All Gunther had planned for his years at Kippernia University was to study hard and row well. It was all lined up for him by the spring quarter of his second year-metal at the spring races, take the stroke seat, and spend his last two years leading his boat into victory. In this story, Gunther will find love and become better for it and Jane and Jester will finally get together as they should. Pepper and Rake will also be happily together and even Smithy will find love!

Gunther wants to make amends with Jane for the past and is given the perfect opportunity when Sir Theodore makes an announcement. He seizes the opportunity to be closer to her and secretly romanticizes about a possible relationship between them.
