Kaiju Fighters Ch. 58

Tendo starts. "Okay! New assignment," and turns to the Fighters. "You'll need to…" he looks around and does a headcount of the present company. "Where's the big guy?"

Everyone looks around and finds Gojira missing.

Mosura just sighs. "Here we go again. Moll, Lora," she turns to the twins. "It's time."

.oOo.

Gojira had just exited the building when his old friend called out.

"Gojira!" Anguirus' shouts echoed throughout several city blocks. "Going in solo as usual," the ankylosaur grunts. "No matter which one of you it was. The King of the Kaiju always tries to throw himself at any problem before asking for help," Ang steps up to him and turns Gojira to face the building to reveal all their friends standing there, ready for a fight.

The Gojiran's face threatened to crack into a small grin, but it soon drops at the sight of one particular person. "You're not going."

Kimiko steps up to her boyfriend. "Uh, yes I am!"

"Kimiko. This is different than just one or two random Kaiju. Who knows how many he has. There's no way I can fight this while protecting you."

"I don't need you to protect me, Goji. I can handle myself. This is what I'm trained for. I'm going with you and there's nothing you can do about it."

At the statement, Gojira turns to Rodan and the agent notices this.

"No! No, no, no!"

.oOo.

Kimiko finds herself griping her arms around the tip of a tower. "Rodan!" she turns to the pterosaur who is still hovering nearby. "Bring me down this instant!"

He just shrugs. "Sorry, Kimiko. But when my friend, who so happens to be the strongest guy I know tells you to get his girl someplace safe, I do what he tells me. And as scary as you can be, I'm far more afraid of him."

"If you don't bring me down right now," she draws her Maser pistol. "I'll—" the human lets out shriek as she nearly loses her footing and drops the gun.

Both human and kaiju watches as the weapon falls.

"Rodan," Kimiko looks back at him. "Bring me my gun so I can shoot you."

The flyer just salutes. "Good luck with that!" and dives downwards.

"Rodan!" She screams and slowly starts her attempt to climb down while talking to herself. "Goji, when this is over I'm going to kill you," she lost her footing for a moment but manages to catch herself. "And one of these days I'll use my gun on a Kaiju. I'm tempted to use it on Rodan after."

.oOo.

Rodan lands among the group. "Even if she manages to climb down, it will take her awhile. And I'm pretty sure she's making a hit list, Gojira, and you're at the top."

Manda places a hand on her hips. "Can't say I blame her but it's a good call. The last thing we need is a human getting in the way."

Gojira closes his eyes before turning to his oldest friend. "Anguirus. You should stay here."

"Hey!" the ankylosaur steps up. "I may be old, but I can handle anything thrown at me," he then looks up and nods. "I can also handle anything I'm thrown at." A hand is placed on his shoulder.

"You have a family here. Nothing may not happen, but Ghidorah is not beyond sending someone to attack our home while we're out. Somebody has to be here to protect them."

"Somebody will be!" Mosura's voice reaches them.

Turning back to the entrance, Moll is wearing an orange and yellow armored dress with Lora wearing an identical one only in blue and light green.

Moll starts, "It may not be Elias Steel…"

"…But our armor still holds up," Lora finishes.

Walking from behind them is Mosura wearing an identical fancier armored dress in brown with gold, decorated with her symbol of peace. "We'll protect the civilians here while you go and handle Ghidorah."

Caesar steps away from the group to stand next to the Guardian of Peace . "I shall stay behind to assist. Can't have too many guard dogs around."

Most everyone smiles at them with Gojira simply giving a nod.

Lora then feels a familiar presence next to her and turns to see Baragon standing there.

"I, uh, I would also," the Earthen Guardian gets flustered and then clears his throat. "I would like to remain here as well," he glances at the younger twin who has as slight blush.

The group was about to finish their send off when Anguirus notices Liz and Amy reaching the entrance. With a heavy sigh, the ankylosaur approaches them. "Liz. I—"

"I understand, Angy," his wife caresses his cheek. "This is important. But I have faith that with you fighting for us everything will be fine."

