That day, the Ojamas did have to go to work for their King, so Chazz took care of the house whilst they were gone. He cleared up the spare clothes that were tossed around the house, he washed up the spare cups and plates. He dusted the surfaces, and mopped the floor.
As the Ojamas stated they were having a short shift today, Chazz took the opportunity to find some safe food to eat. He picked some editable mushroom and berries, and picked some green apples off a nearby tree. He found a garden patch they had, and pulled out some onions. He left the carrots as he didn't like carrots himself. He was able to make a meal with these ingredients, along with some bread and fresh apple juice.
It was the middle of the afternoon, and the Ojamas were on their way back home from work. Chazz exited the house to welcome them.
"Hope you guys are hungry, cause I made something for ya!" Chazz called. Excited, the Ojamas rushed into the home to see what Chazz had prepared.
It looked like he was able to make some vegetable soup, with fresh apple juice, spare berries on the side, and some bread to mix and match. The Ojamas were so excited to see this banquet, they rushed to the table to dig in. Chazz came in, and was able to get a spare spot to join them.
"Wow, Boss, this is so good!" Ojama Yellow munched on his bread. "Thanks for the meal!"
"No problem," Chazz sat proudly, eating a slice of bread.
"Now, this is a feast!" Ojama Black grinned, slurping the soup loudly.
"You didn't have to do this for us, Chazz," Ojama Blue stated, "but it was kind of you to do so."
"Meh," Ojama Red shrugged. "The chores seem passable. Ow!" he flinched as Ojama Green nudged him harshly.
"Can't wait for ya to be a King one day," Ojama Green grinned.
"Yeah, definitely!" Ojama Yellow grinned too. "You'd make a great King one day, Boss!"
"Thanks," Chazz smiled. "When the time comes, I'll try and be the best King I can be." The Ojamas cheered, knowing full well this will be a reality.
Meanwhile, back at the Palace, Queen Heza was ready to ask the question again. Even though she needn't ask, she loved hearing that she was the fairest of them all. So, she re-entered her secret room, and stood before her mirror. She then said the words:
"Magic Mirror,
You know what is true.
But the most beautiful person
Would be who?"
The mirror then changed Heza's reflection to portray the purple aura, and it spoke:
"You're the fairest round here,
That much is true…
But there is something
You ought to know too.
In a faraway house where
Five Ojamas dwell,
Chazz Princeton
Is alive and well.
I'm afraid, my Queen,
As far as the eye can see,
Chazz Princeton is still
More beautiful than thee."
Heza gasped with shock. The mirror doesn't lie, so what did she receive in that bag.
"But…" Heza hesitated. "...Chazz is dead, isn't he? The Huntsman brought me back his heart…I ate it, as well!" The mirror than spoke the truth:
"Chazz Princeton still lives,
The fairest in these lands…
'Twas the heart of a boar
You received in your hands."
Heza stared again in shock. The mirror changed back to her reflection as she stood with disgust.
"A...A boar?" Heza gasped. "...A heart of a BOAR?! How DARE he!"
Queen Heza was more furious than ever. Her thirst for vengeance grew more with her envy. Unfortunately, the Huntsman had run off after the job was done, which Heza now knew why. All afternoon, she wondered what to do to get rid of Chazz. She was convinced everyone would betray her, especially if they couldn't harm someone so fair...But then, she had another idea.
So, late that night, after the royal cooks went home, Heza sneaked into the Kitchen herself. She loaded a basket with the freshest fruits she could gather, and found a bright red apple. She took it, and looked around the kitchen to find the most poisonous ingredients she could find. Each one she found, Heza carefully put it in a bowl, turning it into a poisonous soup.
Once she was convinced this was enough, she dipped the apple in from a string attached to the core, and let the poisonous soup seep into the apple. After it seemed it was ready, she took it out, and left it aside for it to dry. She found some food colouring, so once it was dry and safe to touch, Heza painted the apple a blood red to disguise its poison. She smirked knowing this will get rid of Chazz once and for all.
The next morning, the Ojamas were getting ready to head back to the Kingdom to work for their King.
"Okay, Boss! We're going!" Ojama Yellow called once they were out the door.
"Don't forget to keep an eye out for that Queen!" Ojama Green stated.
"She's a witch! A master of disguise!" Ojama Black added.
"Don't let anyone inside the house," Ojama Blue stated.
"And no talkin' to strangers!" Ojama Red finished.
"Don't worry, I'll be fine!" Chazz stated by the door. "She doesn't know where I am! I'll be careful!"
"Alright! See ya later, Boss!" Ojama Yellow waved, and the Ojamas headed off to go to work.
It was the early afternoon when Chazz was busy wiping down the table after he finished his meal. He was almost done when he heard a knock at the door.
"Who is it?" Chazz called.
"Forgive me," a female voice called. "I am a merchant selling fresh goods. Would you be interested?"
"Sorry, but I can't let anyone in," Chazz called, and carried on wiping the table.
"Then how about you care to take a look?" the female voice called. "You needn't buy anything, but I'm sure something may interest you." Chazz looked at the door curiously. Even though he knew full well he shouldn't open the door, he decided a little peek wouldn't hurt. So he went ahead and opened the door.
Before him was a young woman with short curved blonde hair, wearing a black cloak, covering her eyes. She wore a beige dress, tied with a black corset. She also wore black gloves, and carried a basket of fruit.
"Greetings, sir," the woman curtsied. "My name is Kirumi. I'm selling some fresh goods to assist with your cooking. Would you care to take a look?" Chazz peered in to look at all the fresh fruits Kirumi had in her basket.
"They do look delicious," Chazz smiled. "...But I'm afraid I have no money."
"No worries, sir," Kirumi smiled. "Perhaps I can give you one fruit for free, and then I can come back tomorrow should you want more."
"Well, thank you," Chazz said flustered, but he saw the red apple sitting on top of the food. "Well...if you insist...can I have that apple? It looks tempting to eat."
"Of course," Kirumi took the apple out. "You can eat it now if you wish. I won't mind."
"Thank you," Chazz smiled, taking the apple. Kirumi smirked as she watched Chazz help himself, and took a bite out of the apple.
Chazz then jolted, and dropped the apple. He felt like he was choking on almost nothing. He tried to cough, but he couldn't breath. He then rolled his eyes, and passed out on the floor. Kirumi over looked at Chazz, laughing with victory.
"You fool!" Kirumi smirked. "That was TOO easy!" She then turned to walk away, taking off her hood and wig to reveal she was really Heza! "Now I can finally be the fairest in the land...Pleasant dreams, Chazz!" Heza carried on walking, laughing harder and louder as she was now out of sight.
