Tommy noticed how the halls became emptier as he and Jason strode through hospital corridors. They went through a final set of doors and Tommy realized how different this wing was- the walls had changed from drywall and stucco to gleaming steel and iron. He heard a hum and saw sensors every few feet and that they buzzed louder as he went through them. This area must be for troubled Power Rangers and his powers were bubbling right below the surface. It also made him wonder how many times they had had troubled Power Rangers to build a place like this. Tommy cracked his neck as he focused on keeping his powers in check, for the time being.

Jason shook his head as the power sensors registered the power radiating off of Tommy. He kept an eye on his communicator and was shocked at the readings it registered. Thomas was right- Tommy was stronger than all of them thought and he had the most restraint he had ever seen.

"Tom…my," Brittany said as she stared at him and Jason finally turned towards him and saw that he was now glowing. "You good?"

"My residual powers tend to become harder to control when I'm emotional. This situation has hit almost every trigger I have and Kim's not here," Tommy stated as he took in a deep breath and glanced between the two of them. "If he's not willing to talk to anyone else, we might want to get a move on. The longer I stew- the worse this will get."

"We need him to still be alive when you're done," Brittany said as Tommy nodded and she then opened the door. Tommy walked into the room and heard the door be closed behind him. They trusted him more than he trusted himself at the moment. David was in restraints and tethered to the hospital bed. He could do absolutely anything that he wanted to him. David smiled over at him and Tommy forced his powers down. It was like David wanted him to finish what he had started and they both knew that would be too much of a nicety.

"I hear that you're only interested in talking to me. You've got five minutes," Tommy said as David quirked his head and then gave him a nod of respect.

"You aren't my brother- he would have brought in Atlantis and enacted the protocol instead of talking with me," David stated as Tommy crossed his arms. He had yet to meet Atlantis in this universe and he knew exactly what the protocol was. For everything David had done, even that was too cruel in his mind. "My father isn't done- he will get all of them."

"You missed the part about how I'm the one that can defeat him, didn't you?" Tommy asked as David stared at him, his mouth agape. "Apparently- there were some prophecies that your 'father' thought would be too inflammatory to give to the average ranger population- which included all of you. So when I say that I can end Kiros- I can end him."

"The third universe will chew you up and spit you out," David ground out as Tommy glared at him, his eyes sparking green. He watched as David gulped and he stalked over to the hospital bed.

"The only reason you're alive- is because I had a job to do and you weren't part of that job. You find a way to jump universes and come after my family- I won't think twice about sending you to meet your maker," Tommy growled as he leaned over David and saw the fear in his eyes. "But just to make you really think hard before you try anything…"

Tommy let out a feral scream as his powers exploded out of him and he heard Jason and Brittany trying to get into the room. He secured the door as he let the show continue. He wanted David to understand just how much worse it would be to deal with him than to disappoint his father. When the power surge subsided he glanced around the room before he heard the door clatter open.

"Were you trying to kill him?" Jason ranted as Tommy met his gaze and he stilled. This was not Thomas and Tommy was willing to get his hands dirty. Tommy was willing to kill anything that got in his way to protect his family.

"I needed to make sure he got the point," Tommy said as he glanced back at David and saw the terror in his eyes. "He won't mess with my family again- in any universe."

Tommy stormed past them as Jason and Brittany stared around the room. David was not touched, but basically every machine, piece of furniture, or decoration had been completely destroyed. There were shards from the fluorescent bulbs littering the floor and they both exchanged a glance. This was not supposed to be possible in these rooms. These rooms were meant to mitigate all of their powers. What was Tommy Oliver made of?

"Remind me to never piss him off," Brittany whispered as Jason put his arm around her and escorted her out of the room. "Babe- he's stable, right?"

"Yeah- that was a very calculated and controlled show of power. Like he said- David got the message," Jason muttered as Robert sprinted towards them and he held up his hand to slow him down. "There was an electrical surge- the equipment may need to be replaced."

"That shouldn't be possible," Robert retorted as he caught a glimpse of the destruction and looked between the both of them. "How is he alive?"

"Because Tommy Oliver is a better man than any of us are," Jason stated as Robert barely nodded and Brittany leaned into his side as they walked back towards the security center. They both knew that Thomas would have risen to the bait and that would have given Atlantis a reason to remove him as well. This world needed Thomas where he was and it seemed like Tommy might have helped him stay there.

