Reaching Out, part 2
And so, the lights in the realm illuminate the dark area when the shutter doors open. Behind them revealed the host author accompanied by his usual guests as three of them zipped ahead of the others.
"Well, looks like we get to pick up whrere we left off in the previous chapter, right?" danifan3000 asks.
"Yes, we do." guardian1989 said in response.
"Good thing, too." Deadpool adds."I still hate the cliffhanger you left behind in the last chapter."
"Yes, a guest reviewer just posted that recently." the host author said after an exasperated sigh.
"The only thing I'm hoping is that when Danny reveals his secret to Valerie, she doesn't attack him." danifan3000 comments with worry.
"Oh, you'll see how Valerie will react when Danny reveals his secret to her and to Star." guardian1989 said in response.
Then, the group sees the food and beverages on the table as the host said
"Sorry that there aren't any chimichangas this time, Wade." guardian1989 said. "The restaurant ran out of them, so I got tacos for you, instead."
Deadpool shrugged as he said.
"Eh, it's cool. At least tacos are my second favorite food, anyway."
Once everyone grabs their share and take their seats, the host author opens his soda can before he says.
"Go for it, Wade."
"Let's begin the new chapter with more of DP shenanigans."
The lights turn off as the story continues.
Valerie and Star follow Kitty inside the Institute. For the two human girls, it was the second time that they've been inside the mansion. However, their second visit was not related to any festivities. This time, the brunette wanted to show her new friends a secret that was very big.
"So, the Institute houses mutants here, like you?" Star asks in curiosity as she looks around.
"Yes, but we, like, totally have humans living here, too." Kitty said.
"Really?" Star asked, completely intrigued.
"Yeah, and you two are, like not the first humans, to visit here on a frequent basis." Kitty said.
"So, those who are like you have powers, too?" Valerie asks.
"Yeah, but everyone else is totally different from mine." Kitty said.
"Different how?" Star asked.
Suddenly, the girls hear a snikt sound before they see a burly Canadian man walking towards a bowl of fruit with what looked like knives held in between the fingers of his fist. He pokes an apple before he saw Kitty with her guests before he walks away. However, the man said.
"Don't mind me. I'm just minding my own business."
Valerie and Star were stunned silent to see that Kitty was right about others having powers that different from hers. Then, the man glanced at Kitty and said.
"I hope you got a good explanation for this, half-pint."
"Uh..."
"Later. Besides, Chuck's expecting the three of ya upstairs."
Once the man was out of sight, Valerie looks at Kitty and asked.
"Uh, who was that?"
"Oh, that was Mr. Logan." Kitty said in response. "He can be a grumpy gus most of the time, but deep down, he's a big softy."
"I heard that!" they hear Logan say from a distance.
"How could he hear what you just said and why does he call you half-pint?" Star asked in curiosity.
"Well, Mr. Logan has ears like a wolf, and he, like calls me that because of my size." Kitty said. "Come on. Professor Xavier is, like expecting us."
The brunette leads the other two girls upstairs to Xavier's office. Once Kitty opens the door, Valerie and Star see the professor accompanied by two women. One of which that the human girls were familiar with.
"Mrs. Fenton?!" Valerie and Star said simultaneously in curiosity.
Ororo glanced at Maddie as she asked.
"Do they know you?"
"Well, remember of what I told you of Jack's and my reputation back in Amity Park?" Maddie asked in response.
Ororo nodded before they heard Star asked.
"You're...?"
"Oh no. I'm a human just like you two." Maddie said in response.
"Well, how is it that..." Valerie was about to ask.
It was then that Professor Xavier said, knowing what Valerie was about to ask.
"Well, as you already are aware, Kitty is a mutant, just like Ororo here." Professor Xavier gestures to said individual. "As for how, well, not everyone has the genes required to make a person a mutant."
"Really?" Star asked.
"Of course." Ororo said in response. "My sister Vivian didn't have it, but she did pass it on to my nephew, Evan."
Valerie and Star were stunned. They were shocked that they could have the gene and not be aware of it. Then, the door opens before everyone sees a blue ape-like creature in a lab coat step into the office before stopping when he sees new guests.
"I guess I missed the introductories."
