The moon hung high in the sky, casting its cold light over the quiet suburbs of Amity Park. Everything seemed normal, but inside Star's room, another world was taking shape... a world of nightmares.

Star was deep in sleep, but her breathing was ragged, and her face was taut, as if she were fighting something no one else could see. In the dream, she found herself in complete darkness, the air heavy, as if the world around her was dying.

Then she saw him.

Danny was there, standing facing a shadowy shadow. She couldn't see the enemy's features—he was just a moving black mass—but his aura alone was enough to strike fear into her heart.

I screamed his name, but Danny didn't pay attention. He was bound... trying to break free, but he couldn't, trying to resist, but to no avail. In a flash, the enemy's attack penetrated his defense, hitting him squarely in the chest.

"Danny!"

She saw his eyes widen, the shock, then his body slowly collapse to the ground, lifeless. As if it had gone out, her vision blurred further, and silence replaced everything.

Then I woke up.

She gasped loudly, sitting up in bed, her breaths rapid and ragged, her heart nearly leaping out of her chest. The room was dark, but the cold sweat on her forehead left no room for rest.

"Just a nightmare … " she whispered to herself, but her mind refused to believe it. It wasn't just a nightmare. It felt real… like a warning.

She got out of bed and walked to the window, looking out at the empty street. There was one thought running through her head:

"I won't let this happen ... I won't let Danny die."

The next day, Star wasn't herself. She stared at Danny throughout class, watching his every move, even if it was just lifting his pen to write a note.

"Well... that's weird." Danny muttered to himself as he felt her gaze pierce him.

At lunchtime, he couldn't ignore it any longer. He sat down at his usual table with Tucker and Sam, and as he opened his lunch box, he was surprised to find Star sitting next to him immediately.

"Hello, Star?" he said slowly.

"Hello!" she replied quickly, her tone overly excited.

Tucker and Sam exchanged glances before Tucker spoke with a sarcastic smile, "Oh, well, that's new. Star Strong would rather sit with us than at the elite table? Did we get the honor or is there a secret reason behind it?"

Tucker was joking... of course Star had been friends with them for a while now... but she really seemed to think something was wrong.

Star let out a short laugh, but didn't reply. Instead, she raised her head and scanned the cafeteria as if searching for an invisible threat.

Danny raised an eyebrow. "Are you okay? You look nervous."

"Me? No, no, I'm perfectly fine!" she answered quickly, but her hand was gripping the fork so tightly it almost bent it.

Danny decided not to pressure her, but he couldn't ignore the feeling that something was wrong.

That night, Danny set out on his usual ghost-hunting patrol. Everything was going as it should, until he noticed a familiar shadow following him across the rooftops, as if trying to hide from Danny.

"It can't be..." he muttered to himself before landing on one of the buildings and waiting for her.

Moments later, Star jumped out from behind, landing in front of him lightly, full of determination.

"Star? What are you doing here?!" he said in surprise, his arms crossed.

"I can help you!" she replied enthusiastically.

"Are you helping me?" he repeated, staring at her in disbelief. "It's not that I don't appreciate your support, but you're just not used to being followed around in the middle of the night!"

"Well, that changes from now on," she said firmly. "I won't let you fight alone… no matter how long it takes."

Danny tried to object, but he didn't stand a chance, as a giant ghost broke through the nearby wall and let out a thunderous roar.

"Great, time to fight." Danny said, ready to attack.

But when he lunged forward, Star suddenly leaped in front of him, raising her arms like a living shield.

"Back off, Danny! I'll handle this!"

Danny froze for a moment, shocked, then raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me, what?"

But Star didn't wait, she grabbed her weapon - the Ghost Sword - and rushed towards the ghost.

"Star, wait!"

But she had already started fighting. She hit the ghost as hard as she could, but the impact was equivalent to a feather hitting a rock. The ghost raised its giant hand to strike her, and before she could scream, Danny moved with lightning speed, grabbing her and pulling her away before she could shatter under his grip.

