Chapter Four: Call of the Crimson Dragon

Stopping at an apartment complex that was willing to accept them, Nozomi thought for the moment, they could have some peace and quiet until the Fortune cup could start. Though in her mind, she knew that Sector Security would be after them, and they would have to face them again at some point. For now though, they could take a breath before that.

Yukina and Chiaya went around town to see what was there to see and go to, or at least the area of town that was near the apartment complex so if they were discovered, they could try and find some places to hide in town before they could return to the others. Once they return to the others, they could pack up and find another apartment to stay in. However, it seems today is not going to be one of those days…

"So, what do you think we will find for snacks around here?" Yukina asked Chiaya as she felt her stomach growl. I have to admit they had been traveling for a week, and a couple of days to New Domino City and they did have snacks with them, but they had quickly run out of snacks by the time the four of them had arrived at the Satellite.

"I am not sure, but I hope that Yusei will be alright. He seemed to be really adamant to get his payback against this Jack Atlas like he took something that was a part of him." Said the blonde in a single worried breath.

Yukina was going to say something just as he saw a great bright light that flashed in the dueling arena. The two girls looked straight to the direction of the light to see what Nozomi knew as the Crimson Dragon, letting out a nearly deafening roar that carried past the old limits of the city. Yukina herself could feel the immense power from the spiritual being as her eye color had changed from her watery blue of kindness to that intense gold of anger, like the Crimson Dragon had somehow triggered it.

"Such spiritual power…" Was all that she could say as she was still staring at the great beast within the air. She really had no control of this power or personality as she felt nothing but anger coming from the dueling arena. Could she be sensing the anger from Yusei, or is it the old friend, Jack Atlas? Was this anger coming from the dueling superstar?

"Such anger…"

Chiaya could see this change again as she also watched her slowly walking towards it, her instincts kicking in - stopping her, saying to her… "Yukina, what are you doing? We could be found out within a few minutes!"
"Let go of me! This power hasn't been seen in so many years…" The bluenette yelled with a huff. It felt like her anger was building up. But then the Crimson Dragon finally vanished and the light along with it, which made Yukina livid at Chiaya.

"Well, well, well…" Said a voice from out of nowhere just as Yukina was going to shake Chiaya violently, but the two of them looked behind them to see a pair of thugs - one wearing a bulky leather jacket and the other a sleeveless jacket with different colored jeans. One had dark blue hair that was very spiky at the front but went all the way down to his hind end; messy and ill kept. The other was female with slightly shorter red hair that only reached the lower part of her back, just as messy and ill kept as the other thug.

"What do you two want?" Was what Yukina said to them with anger in her voice.

"Oh, look at that, she thinks she is tough…" The female thug remarked to her boyfriend. "... Well if you think you two are so tough, then why don't you two duel us."

Yusei had warned the four girls to keep their duel disks with them at all times just in case the four of them got into some kind of trouble, and I guess he was right on this as Yukina quickly pulled out her duel disk and put it on her left arm. Chiaya immediately saw no other option - she wanted to talk out of this, but she also knew that there was probably no way that the two of them were going to walk away without starting a duel.

Yukina and Chiaya: 8000

City Thugs: 8000

"I'll start things off with playing a monster face-down and play two cards face-down and end my turn." The male thug said as a face-down monster card appeared on one of the Monster Zones and two other face-down cards in the Spell and Trap Card Zones. Though, in the shadow created by the face-down Monster Card lurked the eyes of crimson of something that was lying in wait for something.

"My turn, I draw." Chiaya said, drawing Georgius, Swordsman of the Ice Barrier from her Hand. She added it to her Hand - which already had General Wayne of the Ice Barrier, Judge of the Ice Barrier, Geomancer of the Ice Barrier, and the Spell Card Cards Salvage and Water Hazard. And she had an idea, but she knew that she has to maybe sacrifice some Life Points in the process depending if the face-down monster has higher defense than her Geomancer of the Ice Barrier.
"I summon the Judge of the Ice Barrier in Attack Mode."

Ice came up only to be shattered, revealing the white haired young lady. She brandished the sword - a solid blue blade placed upon a golden hilt, pointing it straight at the two thugs. She showed no fear, especially towards the face-down monster they have out of the field.

"And since I now control an Ice Barrier Monster, I can Special Summon from my hand Georgius, Swordsman of the Ice Barrier from my Hand."