Valerie and Star gasp that the creature talked. However, the latter gasped in recognition as she stepped forward curiously.
"Mr. McCoy...?"
"Wow. Looks like Star has met her former chemistry teacher again." Deadpool noted.
"Yeah. Basically, when Hank mutated into his permanent new form, no one knew what became of him in the series." guardian1989 saif in response.
"I think they'll be even more shocked when Danny reveals his secret to them." danifan3000 said. "I just hope Valerie would be in a listening mood."
"You'll just have to wait and see, just like the rest of the readers." the host said.
"True that, PlayStation boy." Deadpool said. "Let's get back to the chapter."
Hank simply nodded as he said.
"Yes, Ms. Strong. In the flesh, so to speak."
Valerie stepped forth as she asked in shock.
"What's... happened to you?"
"Well, Ms. Gray, using science for selfish reasons can lead to consequences like this." Hank gestured himself as an example. "Especially when I tried to keep my own mutantion suppressed."
Both girls felt sorry for what had happened to him. To think that Hank McCoy was once human and is now stuck in his new form permanently. However, neither of them were disgusted or afraid. Soon, Valerie and Star faced the professor once more as the former spoke up first.
"Mr. Xavier, I promise that I won't tell anyone about this place."
Star stepped up as she said.
"I won't tell anyone, either."
The bald telepath smiled before he said.
"I trust both of your words."
Kitty beamed with joy before she said while grabbing Valerie and Star's hands.
"Like, come on! I want to show you two around."
As Kitty phased Valerie and Star through the wall to eagerly give them a tour of the Institute, Professor Xavier smiled as he said.
"Well, it looks like we'll be having two more visitors dropping by now and again."
"Indeed, professor." Ororo said in agreement. "I have no doubt Kitty would want them around for sleepovers."
Maddie chuckled at that remark, as did the professor. The adults had a feeling that an event like this would happen soon.
Downstairs, Kitty led Valerie and Star to the rec room as she gave them a tour of the mansion and introduced the other students who lived in the mansion. However, the brunette did not show them the lower levels where the Cerebro room, the Fentons' lab, the Danger Room, and the hangar bay were located, but she did gave some details of what the mansion had down below.
Eventually, they saw that the rec room wasn't empty. The three girls saw Danny shooting pool with Rogue, with the latter winning as she was aiming for the 8-ball. Then, Rogue sees Danny looking behind her before she looks in the same direction. To say the least, the ghost boy was just as shocked to see Valerie and Star in the Institute as they were of him.
"Valerie? Star? What are you guys doing here?" Danny asks in curiosity.
"We were just about to ask the same thing." Star said.
Danny sets his cue stick aside before Rogue followed suit as the two girls approached them.
"Well, I technically live here with my folks." he said.
Star saw Rogue before she said.
"I know you. You're the same girl who Paulina got in a spat with over her supposed relationship with Danny Phantom." Star used air quotes.
"Oh, ya mean the bimbo? Yeah. That shrahne she's got." Rogue shudders. "Sickenin'."
Danny was about to say something before Valerie beat him by asking.
"So, Danny, you're a mutant, too?"
"Well..." Danny sratched the back of his head. "It's more... complicated than that. It's a long story, so it's better if I show you." Danny looks at Valerie. "And Valerie, please don't freak out."
Valerie raised an eyebrow in confusion as she asked.
"Why would I freak out?"
For her answer, Danny transforms into his ghost form. For Rogue and Kitty, it was nothing new to them, for the obvious reasons. However, for Valerie and Star, this is the first time to see Danny do this. The entire time, they had no idea who Danny Phantom really was. Today, they just found out. Both of the girls were slack-jawed at the sight before watching Danny change back. Star was the first to snap back to reality, as she said.
"Well... uh..." Star was at a loss for words at first before she said with a small smile. "That explains a lot." she looks to Valerie. "What do you think, Val?"
They all see Valerie still stunned from what she recently witnessed. The entire time that she was hunting and fighting the ghost boy, the huntress didn't know that she was fighting her ex from the start. She remembers on Valentine's Day of last year when she told him that they could only be friends due to her ghost hunting life complicating their relationship. Now, she knew the real truth.