That made the kaiju smile but it drops for a moment at what is said next.

"And even if you don't come back, you have any idea how many points I'll get for being a rich widow?" she jokes.

"Funny, Liz. Very funny."

"In all seriousness," leans down to kiss him. "Try to be home for dinner."

Anguirus' smile returns.

The woman then turns to her daughter. "Amy, tell Daddy—"

The little girl runs up to give the Kaiju a hug. Anguirus was surprised at first but accepts the embrace. "I know, kid. Love you too," they soon break away and he looks back up at his wife. "Both of you."

The mother and daughter waves at Anguirus as he rejoins the rest of the Fighters.

"What are we waiting for?" Ang asks. "We got a wedding to crash!"

.oOo.

The Warden runs up to the front gates to find a crowd of people gathering at them. "What's going on!?" he turns to one of the guards.

"It's a riot, sir."

"I can see that. Why haven't you followed protocol to get rid of them!?"

"I'm waiting for word from Director Amaki as that protocol was made to counter any Kaiju. Not Civilians. We might end up killing them."

The Warden growls as he kicks the gate. Just then, his personal radio goes off.

"Code fourteen! We have a code four—" the radio is then cut off.

As the Warden and Guard look at one another before entering the building.

.oOo.

The Guard walks down the corridor with a Maser Rifle ready. It wasn't long before he came across the bodies of his fellow guards. He walks around the corner in time to see a bald, fanged man in grey armor with a line of spikes running down his arms, bringing down a large sword bigger than most humans and cuts another guard in half.

The kaiju then turns to the other guard with its arm held out. The Guard goes to run away but soon finds himself pinned to the wall. The shoulder of his uniform was somehow pierced by a throwing star. Looking back at the kaiju, he sees that more throwing stars are somehow being launched from his arms, pinning the rest of the human's uniform to the wall.

The kaiju is suddenly rushing towards the guard with the massive sword ready to slice him in two.

A voice then comes from behind. "Not that one."

The blade is halted at less than an inch from the Guard's face. He turns his head to find a prisoner covered in grim.

Hedorah smirks. "He gets a special treatment."

The Guard's eyes widened. "Oh, sh—"

.oOo.

The Warden makes it to his office and starts initiating the lockdown of the facility. But after typing only a few keys, he is impaled from behind by a crystal spike.

Seiza approaches the Warden and places a hand on the human's head, and he can feel images being pulled to the front. "Thank you for the command codes," the Void Invader then approaches the desk to finish typing in the computer.

.oOo.

Every cell throughout the facility opens to free every imprisoned kaiju as their shock collars drop from around their necks.

A pale woman with blue hair walks out and stretches. "Finally. I can't wait to get out of these clothes."

A tanned man with insectoid legs walks up to her. "You've been out of those several times."

The Mimic glares at Kumonga.

"In my defense, your boyfriend's cell was next to mine before they moved him. Whenever you gave him a show, you were also giving me a show. My favorite was your role as the nurse."

As Mimic was about to throw a punch at the spider, someone called out to her.

"Mimic!"

Hedorah is approaching her dragging a certain guard that now has visible burns around his body. There are several other Kaiju walking behind him.

"You brought me a gift?" the Mimic asks as the Guard is dropped in front of her. A thought then comes through their mind. They pick up one of the shock collars and snaps it around the guard's neck before reaching into his pocket to pull out a specific tube with a button. "Let's see how long you last before your head is blown off," the Mimic adjusted the level of shock before pressing and holding the button.

The guard lets out a scream for the few moments it was pressed. Once the thumb is removed from the button, the human falls limp.

The Mimic kicks him. "Aw! I wanted to have more fun with him."

"There'll be plenty more," Seiza approaches the group. "Right now. We have a wedding to get to." at that moment, a portal opens right behind the Crystal Clone.