Spikes of ice flew up into the air before the winged-warriors armed with a large saber in his bird-like hands. His white wings let out loose feathers that were as cold as ice. He stood at the side of the Judge of the Ice Barrier, showing no fear towards these petty thugs nor their face-down monster.

"And since he was Special Summoned - I can Special Summon Geomancer of the Ice Barrier from my Hand." She declared revealing the monster she held in her right hand.

A portal gate opened unleashing ice and cold mist that formed before the young lady with Nozomi's brunette hair, though she hid half of her face with her left blue eye being the only thing sticking out from behind the gate she held. Despite this need to hide a part of her face, she also showed no fear towards the thugs and the face-down monster.

But this was not what Chiaya had planned, but she had to make sure that the face-down monster was what she thought it was.

"Now Georgius, Swordsman of the Ice Barrier… Take out their face-down monster with Cold Feather Saber Slash!"

The winged-warrior of the Ice Barriers sent a icy slash towards the face-down monster, cutting the card in half, revealing it to be Masked Dragon.

"And since Masked Dragon was destroyed - I can now Special Summon a Dragon with Fifteen Hundred ATK Points or Less from my Deck… And I choose Armed Dragon Thunder LV3 in Defense Mode."

A strike of thunder struck the spot that the Masked Dragon was only for the light that was created to dissipate revealing the young version of the Armed Dragon, some bouts of electricity emanating from the beast.

"Well, let's see how you fair once it fights my next monster when I have the Level Three Geomancer of the Ice Barrier and the Level Four Judge of the Ice Barrier!"

The Judge of the Ice Barrier then flew up straight in the air just as the Geomancer of the Ice Barrier herself turned into the three Synchro Rings with her gate being the only thing left of her. The three Synchro Rings turned the Judge of the Ice Barrier into the four stars that made up her level. Chiaya began to feel a freezing sensation within her chest that made her kneel on one leg. She never felt this sensation before, but she knew that she needed to carry on the duel or they might get beaten up.

"The second seal shall crack, and the dragon of the Frost roars with the great fury of snow! The destructive hail that destroys those who threaten us! SYNCHRO SUMMON, GUNGNIR, DRAGON OF THE ICE BARRIER!" She chanted as the gate that the Geomancer had opened up violently letting out ice and snow upon the area as the roar of one of the three Ice Barrier Dragons could be heard throughout the city.

At the tallest tower of New Domino City, Rex Goodwin and his assistant Lazar could hear the roar coming from the Chiaya and Yukina's location. Goodwin could already sense Yukina's power the moment she started dueling within the Satellite, but this power was different. It is like destruction incarnate with an unrelenting cold just as the source of the unrelenting appearing in that location. The dreaded Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier - the size of a giant mountain; it roared out like it was relieved to be free from the confines of the Ice Barrier Seal.

Lazar was shivering from the cold just as he was also horrified to know that someone is in the possession of one of the most destructive monsters in all of Duel Monsters. It almost felt sickening to even watch. He thought those three cards were destroyed long ago, but this was more than confirmation that they are still around.

Goodwin thought the same thing, but he did not show fear, but rather interest as to who is in possession of the three Ice Barrier Dragons. She could be a great contestant for this year's Fortune Cup.

The two thugs were horrified at the sight of the giant dragon in front of them, not just at the sheer size of it, but what this Dragon really is. One of the three Ice Barrier Dragons that was so powerful that they nearly brought the world to an end long before Zero Reverse.

"How do you have this card?" The female thug exclaimed to her as the gaze of Gungnir was firmly fixed upon the two thugs.

"And now, once a turn, I can discard up to two cards from my Hand, and then, I randomly select two cards from your Hand to discard…" She said as she discarded General Wayne and Water Hazard from her hand. "... And I choose the middle and right cards in your Hand."

Gungnir then sent a blast of snow and ice towards that man, causing the two cards that Chiaya mentioned to be sent to the Graveyard only to stop once both of those cards were sent to the Graveyard. The thug covered his face as this happened as he did feel those two cards vanish from his Hand. He uncovered his face the moment Gungnir had stopped, and he looked back and below him to see that the road below him and behind them was completely covered in ice. He felt really, really cold as he began to shiver almost severely.

So this is the true power of the Dragons of the Ice Barrier? Yukina said in her thoughts as she looked up at the powerful Dragon. She could sense the destructive power coming from the great beast. But she soon noticed the decrease in her friend's strength like summoning the Ice Barrier Dragon had done something to her.

