Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, and May dismissed their Keyblades and turned to their friends.
"That was amazing," Agumon said.
"They said that you have an act of dealing with evil monsters, and they weren't kidding," Wormmon said.
"Well, taking out evil monsters comes with the job," Sora said.
"And it never gets even easier," Ash added.
"But if the Heartless are here, then it's a good thing that we're here," Lyra said.
"Marill," Marill said.
"Nothing like this has ever happened before because we've never seen them before," Tentomon said.
"From what we were told about them, the Heartless are attracted to the darkness from the hearts of living things," Hawkmon said.
"You got that right, Hawkmon. When the Heartless are here, it's never a good thing," Kairi said.
"Takuya, do you think Bokomon and Neemon would know something?" Izzy asked.
"They might," Takuya said.
If they do, then we should ask them when we see them," Jeri suggested.
"Right," Ryo agreed.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, the DigiDestined teams, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, Marill, Guil, Mime Jr, Munchlax, and the Digimon continued to walk through the town to get to the bottom of the Heartless showing up.
They arrived to a tall building with a picture of a book at the sign.
"And here we are," Gomamon said.
"I wonder if Bokomon will remember us," Tommy said.
"Of course he would, Tommy. He'll be thrilled to see us," Zoe said.
"We better get in then," Rika said.
Agreeing with Rika, the group stepped inside the library.
"Hello?" Ethan called out.
"Anybody home?" Naminé asked.
"Agh! What's all that racket?!" A voice shouted. Down came a new Digimon came down. It is a bipedal Digimon with white fur on its body and a horned head with pointed ears, grey fur on the mouth, and black eyes. It has three claws on each hand and foot, and wears a pink haramaki. "Libraries are supposed to be quiet!" He stopped and saw the group of six humans. "Takuya, Zoe, JP, Tommy, Koji, Koichi! I don't believe it! Am I dreaming?!"
"No, you're not dreaming, Bokomon," Koji said.
"Oh, words cannot express the joy I have in seeing you again!" Bokomon happily exclaimed.
"We feel the same way," JP said.
"It's good to see you again," Zoe said.
"Oh, I had hoped you would return! I really did!" Bokomon said. Mime Jr went up to Bokomon. "Oh, hello."
"Mime, Mime," Mime Jr said.
"Aren't you a Pokémon? The same Pokémon that Neemon and I was told about?" Bokomon asked, doing some movements. Mime Jr mimics Bokomon's movements.
"Mime, Mime, Mime," Mime Jr said.
"Hey, speaking of Neemon, where is he?" Tommy asked.
"Oh, he's probably loathing around here somewhere. Neemon! Neemon, where are you?" Bokomon shouted.
"I'm coming!" A voice shouted before a crash was heard. Everyone rushed to the source of the crash. There was a pile of books, and coming out is a Digimon that resembles a rather skinny yellow rabbit creature with long pointed ears. It has stubby arms and wears overlarge red pants. "That was fun! I wanna do that again!"
"You idiot! Can't you go one whole day without dropping anything?!" Bokomon shouted as he grabbed Neemon by the pants and snapped him.
"Ow!" Neemon cried in pain.
"Is it always like this?" Takato whispered to Takuya.
"It is," Takuya whispered back.
"Look at this mess! It took me weeks to get all these books organized! Now, thanks to you, it's going to take me some more weeks to get it done!" Bokomon angrily exclaimed. Neemon turned to the group and his eyes popped out.
"Hey, it's Takuya!" Neemon happily exclaimed.
"Huh?" Bokomon asked, turning to the group, feeling embarrassed and forgetting about his friends.
"Oh," Bokomon said, blushing in embarrassment. "Sorry. I completely forgot about you." Bokomon chuckled nervously. He noticed the other humans with the six DigiDestined. "I'm sorry, I don't think I met you."
"It's okay, Bokomon. Takuya did tell us about you. My name's Sora, and this is Pikachu, and this is Xipak," Sora introduced himself.
"Pikachu," Pikachu and Xipak said.
"And I'm Kairi, and these are Angel and Celeste," Kairi introduced.
"Eevee," Angel and Celeste said.
"I'm Riku."
"Eevee," Eevee said.
"My name's Naminé."
"Azurill."
"My name's Ash."
"My name's Leaf."
"I'm Ethan."
"My name's Kris."
"I'm Lyra."
"Marill," Marill said.
"My name's Brendan."
"I'm May."
"My name's Max."
"I'm Lisia."
"I'm Tai Kamiya."
"I'm Matt Ishida."
"My name's Sora Takenouchi."