"Valerie, are you okay?" Star asked with worry.
Then, Valerie slightly got out of her shock before she slowly moved towards a nearby chair as she said.
"I need to... sit down."
Kitty had a knowing look as she said.
"Like, hang on, girl. I got you."
"Okay. I didn't expect Valerie to react that way." Deadpool said in slight surprise. "I was kind of expecting her to bust out her gear and go pew, pew, pew at our favorite hero." Deadpool makes laser gun gestures with his hands.
"Yeah. Same here." danifan3000 said in agreement. "Although, I can see her reacting that way since she and Danny did date once in the series, and Sam spied on them." he had a bitter tone in the latter part.
"Since they are in the Xavier Institute, I doubt Valerie would want to get sued from property damage." guardian1989 states. "Or rather, Damon end up getting sued since he's her father, technically.
"That's true." danifan3000 said with a nod.
"You couldn't be more right about that." the merc with a mouth stated.
The three turn back to the story.
Kitty phased through a wall to get to the kitchen before returning to the rec room after half a minute with a paper bag in her hand. After opening it and handing it to Valerie, the huntress snatched and started to take deep breaths into it.
Rogue rose an eyebrow before she asked Danny.
"Did Ah miss somethin'?"
"Remember what I told you about my past relationship after you and I became a couple?" Danny asked.
It took Rogue a second to understand before she nodded in oh, okay manner. After a few minutes, Valerie finally calmed down before she stood up and asked.
"Danny? Why didn't you say anything to me?"
Danny was nervous at first before he said.
"Well, first of all, that ghost dog back in Amity Park, I tried to send him back to the Ghost Zone, but he kept coming because he left his chew toy at Axion Labs. I didn't mean to get your dad fired as a result." he glanced nervously. "Furthermore, I didn't say anything because I didn't know how you would react to it when we dated once last year."
Valerie felt a pain of guilt hit her when Danny said that. The African girl remembered how her attitude was when she was with them. Valerie had a look of regret as she said.
"I understand, but in a way, I want to thank you for that."
Danny was confused as he asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Come again?"
"I mean, in a way, you showed me what the A-Listers were really about." Valerie said. "I regret being a part of their group, but more so, of how I treated you and everyone else." she looks away in regret. "So..." she looks at Danny in the eye. "I'm sorry."
Danny smiled as he said.
"Hey, it's cool. Besides, I should apologize for what happened."
Valerie waved her hand dismissively as she said.
"That's in the past now." she gets a competitive smirk. "Although, just because I'm not hunting you anymore, doesn't mean I won't try to outdo you in ghost hunting."
Danny adopted a competitive smirk of his own, as he said.
"Oh, I'm looking forward to it."
Rogue gently smacked Danny's chest as she said.
"Now you'll have backup when ya go on your ghost patrols at nahght." she looks at Valerie. "Ya have no idea how worried sick Ah get when heh goes alone."
Star blinked in confusion before she stepped forth and asked Danny while pointing at him.
"Wait, back up! With you being...?" she sees Danny nod before looking at Rogue. "And you're his...?" she sees Rogue nod while looping an arm around Danny's to provide an emphasis of being the halfa's girlfriend.
Star was silent at first, taking in the information that she witnessed. Suddenly, she burst into laughter while falling onto the floor and clutching her sides. They were all confused at first before Danny asked.
"Uh... Star? What gives?"
The blonde girl calmed down before she said between laughing fits.
"I'm sorry. It's just... you and her... being a couple. If the... truth gets out... Paulina... would... SHE'D BE CRYING HER EYES OUT!"
Star laughs once more. Rogue smirked before she said.
"Actually, it would beh amusin' ta see the bimbo doin' that."
Valerie and Kitty laughed along with Star as Danny chuckled as well. Suddenly, they heard footsteps before they stopped laughing and saw Danielle and Jamie at the entrance of the rec room, as the former asked.
"What's so funny?"
Valerie and Star were shocked to see this little 12-year-old girl looking exactly like Danny, but a girl version as the ghost boy said.
"Well, I think you'll be in for a bigger shock than what you two have seen."
Minutes later, Valerie and Star were more stunned if it were possible. After Danny told the two of his younger sister/clone's origin and who Bayville's current mayor really was, the huntress was the first to speak.
