Chapter 8 befriending Yoshino Himekawa

Naruto was sitting right next to the spirit, Naruto is speaking through the earpiece, "yeah she's with me right now."

Kotor nodded, "good now let's get on with this next date, you should start with...?"

Naruto cut her off, "look no offense the advice you and the team give me are really not good, I'll come and ask you for something when it's necessary, right now I should do this on my own."

Naruto turn off the earpiece and look at the spirit, he couldn't help but felt something familiar, those eyes, scared and alone, he felt like he remembered someone who had those same eyes.

"Listen let's go find Yoshinon together all right?" Naruto ask in a low calm voice, the spirit nodded as they went around the rubble to try to find Yoshinon.

Naruto was doing most of the work to make sure the small Spirit would not get herself hurt when it came from picking up rocks and rubble.

"I know you want to find Yoshinon so badly but I don't want you getting hurt some of these rocks are heavy and also could be sharp I don't want you to take a chance cutting your hands," Naruto explain as they kept on looking.

What felt like an hour the two felt their stomachs growl, "hey why don't we take a break and go get something to eat?"

She nodded and took Naruto's hand, they went over to shido place, going inside, the spirit went to sit on the couch and Naruto put on some TV.

Naruto took shido out of the living room and explain the situation they were in, "listen I don't know what my parents were talking about but I do believe they know about AST, I didn't understand when I first heard about it through a conversation they were having in private, but I don't want to take any risk so if it's all right can I make some food for her here?"

Shido nodded, "of course you can."

Naruto smile, "thanks I knew I can count on you, you're definitely a good friend."

A few minutes later Naruto was making some lunch, shido was sitting down next to the spirit.

"You know something we never got a chance to know your name, is it really Yoshinon?" Naruto ask as he brought over three plates of eggs, toast and bacon.

She shook her head, "no, my name is Yoshino... it's Yoshino Himekawa."

Naruto went over to get some drinks, "you do love that puppet a lot, it must means a lot to you, I mean most kids would most likely just go buy a new toy."

Yoshino looks sad, "she's not a toy, she's my best friend, my only friend, all I can remember was that, I was alone but Yoshinon was always there by my side, I wish I was more like her, but I'm not."

Naruto came back with the drinks and smiled, "well I think you're fine just the Way you are, there's something about you that reminds me of someone."

Yoshino looks surprised hearing that, "really... You really mean that?"

Naruto smiled, "Of course I do, listen I know I may not know much about you, but me and shido are here and we're going to protect you and help you find Yoshinon, and that's a promise we're not going to break."

Shido smiles, "he's right, we're going to help you find Yoshinon."

The three eat for a few minutes until Naruto heard his phone ring and went outside to take it.

When Naruto left the living room he look at it to see it was just some number, "huh? I thought it was someone I knew, maybe it's a spam?"

Naruto was going to let it rain out but then the phone without Naruto even swiping it, the phone pick up.

Naruto look confused, "hello?"

For a moment no one said anything but then a woman's voice was heard, "hello Big brother, I miss you so much, I'm coming to get you soon."

Before Naruto could answer anything the phone hang up.

Naruto eyes went wide, "who the hell was that!?"

Naruto went back only the see tohka and shido, Yoshino was nowhere to be seen and suddenly tohka turn around and slam the door.

Naruto move quickly over to shido, "what happened?"

Shido looked at Naruto with a nervous look, "I was telling Yoshino what was a kiss when burst into the living room and then misunderstand what was happening, Yoshino vanish and tohka got angry and turn around and left."

Naruto is definitely not happy about this, "you've got to be kidding me, she's gone again and we still have tohka being jealous over something that's just a misunderstanding!"

Naruto screams before running to the bathroom only to scream more, "dame it! dame it! dame it! dame it! dame it!"

When Naruto finally got himself under control he got himself some water before running out, "I have to go!"

Naruto couldn't just leave Yoshino alone wherever she was, he had to go find her and protect her, he knew he had to.

Running around the city in hopes that Naruto would find her, Naruto could only hope that was as he had no idea where Yoshino could possibly be.

Remembering those eyes, he remembered there was another child, someone who was sad, alone and afraid, he hated that feeling, he hated remembering that but yet he doesn't remember when it happened.

