The calm of the city had been at the very least normal - well at least for the citizens around the four Tokorozawa Girls and the young man of the Satellite - taking their time to live out the rest of the days until the long awaited Fortune Cup. People have been waiting for this big event with the best Duelists all across the world now coming - people like the popular and sassy Female Duelist, Anna Mousike-Thálassa Angelos with her Vampire Deck. The Turbo Dueling Champion of Italy, Rodrigo Bestiꜳlta da Verona with his powerful Tyrant Dragon Deck. The tag team Turbo Duelists from America, Jean Albedo and Klee Kliphburg with their strong Deep Sea and White Aura Decks, respectively. Dutch Turbo Duelist, Abraham Edelsteen van Den Haag with his Gravekeeper's Deck. And the Czech Champion Duelist, Vladislav Zelený Drak Prahy with his Knights of Face Deck. They all have either arrived or are on the way to take part in the Fortune Cup and try their hand against Jack Atlas.
But for the time being, the only one that Jack Atlas wanted to test her skills against him and vice versa was the young brunette that is in the possession of the most legendary card in the history of Duel Monsters - Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. Jack didn't know the name of the girl at the time and asked Secretary Mina Simington to find out who she was. And it is where we start in this chapter of the story…
"E-excuse me… Mister Atlas…" the bluenette secretary said with a bit of a stutter with a touchpad in her hand.
Jack Atlas was having his morning cup of coffee when she walked up to him. Looking up at her, saying… "Yes… What is it, Mina?" He placed his cup back on its plate before he actually turned his eyes to look at her.
"W-w-well… I had looked up the identity of the young girl that you asked me to look up, and I have found out who she is. I do have it here on my touchpad."
She carefully handed it to him to which he instinctively grabbed it with decent haste as he saw the same face of the girl he saw dueling former Warden Armstrong.
"Her name is Nozomi Moritomo, and is from the State of Tokorozawa. And it is actually interesting to find out that her family used to live in the Satellite - once the old Domino City. Her Grandfather is the late Doctor Hanzo Moritomo, good friend to Yusei's Father, Mister Fudo. But her family had moved to the state of Satellite when the Zero Reverse occurred, it was said that Doctor Hazno gave his granddaughter the Clear Wing Synchro Dragon card, though it does not state as to why Doctor Honzo has done this."
As she spoke to him, the Turbo Dueling Superstar began reading the dueling history of this young brunette. Her very first duel in the villages outside of the Tokorozawa's capital when she was just nine years old - though it was a loss. Her first win was the fourth day of her twelfth year against a popular young duelist that went by the name of Hiraku - and that was without her future ace monster. And in many legal championships within the state and local village matches - Nozomi had participated in all of them with only two confirmed wins out of the many legal state championships and nine total victories within local village matches, all of these without her Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. To many in the state, she - along with her best friends Ai Hibiki, Yukina Kosaka, and Chiaya Misono - were of their superstars.
This makes Jack absolutely livid at the fact this young girl was just as good without Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, nearly throwing the touchpad out of her hand, and it made him think that she was even better than him with her Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. It made him seethe with rage, thinking that it could out play both his Red Dragon Archfiend and Yusei's precious Stardust Dragon. But he knows he is the best duelist in the whole world and that is the way he wanted it. So his need to duel this girl, and probably claim Clear Wing Synchro Dragon for himself was clear to see in the room. And Mina - being his secretary, knew it was her job to make sure that he is happy.
"Do you still want to try and duel her, Mister Atlas?" Mina inquired, feeling a little bit nervous after noticing his anger.
"Yes, yes I do still want to duel her… I am going to show that girl that she is nothing, but a rookie that is just lucky…" He snarled as he got up and marched out of his apartment with his fists as tight as an anaconda strangling its prey to death. "... And her luck is going to run out."
He began telling Mina to find someone to bring Nozomi to the dueling arena for a Turbo Duel against him. And if she refuses to do so until the Fortune Cup, then they will more than likely force her there instead.
