Ash was rearing to go as he sat impatiently with the rest of the faculty.
Today was the beginning of The Treasure Hunt, the most important event of the year for Naranja Academy.
The problem was that he had to sit through Clavell's speech.
The treasure hunt sounded like an amazing idea to Ash since he was someone who learned better outside of a traditional classroom.
But that just made sitting through Clavell's speech, which seemed to go on forever, even worse.
Ash was almost asleep by the time Clavell finally declared the treasure hunt officially open.
As soon as the words were out of Clavell's mouth Ash was gone ready to go out and train.
With the world coronation underway a battle could happen at any time he wanted to be ready if anyone challenged him. He definitely would as the number 1 trainer in the world.

"Beartic use Icicle Spear!"
"Counter it with Rock Blast!" Boldore's Rock Blast was able to cut through the Icicles defeating Beartic.
"Beartic is unable to battle Boldore is the winner the victory goes to Ash Ketchum"
As Ash had predicted plenty of people were waiting to challenge him.
He already had 3 battles all of which he had won with Corphish, Hawlucha, and Boldore.
Taking a break from battling he got a phone call from Geeta.
"Hello?"
"Greetings Mr. Ketchum I wanted to tell you that many of the academy students will be having their first gym battles I was wondering if you wanted to watch with me?"
"Of course! I'd love to watch"
"Excellent I'll save you a spot"
If Ash wasn't going to be partaking in gym battles of his own watching new students would be a fun way to pass the time.
He was number one in the world he could take a break from battling for now.
"You want to watch a gym battle Pikachu!"
"Pika!"
"Tito!" Sprigatito appeared at Ash's feet startling him and Pikachu.
"Gah! Where did you come from?"
Sprigatito purred and wrapped her tail around Ash's leg.
"You better not make sneaking out of you're Pokeball a habit" Ash chided, Sprigatito only purred in response.
He was sure that she was mocking him.

