Chapter 10 Chow Mein Cow

Welcome to Chapter 10 Chow Mein Cow our little band of friends came to this restaurant because it was a better option than the Griffin's Delight diner and the characters who didn't get to speak. The last chapter will get to speak in this one, and they didn't completely go into political order like I was hoping. I'll tell you who I will be speaking to in this chapter. Well, Riley Obi-Wan she'll have a speaking role in this chapter.

And a lot of other people that I can't remember off the top of my head, but they'll have speaking rules even rate of might join them up so she might have a role too.

OK, then and anyone who didn't have speaking roles in the other chapter and I'll mix it up a bit. Also, the bet will be in chapter 2.

I meant to say it'll be in this chapter. Also, there we go.

And like I said, the characters who didn't get to speak in the last chapter will get to speak in this one.

Like I said, like Riley an aura and Rita, and some of the other characters this way it'll make it fair so that everyone has some turn.

So let's begin and begin with narration.

The group of friends continued to walk out of the section of dorms and into the main square of the school campus until they saw a beautiful glass building. It was the chow mein cow it said a chance to meet lotta sanguine the master of dark and one of the masters of your school headmasters in school teachers.

Well, that's crazy. Riley said yeah Ash said as they walked inside.

We walked up to the magnificent, beautiful glass wheel, and it stood in front of us as open the door and let us in. Ash asked for a table for all of us self-seating. Ash said we all nodded. Let's just find us a big table that we can all sit at and then and then we can get a menu and look at what we want and then when we're ready to order. We'll just press the little cow figurine. We all nodded our heads.

It's always a treat to eat at a Chow mein Cow we don't have one in a folder and Elise and I hardly even eat at one because there's not one near us. Probably it's because Father doesn't care about the masters or them working for them so that's why there isn't one part of me who wants to think one day that Annalise and I could just leave Valder and not become stay royals. I mean we're not the Aries our brother is so what does it matter?

We can live our own lives maybe we will one day we'll join the girl together and we'll escape. We don't need to go to university or anything like that. Even though that's probably what Father would want us to do for him, won't we? I said to Annalise Annalise wasn't paying attention. I said we can leave our father alone. He has his precious older son oh yeah Emily said, of course we don't need Valder. We can move here somehow when we get old enough.

Then I saw the most beautiful bunker I've ever seen because I hardly ever see you and our anyway. After all, they live in the ice skates. This one was not in the ice skates. I think he was with the group of Benarr that he came from the union probably more than the ones that came with us, but he was a student here too. Matt, it's just popped out of my school when I saw him at least the others asked me what was I looking at and I said that being off over there, I said his table looked big. Does he have anyone else with him? We could look I heard Ashli say what was asked him.

And they're so cute and they say north after everything I wonder who he is is he a student or a worker I don't know.

Then we walked over there I heard Ash ask hey Beaner, he turned his gray head towards us. Yes, he said who are you? First of all Ash asked I am north. Time Chris merchant in training north I'm also trying to learn how to not say Norf after every sentence Nerf Porsche doesn't like it Nerf. Ash said it was cute. You shouldn't stop I agree and not it and said yes and the rest of the group did too. We thought the Bunner was so cute. He scratched one of his floppy ears well I'm trying north because I have to if I wanna become a member of this merchant's union north I have to stop north.

Well, nice to meet you, Tom Chris, merchant and training Ash said and I did too. Hi, I said I'm Riley princess of Valder. I know who you are. He said you and Princess and Elise North well at least he knows who I am I thought and said out loud too. Ash said is this place is this table open? Yes, north you can sit with me north it's OK north.

The score we have a table at least that sounds great. Let us sit down and eat and order our food.

And that is what we did we all took various seats around the table. I sat next to the Buna. I think he liked me and he was friendly enough.

I even asked him how old he was but he said I have 17 north. I graduate this year from the north. I just wasn't on the train with you because Porsche had me come later north.

I smiled at him does Riley have a crush Annalise to tease me no Annalise I think you do I heard Ashli say and I think it's kind of cute. Yeah, the rest of the group agreed it was cute that they thought that I had a crush on the little merchant in training, I thought it was adorable.

He told us that he was gonna be the merchant of this town of the school and the guild And he was working on trying to learn the finding spell so that he could be a very helpful merchant and learn not to stay north and all of those kind of things. Blato wasn't there though, but that was OK. We didn't need to see him right now. But if we do see him later, we'll tell him how much we love his restaurant.