And while that was going on Yusei was actually making the best of what he thought was an odd situation - not that he was staying in a room full of girls, but they have been getting the feeling that people have been watching them for the past two days. And with the only few safe places being the girls' apartment, and a few other places that really didn't like Sector Security hanging around them - as some of them often find it bad for business. This made them thankful for this, but they knew that they couldn't stay there for too long so they had to move on. But the folks in these places were able to provide both some ideas on where they could find the place known as Bootleg.
Bootleg was just fifteen blocks south and sixteen blocks east from the girls' apartment under a cafe, a stairwell just a few feet in an alleyway leading into Bootleg. And this wasn't that long of a drive for Yukina and Chiaya. They agreed to take Yusei to Bootleg with one of them - that being Chiaya - as the other would join Yusei at the bar, and ask for Blister. They obviously knew that this task force that Goodwin - or as they currently know them as Guys in Black - had created was going to keep an eye on them - and will more than likely be at Bootleg as well.
"So we are all agreed on the plan?" Nozomi asked them.
They all nodded as Yukina spoke up. "Me and Chiaya will take Yusei to Bootleg, one of us will stay outside to keep watch for any sign of those guys in the suits while the other will be with Yusei as he asks for the milk. If they are already at Bootleg, we will leave the moment after we get the milk. If the one that is keeping an eye for them outside has spotted them, she will ring a bell once if they are by car or twice by foot."
Chiaya presented the bell - a cow bell that was given to them by Nozomi's mother before they left for New Domino City - in her left hand, and its wooden stick in the other hand. Nozomi entrusted the bell to the two of them, knowing that they would take good care of it. Though her mom only told her to use it for when they were done fixing dinner, although she did wonder if her daughter was going to get into trouble while in New Domino City. So maybe, just maybe… This bell could help Nozomi and her friends along the way. And it is this very bell that they are going to use in the mission to get Yusei's Duel Runner back.
"Alright, me and Ai will hold down the fort here, and..." Nozomi said to them just as she heard a knock at the door. "What the… Who could that be?"
"The guys in black?" Ai exclaimed.
"Sector Security?" Yukina cut in.
Nozomi decided to take a chance and opened the door only to see a blue haired woman in a blue suit with a tablet. Behind her was a pair of agents that seemed to be part of Jack Atlas' security details. This was a surprise for the brunette as she remembered seeing her being with the Turbo Dueling Superstar during the tournament duels, and often escorting him to the shed that had been given to him during these Turbo Duels. She let out a heavy sigh, as she did not need to worry for the moment.
"Excuse me, are you Miss Nozomi Moritomo, Granddaughter of the late Doctor Hanzo Moritomo?" She inquired.
"Uh… Yes?" The brunette replied. She was actually surprised to hear her say the name of her late grandfather, did she look him up before coming here?
"My name is Mina Simington, I am sure you know who I am. I am actually here to bring you a very special request to try your luck against Mister Jack Atlas tonight."
This surprised everyone in the apartment - but it surprised Nozomi even more, but now that she thought about it; she did see quite a few cameras watching the whole duel against the former Warden Armstrong. So she now realized it wasn't surprising that Jack Atlas had seen the whole thing. And it actually made more sense that he would want to try to duel her - and would more than likely not take no for an answer, especially from Director Goodwin. So she should've expected him to come hunting for Clear Wing Synchro Dragon.
"It is also a demand from Mister Atlas to you."
Nozomi decided to speak up further upon this topic. "I take it that he wants Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, some kind of need to claim it in a Duel, and he is definitely not going to take no for an answer."
"You hit the nail on the head, Miss Moritomo." Mina commented. "We reviewed dueling records and you do have a pretty outstanding dueling career in your home State of Tokorozawa. Though, Mister Atlas does find this as a threat to his popularity as the top ranking dueling stars."
