

"I'm sorry. Ladies first." Danny said.

"Look, sorry Ah didn't tell ya about this, especially if weh were hoggin' your turf." Rogue said apologetically. "And Ah'm sorry if Ah worried ya."

"Honestly, Rogue, that would be the least of my worries." Danny said.

Rogue picked up a subtle tone of regret in his voice as she asked.

"What do ya mean? Do ya... go out on your patrols for kicks or what?"

Danny sighed before he said.

"No, the reason is deeper than that. You remember Clockwork, right?" Danny sees Rogue nod. "Well, let's just say last year, he showed me how damaging one selfish act, like cheating on an important test, can be... and what it can lead to."

Rogue remained silent. She didn't expect to receive an answer like this as Danny continued.

"Not to mention dealing with an evil version of me, I still get nightmares from that incident."

Rogue was at a loss for words on Danny's reason for his ghost patrols. Then, she looks at Danny in the eyes as he said.

"So, I'm the last guy who should criticize you girls for doing what you did."

After Rogue snapped out of her thoughts, she said to him.

"Sugah, Ah'm so sorry. Ah had no idea that ya went through that."

"Don't worry about it." Danny said assuringly. "I learned that lesson long before moving here."

Rogue was silent for a minute and wanted to get her final question off her chest before she lost the courage and would most likely chicken out.

"There's just... one more question Ah need ta ask ya." she said with hesitation.

"Go ahead." Danny beckoned.

"That dance that's comin' up in two weeks, ya... wanna..." Rogue paused, feeling nervous.

Danny knew what his girlfriend was trying to do. In fact, he saw the same nervousness he experienced when the ghost boy worked the nerve to ask out Rogue. He smiled a small one as he said.

"Rogue, I wouldn't miss it." he sees Rogue look at him in the eyes. "Besides, I wouldn't want to go with anyone else, but you."

Rogue had a playful smirk, feeling relieved that he would go with her, and her only.

"How did Ah nab a great guy lahke ya?"

Danny rose an eyebrow as he, too, had a playful smirk. Soon, Rogue gently placed a hand on his chest as she said.

"Oh, yeah. Ah remembah."

The couple shared a kiss on the rooftop.

It was late at night. The group were able to sneak back into the Institute without alerting any of the adults. Even Danny and Rogue made it back 15 minutes later. In the kitchen, Scott was in his sleep wear as he grabbed a cookie out of the jar before Jean walked in, also in her sleep wear.

"Here." Scott breaks the last cookie in half. "You take half."

As the older boy grabbed a gallon of milk from the fridge, the redhead said.

"Scott, we know you were following us, and we know you brought Danny along with you." she sees Scott close the fridge door. "And... thanks for not coming to the rescue."

As Scott served two glasses of milk, Jean was curious as she asked.

"One thing bugs me though; how did Danny know that we would encounter a ghost back there?"

"He didn't." Scott said in response. "He had a hunch that there would be one, and it turns out he was correct."

"Still, none of us thought that Skulker would show up." Jean comments. "Remind me to thank him secretly for bringing some weapons."

"Will do." Scott said.

"Besides, I think we took whole girl power thing a little too far." Jean admits with a chuckle. "But it was a blast, though."

"I'll bet." Scott said as he hands Jean a glass of milk before serving himself.

"Though, I really don't know why Danny would go out on his ghost patrols on a nightly basis." Jean pondered.

"Somehow, I got a feeling that he has a reason that's deeper than what we can guess." Scott comments.

Jean nods in understanding.

"Well, it was nice to help people out with our powers." Jean admits. "I just hope that someday, we can do it out in the open... and be appreciated for it."

"Yeah." Scott said in response before he lifted his glass. "To someday."

Scott and Jean tapped their glasses in a cheers fashion.

And finished. Stay tuned for the next chapter where the sadie hawkins dance begins, and Kurt discovers a truth that will be the beginning of Xavier's dream coming to fruition.

The lights flicker as the frequent guest said to the host.

"Damn, that was a good chapter." danifan3000 admits.

"Thanks, I appreciate it." guardian1989 said.

"Me, too."

The host author and guest turned to see Deadpool as the former asked.

"How long were you there?"

"Long enough to see my boy sit on the sidelines." Deadpool said. "Come on, man! You should've given some action in this chapter!"

"Well, Rogue sat on the sidelines in chapter 19." danifan3000 states.

"So, for this chapter, it's Danny's turn." the author states.

Surprisingly, the merc nods in understanding as he said.

"Okay, fair enough." Deadpool turns around. "Well, I guess I'll catch you later."

Once Deadpool disappears, the host and the guest breathed a sigh of relief.

"That's the second time he left willingly." guardian1989 comments.

"That he did." danifan3000 said in response. "Well, I'll see you around as well."

"Yeah. See you in the next chapter." guardian1989 said

Once the guest leaves, the Warners leave as well.

"Well readers, I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. Farewell, for now."

The realm goes dark.

Jesse: That's an interesting proposition.

Khy Dragon: Yes. He'll make an appearance soon.

Guest (August, 10): I probably won't, but Danny did subtly mention Dark Danny to Rogue, referring him as his evil self.

DJ Rodriguez: Well, Danny's decision will have one side see it as cowardice, the other side will see it as, well, sacrilege. I'm just stating my opinion.

Dragonrule, NiteOwl18, Guest (July 22nd), Jebest4781: Thank you.

Fiction Realm: Yeah. Other readers made the same guess.
