Madness, horror, and chaos that could be mistaken from a scene in a horror movie after yesterday's Midtown massacre as a supervillain attack caused massive fatality on a number of students and teacher. Among them is the supervillain known as Menace, who is now currently in custody. What surprised many is the identity of the villain named Janice Foswell. Age 16 and a student of Hawthorne Academy. Despite its prestigious reputation the thought of a student as a supervillain in a school like that would surely add controversy. Let's hope that's the only thing they would have to worry about. And if it wasn't bad enough a police department filled with New York's finest in one place were brutally gun down and killed. Leaving the city vulnerable to an attack from further gang violence. I don't know about you folks but would it be a good idea for more super-powered vigilantes in the streets? That is something we'll have to wait and see as a press conference is being announced later this afternoon. Let's hope it's something that matters for once

Hearing this, Kate was left stunned and filled with disbelief. Hearing that the person she's been spending with is also the superhero known as Spider-Man. Leaving her shocked and confused by this revelation

Kate was taken off by this as she stood silent and looked at him with worry in her eyes

Peter Parker:You have to, because the road I'm in will likely invite danger, and I can't involve you into this

Peter Parker:Please, Kate. I've already lost people important to me. I'm not willing to lose you too

Kate Bishop:Then don't do this. You don't need to do this!

Kate walked towards him and held his hands tightly. Peter looks at her with surprise and sees her eyes filed with worry over him

Kate Bishop:… Peter… Please… You don't need to do this

Peter Parker:… I have to. No one else can do this

Kate Bishop:But why?

Peter Parker:Because I have to. I can't just ignore it

Kate Bishop:Everyone believes Spider-Man is dead. This Ronin guy could just disappear. And you. You're here. Peter Parker is here and he's away from danger

Peter Parker:I'm still a gangster

Kate Bishop:So quit while there's still time! You don't have to do this anymore!

Peter Parker:I'm already deep in as it is. I can't just simply quit just like that

Kate Bishop:Well then we'll find a way! There has to be!

Peter Parker:Kate-

Kate Bishop:I know. We can call the police. Maybe they can do something about this! They have to!

Peter Parker:Kate!

Kate Bishop:NO! You can't do this Peter! YOU CAN'T! NOT TO ME! NOT AGAIN!

Peter Parker:What… do you mean?

Kate Bishop:… Tell me this Peter, and be honest with me… Why? Why are you Spider-Man? Why are you out there risking your own life like that? Even now as this Ronin guy… Why? Why do all this?

Kate Bishop:Please Peter…

Peter Parker:… I made a vow to my Uncle Ben. A man who took me in when my parents died, a man who raised me like his own son, a man who was always there for me, and the man I had killed because of me

Kate Bishop:… Killed?

Peter Parker:… Before I had these powers I was bullied a lot as a kid. I was the smartest in my class that I got the best grade then any student in my class, and that paints you a target they can't ignore. I was beaten, bullied, made fun off, humiliated, and just laughed at. All because I was the smartest in my class and I was recognized by the teachers more. To them I was different, and different always get picked on no matter what you are. I've always hated them for that, but my uncle was the one that always calmed me down. Gave me the usual pep talked and said that I'll do something special with my life, and that I would do something great just like my parents. I guess a part of me does believe I would do something great. It wasn't all that, but it was the only thing that kept me going. Whatever the beating I took my Uncle Ben was the only one there for me when I needed it. That was until I got my powers and I feel like I could rule the world. No more bullying. No more getting picked on. No more being humiliated. I finally get to do something I've never been able to do. It felt good doing it. Then there was this wrestling match that offered this huge prize money. I won and that was the only thing that mattered, but I never got the money he promised and I was left angry. Until he was robbed. I could have stopped him, but I didn't. I let him go because it never even bothered me. That's when it happened. That's when my mistake came back to haunt me. The same guy that I let go killed my Uncle Ben

Peter Parker:… I found the guy, I had him, and I wanted to end him… But I remember the one thing he said to me. The last thing he ever said to me. Just because I can do something doesn't mean I should. "With great power must also come great responsibility". Those were the final words my uncle Ben said to me, and those were the words that kept me going. I have the power to do something, and that also means I have to use them responsibly. Never abuse it. Never do any wrong. Never make any excuses. I use these powers I do it in a way that would actually make a difference. To help the people that needed it the most. To be the kind of man I need to be. What my uncle Ben knew I would be

Kate Bishop:… You're doing all of this… because you blamed yourself for what happened to your uncle?