But it's bad as big of a chain as well. The Griffin's delight there are other little restaurants too and cafés. There's a café in the grand library that serves delicious drinks. We might go there later and get a delicious drink there and then there's the there's other cafés scattered out around and then there's Cinda's bakery. There's one in Lyle, but there's one here too. We might go there for a delicious dessert maybe.

Oh yes, Ash said, of course, we can go there Riley. I know they have some delicious chocolate chocolate desserts chocolate is so rare. It's rarer than even barbecue chips. And I should know because we get because my brother and I get to eat barbecue chips all the time Ash said.

No, he said heading us all menus pick what you want. There are four options.

For great delicious options, he says I scan the menu to see what I like. There was the mega kick and you can get it with or without the spicy sauce. It was an option, an arctic freeze, and the surface of the sun and the final one was the brilliant trillion gate of a cow which was special.

Each of them also had a symbol near them the Arctic freeze had an Arctic symbol by it surface of the sun a fiery symbol next to it and the cake was normal. There was a side that said this sauce in the mega cake is has a mega cake and I had a picture of a cow kicking, and each of the little standees was on the table. There was one on the table a day of lotto Seguine with the chow mein cow mask and holding two plates of noodles. It was so cute.

I don't know which one I wanted just pick what you like Riley I heard Ashli say OK I said all right. I will pick what I like. Hopefully something good.

I heard AC say that he wanted the special and he's not sharing either if it's not available I heard Ashli say then I'll ask for something else he says.

I said I would have the regular mega cake. Yeah me too. I heard Ashli say Roger said I will take the mega cake too but with no spicy sauce, what fun is that? Alan said I'm gonna take the surface of the sun. Are you kidding? That thing looks hot I don't care I like spicy things Alan said.

Get ready to go water I said to Alan I will be ready. Alan said Sarah made a face. I think I'll have the regular mega kick too.

My little new beer our friend said I'm having the Arctic freeze we like cold things north.

Each of us around the table started ordering what we wanted thinking about what we wanted from the menu.

Then we all began to order. Also, we begin to place our bets for both Roger and Roger for Alan if he can eat the whole thing of hot noodles without drinking any water and AC as well to see if he can eat the whole 2 pounds of noodles.

And whoever could win these, Betzy will buy us dessert. Is better than bedding, gold, and whoever will be buying us dessert after this bet will decide where we're getting our dessert from.

Eran, AC, and Roger both said and Alan too mainly Alan OK then let's do this.

And like I said, everyone started ordering their food. Ash pushed to stand and we told the service worker what we wanted the person who was working in the kitchen and she repeated our orders back to us all right we'll be out with some water and our fresh bread baked daily. The voice said the woman in the kitchen as she went and visited our orders.

OK, Ash said then we began normal conversation once again.

The group began normal conversation once again after everyone gave their orders. They talked about the upcoming school year and anything they were expecting out of this year together. People even asked Ash about Lutheran Scarlet. I don't know. I said he might ask her out tonight everyone says I don't know for sure but we'll find out when they return from their little trip. What do you mean north? The merchant said well Ash said my my brother and Scarlett always sneak off every year two days before the school year to be alone they spend time with our mother and father for two days. They've been doing this for a while ever since he started coming to school here as explained, but since it's getting close to her senior year, Ash said he's thinking of asking her out soon and will be like it's about time.

You're right Annalise said, of course, it would be about time. We don't know what he was waiting for. We don't know either. Probably more afraid of his brother, not his brother me but her brother's soul oh right be pretty scary. That's why she has a room to herself as explained.

But I told them and I told her that she could lie to me too if she can't find Luther to find me I wouldn't be much help, but at least if she finds me and is someone she trusts Riley suggests why don't we have Scarlet join our group more she is in our group of friends if she can fight if we're in the open like this, then she can find one of us as well That's a good idea Riley I said that's a good idea. Riley suggested that to her when she her and brother returned, Ash said.

Oh yes, let's do that. He's probably open to any ideas to protect Scarlet.

There's also the teachers too oh definitely, we're not gonna count them out.

Then the server came out with bread here is your fresh bread baked daily and some water. Enjoy the server said what's your name Ash asked Uncle Uncle if you need anything let me know. Will do Claire.

Oh my Claire asked Ash are you? I am Ash said you're the grandson of the founder of our world in school and nodded. I am and Luther is my older brother. We were twins, though we weren't expecting to see you here. Well, we like to come here more than I do the other places the Griffins delight more. The food here is better, especially at night. I might go to the Griffin's delight during the day but in the morning hours, but I'd rather come here at night time to eat or lunchtime Ash said.

