Chapter 6

Planet Kacock

EARTH | YEAR 738

Hit me with all your might!– The boy challenged the baby that was right in front of him. To which the latter took it very personally and threw his small fist straight at the face of the older boy, to which the latter stopped that small and tender blow, but with much fury on the part of his little brother – Ha, considering that you're still a baby, I suppose it's not so bad – A smile appeared on the boy's face while the baby looked at him with a frown. In an instant, both of them burst out laughing and fell onto the grass in the forest, looking up at the bright blue sky.

In the distance, two Saiyans were subtly spying on them between the bushes, but at the same time, cutting the large trunks of the forest for the firewood that they would take to old Gohan.

I don't think we should be too hasty. This behavior reminds me of how Gine was overprotective of Raditz when he was a baby – Totappo mentioned to his partner Tooma who, like him, was hiding in the bushes without attracting the attention of the little Saiyans. Tooma let out a heavy sigh and looked at Totappo.

I also find it quite ridiculous, but I don't want to even imagine what Bardock would do to us if something bad happened to his children, having us as his escorts. Also, the last time I lost sight of Goku, he fell off a cliff and was unconscious for two days – Totappo nodded at his partner's comment.

I still don't understand why you call him by that strange name, Goku, it's not worthy of a Saiyan prince – Totappo reacted curiously while Tooma came out from under the bush and prepared to give a direct blow to the tree in front of him.

I thought it was a pretty fitting name, it seems like when you call him by that nickname he gets happy, it has calmed him down many times when he starts crying – Tooma argues as Totappo accurately hits another tree

I guess, but I don't think Bardock would be too happy to see you change his son's name – The thud of both trees falling was heard, as each Saiyan threw their trunk and broke it into pieces for firewood.

I'm not changing his name, I just think it's a nickname that suits him quite well – The pieces of firewood fell and both Saiyans carried as many as they could, walking towards Son Gohan's house.

If you say so. This was a very long year Tooma, planet Earth is a pretty nice place, no Frieza, no worries. When Raditz and I got here Kakarotto was quite a restless child, I thought he would bring us as much trouble as the general when he's angry. It's funny that after that accident he's become quite cheerful and playful – Totappo looked towards where Raditz and little Kakarotto were playing and fighting at the same time, spinning in the grass like Saiyans their age.

That worries me. For a moment I thought he didn't remember any of us. The good thing was that with the medicines I found in his capsule he healed faster. I hope Bardock never finds out about that – Tooma felt a chill as he thought of Bardock's cold and angry face if he were to find out. Meanwhile, Totappo whistled through the forest. It wasn't long before they reached old Gohan's hut and he greeted them.

The food was prepared and everyone sat at the table together, the Saiyans devoured the tons of food while Gohan ate very calmly, still surprised by the voracious appetite of the 4 Saiyans.

At night both Raditz and Kakarotto fell fast asleep.

As the moon rose to its highest point at night, Tooma went to check on his capsule as he did every night. It had become so routine that it could even be considered a night walk. He arrived at his ship and as the capsule opened, he saw a small green light coming out of all the holes. A map with the exact coordinates of a planet was formed with holograms in the dark sky, that was his sign, the one that assured him that Bardock and the other Saiyans were alive.

He stared at those coordinates for a few seconds. That planet was close, they would reach it in less than 5 months. He sighed in relief and thought about waking everyone up to tell them the news, but in any case, that would be his last night on Earth. He looked at the moon with nostalgia. On the one hand, he would return to his family and on the other, he would miss the warm atmosphere of the planet. Fasha would surely be waiting for him with longing and Bardock would hope that Tooma would take off immediately to see his children as soon as possible.

In the end he decided that it was best to let everyone rest while he prepared things to leave early the next day.

Hours passed and the first to wake up as usual was Gohan, taking his morning walk. The old man noticed Tooma was missing and searched for him in the forest, finding him right where he thought he would be.

Waking up early?– Gohan asked him, coming out of the forest, heading towards Tooma who was resting on the grass. He had just finished packing some things and checking the capsules.

Not exactly, it was an attack of insomnia– Tooma stood up and stood in front of Grandpa Gohan.

So you didn't sleep all night. So they sent you the coordinates yet?– The old man looked in surprise at all the capsules lined up for takeoff and the long journey that awaited them.

Yes, we will have to leave once Raditz and Goku wake up – Gohan was a little surprised by such a sudden departure, but then he looked at Tooma with a smile of nostalgia. That year he had become accustomed to having Saiyans around, above all he had become fond of Goku and formed bonds of loyalty with Tooma.