Peter Parker:That's why I need to do this. I can't just allow this to continue or else more people are going to die because of me. I can't just ignore this because-

Kate Bishop:Because if you do you'll just hate yourself even more. Wondering if you'd had done something different to stop if. Never accepting it

Kate Bishop:…

Peter Parker:… I'm sorry Kate, but I can't involve you in this, and that's why I'm telling you to distant yourself from me because I can't forgive myself if anything bad happens to you. I've already lost people that are important to me and I just can't lose you too

Kate Bishop:But… what can you do?

Peter Parker:What I'm always good at. Trying to help people. No matter what it takes

Kate Bishop:And I do what. Just stay out of your way?

Peter Parker:… The people I cared about died because I made a mistake, and what I'm afraid of is making another mistake that would cost your life too

Kate Bishop:Because of my dad?

Kate Bishop:What did he got himself into?

Peter Parker:… I don't know, but it's bad and I think he may be in trouble

Kate Bishop:…

Peter Parker:Kate, listen to me. I'll do whatever it takes and make sure you and your family will be safe. You can count on that

Kate Bishop:And you? You think you can handle all of this?

Peter Parker:Kate-

Kate Bishop:If my dad is involved then you can't just expect to sideline me

Peter Parker:You get involved you put your life and the lives of your family at risk

Kate Bishop:My dad is involved, and that means my family is in trouble and I can't ignore that

Peter Parker:Kate, please

Kate Bishop:No Peter. You can't keep me out of this just because of what happened to your uncle!

Peter Parker:…

Kate Bishop:… I know that feeling because I was the same way. You continue to blame yourself on every failure you've done. All because you still held onto the first guilt so tightly that it became the one motivation to do all this, but all it does it eat you up until it breaks you. So you masked yourself into something you think would protect you and hope things would get better, but all it does is make you into a bigger liar because even though you're motivated with responsibility you're still being fueled by guilt, and you don't know the reason why. It's merely just a way of running away. You'll be stuck and you can't do anything about it

Peter Parker:… I know what I have to do

Kate Bishop:But do you even know what you're doing? Did you even ask for help?

Peter Parker:…

Kate Bishop:… Guilt can change you, but it's not enough to motivate you to move forward. You jump in their all guilt-ridden without thinking you'll only end up making more mistakes. That will only add up to the guilt, and you'll keep thinking to yourself "Could I have done thing differently?"

Peter Parker:… So what do you expect me to do?

Kate Bishop:… You manage it, you learn from it, you understand it, you use it right, and you move forward with the right intention. And it starts with one thing… You forgive

Peter Parker:Forgive?

Kate Bishop:… Here's the thing you didn't know about me, Peter… I was a bad person before. Never cared about anyone else, and I just use people in order to get things that I want, but that was until I met this girl. An innocent girl that was always nice. We were annoyed by that. I was too when I think she was just trying to get some attention. But after knowing her a little bit I guess I was actually starting to not like her less. She was a really good person, and I guess a part of me is starting to look after her, but my friends back then have other ideas and they took advantage to the fact that I was slowly started to become friends with her. What they did to her was horrible and I just couldn't do anything for her, and the way she looked at me… I couldn't forget that. I wasn't there for her and she was bullied so much that it gotten bad. And what's my old friends did made it even worse that she just isolated and later… She tried to kill herself, Peter… and I did nothing

Peter Parker:…

Kate Bishop:… I did a horrible thing to a person who considered me her friend by doing nothing and she had to suffer all of it, and the people who were responsible for it got away with it. I could have too. I could have just ignored it, but seeing her like that… I just couldn't… I couldn't do this to her. To see her dying like that… I can't. So I did the one thing I never thought I would do… I call them out. Expose the people I use to call my so-called shitty friends to clear the name of my only honest friend. Yeah. They hate my guts ever since I outed them, and they all lost something they want. Reputation, recommendations, and the attention. I unintentionally made them lose it all and they hated me for that, but in the end I helped the one person from being broken any further, and you know what she did? She forgave me… She forgave me and I was in tears. That was perhaps the first time in a long time did I felt like crying… She changed my perception on what I should do with my life, and look where I am right now. I owe her for that

Peter Parker:What happen to her?