"Now…" Chiaya said, feeling a little exhausted as she was slowly panting a bit before she concluded her sentence. "... I end my turn… It is your move."

"It… It is my turn." The female thug said reluctantly, drawing her card from her Deck to her Hand. She took a few more seconds to choose what to do, but she managed to figure out what to do. "I play One for One. By sending a card in my Hand to the Graveyard, I can Special Summon Red Eyes Black Chick from my Deck in Defense Mode."

The Crimson egg appears with an open section in the front, revealing the glowing scarlet eyes of the young Dragon.

"I then activate his effect to send him to the Graveyard to Special Summon directly from my Hand - Red Eyes Black Dragon. Then, I play Cards of Red Stone: by sending a Red-Eyes Monster that is Level Seven from my Hand to the Grave to Draw another 2 Cards, and then I am able to send another Level Seven Red-Eyes Monster from my Deck to the Graveyard."

Once she drew her next 2 cards, she looked at them and made her choice.

"I next play Return of the Dragon Lords - I target one of my Level Seven Dragons in my Graveyard, and I choose my Red-Eyes Soul."

Once her Red-Eyes Soul appeared on the field, she had two Red-Eyes Black Dragons on her side of the field.

"I then send Red-Eyes Soul back to the Graveyard to Special Summon my Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon from my Deck. And Darkness Metal now allows me to Special Summon from my Graveyard Red-Eyes Soul again."

She now had three Red-Eyes Dragons on the field. One that is stronger than Gungir for now.

"I now tribute my original Red-Eyes Black Dragon to Special Summon from my Hand the Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon!"

The original Red-Eyes then disappeared in a burst of fire to be replaced by the darker version of the Red-Eyes Black Dragon. It let out a roaring screech at the giant Ice Barrier Beast, showing absolutely no fear towards one of the ice monsters of destruction.

"I now activate Polymerization from my Hand, and I fuse Red-Eyes Soul on the field with the Meteor Dragon Red-Eyes Impact in my Hand! The Soul of the Deadly Dragon of Potential shall merge with the Dragon that falls from Space to bring forth the extinction of life itself! Fusion Summon! Meteor Black Comet Dragon!"

Out of that portal came the form of a Dragon shaped meteor creature that had the eyes of the Red-Eyes Black Dragon. Its fangs were bared for battle against Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier and its fire was able to melt away the ice that the Ice Barrier Dragon created due to it being summoned and its effect. The two other Red-Eyes roared alongside the beast as they squared up against the Ice Barrier Dragon.

"Now, I activate Red-Eyes Darkness' effect - he now gains three hundred ATK for every Dragon in my Graveyard, and I currently have seven Dragons in my Graveyard for a grand total of twenty-one-hundred ATK Points!"

Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon: 2400 2100 = 4500

"Now I'll have my Darkness Dragon attack your Gungnir with Inferno Darkfire!" The thug called out as Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon let out a powerful blast of fire, actually destroying the Dragon of the Ice Barrier in a fiery explosion that both Chiaya and Yukina could feel.

Chiaya and Yukina: 8000 - 2000 = 6000

City Thugs: 8000

The two girls had stepped back a bit, but Chiaya knew that this wasn't the end of the Ice Barrier Dragon. And the two thugs could see her calm demeanor and wondered why she was so calm, until they found out the reason why as an explosion of ice and frost began to rush through this part of the town and the next few blocks around it. Both of the thugs covered themselves before they uncovered themselves, feeling the unrelenting cold and all of their monsters were covered in solid ice.

"W-what happened to all of our monsters?" Was all that she could say at that moment in time.

"That is one of the Ice Barrier Dragons' effects. If they were destroyed by battle or card effect and sent to the Graveyard, all other monsters - other than themselves - on the field cannot attack or activate their effects until the start of your partner's second turn." Chiaya said, panting all of sudden, like she was losing a bit of energy the moment these Ice Barrier Dragons used their effects as she looked like she was going to drop to her knees. "And then, at the start of my second turn, the Ice Barrier Dragon in question will Special Summon itself back to the field, and then all the other monsters on the field will be destroyed. And then you take Five Hundred Damage for each of those monsters destroyed."
The thugs looked at their monsters with horror in their eyes and they are beginning to regret trying to duel these two girls.