"I'm Izzy Izumi."
"My name's Mimi Tachikawa."
"I'm Joe Kido."
"I'm TK Takaishi."
"I'm Kari Kamiya."
"I'm Davis Motomiya."
"My name's Ken Ichijougi."
"I'm Yolei Inoue."
"My name's Cody Hida."
"I'm Takato Matsuki."
"I'm Henry Wong."
"My name's Suzie."
"My name's Rika Nonaka."
"I'm Ryo Akiyama."
"My name's Jeri Katou."
"I'm Kazu Shioda."
"I'm Kenta Kitagawa."
"And my name's Amy."
"Charmeleon," Guil said.
"Mime, Mime," Mime Jr said.
"Munclax," Munchlax said.
"Oh. I think I heard of some of those names before. Could it be that you could be DigiDestined, too?" Boko asked.
"We are," Tai said. Tai, Davis, Takato, and the other DigiDestined showed Bokomon and Neemon their Digivices.
"So it's true!" Bokomon said.
"Yeah, that's what we already told you," Agumon said.
"The ones who holds the Crests of Courage, Friendship, Love, Knowledge, Sincerity, Reliability, Hope, Light, and Kindness. And you're the ones who has the Digi-Eggs of those same Crests. And you're the ones who destroyed the D-Reaper," Bokomon said.
"D-Reaper?" Sora asked Takato.
"It's a long story," Takato said.
"We've met them back in the real world, and we need to hear it from you, Bokomon. The Heartless must have followed us in the Digital World, and we need to know why," Takuya said.
"The Heartless?" Bokomon asked.
"Yeah, they're those monsters that come from the darkness in people's hearts, and we need to figure out why they're here in the Digital World," JP said.
"And we thought of you," Tommy said.
"And we led them here, so what can you tell us about them?" Veemon asked.
"I don't think I have ever come across anything like this before. Let me see," Bokomon said, taking out his green book and he opened it. "Let's see, Heartless. Heartless. Heartless." He kept turning through the book and he came across to a page that caught his eye. "Ah, here it is." He reads, "'For information on the darkness in the heart, please see Wisemon's book.' That's it?" He slammed it shut. "It doesn't look like the information we want is on here."
"After coming all this way," Koichi said.
"Anyway, Agumon and his friends mentioned something about legendary warriors, so what can you tell us about that?" Kairi asked.
"I suppose I can accommodate you," Bokomon said, opening his book again. "Long ago, a great evil once covered the Digital World. Our ancestors have suffered great hardships and evil Digimon have run rampant, until 10 Digimon warriors appeared and quelled the evil Digimon. And just as mysteriously as they appeared, they vanished. The warriors all harnessed the powers of flame, wind, ice, thunder, light, wood, earth, water, steel, and darkness. They soon passed their powers down, in case they were ever needed again. But evil has reared its ugly head from time and time again, and other Digimon warriors have appeared and put a stop to the evil, and so on. And that was when a group of human children called the DigiDestined have arrived to the Digital World and vanquished the evil that plagued our world, and peace has returned once more."
"Along with flowers and butterflies," Neemon said. Bokomon pulled Neemon by the pants and snapped him.
"What did I tell you about adding words to the story?" Bokomon asked.
"Uh, not to?" Neemon asked.
"Man, these evil Digimon makes it sound like Ganondorf and his villains," Sora said.
"Yeah, and Organization XIII, too," May said.
"Changing the subject, Bokomon, would you know a red Digimon named Guilmon by any chance?" Takato asked.
"You know, I actually met him before. Him, Leomon, a Terriermon, a Renamon, a Lopmon, a Guardromon, a MarineAngemon, and a Cyberdramon all live here in the village," Bokomon said.
"So you do know them!" Kazu said.
"Yes, but I don't know where they went. I saw them leave the village several days ago. They didn't even tell anyone where they were going," Bokomon said.
"Oh, man," Kazu said.
"But that was when those 'Heartless' started to show up and everything. There wasn't that many of them at first, but their numbers began growing each passing day. If they show up at the village, then they could be all over the Digital World," Bokomon said.
"I was afraid of that," Sora said.
"No. We have to find them before something happens to them," Henry said.
"Renamon can handle herself out there and she won't back down from those things," Rika said.
"That may be true, Rika, but the Heartless are relentless," Henry said.
"Henry's right. For all we know, there could be stronger Heartless out there," Takato said.
"And that gives us a reason to get out there and find them," Sora said.
"I'm with him. They're your partners, and it's only fair that we find them before they get dealt in by the Heartless, or maybe some other Digimon that won't fight fair," Tai said.