Kate Bishop:… She was gone… I don't know how, but she was gone

Peter Parker:…

Kate Bishop:… You carry something heavy for this long and you've never been forgiven for that. You go in there and tried to help, but you acted unilaterally and someone gets hurt. So you have to think what be the right choice

Peter Parker:That's the thing… I don't know what the right choice will be. I don't even know if I'm doing the right thing

Kate Bishop:Then let me help you. Let me be there with you. There are people you can count on

Kate Bishop:Peter… You don't have to do this alone anymore… Please…

While filled with doubt, Peter still remembers the death ofMary Jane and Liz by Gwen's hand. This fact still haunts him and fears what will become of her if she gets involved with him, but Peter sees sincerity in her eyes despite being afraid as she held his hands tightly. Seeing that she's not willing to let go and puts him in a position he's not sure how to proceed, but knows he's not willing to lose her

Kate Bishop:…

Peter Parker:… What would you want me to do?

Kate Bishop:… Come with me

Channel 7 Headquarters: Martin Redstone's Office

Whitney is seen sitting inside her boss's office, as Martin sits behind his desk with concern on his face as she looks at her

Martin Redstone:…

Whitney Chang:… So… What seems to be the problem here?

Martin Redstone:… I'm concerned about you. About how you've been doing your job

Whitney Chang:Well I've been doing my job pretty great so far. Considering everything that's happened over these past couple of weeks

Martin Redstone:And yet I've been hearing something very interesting, and I wonder if there's anything else you've been hiding?

Whitney Chang:Like what? I've done my job right and I delivered what's needed

Martin Redstone:You sure about that?

Whitney Chang:I'm a journalist. I stay true with my job like any other good journalists that's left

Martin Redstone:And yet there's been some eye witness report that's been spotting your car on the scene with superheroes coming out of it?

Whitney Chang:…

Martin Redstone:I didn't say anything to the others about this, and I prefer to keep it that way unless I'm sure. And so I have to ask. What have you been doing all this time?

Whitney Chang:… My job. Nothing more

Martin Redstone:And yet you're looking to get yourself involved with super-powered people just so you can get the story that no one else could?

Whitney Chang:I don't know what you're talking about

Martin Redstone:Don't lie to me Whitney!

Martin Redstone:… You got yourself involved with some very interesting people I see, but you can't deny what that would bring in your doorstep

Whitney Chang:I'm aware of that, but that doesn't mean I'm backing down

Martin Redstone:Whitney. I'm being serious here

Whitney Chang:Look Martin. I get what you're saying, but after being with these guys I found something. I don't know what it is yet, but it's big. Maybe serious

Martin Redstone:And that here is what worries me. Because this isn't the first time a big scoop appeared and having you in an unexpected situation, and I remember it clearly because of what it cost you

Whitney Chang:… You're talking about Jacob?

Martin Redstone:… He was a good man. Hell, I liked him enough to consider him my son. A hard-worker that knows how to do his job right. Even if he gets his ass kicked by dipshit bureaucrats that didn't stop him from doing his job. A damn good man he is and we are still sadden by this loss. However, what you've gotten yourself into is exactly the same way he did

Whitney Chang:Well that's the price of being a journalist, and there are always risks

Martin Redstone:You lost both Jacob and your unborn child that day. Do you realize how heart breaking that is? I still remember that day when the doctors told you about it, and when they told you that it's now more difficult for you to conceive

Whitney Chang:Don't you think I know that!? That's why I need to do this. So that no one else would have to go though the same way I did

Martin Redstone:Is that what you believe or is there another reason?

Whitney Chang:Martin

Martin Redstone:You are going to get yourself killed Whitney!

Whitney Chang:So what you expect me to do. Nothing!? I've been on this road to know not to turn back. Yes I'm hanging out with superheroes, yes I go with them on their crazy ride, and no I'm not going ot expose them. You know what I found out of this whole experience? That there is a conspiracy going on in this city and it's been growing from behind the scenes!

Martin Redstone:And you think whatever is happening with this city is what's causing this whole gang war?

Whitney Chang:I know you don't believe it, but I've found some connections involving the likes of Crime-Master and others. All using the "Red Ray Shipping" company to import and exports anything illegal

Martin Redstone:You're talking about the girls that were in one of those containers? There's no evidence to connect that possibility

Whitney Chang:Unless it involves Roxxon

Martin Redstone:Excuse me?