"Nozomi, are you sure you want to face Jack Atlas this early on?" Yukina said to her best friend with a whisper, feeling rather outraged by this. They all knew how tough Jack was, largely when he is at his best with Red Dragon Archfiend and Stardust Dragon, but now the bluenette can tell that Nozomi may be thinking of a possible plan as to how to beat Jack Atlas. "Nozomi, you can't be thinking about taking on Jack right now, you know that you may have a slim chance dueling against Jack alone."
Nozomi began whispering to Yukina. "What choice do we have in this situation, and she did say to us that he is not going to take no for an answer. Besides, this may be our only chance for us to get back Yusei's Stardust Dragon for him. I am sure that if I do win against Jack, I can get Stardust back."
"But if you lose, you will more than likely lose Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. Are you even aware of that consequence?"
Nozomi only nodded once as she turned to Mina. "Please tell Jack Atlas that I accept his challenge, and if I do win, he gives me Stardust Dragon, but if I do lose, then I will give up Clear Wing."
"Thank you Miss Moritomo. I will be sure to relay that message to him. He will meet you at the Dueling track in the Dueling Arena exactly tomorrow in a few hours." Mina said before letting out a heavy, and a much needed sigh, knowing that she didn't need to use unnecessary force on the brunette - with help from Jack's agents. She and the two agents began to walk back to the limousine they came in.
And indeed off in the distance, the two men of the Task Force that Rex Goodwin setup - understandably unhappy that they had to back down for the time being, and allowing one of the Signers to get away, but Goodwin did realize that there was also an opportunity to this, but he did not want the task force to interfere with this. So now… They must keep an eye on Yusei, the bluenette Yukina, and the blond Chiaya, to find out where they are going to go, so their purpose is not lost.
Clear Wing then appeared at Nozomi's side in his typical astral form, asking her with a rightly concerned voice. "Are you certain that you will be able to save Stardust Dragon from the grips of the master of the Red Dragon Archfiend?"
"So, a change of plans… Me and Ai will have to head to the Dueling Arena, which we all should know will leave our apartment open to a more than likely setup for an ambush built by Sector Security…"
"And is this a risk that we need to take?" Yukina asked her brunette friend; she was still on the fence on this. She thought that both Nozomi and Ai staying at the apartment was more than likely the best option they had, but being forced to throw that plan out the window like an old piece of paper that almost didn't matter to them at the time. And she was internally outraged and rightfully so, because once Yusei gets his Duel Runner back, and Nozomi's unlikely win in her duel against Jack Atlas, the Wolves will then gather for them.
"I say we hold off Jack's demands for a duel so we can keep an eye on our apartment. So once Yusei has managed to regain his Duel Runner, then Nozomi can get her chance to face off against Jack Atlas." She suggested.
"I don't have much of a choice, Yukina." Nozomi objected as she stood straight up on her feet like her life depended on it. "If I do not arrive on time like I promised, then he will think I lied to them. And I am most certain you remember the last time that we had stalled for a dilemma at the same time as our duel back in Tokorozawa."
Yukina then began to remember this exact debacle her best friend was talking about; it was actually just at least seven weeks before their state's championship. It was a pair of young duelists that challenged both Nozomi and Yukina, and they had agreed to meet just outside the border between the city and the farms just outside the city. But it was at the same time that they were asked by Nozomi's mother to get her some groceries for their restaurant. So, this forced the two girls to make a decision; start the duel the next day, and immediately go to the store for the groceries, or start the duel now, and hope for a quick victory and then get the groceries. And they couldn't just ignore the customers of Nozomi's family restaurant so they had to get those groceries, but it took a lot longer than expected and this ticked off their opponents, making them wait for so long.
This was when Nozomi and Yukina were eleven, Ai was thirteen, and Chiaya was ten at the time. The Moritomo Family restaurant was just starting out and they needed some money to help keep it afloat, so partaking in Duels around the State and a few border States that Nozomi and her friends partook in were meant to help the family in the funding for the restaurant. It was Nozomi and her friends trying to do a good thing for her family.