"What are we waiting for? Let's get going," Agumon said.
"And let's hurry," Biyomon added.
"Okay, everyone, let's go," Sora said.
"Take us with you! You may need me again," Bokomon said.
"Me too! Me too!" Neemon said.
With that said, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, the DigiDestined, Amy, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, Celeste, Marill, Guil, Mime Jr, Munchlax, and the Digimon have started to take their leave of the village in the direction Guilmon and the others have gone.
As they walked, Amy took it as a time to get to know Veemon.
"You know, Veemon, Davis has told me about you," Amy said.
"Really? What did he tell you about me?" Veemon asked.
"Well, he said that you're really cool, and he was right, you are cool," Amy said. Veemon just blushed. "And you're also cute." Veemon blushed even redder, but not as red as Davis's face.
"We could stick with cool," Davis said.
"Oh, come on, Davis. Kari said that there are cute Digimon, and Veemon is one of them," Amy said.
"Yeah, but TW said that there are scary ones, too," Davis said.
"That's 'TK', Davis!" TK and Kari yelled. This earned a laugh from all around.
"You know those are right for each other when they say that, don't you?" Jeri whispered to Zoe.
"You know those two are really cute together, don't you, Jeri?" Zoe asked.
"You sure got that right, Zoe. I also saw it with Tai and Sora, the other Sora and Kairi, Riku and Naminé, Ethan and Kris, Matt and Mimi, Brendan and May," Jeri whispered back. She even giggled. "Even you and Takuya." Zoe blushed.
"What makes you think that I have something for Takuya?" Zoe asked.
"Well, I know it when I see it," Jeri said.
"Well, how about you and Takato? I saw how he was always looking at you, and how you two talk," Zoe said.
"Really?" Jeri asked.
"Yeah, and he seems to blush whenever he does," Zoe said. Jeri looked at Takato as he was looking at her. When he saw she was looking back at him, he quickly turned away, but she noticed he was blushing.
Just when they were walking, they were unaware of a few pairs of eyes watching them. The sets of eyes on the group belonged to a bunch humanoid Digimon with a body made of gray rocks each. They have yellow eyes and two rocks on their heads that resemble bear ears. They have three fingers on each hand and three toes on each foot. These Digimon are known as Gotsumon.
"Hey, where do you think they're going?" One of the Gotsumon asked.
"I don't know, but if they're heading down there, then they've got more rocks in their heads than we do," another Gotsumon said.
"Especially with those things out there," another Gotsumon said.
The group kept on walking when something got in front of them. It turns out to be a bipedal creature made of yellow rock, with its limbs and joints bound by white strings. It has red eyes and its arms are very developed and long enough to rest its hands on the ground while standing. It wears a metal mask with a brown belt that covers the upper half of its face. This Digimon is known as Golemon. Golemon lifts its arms in the air and swings them down, making everyone scatter.
"What's his deal?" May asked.
"And what do you call him?" Max asked.
"That Digimon is named Golemon. He's a Digimon whose body is made entirely of rock," Hawkmon said.
"Sulfur Plume!" Golemon shouted, firing super-heated gases from its mouth. Everyone dodged the attack, not wanting to be hit with it.
"Okay, you asked for it, rock-head!" Sora exclaimed, summoning his Keyblade. Golemon rushes right at Sora to raise his fist.
"Rock Punch!" Golemon shouted, attempting to punch him, so Sora blocked with his Keyblade. Pikachu jumped and swings his tail with an Iron Tail, landing a hit. Riku summoned his Keyblade and rushed at Golemon as well.
"Let's take this walking pile of pebbles down!" Riku said.
"You've read my mind!" Sora said. Sora and Riku rushed at Golemon as Pikachu and Eevee joined their partners.
"Sulfur Plume!" Golemon shouted, firing super-heated gases from his mouth again, but they dodged. Sora, Riku, Pikachu, and Eevee struck Golemon, bringing it down.
"Well, that was easy," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
Just then, several more Golemon appeared all around them.
"You were saying?" Riku asked.
"Ee," Eevee growled.
"Did you think it'll be easy?" The first Golemon asked, getting up. "You'll have to fight us all." With that said, Kairi, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, and May summoned their Keyblades and prepared for combat.
"Tai, I think we better get into this," Agumon said.
"Just like old times, buddy," Tai said, holding his Digivice. The rest of Tai and Davis's teams held their Digivices and they started to glow. Beams of light shined down on eleven out of twelve Digimon and their entire bodies began to glow, much to the amazement to Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, and Amy. Agumon, Gabumon, Biyomon, Tentomon, Palmon, Gomamon, Veemon, Wormmon, Hawkmon, Armadillomon, and Patamon started to transform.