Whitney Chang:Roxxon Corporation were well known for having illegal dealing. Most of which would involve alot of damage to their branding and their reputation, but none of them were charged

Martin Redstone:For lack of evidence

Whitney Chang:Or evidence that were hidden with help from the higher ups. Maybe even political helps. Hell, even the Avengers had hustle with them before, but do you know what else? They have a strong lobbying group that can grant them as much political influence and power as they can

Martin Redstone:Where are you going with this?

Whitney Chang:Roxxon are known for funding organizations and elected officials in order to gain favors, and do you know who funded Mayor Waters's campaign? Roxxon

Martin Redstone:Whitney-

Whitney Chang:You notice something about her right? There have even been news about what she's been doing from behind closed doors

Martin Redstone:Those were just rumors

Whitney Chang:Well we won't know until we dig deeper

Martin Redstone:Whitney. You need to stop

Whitney heads to the door and is about to leave. Until Martin gives her a warning

Martin Redstone:You know what became of the Avengers right? You really want to go there?

Whitney Chang:We had this conversation before, and I'm still not going to change my mind

Martin Redstone:I've lost alot of people before, and I'm not about to lose any more

Whitney Chang:… You don't have to worry about that, Martin. I got the help I needed

Martin Redstone:I'm not even sure if you're making this any worse for me, but I'm not going to sit here and watch you running to die

Whitney Chang:I won't die, and you should know how capable I am since then

Martin Redstone:That won't stop me from worrying, and so I'm still asking you this. Turn away. Don't know any future then you already have

Whitney left the office and heads off, but Martin is seen sitting on his desk as he lights a cigarette and starts smoking. Feeling frustrated, Martin picks up his phone and makes a call

Martin Redstone:Hey. It's me

Walking past a number of gravestones is Frank Castle, wearing his black long coat and black hoodie, as he remembers his family and how they died. Remembering how much he kissed his wife as he held her in his arms, remembering the sound of laughter from his two kids that he enjoys so much, the memory of his daughter wanting to be a doctor when she grows up, the memory of his son dressing up as a superhero he made himself called the Punisher, the memories of him with his family sitting down and watching a movie together, and the memory of his entire family murdered they were gunned down. And what's worse, the killers were both mafia and corrupt cops disguised as gangsters being sent by a corrupt politician and commissioner along with their crime boss ally. Which he remembers hunting them down and killing all of them as he wears a militarized version of the costume his son wore. Remembering the purpose his son said of the Punisher existing to punish bad guys, and now he wears it as a memory and a new purpose was born. Remembering that today was their 13th anniversary of their death as he was last standing 10 years ago. Frank stops and stands in front of his family's tombstone bearing their names. His wife Maria, his daughter Lisa, and his son Frank Jr. Frank stands quietly. Reminiscing all the time he spent taking down crime and corruption that he never had time visiting their graves as he speaks to them

Missy's bed appears to be a complete mess, with her clothes appear to be slightly worn and damaged. A lamp on the floor with a broken bulb, with photos of Missy at a young age broken and damaged. Peter and Kate stood in the room and feel a sense of despair happening and notice one shirt with parts of it covered in traces of blood hiding underneath her bed. And then found a photo underneath Missy's pillow which shows a young Missy with her parents smiling as she's holding a young boy in her arms. Shocking them to realize how bad Missy's been living

Because they thought they can get a better life because of how much they keep hearing of how free America is and the opportunity it can give. They gave it a shot and I was born in good old Dallas, Texas. It was okay for me, but as I grew older I started to take notice of things. Discrimination, prejudice, and racism. I notice them, and all from the people that have the nerve to judge us because we look different to them compared to their own view of civilized people… Dallas was one of the few places they can go because they knew friends and relatives that live there. It worked out alright for a time and I was doing okay. Even made friends, but as time goes by things started to change. The people I thought were my friends turn their backs on me. The neighbors that were welcoming to us slowly started to become suspicious of us. People that knew us didn't even give a shit about up. Didn't help that the government kept making us and every Muslims around the scapegoat for their bullshit. When I was young, we faced a lot of racism that were called from people we didn't expect. Some of my relatives were almost attacked once. Then my friends that I've known for a long time distant themselves from me because their parents says they don't want their kids to be associated with a would-be terrorist! And I was only 8 years old when that happened. Made me depressed to the point were I didn't want to leave the house. Afraid of being assaulted. Our mosque gets attacked, our cemeteries get vandalized, me and any other Muslim families gets spat on or discriminated against it still won't matter. Even if we didn't do anything wrong we're still treated as a suspect. Cops there were never any use because why should they when they haven't even taken things seriously. For me it was something that almost got me killed. This has been going on for years since I was a kid. It was only when I turned 12 and almost got killed is what finally got my parents to finally act. Left my old school and we finally left, and we were lucky that we did

