Testing Magic and Offer
A/N: Hey everyone we are back with another chapter! Last time Bell and Jaune have unlocked their magic. Bell's is the same as in cannon, no change there. But Jaune's magic allows him to shape light.
But it is limited to certain weapons, and utility reasons. Like how he was able to illuminate areas. He can use what is essentially as flashbang. And I am inspired a little with Jessica Cruz, due to how those two connected with each other.
But, the main inspiration was how in Highschool DxD, The Angels and Fallen Angels are able to create weapons like spears and swords out of Holy Light, and I wanted to give Jaune that, since he still wants to be a hero. He was the light of others at times, so his powers make sense.
I want to do something that I haven't done before, and I want to respond directly towards comments.
Splash43: Yeah she is gone sadly, but I am thinking on how he got there in the first place. But, I have an idea going down the line.
Midnight49: First things first thank you so much for all your great comments, it does help. I do have an idea for future magic, but it may be different from "The God Of High School", so hopefully everyone will like it.
And we all know how semblances evolve, so who's to say Jaune can't? And the whole them being in his inner world, it was because Pyrrha was gone and looking after them, and since Ruby was the most closest to him while alive, she was their in spirit. So she will not see him in dreams, or a spirit merger.
Gamelover41592: First things first, I want to thank you too, for commenting on this story so much, it is truly awesome for you to do that. I showed Remnant is for a good reason, you might see why in the future. And it's a light ability, and sometimes you won't have any torches.
So with all of that said.
Let's Go!
As Jaune and Bell ran towards the dungeon they kept thinking on how their magic is going to work? Jaune had a feeling how Bell's fire bolt will work. It may shoot out like an arrow, it's not a fire ball, which is sometimes stronger than a firebolt. Firebolts are usually fast, and Bell was fast. Then Jaune did a little note on something. Bell was fast, and maneuverable, while Jaune was strong and sturdy. He is not as nimble and fast like his friends, but he was a tank.
You think someone like Nora is a tank but no, she is a warrior. She goes and fights head first. She may be able to take a hit, but out of everyone in his group and team, he was the one who can take the most damage.
Especially now that he knows what his semblance is.
They moved on the first floor, and they decided to start small, with testing at least for Bell. After a few minutes of walking, they found a goblin scrounging around.
"Ok, let's see how this work." Bell said out loud, getting Jaune to nod, and loud enough to make goblin turn toward him. Bell decided to take his knife with him, but Jaune decided to go bare handed he wanted to see how his magic works in creating weapons, and they aren't staying for long, but they will have some fun here.
Bell simply lifted his hand and aimed it towards the goblin, and Bell reached into himself and felt his magic. He then yelled out.
"Firebolt!" Bell yelled out, they seen a glowing light, and a bolt of fire shooting out of his hand! The bolt hit the goblin's opened mouth killing it instantly. The magic stone fell to the ground, with a loud thud.
They were silent for a moment. But Jaune was thinking of something else.
'You know seeing it done in real life now, I can never look at fantasy games the same.' Jaune thought to himself.
Bell on the other hand was looking at his shaking hand in shock. He then started to grow a smile and he just starting shaking in joy.
"I did it! This is awesome!" Bell yelled out raising his fist in the air. Jaune just smirked at him. He doesn't blame him for celebrating like that, because he would have too, if he was just starting out fighting. Before Jaune could say anything else, Bell ran forward leaving him behind.
"Bell wait a minute!" Jaune called out chasing after him. He seen Bell kill another goblin.
"Firebolt!" Bell yelled out, killing yet another goblin. Jaune caught up to him, and grabbed his shoulder.
"Woah, woah Bell, calm down!" Jaune said to him, stopping Bell from running forward again. Bell looked at him confused wondering why Jaune stopped him.
"Look I get that your excited, believe me I am too, but you don't want to over do it, and get lost in all of your excitement." Jaune instructed him. Bell looked down a little ashamed but in more realization, yeah he wasn't thinking. But Jaune gained a smirk that says, "we aren't stopping though."
