After a semester of rejecting her destiny as the new Evil Queen, Raven had no choice but to sign her name in the Storybook of Legends. She needed to confront King Hiss and the magic he was wielding, which originated from her mother's spellbook. Although Raven had magic coursing through her veins and a small degree of control over it, the extent of her powers was only a fraction of what she could fully unlock by writing her name in the book. However, magic as ancient and dangerous as her mother's came at a cost, namely, the overwhelming sensation of being able to conquer anything in her path, leaving no one capable of stopping her."
Jabberwock Mountain
Deep within the mountain that housed the second half of the Snake Men, everyone witnessed the rebirth of the Raven Queen. She inscribed her name in the Storybook of Legends, signaling her intention to rival the magic of King Hiss and the Evil Queen, whose powers he was using to empower his warriors. Her friends looked at Raven concerned for her safety since they didn't know how the surge of new magic was affecting her.
"Nice look. Not!"
Snake Hiss hissed at her as she let out her snakes at Raven with the intent of petrifying the Evil Queen's daughter in place. However, Raven isn't afraid of the snake girl and glares at her leaving the power that she was given by King Hiss to fail as Snake Face ends up passing out from Raven's immense presence.
"Raven?"
Maddie called out to her friend who felt scared for what was happening to her as she looked at King Hiss who was at a standstill with He-Man. They both felt the new magic that was in the room and knew that Raven could take them both out if she wanted to. Taking advantage, King Hiss's body bit into Adam's body and threw it at Raven with the chance she'd destroy him.
"Stay out of my way."
Raven responded toward Adam as she stopped him in midair with nothing more than her hand. Surprised at the calmness in her voice and control of her new-found magic, Raven chucks him to the side, and Teela uses her staff to catch him since she is in disbelief at the new personality that has taken over Raven.
"Impressive. You're acting just like the Evil Queen, powerful and in command. But not this time."
King Hiss replied to Raven's power as he channeled the spellbook and made a cobra brimming with the Evil Queen's magic and commanded it to attack her. Only for the conjured serpent to disappear in front of Raven as she absorbs its essence. Unimpressed with how little King Hiss knew about her mother's magic, Raven teleports the spellbook from the snake man's hands and absorbs it into her.
"Let me show you what real power is."
She told King Hiss as she generated purple fire from her hands and burned the snake leader alive. Everyone watched how the room engulfed in fire as they ran out to avoid being caught in the flames, even taking Kobra Khan and the others since they didn't deserve a fiery demise.
"If anyone doesn't want a mountain dropping on their heads. Run!"
He-Man shouted at the Snake people who saw them emerging from the same room that King Hiss was in as they heard the sounds of yelling and mad laughter. They looked over to Kobra who was being assisted by Zodak to see that this was serious if the two weren't fighting each other. Having no choice but to evacuate, the snake people started running outside with Teela and Apple leading the way out for everyone to escape safely. All the while sensing from the room was their leader facing off against something that could rival his magic.
"This wasn't what I wanted. I just wanted to restore the glory to my people."
Kobra responded to what was happening around him and believed if he had the Storybook of Legends in his hands, he could do something other than leave everyone lost in the dark. Zodak lowered his head at the snake's response that despite his people being carnivores and ruthless, they should be given the same chance of redemption as any person would ask for.
"You restore it by changing yourself, not others. Because your King didn't seem to care when it came to threatening Lizzie's mother and the rest of Wonderland. I can see it in your eyes, you wanted a different path. Right?"
Zodak questioned the snake of what he desired once he awoken his people from their imprisonment. Before having the chance to respond to the cosmic warrior, he felt a terrible force consuming him from within. The Ever After High students noticed everyone feeling the same way as they saw the snake magic that was used on them being taken away, including Courtley Jester as she reverted to her normal appearance.
"Tea parties and pretzels. What happened?"
Courtley questioned why she was here to that of being surrounded by Wonderlandians who'd been changed back to normal while leaving a small number of snake people left. It also started to affect Teela as she started to change back to normal, He-Man rushed over to catch the sorceress as he saw his friend free from Ka's influence.
"I feel. Calm, like I did before coming here."
She replied toward having the snake magic extracted from her and feeling the spirit of Zoar returning. Only for it to be interrupted by a crashing sound being made from the mountain, they saw something flying out in the air shining like a fireball. It was Raven Queen, who looked frustrated at the mountain as she and everyone saw King Hiss making a dramatic reveal of him taking the snake people's essence.
