In 1996, Dumbledore's Army was formed at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to
counteract the ineffective Defense Against the Dark Arts instruction being given by Dolores Umbridge.
The members of Dumbledore's Army would go on to fight the Voldemort-influenced regime at Hogwarts two years later. While the more prominent members names are rather well known, there were other members who contributed just as much. This is a story of one of those brave students.
Meet Taylor Clark, a Gryffindor in the same year as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione
Granger. Her father was a Gryffindor alumnus, but her mother was a Ravenclaw who always held hope that her daughter would follow in her footsteps. When Taylor was sorted into Gryffindor, a rift
began to form between mother and daughter. Over the course of the historical events each year Taylor
attended Hogwarts, Mrs. Clark grew increasingly desperate to hope that she could sway Taylor away
from danger. From suggesting that Taylor could be re-sorted by the Sorting Hat to possibly even
moving her to a different school. However, Taylor stayed true to her Gryffindor bona fides, and refused
to turn her back while Voldemort clearly planned on taking over.
When Voldemort's resurgence could no longer be denied, Mrs. Clark chose to evacuate to
America Taylor made the difficult decision to stay in England. Caught between wife and daughter, Mr.
Clark ultimately chose to leave as well, out not before reaching out extended family and set up a
healthy Gringott's account for Taylor, allowing her to stay and fight.
A survivor of the Battle of Hogwarts, Taylor went on to become a Professor at her alma mater,
teaching Magical Fine Arts. However, she still possessed all the skills learned from her time in the
D.A. So, as head of the Auror Department, Harry Potter recruited Taylor for special missions to be
carried out during the Summer off times. Missions that technically require Taylor to be away from
home for weeks, even months at a tone, undercover. Missions carried out across the timeline, chasing
after Dark Wizards attempting to manipulate the timeline.
Therefore, armed with a Ministry of Magic issued Time Turner, and a residence magically
insulated from timeline changes, Taylor hunts these Dark Wizards, aided by her faithful house-elf.
Krikky (a member of Hermione Granger's house-elf rehabilitation program, receives pay, and Taylor
strives to not give Krikky any orders, always asks politely, and makes it clear Krikky has the right and
ability to mention if incapable of completing a task), and Aramis, a Spectacled Owl.

Taylor Clark awoke to the sound of tapping at her window. She looked over, and saw her owl,
Aramis, perched with a message tied to his leg. With a wave of her wand, the window opened, and
Aramis fluttered in. Taylor took the message off, and read it. She frowned, realizing that she was facing
another long trip.
"Krikky!" she called. With a snap, the house-elf appeared.
"Yes, Professor Taylor?"
"Would you please pack our bags? We're going on another mission."
"Right away, Professor," Krikky replied, and she poofed away. Taylor got dressed, then
accessed the secret compartment hidden behind the bookcase. From there, she withdrew a box with a
small pouch in it. She slipped the pouch in her pocket, and waited for Krikky in the kitchen for
breakfast.
"We'll leave right after we eat," Taylor informed Krikky.
"Where are we going?" Krikky asked in between bites.
"America," Taylor answered "According to the message, the Dark Wizard we'll be tracking
fled there when chased by the Aurors."
"Why don't they contact the American Aurors?"
"They did, but it turned out he had an illegal Time Turner," Taylor explained. "They were able
to determine what year he traveled to with a spell. That's where we come in." She pulled the pouch
from her pocket, and set it on the table. "We should get ready."

Within the hour, Taylor stood in the middle of her living room. Two small bags sat nearby, enchanted with Undetectable Extension Charms. Krikky gathered up her bag, then climbed up into Taylor's arms. Aramis fluttered over, and perched on her shoulder. Taylor picked up the other bag, dangled it from her arm, and took out the pouch again. Overturning it in her hand, a Time Turner slid out. The special Time Turner issued to her by Harry Potter himself looked like a miniature mantle clock, but with the outer casing removed. Taylor tapped the Time Turner with her wand, while she spoke the destination date.

"August 18, 1968."