I wish you all the best Tooma, you were a great support here on Mount Paoz and I have no doubt that we will meet again. If you ever want to come back, you know that you have a place reserved in my house – Tooma looked at Gohan with immense joy and gratitude. Meanwhile, a child came out from the bushes being chased by a baby who was struggling to take his first steps.

It's easy!– The boy jumped with a long mane of hair, heading especially towards the two adults who did not miss him.

Maybe you should leave something for your parents Goku, when we get to the new planet they will only feel very disappointed if they find out that I was in the front row when you walked and said your first word – Tooma's mocking laugh held a hint of concern. He knew that no parent would like not to be present at their child's first steps, but Bardock and Gine would feel horrible when they found out that their child's first word was the name of a native of Earth.

Gohan! Gohan!– Little Kakarotto shouted, waving his hands at the old man. The old man smiled at him very gently and always tried to pamper him. The old man lifted the baby from the grass, tossing him lightly into the air. Raditz, on the other hand, jumped up and down with great energy.

Totappo also came out of the forest yawning heartily.

I was looking for you Tooma, you didn't come back to the cabin yesterday– Totappo told him while standing in front of Tooma, somewhat curious to see the capsules ready for takeoff, this surprised him – So, has Bardock already sent us the new location?

That's how it is -Those short words caused Raditz to be surprised, who stopped jumping energetically and looked at both Saiyans, his face became worried and he looked down thinking about what he would do when he saw his parents again.

It had been two whole years since he saw them, he hadn't grown much, but he didn't know how to react when he saw them again. His younger brother didn't know them very well either and if we're being honest, to the little baby, they were just two new people he'd known for less than 3 hours. Raditz struggled to process things and deep down all he wanted was a hug from his mother.

The boy turned to see his brother being thrown into the air by the old man Gohan, he now had a partner in pranks to annoy his father, someone he would fight a lot with to become stronger and an accomplice in mischief. He was no longer alone, certainly something good for his emotional health. Thinking about those possibilities encouraged him, thus making the decision to run towards his ship and catch the eyes of everyone around, due to the boy's enthusiasm with the idea of reaching the new home for the Saiyans as soon as possible.

I'm ready now, I don't know what else you're waiting for!– The little prince shouted while a small drop of sweat fell down Totappo's forehead.

I guess someone is very eager to arrive, aren't you, little prince?– Tooma smiled, while Raditz crossed his arms.

Well, I guess this is a see you later Mr. Gohan. We appreciate everything you did for us.– Totappo addressed Gohan, while the old man only smiled kindly and nodded, still holding little Goku in his arms.

It was no bother at all– Gohan mentioned, kindness in his entire countenance. He handed the little one-year-old boy to Tooma and he put him in his ship. Gohan stared at the baby and instantly remembered something – I almost forgot for a second. Wait here, I have to give little Goku something.

The old man ran off towards the cabin and while the Saiyans waited curiously, the old man continued searching his house without stopping. It wasn't many minutes until Gohan returned with an orange sphere, stopping in front of the baby's capsule.

Okay, this is what I would like to give you, I found this sphere not far from here. I guess it will be a good souvenir, so that even after years, you will remember this old man, Goku. I appreciate that you have shared this last year here, it was a privilege to know you little one, I know that you will be a great warrior – I hand the four-star sphere to the little boy on board the ship, who didn't understand much, but he understood enough to take the glowing sphere with both hands and hold it tightly. The old man looked at this with joy and it wasn't long before he focused on Raditz who looked at his little brother with a little envy.

I haven't forgotten you little Raditz– The boy seemed embarrassed at being noticed, while Gohan walked towards him with a wooden box, which he opened when he was in front of the boy, revealing all the jars containing quite peculiar insects, such as fireflies and ladybugs, especially beetles of different colors. Raditz reacted quite surprised and his eyes lit up upon receiving such a gift – I know how much you liked to see them here on Earth. I was only able to capture a few that I researched and they had a long life expectancy. I also sent you some interesting books so you can take care of them, I'm sure…

Thanks Gohan!– For the first time the boy gave the old man a brief hug, taking the box of insects and storing it in a safe place on his ship – Tooma! How long will it take us to get there? – Both Saiyans were petrified in place as was Gohan, still processing the scene of gratitude that Raditz had.

Oh, yeah... I guess if we go full speed we can get there in less than 3 months – I react with some uncertainty, looking at the little prince somewhat worried, bringing his hand to his chin.