"If I must use all of my people's essence to destroy the child of the Evil Queen. Then so be it!"
King Hiss announced that he did not care for his subjects if it meant ending the life of the Raven Queen. Using the snake magic of Ka and that of his people, King Hiss's body began to change once more, and in doing so, he lost his humanoid form. His legs transformed into a tail, and his arms split into three snakes. Finally, his head changed into a bestial serpent as he leaped from the entrance and assaulted Raven in midair.
"Raven might stand a chance against him, but she'll need help."
Teela sensed the sudden change in magic coming from King Hiss as both his and Raven's abilities made it impossible to tell who could win this fight. Continuing to watch the battle happen in the sky, Zodak sits on the ground and begins to meditate.
"Maddie. Apple. You both share a strong connection with Raven, I need your assistance in bringing them down. He-Man, Teela, bring down Hiss."
Informing them of leveling the playing field as the girls were unsure of how meditating could help Raven. Deciding not to argue and sit by him, the trio focused on assisting Raven with control over her emotions since she couldn't focus on King Hiss attacking her in the air. Adam and Teela focused using their power of Grayskull and fired a beam of magic that restrained the snake king from escaping. With the dark magic filling her mind and having trouble adjusting to it, Raven felt herself calm despite being in front of the face of King Hiss.
"I guess this is what makes me different from you and my mother. I don't use people to win my fights, they help me win them."
She announced before grabbing King Hiss by the throat and pushing him down to the ground where it made a crater away from everyone. Maddie and Apple decided to stay behind to help Courtley with the others from losing their snake magic. The Eternians went over to see King Hiss not taken but now enraged with being treated as if he was a weakling, he tails whip Raven to the side and notices the others making it over to assist their friend.
"You wish to share her fate? Fine. I have enough mouths for all of you!"
He announced before having both arms detached from his body to form giant two anacondas that lashed out at them. Zodak spun his staff toward the snake as he pinned it to the ground, he then hurled it over to He-Man where the Eternian sliced it in half. Teela handled the other anaconda with her magic since King Hiss took away any essence of Ka from within her. Regrowing his limbs and turning his attention to Raven, King Hiss saw Raven hurling purple fireballs at him as he avoided each one. Baring his fangs at her preparing to bite Raven, King Hiss was stopped by He-Man who punched him in the face and sent him crashing into a tree.
"Still feeling like yourself, Raven?"
Adam asked her if she was in control of her new powers not being consumed by them. Raven said nothing but looked over at King Hiss rising from the destroyed tree and let out a roar as he prepared to attack again like a wild animal. Only to be stopped by a bright light coming from behind which was coming from Teela, who was summoning the spirit of Zoar as they saw the celestial falcon looking over them while pushing back King Hiss.
"It's time to finish this."
Teela spoke out to end the Snake men's return once and for all by using the spirit her mother used to defeat King Hiss in the past. Watching the sorceress prepare for an attack, King Hiss would use the advantage to strike. Only to be stopped by Zodak who used his powers to hold him back until Teela was ready to use her magic.
"Raven! Adam! Combine your magic. Now!"
The cosmic warrior shouted as he was having difficulty in keeping King Hiss restrained. They looked over at Teela and decided to do so, Raven offered to give her newfound magic as she held onto the sorceress's staff. He-Man focused his strength on powering his sword with enough energy to take out King Hiss for good.
"By the power of Grayskull, we have the power!"
They called out as they channeled both Raven Queen's dark magic with the addition of Teela and Adam's to make one mystical attack. Seeing the projectile coming at him, Zodak moved out of the way for their attack to land on King Hiss. Watching the snake king becoming engulfed in magic, they used up all of their energy on King Hiss which resulted in the snake man reverting into his humanoid form. The trio stopped their attack to see a badly burnt Hiss who remained on his feet and did not accept defeat.
"You think. That this alliance you have with Raven will work out? None of you know how dangerous she truly is. I've seen it in her eyes when we battled. She has a darker side than that of her mother's."
King Hiss pointed at Raven of the danger that was near Teela and Adam. Ignoring the insult and ready to finish him for good, they were beaten to the punch by Zodak, who came from behind and sliced his head off with his staff. The young adults freaked out from the execution as they saw the head collapsing in front of them, especially how it became dust with how much it endured from the mystical blast they used on him.