"I say let's go to the lower levels, to train out magic, and use bigger targets, just to see where we can start at." Jaune said to him pointing his thumb to the way of the second floor. Bell's eyes widen with joy and eagerness at this. It made sense, they are already high in stats but, their magic is new, and they need to use it more to fight better.
"Right, let's go!" Bell agreed and ran towards the stairs for the lower levels, with Jaune right by him.
They decided to go to the 4th floor to do their little training and fun.
Bell started to destroy some stronger goblins, and other monsters near them with firebolts. The ants died easily enough they lingered and suffered from the burns for a little bit, until they died. Bell and Jaune thought it was due for how low his magic stat was. This was perfect practice then!
Jaune decided to start his magic. He decided to start with a weapon, he already knows how the illumination works but nothing else yet, and he wanted to start with something familiar to him, he tried a sword.
"O light hear my call, take shape: sword!" Jaune chanted, he imagined a sword. The light shined from his hand, and it extended to the size of a regular sword, not like Crocea Mors, due to just thinking of a generic sword. It was almost a golden light, and it felt completely solid in his hands. Jaune felt a little weird holding a weapon made of light but he felt that he would get used to it later on, and with practice. He could also feel some exertion coming from his body, this must be the magic power lowering with him using it. So he didn't want to wait, and looked around, but at the same time staying near Bell, since they don't all their gear.
Jaune turned his head hearing dog like growl coming towards him. He seen a kobold, coming at him claws and fangs out, wanting to kill him.
Jaune then gained a stance easy enough for fighting. He knows that he can take down a kobold with his bare hands. But this is about how his magic does, not about quickly taking them out, they will figure that out later.
The Kobold leaped at Jaune, trying to claw his head off but Jaune gripped his "blade" with two hands stopping the monster, what he noticed it started to slightly burn the monster's claws. The kobold decided to back away yelping in slight pain.
'Huh so it has a slight burning effect, it could be more powerful, I just blocked so I don't know how much it could cause.' Jaune thought to himself looking at his sword made of light. A light sword if you will. But then Jaune felt something in him, and narrowed his eyes slightly.
'When I blocked I felt that strain getting stronger, I am still feeling it now. It seems when I hit something with it, my magic goes down faster, so I will need to train it to make it better, and mitigate some of the negative effects.' Jaune thought looking his blade still. But then he smirked.
'It really is like a fantasy game, the more you use magic like an armor or weapon, it will slowly start going away, Bell is probably feeling it more than I am, since he letting out bursts of it, hopefully we can quickly make it better very soon.' Jaune thought to himself one last time, before looking at the monster ready to attack again.
Jaune gained an offensive stance and ran toward the monster. The kobold decided to run towards him again, wanting to claw him again. Jaune did a diagonal slash cutting almost cleanly through it's right shoulder towards it's chest. He cut off the top of the monster only the head and it's arm was disconnected from its body.
Blood was quickly coming out, but the kobold disintegrated, leaving behind it's blood, and some innards that spilled out.
Jaune looked at his blade and it felt nice. He probably felt the slight resistance due to how low his stats are, nothing he can't work through. He deactivated his light sword, and he felt the strain on him from the his magic when he attacked.
'Ok so, when I do damage to something or using it as an attack, it goes down even more than blocking.' Jaune thought to himself. He looked behind him seeing a kobold being born, and immediately tried to go after the distracted Bell who was destroying more monsters with his firebolts. Jaune thought of a different spell, how about a barrier.
"O light here my call, take shape: Barrier!" Jaune yelled out and reaching his hand out. He thought of a wall to put in behind of Bell, and making it taller than Bell. He seen a glowing translucent wall being put up, and he can really feel the strain, keeping a barrier up like this seems like to be one of the most toughest things to do with his magic.
The kobold slammed into the wall, and Bell jumped a little hearing the noise. He seen the wall with wide eyes, but jumped back pointing his hand at the monster. Jaune seen this, and like acting on a signal, and he lowered the Wall.
"Firebolt!" Bell yelled out and shot at the monster in its open maw, shooting right through it, killing it instantly! He started huffing due to the excursion. He then turned to Jaune smiled and waved for thanks, Jaune returned it in kind.
