Ness cringed when Nana sat next to him. He scooted further away from her.

Nana: "That's crazy that you're here!"

Ness: "Is it though? I'm always here."

Nana: "I've been getting into books too. We've got so much in common."

Ness: (Suure we do.) *Rolls eyes*

Nana: "Oooh still as sassy as ever. I like it."

Ness: "Can you leave me alone?"

Nana: *Scoffs* "That's no way to talk to a friend."

Nana: "So, now that we have the same hobby, whatcha readin'? I'm curious."

Ness: ["Sure, ignore me I guess."]

She grabbed his book and looked at the cover.

Ness: "H-hey!"

He snatched it back from her.

Nana: "How to know if she's interested? Really, Ness?"

He blushed and looked away.

Nana: "Who is this girl?"

Ness: "I'm not telling you."

Nana couldn't help but feel jealous.

Nana: "I wanna know. Who is she? Is she cuter than me?"

Ness: "Leave me alone."

Nana: "Come on, I just wanna know. I ain't gonna talk to her or anything."

Ness: "Like I believe that."

Nana: "Who is she?"

Ness: "I'm not telling you. Please leave me alone."

Nana: "Is it that Pokemon Trainer girl?"

Ness: "What? No."

Nana: "Wow, I'm surprised."

Ness: "Nana, go away."

Nana: "I'm gonna keep bothering you until you tell me."

Ness: "Why do you care?"

Nana: "Because you're my friend and I'm interested in my friend's love life. I can help."

Ness: "You also love to create drama, so no, I'm not telling you anything. You'll mess up my chances."

Nana: "No I won't!"

Ness: "Shhh, we're in a library."

Nana scoffed and rolled her eyes.

Ness: "Can you leave me alone now? I'm trying to read in peace."

Nana: "Ness, I'm trying to make this work."

Ness: "Eww, don't say it like that. You make it sound like we were a thing."

Nana: "Why're you so disgusted by me?"

Ness: "Because you're an awful person."

Nana: "No I'm not and your friend Toon agrees with me."

Ness let out a quiet chuckle.

Ness: "Nice try, but Toon Link came back to his senses."

Nana: "What're you talking about?"

Ness: "He found out you were trying to manipulate the group."

Nana: "No I wasn't. I've only been speaking the truth."

Ness: "Look, I know what you're trying to do and it's not going to work. At the end of the day, you took advantage of Nate and that's that."

Nana: "No I didn't!"

The librarian looked over and gave the two a rude stare.

Ness: "Shhh. You're too loud."

Nana: "I'm so tired of you accusing me of that."

Ness: "I mean that's what happened."

Nana: "You weren't there."

Ness: "He's lied a lot in his life, but when he told me about you, he genuinely looked broken."

Nana: "It's called acting."

Ness: "He wasn't acting. I could tell."

Nana: "I can't believe you're trusting the liar."

Ness: "His case is complicated. He… Wait a minute, why am I explaining this to you?"

Nana: "I deserve an explanation for the way you guys are treating me."

Ness: "You know what, no. I don't need to explain shit."

He got up from his seat and put the book back in its rightful place. He then left the library, but of course Nana followed behind.

Nana: "Wait! Ness, come back!"

Ness: "No."

She grabbed his wrist and he aggressively swiped it away while giving her a dirty look.

Ness: "Don't touch me."

Nana: "Please, I don't want this to be the end. We're friends. We've been through so much together."

Ness: "Not really. We were never that close."

Nana: "Don't do this…"

Ness: *Sighs* "The fact that you're not even telling me the truth about the whole situation makes me not like you, Nana."

Nana: "I am telling the truth!"

Ness: "This is why we can't be friends. Well actually it's because you're a rapist."

Nana: "I'm not!"

Ness: "You believe that men can't get raped so… Yeah, I don't trust you."

Nana: "They can't! It's women that are always the target."

Ness: "I can't be friends with you."

Nana: "Hold on, let me rephrase that. Men can get raped if it's by another guy, but if it's a girl I mean come on. Men don't care. All they care about is getting some at the end of the day if it's a woman."

Ness: *Sighs* "I don't feel like explaining to you why that's toxic."

Nana: "Ness, can you please give me a second chance? I want us to restart ok."

Ness: "No, I'm not going to give you a second chance."

She stopped in her tracks and started crying. Ness looked back and immediately felt bad.

Ness: (Just ignore it, Ness. Keep walking.)

He pushed through the mental turmoil. He continued to walk and made it back to his room. He went to his desk and sat on his gaming chair.

He let out a long sigh. The guilt was bothering him. He needs something to distract himself. He took out his notebook. He started drawing Tina, but mid-draw he realized how creepy it was. He ripped the paper off, crumbled it, and threw it in the trash. He's being cringe again. He can't be doing that.

Instead, he went online and logged onto Twitter. Instinctively, he went on Tina's page and started looking at her photos. God, she's so hot~ No! He's internet stalking her. That's creepy. He closed the Twitter tab and logged onto League instead.

The entire time he was playing, he was out of it. He was thinking about the kiss. He wished he was prepared. He had no clue Tina was going to do that. It came out of nowhere! It makes sense though. She was drunk… He sighed. She was drunk.

Announcer: "You have been slain."

Ness: "I know…"

He wasn't doing well in his game at all. He shouldn't be feeling like this. His crush literally kissed him, but he couldn't help but think of it as a bad experience. It would've been better if she wasn't drunk. He wished it meant something to her like it did with him.

Argh! Why does it have to be so complicated? Does she like him or not? He couldn't read her. Is he stupid or something? Is he missing any hints? Are there any hints at all?

Dammit, he wished he checked out that book, but if anyone came over to his room and saw it, that would be the end of his credibility. He cannot let his friends know he has a crush on a girl otherwise he won't hear the end of it.

He can already hear Sonic teasing him. The hedgehog is definitely going to use this information to embarrass him in the future. He couldn't let that happen, therefore no book sadly.

Oh! Someone texted him. He checked his phone and saw that it was his crush.

Ness: I just wanted to make sure you were ok. I really care about you and I would hate myself if something bad happened that night.

Ness: You think so?

Tina: im glad i met u

He felt remarkably happy. She said he's different from all the guys she's hung out with. Does this mean that they're meant to be?

He leaned back in his chair, stared at the ceiling, and grinned a toothy grin. If he keeps hanging out with her like this, he definitely has a chance. The fact that he went from not talking to her to texting her on the daily is proof enough that they could become something more.

Nate walked inside Electra's house. It looked all cutesy. Pink and white were the main themes going on.

Electra: "So, what can I do to get that pizza for free?"

He bit his lip and clapped his hands together.

Nate: "I mean for starters we could make out."

Electra: "Is that all?"

Nate: "We could do other things too."

Electra: "Like what?"

Nate: "Guess you'll have to find out."

He was ashamed of himself. At least he was able to catch himself this time, but that's only because her hair reminded him of Lucas. If the blonde knew he messed around with his boss and almost with some random girl, he would be crushed. Wait, but they're not dating. Lucas is in love with Ness, not him. Why would he care?

The thought of Lucas not even caring what Nate does stung. He was desperate for the blonde's approval. All he wants is to be with him again.

He thought about his conversation with Electra. She respected his goal. They both have the same issue, yet they're going two different paths. Even though he knows Lucas will never love him again, he at least wanted to stop using sex as a form of distraction and escape. To him, it felt unhealthy. In fact, he needs to take action right now.

He took out his phone and texted his boss Kimberly.