"My turn, I draw." Yukina said, pulling out a card from her Deck. She pulled out the Tuner Buten, and she added it to her Hand - which had already had Diviner of the Herald, Darklord Superbia, Indulged Darklord, the Spells Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen, and Darklord Contact in her Hand. "I play the Spell Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen - which allows me to Special Summon a Fairy from my Hand so long as I control no monsters, and I choose Diviner of the Herald."

The light of the clouds that surrounded the town before they opened up upon the center of the field as the Diviner of the Herald floated down gently towards and was just two inches from the ground. She showed a calm look on her face as she looked at Yukina and Chiaya's two opponents with no fear.

"And since she was Special Summoned - I can send a Fairy from my Deck or Extra Deck to the Graveyard, and if I do, I can increase her Level by that of the sent Fairy's Level until the end of the turn."

Yukina pulled her deck from her Duel Disk and then sent Capricious Darklord straight to her Graveyard, but the two thugs didn't know that at the time.

"I have sent a Level Four Fairy and she becomes a Level Six Monster. Next, I Normal Summon Indulged Darklord."

And then a black portal appeared on the ground as the Fallen Angel known as Indulged Darklord flying slowly out of that portal, laughing with sadistic pleasure, looking at the opposing duelists with such pleasure right before falling in line with the Diviner of the Herald.

"And since she was Normal Summoned, I can take two Darklords from my Deck, and Special Summon one to your field, and add another to my Hand, so I Special Summon Darklord Ukoback to your field, and add this Darklord to my Hand."

As soon as Ukoback was brought to the field of the two thugs, the bluenette reached into her Deck and pulled Darklord Ixchel. She does have a plan in mind with this.

"Next, I activate the effect of Darklord Ixchel in my Hand. By discarding her and another Darklord, I can Draw 2 Cards from my Deck."

The astral form of Ixchel appeared behind her with her arms wrapped around Yukina in a very seductive manner as she gave her a kiss before looking back at the two thugs with a grin on her face. So she sent both Ixchel and Superbia to the Graveyard and drew Darklord Nasten and Banishment of the Darklords. And she knew what to do with those cards.

"And now for Darklord Nasten's effect in the Hand - because by discarding two Darklord cards from my Hand, I can Special Summon him to my field."

And soon another black portal opened allowing the beastly Fallen Angel to rise from his realm. He looked at the two thugs with a snarl and placed a hand down on the ground as if he was about to pounce like a wild cat. His teeth were ready to sink into the necks of the thugs and his claws ready to split them in half.

"Next I tune Level Four Indulged Darklord with Level Six Diviner of the Herald! The Light of the Heavens meets the Darkness of the Abyss, the wings of an Angel that knows both the Light and Dark! Chaos shall reign in this Duel! Synchro Summon! Discord is his title, Chaos Angel!"

With the two monsters came a gigantic Angel appeared behind the two girls with a white fire in one hand - signifying the light - and a black fire in the other - signifying the dark. He gave a loud and almost mechanical groan as it looked down.

"And now, I activate the second effect of Nasten! By paying a thousand Life Points, then targeting a Darklord Spell or Trap in my Graveyard - he can copy the effect and then shuffle the targeted card back into the Deck. And I choose the Spell Card - Darklord Contact! Which allows me to Special Summon a Darklord from my Graveyard in Defense Mode! And I chose Darklord Superbia."

Chiaya and Yukina: 6000 - 1000 = 5000

City Thugs: 8000

With those words, a purple light blasted out of her Duel Disk's Graveyard Zone until it turned into the Darklord Superbia with the sound of a Demonic Raven. And then, the open hole upon his crown began to glow, his effect now kicking in.

"And when Superbia is Special Summoned - I can Special Summon another Fairy from my Graveyard, and I choose Darklord Ixchel!"

And out of that glow crown of Superbia's came the Fallen Angel of seduction. She gave off a giggle that was very sinister and seductive as she lowered herself to her Monster Zone. She was hovering just a few inches off the ground with her legs crossed and a hand that cupped the right side of her face that had a large grin.

And then her Graveyard Zone began to glow once again.

"And now, Capricious Darklord's effect in the Graveyard kicks in! Your monsters lose five hundred ATK Points for every Fairy on the field until the end of the turn. Since there are a total of four Fairies, your Dragons lose 2000 ATK Points."

The astral form of the Capricious Darklord appeared behind Yukina as she had thrown a few feathers towards the four Dragons - which caused them to feel weak.

Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon: 4500 - 2000 = 2500

Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon: 2800 - 2000 = 800

Meteor Black Comet Dragon: 3500 - 2000 = 1500

Armed Dragon Thunder LV3: 1200 - 2000 = 0

"And now… I activate Chaos Angel's effect! Since he was Summoned - I can banish one card on the field, and I choose that face-down card you have!" She stated as she pointed at one of the two face-down cards and chose the one closest to him. It suddenly faded away like it was a ghost during the early morning sunrise.

"Now I will have my monsters Battle! Chaos Angel! Flames of Chaos!"

The giant Angel merged the two flames together before unleashing it down upon the Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon destroying it in a terrific explosion. This explosion caused the two thugs to cover their faces again as they stepped back a bit from the force of that explosion.

Chiaya and Yukina: 5000

City Thugs: 8000 - 1000 = 7000

"And next Darklord Nasten attacks Darkness Metal Dragon with Raging Angel's Hunt!"

Nasten rushed forward, anger and fury filled within him as his claws grew an extra inch before those claws found their mark within the almost tungsten-like stomach area of Red-Eyes Darkness Metal, tearing it apart with every strike of the Fallen Angel. And just like the Darkness Dragon, it exploded spectacularly.

Chiaya and Yukina: 5000

City Thugs: 7000 - 1800 = 5200

"Next up… Darklord Ixchel attacks the Armed Dragon Thunder LV3 with Destructive Enchantment of the Fallen!"

Ixchel performed a spell that began to surround the weakest of the Armed Dragons before it also exploded.

Chiaya and Yukina: 5000

City Thugs: 5200 - 2500 = 2700

"And finally, Superbia attacks Meteor Black Comet Dragon with Prideful Talons!"

Darklord Superbia swooped in with his talons primed for bearing and struck the Meteor Black Comet Dragon in the face before going straight for the monster's stomach and chest in which the Dragon exploded in a fiery explosion that was so hot that the heat had melted what remained of the ice around the field.

Chiaya and Yukina: 5000

City Thugs: 2700 - 1300 = 1400

"And now, I activate the effect of Ixchel - by paying a thousand of Life Points, I can copy the effect of another Darklord Spell or Trap in my Graveyard, and then shuffle the Spell or Trap back into the Deck, and it is the Banishment of the Darklords - this allows me to add a Darklord related card from my Deck to my Hand."

Yukina quickly pulled out a card from her Deck, and it was Darklord Enchantment. She then looked at her opponents with those golden eyes of hatred.

"And I will place it face-down, and end my turn. It is your move." She concluded, still fixed on them.

Goodwin and Lazar were not the only ones who saw the whole duel starting out, both Ai and Nozomi could see the whole thing, and they could feel the unrelenting cold coming from the cold. They have heard the destructive powers of the three Dragons of the Ice Barrier and really didn't believe the stories of them being this destructive, that is, until now. They could see one of them, Gungir, appearing out of the space between the buildings. The roar it gave out was a real one that Nozomi could somewhat understand.

You have never told me that your friend Chiaya has the three dreaded Dragons of the Ice Barrier! Said the astral form of Clear Wing Synchro Dragon to the young brunette. Has she ever summoned them before?

"No, she hasn't. This is the first time she has summoned one of them." She replied to the Duel Monster Spirit with a bit of a loud tone. "But I had never known their powers fully until now. We honestly thought that their powers were exaggerated."

No… Was Clear Wing's reply as they continued to look on the duel. We had thought that the Dragons had died out when their cards were lost. How did your friend come into possession of these vile beasts?

But then, they could see the Chaos Angel that belonged to Yukina. They watched Chaos Angel unleash an attack down on what both Ai and Nozomi assumed was their opponent's field. This was immediately followed by a series of explosions that nearly made the ground shake. Nozomi herself could also sense the growing anger coming from Yukina and she was getting rather worried about them. Because they were planning to see the therapist and a psychiatrist to boot as they could help Yukina in controlling or at the least make peace with this second much darker personality.

Nozomi had never seen Yukina like this in her life. She always sees Yukina duel with a big heart and a lot of passion, not with this much hate and vengeance. But what concerned her was what was setting her off most of the time, especially when her own mark goes off. She had seen the Crimson Dragon from before, and it was the same Crimson Dragon that she saw in her vision on her way here. She knew that Yusei had a similar mark on his arm as well. What was the Crimson Dragon trying to say to her and Yusei? What did it want from them?

Looking at the situation in front of him, the male thug began to draw his next card and added it to his hand. He looked at his cards before looking back at both Yukina and Chiaya, he needed a way to stall Chiaya's Ice Barrier Dragons.