'Ok, something or someone hitting it really takes a lot out of my magic. Let's see where we can go with this.' Jaune thought to himself, he could start to feel himself having to breathe a little more. He then created another weapon, this time a spear.
It looked like a regular spear used by adventurers. But he made the spear head more longer, and gripped the spear tightly. It was a little bit taller than him, but the reach will be amazing. A few goblins were charging at him, and he gripped the spear with two hands and ran forward.
He was holding it a little awkward, since he wasn't really trained with a spear. But Pyrrha showed him her weapon, and gave him the very basic thrust of a spear, so he tried it.
He stabbed forward stabbing a goblin in the stomach, it screamed in pain, feeling it be stabbed and burned, Jaune quickly removed it letting the monster fall to die. Jaune then thrust forward to another goblin, this time right between the eyes. Jaune widened at this.
'I did not know that I could be that accurate.' Jaune thought to himself, but then he had an idea for the last goblin. He smirked and lifted up his hand, while not getting rid of his spear. He can feel the that he is losing more magic, and he didn't know how much he had in general. But he shook his head, and worried about that later, so he started chanting.
"Oh light here my call, take shape: flash!" Jaune yelled out, but just to make sure he closed his eyes just in case he won't be blinded too. The monster screamed a little then it was blinded. But it would only be temporary. Jaune opened his eyes to see what happened.
"The goblin was holding it's eyes in pain, and screaming slightly in small pain and frustration. Jaune quickly put his spear back in action. He thrust froward this time right through it's hand, and through it's eye! The goblin instantly went still and it's arm collapsed, and the golbin disintegrated.
Jaune was panting slightly. His magic was going away soon. Bell was still moving but was panting. He had his hands on his legs, trying to catch his breath.
Jaune started to use his semblance on himself. But then he noticed something. The magic was going up, but his aura was going down!
Jaune was confused seeing how he is boosting his magic, but his aura goes down, when he does this, but why? Jaune then widened his eyes.
'This is probably due my skill able to boost up other things. And since this is magic, this works like an outside source maybe my semblance is treating it something separate from me. Just like when I heal up others, I am giving them a boost, and I am doing that for my magic.' Jaune thought to himself.
"Maybe it' because I am not from here, and it is foreign, I don't know, figure it out someday hopefully." Jaune muttered out loud. Bell didn't hear him due to finishing off the other monsters.
They decided to move a little deeper, but felt that, they were done. Bell was panting, and Jaune was breathing a lot more, not winded, but a little tired.
"I-I think this is the farthest we should go." Bell said breathing heavily. Jaune agreed with this.
"Yeah, I think we should, I believe we have a basic understanding of our magic, and it was fun, right?" Jaune asked smiling at him a little tired. He needed to get used to his magic. Bell smiled tiredly.
"Y-yeah, it was fun, and now we have a better chance in the dungeon now." Bell said tired now too. They were about to leave when Bell fell backward. Jaune quickly went over to catch him.
"Woah, woah Bell are you ok?!" Jaune asked with serious concern. Jaune used his Semblance on Bell. He was still out but he knows it helped him in a way. Jaune noticed his aura wasn't dropping as fast as before. It seemed that boosting his own magic, really takes a lot of it.
Jaune was about to say something else when he heard foot steps coming up the stairs from one of the fifth floor entrances. He noticed that Bell was almost about to pass out, but his semblance is keeping him awake at least. But then he heard voices coming from the stairs.
"Wait until everyone hears about this. You defeated a floor boss all by yourself." Spoke a voice that held authority and at the same time, an oddly motherly tone. Jaune some what relaxed hearing that it wasn't a monster, but still kept his guard up to make sure these people weren't hostile.
He is still thinking about the Soma Familia.
As the steps kept coming up, Jaune didn't realize an eerily black inky substance moving about wanting to attack. It stopped when seeing it's glowing form, normally it would attack but, it could sense two powerful beings coming, it knows it will not survive, so it decides to slither away, finding cracks in the ground to go lower.