That did not stop my depression. My mind wanted to speak out, but my body couldn't. I was numb that I became so hollow. My parents even kept taking me to a therapist to see how I'm handling mentally. I don't even know how to cry. Instead, it was replaced with anger. The anger that kept on building as I hold in. Guess maybe that's why it happened. Seeing the boy I fell in love with sank my heart and I ran back home and I started crying. My first heartbreak and I was afraid to even speak to anyone. I saw that boy again and he waved, but I never waved back. Seeing him made my blood boil that I want to scream at him, but I walked away and pretend he doesn't exist. Never bothered to see him again. Then at the age of 12 I was in Junior High School. It was scary but I manage to get on alright, and out of it I made a friend. She was Jewish too. We hang out a lot and she was great to be with. I even hang out with some of her friends as well. I felt like I was part of a group of people were I felt I belong. That was until one day there was a protester waving a Palestinian flag and I saw her friends ganging up on him and start calling him names and assaulting him. They were just so awful to him that I couldn't believe that people that nice would become this awful. And that man wasn't the first. Turns out my so-called friends were part of a pro-Zionist group that aims to discredit any criticism. No matter how horrible hey can be

And they didn't even know I was her granddaughter. She never reacted because she expected it, but for me I was furious. I wanted to scream. Then one day I saw them again bullying this old Middle-Eastern man. He was one of the protester that was with my grandmother, and they just started making the worst Islamophobic comment I've heard. And what made it easier since they'll just peg him as a terrorist sympathizer. Seeing that once again reminded me of the rabbi being laughed at like that. And I did what I was unable to do. I stood up to them and I defended the man. They were surprised that a Jewish girl like me would defend a Muslim man like him. But that's were they didn't understand. I defended him because he was a person in trouble, and since he was an old man I yelled at them for being so awful to him. He was an elderly man who did nothing wrong and they would be ashamed of themselves. When they said would I defend this man, I said to them I would because it was the right thing to help a person in need. No matter what race or religion they are. And I repeat the words my grandmother said, and after that people around me started to have my back, and it made them really nervous as they walked away. I was proud of myself back then for doing something that it's right, but in school I was harassed and made fun off, and when they found out that I was the granddaughter of that protester that said those words they kept calling me names. Some of the teachers tries to stop this and threatened expulsion, but that's when I found that one of the group's parents was a donor of the school. Which made it harder for the teachers to take any action since the head teacher is in his pockets. No matter how people tried to help I was, and that got the attention from my mother and we moved away straight to New York. My powers emerged later on then

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Holy crap I'm finally done with this chapter. To all those waiting I am so very sorry that it took so long. I was suppose to put this up last week but I had to look over the plot again to check I'm not making any mistakes

Another is that I have two other fanfictions to deal with. The "Ultimate Rewrite" story has just reached the end of volume 5 and I have plans for volume 6 later on. Then there is "The Fake Wedding Ablaze and Madness" which I had problems with the plot and I need to work on it. The 3rd story has problems that have not been dealt with yet. However, I have a long game for this particular story and I thought about putting my other stories on hold so I can focus on this full time. Because of he fact that it has gained so may attention and I feel there are things I need to improve on this

I have other things I need to take care of in my personal life like work, and I have to take care of my family, but with spare time this story will be my only focus as I will try to make up for lost time. Again, I am very sorry that it has taken this long and I will try to make it better

Kitty opening up to Carmen as the two will interact more together. Molten Man will now take his first step as a hero. Eddie Brock will face a decision that will decide his future. George is now becoming more involved with the heroes as a new role will be presented to him. Felicia Hardy has now turned traitor. And lastly, Kate will become more involved with Peter's superhero life as they will become more closer together then before as her guilted past will fuel her desire to help him