That makes sense she said oh I almost forgot these she said laying out boxes in front of everyone. What are these for? Oh, you'll find out. Claire says that she left with her cart and I'll come with your food soon. Don't worry if you need anything else let me know. OK just press down on the figurine.

OK, Ash said we will all right. Claire says that she disappears.

The server girl disappears and we all look around each other at the table. It was uneasy having a beer off here, but it was OK. Riley liked him. I was a little jealous because I wanted Riley, but I guess she had her heart set and I said to someone else but you're a princess I said to her why do you want to be our don't be so rude Riley said.

But he's not human-like or a human-like person now that's just mean North the Beaner said OK that's enough. Emily said OK let us change the subject please this is uncomfortable with Riley.

Right I heard my brother Alan say it is Riley's face looks very uncomfortable.

Thanks, Alan no mention it. Alan said agreed I heard Sarah say.

Besides what we talking about Luther and Scarlett yeah we'll do our best all pitch in to help. I said I have no hots for Scarlet anyway so I have no competition there. Everyone laughs.

Then Rita and Iris walked in I didn't know that they were best friends but they came in anyway AC waves at her Alice Iris. He says his mouth full of bread Iris laughs. Oh AC you have your mouth full. Wait don't try laughing because you'll choke. She says, sit down and join us and push down on the figurine to make their order.

Then Claire comes back out, bringing bread and a box for her as well as water. Well, the bread was already in a pile for everyone but the but her water in box. And we still haven't figured out what they're for. Oh, silly Claire said I guess you haven't figured it out. These boxes are for a promotion we're having does the beginning of the new school year. We're having a promotion with these boxes each of you will get a statue out of each of your teachers they'll be treatable figures too.

Sweet I heard Ashli say how long is this promotion for at least for the first two weeks you should be able to find everyone you want and if not, we'll extend it to a month the first full month of the school year she says she disappears back into her room into the kitchen once again.

Then we begin chattering once again.

The group began to chat chatter again amongst themselves it had grown 2. It was getting crowded at their table, but they didn't mind. They love hanging out with everyone they share the bread and other things. Ash even suggested why don't we open these boxes later so we can enjoy our food and then we can meet back in a neutral place like the library and open them there sounds like a plan Riley said.

And that's what the group did they decided to wait to open their boxes later.

OK then.

They pocket them into their pockets. The boxes were small enough to take with them.

Then Rita breaks the silence.

So what were y'all talking about as soon as Iris and I walked into Ashfield I was in on what was said before we came in oh just that my brother is going to ask Scarlet out soon probably during their little break together. I know it's about time that's what I was saying. I've been trying to ask him for a long time. When is he going to ask her it's not like she'll wait forever no I said no he wouldn't wait forever and so neither was she. They love each other very much.

I know Ash said she was there at our birth. I mean, she didn't watch it happen, but she was there when he was born and I was born and she held us both, but she had more of a connection with him than I read it. I nodded along with ashes words well if anyone would love my best friend it's your brother.

Iris said it's fate. I agreed with her fate had put them together and drawn them together. My brother doesn't believe in fate. I heard Ashli say but he might agree to that at least.

Then he will I and Irish agreed together.

Then shortly our food came out. Everyone got what they wanted, and we started eating and continued chatting.

We talked about this year's curriculum and what the bullies were planning on this year. It's probably not gonna be anything good. No, it probably won't be but will need to be on guard.

It's on I heard them say I guess they had some kind of bet earlier Iris and I watched.

Everyone got their food and they began to eat and bet whatever it was, they needed to do that day that evening. The food was delicious.

Everyone told Ash this was a good suggestion because none of our villains would be here our bullies. Ash just nodded.

Zoe said yeah Good place.

Along with everyone else, I agree this was a good place to eat. I enjoyed my meal and so did everyone else it looked like AC had finished his and they finished up their bats it is crazy that they wanted to do that but it was fun to watch.

Even Merrick and the others agreed.

Now it's time to go walk a little and work off all this food and then go get dessert as paid for the meal, which was nice of him and then we all left.

In this chapter, we're gonna leave our main group of heroes for a bit. We return back to them in the chapter called Everyone Else, but everyone who got a chance to speak will also have a turn to mix in not to talk, but together they say when other people are talking I'll finally have the dessert and walk around a bit and then open their little boxes. Don't worry that plot will be here soon.
