-NYC, S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ, Conference Room, The Next Day-

Squirrel Girl sat with the remainder of the Secret Warriors on Earth around a table as Captain America laid out a plan for them on a chalkboard in front of them. Vixen, Ghost Spider, and Patriot paid close attention to the First Avenger's instructions on a plan of the defense of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Camp and how they could press forward to gain more ground in the city.

"From the front of the camp, Vixen and Patriot can press further into the city directly while from the flanks-"

"He's sending your team into a suicide mission, you have no hope against the occupying army with less than half your team."

Squirrel Girl's hair stood on end at hearing this, her eyes darting to the different sides of the room. She didn't see anyone else in the room except for those present.

Captain America turned to her.

"Squirrel Girl?"

She didn't hear him, the whispering of unclear words taunted her from where she didn't know.

"Squirrel Girl!"

This caught the young woman's attention, she turned to him eyes wide.

"Y-Yes sir?"

A look of concern crossed his face, seeing the look of worry and anxiety on her face.

"I know you're stressed, we all are. There's no shame in feeling overwhelmed about the battles to come, especially with many of your friends in space. We just need to keep a cool head in battle."

"R-Right."

Patriot looked at her, seeing her eyes wander and dart to a space around the room as Captain America turned to Ghost Spider as she asked a question while Patriot asked Squirrel Girl a question.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

She turned to him.

"W-What?"

"You've got the same look on your face as yesterday."

"I-It's nothing, just stress like Cap said."

Patriot nodded after a moment.

Captain America pointed to the camp's right flank.

"Ghost Spider can move forward from this flank with some S.H.I.E.L.D. agents while Squirrel Girl can scout ahead-"

"How many Captain Americas have made similar plans against this enemy? He'll only fall into the same trap as those before him, dragging you down with him."

Squirrel Girl's eyes shot wide again though this time the others didn't notice as they were focused on the chalkboard. She bit her lip, trying to not make a sound as the words had made a chill run up her spine.

Captain America marked the chalkboard with her moniker's initials in a part of the city.

"We've been trying to send men out to find specific locations to hole up in to slowly take back the city one piece at a time. Squirrel Girl, you'll be in contact with Ghost Spider so that if worst comes to worst you can quickly reinforce each other. Vixen and Patriot will lead a squad from the left flank and cut through any enemy soldiers to separate any soldiers."

"He'll be sending your friend and your love to their deaths."

She almost spoke up, to quiet this voice but she caught herself. There was still no sign of whom this voice might belong to, it was just the stress influencing her own thoughts.

Captain America turned to them.

"Any questions?"

The others shook their heads before he turner to her.

"Squirrel Girl?"

A bead of sweat trickled down her face, though she shook her head as well.

"No, sir."

His eyes noticed her sweat and before he could respond, he raised his hands to his ear.

"Rogers here, go ahead."

He was quiet, his eyes narrowing.

"We're headed there now."

He put on his helmet, turning to the group.

"A small force of those soldiers were seen marching near the camp, we're going to take them out. Iron Man will meet us there. Let's go!"

The rest of the group hurried out of the room and just before Squirrel Girl could step out, she heard that whispering again then hurried after them.

-Space, Inside The Golden Griffin-

To the surprise of the Secret Warriors present, the ship was larger on the inside than it appeared from the outside. Its interior was lined with lines of golden energy that moved throughout it while the walls were a pristine marble. Daisy sat at the front of the ship, looking out at the vastness of space. Her eyes narrowed though she said nothing before a warm, feminine yet slightly mechanical sound voice spoke up.

"Ms. Johnson, Lord Crusader's instructions in my navigation system will lead you to your first destination as soon as the energies of the remaining Infinity Stones are located."

"Thank you, A.E.G.I.S."

The A.I. of the ship had been informing the group of the different mechanisms, functions, and parts of the Golden Griffin. Even though they knew she wasn't an organic being, they found something almost maternal in her voice when she spoke.

"Ms. Chavez informed me she's about to put in an order for lunch for herself, perhaps you and the rest of your team would like to join her?"

"I'm...I'm not hungry."

"You're in safe hands with me, Ms. Johnson, I'm here to help your team in every way I can. Please, you should keep your energy up."

Daisy almost chuckled.

"Thank you, A.E.G.I.S. I'm just focused on our mission."

"You haven't eaten since you got on board yesterday, you should keep your energy up."

The young woman sighed, rubbing the back of her neck.

"...You're right...You're right...I'm just-"

"-no need to apologize, I'm here to help."

Daisy nodded.

Inferno stood in a white space, a few of the soldiers of Imperious stood before him. He frowned as they charged forward.

"Come on!"

He swung his axe at one, the blade cutting the creature in half. Another flanked him, turning to stab with a spear. The young Inhuman swung a hand towards it, a stream of fire racing towards and enveloping it. He glared at it.

"Burn! Burn!"

Another of the soldiers jumped forward, slamming its shield against his face. Inferno grunted in pain, falling to the floor. The fire surging from his one hand died out and the soldier that he'd sent to swallow it was standing there unharmed. Inferno gasped at this. The soldiers raised their weapons, preparing to strike down with their weapons. The blades just stopped a few inches from Inferno's faces, his eyes wide.

"You said you wanted them to be like the actual soldiers."

Inferno sighed at the statement from A.E.G.I.S. while the soldiers faded away. The young Inhuman grunted as he stood up.

"I don't get it, why didn't my fire burn them?"

"Perhaps it has to do with what the young Faunian, Cassandra, spoke with you about?"

Inferno was quiet, his mind wandering back to what the Cat tried to explain to him.

"I...I don't know if I can do what she said...my fire, it's not like hers."