"I play my down card, Ruins of the Divine Dragon Lords." He said just as the Continuous Spell Card revealed itself on his side of the field. "Next, I play the Spell, Monster Reborn to bring back Armed Dragon Thunder Lv3 from the Graveyard. Next, I will activate his effect to send a monster from my Hand to the Graveyard, then I can send him back to the Graveyard to Special Summon Armed Dragon Thunder Lv5 from my Deck!"

Once the smaller Armed Dragon disappeared, the bigger red Armed Dragon appeared in its place with more intense electricity than its original form. But the monsters that Yukina had on her field were not afraid of this Dragon. They were all wanting to see what his Dragon could do to them.

"But I am going to activate his effect to send another monster from my Hand straight to the Graveyard - this allows me to send him to Graveyard to Special Summon my Armed Dragon Thunder Lv7 from my Deck."

The electricity from the Dragon began to grow stronger allowing it to transform into a larger version of itself. The electricity from the Dragon is growing ever stronger than before. So strong that it was near to hitting some of the Darklords on the field, which made them back up a bit as they weren't expecting such power. The Armed Dragon looked down at the Darklords that were smaller than him and then looked up at the giant Chaos Angel. No fear was shown on its face as he seemed to know what was going to happen.

"And I activate the effect of my Armed Dragons that I sent to the Graveyard… If Armed Dragon Thunder Lv3 was sent to the Graveyard to Special Summon Armed Dragon Thunder Lv5 - I can draw a card from my Deck. And since Armed Dragon Thunder Lv5 was sent to the Graveyard to Special Summon Armed Dragon Thunder Lv7 - I can add a Level five or higher WIND Dragon from my Deck to my Hand."

The spectral forms of the two previous Armed Dragons appeared behind him as he first drew a card from his Deck and then added his level five or higher WIND Dragon from his Deck to his Hand.

"Perfect." He whispered to himself, looking at the two cards that he had added to his Hand before looking back at his opponents. "Next, I place a card face-down and activate the effect of Eclipse Wyvern in my Graveyard - this allows me to banish a Level Seven or higher from my Deck."

"Why would you want to banish a powerful monster from your Deck?" Chiaya pondered.

"You'll see, and now, I activate the effect of the monster in my Hand - Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms… By discarding him and a WIND Monster - I can add another Dragon straight from my Deck to my Hand.

"And now I can activate Tempest's effect - by banishing two WIND or Dragon monsters from my Graveyard, I can Special Summon him from my Graveyard. So I can banish both my Eclipse Wyvern and another Dragon in my Graveyard."

A great tornado then appeared on a Monster Zone on his field before that tornado then revealed the big green Dragon with wind and lightning being unleashed around the four Duelists as both Yukina and Chiaya covered their faces for a minute or two.

"And since Eclipse Wyvern was banished - I can add that banished Dragon straight to my Hand. And now I can tribute my partner's Darklord Ukoback to Special Summon my Kaiser Glider - Golden Burst from my Hand."

And once Ukoback disappeared from the female thug's field allowing the Dragon in question to appear before them. It roared out in defiance of the Chaos Angel in particular.

"And now, I activate his effect by targeting your Chaos Angel - allowing Kaiser Glider to have ATK equal to his."

And soon Kaiser Glider - Golden Burst began to grow even bigger to the size of Chaos Angel.

"And now, I will have him attack your Darklord Ixchel with Golden Fire."

Yukina and Chiaya: 5000 - 1000 = 4000

City Thugs: 1400

The two monsters then collided in a gigantic explosion, but to the thugs' shock to see that Ixchel was still standing.

"Wait what? Why wasn't she destroyed?"

"Chaos Angel gains the following effects of the Materials used for his Synchro Summon. All Synchros we control are unaffected by your monster effects, and all monsters we currently control cannot be destroyed by battle." Yukina replied to them.

"But that doesn't mean that your Life Points are not safe… Now Armed Dragon Thunder Lv7, attack Darklord Nasten with Armed Thunder Striker!"

This Armed Dragon swiftly attacked Natsen with powerful electricity powered claws, and with its swipe, it shocked both him and Yukina with electricity.

Yukina and Chiaya: 4000 - 200 = 3800

City Thugs: 1400

"I play my face-down… Darklord Enchantment, by sending my Darklord Superbia from my field to the Graveyard to take control of your Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms."