Hmm... I don't think I have any other choice. Well, we have to go right away. Thanks for everything Gohan – He finished saying, at the same time that the door of his capsule closed. Gohan smiled happily while Tooma and Totappo entered their ships, saying goodbye to the old man from afar. Once all the ships were closed, they began to float, shooting off into the sky.

The old man watched from a considerable distance until the ships left the atmosphere. He stopped looking at the sky and placed both hands on his back, leaving with a smile on his face and disappearing among the trees of the forest.

Everyone on their ships took one last look at Earth with a warm smile, before entering hypersleep.

Little Kakarotto or Goku, as the old man Gohan called him, placed his small hand on the glass of the ship, it would be a long time before he returned and many things would happen on Earth before it could see his return. His black eyes stared at the Earth, as if deep inside he promised himself to return. He looked at the sphere that the old man had given him and it showed him his reflection,

Gohan… goodbye– He said the baby Saiyan before falling asleep.

A new world would be waiting for them when they woke up.

PLANET KACOCK | YEAR 738

Purple sky, pink clouds, fertile soil, trees with orange trunks and some deer-like animals that jumped through the grasslands of the planet. The life that this planet housed was very little, but what existed prospered on the planet. Water on much of the planet and with the necessary resources to live for thousands and thousands of generations.

This was the new planet of the Saiyans.

A few months had passed since Planet Vegeta exploded, a report that was given to each and every Saiyan. Bardock arrived with Gine days after the first ships, received by all as an honorable warrior and savior of the race. Finally named King of this new planet under the light of the three full moons of Planet Kacock, which only completed their cycle every 3 years. A fairly simple coronation ceremony, nothing ostentatious.

In one of his first meetings with the council, which Bardock had as King, the topic of what the Saiyans would do now that they no longer work for Frieza was discussed. Although they had studies and were a race with sufficiently advanced intelligence, most of the Saiyans were born warriors who demanded revenge for everything that Emperor Frieza put them through.

There were several sessions in which they touched on the subject, but that was a question about which they still had no doubts and their uncertainty was palpable.

Finally, everyone agreed that they should grow as a race on the planet, at least until they were ready to face Frieza, something that they would only achieve by reinforcing their strength and power. That left them with the last option of holding a tournament, which would take place every three years, on the day of the full moon for the three moons in Kacock. This competition of power would serve to commemorate the destruction of planet Vegeta, the revenge that the Saiyans were eagerly awaiting and to measure the level of fight of the best Saiyan warriors, since, with the pride that each of them carried, almost the entire general population would find a way to become stronger so as not to be humiliated in the competition.

With that decision made and few matters left pending, King Bardock ended the session.

The palace they had been building with great effort looked more complete every day. The night on the planet was cold, but at a bearable level. Without a doubt, it was a perfect planet for the Saiyans, even despite the slightly increased gravity, which served them well to increase their strength. The breeze that Bardock felt from that rocky mountain was refreshing, the change suited him well. Everyone on the planet was facing the same thing, everyone was starting from scratch, even him.

The lights could be seen in the distance, allowing Bardock to see a very well organized camp, which had been formed by his lower class friends, among them were Gine and Fasha, who watched with grace as Ape, the son that Tooma and Fasha had together, three years older than their youngest son, tried to stand up without help from his mother despite gravity. Not only they enjoyed the night, in general everyone in the makeshift camp looked at the stars with fascination, the most experienced warriors told some stories of their travels to the youngest and the children practiced and invented their own techniques for the battlefield, this is how a Saiyan plays with another, by hitting. Watching those scenes brought him some nostalgia, it had been 3 months since Bardock sent the signal to Tooma and he still didn't know if he even received the message. Bardock looked towards the dark sky of Kacock, when Leek, sneaked up behind Bardock, the King was grateful that they didn't shout his name, he wasn't deaf enough to not know that they were always looking for him, especially when he thought about it.

What do you need now Leek?– I let out a heavy sigh, as the Saiyan soldier remained in a bowing position.

I just came to inform you, my King, that four ships are about to land on the planet. Do you want us to destroy them before they enter the atmosphere?– I asked politely, but Bardock immediately raised his head with energy and flatly denied Leek his request.

Of course not! I think I know who they are, tell me, where will they land?– Leek reacted curiously to such a question, but did not hesitate to answer.

Nearby, Your Majesty. In fact, they are already here – The Saiyan warrior stated.