They landed together on a nearby rooftop, Danny staring at her angrily. "Are you crazy?!"

"I was trying to help you!" she said with equal anger.

"To be a snack for this thing?!"

"I just…" She stopped, her lips trembling. She couldn't tell Danny the truth. She couldn't tell him about the dream.

But Danny wasn't stupid. He knew she was hiding something.

"Forget it, we'll talk later." He said before returning to the fight, quickly ending the battle with a powerful energy strike.

After the ghost disappeared, he returned to Star. "We're done here, but this isn't the end of the conversation."

Star wanted to run away, but Danny wouldn't let her.

"Why are you acting like this, Star? What's going on?"

But she bit her lip and shook her head. "Nothing, Danny. I just... want to make sure you're okay."

Danny didn't believe her, but he didn't press further. He sighed, then said in a low voice, "I appreciate your concern, but you're making it harder. If you're going to keep interfering, at least tell me why."

But Star didn't.

And Danny started to feel that something was wrong.

In the days that followed, the situation didn't get better; it got worse. Starr wasn't just following Danny around in combat anymore, but in every aspect of his life. She showed up everywhere, walking beside him in the halls, sitting with him at lunch, even when he was with Tucker and Sam. She was always there, alert for any danger... danger Danny couldn't see.

At first, he tried to enjoy her presence, but he began to feel trapped.

One day, he was in his locker putting away his books when Star suddenly appeared next to him.

"Hey, Danny! Do you need help with something?" she said with a nervous smile.

Danny looked at her with half-closed eyes. "Star, it's just a closet."

"I know! But... maybe you needed something?"

Danny sighed in frustration and closed his locker. "Okay, thanks, but I'm fine. You don't have to be my shadow all the time."

A hint of pain appeared on her face, but she quickly hid it. "I'm just trying to make sure you're okay, Danny."

"I know, but this is too much!" He said a little sharply, then softened his voice when he saw her expression. "Look, Star, I appreciate that you care about me, but you're taking it too far. What the hell is going on?"

Star took a deep breath, as if she was finally going to tell him the truth, but the words didn't come out.

"Nothing, Danny. Just don't worry."

Danny was silent for a second, then shook his head in disappointment.

"That's the thing... I'm worried you're not telling me anything."

He turned away, leaving her standing there, staring at his back as he left.

That night, Danny was flying over the city when he noticed Star standing on the roof of a building, watching him.

"Oh, come on! That's enough!" he said angrily as he landed in front of her. "Star, you can't keep this up!"

"Danny, I just..."

"No, stop! Tell me the truth now!" he said sharply, pointing at her. "Why are you acting like I'm a child who needs a nanny? Why are you following me around all the time? What are you hiding?!"

Star froze, her eyes filling with panic. She wanted to tell him, wanted to scream the truth, but she was afraid he'd think she was crazy, or worse... believe her and be terrified.

"Danny, I can't tell you." I whispered finally.

Danny took a step back, as if her words were a slap in the face.

"You can't? Well, that's great," he said sarcastically, then looked at her disappointedly. "I thought we were closer than this, Star. I'd tell you if I were you."

Then he turned around, transformed into his human form, and walked away.

I screamed his name, but he didn't stop.

For the first time in a long time, Star felt completely alone.

But she wasn't going to back down.

If Danny won't let her protect him... she'll find another way.

Even if it means: *entering the realm of ghosts alone.*

Hours passed, and Danny still didn't show up. He wasn't at school, he didn't answer his phone, and he wasn't home when Star went looking for him. Even Tucker and Sam didn't know where he went.

But Star felt it...

Danny wasn't in this world.

She knew exactly where he could be.

Ghost range.

She stood in Fenton's lab, looking at the active portal in front of her. It wasn't the first time she'd seen it, but she'd never walked through it alone before.

She took a deep breath, and placed her first foot inside the glowing green vortex.

Then she disappeared.