Ixchel then casted a spell that forced Tempest to come to their side of the field. His eyes turned from green to purple. But this was of no consequence to the male Thug as he knew what was going to happen to Tempest the moment when his turn was over.

"I end my turn."

The moment that he said that, Tempest began turning into a giant tornado, but this big tornado began to shrink and then instantly turned into a card. A card that went straight into his Hand.
"Wait what? What happened to Tempest?" Yukina exclaimed in shock.

"It is another of his effects. Once he is Special Summoned, at the end of my turn, he has to return to my Hand." The male thug explained to her, showing the card in his hand. "So he is safe for now."

"My turn, and since it is my turn, Gungnir Special Summons himself back to the field, and your monsters are destroyed." Chiaya said as she drew a card from her Deck, and it is the Revealer of the Ice Barrier, but Gungnir did reappear, but nothing was destroyed - which really surprised both Yukina and Chiaya. "Wait what? Why isn't he destroying the monsters?"

"It is thanks to my Ruins of the Divine Dragon Lords Spell Card. If you Special Summon a monster while I control a Level Seven or Eight Dragon. I can negate its effects until the end of the turn." The male thug replied as he pointed straight at his Spell Card - now glowing a white aura that almost looked like a gem like card. "So Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier can no longer destroy my Dragons with his effect."

"Well, I Normal Summon the Revealer of the Ice Barrier and I activate her effect - I can discard a card from my Hand to Special Summon an Ice Barrier Tuner from my Deck, and I pick Cryomancer of the Ice Barrier."

And when the Ice Barrier Tuner Monster appeared the monster began to glow an icey blue aura around him.

"Why are the Main Deck Ice Barrier Monsters glowing?" The female thug pondered with a raised eyebrow.

"It is their effects on the field. While Georgius is on the field with another Ice Barrier, you cannot activate card effects in the Graveyard. And you cannot target Level Four or Lower Ice Barrier Monsters for attack thanks to Cryomancer. And you cannot Tribute Summon thanks to the Revealer. But now I tune Level Four Revealer with the Level Two Crymoancer."

Once again, the Ice Barrier Tuner turned into a pair of Synchro Rings that flew into the air and Revealer took flight in the center of those two rings before turning into her four stars that made up her level. The beam of light that enveloped both stars and rings turned into a giant pillar of ice and frost that was held up by what looked like to be held up by a magic seal.

"The seal shivers, and the dragon rises from its pillar with an unrelenting rage that shall be brought forth life itself! The howling gale that blows away all that impedes our path, and its rage will be unleashed! SYNCHRO SUMMON, BRIONAC, DRAGON OF THE ICE BARRIER!" Chiaya chanted as the gate of the Geomancer of the Ice Barrier opened once again and let out a violent blast of frost that broke the seal on the pillar, allowing the second of the three Ice Barrier Dragons to be unleashed upon the field; the snow and ice reappearing on the field and in the town.

Yukina again could see that summoning this Ice Barrier Dragon made Chiaya, her best friend - weak all of a sudden. What really were these Ice Barrier Dragons? Were they more than the four of them actually bargained for? Are they really that dangerous that many of the people had told them. But this made her even angrier towards the thugs - forcing her blond best friend to summon these powerful Dragons just to defeat them.

"Well… As cute as it is to summon another Ice Barrier Dragon, it just isn't strong enough to take on Armed Dragon Lv7."

Chiaya, still weak from the summoning of Brionac, began to get up on her feet, and she looked at the two thugs with eyes that almost looked like empty holes. But there is still some life left within those eyes, showing that she still has some strength left within her to control these two beasts.

"Well, that's because I still haven't activated his effect - by discarding any number of cards from my Hand, you will have to return the same number of your cards on your field to your Hand. And I choose your Ruins of the Divine Dragon Lords and your Armed Dragon Lv7."

So she discarded General Wayne and the Spell Card Water Hazard, and the two cards on their field turned into light before returning straight to the male thug's hand. This horrified him as he and his girlfriend were now both looking down the giant maws of two of the three Ice Barrier Dragons. Their courage jumped out of their hearts now that they no longer have a set of monsters to protect them.

"Brionac, attack them directly with Freezing Frost Breath!" She declared as Brionac took a huge breath before sending a freezing energy blast towards the two thugs, causing a freezing explosion that created a large pillar of ice.

Yukina and Chiaya: WINNERS!