"Agumon Digivolve to..." Agumon has turned into a bipedal reptilian Digimon whose design carries elements of the ceratosaurus
and a monster called Gomora. He has orange scales with blue stripes covering his body. He has three clawed fingers on his hands and three clawed toes on his feet, with claws protruding from its heels. He wears a dark brown rhinoceros beetle-like skull on his head. "Greymon!"
"Gabumon Digivolve to..." Gabumon has turned into a giant beast resembling a wolf with light blue fur, a white underside, dark blue tiger stripes, magenta claws, dark blue-tipped blades, and a very curly tail. "Garurumon!"
"Biyomon Digivolve to..." Biyomon transformed into a giant bird of fire similar to a phoenix. Her body is wreathed almost entirely in orange flames. The only parts that are not are her mouth with protruding teeth and her two feet, each of which has five talons. She has blue eyes and large wings capable of supporting flight. "Birdramon!"
"Tentomon Digivolve to..." Tentomon has transformed into a bipedal Digimon with four arms that strongly resembles a rhinoceros beetle. His head is eyeless and has a black skull helmet with a long horn. He has two pairs of large wings on his upper back. He is blue in coloration with black muscle in the torso, arms, and legs. He has a black stinger on its pelvis. "Kabuterimon!"
"Palmon Digivolve to..." Palmon has transformed into a giant Haniwa-faced cactus, with a tuft of orange hair wearing a pair of boxing gloves. "Togemon!"
"Gomamon Digivolve to..." Gomamon has transformed into a Digimon that resembles a cross between a walrus and a polar bear. He has shaggy white fur covering his entire body except around his blue eyes and feet which reveal black skin, red claws, long ears, and a single black horn on his head similar to a unicorn. "Ikkakumon!"
"Veemon Digivolve to..." Veemon has transformed into a blue humanoid dragon Digimon with a horn on his nose. He has a white chest and jaw, with an V on his chest, with two lines coming out of the bottom of the V to make it look like an X. He has a yellow V on his head, three fingers on each hand, three toes on his feet and has small horns in place of knuckles. He has a blue tail and white wings. "ExVeemon!"
"Wormmon Digivolve to..." Wormmon transformed into an insectoid Digimon with a humanoid body structure. His body is covered in a green and gray exoskeleton. He has pincers on his feet, "Spikes" on his forearms, and claw-like fingers on his hands. He also has two insect-like wings on his back and two long antennae on his head. "Stingmon!"
"Hawkmon Digivolve to..." Hawkmon transformed into giant bald eagle with red feathers and a ruff of brown feathers at the base of his neck. His head is adorned with two large horns and a single long feather as a crest. "Aquilamon!"
"Armadillomon Digivolve to..." Armadillomon transformed into a gargantuan ankylosaurus covered all over with osteoderms, armor plates and scutes. He has green eyes and a helmet-like covering with a pair of massive horn-like scutes. Each of his legs wears spiked collars. He has a purple belly and has an iron spiked ball mace on the end of his tail. "Ankylomon!"
"Patamon Digivolve to..." Patamon has transformed into a humanoid Digimon covered in holy white clothing. He has six, white, feathery wings commonly associated with angels. He has long blonde hair, and his upper face is covered with a silver mask that has the Christian cross. He also wears a long blue loincloth and four matching straps on its right leg and left arm attached. "Angemon!"
Sora, Kairi, and the other Keyblade wielders were awestruck by what they were seeing. Max and Lisia were also at awe.
"Did they just evolve?" May asked.
"So that's Digivolution," Ash said.
"It's awesome," Lyra said.
"Marill," Marill said.
"Come on, guys! Let's show them that they're not the only ones who works as a team," Greymon said.
With that said, the twelve Digimon engaged the Golemon as did the Keyblade wielders and the Pokémon.
"Sulfur Plume!" The Golemon shouted as they fired their gas attacks at them. Brendan casts a reflect to block it as Kairi casts a flower spell, covering them with flower petals. Sora, Riku, Ash, Brendan, and May threw their Keyblades, striking the Golemon on the mark as Ethan casted a blizzard spell as Naminé casted an aero spell. Marill fired a Bubble Beam and Azurill fired Bubble as Pikachu and Xipak fired a double Thunderbolt as Angel, Eevee, and Celeste fired Swift.
"Nova Blast!" Greymon shouted, firing a massive fireball from his mouth.
"Howling Blaster!" Garurumon shouted, firing a stream of blue fire from his mouth.
