The Lull
Time 1:00 am
We previously saw that by this time, Abhijeet and team had found the body farm and reported back to their seniors. They had taken care to start the postmortem examination of the found bodies. Hence one of the three parts of Abhijeet's plan is a success. Now let's see what happens with the other two teams.
Venue : An abandoned construction site
Following that vehicle, Kavin and team reaches this abandoned site and they hide behind the logs and cement bags kept there to observe the scene. There were two goons in the mini lorry they had followed. These goons started going inside the building. Kavin and team followed silently. They reached a room where there were 3 teenage boys waiting for someone. Seeing the goons coming close to them, one of the boys ask,
Boy 1 : are you the ones who are going to give us job?
Goon 1 : yes, we are. Did you say anyone about this deal ?
Boy 2 : no sir, no… nobody knows… not even my mom.
Boy 3 : when will I get the money sir? I need it urgently for my dad's surgery.
Goon 2 : you will get it as soon as you start the work. Did you all send your bank details to my WhatsApp ?
All the boys : yes sir
Goon 1 : Then you will get it soon. Your work will start by day after tomorrow. You wont be able to see your family for another 2 years. So say goodbye to your family and come back here day after tomorrow ok ?
The boys : yes sir
Suddenly the goon 2 gets a call. He speaks into the phone with a frown on his face. A tension was visible in his face. The other goon goes near his friend. The first goon cuts the call and they both speak in whispers. The boys see each other in confusion.
Boy 1 : sir what happened ?
Goon 1 : your job is cancelled. You all go home immediately!
Boy 2 : but why suddenly sir ? I need the job very badly, my sister's marriage is in next month.
Goon 2 : hey! Can't you hear what he said ? Your jobs are all gone. Now get out of here.
Boy 3 : but sir what happened suddenly ?
Dushyant : CID happened ….
He laughed and came out of the shadows. Ishitha stood behind him with her gun pointing towards the goons.
Ishitha : hands in the air and kneel down
Goon 1 : C…C…C…CID ?
Dushyant : yeah CID, now hands up and surrender
Suddenly goon 2 holds one of the boys at gun point and asked him to leave them; otherwise the boy would get hurt. But Kavin and Nikhil had silently hid behind the boys and goons beforehand. Kavin suddenly appeared from behind and attack the goon and made him release the boy. Dushyant chases the goon 1 while Ishitha and Nikhil make sure the boys are alright. They then explain the boys that they almost got kidnapped and to never trust guys who show the path easy money.
Kavin and Dushyant capture both the goons and handcuff them. They call the nearby police to take the boys home safely and to transport the goons to the bureau. They then go to the bureau just when Abhijeet had finished his conversation with Dr.Salunke. Reporting him what happened, they prepare to interrogate the goons.
Interrogation got over within 15 minutes as even these guys didn't know anything about the boss. Their job was only to kidnap boys in the pretext of getting them a job and send them to the warehouse to the manager. Then the manager does the remaining job.
Now with 2 parts of Abhijeet's plan successfully complete, the final and the most important part is pending. But it is in the hands of our most efficient and competent officer…
Venue : The Boss hideout
Daya and team had positioned according to their plan. Jaywanti had met the officer who were coming for their help. They were 2 vans full of police force headed by Inspector Mayur of the police special force. And with them were our dear CID officers …
Jaywanti : Freddy sir ! Pankaj ! You both are here too ?
Freddy : yeah yeah, we heard Daya sir needed help. So we came.
Jaywanti : so basically everyone knows about Daya sir except me
Pankaj : oh no, I also didn't know about him.
Freddy : Daya sir is an undercover cop. Only Pradyuman sir, Chitrole sir and Abhijeet sir other than me know about him. Sachin sir knows him personally because they had studied in the same college. Daya sir was his senior in college. Nikhil - while he was in CID training, he once was going through a case file of an interesting and a difficult case solved by Daya sir. He became a fan without even knowing who he is. (names won't be mentioned in the case files of undercover cops). I don't think he knows that his role model is Daya sir even now.
Jaywanti : oh wow … I am a fan now too!!!
Mayur : sir, can we proceed?
Freddy : ok let's go. Jaywanti show me the way.
And then they start going to the hideout. "It takes around 30 min to reach there", said Jaywanti to Freddy, Pankaj and Mayur. The police force followed them silently with their weapons ready. On the other side, Daya, Sachin and Nikhil are silently recording the conversations of the meeting happening inside the huts.
The Hut 1 (Nikhil's target)
Nikhil found out that these people were little drunk and were careless. Hence he was able to go inside the hut and hide behind a desk kept there. The hut was simple in design and had only one big room. It was well furnished with big tables and desks and chairs. He made sure there were no mirrors or holes through which anybody from outside nor inside could spot him. He started video recording the conversation. The meeting was about the money they earn through this illegal business. They were discussing where and how to invest them. An dhow to turn it into white money. Nikhil was happy that he had a nice hiding place where he could capture not only the audio but also the video. These people were even mentioning names of each other and kept mentioning about a guy named Surendar. "Must be their boss", Nikhil thought.
The hut 2 (Sachin's target)
Sachin's targets were not as careless as Nikhil's. Because the discussion was about the body farm and nobody was drunk.
Guy 1 : the body farm is almost full. We need a new location. What about all your research? Any place we can use ?
Guy 2 : sir, we have a couple of recommendations. You please review before Surendar ji does.
And such, they were into deep discussion. It was impossible to video record nor hide in there. The hut had only 3 rooms and all were interconnected. The minute you enter, the living room welcomes you. In the left corner, there is a counter behind which is the kitchen. Towards the right there is a door which leads to a room. The living room extends back and has a backdoor.
There was a dining table in the back of the living room and the meeting was happening there. Sachin hid behind the backdoor and was audio recording the conversation. His position was vulnerable since anyone from outside the back of hut could see him. Thankfully no guard was put there. Hence Sachin decided to push his luck as far as possible.
The hut 3 (Daya's target)
This was the Boss's hut and again the layout of the hut was the same. This hut was more furnished than the other two. But there was no meeting going on. Only that the manager and the Boss were talking, more likely fighting in the kitchen. Daya tried to find a spot to hide and record.
The dining table was covered with a long table cloth and it was a easy hiding space. But it was difficult to enter the house without them noticing and the back door was locked. The kitchen had a window but it was risky to stay there since a guard was patrolling close by. The only way to enter is through the main door.
Praying to god, Daya started crawling silently through all the desks and chairs of the living room. At the same moment, the patrol guy sneezed so loudly that both the boss and manager looked out the window. Seizing the chance, Daya hurried and sat under the table. The table cloth was black and hence Daya's silhouette was not visible through it. He sat comfortably and started recoding their conversation.