City Thugs: 1400 - 1400 = 0

The two giant Ice Barrier Dragons let out ear-splitting roars that could be heard even from the Satellite. But, they soon vanished along with the Chaos Angel and Darklords once the duel was finally declared over. The two thugs dropped to their knees before face planting into the pavement, completely unconscious with visible bruises on their bodies and their roughed up clothes. Yukina herself began to calm down as her eyes changed from the fiery gold back to her lovely oceanic blue only to see that Chiaya was about to pass out, so she rushed to her side to help her.

They soon heard the sound of both Nozomi and Ai heading their way. So Yukina tried her level best to help Chiaya back up on her feet with one of the blond's arms wrapped around the back of the bluenette's neck.

"Yukina, Chiaya! Are you girls alright?" The brunette said to them with a bit of a pant.

"I am, but I think Chiaya needs some help from a medical expert!" Yukina said as they took her back to their apartment as they quickly phoned a doctor that could come to them and have a look at her.

And when the sun began to rise and Sector Security managed to arrive on the scene of the duel. The two thugs were still unconscious, still breathing, but only barely. So the two Thugs were rushed to the emergency ward quickly and the story covered up, but for those who actually saw the two beasts of Ice, couldn't believe what they saw, and even those in the citadel could hear the ear-splitting roars from where they were. One old geezer in the citadel had a particular interest in this sound, thinking that he recognized the sound of the roar. His heart nearly stopped when he heard those roars from his cell in the Citadel, but he knew what they could have been. And yet, he really wished he really didn't know about it.

"Hmmm…" Goodwin pondered as he saw the first two Ice Barrier Dragons disappearing before his and Lazar's eyes.

"My, I never knew that we would see two of the three Dragons of the Ice Barrier in the city." Lazar commented as he turned his gaze towards Rex Goodwin - who was interested as to who had obtained the entire Ice Barrier Deck. "Shall I look up who was dueling over in that part of the city?"

"Do it, they could be perfect for the Fortune Cup coming up next week, however, I have a fear that the duelist has no idea what he or she is wielding." He replied as he looked down at his assistant before looking back at the part of the city covered in ice, concerned that the first two Dragons of the Ice Barrier may have left the Duelist in a very terrible state. He had read the few books that exist, telling the legend of these three terrible beasts, and he knew the risk of having a duelist wielding them.

And he soon found out who it actually was - though the cameras in that part of the city sector had been destroyed the moment Gungir was brought forth to the duel. Goodwin thought for a moment before making the decision to have Sector Security bring her and her friend to his office for a conversation, hoping that he could talk this girl down, saving both her and the world from an unending frost and death.

"So what do you think, Doctor?" Nozomi asked the Doctor - who was right in the middle of looking at Chiaya - who was still conscious, but was now breathing a little heavily. As well as some fever-like tendencies had started to fester within her.

Before the Doctor arrived though, they did what they could to keep Chiaya as well as they could, making her some soup and some water before sending her to bed with a cold towel placed upon her forehead. But now, she started breathing heavily, her cheeks were burning a bright red, and what looked like frost vapors coming out of her mouth every time she started to breathe.

This had left Chiaya's friends worrying for her life. This must have been a side effect of using the three Dragons of the Ice Barrier - which include Brionac and Gungnir, the two Dragons that were the size of large mountains. But for now, Ai, Nozomi, and Yukina just need to know if she is going to be alright.

"Well, to be frank with you, her breathing is indeed heavy and she is suffering some kind of fever. So I will suggest that you keep up the healthy foods as well as water and so honey and tea, that should be able to help in relieving her of the fever. If everything goes well, then she shall be able to get much better within a week."

His voice was honest, and yet baffled at Chiaya's current condition as he knew that this was not an ordinary fever. But for now, he could only recommend the basics for now, but he did tell them that if it did continue, then they should call him as quickly as possible, and the Doctor will arrive as quickly as he could.

"Thank you Doctor, and yes we'll keep an eye on her condition." Ai said with a smile on her face as the Doctor walked out of their apartment, but she noticed that Nozomi was looking back at Chiaya's Deck, wondering if her best friend could sense something coming from the Deck.

Nozomi walked up to the Deck and she definitely hear the echoing roars of the first two Ice Barrier Dragons like it was going through a valley of unending cold. She began to wonder what was the deal with these three Dragons in particular that everyone feared, and why were they considered so dangerous that they were generally banned in so many dueling tournaments throughout the world?