Julianna tapped her foot anxiously against the floor well she waited for her turn to battle Katy.
She had just seen Nashi defeat her with a Sunkern and Dunsparce landing the final blow with Dunsparce's Roll Out.
That was 15 minutes ago and she would be expected any moment to be out against Katy.
She had Woopers Toxic Spikes which she was planning on leading with and in their latest training Quaxly had learned Wing Attack.
She had seen Jairzinho's attitude change since that encounter with Iron Valiant. He seemed more determined than ever to be the best.
He was going all out at training to the point he almost managed to knock out Wooper even without using water moves.
There was no way of getting more prepared now so she steeled herself for her gym battle.
"Wooper Vamos!"
"Getting straight to it I see" Katy laughed "In that case, Tarountula go!"
"Use Bug Bite!"
"Toxic Spikes!"
Tarountula lunged at Wooper biting onto the side of her head.
Wooper opened her mouth and fired a purple orb into the air, splitting into many smaller spikes that landed across the battlefield.
"Use Bug Bite again and again!" Tarountula kept biting onto Woopers head.
"Shake it off!" Wooper shook violently throwing Tarountula off.
"Poison Sting!"
Wooper launched a poison barb at Tarountula poisoning it.
"Poison Sting again!"
"Counter it with Struggle Bug!" the swarm of small red needles canceled out the poison sting.
"Mud Shot!"
"Dodge it then use Bug Bite!" Tarountula dodged the balls of mud leaping at Wooper.
Before it could bite Wooper, her tail glowed purple and she swung it around at Tarountula.
Julianna tried not to look shocked that Salvador had just learned Poison Tail.
"Use Struggle Bug!"
"Take it then Poison Tail!"
Wooper stood firm against the Struggle Bug jumping forward with Poison Tail.
"Use Sticky Web!" Tarountula launched a ball of webs that spread out across the battlefield.
Right before Wooper struck with Poison Tail.
Tarountula rolled to Katy's feet and fainted.
"Oh my, how do I roll out from here?" Katy laughed "Teddiursa go!"
Landed on the Toxic Spikes getting poisoned.
But once the poison was activated Teddiursa got enveloped in a red aura.
The Toxic Spikes had activated Teddiursa's guts ability.
"My sweet little Pokémon come out of your cocoon and come into your own!" Katy lightly lobed her Tera Orb at Teddiursa causing a lime green bug tera crystal to appear over his head.
"Mud Shot!"
"Counter with Metal Claw!" with the Guts boost Teddiursa was able to break through the Mud Shot with ease nearly swiping at Wooper in the process.
"Poison Tail!"
"Take it then use Fury Swipes!"
Teddiursa took the Poison Tail to the chest and then attacked with Fury Swipes because of the angle Wooper was at it sent her falling onto her back.
"Now use Fury Cutter!" Teddiursa slashed Wooper in a burst of lime-green energy knocking her out.
Teddiursa stood victorious but took another tick of damage from the poison.
"Quaxly Vamos!" Quaxly landed on the Sticky Web slowing him down.
This was not a good situation having a slowed-down Quaxly against a guts-boosted Teddiursa.
Her hands were sweating as she fumbled for her Tera Orb hurling it silently at Jairzinho causing the water Tera Crystal to appear on his head.
"Use Fury Cutter!"
"Wing Attack!"
Despite the type advantage, the Fury Cutter was able to overpower the Wing Attack.
Since Fury Cutter built-in power just the one hit did a lot to Quaxly.
"Use Fury Cutter again!"
"Aqua Jet behind Teddiursa!" Quaxly used Aqua Jet to shoot past Teddiursa avoiding the Fury Cutter.
"Aqua Jet again!" Quaxly slammed into Teddiursa dealing heavy damage from the terstalization.
"Use Fury Swipes!" Teddiursa slashed Quaxly multiple times.
"Water Gun!" the water gun was enough to repel Teddiursa.
"Wing Attack!"
"Counter with Fury Cutter!" the Fury Cutter still overpowered the Wing Attack pushing Quaxly back.
"Aqua Jet!" Quaxly shot forward with Aqua Jet slamming into Teddiursa before he got the chance to retaliate.
In a burst of lime green crystals, Teddiura collapsed to the ground.
"Teddiursa is unable to battle Quaxly is the winner the victory goes to Julianna"
"Congratulations that was quite the treat to see you battle" Katy walked over and shook her hand.
"Oh ya thank you" Julianna replied stiffly still coming down from the battle.
"I believe this belongs to you" Katy handed her the bug badge and ™ for Pounce which Julianna almost dropped from all the sweat on her hands.

"Nymble use Pounce!" Katy ordered.
"Counter with Aerial Ace!" Rinto responded his Oshawott overpowering Nymble and knocking it out.
"Pretty impressive battles huh?" Ash said cheerfully.
"I'll hold my judgment until I see some more battles" Geeta replied "But it is always enjoyable to watch our new students"
Pikachu, Sprigatito, and Wattrel were all watching enthralled by the battles.
Wait.
"Wait a minute when did you get here?"
The Wattrel didn't respond all its attention focused on the gym battle.
Ash could see her eyes light up when Rinto's Oshawott defeated Teddiursa with a final Water Gun.
She seemed so focused when Ash got a phone call that she didn't even notice him.
"Hello?"
"Ash good to hear from you again" Professor Oak replied from the other end.
"Oh hi, Professor Oak! Great to hear from you too, what do you need?"
"Well I got a request from a man named Virgil he said he wanted to challenge you to a world coronation battle"
Ash's eyes lit up "Of course!"
Ash remembered Virgil, he had won the Unova league the year Ash participated. Ash knew Unova wasn't his best performance and a part of him always wished that he got to battle Virgil.
"Excellent he told me he was already on his way to Paldea I'll call up Geeta and arrange a stadium to host the match"

Hopefully gym battles/battles in general aren't to boring I try to balance them so there not to fast or slow and still engaging let me know if there's anything I could do better