It was that remembrance that caused Yukina's mindset to flip a full one hundred-eighty degrees in the other direction. "Oh right. I guess you're right in that sense." She noted without taking a second breath. "But there has to be another way to make sure Sector Security does not set up an ambush at our apartment."
"I am sure that the owners of the apartment will not allow it. They trust us, so we should trust them." Chiaya cut in, knowing that the apartment owners were not fans of Sector Security ruining business for them. And they did tell them that four of their residents were arrested for a series of alleged crimes that seemed to be made up on the spot, which left the owners rightly and fairly resentful, but they knew there was nothing they could do.
A smile began to form on the brunette's face seeing that kind of trust for others coming from the blond. "Then it is settled, me and Ai will head to the Dueling Arena's track to face Jack Atlas while Yukina and Chiaya will continue on with the original plan helping in getting Yusei's Duel Runner back."
"Alright, I will advocate this strategy, but I must urge the suggestion that we will have to find a much safer place to reconvene before we go to our apartment." Yukina said after nodding in agreement to the plan. She seriously wanted to avoid an ambush from Sector Security. Then if they found Blister, then Yusei could stay with him for a time so that Yukina, Nozomi, Ai, and Chiaya can return to the apartment, hopefully in peace, but they would make sure that Sector Security wasn't there first. Though, a good place to hide from Sector Security would be a logical next step after finding Yusei's Duel Runner and Nozomi's win against Jack Atlas.
"Alright, alright…" The brunette began to say to her as she stood up and turned to walk to the window next to her bed. She began looking up at what seemed to her to be endless blue sky - even though she knew that open void known as space awaited at the other end of the sky. She was wondering as to what her family was doing back in Tokorozawa. She hoped that they were alright right now.
However, by the next day, Nozomi could not rest on that thought for long as she and Ai were now on their way to meet up with Jack, going to the designated speed limit. Unlike Yusei and the others, the Task Force that Goodwin set up to keep an eye on them, no longer followed them - which gave the two girls relief. But the thought of Jack actually having cameras ready to show Tokorozawa how weak she actually was. She was determined to make sure she would not embarrass herself to her state.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Ai asked her, looking at her with a concerned look on her face.
"I really don't know Ai, I really don't know. But I am sure that I don't have a choice in the matter." Was her reply as she looked down at the screen of her Duel Runner, her reflection seen clearly, showing her head and face enveloped by her deep pink helmet. Her face showed the emotion of concern for this duel against the world's most popular duelist, but her Duel Monster Spirit friends will be by her side every step of the way with Clear Wing Synchro Dragon being her guardian.
She then looked up to see the Dueling arena, and its track just inside, being visible right through an entrance way to the said track open to her, but she stopped just ten to fifteen inches to the entrance.
"Alright Ai… This is your stop. You are going to have to watch us duel from the booths. Okay?"
Ai nodded and began to get out of the Duel Runner's sidecar. "I will be watching you. I hope you put the smackdown on his butt."
"I am sure I will give him a run for his money." She said to her best friend before gunning it towards the track, leaving Ai to run towards a set of bleachers that was close enough for her to see the duel as closely as possible.
Nozomi made sure to disconnect the side car, and have it placed off to the side, that way she can get a little bit more speed in the Turbo Duel. She began to look around with her amber eyes remaining ever vigilant with ears on high alert for any sign of the sound of Jack Atlas' Duel Runner.
"Jack Atlas! I am here as requested!"
But there seemed to be no initial response from him, so she decided to call out to him one more time.
"Jack! Where are you!?" And still no response. "Will you allow me to even talk to you?"
"JACK!"
And then, sure enough, the sound of a distinct Duel Runner could be heard in the arena with the brunette quickly moving her eyes off to her right and looked up to see Jack Atlas' Duel Runner, Phoenix Whirlwind - a monowheel Duel Runner - jumping right over her head, amazing her.