Jaune saw a green haired elf coming up from the stairs and stopped in slight concern. She seen that he was looking a little tired and the other passing out. But she could see Jaune glowing and the boy glowing as well. Her eyes widened seeing that this is the guy who helped her friends. She stepped forward to see what was wrong.
"Are you two ok?" The elf asked in concern. Jaune still kept a slight guard up but decided to answer.
"W-we are fine, we just got magic, and we were practicing with it, then out of nowhere my friend here, started to pass out." Jaune said looking at Bell, who was getting his strength back.
Jaune sat him down letting him breath.
"You alright Bell, what was that?" Jaune asked him. Bell looked at him with a slightly tired smile.
"Y-yeah I'm fine, just after using my magic so much I felt super tired all of the sudden, and I was about to pass out." Bell said still looking somewhat tired.
"You were about to enter into mind down." The elf said to him. Bell looked up at the elf.
She was dressed with a white cloak on draped over her shoulders, with what looked to be green mage's robes on with knee high brown boots on. Her hair almost reached her butt, and her eyes were light green. Almost matching her equally green hair.
Bell's eyes widened at seeing her.
"Y-y-your!" Bell spoke up stuttering.
"Uhhh Bell, what's wrong do you know her?" Jaune asked him.
"J-J-Jaune t-this is Riveria Ljos Alf, the Nine Hell Princess of the Elven Kingdom of the Loki Familia!" Bell yelled out in shock and awe. Riveria tilted her head slightly. She get's that people are sometimes in awe with her, but it's a little awkward hearing it like this from someone. Jaune looked on with widen eyes that were filled with some joy.
"Oh your with, Tiona and Lefiya huh, great to meet you." Jaune said now standing up now, and smiling at her. Riveria smiled at him, she was glad that she got to meet the person who helped her familia members.
"It's great to meet you too Jaune Arc." Riveria said to him. Jaune's eyes widened a bit.
"You know my name?" Jaune asked confused at this. Riveria just kept smiling at him.
"Of course, Tiona and Lefiya spoke about you during Monsterphelia. They said how you helped them besides you being only a level one. And I have to say that is impressive to even help out in anyway, especially with monsters, that can give our high ranking familia mates trouble." Riveria said to him.
Jaune just rubbed the back of his head, feeling a bit embarrassed. It always felt nice being given praise, even if it was embarrassing sometimes.
"Oh it was nothing, I was glad to help, besides, I kind of fell at the right moment." Jaune tried to give a little joke about how he got to their position. The joke worked a little, Riveria gave a little chortle.
"Indeed, it was." Riveria said giving a small smile. She was liking this guy, almost like Finn. Ais walked up next to her, and her eyes widened seeing Jaune again, and smiled.
"Oh, hello Jaune, it's good to see you again." Ais spoke in her normal toned voice, but you can tell that she is happy to see him. Jaune looked over and smiled in return.
"Oh hey Ais, good to see you too." Jaune said smiling. He looked at her armor, and could tell that she was dressed for battle, a lot more dressed than some of the huntress' back in his world, she actually had armor! He still thinks Ais would probably wear something like this if she had the chance.
But he looked on to see some of her clothes are torn up, and her armor slightly scuffed, and tiny dents on it.
"Hey Ais, you ok, what happened, your armor and clothes are a little banged up." Jaune asked in slight concern. Ais just simply nodded her head.
"Yes I am quite fine, we were just in the lower levels, and I was fighting a strong floor boss, things like this will happen." Ais said reassuring him. Jaune just smiled at this, he was glad that she was ok.
"Ok good, even though your strong, doesn't mean you can do it all on your own, but I already know you know that." Jaune said. Saying the advise to himself too. He remembered how he didn't want any help, and it bit him in the butt bad. And he still thinks of Pyrrha, it was still a festering wound, but he knows and hopes that he will heal soon.
Ais regained her normal deadpanned look and nodded at this. She didn't see this as patronizing, but just out of concern. Sometimes she needs to be reminded of these things…..ok more often than not.
