"You must be the new summoner, right? The name's Gamahiro." Gamahiro spoke with a smirk and his arms crossed as he looked up at me, to which I smirked and nodded as I continued to keep my focus on my three foes below us.
"Naruto Uzumaki. I was trying to summon the Chief, but I guess with how small the arena is, that was probably not the best idea.
"Not at all. So, what are we fighting here?"
"Three genin in the final round of the Chunin exams." I answered before smirking at his surprised guffaw that made the arena rumble.
"And you wanted to summon the Chief? Hahahaha! I can see what he meant about you being an overachiever now! So, three genin, huh?" Gamahiro asked as he reached for his katanas and slowly unsheathed them, to which I smirked and nodded as I crouched lowly before shooting down towards them.
"Give me some oil!" I shouted as I dove down towards them, the others' eyes widening as the toad took a deep breath before spitting out a gargantuan amount of oil down at them.
I had no Fire Style Jutsu to use here, but this was less for me and more for Sasuke as most of his jutsu would make the oil go off in a disastrous explosion so he was limited to his taijutsu.
Just like I wanted.
I landed with a large splash that sent oil up into the air before fuelling chakra to my feet and skating across the large oil below us, Shikamaru and Hinata struggling slightly while Sasuke stumbled a bit before rushing towards me as if he was trained to fight on oil his whole life.
That's that chakra control training Kakashi-sensei loves to do coming through.
The two of us clashed arm to arm and sent a shock wave rippling across the oil, a smirk on my face and a small yet excited grin on his face as we pushed off of the other before rushing forward once more.
Throwing a quick chop to his neck, Sasuke ducked under it while throwing a punch to my side, but I grabbed it and pulled him forward for an elbow strike to the throat that he quickly blocked.
Pushing me away and dropping for a leg sweep, I lifted a leg before bringing that same leg down for a stomp, Sasuke quickly contorting around it with a spin before he hooked his leg under mine and pulled me down onto the oil with him.
Catching myself with a hand under me, I wrapped my legs around his before heaving and lifting the surprised Uchiha over my head, right into the path of Gamahiro's strike as he swung the back of his blade at the Uchiha.
However, I quickly let go of him and flipped over as I felt my Hyuga senses honed from fighting against Hinata going off, just in time too as the kunoichi had dropped in with a Gentle-Fist infused heel kick aimed straight for my back while Sasuke quickly flipped over the strike even as the force around the slash sent him flipping through the air like a ragdoll.
"Just wanted to win the bet." She said with a shrug as I gave her an incredulous stare after she nearly paralyzed me, to which I blinked a few times before shaking my head.
However, I cursed as I felt my body locking up, only able to move my eyes down to see a long shadow attached to my own.
'Damnit. I keep forgetting about the biggest threat here right now.' I thought with a frown as I saw Shikamaru standing at the far back, using the shadows cast by the passing sun to stretch his own out further from his form.
"Shadow Possession Jutsu, successful." I heard him say and smirked as he stood up, watching as Hinata and Sasuke quickly took their chance to try and knock me out as soon as possible.
"Gama." Unfortunately for them, they forgot about my biggest ally who quickly reminded them of his presence as he slashed downwards at the oil in between us to both disrupt the shadow and knock them back with the following shockwave.
Feeling the paralysis snapping away, my hands went into a cross hand sign as I pulled on half of my chakra before smirking as I used the one jutsu that would help me now.
"Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu!" I was obscured in a large puff of smoke that was the same size as the one when I summoned Gamahiro, the smoke fading away to reveal myself hidden amongst the hundred clones I had created.
Without saying anything, all one hundred of us charged forward and towards the group of three genin watching us get closer, but I smirked as I hid in the middle of the group that was heading directly for Shikamaru.
Pulling a shuriken out, I threw it up into the air with a curve that made it come back down, but this time, I grasped the hand of a clone besides me before throwing him in an arc towards the shinobi as well, whose eyes widened as he had leapt back just in time to get dive-bombed by a very excited clone.
Sasuke and Hinata were doing their best against the forty clones each of them were facing, but Shika on the other hand was struggling as the army of clones jumping into him one after the other and not giving him time to activate his jutsu, knocking him into the oil right before they quickly grabbed his arms and legs and I held a kunai to his throat.
"Shikamaru Nara has been eliminated!" Genma's voice echoed from the top and I smirked at the groan that escaped his lips before spinning around as I heard numerous pops in the background, not surprised to see Hinata panting for air and Sasuke looking a bit tired as half of the clones they had faced were dispelled.
"Guys, come on. I still have half of my chakra along with Gamahiro here and a trump card while you two are struggling to keep going." The clone at the front of the group said as I simply hid myself in the sixty or so clones left, to which Hinata frowned before I sighed as I saw Sasuke standing proud while taking a kunai from his pouch.