"Meteor Wing!" Birdramon shouted, flying up and fireballs rain down.
"Electro Shocker!" Kabuterimon shouted, firing a giant electrical ball.
"Ready for my Needle Spray?!" Togemon shouted, firing a barrage of needles from her body.
"Harpoon Torpedo!" Ikkakumon shouted, firing a horn and opened into a green missile with a red head.
"V-Laser!" ExVeemon shouted, crossing his arms and firing an X-shaped laser.
"Moon Shooter!" Stingmon shouted, firing a huge needle from his arm.
"Blast Rings!" Aquilamon shouted, firing ring-shaped beams of energy.
"Tail Hammer!" Ankylomon shouted, swinging his mace-like tail.
"Hand of Fate!" Angemon shouted, with his fist shining gold, then firing a beam of gold energy.
"Cat Laser!" Gatomon fired a pink laser from her eyes.
The attacks all struck the Golemon on the mark. The Golemon all roared in pain as they were struck. Many of them all disintegrated into small bits. Some of the Golemon were still standing, refusing to stay down. They growled fiercely at their opponents.
"There's no end to these guys," Ethan said.
"What did you think?" A random Golemon asked.
"Time for you to get crushed," the first Golemon said.
"I don't think so!" Ankylomon shouted as he charges. "Megaton Press!" He plowed right through the Golemon like they were bowling pins. Riku then casts his metoer spell as Ash casts his flare spell, hitting them. The Golemon were struck by the powerful magic.
"Okay, at the same time!" Greymon shouted as he, Garurumon, Birdramon, Kabuterimon, Togemon, Ikkakumon, Angemon, Gatomon, ExVeemon, and Aquilamon fired their attacks at the Golemon, taking them down. Some of the Golemon were annihilated while the remaining others had enough and ran away. The Digimon de-digivolve back to their previous forms as Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, and May dismissed their Keyblades.
"That was awesome fighting, Agumon," Sora said.
"Thanks. You handled those pebble-brains like you handle those Heartless things earlier," Agumon said.
"When you started to get bigger, you kinda took me surprise," May said.
"Us too," Lisia said.
"It was awesome," Max said.
"Oh, it was nothing," Gabumon blushed.
"But the only one who didn't change was Gatomon. Why was that?" Kairi asked.
"Well, those Golemon were only Champion level Digimon, and I didn't have enough energy to Digivolve, but I had plenty to fight," Gatomon said.
"Champion level?" Sora asked.
"Maybe we should explain," Henry said, speaking up. The Keyblade wielders turned to Henry. "The thing is, when a Digimon Digivolves, they take on a new form, and they get stronger when doing it. Unlike Pokémon, they actually have different levels that indicates how strong the Digimon is. Agumon, Gabumon, Veemon, Wormmon, Tentomon, Biyomon, Palmon, Gomamon, Hawkmon, Patamon, Armadillomon, Bokomon, and Neemon are all Rookie level Digimon as Gatomon, Golemon, and those Numemon are Champion level Digimon," Henry said.
"Wow, that's cool," Leaf said.
"I'll say it is, Leaf," Ash said.
"Can Bokomon and Neemon do that, too?" Lisia asked.
"Oh, we can, but we just haven't done it in a long time," Bokomon said.
"You were always afraid you would Digivolve into something gross," Neemon teased. Bokomon tugged on Neemon's pants again.
"Oh, be quiet!" Bokomon snapped, letting go and snapping him again.
"Anybody have idea why those Golemon just attacked us out of the blue like that?" Joe asked.
"Not a one," Gomamon said.
"But it was a tad fishy," Palmon said.
Unknown to the group, they were being watched by an unknown creature. It is a black Digimon whose main body appears similar to an eighth note. Its face has a red crest with a single white-and-red eye in the center. It flies using two, bat-like wings that have red spots on them. This Digimon is known as Soundbirdmon. Soundbirdmon then flew off in the opposite direction.
Meanwhile, a shadowy figure evilly laughed as he was watching from a projection on the group.
"So it is true. Not only has the DigiDestined have returned, but the wielders of the Keyblade have arrived to the Digital World. There is no doubt that they are in pursuit of Wisemon, because he will reveal what he knows about the Heartless and about Ansem the Wise's part in the Digital World. I will have to keep a close eye on them for the time-being, and strike against them when the time comes," the shadowy figure said as he laughed again.
Who could this mysterious being be? And what nasty plans could he have for the Keyblade wielders and the DigiDestined teams? Stay tuned if you wanna find out. That'll be it for now.