Her eyes kept on following the white monowheel Duel Runner as it made quite a sharp handbrake turn, facing the brunette right in the middle. She knew who was driving it as she gave a glare at Jack Atlas.
"I figured that you would say yes to my demand for a Turbo Duel, Nozomi Moritomo." He said to her as his helmet's visor revealed the rest of his face for her. "I have actually read that you are the Dueling Superstar, time to see you can live up to that title."
"Jack, please, you have to listen to me, I don't want to duel you right now. Yusie had told me about your mark as well. This Mark of the Crimson Dragon…" She immediately showed him her own mark, the mark of the Crimson Dragon's flame, pulling her coat's right sleeve. It was as visible to him as it was to her and Yusei. "... This Crimson Dragon, the same Dragon that is also connected to my Clear Wing Synchro Dragon… It is obviously telling us something. We have to figure this out, but probably not by dueling each other!"
"Quite! You know why we are here, we are here for a Turbo Duel! And just to make it a bit more interesting there are cameras around the arena that will be showing our Turbo Duel to your home State of Tokorozawa." Jack exclaimed as Nozomi looked around to see the cameras were set up throughout the dueling arena's track. He smirked before he then began gunning his Duel Runner's engine, Nozomi - seeing that she couldn't get to him through words - was in hot pursuit. "Speed World Field Spell… ON!"
Looks like there is definitely no going back now… Nozomi said in her thoughts as she said out loud… "Speed World Field Spell… ON!"
"DUEL MODE ENGAGED. AUTOPILOT STANDING BY."
"Let's Duel!" The two said in unison.
Nozomi Moritomo: 4000
Jack Atlas: 4000
Ai just managed to get to the front bleachers. Just in time to see Jack and Nozomi zoom on by on their Duel Runners at nearly full speed and she watched them keep on going. In her mind, she was just in time to see this all go down.
"Come on Nozomi! Kick that guy's butt!"
And indeed, in Nozomi's home state of Tokorozawa, everyone was watching her Turbo Duel with Jack Atlas. Many - including the brunette's own mother - began to worry that she was going to lose this duel and possibly lose Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. But others - including the Rest, the duelists, and kids that Nozomi knew - were cheering her on. They all had firm faith in her abilities and her Deck to beat Jack Atlas in this Turbo Duel, to show him that he is not really the best in the world.
"Go Nozomi! Go, Go, Go!" Said her friends in the Rest.
"Hey, Tomomori's kid is on the television! Is she actually dueling Jack Atlas right now? She may lose big time!" Said the folks in the Moritomo Family restaurant.
They all had something to say in this situation.
They both turned on that Speed World Field Spell, their world changing color as the Field Spell was activated. And just as Nozomi managed to catch up with Jack Atlas, the two of them agreed the first one to make it to the finish line would make the first turn. So Nozomi decided on to do all she can to start this first turn, and guns the engine of her custom "Kamasaki" H1 Mach III Duel Runner - despite it having a little less horsepower than Jack's Phoenix Whirlwind, but it does have the better top speed than the ladder.
She slowly started to gain on him, and it looked like she was going to get ahead of the Dueling Superstar when Jack quickly turned into Nozomi, crashing into causing her - for the moment - to lose control, but managed to regain control. Though, that wasn't enough for her as she was second to the finish line.
"Looks like I am the one going first, and I am not going to hold back on you, kid. Draw!" He declared as he drew his first card. "And I'll start by Normal Summoning Soul Resonator from my Hand."
A burst of flame had appeared before one of Jack's famous Resonator Monsters had appeared on one of his Monster Card Zones with his tuning fork and its mallet letting out a small grin on his face.
"His effect then activates, since he was Normal Sumnmoned - I can add a Level Four or Lower Fiend Monster from my Deck to my Hand." So he then pulled the Fiend Monster from his Deck. He looked at it and he smiled at it. "And now, since I already have a Fiend Tuner like my Soul Resonator, I can Special Summon my Red Lotus King, Flame Crime from my Hand!"
