Hello readers. I welcome you to my new and first Dragon Ball story, I'm not a new fan at all and I assure you that this story won't be short or boring, much less tedious or cliché. From what I see and have read, there are not many fanfics like mine and I have read an infinity of fanfics.
It's more than clear that this is a totally different universe from the one we know, but it will have both canon stuff and stuff completely invented by me. But don't worry, the essence of Dragon Ball will always be there. As for the rest, you can propose all kinds of ideas and give all kinds of opinions, contractive criticisms are accepted, but always directed towards me with all the respect in the world.
At once I inform you that this story will have some jumps in time, as it will be represented from the beginning of this chapter. In order not to confuse anyone I will try to put the year in which that event takes place or put "flashback" at the beginning of that event. Except for how this chapter begins, as it is essential not to ruin the thread that will carry the story.
DRAGON BAL DOES NOT BELONG TO ME NOR ANY OF THE CHARACTERS THAT APPEAR (except for one or another that I will invent, but I will tell you about that later). ALL IS THE UNIQUE CREATION OF AKIRA TORIYAMA AND HIS GREAT IMAGINATION, THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME A BEAUTIFUL CHILDHOOD.
Without further ado, I hope you readers enjoy it.
Chapter 1
The prince of a warrior race is born, his name is Kakarotto.
It has been some years since Bardock, the current King, assumed his place among the Saiyajin royalty. I was aware that he was of blue blood, however, being named crown prince and then king came as a complete surprise. He grew up in the palace, lived in the palace and always returned there after purging a planet.
Barack, his father and the former king, considered him an illegitimate son and even if he was, he didn't have the right to spit in his face every time he saw him. Even if his mother had been of a lower class, he was born with a level strong enough to be allowed to stay on the planet. As soon as the king found out about his birth, he locked him and his mother in the palace to avoid further tarnishing his already dirty reputation. The Saiyajin are supposed to take only one mate and remain loyal to him until death, even if they have no affection or interest in each other. But Barack broke that commitment to his already named mate and queen of the planet. In an attempt to fix his mistake, Barack made Bardock's mother a concubine, something that was not as punishable by society or the crown, but even so, the king was scarred for life for his mistake and Bardock long received unfair looks from both elite and lower-class warriors.
King Barack was always avoiding problems even before Bardock came into his life, for this reason the illegitimate second prince, although he was raised as royalty and had more advantages than non-royalty soldiers, was actually excluded from many things being rejected as one of them. In the end it didn't matter to Bardock, since he was a kid he was sent on normal missions without being considered special or important, just another one of the bunch. That's how many ended up overlooking the second and illegitimate prince of the planet Vegeta, as time went by Bardock never had a real influence in his father's world and even less in the society that treated him as a low class nobody, his existence seemed an open secret and as the royal choir took care of not making scandals or spreading rumours about him, people and soldiers, in general, followed their normal life. His childhood was spent on the battlefield and when he returned from conquering planets he only returned to his golden cage, which he would hate even more if it wasn't for his mother; he lived a quiet life with her and she became his only reason to survive and return to the hell he called home. When his mother Labash dies, everything that ever made sense to Bardock was shattered. At the age of 16, Bardock went to great lengths to get out of his father's shadow by escaping from the palace, taking mission after mission to avoid being found easily by going in and out of the registry. At first this annoyed the king for disobeying his orders, but the fact that he was out of his sight had a great influence on his final decision to leave him alone.
Years passed and the second illegitimate prince of this planet seemed only a memory in the minds of a few close to the crown, while the general population of the planet Vegeta had almost completely forgotten all the royal scandal that once existed, everything seemed to take shape and start, until once again things for the royal family became complicated.
Turles, Bardock's half-brother, was born as the crown prince, everyone on the planet considered him the next king, at least until he rebelled against Freezer's empire and Freezer sent Zarbon to kill him and his team of rebels. The news came as a bucket of cold water to the queen, deciding to end her own life shortly thereafter. Barack had no choice but to name Bardock crown prince in front of the entire planet Vageta, which came as a surprise to all the Saiyajins, who did not know for sure Bardock's past. This appointment undoubtedly caused discontent with some Saiyajin who believed him unworthy of the position, even if he had blue blood in his veins it was tainted with his mother's ordinary blood. Bardock settled this issue easily by submitting himself to all sorts of challenges and dares from other Saiyajin, winning every time, mostly without shedding a drop of sweat. He had improved greatly in power since he had spent day and night fighting to avoid returning to the palace. In this way he gained the affection and respect of the people, with a lot of effort. He was no longer just the best warrior of the lower class, he was now their prince and although some people resented or envied him, they knew very well where he belonged.
How did he get here? Why did he remember all this, was this...was this the end of him?!