"So, Vlad Masters is half-ghost as well, huh?" she looks at Danielle before looking back at Danny. "I take it back, making you my prime target. The mayor has taken that spot."
"As much as I love to see you pummel him, we can't make a move yet." Danny warns. "I know that you promised the professor not to spill the beans about this place." he sees Valerie and Star nod. "I can't expose who he really is without exposing the truth about this place or myself."
Valerie and Star nod in understanding.
"We won't tell anyone." Valerie said.
Suddenly, Star remembers something as she said.
"Wait. I just remember something." she looks at Valerie. "Remember the Bayville Sirens?"
"Yeah, I remember them." Valerie said in rememberance.
Suddenly, they heard Kitty chuckle nervously before they glanced at her. Then, they see Rogue blushing as well as Danielle. Once more, the human girls went slack-jawed in shock before they slowly looked at one another. Then, after a moment of silence, they said to each other simultaneously.
"No... way!"
"Well, that went well." Deadpool states after eating another taco.
"Oh, I agree." danifan3000 said. "At least Valerie won't be hunting anymore, now that she knows the truth. Furthermore, two fewer bigots towards mutants."
"True." guardian1989 said. "Now, it's time for Scott and Jean to let in Paul and Taryn on the secrets."
"I wonder how this will turn out?" the guest author asked.
"Watch and see." the host author said.
Three days have passed since Valerie and Star were let in on the truth of the Xavier Institute. As they promised, they did not tell anyone about what they now know; the truth about the Institute and Danny's own secret. It was lunchtime in Bayville High. However, in one area of the hallway, there was an argument between a popular Latina and a certain blonde girl.
"Why did you keep skipping out on me?" Paulina demanded. "We were supposed to hang out at the new Nasty Burger since yesterday."
Recently, Star began to spend less time with Paulina ever since she and Valerie got to know Kitty better than before. It made the blonde girl realize that the brunette and the huntress treat her as a real friend instead of a satellite.
"Gee, I don't know. Maybe because I wanted to hang out with REAL friends, now!" Star snapped back. "Friends like Valerie and our new mutual friend, Kitty."
Paulina had a look of disgust as she asked
"You're hanging around with that loser? You know that violates out A-Lister norms."
Star had enough before she reached for something in her pocket. Suddenly, she threw it at Paulina, making the Latina flinch. Looking down, Paulina sees the cool kids membership cards on the floor.
"Screw the A-Listers!" Star said. "I quit."
The Latina looked at her former satellite with an appalled look before she heard Star say to her.
"I've had it with you and them! I'm no longer your satellite! Oh, and remember the whistle blower?" Star sees Paulina nod in confusion. "Well, I'm the one."
Paulina gasped in shock. She couldn't believe that Star would betray her and the group. Why? The Latina did not know. Soon, Star saw Kitty and Valerie before walking past Paulina to get to them. As the trio walked away, they heard the Latina say.
"Fine! Go ahead and be around with your new loser friends, traitor!"
Star simply smirked before she turned around and said.
"Yeah. I'll grow out of that eventually, but knowing you; you'll never stop being such a bitch. Good luck searching for your imaginary soul mate! Assuming that he's interested in you, that is!"
Paulina gasped, completely appalled as she watch Star walk away with Valerie and Kitty.
"Damn, girl. Couldn't have said it better, myself." Valerie complimented
"Like, ditto." Kitty said in agreement.
"If Paulina knew the real truth..." Star commented
The other two girls giggled, knowingly. However, they were interrupted when they heard a familiar whiny voice calling out.
"Valerie!"
The three sigh in annoyance, as they all said simultaneously.
"Not again.
However, a certain redhead intervened.
Nearby, Jean saw what was happening. She frowned as she focused her telepathy on Nathan.
"You don't need to chase Valerie anymore."
Suddenly, Nathan, with a confused expression, stopped running, much to the confusion of the other girls as he asked to no one.
"Why am I still chasing Valerie?"
"You should work on your social skills and be more open to others."
Nathan walks away as he says to himself.
"I need to get out more often. Work on my social skills."