Flames then appeared on the Monster Card Zone opposite to Soul Resonator, it formed into a pillar before the glaring eyes of a beast appeared. It was then his Red Lotus King, Flame Crime burst through the pillar of fire with a mighty roar that would cause many to tremble before it. And then it fell in line with Soul Resonator, its flames blowing in the wind that was created by the Duel Runners.
"And since he was Special Summoned - I can inflict four hundred damage for each FIRE Monsters on my field to you! Red Lotus King, Flame Crime… Show her what I mean! Go Red Lotus Scorcher!"
Red Lotus King then unleashed a pair of fireballs upon Nozomi, causing them to explode around her, causing her to gasp in pain, and those gasps turning to screams the flames began to envelop her.
Ai and the folks of Tokorozawa could only sit and watch this happening to the brunette as they watched her take the hit. And they watched as the flames actually dissipated to see her in pain for a few seconds, but relieved to see that she was now fighting the pain.
She was breathing a bit heavily as she began looking back up at Jack with her eyes that were filled to brim with a steely determination to win this. Not out of popularity, but to make sure to knock some sense into this man that Yusei used to call a dear friend. To keep trying to tell this guy that there is something more to these marks than what they actually know right now, and it is much better to work together rather than fight each other constantly. But she realized there is no possible way to talk this out by this point.
Nozomi Moritomo: 3200
Jack Atlas: 4000
"But I am not done yet, next I tune my Level Three Red Lotus King, Flame Crime with my Level Three Soul Resonator!"
Soul Resonator hits the mallet against its tuning fork turning into a trio of Synchro Rings as Red Lotus King, Flame Crime flew up after them. It only took a few seconds before the fire beast managed to catch up with those green rings, being enveloped by these Synchro Rings, turning into three stars - the stars that make up its level.
"The Soul and Fire become one. All shall know, here and now, the name here will be heard! SYNCHRO SUMMON! Level Six, Red Rising Dragon!"
The two then began to be enveloped in a bright pillar of light, but that light turned into a big swirling flame. Flame that turned into Red Rising Dragon - which let out a roar out in the air.
"Since Red Lotus King was used as a Synchro Material, I can send a Normal Trap from my Deck to the Graveyard." And that is what he did, he chose his Normal Trap Card, and sent it to the Graveyard. "And now, I activate the effect of Red Rising Dragon - I can Special Summon a Resonator from my so I resurrect Soul Resonator!"
And soon the flames of Soul Resonator began pouring out of the Graveyard Zone until it appeared, finally turning into the Resonator itself.
"And since I already control a Level Five or Higher Dark Monster on my field, I can now Special Summon Vision Resonator from my Hand." He went on just as another portal opened to allow Vision Resonator - much different from its cousin Soul Resonator with parts of a staff that almost looked out of the ordinary, the orb of its mallet a blood red, and its horns being more like bat wings. "Next, I will now immediately tune Level Six Red Rising Dragon with my Level Two Vision Resonator! The pulse of the king now forms a line here! Witness the power of the rumbling heavens! SYNCHRO SUMMON! My very soul, Red Dragon Archfiend!"
And with those two monsters came the ace monster the great Red Dragon Archfiend; a claw appearing out of the light, then an arm, and then finally the entire appearance of the giant beast. It's fiery golden eyes burning with the rage and power of a great leviathan. Letting out a roar directly at the brunette - who was amazed and shocked to see this Synchro Monster was already on the field.
Nozomi was hoping that he wouldn't be able to summon the Red Dragon Archfiend on his first turn, but she now knew that he was able to summon his Red Dragon Archfiend at will, but what concerned her was this… Why would he summon his ace Synchro Monster on his first turn? It would ultimately destroy itself due to its own effect. And she also knew that this wouldn't be Jack's style - to allow Red Dragon Archfiend to be destroyed. He must have planned out this before coming to the dueling arena.