The Ghost Domain was like a walking nightmare. The air was cold, heavy with unnatural energy, and the green sky glowed eerily. Star didn't know how Danny found his way here, but that didn't matter now. All she knew was that he was missing, and she had to find him.

She walked cautiously across the floating islands, watching for ghosts hovering in the distance. Some of them noticed her, but they didn't care. She wasn't a threat to them, and that was better for her... so far.

But after a few minutes of searching, I felt something strange.

Sudden silence.*

She stopped in her tracks, an uncomfortable feeling creeping deep into her chest. She knew something was wrong.

Then, before she could move, an energy blast hit her from behind.

She screamed as she was thrown forward, her body falling heavily to the stone floor. She tried to get up quickly, but before she could, she felt cold energy cords wrap around her body, completely restricting her.

I've fallen into a trap.*

"Well, well... look who we have here."

The voice was deep, cold, as if it came from the darkness itself.

She slowly raised her head, her eyes widening when she saw the person standing in front of her.

A tall man, covered in black armor, a metal skull-shaped mask obscuring his features, his eyes glowing with a frightening red light. He held an energy bow, with arrows behind him filled with dark energy.

Skull Hunter.

She saw him with Danny. He'd fought him before, barely managed to escape. And now... she was in his hands.

"What do you want?" she dared to ask, even though her heart was pounding.

The hunter chuckled softly as he walked around her. "Not you... but the one who will come to save you."

Star froze. "Danny..."

"Exactly." The hunter said with a crooked smile, then raised his hand, pointing to one of his followers.

"Send the signal."

In the human world, Danny was on patrol around the city, thinking about what had happened between him and Star. He felt guilty, but he was also angry. Why hadn't she told him the truth? Why had she acted like he couldn't protect himself?

But his thoughts were suddenly interrupted when the sound of the ghost device started.

He quickly took it out, his eyes widening when he saw the encrypted message.

"If you want to save your friend, come to the Ghost Domain. Otherwise... you'll never see her again."*

Danny gripped the device tightly, his eyes blazing with anger.

"Star..."

There was no time to think.

He immediately turned to his home, then rushed towards Fenton's lab.

Star was in danger.

No one will be allowed to hurt her.

Danny charged through the Fenton Gate, his heart pounding as he crossed the divide between worlds. There was no doubt — the Skull Hunter had set a trap for him, and Curtain was the bait.

But he didn't care.

All he wanted now was to find her... and save her.

He stepped out of the portal into the ghost domain, and began flying quickly through the dark green space, his eyes searching for any sign of her location.

"Where are you, Star?"

Then, in the distance, he saw her.

Star was confined inside a transparent energy cell, hovering in the middle of a courtyard surrounded by massive walls of floating rock. She looked exhausted, but her eyes sparkled with hope as she saw Danny approaching.

"Danny!" she screamed, but stopped abruptly when she saw something behind him.

Before he could reach her, energy arrows flew towards him at an incredible speed. He barely managed to dodge them, but one pierced his shoulder, causing him to feel a sudden, burning pain.

"Oh, you came so fast!"

The Skull Hunter emerged from the shadows, standing atop one of the floating walls, his energy bow charged with another arrow.

Danny clenched his injured hand, glaring at his enemy angrily. "Leave her alone!"

The hunter laughed softly. "Oh, of course... but you have to take it yourself."

Then he raised his hand and pointed.

Suddenly, dozens of warrior ghosts appeared, surrounding the arena, their glowing eyes focused on Danny like he was prey.

This was a trap, and there was no easy way out.

But Danny wasn't planning to escape.

The ghosts flew at him at once, but Danny was faster. He spun in the air, firing energy beams from his hands, blasting some of them away before they reached him. He spun back, dodging a blow from a massive ghost, then let out a ghostly scream that made it back away.

But the attack did not stop.

The hunter fired another arrow, this time targeting Danny's foot. He barely dodged, but lost his balance for a moment — just long enough for one of the ghosts to strike him hard, sending him crashing to the ground.