She won't feel offended or, angry at Jaune just because he is a level 1. He isn't arrogant, or patronizing, he is just giving good advice. He fought hard with her and her friends, and was a good on the spot planner. Finn was the biggest taction in her familia, and it seemed like Jaune is like him in some way. She hasn't seen him do anything big as of yet, but she can tell he is much more smarter than she already sees.
Jaune then realized something, Bell is very quiet, he was afraid that he passed out. He looked to his side to see Bell still sitting there, with his eyes widened and looking at Ais with shock and awe, he was also blushing looking at her.
Jaune knew that look. He had the same look when he used to look at Weiss, Bell was in love. Granted for him, it was a crush due to a misunderstanding, but it still counts.
"Uhh Bell, are you ok there?" Jaune asked in slight concern. He crouched down nudged him slightly. This caused Bell to get his senses. He was about to run away, but Jaune grabbed him.
"Woah, woah, woah, Bell, what's wrong where you going, what's up?!" Jaune asked holding Bell in place, while still trying to run away.
"I-it's nothing too bad, I am just." Bell said embarrassed still trying to get away. All three tilted their heads in confusion, what is happening right now?
"Just what Bell? You can tell me." Jaune said to him, giving him reassurance. Bell just stopped and was blushing up a storm.
"M-Miss Ais, is the one who saved me from that Minotaur, I told you about." Bell said, looking away sheepishly. This caused all of them to perk up at that. Ais and Riveria both widen their eyes in shock, this was the boy that almost suffered from their mistake! Jaune was surprised too, but not as much as the other two.
"Oh ok, you never told me who saved you, just someone from the Loki familia did, I should have asked earlier." Jaune muttered to himself in the end. Ais and Riveria were talking to each other quietly, but then Ais walked over to them.
Jaune looked confused, and Bell was still nervous as ever, but all that went away when Ais bowed to them slightly.
"I am deeply sorry for our familia's incompetence. We accidently let a lot of Minotaur get away, and you were almost killed. Please forgive me if I upset you in anyway when I rescued you." Ais apologized to Bell. Bell's nervousness went away so quick, but went into panic.
"Ahh, no, no, no, don't apologize Miss Aiz, I am the one who should apologize, I ran away because I was….in awe when you saved me, I didn't know how to react so I ran. So please forgive me for making you worry, and thank you so much for saving me." Bell said bowing too.
Jaune just smiled in amusement seeing the two bow to each other for forgiveness. It looked like they were both dorks like him, well in a way. Ais looked up giving a smile in relief.
"Oh thank goodness I thought I did something wrong, I'm glad things were cleared up." Ais said in relief, now standing up no longer bowings. "But I managed to see you run away from it, that was impressive." Ais said to him. This caused Bell to look confused, Jaune raised his brow too, he may have an idea why but he wanted to make sure.
"W-what do you mean, is running away being cowardly?" Bell asked. He knows what Mama Mia said to him, but he still has his own personal doubts. Riveria decided to speak up.
"Running away doesn't always mean cowardice." Riveria said to him in a lecture type voice. This caused Bell and Jaune to essentially stand at attention. Jaune thought of Miss Goodwitch when it comes to lecturing, it felt…surreal. Riveria just smirked at this, she thought the two were adorable for a brief second, but she continued with her explanation.
"Running away because you feel that you can't handle something is a smart way of surviving a battle, and admitting it doesn't make you weak it makes you aware of your own limits. And to run away from a Minotaur at level 1, is no easy feat. You would have died if you confronted it. There is no shame in running, but knowing when to run is the smart move." Riveria said to them. Bell nodded at this. And Jaune agreed to some extent.
"I do agree with running away and planning ahead to live and fight another day. But, if you deem yourself as powerful and strong, and run away all the time when things get hard, that isn't surviving or being smart, that is being a coward. And like you said knowing when to run is the right move, but acknowledge that you had to run, and be prepared again." Jaune said crossing his arms. Riveria looked at him for a bit, and she nodded to him in agreement.