"I give up."
"Hinata Hyuga has been eliminated!" Genma's voice announced and a few of the clones helped walk alongside her to the viewing balcony while Sasuke stood facing us army of clones, making sure to keep my gaze away from his eyes as he stared us down with a smirk.
"Gamahiro, thanks, but you can go now!"
"Really? Hah, fine, but next time, get me a real foe to fight!" He said and the clone at the front gave a thumbs-up before the toad sent himself back to Mt. Myoboku, the oil still left on the floor around us as well as covering both of our bodies.
"You sure you wanna do this?" The clone at the front asked and Sasuke's response was to simply charge towards it, to which it frowned before nodding as all of us rushed him at once.
The first couple of clones were taken out within an instant as he sliced their throats open, not wasting a single movement as he leapt high and over us all before landing behind us.
I was quick to slow down and let some of the other clones charge forward before I began rushing around the middle of the group, watching as he parried and dodged attacks with his Sharingan while cutting down anyone who gave him an opening.
Signalling to the clones behind me, I raced forward through them all and towards Sasuke, who quickly stabbed the clone below him in the neck before throwing his kunai at me.
However, he must have expected me to be a clone as he looked surprised when I tanked the kunai to the arm and tackled him by the midsection, slamming him back first into the ground before leaping away right as the clones leapt through the air and dove one after the other headfirst to the ground.
To his credit, the Uchiha was quickly to roll out of the way and jump back as the clones disappeared with puffs of smoke the moment they impacted the ground and I used that to my advantage as I created another clone besides me while gathering chakra in my fist.
The clone besides me did the same and placed his hand a few centimeters away from my fist, gathering his own chakra around my fist before his chakra began to give off the soft whistle of wind that quickly picked up pitch until it sounded like hundreds of mini-knives scratching against each other.
'Hopefully, this doesn't kill him.' I thought with a frown as the sound of high-pitched chirping filled the air, Sasuke rocketing out from the smoke with lightning coated around his hand and leaping into the air right as the clone dispelled and I swung my fist covered in violently-rotating wind chakra at his Chidori.
"Wind Style: Rasenken!/ Chidori!" The sound went from high-pitched to damn near ear-bursting as the two jutsu clashed, a shockwave rippling out from the contact point of the jutsu right before I pulled my jutsu to the side the moment it tore through his.
I enjoyed the shock on his face for a brisk moment as I moved out of the way of his left hand before bringing my right fist around for a heavy uppercut to his chin, sending him flying head over heels through the air, but my eyes widened as a figure leapt through the air and caught him.
"Now!" A voice shouted and I watched as dozens of shinobi dressed in Sand and Sound village uniforms leapt out from the crowd, explosions echoing across the village as Kabuto gave me an amused smirk while holding the unconscious Sasuke over his shoulder.
"I'll be seeing you, Naru-!" His eyes widened and he quickly ducked as Kakashi-sensei missed a kick, right into my own trap as I threw a kunai right at him and forced him to jump only for Kakashi-sensei to catch the kunai with chakra from his foot before redirecting it right into his upper thigh.
That gave me the quick moment I needed to create a clone above me before throwing it directly at him, the clone taking out another kunai and throwing it at Kabuto who pulled out the one from his leg to parry it before stabbing it into the neck of the clone.
Unfortunately for him, Kakashi-sensei was right behind him and stabbed through his chest with a sparking Lightning Blade, ripping his hand out the side and taking Sasuke before leaping towards me right as Kabuto fell to the floor with a bloody grin.
"That was too easy, right?" I said to Kakashi-sensei and he simply nodded as Kabuto's face morphed into that of a middle-aged man with dark brown hair and grey eyes, placing Sasuke down besides me while I looked up with a frown at where the old man was standing a few meters away from a smiling Orochimaru, both of them sealed within a dark purple barrier.
However, I gave a mental cheer as I saw Pervy Sage appearing from an invisibility genjutsu, thankful that he listened to my advice as the old man smirked and Orochimaru frowned.
"Naruto, I know you're concerned about Lord Hokage, but he has Lord Jiraiya with him. What I need you to do is make sure that you and all the other genin escort the civilians to the safe points, okay?"
"Sir, yes sir!"
'Kurama?'
"Does this mean what I think it means?" The fox asked with an excited growl and I chuckled as I nodded, throwing Sasuke over my shoulder and making sure he was secured before leaping up into the air while making a cross hand sign.
'Yes, it does.' I answered and in response, bubbling red chakra exuded and wrapped around my body like a cloak, an intense anger filling my body as I felt every single one of my senses being dialled to the max right before I activated my signature jutsu with a manic grin.
"MULTI SHADOW CLONE JUTSU!"