Bardock looked at those capsules with a serious face, but everyone in the camp noticed this arrival. The King ran away, Gine in the distance could understand the message and followed him closely. They crossed the forest full of yellow leaves with desperation, until they reached the four craters that the capsules had made when landing, Gine was about to fall, but Bardock immediately prevented this from happening by grabbing her by the back. Some Saiyans, escorts of the royal family, followed them and remained cautious when the first capsule began to open, small lights that twinkled like tiny stars began to sprout from it, the royal couple stared at these small lights with fascination and when the capsule was completely open, a child with long hair shot out of it.

Weren't they supposed to hatch in my pod and leave me! Stupid fireflies! – The little boy ran chasing the glowing insects with a glass jar, jumping to catch them, without success.

Raditz?... RADITZ! It's you! – Gine, for her part, ran after the child, managing to catch him by the back and then squeeze him in her arms with all her strength.

Mom…you…suffocate me – Raditz writhed in his mother's arms, who misjudged her strength when trying to hug him. Immediately upon hearing the word "suffocation" Gine released the child, who breathed unconcerned again. The Saiyan woman looked at him with a kind smile full of tranquility, when Raditz stopped to stare at her with a mischievous and amused look.

For Gine, that moment had frozen; she touched her son's cheek and hugged him again more gently, being reciprocated by Raditz who, in the same way, seemed to need that hug for a long time. All the escorts and some other warriors, look at the scene normally, it was not the first time that Gine showed that she loved her children with more tender actions, however, Raditz noticed all the spectators and the moment became somewhat embarrassing for him, showing a blush on his part.

I'm fine mom, you didn't have to worry – He moved away a little, his ears red. Gine understood and let out a mocking laugh. They both left the crater and Raditz stopped in front of his father, Bardock. A sideways smile curved on his mouth and he touched Raditz's head, ruffling his hair.

Nice to see you, Raditz – The boy's eyes opened wide, his father had never been so direct with him, but seeing him happy was enough to make a smile form on his face as well.

The royal guard soldiers went back to alert when they felt someone else approaching, everyone present turned in the direction from which Totappo and Tooma were coming out, the latter carrying Kakarotto. The royal escorts stopped being on guard; Gine, Bardock and Raditz all went in search of these 3 Saiyans, especially Gine, who, as soon as she could, snatched Kakarotto from the hands of the soldier Tooma, leaving the baby somewhat stunned by such brutality of love, too many kisses and hugs for someone so small.

At first Kakarotto was scared, after all, he didn't know his mother as well as he knew Tooma or even Raditz and Totappo, this made his upper lip start to tremble and his eyes get glassy, but the moment Gine tangled her tail with his it was like a reminder to him, a strong bond that he didn't know existed, something significant for a baby of barely 1 year and months. Bardock smiled at such a scene and Tooma felt relieved, tilting his head to the side tenderly at that reunion.

For a moment I thought you hadn't received my message – Bardock addressed Tooma, who turned to look at him.

And I thought everyone was dead and the four of us were the only survivors - Tooma reacted with a mocking smile looking at his old friend. No one seemed to notice the Saiyan woman who pounced on Tooma from behind, taking him by surprise, causing Bardock to laugh.

You didn't think I'd forget you, did you, Tooma? – Fasha lifted the Saiyan and grabbed him tightly by his armor, she had never felt so happy and so angry at the same time.

Fasha, of course I won't forget you– Tooma reacted with panic, sweating in fear as he saw his wife's fierce gaze.

I hope so soldier, you already have many consequences for leaving me with your son for more than a year to take care of a baby that is not even yours – Tooma didn't know how to handle that situation, maybe that's why he wanted to stay on Earth longer, so he wouldn't have to face this kind of anger.

No, no, no, I…I just wanted…I thought that you and Ape…I never wanted… - Tooma stammered, he had never been so afraid of his beloved wife Fasha. She had always been harsh with him, sometimes for silly reasons, now she had reasons and that was even scarier. The Saiyan woman approached his face and gave him a fleeting kiss, consequently, she grabbed him by the leg and dragged him away angrily.

The spectators saw Tooma's fear and Fasha's bipolarity, everyone was worried, but no one wanted to interfere.

If he's still alive tomorrow, we'll talk about this, Tooma! – Bardock shouted, fearing for the safety of his best trusted soldier, but with a mocking smile. Meanwhile, Tooma looked at him with a face full of shame and wanting to ask for help.

As for Kakarot, he was amused to see that Tooma was being treated like an old rag. Gine, still holding the baby in her arms, grabbed Raditz's hand and gestured for the soldiers to leave. Soon the royal family also left for their temporary home, after Bardock shared all the news with Totappo.