"For my brother."
Zodak stated to avenge his brother's death when he fell to the Snake Men. They didn't want to ruin the moment but noticed how the headless body started to twitch as well as the snake arms reacting to losing their head.
"Despite not having his head, King Hiss is impossible to kill with the essence of Kaa in him. It'll take him years to reform a head."
Explaining to them how the serpent's body was still intact without a head. With their fight finished and taking a moment to breathe, the four heard someone approaching them, they looked behind to see Apple White holding the Storybook of Legends and Maddie Hatter who brought Kobra Khan with them and was wearing a set of iron cuffs.
"Guess we missed the show. But we've managed to figure out a way to end any more problems amongst us and the Snake people, right?"
Maddie Hatter asked Kobra to find a way to stop fighting amongst one another and end it for good. While they wanted to believe the daughter of the Mad Hatter had managed to find peace between Snake Men and Wonderlandians. Zodak was unsure of it as he was willing to take off another head to preserve the safety of everyone in Wonderland.
"It's the truth. While Rattlor, Sssqueeze, and Tung Lashor are loyal to King Hiss. I can see that his way for our people will lead to destruction, and I don't want that. Snake Face as well once she wakes up from being petrified by Raven's glare."
The snake boy informed them on changing his ways in order for the continuation of what was left of the Snake Men. Zodak didn't want to believe him, he wanted to strike him down and be rid of anyone close to the fallen king. But could see he wasn't lying, the cosmic warrior restrained himself and allowed He-Man to handle this peaceful negotiation.
"I believe King Randor can find a way for the snake people to live in peace. If you help end the assault at the Queen of Hearts castle."
He requested that in exchange for stopping the general from his attack on Lizzie's home, Adam could have his father find them a home where they could live in peace. Kobra nodded to He-Man as he accepted the proposal to help his people find a way to live without needing to conquer and anyone influencing them. It left the group to cheer at the response and to start making their way back to Lizzie's home.
Later-Queen of Hearts Castle
While they had managed to handle the first wave of Rattlor's warriors. Lizzie's friends were unable to handle the second wave as they were forced to retreat to the tower where the Queen of Hearts was resting. Most of the knights had been destroyed by the snakes, leaving Skeletor, his team, and the others to protect the Queen from being harmed.
"Stuck in a tower with my classmates. Waiting to be devoured by an army of cold-blooded reptiles, not exactly the way I'd want to go out."
Skeletor spoke out at the predicament they were in and did not think he'd end up protecting someone. Looking over to R'qazz who was currently looking after the sleeping Briar Beauty, he rolled his eyes at how affectionate the beast boy was acting at this moment. Evil Lyn noticed how annoyed the havoc user was acting and decided to comfort him.
"If anything. I thought we'd go out in a blaze of glory going after Grayskull's power. But like you said before, it was fun causing trouble. Right?"
The witch questioned Skeletor on it being a grand adventure for them in getting to causing trouble and fighting before being locked up in Ever After High's dungeon. He couldn't help but laugh at her statement since it was more enjoyable than doing homework. Back with the Wonderlandians, Kitty saw the snakes making their way to the top of the tower using its cement blocks to throw them off since it was the last defense they had against the snakes.
"It be a good time for you to disappear. Maybe warn the rest of Wonderland that the Snake Men will be taking over."
Lizzie advised the Chesire Cat's daughter to escape if it meant giving everyone across the kingdom to prepare themselves if Rattlor wanted to send his people after them. The cat girl shook her head since the last thing she wanted was abandoning her friends.
"I've got nine lives, your majesty. I don't mind losing one for something heroic. Which isn't exactly what I'm known for, so consider this a special occasion."
She replied that it was better to lose one life for a noble cause than to live with nine without doing a noble feat. Lizzie Hearts smiled at the compliment before hearing the sound of the door in front of them banging, indicating that the snakes had reached the tower level. Chase was the first one to stand up and grip his sword at the Snake preparing to bust their way in and take them all out.
"I don't know about the rest of you. But I'd rather go down standing like a knight than fall like a pawn."
The attendance officer acknowledged everyone it would be better to fall on their feet rather than live for another second. Acknowledging his will to keep fighting, everyone prepared themselves to fight one last time in the hope that Lizzie's mother could awake and bring in help from Eternia. Watching the door breaking with each thump, they noticed the snakes stopped as everything fell silent.