As the nerd continued to walk away, Kitty subtly gestured to Valerie and Star that Jean was near them. When the redhead approached them, the two human girls were confused about Nathan's sudden attitude change.
"What was that all about?" Valerie asked.
"Let's just say that he won't be a bother to you again." Jean said.
"What did you do to him?" Star asked in curiosity.
"Let's just say I gave him a... mental suggestion." Jean said in response.
Valerie and Star were surprised as the blonde said.
"You didn't have to do that. My dad's a lawyer, and he can help Val with a restraining order."
"Girl, you know I can't afford that." Valerie said.
"Hey. My dad won't charge friends for help." Star said in response.
Kitty smiled as she said.
"Like, that won't be necessary."
"Kitty's right." Jean said. "That boy won't be bothering you ever again."
Valerie breathed a sigh of relief as she said.
"Wow. Having a friend like you does have its perks."
Suddenly, Jean noticed someone familiar before she said.
"Speaking of which. There's something that Scott and I need to take care of."
"Good luck, you two.' Star said.
Jean nodded in gratitude before catching up to Scott. The boy noticed her catching up to her before his girlfriend asked.
"Ready?"
"As ready as I'll ever be." Scott said in response.
Eventually, Scott caught up with Paul as Jean did with Taryn before the four of them met up in private at the amphitheater. After seeing that they were alone, Paul was the first to ask.
"So, what's up? What's going on?"
Scott scratched the back of his head. Normally, on a mission or a session in the Danger Room, he was fearless. However, this was new to him and his courage failed to appear for him.
"Well... I don't know where to begin." Scott paused for a minute before he said. "You see, Jean and I have a secret; one that we've been wanting to tell you for quite some time."
Taryn gasped in shock before she looked at Jean and said.
"Oh, God! You're not pregnant, are you?"
"What?! No!" Jean said in shock. "Not that. We're still 17."
The half-Japanese girl sighed in relief as she said.
"Oh. You had me worried there for a minute."
It was then that Scott said to their human friends.
"You see, it's something... different. Something that we've been wanting to tell you." he sees Paul and Taryn's look of confusion. "You see, Jean and I are mutants."
"Mutants?" Paul asked in confusion.
To demonstrate, Jean frowned as she concentrated on her telekinesis, moving a nearby portrait from the wall to the floor at her feet. Paul and Taryn were shocked, as the former said.
"Okay. That... has to be some sort of magic trick, right?"
"It isn't." Jean said in response. "You see, I'm a telekinetic. A real one."
Taryn glanced at Jean before looking at Scott.
"I'm guessing those sunglasses aren't just for show."
"No." Scott said. "With me, I can shoot energy from my eyes, powerful enough to blow a hole in a mountain."
"And you have those shades on at all times because..." Paul paused, putting two and two together.
"Yes because I can't turn it off." Scott points to his sunglasses. "If I wasn't wearing these, I'd have to keep my eyes shut, or I would blow something up."
Paul and Taryn were shocked at this revelation from their friends. After a minute of silence, the latrer spoke up as she points to Scott.
"So, you can shoot things from your eyes." Taryn points at Jean. "And you can move things with your mind."
"Well, I'm more than a telekinetic." Jean said. "I'm also a telepath. I can read minds."
Suddenly, Paul and Taryn heard Jean's voice in their heads.
"Or project my own thoughts into others."
"Whoa! Okay. Please, don't do that again!" Taryn took a deep breath. "Sorry about that. It's just kind of... invasive for me."
"I understand." Jean said compassionately. "It is invasive without warning a person, first. Trust me when I tell you, I don't like to pry into other people's minds. It's hard enough for me to shut them out."
Taryn rose an eyebrow as she asked.
"Shut them out?"
Jean nodded before she said.
"Imagine yourself in a room with multiple TVs and radios at high volume. Each of them featuring the inner thoughts of other people in bits and pieces." Jean sees Paul and Taryn nod. "Now imagine being trapped in that room with no way out, and the devices are on all the time."
Paul and Taryn were stunned as they felt like they had a lump in their throat.
"Yes. That's why I put up mental barriers in my mind." Jean explained. "Despite me getting bad headaches or migraines as a result, I need them up all the time. Otherwise, I would go insane from hearing voices in my head."