"Danny!" Star screamed, trying to break free from her cell to no avail.

But Danny wasn't ready to give up.

He quickly stood up, his eyes glowing with anger. He felt energy surging within him, then unleashed an explosive wave of ghostly energy, pushing the ghosts away from him.

Then he focused on his real target — the Skull Hunter.

Danny leaped into the air, heading straight for his enemy. The hunter was ready, firing several energy arrows in quick succession, but Danny was faster. He dodged them all, then landed a powerful punch, sending the hunter flinching for the first time.

But the fisherman wasn't worried.

"Good... just as I expected." He muttered with a faint smile.

Suddenly, before Danny could attack again, he felt something strange.

The air around him felt heavy, as if the energy in his body was fading. He tried to move, but his limbs felt numb.

Then I realized the truth.

This was all part of the plan.*

The bait wasn't Star alone.

But it was him too.

Before he could resist, a black energy net shot out from the ground, wrapping around his body at an astonishing speed.

Danny screamed as he was forcefully pulled towards the ground, energy coursing through his body, paralyzing him completely. He tried to resist, but he couldn't even transform back into his human form.

"Danny!" Star screamed, banging the walls of her cell in despair.

The Skull Hunter laughed, slowly walking towards his bound prey.

"Finally... I have you."

Danny tried to get up, but the energy was too strong for him to break free from.

This time... he might not be able to escape.

Danny was helpless.

He couldn't move his limbs, he couldn't transform, even his breathing became heavy under the influence of the energy web that bound him. This was the weakest he'd felt since he'd gained his powers.

The Skull Hunter stood before him, looking at him as if he was a rare catch that had finally fallen into his grasp.

"Danny Phantom, the unbeatable ghost..." he said in a sarcastic voice. "And now, just a kid trapped in a trap."

Danny tried to speak, but he could barely lift his head.

"Why...are you using it for this?"

The hunter bent down slightly, staring into his eyes from behind his metal mask.

"Because you're a threat, and because the Ghostbusters couldn't catch you, I decided to do it myself."

Then he turned to Star, who was banging the walls of her cell hard, trying to free herself.

"Of course, I couldn't have done it without her help."

Star stared at him in shock. "Me?! I came to save him!"

The hunter laughed quietly. "Exactly. That makes my job easier."

Star felt guilt creep into her heart. She was the reason Danny was here... in this situation. If she hadn't gone alone, if she hadn't been captured, Danny wouldn't have had to walk straight into the trap.

Danny was completely helpless, bound by the black energy web, every muscle in his body paralyzed by the force of the trap. He tried to resist, but he couldn't even summon his ghostly strength.

The Skull Hunter stood before him, his energy bow charged with a glowing arrow.

"Finally, after all these chases... it's time to finish you off, Danny Phantom."

Danny tried to move, but he couldn't, his eyes staring silently at the energy arrow heading towards him.

"Danny!" Star screamed from inside her energy cell, her eyes widening in horror.

But there was nothing she could do.

The arrow shot.*

It pierced Danny's chest directly, the force of the explosion sending a wave of energy that made the air tremble. His eyes widened for a moment, then lost their luster.

Then, in front of everyone's eyes... his body fell motionless to the ground.

*Vision Achievement*

Star froze in place, her breath caught.

She's seen this scene before.

The same vision that haunted her dreams, the same moment she tried in every possible way to prevent.

But she couldn't.

Her nightmare has come true.

"No…" she whispered, her body trembling.

The Skull Hunter stood over the corpse, watching it for a few moments, then smiled coldly. "It's done."

He lifted his head to look at Star, enjoying seeing the complete breakdown in her eyes.

But... something wasn't right.

Suddenly, Danny's falling body began to glow with a strange green light.

Instead of fading from existence... he began to disappear in a different way.

The Skull Hunter took a step back, his eyes narrowing suspiciously. "What?"

Then, out of nowhere, a familiar voice called out behind him:

"I expected you to fall into the trap."

