The New Mutants in Town Synopsis.
This is another one of those stories that I loved at the start,but then all the motivation fell out of my brain.
This was going to focus on the kids breaking out from under their parents shadows and finding their own way to fight. And with shifting and psychic abilities mixed in with Martial Arts prowess, I was hoping to make this idea grow and flourish. Of course Miah and Dean would work out how to shift and get a really cool fighting style mixed in with the Katanas and Bo.
For Cassie, I was hoping to have a point where they had no way out, and something happened or was thrown at them and she would use her abilities to stop it. I was hoping to also have some kind of new enemy that no one had ever seen or fought before.
I was going to go down the usual trope of the parents brushed off the kids, but then Miah finds a way to prove that she and her cousins were right, and with Eoran as well they would go on their own adventure to track down and defeat this enemy. Maybe not the first time, but I would have had the parents come at the very end when they were done.
I would have been hugs and love and all the mushy stuff.
It's a shame that this story never picked up speed or been what it potentially could have been. I loved creating mini mutanty mutants, and having my original characters have babies. It was fun while it lasted.