They didn't know what to think. Taryn was the one who was shocked the most. To think that Scott was forced to live that kind of handicap for the rest of his life, but also Jean constantly at risk of going insane as a cost of her own powers. They were worried; not for their well-being but for the well-being of their friends.
As Scott looked at the clock, he said.
"How about after school, you two can come visit the Institute?"
"You mean the same place where the Halloween party was held?" Taryn asked.
"The very same." Jean said. "Don't worry. We do have humans living there. Our classmate, Jazz, is one of them. We also get human visitors on a constant basis."
"She is?" Paul and Taryn ask simultaneously.
It was the end of the school day. Apparently, Jean informed Jazz of Paul and Taryn coming to visit. As a result, the Fenton girl relayed a message to her parents through her cell phone of new visitors. Right now, Scott, Jean, Paul, amd Taryn where in Scott's car as they drove up to the Institute. The two mutants informed their friends of the Institute, what was below the lower levels, and how it was like a sanctuary for mutants.
"So, this place is like a safe haven for people like you guys?" Paul asked as he and the others were entering the mansion.
"Yeah. Especially since some mutations are... physical." Scott said. "Remember Mr. McCoy?"
"He's here, too? I thought he disappeared or something." Taryn said.
"In a way, he did." Jean said. "When his body underwent a permanent change."
Paul was curious as he hesitantly asked.
"What does... Mr. McCoy look like now?"
"Kind of like a blue gorilla." Scott felt Jean elbow him in the ribs. "Ow! Come on, Jean! You got admit he does."
Suddenly, they hear a bang sound before Paul and Taryn see a twelve year old girl and a boy running down the stairs. Then, after seeing a bolt of lightning and a snowball sailing by, they see two older boys covered in flour from their heads down to their shoulders as they shout.
"Get back here!"
"Bobby! Ray!"
The two boys see Scott and Jean accompained by two people that they haven't seen before. They looked at them awkwardly, especially since they had their powers active.
"Okay. Seeing really is believing." Paul said in shock.
"Same here." Taryn said, equally shocked.
While Ray and Bobby looked like they were going to panic, Scott said to them.
"It's okay. They're guests."
"Yeah. We're letting them in on the secret of mutants." Jean said. "Just... get yourselves cleaned up."
Bobby and Ray breathed a sigh of relief before the latter said.
"Thanks for the scare. I thought we royally screwed up."
"What he said." Bobby commented.
While the two boys walked away, Jean noticed Taryn as she said.
"You okay?"
"I'll be okay. Once the shock wears off." Taryn said.
"Perhaps we should go upstairs to Professor Xavier's office." Scott suggested.
Eventually, the quartet walked up the stairs to the office. To say the least, Paul and Taryn were nervous, but they were shocked to see Jazz with her parents.
"Hey Paul. Taryn." Jazz greets before shr turns to Jack and Maddie. "Mom. Dad. This is Paul and Taryn. My classmates from Bayville High."
The adult Fentons stepped forth and shook their hands, as Jack said.
"Nice to meet the both of you."
Professor Xavier nodded before he said.
"This is quite a pleasant suprise, indeed."
"So, I assume that you were informed that my husband, my oldest daughter, and myself are humans." Maddie said.
"Yeah. Jean told us that." Paul said in response.
"I think I'm beginning to see why tgis is a big secret." Taryn commented before turning to Jean. "I'm just trying to figure out why you and Scott wanted to trust us with this now."
"Well, I sense that things are beginning to change." Professor Xavier said. "I'm well aware that you were informed that a few humans visit the Institute very often."
Paul and Taryn nod in response before Jack said.
"You see, my son was the first to know about mutants before the rest of us. As for what he and my youngest daughter are, it's a little... conplicated to explain."
"Jack is right." Maddie said. "However, Danny's friends knew what he was as well as knowing about this place, but never told anyone. Then, Kurt's girlfriend, Amanda, found out about him and kept quiet."
Paul and Taryn were silent but understood. Something like this becoming public knowledge would have some catastrophic results. For Taryn, she has a better understanding since she heard stories from her grandfather of how he and other Japanese people living in America after Pearl Harbor was attacked during the second world war.