Kakarotto had some trouble sleeping, on the other hand, Raditz fell asleep on his bed, exhausted like a sack, it had been a long time since he felt so comfortable sleeping, without worrying about someone coming and attacking him while he was completely off guard. Bardock and Gine went outside for a few moments to get some fresh air, tired, but with the achievement of having been able to put Kakarotto to sleep.

Is this an achievement? Because, for me, it is – Said the now named King Bardock, who dropped to the ground. Gine preferred to sit next to him and look at the stars, it had been a long time since she had seen a sky so full of them, even on her previous missions.

We just have to get used to it. It was a long time that we were alone and now that we are together, it is relieving, but…also somewhat tiring.– Gine commented with a light sigh, with her armor covered in milk and some processed foods, she decided to lie down next to Bardock. In the darkness of the forest, the fireflies that Raditz brought with him could still be seen, while in the night sky, the universe could be seen in all its splendor.

I still can't believe that... we escaped – Bardock muttered to himself, not expecting Gine to hear him as well. Gine turned her face to look at Bardock, they had waited too long for this moment of calm.

I never doubted that we would do it – The Saiyan exclaimed, surprising Bardock, who ended up smiling and fixing his gaze on the starry sky.

They both closed their eyes and curled up outside their home. The beds they had were occupied by their children. They didn't want to wake them up and suffer Kakarotto's crying, so they preferred to sleep outdoors. They fell asleep quickly, sleeping under the stars and with the warm breeze of the Planet.

At last, everything was taking shape.

INTERGALACTIC PATROL MILITARY BASE | YEAR 738

The patrolmen walked calmly through the facilities, not noticing that an alien was grumbling his way towards the ship hangar.

"A Saiyan? Yeah, right. Ships from Frieza's army on planet PU-91390? Who would believe that? What kind of sick joke is this? What surprises me the most is that the King gave me this ridiculous mission. Me, a galactic patrolman, almost named elite! I can't mess around. Although… the Galactic King said that if I completed this mission successfully he would promote me. Very soon I will be one of the greats and then…"

JACO!– Kramis pulled Jaco out of his noisy thoughts, noticing the purple alien addressing him a little annoyed for interrupting him.

What do you want Kramis?– Jaco said with some irony in his voice as Kramis approached him subtly.

The Galactic King sent me as your mission partner– Kramis announced, something that Jaco didn't take very kindly and looked at him with repulsion, this was noticed by Kramis – Don't make that face, Jaco, I was only sent to help you. The King said that you would go after some Saiyans on planet PU – 91390. If it's true that these Saiyans escaped the destruction of Planet Vegeta, then you'll need all the help you can get!

No need, a few Saiyans aren't enough to stop a big galactic patrolman like me!– Jaco declared while striking his classic hero pose. Kramis could only let out a funny chuckle, something that ended up annoying Jaco even more – It's not a game! Each Galactic Patrolman has their own unique version of the Hero Pose, does that sound like a joke to you, newbie?

Of course not Jaco. Besides, you haven't been here long enough to call me a rookie –Kramis claimed, watching Jaco turn around and head back to his ship without a word.

You don't understand. This is my ticket to being an elite patrolman, I can be respected by this organization, it's all I've wanted since I got here – His eyes turned into a sea of tears as he thought of all the applause for having such a title, while his partner looked at him with blank eyes.

I think you are exaggerating– Kramis reproached, getting on Jaco's ship and leaving him in his dramatic moment.

I guess you can come with me, but on the condition that you don't get in my way, newbie – He also got into the ship and closed the hatch, preparing all the commands for takeoff.

I'm not a NOVICE!– Kramis shouted angrily, forming a smile on Jaco's face with such a reaction on his part.

The ship took off in a few moments, with both patrol boats in search of information and answers. Perhaps without a set objective, but with the spirit necessary to face the problems.

For me it's a good start to something bigger, it could have been worse, although I also felt that it was a lot of filler, but for some reason I wanted to write those scenes. I hope you liked it.

I remind you again that if I see that you like my work (sending comments or opinions and even new ideas) I confirm that I will continue it until the end, no matter what happens, and although I will continue it anyway (because I write this story for fun and my own pleasure) surely with your good comments and opinions I will be even more motivated to finish it, so if you want quick updates I ask you to be very encouraged in each chapter, I put my heart in everything I write (at least that's what I try)

I hope you enjoyed it and thanks for reading.
