Danny and Kingheaded over to the kitchen, preparing to eat the delicious food that had been prepared.

"So, does becoming King of Ghosts have some downsides to eating?" Danny asks, and King sighs, sitting.

"Well, kind of. When it comes to eating, I-"

"Here on the menu, there's chicken wings smothered in barbeque sauce and steamed broccoli with gravy," Fright Knight interrupted King, and King sighed.

"Fright Knight, you don't have to announce every meal every time I'm eating."

"Yes, my liege, but your guest, on the other hand..."

"I-It's fine, really. Thanks for the info," Danny quickly replied, and King rolled his eyes.

"Can you only just consume human food? Or can you also eat food from ghosts?" Danny asked as they ate.

"I eat only human food. Ghost food is nasty," King commented, shivering at the thought of what it first tasted like.

Danny laughed while King smiled a bit.

"So, is it often that you eat or every day?" Danny asks.

King pauses mid-eating and answers, "Once in a while."

"Oh..." Danny said, thinking of two possibilities.

'Either King can survive without eating at all, or he forgets to eat at times, like me...'

Thinking back to how starved he was as a child due to his parent's neglect, Danny had immunity to survive without food for days.

It got so bad that CPS was called at some point, and the Fentons made sure to have edible food for him since he was still a minor. It had gotten better, but still, the neglect was there sometimes...

For the rest of the dinner, Danny and King silently eat their food comfortably. They didn't need to say anything else since the food was freshly hot, and Danny really enjoyed eating something other than the Nasty Burgers after so long.

After a while, the staff came in and cleaned everything up while King and Danny left. They soon went to King's private room to give Danny some extra PJs.

"Pretty sure it'll fit. If not, it'll be a bit big on you," King mumbles, passing Danny fresh and delicate PJs.

"Dude, these are really soft," Danny whispers, feeling the softness. It made King blush slightly, while Danny felt his face flush much more intensely.

"W-Where's the bathroom?" He then asks, face blushing.

"Down to the right," King said, and Danny hurriedly rushed over there.

Changing, Danny felt that his body was relaxing over the texture, feeling that it didn't hurt or scar him.

'Even with the bruises, I don't feel a thing. Whoever's going to marry the dude will be a lucky gal or dude,' He thought.

Stepping out, King blushes more when he sees his PJs fit slightly too big on Danny.

'Knew it...'

Danny, on the other hand, was still mesmerized by the silk, especially how the PJs complemented his body well.

"Well, good night, King," Danny said after a long silence, leaving the room to sleep on the guest.

"Yes, good night," King replied, watching Danny leave.

Changing quickly and getting into bed, King looked up at the ceiling, wondering.

'I wonder if this was the right thing to do... Maybe it is, maybe not... One thing's for certain: Danny's not going anywhere...'

Sighing, he decides that the current problem will be his future self's issue, and with that, he falls asleep after closing his eyes.

Waking up, Danny felt his eyes hurting due to the light shining outside.

Then, a knock made Danny startled, getting him up.

"Good morning. Breakfast is ready," He could hear Fright Knight say before leaving based on the sounds of his footsteps.

Groaning, Danny turns to see the clock stating that it is nine AM, earning him an extra groan.

'Whatever, it's the same time that I get up...' He thought, sheepishly walking to the bathroom door.

He starts by using the toilet, then brushing his hair, making sure not to leave any mess in the guest bathroom, and combing his hair.

He walks out and starts changing into his old clothes from yesterday, which were freshly cleaned.

'Huh, guess they must've cleaned them while I was asleep...'

Not caring about the invasion of privacy, Danny heads over to the diner, stomach already rumbling.

He sees King already there, eating some bacon. He winces internally at the sight of it. Ever since he watched a documentary of pigs unknowingly eating human remains as the killer chops the body by piece, Danny swore off any pig products, which included pork and mostly bacon.

"Want some?" King asks, but Danny shakes his head.

"No thank you..."

They exchanged small greetings before Fright Knight appeared, clearing his throat.

"On this morning's meal, I present you scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, pancakes, waffles, and optional juice to help clear the throat," He said before bowing and walking away.

Again, the two ate comfortably until a question suddenly popped up in Danny's mind.

"Question, how does the food become well prepared?" He asks.

King stares at Danny with a gentle smile and says, "There's a garden for plants to grow. Surprisingly, the plants don't need the sun as long as it's provided with water and soil. Then the cooks will plant new ones and cook away the old ones. Animals, on the other hand, are farmed elsewhere."

"Oh, just on the human world?" Danny asks, and King nods.

"Yes, there's a ghost here that does business with human ranchers. Long story short, they made a deal that the ghosts would 'haunt' away trespassers while the farmers provide some of their cattle."

"That's cool. I can totally see that happening," Danny chuckles before shoving a waffle in his mouth.

King sighs and looks lovely at Danny, who remains oblivious yet again.

Soon, breakfast ended, and Danny and King began walking over to the corridors of the Ghost King.

"Well, I guess it's time to send you back. Once again, thank you for saving me," King said, winking.

"Y-You're welcome," Danny stutters, face blushing.

With his finger creating a circle, King opened a portal to where Danny's room was, nothing out of place.

"Thanks, King. Maybe we'll see each other one day soon," Danny said, hoping.

"Yes. I hope to see you too soon, Danny~," King agrees, getting Danny to blush more.

With a step into his room, Danny sees the portal closing.

'For some strange reason, I can't wait to see King again. That has to mean something, right?'

Sighing, he checks the time on his phone and realizes that it is Sunday and that the time is twelve PM.

"Wow, time is really different," He mumbles, changing again into comfortable clothes.

After changing again, Danny quickly texts the group that he's here.

Queen: Finally, Dashy here was still complaining

Football Star: I WAS NOT!

Sidekick: Hate 2 burst that bubble...

Princess: Let's meet up at Nasty Burger, guys.

Studious Nerd: Agree

Queen: Fine

Sidekick: Sure

Football Star: FINE!

Chuckling, Danny opens the door and walks out, heading to the Nasty Burger.

'Can't wait to see King again someday...'

On the other side, King was staring admiring at Danny based on the locator that he placed on him.

"My King, you should know that it's illegal to stalk, right?" Fright Knight said, feeling uncomfortable at his Liege's stalking.

"Be quiet, Fright Knight. I'm only looking over at my future bride's safety," He explains, still admiring looking at Danny.

'Looking over at my future bride's safety, my arse,' Fright Knight thought but dared not to say anything.

He knew better.

'Poor Daniel, alright...'