"How so?"

"Mine isn't magical, it's more like an actual fire...it will just destroy everything if I'm not careful."

"Are you envious of her?"

"What?"

"I'm a simple question."

"I...I don't...Maybe...It feels like she got lucky with her powers. Wait, aren't you supposed to be helping me control my powers?"

"Lord Crusader had me programmed with training methods to strengthen your present group's powers and skills. He learned from the Faunian, Metatron, that Cassandra was trying to teach you what it means to wield fire. She allowed me a brief scan of her memories of how she learned to master her pyromancy. Perhaps this is the best way to instruct you?"

Inferno panted, an expression of doubt fixed on his face.

"I...I don't know..."

He then took the axe in both hands.

"Again."

Riri sat at on a chair, using a tool to fix a piece of her armor.

"Hey A.E.G.I.S.? Can you bring up a scan of the damage on the right gauntlet, again?"

"Of course."

A golden holographic display of the Iron Heart armor appeared more than a few inches from Riri's face. She looked it over, rubbing her chin.

"So just tweak the-"

She then used the tool to open the panel on the under part of the gauntlet and began working on the wires. The young woman looked around her, the room had been shaped by hard light to appear like her old lab on Earth. A small smile appeared on her face.

"Thanks for your help, A.E.G.I.S. Continuum technology really is something."

"The most advanced you'll ever see."

Riri chuckled at this.

"Yeah, I can tell."

The young woman shut the panel and looked back the screen.

"How goes the search for the Infinity Stones?"

"Halfway complete, Lord Crusader has my system prepared to launch once the search is complete and your team is ready.."

"It's going to be quite the adventure."

"Is that why you're enjoying this so much? Seeing and learning more?"

"I guess you could say that. Why do you ask?"

"Lord Crusader instructed me that I needed to understand your team as effectively as possible to coordinate and properly motivate you for what's to come."

"Don't have to worry about the motivation, we're plenty motivated by wanting to stop that madman."

"I see."

Riri motioned with her hand, the hologram disappearing. She sighed.

"All this magic and monsters...I never expected anything like this...I've always relied on my tech...but when confronted by Imperious and his minions...I began to think maybe my tech wouldn't be enough."

"Your tech is impressive for human standards, your universe just hasn't faced a threat like Imperious before. His power is beyond most."

Riri frowned.

"Yeah...we learned that the hard way more than once."

They were both quiet for a few minutes before Riri pressed something on the band on her wrist. Her armor shaped into a box and sat at her feet. Riri walked around for a few moments, hands on her hips.

"I just hopes these damn Infinity Stones can't be contained before that bastard gets them."

"...Yes..."

Riri sighed.

"Right...you don't like cursing."

"I wasn't programmed with those words in mind."

"...Right...back at it..."

She then walked over to grab another mechanical box and opened it, tool in hand.

Kamala sat on a bed, her private room in the ship appearing just like her one at home. She looked around, sighing.

"How long will we be away from home do you believe, A.E.G.I.S.?"

"I'm not sure, what you will face on your journey in space. You wish you stayed home?"

"Part of me does...I miss my family."

"Do they know?"

"It's a long story."

"Your family doesn't need to worry, the Golden Griffin is a flying fortress and I'm fitted with advanced battle strategies and defenses beyond what you can imagine."

Kamala looked out the window, her eyes on the great void outside, partially listening to the A.I.

"I just...part of me worries what will happen...Imperious has to have a plan to get the rest of the stones."

"Lord Crusader believes so, though he sent us out to beat the Dragon Emperor's minions to them."

"How can you be so sure we can win this?"

"Imperious couldn't defeat Lord Crusader last time."

"...And he couldn't defeat Imperious...I'm just worried...we'll fight...but I don't know if everything will work out like we hope."

"Just have faith."

Kamala chuckled.

"That's why parents always tell me."

She sighed as she laid back on the bed, looking up at the ceiling.

"I promise...I'll be home soon."

Chavez took a seat at a table, Daisy walking over to join her. The former turned to her, a look of slight surprise on her face.

"I thought you weren't hungry?"

"A.E.G.I.S. convinced me otherwise."

"Well, let's see what they've got on the menu."

She looked around.

"Uh, A.E.G.I.S.? Do this place have menus?"

A plate appeared in front of either young woman.

"Just place a hand on the plate's edge and think of what you'd like to eat and they will be prepared in time."

"Ok, then?"

Both young women did as she instructed and began to think, eyes closed. Though they both found themselves talking about their mission.

"So team leader, got a plan for how we can beat these guys on other planets?"

"Your guess is as good as mine, we just have to listen to what A.E.G.I.S. informs us of them and go from there."

"Yeah, great plan."

"It's what I'm known for."

Both then began to chuckle lightly after a moment.

Soon steam gently hit them as the food they'd thought of appeared on their plates and cups filled up with liquid next to them. Chavez grinned.

"A.E.G.I.S. you are beautiful."

"I appreciate the compliment."

Chavez chuckled as she dug in.

Daisy sighed, smiling a little.

"Thanks, A.E.G.I.S."

"You're welcome."

Before Daisy could take a bite, the sound of a chime going off rippled through the ship and A.E.G.I.S. spoke.

"The first stone has been found."

Chavez turned to Daisy and nodded, the latter spoke.

"Set a course, A.E.G.I.S."

"As you wish."

AN: So the First Infinity Stone has been located, but which stone is it? Imperious already wields the Space Stone, and I'll let you all know that the Mind Stone is already still on earth, so that leaves four options: Reality, Time, Power and the Soul Stones. Please let me know which you think/hope is first. Until next time.
