Lloyd got back to the real world.
He was still in his Oni form. Strangling Roby.
Lloyd immediately let go.
"What the heck was I doing? This is just way too much for the plan to look realistic. Maybe… It's far too dangerous, but…Yeah… I should." Lloyd thought in his mind for a few seconds and returned to his more human form.
This time something felt different. His head felt heavier, his hearing was more sensitive and could hear the others approaching him about 1500 feet away.
Lloyd knew he should hurry but the cave was very tunnel-ly, so he had some time.
He looked at Roby, he seemed to be fine, just a bit in shock and coughing.
Lloyd let go just in time.
He sighed in relief.
Then quickly checked himself over. He could do it easier, since there was a little stream nearby.
Dark pinkish purple horns were sprouting from his forehead. His ears looked a lot sharper, glazed with a darkish pink at the start. The marks of his subconsciously created help were also there, but a little bit more seen. The one's of subconscious Lloyd were a lot more faint, barely seeable. Lloyd's hair had light purplish pink ends and his eyes were still mostly green, but this time with a hint of purple and a little bit of… Golden? Well, at least his clothes were still the same, but he had to change those, they didn't really fit his new look anymore.
Then he noticed that the stream had a weird smell. It was poisoned. By the same smoke he had to destroy.
You can't let it survive. It will poison everything, especially humans are very susceptible to it. Takes only a few minutes to get a deadly dose.
He had to get Roby out, but the others were also nearing on him.
"Maybe the smoke will scare him? He- I said it had very threating colors. He could escape easily in a minute, I'm sure. Roby's a fast runner. If anything I'll make this cave open-air" Lloyd thought.
The hybrid charged up his green elemental power and hit the wall once.
Nothing.
Then Lloyd charged it up again and tried hitting it again, but his power was gone in an instant.
"What did that wall ever do to you, Lloyd? Smacking walls is not cool! It wrecks the whole scenery!" Roby said in a pretty sassy voice.
"Huh, weird. I thought you'd have a bigger understanding after our little… Predicament."
"I can go through anything, especially for Wyldfyre! So don't underestimate me!"
"Dude, I strangled you without even really being conscious. And- Is that the Elemental Cup?"
"Yeah! So you ain't going nowhere. Your game of catch is over!"
Lloyd started panicking a bit, the others were really close.
"If that's what you really want…"
Lloyd started running at Roby.
The game's master was not expecting that. But he realized Lloyd was going after the cup, so he tried to get it away from Lloyd, but the boy was too fast.
Just when they were a few inches apart, the son of Garmadon jumped up, tackled Roby and made his hand turn into pure Oni power that went into the Cup when he landed.
A huge blast went off but Lloyd managed to keep running and quickly grabbed Roby while at it.
The Cup shattered.
Lloyd remembered his leg injury, since he landed not so nicely as Roby. Roby was on top of Lloyd and unconscious.
The grandson of the FSM put the game's master off of himself and barely managed to stand up.
While black dot's appeared in Lloyd's eyes, he checked on Roby. He seemed fine, just maybe with a head bruise.
Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon tore of a part of his suit and bandaged Roby's head, but he didn't have enough time to do so to himself, the others came in.
And, of course, the first thing they saw was an injured Roby, a shattered Elemental Cup and a limping Green ninja with a bloody hand.
Then the wall the two of them were blown back started shattering.
Purple and red smoke filled the room. It somehow smelt like a dead body and even had a sinister form, but then Lloyd realized that it looked very similar to the dragon he saw in his vision.
The Green ninja quickly covered Roby's mouth with another piece of his suit.
And hurriedly went to the side while being in so much pain that he could pass out at any moment.
The ninja were glaring at him some sort of anger and sadness. And Ras was enjoying all this. His eyes said so.
"Roby! Are you OK?! Roby!" Wyldfyre screamed. She went to the wall and saw her loved one unconscious and with a bandage on his head that had a little bit on crimson. She nearly cried.
"What did you do?!" She nearly roared.
" I didn't do anything! And you better get out of here! This stuff is poisonous, especially for humans, and very flammable!" Lloyd shot back and punched a wall so hard it crumbled and air got in.
"And seriously, go help Roby and everyone in the City of Temples… Evacuate… It… The smoke is going to get out and…The current of wind will make it go to the City of Temples… The slightest spark will make it blow up…" Lloyd was shaking.
Ras was still on his guard while the Ninja didn't know what to do.
"We must help him. What was just said about the smoke is true. My sixth sense confirmed it. The analyzation of this poison gas also verified it. But before we must get out of here and help Lloyd and Roby." Zane said.
"Why do we have to help him? He hurt Roby!"
"He also saved Roby by covering his mouth and nose with cloth and by bandaging his head. Besides, Lloyd is in far worse condition."
"Wait what?" Cole and Nya said in unison.
"His left knee's bones are fractured, he is the one that was most exposed to the blast and the one that took Roby's fall. A few of his rib cage bones are broken. And sudden growth of his ears and horns made him even more weak. He is on the edge of the opening he just created and he is about to pass out to the outside!" Zane started running to catch Lloyd, Nya and Cole followed.
But they were too late. Lloyd was already falling off . They tried to catch him with elemental powers, but the smoke prevented them.
The last thing Lloyd saw was his family-no his enemies now crying out his name and nearly crying.
And Lloyd couldn't help but smile.
"Now… you… know my…pain…" A faint voice left the boy's mouth.
Everything went black.