"So it's true," Doug said as he walked up to Tommy and he gave him a confused look. "Kimberly- a version of her- she's here."

"I'm sorry…Doug?" Tommy paused as he stared at Kim's father and he tried to keep his shock in check. They hadn't seen her parents since their wedding, even with multiple invitations to come visit after the twins were born and for birthdays since then. To see how much this man wanted to see his daughter, even though it would rip him apart, was a punch to the gut. This was the life that Kimberly had on this planet- one where she was loved by her family in a way she had never experienced in their world. "Shit."

"Can I see her?" Doug asked as Thomas walked up to the two of them and he did a double take as he looked between the two of them. "I…which one of you…"

"She's been through a lot, Doug. I don't know."

"Absolutely you can see her," Tommy said as Thomas and Doug stared at him. "In our world…it'll probably do the both of you some good."

"I'll get the guard cleared out and give her a heads up," Thomas said as Doug wrung his hands. He hadn't seen his daughter in nearly two decades and even though this woman was not his daughter- she was the closest he would ever get to in his lifetime.

"Is she…she's happy?" Doug asked as Tommy nodded as he gave him a weak smile. "Why?"

"I don't know. I just know that I am the luckiest man in the world to still have her," Tommy said as the ranger guard walked past the two of them and then Thomas posted himself on the outside of the room. "Thomas- no. I'll guard- the two of you need each other."

"He's more perceptive than you will ever be," Doug remarked as Thomas shook his head and then opened the door to the hospital room. Kim straightened as she placed Luca back in the bassinet and then looked over at the two of them. "Kimmie."

"Da…Dad?" Kim asked as they both froze before Doug closed the gap between them and wrapped her in a tight hug. "Where? How?"

"He's from this world," Thomas clarified as he saw Kim nod, but that didn't change how they clung to each other.

"I know you're not my daughter, but I…when I heard the rumors…I had to try to see you," Doug said as he pulled back and he saw her fighting the tears as she just shook her head. How could this man be the same man that was her father in both worlds? "I didn't mean to upset…"

"You loved her? You really loved your daughter, didn't you?" Kim forced out as Doug nodded and she buried her face in his chest as the sobs came. For a little while, she could pretend that this was her dad and that he was actually glad to see her. It might not be fair to him, but she was going to take every bit of caring that he could give her right now. "My dad…I haven't seen him in years…he doesn't…"

"When your mom died, I promised I would never walk away from you. I know that I'm not your dad, but…I wanted to see that, that you had a chance in another world to be happy," Doug said as Kim clutched to him and he held her close. "I can leave if this hurts you…"

"No. Stay," Kim forced out as Luca let up a cry and she pulled herself together and went to pick him up. She walked from the bassinet to Doug and placed her son in his arms. She wished she had been able to do that with her own dad, but this was- maybe this would heal both of them. "This is Luca. He's going to be our last baby."

"He looks so much…well it makes sense he would look a lot like JJ," Doug joked as she reached up and wiped his tears away. Luca snuggled into him and he shook his head. He had stayed close with Thomas over the years and was even a third granddad to Thomas' other children. He looked over at Thomas and saw the pain etched on his face. This should have been the life that Thomas and Kimberly had, but Kiros had prevented that. "I guess one thing you have in common is that the two of you make pretty babies."

"There's probably a lot that I have in common with your daughter…well with me," Kim said as she smiled at the two of them and then glanced over to see that Thomas was barely holding it together. "Tommy?"

"I…I'm going to step outside," Thomas said as he quickly turned to leave the room and Kim barely caught him. He closed his eyes as he caught himself staring at her lips and just wanting to feel one more kiss from her, even if that was wrong. Even if her husband was less than five feet away, just separated by a door. Seeing her and Doug and a baby in Doug's arms that looked so much like JJ, it was breaking all the resolve he had left. "I…I can't…you may not be my Kimberly, but I'm having a really hard time differentiating that right now."

"Okay," Kim said as she let go of his arm and he slipped out of the room. Doug gave her a guilty look and she pegged him with a firm stare. "No. You do not feel bad about asking to see me. It's hard for Thomas in a different way."

"Tommy. He was always Tommy to you," Doug said as Kim nodded and Doug transferred Luca back to her arms. "I'm glad that you have a great life, even if it isn't here."
