Spoilers for the series, this part in particular chapter 107*

"I love you Kitagawa-San. Sorry for dumping all of that on you. But I think…I will always love you. I'll leave now," I told her on the day where any chance of returning to how it was before I met Kitagawa…no Marin-san ended.

As I began to turn to leave I saw a hand, felt the full weight of Marin-San slam into me, and the next thing I knew I was on the ground, the girl who seemed to be from another world on top of me taking in a deep breath and next my ears start ringing as she just starts shouting inches from my face.

"I LOVE YOU TOO! I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH GOJO-KUN!"

Before, it took my brain a minute to process what was happening. But now, four years later, it's one of my happiest memories. It comes fresher into my mind today as I finish up this most recent Hina Doll because I made a proper decision.

I'm going to propose to Marin-san.

But, I need to ask for everyone's help. I have a few fears and concerns despite my friends' support but this is a life changing decision. Not just for me. But for everyone.

The first is definitely Grandpa. This wasn't something I couldn't compromise on. Especially with the way I was thinking about doing this.

So, I finished the work I was doing on this Hina Doll, picked it up and brought it with me to present it to Grandpa.

"Ah Wakana. How's the new doll coming along?" Grandpa asked as I came down, setting aside his paper.

"Just finished it. I'm a bit nervous about how the hands are positioned but there's a reason I have them that way," I answered, taking my usual position across from him and waited.

Like always, Grandpa worked his way over the doll that I spent the last two weeks working on. Marin-San has been busy with some recent modeling jobs so I haven't had any time to see her recently, which worked for me as this was something major that I wanted to get done for her. Each turn, each position, each line, each stitch and more are passed under Grandpa's artisan's eyes. A long moment passes. Then another. And another.

Finally, he puts his glasses down on the table, still holding the doll in his hand. Her blonde hair with the hints of pink highlights at the end, the blush on the face, even the gothic lolita style of the kimono that I made for it. It was the most intense review Grandpa has done in some time.

"So," Grandpa said, taking a deep breath in, "are you ready for what this entails?"

"Yes," I answered without a moment's hesitation.

I tense up. Thinking to myself every moment like this and thinking about every moment Marin-San and I spent. From the first time her eyes lit up as she tried the first Shizuku-tan outfit, the time she told the entire school that I made her costume for her, Haniel, our first kiss, the beach trips, the fireworks festival, everything. A slight sweat as I await the judgement. Grandpa sighed, eyes closed.

"I think you're ready. She's going to love it," Grandpa said with a massive smile.

The words instantly washed over me taking the fear away. I sit up straighter, "Does this mean that-"

Grandpa laughed a full belly laugh, "Yes Wakana. I've known for a while! I was wondering when you were going to ask. Guess it's time huh?"

I can't help but let out a light chuckle, "Yeah. I saw a ring the other day that I thought was absolutely beautiful and it complimented her greatly. I was thinking of asking Nowa-san to help me get the actual ring size," I blink, "Wait you knew?"

Grandpa laughed, "Wakana my boy, you're really bad at keeping this kind of thing secret. Plus this is based on the first outfit you made for her. I'm pretty sure you're asking for my permission before going off to ask for permission from Masumi-san and her friends right? Well get going my boy! She's waited long enough I think."

The instant level of heat my entire body feels from the embarrassment hits me all at once. Guess I should have known just like how I told him when we started dating. Well, at least that one hurdle is covered.

"Guess I'll talk to her friends next, I think they're going to be harder to convince than Masumi-san will be," I mutter to myself.

Grandpa smiled, "Yeah, you're probably right there my boy."

After that, we shared our usual meal and talked shop until dark. I sent off a couple of messages before being able to talk to Marin-San on the phone about her shoot.

"And then, I was finally able to actually visit the school that they used as the template for Saint Slippery Girls! Wakana I was SOOOOOOOOOO excited you have no idea! I took so many photos on my phone! Like sooo many! I can't wait to show you all of them and-"

Yep. This was the girl that I was going to marry.