"And since Vision Resonator was used as Synchro Material - I can now add a Spell or Trap Card from my Deck to my Hand that specifically lists Red Dragon Archfiend. And I chose this card, Red Dragon Vase. And I will now activate it - now that I already control Red Dragon Archfiend, I can now Draw 2 Cards from my Deck!"
And this is what he did.
"And now, I place two cards face-down and end my turn. Your move."
"Too bad both of your monsters have to go to the Graveyard thanks to your Red Dragon Archfiend's effect." Nozomi pointed out to him.
"Not if I activate this! The Trap Card Red Reign!" He cut in just as his Trap Card revealed itself. "I can protect my Red Dragon Archfiend from his own effect, but I have to banish all other monsters I control that are not higher than Red Dragon Archfiend itself. So I can now banish my Soul Resonator, and Red Dragon Archfiend is safe."
With the disappearance of Soul Resonator, Red Dragon Archfiend began glowing with a red aura around him. This was to show that the effect of the Red Reign Trap Card was doing its job.
"Alright then, my turn… I draw!" Nozomi declared, pulling out a card from her Deck. She looked at it to see it was actually the Spell CardSpeedroid Scratch. So she added it to her Hand - along with Speedroids Taketomborg, and Terrortop. In addition to those two cards were the Trap Card Magnetic Force and the Spell Cards Speedroid Recovery, and Magnet Reverse. So she knew what to do.
"Since there are monsters only on your field, I can Special Summon Speedroid Terrortop from my Hand." She said as the Speedroid appeared with the tops acting like a snake. "And since I summoned him - I can add another Speedroid from my Deck to my Hand, and I choose good old Speedroid Double Yoyo. And next I play the Spell Card Speedroid Scratch; this allows me to add a Speedroid from my Deck to my Hand - at the cost of sending a Speedroid from my Hand to the Graveyard."
So, she pulled Speedroid Rubberband Plane and then sent Taketomborg straight to the Graveyard.
"And now, I Normal Summon Double Yoyo to the field!" she continued just as the portal opened to reveal the Speedroid racing out of the portal at a quick pace. "And since he is Normal Summoned - I can Special Summon my Taketomborg from the Graveyard."
And soon, Double Yoyo reached into the portal to the Graveyard, and helped Speedroid Taketomborg out of the Graveyard.
"And since a Speedroid is Special Summoned - I will now Special Summon Speedroid Rubberband from my Hand."
With that a fourth Speedroid Monster, she then decided to play her next card.
"Next, I play the Effect of Speedroid Taketomborg - by tributing him, I am then allowed to Special Summon a Speedroid Tuner from my Deck and I choose Speedroid Fuki-Modoshi Piper from my Deck."
Another portal immediately opened out of the little sparks created by Taketomborg. And out jumped Fuki-Modoshi Piper, bouncing around like a bouncy ball for a bit before stopping, letting out a pose with a smile on her face. She then lined up with the other Speedroids.
"Now I tune both Level Four Double Yoyo with Level Four Fuki-Modoshi Piper! I Synchro Summon Hi-Speedroid Kitedrake!"
With the two monsters came a machine-like Dragon that slithered around like a serpent and started flying just above Nozomi by a few inches.
"So… You chose not to summon your Clear Wing Synchro Dragon?" Jack inquired with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh, don't worry, he is the best for last, Jack." She told him as Kitedrake began to glow a malachite green. "I now activate one of his two effects. I can destroy all other cards on the field, this includes your Red Dragon Archfiend!"
Kitedrake then rushed up into the air until it was consumed by the air around it, turning it into a giant spear. A green spear that was heading straight for the space between the two Turbo Duelists. It was a move that was going to dictate the start of a long battle between Nozomi and Jack Atlas. A long duel that would determine as to who gets what. Would Jack Atlas seize Clear Wing Synchro Dragon from Nozomi Moritomo? Or would the brunette Turbo Duelist be able to get Stardust Dragon?
To be continued in Chapter Eight…