"Guys, look outside. It's the sun."
Bunny called out to her friends as they looked outside to see the barrier that had floated over Wonderland for years was now coming apart. It showed a bright light that shined over Wonderland along the snake warriors who noticed the sudden change in the sky. Realizing what that meant, the group saw the doors to the Queen of Hearts room opening up to show Lizzie's mother awoken and wearing a suit of armor which indicated she was ready for battle. She takes a moment to notice how close R'qazz is while everyone else is prepared to fight the snakes again.
"Shouldn't she be somewhere resting properly?"
She questioned R'qazz on how to look after Briar's condition and needing a better place to recuperate. Nodding to Lizzie's mother and carrying her to the Queen's bedroom, he returns back to pull out his club and is unsure if they are going to survive.
"Despite unconscious. I heard how you all rejected leaving me, leaving my daughter. To stand with us against these cruel snakes, which leaves me to present you with gifts for your effort."
The Queen informed them as she handed them a handful of horse chess pieces. Handing everyone one piece, they saw them grow into steeds that would let them prepare for one last charge. They suddenly heard the banging of the doors again as the snake men started to break in, the young adults started to man their steads while the Queen took a moment to embrace her daughter.
"I am so proud of you for coming back to me."
Complimented Lizzie on the determination as she helps her daughter onto the steed. The Queen got on her steed which was bigger than the others and pulled out a heart-shaped axe ready to fight the snake warriors and everyone else.
"Now for madness, now for fun and a wild tea party."
She announced as the doors broke down to show Tung Lashor and several snake warriors preparing to fire their crossbows at their enemies. Only to see the Queen of Hearts leading the charge and preparing to cut off their heads.
"For Wonderland!"
The Queen shouted before leading the charge as they rode their steads past Tung Lashor and the snake warriors that were blocking their way. Making their way down the tower and taking out the warriors, the Queen of Hearts made a path for them to ride outside where Rattlor was present as he witnessed the group facing his army in a last effort to win. Ordering his forces to overwhelm them, he heard a screeching sound coming from over the hill as he and his snakes looked over to see who made the sound. The Queen and her daughter's friends looked over to see He-Man standing by himself while holding his power sword.
"So? Think you can them by yourselves?"
He asked jokingly to Raven as she along with Teela and Zodak was leading an army of assembled Wonderlandians armed with various weapons to defeat Rattlor and his army. Alistair smiled at the sight to see everyone in Wonderland coming together as one to stand against a common foe, it was something he'd been fighting for, a united Wonderland.
"To the Queen!"
Raven shouted as they led the charge to assist Lizzie's mother as they made their way toward Rattlor's army. The general ordered Sssqueeze to handle them as he led half of the army toward the Wonderlandians. Watching from the battlefield to see another army coming to their aid, the Queen's protectors watched Teela jumping into the air to show the snake army the spirit of Zoar. The blinding light caused the snakes to stumble at the presence of Zoar, it gave He-Man and Raven the advantage to overwhelm the warriors and offer support to their friends.
"I'm never going hear the end of this."
Skeletor grumbled at this before knocking out a snake warrior as the combined armies managed to take out Rattlor's forces. The general watched in shock and horror of his fiercest snakes falling before the Wonderlandians, it left him to do something that he'd never imagined doing.
"Retreat!"
The general called out to whoever was left as Tung Lashor and Sssqueeze brought a handful of warriors with the general in an attempt to avoid being captured. Making their way into the forest to avoid being seen by everyone, they reached the other side to see another army Rattlor didn't expect to see. King Randor and Queen Snow White, who had been brought over by Apple White and Maddie Hatter as the two royal figures brought a handful of their best soldiers to aid in the Queen of Hearts.
"Apple. Are these the snakes that have been causing you and your friend's trouble?"
Snow White asked her daughter as she gave her mother a confirmed nod toward Rattlor and his men being responsible for causing trouble for Wonderland. Randor ordered his men to surround the general and his troops as he placed them under arrest. Maddie couldn't help herself but yell out in excitement to free their home from King Hiss's influence and restore it to its usual self. Now all that was left was explaining to Eternos, the Enchanted Kingdom, and the headmasters of Ever After High about the adventure they've been on.