It's true, if you constantly tell yourself and others that you are strong, and run when the going gets tough all the time, your not powerful, you are a coward hiding behind a mask, and says the excuse "I'm a survivor, I did what I did to survive." They are liars, and cowards, admitting makes you tougher, no matter how hard it is. Riveria decided to get back on track from before, she decided to turn to Jaune.
"You said that you two were practicing your magic, is this your first time using it?" Riveria asked them. Ais perked up at this, and looked at them in intrigue, how could level 1s get magic so quickly? They are only humans!
Jaune and Bell looked at each other in a silent debate of what to share, and they both nodded at this.
"Yes we just got it today, and we wanted to see what it could do." Bell answered. Riveria nodded at this, and Ais listened on in interest. She was curious how level 1s could get stronger so quickly, and how she could do it too.
Was it selfish of her yes, and it did make her feel bad about that. They were nice people, especially with how Jaune helped her and her friends out beside the overwhelming odds against him. She had a lot of respect for him, and still wanted to repay him, and find a way to repay Bell for her, and her familia's mistake.
"But, I used it so much that, out of nowhere, I was about to pass out." Bell said to Riveria. Jaune nodded at this.
"It's true he just fell over, and I caught him, and I was feeling tired too using my magic a lot, it was really weird." Jaune said, scratching his head. Riveria and Ais perked up at their explanation.
"Oh you were going through 'mind down'." Riveria said to Bell. Bell and Jaune looked at each other confused for the most part.
"Mind…down?" Both Bell and Jaune asked at the same time.
"Mind down is when you over use your magic, you essentially pass out. Magic requires mind, so using it too much will cause you to pass out." Riveria said to them, and Ais nodded in agreement.
"It can also be called Mind zero, but that depends on the person." Ais said, giving some advice.
Both Bell and Jaune both nodded at this, with widen eyes. That can be really dangerous, passing out during a battle, you would be dead. They need to limit their use, until they can increase the amount they can handle and use.
Since they first started using it, they need to work better to have a better limit. Since it is a stat, like a muscle they can exercise it, to make it more powerful, potent, and be able to not go into Mind down so easy. They know that they have work to do, but they see that their magic is strong already, but there is always room for improvement.
"Thank you so much you two for giving us some advice, what are you two doing now?" Jaune asked them. Bell nodded with agreement. Riveria and Ais smiled a little at this. They were happy to see humbleness in level 1s, but they answered.
"We are heading back to the surface, our business is done for a while." Riveria answered. Bell and Jaune nodded at this.
"How about we head up together, we are heading up now anyway." Jaune said to them. Bell just started blushing up a storm, at the idea to walk next to Ais.
Said girl just nodded in agreement, she could probably get the knowledge on how they got so strong already, and she has an idea on how to repay Bell.
As they were walking Ais decided to speak up.
"I want to apologize again for our mistake, and I want to repay you for that mistake, and repay you Jaune, for helping us out." Ais spoke up. Bell just blushed at this again.
"Oh no, no you don't have to repay for saving me, I was down in the lower levels, I wanted to see what they looked like, and it was near the entrance so there is no need for that!" Bell said to her raising his hands in front of him. And Jaune just smiled at her.
"You don't have to repay me either, I was just glad to help you all out when I could." Jaune said to her with a smile. This caused the two ladies to have widen eyes.
They didn't want anything, that was almost unheard of! Level 1s would have jumped at anything, be it food, gear, weapons, and sometimes even for their bodies.
Granted Ais is a virgin, and she doesn't know if Riveria is one either. So she doesn't have any experience in that sense, especially when the men on the 18th floor wanted to check them for a murder, among other situations over the years, that is not even counting Loki.
But she wasn't going to give up so easily. But what could she do, money, a new weapon, she still had that sword Jaune used to help out with the escaped monsters, but she noticed that his sword swings need a little more polishing, he may be powerful enough even though he is a level 1, but he is still needs work. Bell is probably the same way. She can tell he is still new too, they just needed proper direction.
Ais stopped briefly.
'Wait that's it!' Ais thought to herself with slightly widen eyes.
"I insist in repaying you two, but you two are still new with everything right, how about I help train you two?" Ais asked them, hoping that they will accept.