After about an hour of talking, Professor Xavier felt that Paul and Taryn were trustworthy to keep their secret under wraps. Furthermore, he felt that this was a new beginning. A dawning of a new world. It gave him hope that the world could be ready to know the existence of mutants. All he could was take one small step at a time to make his dream of a peaceful coexistance between humanity and mutants. He just hoped that all humans would easily accept mutants.
After they were dismissed, the quartet saw Danny in the hallway as the ghost boy greeted.
"Hey guys."
He saw Paul and Taryn with Scott and Jean before he asked.
"I'm guessing they know about..."
"Yes, and they won't tell anyone." Jean said.
Paul looked at Danny hard bedore he said.
"You know. Now that I thought of it. Your name does sound similar to that Danny Phantom guy."
Suddenly, Paul felt like a bolt of lightning hit him before he gasped.
"No way! You're him! You're Danny Phantom!"
Danny chuckled nervously as he scratched the back of his head.
"Amazing!" Taryn said excitedly. "That reminds me. What about those Bayville Sirens? I've heard that they're an all-girl group who have powers as well."
Taryn noticed Jean blushing before she instantly put two and two together as she said in excitement.
"Are you serious?!"
Danny could only look on as he said.
"This is going to take some getting used to."
And done with this chapter. After real-life situations getring in the way, I'm glad I was able to get this chapter finished. Anyways, stay tuned for the next chapter where things begin to change further.
The lights flicker on, as Deadpool said as he stretched.
"Well, that went well."
"You can say that again, Wade." danifan3000 said. "I'm just surprised that Star's dad is a lawyer in this one."
"At least Valerie has Jean a friend now." guardian1989 said. "So, Nathan will be off Valerie's back on a permanent basis."
"Yeah. I'm glad for her." danifan3000 said.
"So, what will be the next chapter about?" Deadpool asks.
"Well, readers have been wondering when Vlad and Magneto will finally team up, so I'm aiming to do that." guardian1989 said. "Furthermore, I agree with Neomark's criticism about Phantom Planet. So, I'm going to set up events and mix up the order of the episodes from both series in the next chapters."
"Including where secrets are exposed?" the merc asks.
"Yeah."
"I just hope the bigotry won't be like in the comics." danifan3000 comments.
"You will know soon when I get to those events." the host author.
"Well then, I'll see you in the next chapter." danifan3000 said.
When the guest author leaves, the host stops the merc as he said.
"One moment, Wade."
"What's up?"
The host author takes out a package before handing it to the merc with a mouth as he said.
"I've managed to take the time to get you this."
"Aw, shucks. You didn't have to do that." Deadpool said.
The merc tears off the wrapping paper before opening the box inside to see a gauntlet with two blades attached to the top of it.
"A Predator gauntlet. Nice." he tries it on. "Looks like the real thing."
Deadpool examines the gauntlet as he focuses on the blades while clenching his fist.
"By the way, are these blades for show or..."
Suddenly, the blades extended with a loud snikt sound as Deadpool gasped dramatically while looking at the wrist blades.
"I am soaking wet right now."
"Plus..." guardian1989 detaches a device from the side of the gauntlet. "This laser will sharpen the blades, just like in the movie."
As guardian1989 reattached the laser, Deadpool said.
"Dude. This is the best gift a guy could have. Thanks."
"You're welcome." guardian1989 said.
As the merc left, the host author breathed a sigh before he said.
"What a way to end the year."
Soon, the host author turns to the readers as he was about to hit the switch.
"Til next time."
DJ Rodriguez: Yes, Maddie isn't intimidated by Logan. Also, Amanda is the first to accept mutants, but she won't be the last.
Khy Dragon: Almost, but not there, yet. I have plans in mind to mix up the episode order of both series, as I have recently stated.
Guest: Deadpool and I made peace with one another. And I hope this will fill in said cliffhanger.
NiteOwl18: Thanks.
KellBell35: Yes, but it worked out in the end for both parties.
alwynonlinereading: I hope this answers your question.
danifan3000: 1. I don't understand the dislike of the Animaniacs character, Baloney, either. I guess because it is a spoof of a toddler's show.

Jebest4781: Thanks.
Fiction Realm: You'll see.