Naruto ran into an alleyway but the water caused him to slip and hit his head knocking him out cold.

In Naruto dream

Naruto woke up and heard a boy crying, he found a brown door in the endless void and open up to find a small room.

The room had barely anything in it, a bed, a dresser and some things but they were broken toys and he saw under the bed there was a boy that had blonde hair, he look no more than five, he was crying over a broken stuffed animal.

"Mr Fox, I miss you Mr Fox," the boy kept crying, Naruto try to look at the boy's face but the boy was making sure his face could not be seen.

"Hey it's all right, I'm here, I'm...?" Everything went black again and Naruto gasp as he woke back up.

Getting up quickly, "Mr Fox? Wait a minute... Why does Mr fox sound familiar?" Naruto ask himself but then shook his head as he went off to find Yoshino.

After an hour of searching the specialquake alarm went off, "wait is that a spirit? Please don't let it be Yoshino again, not her again please?"

Naruto ran where the spacelquake was and as he was heading there he noticed up in the sky he saw the AST chasing after a spirit and it was Yoshino, "OH NO! THIS IS NOT GOOD!"

Naruto frowned as he was chasing after hoping he could catch up, Naruto was screaming, "Yoshino! Yoshino! Yoshino!"

Naruto eventually got blast away by a snowstorm, "where is all this snow coming from now!?"

Getting back onto his feet nor to look up to see a giant rabbit, it was far more bigger than before, Naruto realize this must have been the full power of Yoshino.

The members of the AST had managed to restrain her using giant nets, Naruto ran over and started yelling, "STOP IT! STOP IT YOU'RE SCARING HER!"

Naruto screams were met with no answer as the members of the AST were too focused on the spirit but things only got worse when Yoshino summoned a giant storm forming a tornado to keep everyone out and everyone away from Yoshino.

Naruto was not going to let that tornado get in the way even though it means he has to go through it, however just before he could he was immediately hit by something causing him to fell onto the ground again.

Naruto quickly cover his face before hitting the ground, he then roll over to find shido with Yoshinon.

"You found it!" Naruto said and shido nodded.

Both knew they could not wait for the storm to pass they had to go in now.

"I'm going with you," Naruto said as shido shook his head.

"No it's way too dangerous!" Shido said but Naruto refuse.

"I cannot let you go in there alone, we will go together! And no matter what I am going to help you get to Yoshino, she needs us both!" Naruto explain as he took shido wrapping his arms around him and the two walk in together.

It felt like a thousand hits going through their body cutting them up but they did not give up.

No matter how painful it was they couldn't stop now, they needed to kept going.

When they finally made it to the eye of the storm, it was an empty void, the only thing that was lit up was the robotic rabbit and Yoshino was crying on top of it.

When Naruto saw her he grabbed the puppet from shido and put it on his hand, and said, "have no fear, Yoshinon is here!"

Yoshino ran over to them and cried, the two boys collapsed onto their knees but Naruto use the puppet and spoke with it, "Naruto and shido, "these two have kept their promise, they told me they promised you to bring me back to you and they did, they are great friends to Yoshinon but you Yoshino will always be my best friend and my number one friend."

Yoshino started crying before hugging Naruto and shido, "thank you, thank you both."

Naruto smiled as he began to tear up but keeping a smile on his face, "no problem, where does happy we were able to keep our promise to you."

Shido nodded, "listen, Yoshino, we need to seal away your powers so the AST can't come after you again, and the only way we can do that if we kiss you."

Yoshino look scared, "what?"

Naruto frown at shido, "sorry he has this problem where he can't explain things right."

"Hey! I explained it but...!?" Shido was cut off as Yoshino use both of her hands to cut their cheeks and brought their heads closer together before coming up to them and giving them a share kiss before backing away her head.

Both look surprised but then her powers began to be sealed away as she look confused having no idea what was going on.

But as her powers began to seal away so did the tornado began to disappear along with the rain and snow.

Looking up at the sky there was a beautiful rainbow as Yoshino look up in all, she had never seen something so beautiful before as it's been so long since the last time she saw the clear sky.

A few minutes later a car came over and it was Raina, she brought a towel and cover Yoshino and help all three got into the car before driving off.

Naruto smiled as he slowly doze off to sleep.