The hunter quickly turned around, to find the *real* Danny standing behind him, floating in the air, his ghostly energy glowing from his hands, his eyes burning with determination.

"But how?!" the hunter cried.

Danny smiled confidently. "The one you killed? It wasn't me."

At that moment, the last traces of the fake body faded away, leaving behind a faint green glow.

"It was just a *ghost split*."

The hunter quickly looked around, realizing that he had been completely tricked.

But before he could act, Danny raised his hand, firing a massive energy wave straight at him.

The energy struck the Skull Hunter hard, sending him rolling across the ground, his armor cracking from the force of the blow. He tried to get up, but before he could, Danny was on top of him, enveloping his body in a new ghostly energy ring, restraining him in the same way he had tried to restrain Danny.

"This is for you, hunter." Danny said, tightening his grip, tightening the restraint.

Skull Hunter tried to resist, but realized the bitter truth — he had lost.

Then Danny quickly flew towards Star, easily broke the energy cell, and grabbed her hand.

She looked at him with eyes still filled with shock. "But… I saw you get killed!"

Danny smiled, despite the exhaustion he felt. "That's why you were scared all this time, isn't it?"

She nodded slowly. "I saw it in my dream... I thought it would really happen."

Danny squeezed her hand gently. "But dreams don't always come true. This time, it was all a plan... and we won."

I looked at the bound hunter, then at Danny, and realized he was right.

They almost lost, but turned the tables at the last minute.

Now, it was time to go home.

"Let's get out of here," Danny said, looking at the gate that would take them home.

Star looked at the range of ghosts around her, then sighed in relief.

"Great idea."

Together, they crossed the gate, leaving the Skull Hunter behind... this time, a captive instead of a hunted one.

Danny and Star emerged from the ghost portal and found themselves back in the human world, Fenton's lab. The place was eerily quiet, as if time had stopped for a moment, but Danny felt everything — exhaustion, pain, and triumph.

He stood for a moment, catching his breath, then looked at Star, who was still watching him with eyes full of worry and surprise.

"Are you okay?" he asked her in a low voice.

She nodded slowly, but there was something in her gaze that let him know she wasn't completely calmed down yet.

"I just…" she began, but paused for a moment. Then she looked up at him. "I was sure you were going to die, Danny. I saw it in my dream. I thought I had really lost you."

Danny was silent for a moment, then half smiled as he said, "I know. That's why you were trying to protect me all along, right?"

Star lowered her head. "Yes... but I was wrong."

Danny took a step toward her, placing his hand gently on her shoulder. "You weren't wrong to want to protect me, Star. But you can't let fear control you. Dreams and visions can be deceiving, and what we see in them isn't always the truth."

She looked at him, and finally, she began to feel her heart calm down.

"But either way, I don't want you to go through this again." He added with a smile. "So, next time you have a dream about me, why don't you tell me instead of trying to deal with it on your own?"

Star finally smiled, despite the tiredness that was evident on her features. "Deal."

It's been a few days since the final battle with the Skull Hunter, and Danny has returned to his normal life — studying, fighting ghosts, and trying to pretend he's just a normal teenager.

As for the hunter, he remained trapped in the realm of ghosts. This time, he was not the hunter, but the prey.

One day, while Danny was sitting with Star in the school garden, he looked at her and said jokingly, "No more bad dreams, huh?"

She smiled and shook her head. "No, but if I see anything strange, I'll tell you right away."

Danny laughed. "Good. I don't want any more surprises."

She looked at him for a moment, then said in a serious but warm voice, "No matter what happens, I will always be by your side."

Danny looked at her, his heart warming.

"Me too."

Then, suddenly, Danny's ghost senses shot through him.

Danny sighed as he got up. "Well, looks like break time is over."

Star laughed as she followed him. "At least this time, I'll be by your side from the start."

Danny smiled as he transformed into Danny Phantom, his eyes burning with ghostly energy.

"Let's go."

And they set out together, ready to face anything... this time, without secrets, and without fear.

*the end.*