PLANET VEGETA ROYAL PALACE OF VEGETA YEAR 737
Stop talking nonsense Bardock! - The king's thunderous shout was heard throughout the room, the gloomy atmosphere became somewhat heavy, as Bardock looked at the king with a serious and impenetrable countenance - Who the hell would believe this kind of nonsense! Putting the planet on high alert just because you had a stupid nightmare?! HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR BROTHER TURLES?! - It was obvious that nothing would come of trying to reason with that king, Freezer's puppet since Turles died. It was as if the proud Saiyajin he once knew was a bloody coward. Even if he hated him most of the time, he knew he was a mighty warrior, deep down he was even glad he was born among Saiyajin royalty. His lofty expectations made too much noise, so much so that the entire planet heard that rumble as they fell like old sackcloth. The king he once knew was no more, just a puppet ornament in his place, pathetic.
As you wish...if your wish is to die along with this planet, so be it. But I will not let you take the Saiyajin race along with you on a mere whim of their poor attempt at a king! - Bardock's words made the king question himself, on the other hand, he was so furious with the prince that the blood boiled inside him, he understood perfectly well that it was all true, although of course, he would never admit it. The heir left without giving Barack any importance, he had a lot of work to do if he wanted to save the entire population of the planet Vegeta.
As he walked through the long, lonely corridors of that palace, he pondered, trying to construct an ingenious and cunning plan. The evil Emperor Freezer ordered each and every Saiyajin to return to the planet immediately, no one contradicted that order, but none of this seemed normal to Bardock. He may have been the only Saiyajin with any sense, but no other Saiyajin seemed concerned by this sudden order. How could his race possibly trust a bloody planet destroyer? They even seemed to have a degree of faith in him.
Still lost in thought, a blue-armoured soldier was trying with all his might to catch up with Bardock, and when he realised this he stopped and looked around curiously.
Your Highness! - The soldier stopped panting with exhaustion in front of Bardock - I've been looking all over for you, Bardock.
What the hell are you doing here Tooma? I thought you were on your way to your mission - Bardock turned to his squadron friend who still looked quite exhausted - That's right Bardock, it's-it's just that, Fasha told me through the tracker that... - As Tooma was about to continue Bardock interrupted him in frustration - You said through the tracker?! I thought I told you that those things communicate everything we tell Freezer's army - His interruption was taken lightly by Tooma until he remembered the real message he was bringing to his squadron general - We know that Bardock, that's why I contacted you through the private channel you set up for us. That doesn't matter now, Fasha told me that the second prince, your son was about to be born - Bardock instantly changed from a hard and serious countenance, to a surprised and worried one. Tooma never thought he would see this reaction from Bardock, the man had been a hard head since he met him, but seeing him so hysterical, worried him a little - Why didn't they tell me immediately?! Are you sure they communicated through the private channel?! You know how delicate this situation is, Tooma! - The blue-armoured warrior followed close behind Bardock, as he hurried towards the medical area - I know captain, I'm sure they informed me through the private channel. It seemed that Fasha was at that moment more occupied with helping Gine, if it wasn't for that, he would have surely sent someone to warn me - The prince hurriedly followed his gait with a formal look, so that no one would notice how great his concern was.
When Raditz was born, Freezer informed the royal family of his new favourite monkey's place in their army, the first legitimate heir to Planet Vegeta, commanding that immediately upon his 4th birthday, Raditz would be sent to his ship to be sent on higher ranking missions, after all his power could not be ignored so easily, being born with 210 units of power. Raditz was taken away from his family to become their servant, a cold-blooded warrior.
Bardock didn't see much of a problem with his son becoming stronger, what really worried him was what kind of methods Freezer would use on his son. Even King Barack became concerned for the prince's safety in this matter, but he wouldn't let it show. The most affected ended up being Gine, who cried day and night after her son's departure, confident that the small values that she instilled in him all the time she spent with him in the early years would not be forgotten, but this confidence was fading as she noticed that she had not been allowed to see the boy for over a year. It was at this point that they learned of the arrival of their second child, everyone who knew about it kept it deep inside, even King Barack thought it was the right thing to do to keep such secrets from a tyrant like Freezer, no one who was not close to the royal family knew anything about the arrival of the new prince and likewise Freezer was clearly not aware. Which was a danger, for the instant he found out, he would be quite angry with the Saiyajin royalty for keeping such an important matter from him. They took that risk, after all, sometimes it's better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.
They were almost through the door of the room Gine was in, when Planthorr, Bardock's trusted physician, came out, bumping into the Saiyajin prince.
Well, Bardock, I'm glad you're here. Gine is in a recovery tank, I'm sure it won't be long before she's out." The doctor walked calmly, while Bardock looked at him perplexed, with Tooma at his side equally as surprised. - From the look on his face, Bardock is prepared for anything. He followed the doctor closely, though he seemed relaxed and stopped not far from the door - It wasn't like that prince, nothing bad happened to her, she's just recovering her energy - Bardock instantly seemed to take a load off his mind, knowing that Gine was fine, maybe even forgetting a little detail - By the way, I forgot, Malaka, you can come out now! I think our prince will be very interested to meet his son - Immediately the reptilian-looking alien came out of the room along with an incubation tank filled with a certain liquid. Inside was a tiny newborn baby boy with a rather peculiar hair, just like his father's - Here he was, your majesty, the second prince of the planet Vegeta. Malaka, what can you tell our prince about his son's power levels? - All present turned their gaze towards the reptile, who looked at them with some nervousness on his part - Apparently it is something indecipherable, Your Excellency - The answer left the doctor astonished and Bardock and Tooma curious - Explain yourself, Malaka.