"We got twenty coming from the north-east!"
"An extra seven from the south-east!"
"Sir, fourteen Sand shinobi from the far east and it appears they have another thirty as reinforcements behind them!" Ibiki cursed as he heard the callouts from his men, hiding behind cover along with them as they were bombarded by throwing weapons and jutsu whenever one of the poked their head out.
The attack on the east wall had been instant, perfectly calculated to destroy their section of the wall to let their shinobi storm in while being devastating enough that the surrounding buildings were destroyed by the rubble.
Thankfully, most of the east belonged to the Torture and Intelligence Division so none of the civilians were hurt, but he had lost a few good genin that did their best to buy time for the civilian intelligence officers to get out of the building.
"Take cover!" One of his assistants shouted and he ducked down just in time for a wind jutsu to fly over their heads, watching as it cleaved before frowning as he looked up at the sky to see a lack of falcons flying.
'Damnit, I don't think we're going to make it until the third phase. Wait, is…is that who I think it is?' Ibiki thought with a frown as he saw a familiar golden-haired and orange-wearing figure rushing towards them, watching as the blonde Uzumaki leapt from rooftop to rooftop before jumping high up with his fist raised to the sky.
"FOR KONOHA!" He shouted and Ibiki bore witness to a literal army jumping from the shadows as hundreds of Naruto clones jumped up from the streets, each of them holding something he never thought he would anyone other than Lord Jiraiya do as the clones raised their Rasengans in front of them.
"FOR KONOHA!" They all roared in unison as they dove down towards the enemies, who all tried to best to eliminate the clones but it was too late and Ibiki watched in disbelief as dozens of brilliant blue Rasengans decimated the enemy they were struggling with.
Hearing explosions going off in the distance, he turned and watched as even more hundreds of the same explosions rippled all along the walls and inside the village, staring at the hundreds and hundreds of orange figures leaping from rooftop to rooftop while shouting 'For Konoha' at the top of their lungs.
'Yep. Leave it to the student of Jiraiya himself to do this much devastation on his own.' The Head of Torture and Interrogation thought to himself with a chuckle and a shake of his head before grinning as he turned to his shocked men.
"Well?! We're not going to let a single genin defend our village, are we?!" He roared and his grin widened as his men snapped out of their shock with excited grins.
"No sir!"
"Then let's help our resident prankster show these goddamned Sand and Sound shinobi how Konoha does things. FOR KONOHA!
"FOR KONOHA!"
"FOR KONOHA!"
"Was…was he always this strong?" Sakura heard Ino whisper in shock, which she didn't blame her for as she watched hundreds of copies of her teammates jumping across the arena walls and into the village with excited grins.
The Leaf shinobi inside the arena itself followed after him after dozens of his clones took out every Sand and Sound shinobi inside the arena walls, the civilians also having been carried out by his clones the moment they were formed.
'I knew he was training intensely but…for it to be to this extent? Sasuke and I might not even catch up to him.' She thought in shock as Naruto landed in front of them, but it was more of a stumble as Sasuke dropped to the floor while Naruto barely managed to stop himself from falling onto his face.
"One…delivery…for you…"
"Of course you went overboard like usual." Sakura muttered with an exasperated roll of her eyes as she saw him sweating madly while gasping for air, but there was no helping her proud smile as she helped him to his knees and let him sit up against the far wall.
"You guys okay?" Sakura looked up as she heard Choji's voice, letting out a relieved sigh as she saw him, Shikamaru, Kiba and Tenten landing next to them, with Shikamaru and Kiba carrying Neji and Shino on their backs while Tenten let the still injured Lee rest against the wall.
Hinata was the last to arrive of their group and while she had a worried look on her face the moment she saw Naruto, she let out a relieved sigh as she saw him smile and wave tiredly at her.
"Hey, Hina. Does everyone see the nice pretty stars?" Naruto asked while waving his finger in front of him, to which half of them snickered while the others just sighed at his ability to stay relaxed and calm in their current situation.
'Then again, he probably has hundreds if not thousands of clones fighting all at once so he doesn't feel too stressed since no one can take on a thousand Naruto and win.' Sakura thought with a smile as they all sat down against the wall, the only sound being Naruto's breathing before they groaned in unison as the Uzumaki in question spoke up.
"Anyone wanna go out for ramen later?"
A/N: And the Chunin Arc finally ends?…We'll have to see.
What? Did you expect Naruto to not have a plan in place? Nah, he has many ready…just kidding. He had about the one and if that didn't work, it was let Kurama go four tails and all havoc on anyone that was in his path.
Anyway, next chapter, end of the Chunin Exams Arc and onto a new original one…I think.
Actually, no, one more arc BEFORE the original arc, but this one arc will have some non-canon elements and characters introduced. Look forward to those.
