"Well, guys, here we are!" Sonic announced to Tails and Knuckles. "Time for another spectacular premiere for our latest adventure on the big screen!"

The limousine carrying the iconic trio pulled up outside the movie theatre. Sonic's ears perked up as they caught the sounds of cheering from outside. He grinned broadly. He knew he was going to be greeted by a large, excited crowd as soon as he stepped out of the vehicle. They had all gathered for Sonic's arrival at the premiere of his newest movie. It was the third instillment of his motion picture series - and this one was to draw in the biggest worldwide audiences yet.

"Just listen to those cheers!" Sonic said to his costars. "All my fans are as excited to see me as they were way back when I arrived for the premiere of my first movie!"

"I hope they'll be pleased to see us, too," Tails murmured to Knuckles, twiddling his thumbs nervously.

"Of course they will!" Knuckles said assuringly. "They were delighted when the two of us turned up to the premiere of the second movie! No doubt they'll be glad to see all three of us here for the third one as well!"

"Then what are we waiting for?" Sonic grinned. "C'mon, guys! Our public awaits!"

The driver of the limousine got out and opened the door to the rear passenger seats. Sonic quickly jumped out onto the red carpet - and was greeted by loud roars and cries from the countless people gathered on each side. The fans cheered while the paparazzi flashed their cameras. The premiere of Sonic's latest movie was an event not a single one of them wanted to miss.

Sonic smiled broadly. This premiere was certainly bigger than those of his last two movies. He waved to the excited crowd, happy as always to see so many people gathered for his latest film.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Sonic called, waving to his fans and the press! it's great to be back for another movie! So glad you could all join me!"

As the crowd went even more crazy, Tails and Knuckles emerged from the limousine. They stood alongside Sonic to take in the cheers and yells that were surrounding them - before the fox and the echidna realised something that the hedgehog didn't.

"Do you see what's going on with these people?!" Tails exclaimed.

"How can I not?!" Sonic chuckled cockily. "I'll have to be quick giving these guys interviews and autographs before the movie starts! That should be no problem with my supersonic speed!"

Knuckles shook his head. "Can't you see they're not here for you?!"

"What?!" Sonic's smile vanished, his jaw dropping in disbelief at what Knuckles was suggesting. "What are you talking about, Knucklehead? All these people have clearly gathered for my latest movie! That's why they're so excited right now - because the star has just arrived!"

"They sure are excited," Knuckles agreed, "but not because of you!"

"Because of him!" Tails added, pointing.

Sonic frowned as he turned towards where his best friend wanted him to look - before his blue face filled with bewilderment over who had just arrived.

A second limousine had pulled up behind Sonic's. The driver had just opened the door to allow the passenger to step out onto the red carpet. The moment he had come into view had sent the crowd into hysteria. They were all incredibly delighted by the arrival of who had just arrived at the premiere, having made his big screen debut in Sonic's new movie.

Sonic's jaw hung open. He was flabbergasted by who was getting all the attention from the crowd instead of him.

"Shadow?!"

Shadow marched down the red carpet, resulting in louder screams of excitement from the crowd. Camera pointed to the Ultamite Lifeform, flashing away as the journalists held microphones out towards him while his fans held up cell phones and leaflets for the film.

"Shadow, can you tell us what it's like to become a film star?"

"Shadow, can I get your autograph?"

"Shadow, is it true you did all your own stunts in the movie?"

"Shadow, will you let me take a selfie with you?"

"Shadow, what do you have planned next for your new acting career?"

"Shadow, any chance you could record a special message for me?"

So many questions from everyone around him were being fired at Shadow - and he had no intention of answering a single one of them. The dark hedgehog stopped as he gazed around at his enormous audience, giving everyone a frown as he folded his arms.

"Hmph!" he grunted. "I don't have time to waste on fools like you! I've got a movie to go see! It's starting any minute now - and I don't want to miss a second of it since I'm in it!"

With that, Shadow raced down the red carpet, ignoring the requests of his fans and the press. He disappeared into the movie theatre, leaving everyone who'd gathered for the premiere outside - including his three costars who'd gotten him the job in the film in the first place.

"Well…" Tails cried. "To think Shadow couldn't be nice to all these people who were here to see them!"

"Well they'll get to see him in the big screen!" Knuckles grinned with a rub of his shoulders. "Getting him in this movie is gonna make us some big bucks at the box office!"

Sonic sagged his shoulders. He was dismayed that everyone was here at the premiere to see Shadow rather than him. Not a single person was paying attention to him that moment. Nobody was begging him for an interview, a picture or an autograph They were all relishing how they'd just had a few seconds to marvel at the presense of Shadow the Hedgehog.

"How could everyone here be excited to see Shadow instead of me?" he asked. "It's me they should be here to see! I'm the star!"

"What's that, Sonic? Are you mad that everyone here is paying attention to Shadow and not you?"

Sonic's ears flickered. He gritted his teeth with a clench of his fists upon hearing the voice which had spoken to him in a taunting tone. He turned around to see Dr Eggman was standing behind him on the red carpet. His arch enemy was sneering at him. Having never received any attention from the public at the movies' premieres - since he was the main antagonist - the mad scientist was enjoying seeing Sonic getting robbed of any love and attention from the crowds.

"I guess you could say the star of the movie has been completely…" Eggman paused, his smirk widening. "OVERSHADOWED! HA!"

Sonic rolled his eyes, not the least bit amused by the terrible pun Eggman had just cracked. He walked with Tails and Knuckles along the red carpet towards the movie theatre. The irked hedgehog looked over his shoulder at his nemesis with a glare, making no effort to remind him the movie was about to start. He was perfectly happy to leave his arch foe laughing outside to be late for the first showing of the new film.

"That wasn't funny," Sonic muttered, shaking his head, "and you're not funny, Eggface!"