Everyone froze and looked at her in shock. Especially Riveria. To be trained by the sword princess herself….what?!
"Ais are you sure of this? Do you want to think this through more?" Riveria questioned, almost pleading for her to think of offer through. They don't want her familia to be in the pocket of anyone. If that happens others will see them as either weak, or constantly giving handouts, and will expect them to help out all the time.
Ais turned to her with her normal blank look.
"I am sure of this Riveria, this was my mistake with…..Bell right?" Ais turned to Bell and asked his name, still in shock, he did hear her, but nodded yes. "Ok good. With my mistake with Bell, it is a reasonable way to repay him for that." Ais said to her. But she wasn't done there.
"And Jaune protected Lefiya, and helped us out with the escaped monsters, it's only right to do something for him too." Ais said to essentially her superior. She knew she was right in her decision.
"Besides this is exclusively just me, I won't drag the familia in." Ais said to them. Jaune and Bell were looking at each other thinking of what to do this, but Jaune gained a smirk, and before Bell could say something he spoke out.
"I think training us will be good." Jaune spoke up, causing the two girls to look at him. "Look at it like this. This won't cause a disturbance for your familia, since we are such a non-popular familia at the moment, it's just me and Bell. We won't say anything about this don't worry about that." Jaune said to them, trying to give Riveria some reassurance. Bell widened his eyes at this, and seen that of what Jaune said is a good deal.
"I agree with Jaune, no one will know about this, and as Captain of our familia you have my word we won't say anything to anyone." Bell said to them, solidifying their word.
Ais gave smile at this, glad that they won't say anything, and this is all they want. Riveria just breathed in and exhaled with a sigh.
"Are you sure about this Ais, this will be your responsibility?" Riveria asked her, to make sure she understood what she was offering. Ais just turned to her with a determined look.
"I am." Ais said with conviction. Riveria just breathed inhaled and exhaled again, and gave a small smile, glad that she was taking things seriously too.
"Ok good, as long as you understand, and I will make sure that none of the familia know what is going on for you." Riveria said to her. Then she turned to Jaune and Bell, the two stood up straighter at this. Riveria gave a slight chuckle to herself, the two were adorable to her right now.
"You two, make sure you listen to what Ais says, she is offering her time, to help you two, so don't ruin it ok?" Riveria spoke in a firm tone.
"Yes ma'am!" The two said at the same time nervous at her authoritative tone. She just nodded at them and kept walking out. Jaune just looked down and sighed with relief at this, along with Bell.
'Just like Miss Goodwitch/ Just like Miss Eina.' Both Jaune and Bell thought at the same time. Things will be getting interesting now.
A/N: And that is all here. We have met Riveria. Honestly I always thought that Riveria was cool, she always had this cool demeanor, but she was said that she was like the mother of the Loki familia, but she doesn't have that overly sweet nature that you usually see. She is a little blunt, but is really kind to her familia mates. And for Ais training them, will be the same in cannon, but just be starting almost a week earlier than in cannon.
I am making it so that, instead a month and a half has passed with Bell's level up, I want it to be two months has passed. I just wanted it to be like more time has passed in canon, and I may enter a brief time skip, only by another 2 or so months, I am making it really different.
Stay with me now, I have a reason for this, a big one, you will just have to wait for it.
Bell will be able to pick up on the training more since, he trained with Jaune a little bit, and Jaune is alright for right now, but he still has more room to grow, we seen how capable he is by volumes 7-8. He was able to defeat people who gave Yang and Weiss trouble in the Vytal Festival, that is big strides, and he has only officially started training for about 2 years, by the end of Volume 8.
Others trained for years to get that good, but just like Ruby, he is a prodigy. So he will slowly start getting the hang of the training with Ais, especially now that they will have more than a week of training. Bell is already a quick learner as well so the Minotaur fight may be different for the most part, I am still deciding how different it will be, so I still have time, we shall see.
But with all of that said, I am so glad you all continue to read my stories, and I will continue to try to become better. With all of that said again, thank you all so much, please stay safe.