Yes, of course, sir. My records confirmed that the little prince may possess an immense amount of power majesty, he is a gifted S-Cell. Although at the moment he has a somewhat low power, it is somewhat understandable since he possesses the ability of learnability, I mean he can learn new skills and acquire knowledge efficiently and effectively. Very few of the saiyajin race are born with this kind of abilities, I suggest that once he is old enough to leave the capsule he starts his training and I assure you that he will be a great warrior, considering that he increases his number of S cells to a thousand per hour, he could even be the legendary warrior, the Super Saiyajin - The report given by Malaka left everyone stunned. To think that his youngest son could have such a facility to become the legendary warrior seemed crazy to him.
Not long ago, scientists on the planet Vegeta discovered the abilities that S-cells bring with them, yet such a level had never been seen before, not even in his own first-born, nor in himself. Previously it was thought that, simply by being born with negligible or very great fighting power, you could belong to a certain class, however, when Bardock's grandfather, King Quash who ruled the planet Vegeta with wisdom, set out to discover the secret ingredient to achieve the legend, it prompted a large number of scientists to discover it. This research came to a standstill when King Cold stood in their way, but not before the saiyajin knew that the transformation was possible if you had certain single-celled microorganisms found inside the body of all individuals with saiyajin blood or DNA, calling them, S-Cells, a closely guarded secret to this day, that only royalty knows and only they can measure to know their rank.
Bardock stood for a few minutes staring at his newborn son. It was so similar to him, like looking in a mirror, but twenty-seven years younger. That he was born with such a low level of power didn't matter to him, but he was exceedingly concerned about his S-Cell rank, a record that would no doubt be hard to break for a long time, and that made him smile for a moment until he remembered how great Freezer's desire to get rid of his son would be, no doubt he would consider him the greatest of his threats.
Congratulations Bardock, it seems you are the father of a very promising warrior. Even your son could be the warrior of legend that Freezer fears so much, aren't you happy Bardock? - smiled Tooma optimistically, which brought Bardock out of his thoughts. On the one hand, they were the only ones who could know that the Super Saiyajin was among them and the power their son possessed would certainly not attract Freezer's attention at the moment, but, it was a fact that his level would increase over the years and on the other hand this baby, their son, was the last hope that everyone on this planet had to at some point defeat Freezer. Things that are precious are guarded and hidden so that at the right time they will resurface and fulfil their purpose. Bardock was determined to preserve something, especially if it was his blood. The prince gave his son a proud look, touching the crystal of the incubator. He then fixed his serious gaze on Tooma, who still had a smile on his face.
Do we still have any capsules left? - he asked his friend, leaving him with a surprised look on his face... "What? But, Bardock, your son is sensational, are you really going to send him as a Flying Infantryman because of his weak fighting level? - Tooma replied with concern as the prince kept his eyes fixed on his son - That's not why Tooma. I am sure that my son will become a great warrior, but I also know very well that... death for this planet is fast approaching. That's why I need to keep the only chance we have to defeat Freezer away from this planet, I...I can't protect him if that damn Freezer finds out - Tooma was stunned by Bardock's statement, clenching his fists tightly as he thought about the damn emperor - Well, I guess I understand that Bardock. Still, it's a very drastic decision, I wouldn't want to be you when you tell Gine - At that thought Bardock shuddered a little, his angry wife was someone he didn't want to run into - Neither do I. By the way, Tooma, I'll need someone to look after Kakarotto while he's on another planet, do you think you can be my son's bodyguard?
You know I do Majesty...although if the boy turns out to be as hard-headed as you, I may have to reconsider - The comment frustrated Bardock a little, but knowing beforehand how Tooma was, he decided to play along - Is that how you talk about your future King? Ha, maybe I'll also force you to inform Gine about the bad news - This comment terrified his friend, who shuddered at the mere thought of how Gine would react to all this - It was just a simple joke Bardock, rest assured I'll be the best babysitter you can get in this galaxy - Bardock's character softened with that comment - We'll see, Tooma, we'll see.
I'm really glad that the first chapter is finished, I really suffered a lot because the first time I developed it my WORD got stuck and erased everything I had written . _ .
Surely the first chapter would have been released earlier if it hadn't been for that and even though that tragedy happened to me, I was able to improve some little details and simplify more things. It turned out to be for the best.
I confirm once and for all that I would like to continue this story for much longer, as this being the beginning even I myself am obsessed with seeing what comes next.
Now, if I see that you like my work (sending comments or opinions and even new ideas) I confirm that I will continue it until the end, whatever happens, and although I will continue it anyway (because I write this story for fun and my own taste) surely with your good comments and opinions I will be even more motivated to finish it, so if you want quick updates I ask you for a lot of encouragement in each chapter, I put my heart in everything I write (at least I try).
I hope you enjoyed it and thank you for reading.
